LG K4 (2017) - User Reviews

  • Same complaint. The phone is just bad

  • Not bad for a cheap phone. Does what it's supposed to do, and also gets 70Mbps download speeds.

  • Junk phone 1. Drains Battery very fast 2. Slow to charge. 3. Low storage 4. freezes LG used to be good phone but now very bad.

  • My LG Fortune(cricket wireless) don't support 3G and i didn't why. please what is the solution. Thanks

  • Slow, yes,But for beginner, is a start. Will go to another device once have learn how to work the k4 for now.

  • This phone it's way to slow . It's charging also slow and the battery don't last to long. I paid like 90 $ on it but i think it's not worth even 50 $. Waste of money .

  • small insufficient memory, keeps asking me to delete applets ,and will not move anything to the micro sd card, would not recommend

  • Nice mobile..fois. Autonomy

  • I recently bougth 1 for my mum. Well actually I gave 2/3 of cash. Anyway,Croatian tele operator VIP Net is giving it for 549kn if ordered via their WEB shop. 549KN=74€ or 91.5$. Also,Sycell 5000mah Powerbank for Android and iPhone divices is included in that price. For 480p screen, picture isn't terrible. For everyday use like phonecalls, textmaseging and some simple games it's excellent. As for camera and 480p screen, pictures and details are surprisingly good. Offcourse they are no match for my LG G4 16Mpx camera with 5.5"1440p screen, but that doesn't matter at this price point. A person that will use it has no need for high performance top of the line phone. Watching Youtube on 480p screen with 195ppi isn't an amazing experience. I lowered the resolution of my LG G4 from 1080p to 480p during some video in order to match max resolution of this screen. Except that 480p on 5.5" screen is 178ppi compared to 195ppi of this LG K4 2017 phone. Even so,my LG G4 absolutely destroyes this LG K4 2017 when it comes to bright colors in Youtube videos. So I don't recommend it for multi hour livestreams or whatever, but for ocassional short sessions, why not? It has everything a phone needs. Al the basics are covered and work great. Well above my expectations. I was a bit worried, fortunately it's better than I excpected. If something happens to my LG G4,since I can't afford another LG G4 or anything similar,I would very likely buy 1 more, for myself.👍

  • Dude, those numbers are off by a multiple of more than 2. As of this writing, the OS is slightly less than 2.5 years old. When the device was released the OS was admittedly already one version out-of-date. The processor is 4 years old now, and it really was already getting is long in the tooth even when the phone was initially released. Kind of disappointing that it was unchanged from the previous year's K4 (2016) K121 model.

  • This is a 5 year old OS running on a 10 year old hardware. its like buying a windows 8 pc with 512mb of ram.

  • Hello I dont know why u say the phone Shuts down itself Just dont install soo many apps Install Facebook Lite(uses 11 MB ) instead of Messenger and Facebook and dont install high demanding games on it. Its made for basic everyday use,not gaming. Front Camera is great for selfies, back one is okay but nothing special Battery is great it lasts more than a day( I installed Activity Launcher and deactivated KnockON) Display is not amazing but it functions well. I came here because my Charging Port does not work properly I got some dirt in it and when I cleaned it with thin plastic now it only charges on ONE of my chargers(i lost original charger),and I was wondering if any of you got the same problem. Thanks

  • Honestly they should rename this model the LG pos . I will never buy another lg phone after owning this for a week. it was a waste of 135 bucks including taxes and it will seriously make me reconsidering ever buying any LG product. it badly skinned and I truly loathe it after a week of owning it .

  • Nope

  • Do mobile legends work on this phone

  • Ya mine keeps deleting apps without letting me know and then when i need them they're gone and it shuts off randomly on me it is a stupid phone

  • nope

  • there is a fingerprint sensor?

  • Notice to all future buyers of LG mobile phones and current users. I bought an LG-4 H815 Smartphone on 11/06/2015. In October 2017, days before the warranty period expired I went to the main LG dealer in Portugal; a company called Worten where I reported that the cell phone warmed up loading and blocked frequently. I was advised to buy a new battery. A few days later the phone went out completely, with the warranty period expired. I was directed to LG Portugal where they informed me that it would not be possible to repair for lack of spare parts. They sent me the broken telephone and without any other solution, as the possible exchange for another model. I am sure that this will be happening in other countries and on different continents. They just don't care.

  • The 8 GB ram is not enough to run this phone with Android 6 which takes up almost 6 GB. The phone constantly run out of memory and can not update any apps. Just think about how many app you can install with the remaining 2 GB. It is a cheap phone but not functional

  • Yes

  • You can go in your settings and click on apps and you can disable a few oraginal apps on the phone you dont use and make more storage

  • What I like Speed and Ram are ok, it's not powerful, but it's enough, Radio runs well, GPS is accurate, Wifi and Bluetooth have a good range What I doesnt like Not enough space! SD card is used as another drive but wont extend your internal storage. Of course you can move your apps to the sd card but they will move back by themselves on the internal storage on each update! This is totally annoying! Each day this phone warns me for full storage beacause one of my app has updated. If you dont want to manage your storage each day, dont buy this phone.

  • I've had this phone over a month and I am very pleased with it. Its a no frills fairly basic phone so don't expect too much. However, if you're a low user of data then this phone is ideal. It does all the required basic functions. Storage space isn't great so if you're wanting to do filming and photo shots then I suggest you get a phone with more memory or buy an additional memory card. If you want lots of apps stored on the phone you will find that emails for example will not update. I did get rid of a lot of unnecessary apps to free up space so the phone performs well. I recommend this phone because its reasonably priced and worth the money I paid for it.

  • They all show up in internal for the App Icon and Settings...

  • LG LGX230F (LG K4 2017) This phone has some basic OS features. However this is to make sure the RAM is not depleted. My benchmark is always running Star Wars Force Arena, and I have no issues. The power button is at the back of the phone, under the camera which I really like as this phone is different. The power button is not at all clulmsy to the touch so no accidental power downs will occur. Camera: My model is 8MP back and 5MP front. HDR imaging, Auto Focus. CPU: 4x ARM Cortex-A53 @ 1.09Ghz GPU: Mali-T720 OS: Android 6.0 Screen auto adjusts to the area you in. ie, brightens in places with lots of light. Battery test: no sim, wifi on, location on - Duration 12 hours: 9% battery drained. Playnig 1 hour of Star Wars Force Areana - 40% battery drained. I really am enjoying this phone. I give this phone a 9/10

  • I also have to keep deleting messages in order to get new messages! Or delete data and apps in order to play music on my Google play music. I have an SD card and my apps are in there but it's still showing its in internal storage? Dumbest phone.

  • LGK4 fkin sucks for memory! I hate it. And this is the 4th time I'm restarting my phone to send a message in messenger. Ready to smash this garbage phone.

  • Thank you!

  • My friend owns the K4 2017 and yes, it does work for Instagram and I'm pretty sure it works for Snapchat, also.

  • Is it compatible with instagram and snapchat?

  • yeah you would think that but no the battery still sucks

  • I don't know why there are so many complaints about this phone. It works very well and does the things that are needed and runs quickly and smoothly. The picture with video is a little dark but other than that it is clear and smooth. I think that for an entry level phone it is worth the 40 dollar price that I paid. I give it an 8/10 .

  • According to the official LG website, the LG Fortune (M153) from Cricket Wireless (we have two of these) has 1.5gb RAM and has the following frequencies connectivity: GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz, UMTS Bands 2/4/5, LTE Bands 2/4/5/12

  • Purchased this phone and had it for 6 weeks and it would not charge....when returned to LG, they advised there was corrosive damage.....hmmmm, it was never dropped in water....humidity maybe??? Pretty cheap device if it won't withstand some humidity. LG would not even offer any partial compensation. Door slammed. Junk phone...Junk company

  • Some providers you have to have your data turned on to download pic msgs

  • Better buy 3 years old flagship like xperia Z3, the same android marshmallow update, better chipset sd 801, bigger battery, bigger ram, better camera and better in every way and in my country it is priced the same 120 USD = 1600K IDR And there are some local brands selling phones with better deals, arround 1M IDR = 75 USD with 2 GB rams and sd 4**

  • My battery died in less then a month

  • Samsung S4 :(

  • You probably need to set the APN settings for SMS, Check with your cell provider

  • Hi I just got this phone.and it wont download pics sent to me in messaging or send one in messaging. Do you know how to make it work?

  • Hi. Can I ask you a favor? Could you share the stock wallpapers of this phone please?:)

  • Recommending a Xiaomi device? You're taking your chances - grey market devices shipped from China will not be Google certified, which means one of two things: either you won't have Google Play services, or else the Google Play services will have been side-loaded via some unofficial hacks. In the former case, your Android experience will be compromised. In the latter case, the entire concept of a web of trust maintaining the privacy of your data will be compromised. I don't want either option. Xiaomi also manufactures devices that were deliberately intended for the international market, and those devices will be Google certified, with Google Play services factory-loaded. If you get such a device, then you'll have better chances of using the full Android experience without any middlemen spying on you. But since the only way to obtain Xiaomi devices in my country is online, and often there is no effective way to evaluate ahead of time the trustworthiness some of these online stores. So you may not know for sure if you have the Chinese or International editions of any of these phones, and therefore you won't know for sure if you're getting a genuinely useful device, or a device so insecure it's no better than a paperweight.

  • I have this phone and honestly it's great. I got it for 120 dollars and before it I had a Samsung Galaxy S4 and honestly I still feel like I'm using the S4. Yeah the 8 GB of storage sucks but put an SD card in and move some stuff around and it's no problem. Also the camera is better than you think. Everyone that keeps saying it's such a bad phone probably has a really good one so they see this has bad specs and immediately assume it's bad. If someone were on a budget I would recommend this to them if they were looking for a name brand and not one of those chinese ripoff phones that cost 80 dollars on Amazon. The phone has Android Marshmallow which is made for phones with lower specs so the quad core processor and 1 GB of RAM run really well with this phone. So far I'd give it an 8/10 for value so good job LG.

  • Id pay $25

  • Literally the worst phone ever conceived. Truss mi daddi!!!

  • YESSSSSS AMEN TO YOU!!!!! I couldn't have dreamt of saying it better myself!!

  • Phones like this shouldn't even exist in 2017. A Samsung S4 is much better and cheaper even than this one. YOU THINK!!! LOL!!! No seriously. Avoid this phone and this person I replied to's comments AT ALL COSTS. BOTH ARE MISLEADING AND WILL HAVE A NEGATIVE IMPACT ON YOUR LIFE!!! You have been warned.

  • I got mine for "free" and I'm very happy with it. I owned an iPhone 3G back in 2007 and I very happy with it too. Now, 10 years later, I would only get an iPhone if it came in a gift box. Nice job LG, no complains from a long time LG user. Cheers, Aaron

  • The main Camera is of 8Mp

  • Yes they kidding u!!! This budget phone people....what u want from $120 phone??? Think!!! LOL

  • its not that bad for the price if you got kids and you need to get them a first phone that cheap it will work plus with that low res screen mixed with a good battery size this will have great battery.

  • Sd 210 and 1 gb ram in 2017 !!! R u kidding me...

  • 100$? I wouldn't pay $25 for it, it's about 8 years too late.

  • Also look at the Samsung j3 bad phone for the price in my opinion but it still has a lot more features and better specs than this thing from LG.

  • Yes, while the phone is pretty cheap you have to understand that many phone makes like xiaomi provide much more stuff for the same price (Redmi 4). Hell even Samsung has better deals.

  • People complaining about the specs, you understand that this is a 100$ phone. Do you?

  • There are people including me who like a phone with these specification, Although a 16gb storage and 2GB RAM are welcomed and preferred but as it is now it is sufficient to watch 480p videos and messaging and if it is supporting cast screen then that's it.

  • So much for premium brand. Why would I pay more just for the brand!!

  • Reading those specifications makes me feel nostalgic. Thank you LG for bringing good old memories back.

  • So xioami its your class keiii, dont use premium brand then. Trims

  • This phone should cost $50 max... terrible marketing strategy by LG.

  • 5.0" with 480x854 pixels, 196 ppi, WTF!!!

  • I don't understand how any OEM can put out a phone with such pathetic specs as the LG K4, only 8 GB of storage and 1 GB of RAM. Who wants this garbage? I'd be embarrassed to work at LG and represent this kind of stuff. I like 5 inch phones but too many of them are so low end they are off the charts. I recently bought a Xiaomi Redmi 3S with a global ROM, meaning no Chinese apps and multiple LTE Bands. It has SD 430, 3GB RAM and a 32GB ROM, not to mention a 4100 mAh battery, all for only 137 US dollars, beat that!!
