It does look good when its normal. But changing the saturation does not fix the contrast problem. And by now it seems clear that the screen contrast issue is not fixable by Asus. So can we go for a petition against Asus to take back their faulty devices and refund our hard earned money. Interested people please reply here.

Worst phone & service I have ever encountered. The phone is slow to respond & more times than not it tells you "Google is not responding" or "Facebook is not responding" or whatever it is you want it's not responding. It wouldn't charge even though it was saying it was charging. Sent it in for repairs & ended up paying about as much for them to fix it as it cost in the first place. Took about 3 months to get it back. The battery runs down so fast you better not be very far from a way to charge it @ anytime.

There is an app named splendid in most of the asus devices. Just open it and increase the saturation to approximately 70%. The display will look amazing.

My second device from Asus, before i own zenfone 5 and it impressed me very much, the built quality by asus thinks me to buy this tab , it got very good display and super touch sensitivity, high speed performance no lagging.i use samsung tab 3 and 4 before, when comparing to it this tab is one step ahead of it.16 gb rom helps to keep a lot of apps and high size games.2 gb ram with high speed performance.camera quality is not good, because tab always have low quality cam in every company.battery life is good.i got very fast upgrade of android from kit kat to lollipo within weeks of i purchase. the problem is the lack of accessories in market, i get the tempered glass protector and case from online website aliexpress.

I upgraded to lollipop and now my phone won't come on .. I had the phone for only a week I sent it to the Asus company in Texas and they said it will cost me 400$ I'm like no way the phone didn't cost that much so I guess I'm gonna sell the phone to someone for parts and just stick to Samsung like my gut told me to :(

Hello guys, i had this asus fonepad 8, my problem is space for installing larga data games such as pes manage or aspalt 8. Is there any solution to move the data game like obb files into sd card since my zenpad is only 4gb after repartitioning. I cant install any games since i dont have any space on my internal memory after updating stock apps on my zendpad 8. This is a good tablet but since i cant use it as i want, its very disappointing gadget.

Hi, I am having a similar problem after upgrading to Lollipop . No gps. Sometimes it gets a fix but only for a minute or so. Not sure what to do? Contacted Asus and they said to send it back. But I am buggered as I brought the FonePad 8 in India as the 16gb want available in the UK. I live in UK and it seems that there was only a local warranty. So I would have to send it India which is going to be a problem. Any ideas guys please.

Great all rounder. Games run very smooth, internet runs fast (of course depend on your provider), screen is beautiful and sharp. One drawback is the sound not quite satisfying. Overall, you would not regret if you buy this tablet.

Generally asus is lacking of software/firmware experience, almost all product is facing firmware related problem, for hardware, screen is a cheap stuff. Best price on the market, but don't expect too much on performance and stability, they still growing up. Brand with good firmware are xiaomi, samsung, sony. also avoid mediatek chip for hardware. nuff said

No, You are not alone. I've same issue. My phone is using 3.37GB as reserve after updating to lollipop. I've big problem on space. I'm not able to install any more app. I've almost deleted all apps I installed and moved some to sd card. My phone is crashing apps. It seems like, getting 8GB phone is not a good decision. Phone is fast and really good if no apps installed.

Both have bad battery life especially the Lenovo one (bcoz it has a faster cpu & higher-rez screen). I would recommend a tablet with atleast 5000 mah battery (if the screen size is above 7.9"). Why not consider a Xiaomi Mi Pad with a huge 6400/6700 mah battery and a super-fast Tegra K1?

Considering you are buying it for someone who doesn't like to fiddle with tech you are better off NOT buying a Windows tablet. Any of the Android or Apple tablet should suit just fine. With that said it will be more convenient for her if you get a tablet with good battery life. This one here has an average battery life & that too with none of the 2 sim slots used! I think it's mainly bcoz of the measily 4000 mah battery (many 5-6" phones have it) and the Intel Atom processor which, although performant, is hard on the battery.

I rooted my device and created a second partition on the external sdcard to link all the apps data with link2sd plus on it (you can really move every part of the apps, not like the normal app2sd function). Moreover i think that it could be possible to swap the internal and external memory with editing the vold.fstab file with root, but i am not sure it this is working with our device.

Have you put the screen cover on? That's the problem - at the top there is a proximity sensor that is blocked by the cover, and thinks it is blocked by your face (as it would be during a call) and so the screen is locked. Cut a bit out of the cover where that sensor is and you should be good to go.

This Tab is awesome. I already updated to lollypop version and it works very smoothly. Game and regular working performance is very high. I didn't find any lagging at all during multitasking. Sound and video quality is superb. The battery drained very fast if my tab is in idle mode. Is there any way to prevent the auto battery drained ?

Hello, I just upgraded this fonepad to lollipop. In the first time I got really excited, but in the end I know my tab is in trouble. When I play Summoners War, the contrast is going brighter and it's make the game appearance really awful. But it's only happen in a few seconds (or minutes) and then going back to normal agaian. Dear, Probably you may be using the tablet with the protective transparent cover that came along with the tablet. The proximity sensor on the front side of the tablet stops the display once a phone call comes when the user picks up the call for attending. SInce the cover is blocking he sensor, the display will be in that sleep mode. Remove the cover and rest will be fine.

The 8gb internal storage seems not enough for downloading additional update for stock apps. Notice that ASUS has it 3gb internal storage is used for reserve storage and we cant used it nor expand it. Hi Guys, i bought this fonepad yesterday, look and feel very good. but when i make a call, am not able to control the screen options or virtual control buttons ( back, home, clear all ). we can not cancel the call also, we have to wait until disconnect the call or opponent should cut the call. please guys is any one face this problem and resolved. kindly let me know the possible ways to overcome this problem.

I don't think you can connect your WD Passport, but it does support OTG, it means you can connect any usb flashdrive (not an external harddrive like yours). I've using this device for a month. I don't have any problems connecting my usb flashdrive..

It's a shame that Asus cannot sell the high spec version (2GB RAM) in some other parts of the world except Indonesia, Vietnam, Singapore and Philippines. I'm based here in UK and the only online shops I can find the high spec version are based in those countries and do not ship abroad.

During the first 3 weeks, the battery lasted longer for about 2 days (I'm not heavy user, just using the tab to read some documents). 2 days ago, the tab was fully charged, I put it in sleep mode and not using it for 1 day only. it's better to buy fe380cg with 1.33 ghz 2gb ram 16gb rom. because nowadays with multi applications 1gb ram is not enough. more than that if you can root your fe380cg then you can overclock the speed up to 1.83ghz which is highest clock speed available with z3560 using no frills could software for free. anyone successful with rooting fe380cg please let us know....

excellent bang for buck. the best in its price range and very good for gaming. camera is best for well lit situations, sub par in low light. low internal storage but easily solved buy microsd card purchase. resolution isn't an issue as things still look good, and battery is very efficient for the size. go for it!

It's not LTE but honestly, who has the quota to make LTE a real necessity? On 2GB monthly plan, you'll run out in like the first few days your data plan is refreshed. Then your speed gets capped and you may as well be using Edge or GPRS.
