Huawei G6608 - User Reviews

  • I'm still using it, purchased in June 2013. Battery still works OK, no replacementet done. I don't use WIFI cause it dries the battery fast. I'm a happy user. (OK, I know it's outdated but works for me).

  • How to hard reset this phone? :)

  • Very nice phone. I charge mine once a week and the wifi works good.

  • no it can't!

  • Hello, I would like to know before buying : -SMS function is "conversation" mode ? -Is keyboard light adjustable ? -How many SMS can we store max with microSD 8Go or 16Go ? Thanks Sorry for my english (Fr)

  • needs chaging everyday

  • can this phone use whatsapp??

  • yae your phone is very saensitive to water

  • can you guys help me get back my phone....pliz

  • i just want to ask if you guys have any software that can trace my fone....it got stolen from me.....pliz help

  • Is this handset waterproof?if it drowns in water for a while then it will cause a serious problem?

  • I'm really having trouble setting the screen so there are icons at the bottom of it. The only manual I have is in Spanish and can't download a copy as problem with the server. Help

  • I've been trying for weeks to tether this model phone via blue tooth or WIFI to a laptop so it can be used as my modem but no joy. Called Huawei Tech support who confirmed this is NOT an Android O/S device so has limited app support. It DOES NOT support tethering to another device. If you want to use the phone as your WIFI internet access then it's not the model for you. Strange that web reviews, the vendors web site or high street supplier web sites did not mention this phone does not support tethering to other devices.

  • I've been getting less that 50hrs battery before a recharge is required while in Standby Mode, I brought a better quality 3rd party battery but still not getting much more than 50 hours Standby Mode though some web list quote tech spec of over 200hrs and Dick smith(listed on Huawei own web site)state 360hrs Standby Mode. I called Huawei tech support and asked what did there own database list as the expected Standby Mode hours for a Huawei G6608 handset. They could only refer me to the user manual, when I walked the support tech through the User Manual PDF on Hawaiis own web site, no battery info found. The support tech could not find any ref to expected Standby Mode battery hours. I asked where the vendors such as Dick Smith get these handset details but Huawei tech support could not tell me.

  • I am having trouble setting up email client. actually when I could not read the message body of the email cause all I get is scrabbled characters

  • I'm looking for a dual sim phone is this phone can buy what i need is clarity and work on both SIM card and reception is it good

  • I'm experiencing the same problem: the phone as soon as I insert the code starts showing the interface and then suddenly crashes and blocks showing the Huawei logo! I took the battery, the sim, the memory card and...everything remains pretty thse same way....I'm severely disapointed with the device!

  • Is there Traditional Chinese Display or not?

  • I so much feel degraded with this phone, though how fine it is,it cant do the list i expect from it.Phones i've used have never displayed nonsense to me.Its so funny that i cant even play music and game simultenously which makes me bored, but in others i do so....It hardly intall must JAVA software for phones.Let me conclude saying,it has a lot expectation to offer when being seen, but sooo much disappointing after being experienced with it.i'm sorry but it's the truth. Please improve your product........

  • volume up/down - press up/down on circular d-pad. restart - press and hold on call end key for 2 seconds.

  • where did u get for 55.. i would like get it for that price too.. here in Berlin they r asking 70 :(

  • where is the volume up button on this phone? i cant find it anywhere also how do you restart it?

  • This phone is the worst i had ever in my hands it doesn't work with nothing and it has a realy bad sound. I think it is used to chineese laguage hahaha

  • no this phone can't hotspot.

  • Big ask but does the phone hotspot?

  • It's portable,nice and fine.But doesn't minimise.

  • i just purchased this phone in australia for $99 and i think for the price it's a pretty good unit. build quality is very good and i was surprised how light and comfortable it is to hold and pocket. it isn't perfect, but it does cover the basics very well. battery standby with both sims active is excellent. with a handful of calls and a lot of texts daily i can average around 4 days of use before a recharge. reception quality and voice clarity is very good. this unit is capable of holding a signal even in fringe reception areas and the voice is very clear. opera mini is installed by default and works very well and quickly over gsm for everyday browsing. the only fault i have with it is the qwerty keypad. the keys are an island style are a little small for large fingers and the keys have a tacky, rubbery type of texture to them kind of like the old palm/hp treo keypads. not a deal breaker but they take a little getting used to. for what it is (a feature phone) it covers all of the basics perfectly. good reception, good voice clarity, great battery life and one button messaging access make this a great texting phone.

  • for the price $99 in australia it is quite a good little messanger phone. the standby times with both sim cards active is very impressive, i have been regularly getting 4 - 5 days per charge. the reception quality is really good on this phone, it holds a signal perfectly even in fringe areas and voice clarity is clear and natural. the keys are a little small and have a palm/hp tacky feel to the touch and are a little too firm to the touch but it is easy to get used to. all in all, this is a good feature phone for texters. it does all the things you'd expect at this price point and it does them well.

  • I had the same problem with my old nokia not long ago and it was really scary! It was like it froze and all I could do was turn it on and of and it would show the nokia logo and then just do nothing! I tried taking the battery out etc. and it had to effect what so ever. What I did was call the nokia customer help line and told the them what had happened. They new straight away and within 5 minutes of their help, my phone was up and running again. So give huawei customer help line a call and I'm sure they will have the answer. (This advice can also be used with other branded phones aswell)

  • the phone is great.very easy to use.easy message typing, great sound quality, good screen in all angles(better than nokia c3 for examle).battery last for 3-5 days with all type of consume.i bought it for 55e and very impress with it.my recommendation

  • Please somebody to tell me if the quality sound of the mp3 is quite okay??

  • Re: Battery.... I've found it reasonable, though not great. Stand-by has been fabulous, but once you kick the wi-fi on, you notice a sharp drop-off as you'd expect. I generally make 8-10 calls a day, up to 20 mins in length and dozens of texts. Throw in some some tweets and it well and truly needs a charge overnight. My only peeve for this phone? Lack of customisation for the Profile settings for Silent and Meeting and alarm volume settings. Spoke with Huawei support and they ain't sure why the settings are that way. Go figure... All up a decent phone for my main criteria - dual SIM and cheap.

  • Just clear access point settings in wi-fi menu, to prevent turning off mobile.

  • can anyone tell something about batterry life?it is that hard to do yhis?

  • can i use this model in Norway?

  • Can this phone be used in the USA with an american SIM card?

  • What can I do when my phone is getting CRAZY?? I tried to connect my phone to my home wifi, and when I finished to write the WAP code,it turn off itself. Now,it doesn't work, the only picture wich appear is the phone logo on screen, and I have any access to the main menu... I already tried to change sim card, to put out the battery, but nothing makes it work.. ( sorry for my english,I'm french^^) Someone can help me please?? Thx :)

  • What video resolution is the camera capapble of recording and at what fps? Anyone knows?

  • The phone is cheap but very well built. Has 20mb memory and can be expanded with microSD card. Ringing is loud and clear, you can put mp3 for ringtone, but NOT sms sound, in call sound not so loud, but very clear. Screen is great, camera mediocre. Very fast in menus, Keyboard is pretty small, but you get used to it. I did not find any PC software to ceonnect it with a computer. Any ideas?

  • Is it possible to watch videos on youtube with this phone? I bought it today and i could't play any video

  • If you experience a possible Wi-fi poblem, don't panic, here is the solution: Wi-fi menu memorises all APs that you used tried to log-on. When memory is full trying to connect to a brand new AP will result in phone restart. Don't panic. Just delete few of memorised AP-s and WIfi will be good as new.

  • is tis phone gd

  • please answer me: is it fast in menu? the battery life? the sound in ear? the sound mp3? is it dual sim? thank you in advance :)

  • How do i synch the phone with outlook contact

  • No. It's single SIM on Vodafone PT. And so far its going nice. The battery is very good and has SRS sound!!! Funny stuff

  • Your phone comes with Dual-Sim?

  • I have bought yesterday from Vodafone PT and so far it works very well and cheap. Wifi also works good.

  • Typing is great as for the battery life i can spend almost 3 days without charging it, freaking awesome battery life.
