Asus VivoTab RT TF600T - User Reviews

  • The operative system it¨s a shit: How i install Windows in this?

  • dont buy this nightmare! ghost touch ghost touch ghost touch

  • how do u wipe the whole thing.....like completely....

  • The ghost touch was fixed after the second time I returned it for RMA

  • I am loving this device. Just got it from a friend, with a broken corner. Maybe that was the fix for the ghost touch, I doubt it, and certainly do not recommend breaking a corner. The specs are more than adequate for doing the basics, I mean it came with a full compliment of Office 2003 installed. That in it of itself is pretty great, but to know that I can slip a 32 or later even a 64GB microSD card, bonus for sure. Cannot say anything negative, pretty excited actually.

  • The issue with this tablet is that the touch screen at some point, start to act funny, like if someone were touching the screen; it touch by it self. Once it happen, you loose control of your screen; of the tablet. DON'T BUY IT. To use it, you will have to disable the touchscreen drivers and use it with the keyboard like if it was a laptop. There's no way to fix it. Even when you send back to AsusTek, they change the screen and it will work from hours to maybe like 2 month, then the problem come back. That's the ghost touch or phantom touch everybody talk about. When you contact asus, they send you instructions about how to reset your vivotab to factory settings. I did twice and it wont work. Some minutes after you reset the tablet, the ghost come back.

  • i have the same ghost touch problem

  • I have had this device over the past two years and this is my unbiased and sincere piece of advice I can give to you . PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE.. DONT BUY THIS DEVICE. WHY? "GHOST TOUCH" this is the most crappy piece of shit one could ever buy

  • "Just discovered vivotablet these tablets are really reasonably priced think I'm going to buy on for my nephew"

  • If there was ever a good example of built obsolescence, the ASUS TF600T RT pad is it. After paying $600 for it, it has been the biggest waste of money on technology I have ever made. So, caveat emptor avoid ASUS completely and learn to put up with microsoft. Neither one cares too much about the customers

  • to someguy you say ipad 4 is better and vivotab is outdated ipad 4 has 2 cpu cores and 4 gpu cores vivotab has 4 cpu cores and 12 gpu cores If vivotab is last years tech then ipad 4 is from 3 or 4 years ago tech P.S. they are both good tablets - which is better depends on what you are using it for.

  • With the RD OS this beautifully built machine is a lemon. It is slow and ponderous in operation, lacks decent apps, gets no support from ASUS, and gets no support from Microsoft. To have spent $600 on what promised to be a little gem only to realize after a relative short time that it was money down the drain is not good enough. These two companies should get together and work out how we can go to Android OS or Linux or something also that works.

  • Its written GSM will not work on it

  • Bought recently tried to download windows 8.1computer has not worked since, their repair program on tablet useless, suggestbstaying aeay from buying this junk tablet

  • asus is in automatic downloading its has been doing this for two days saying please wait well how long does it take how to get out of this mode

  • Yes it can.

  • Can anybody help me, I have 3G mobile SIM card inserted but I dont have connection, do anybody knows how to set up connection with SIM card and to enter APN settings on this tablet? Need help fast :D thanks.

  • 64GB, 2GB ram, good battery, extra keyboard, can connect to a mouse, external hard disc, memory stick, etc. Actually a very good piece of equipment. only downfall is the lack of apps, but it is increasing steadily. Pity it is using Windows RT 8.1 (upgraded recently) and not Windows 8.1

  • AVOID AT ALL COSTS. though it was a good buy how wrong can one person be. i have multiple computer devices with different operating systems. it is difficult to determine if my problems are from Windows RT or the unit itself, but OMG! it is useless and i don't want to sell it to anyone. would like to change operating systems but can't seem to find anyone that has done it successfully.

  • Don't buy any Asus product if u r in India bcoz the is no proper service centers they treat u like shit, and keep the device for more than a month to repair or replacement so never go for Asus I'm feeling very bad I spent 479$ for this shit

  • It have the feature, it's a really good tablet.

  • I think "Me 400" is so cool buy that one

  • Hey guyz. I am planning to buy this tablet. I just wanna make sure that if it has all the features of office. Can anyone recommend me PS. do not say me to buy any ios or android cuz I just wanna buy it for microsoft Windows which they lack

  • there is another model called asus vivotab ME400. it has more storage than the TF600T and speed.

  • Avoid at all costs if you dont want be waiting an hour for 803kb app to install. Im trying to troubleshoot this atm but cant cos (even though its plugged in on charge,) it keeps discharging faster than it can charge. If your looking for £350 place-mat that is slower than dial up (when using LTE) then, this is the slate for you.

  • Unfortunately I had the same problem oh the gost touch after almost 1 month of using. It is started after that I calibrated the screen. I will try to send it to the store for repairing. It is really not fair because I pay it for 580 euro +vat. Sad sad sad

  • I got this device from e-bay , I really enjoyed it , browsing is fast and smooth. Playing games is a great but the sound is a little low. it's price is 279$ seems reasonable.

  • can ipad do the office works and print?

  • I have a Asus Vivo SmartTab. Don't buy this tab... Ghost touches all over the screen are rendering this unusable. I have reset it multiple times but nothing seems to help.

  • i disagree...high end android can do anything you want..sony's xperia tablet z can swim(not literally) coz its water resistant, has an ir blaster for remote control and has an NFC technology ..or an samsung galaxy note 10.1 that has a S-pen support,..ipad don't have these features.. sorry

  • You better buy iPad, because iPad can do anything you want.....;)

  • Boo, they have a very bad aftersales quality, they don't care about you. My vivotab went into a ghost touch after 40s days usage. And they are trying to fix this thing with a "rubber time"

  • Try to explore Asus VivoTab Smart.. It has a full Windows 8. Unlike VivoTab RT its limited Windows browsing. VivoTab Smart is a good partner for office works...

  • Hi all, I am planning to buy a windows tablet that good for browsing, games, and working purposes such as microsoft office like excel, word. Any recommendation? I am considering Asus Vivo, Microsoft Surface, lenovo thinkpad 2? Thx.

  • same for me. It is a good tab for basic computing. But now some touch features wont work. I spent $500 for 32gb which became a piece of shit

  • The specifications show that it has a talktime of 9hours whereas it has no SIM!!!!!!

  • Are we Brazilians rich? This model cost U$1450 on stores here in Brazil! Are you serious?! How I use Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 N8000 + cheap Samsung dual core notebook, I don't care.

  • RTTF600T Assus Vivo RT is a joke. I bought the first one and liked it but it ccrapped up on me.I took it back to the Store and they replaced it with a new one. I used that one for another 2 weeks and it also crapped out. The touch screen wont work . Before crapping out it was real difficult to work with.some of the function will not work. Swiping from right to left would not displace the devices and search icons. Then touch the other icons from the Desktop also never worked. I do not know why mcrosoft allowed Assu to disgrace them with such a product. I really loved Windows 8 but the Assus Vivo Tab is a piece of shit.Sorry for my french. Infact i went back to a Microsoft Store in the mall at Brideway Commons in NJ and found out the Microsoft had discontinued selling the Vivo Tablet. The only good thing about its looks. It was just beautiful cosmetically but a piece of junk. Now I am stuck with the Keyboard which i need to get ride off.

  • Asus VivoTab RT TF600TG....is it as of now available in indian markets?m not asking about online options,,please reply thanx

  • when you purchase this item does it come with a keyboard

  • anyone know the USD prices of the 3G and LTE model ?

  • yes, you can also plug in an usb hub and have multiple usb devices. it also works with external portable hdd

  • Can anyone tell me if the USB of the Asus VIVOTAB TF600T Rt is up to multiuse as with PCs

  • Raw performance last time i checked ipad does now have USB HOST and thats raw d only thing is apps and they are fast growing for RT cos when u make an app for Windows 8 It will also work with RT

  • Windows 8 needed UBS

  • of course go for vivo tab.. if u wanna play games..

  • I want a windows 8 tablet to play games and at the same time,do work like printing documents from the tablet to the printer straight away. Which tablet should i choose? Microsoft Surface or Asus Vivotab?(I dont care about the price bcause someone is buying it for me. BTW,can someone tell me the original price of these two tablets?

  • Small thing can make a big difference. Some users at least me will consider the other tablet with regular USB port.

  • Vivotab rt has 3 models: TF600T = wifi only TF600TG = wifi + 3g TF600TL = wifi + LTE ---------------------

  • vivotab rt has gps.

  • Hey, I just found out that there is another version of this tablet, ASUS Vivo Tab TF600TG. What does this mean? Asus Vivo Tab TF600TG specs -

  • They did i7 on 10" with win7 they call asus slate fully windows , check out dude ....

  • check out ASUS TAICHI... its awesome and has what u want..

  • They probably will make one. I played with this tablet yesterday. It is awesome. I love android tablets but they feel ancient now. I was going to buy a full blown pc but I think I'll buy this instead since I don't really need a full blown PC. Ill but a nexus 7 to replace my Xoom.

  • why don't they produce windows 8 tablet with intel i7 cpu's ?????

  • windows 8? why? why?!?

  • VERY nince specs ?!!! ...it's last year's mid-range...low res, no 3G/LTE... I don't see any reason to buy any W8 tablet just yet... In terms of resolution, mobile Internet, raw performance, even price, iPad 4 is way better, Nexus 10 will be better and probably also everything that follows Nexus will be.

  • Surface & Ativ Tab beatable

  • wow ... lightest 10.1 inch tablet

  • very nice specs.
