Asus Zenfone 4 ZE554KL - User Reviews

  • Import from cont sim card to your gmail account and save your all contact gmail account no need to save sim card Gmail account better option

  • very disappointed about SIM contact. SIM contact are not showingband new contact can't save to SIM card because of SIM card not showing but I can make call from SIM. can anyone help me please. I checked all the setting but no solution even customers services also not give any solution.

  • I need separate volume controls for Ringer and Notifications-- does it have that? Also, are Google Messages and Google Photos the default apps? My Samsung S5 has it's own apps for that and doesn't force the use of Google Apps, which I don't want to use. Moto E5 Play has Google apps as default and Google Photo cannot be disabled-- bad! Thanks for your help.

  • Yes, it has led notification.

  • Does this device a notification light

  • Pie is not that great anyway, leave it on Oreo.

  • ZE554KL - Pie is apparently an beta version that is not going to get an final stable release. Android 9 (Pie) Beta version will not be supported with routine updates. That is a very crazy decision ASUS. Bring a final stable pie version to your customers and fans.

  • Yes the user experience is excellent battery life has improved than before

  • ASUS has released Android 9 aka PIE today for our ZE554KL folks! WW-16.0620.1905.10

  • it has a touchscreen complaint , it has only 15 month old. not satisfied with this.

  • Yes, Android 9 aka Pie is coming in (Summer) June 2019. I want to see a optimized camera night mode in Pie. Asus, come on, do it right in your camera app!

  • Got update today for global ww ROM. Security now up to 1 March 2019. Been pretty impressed with Asus and the regularity of their updates. Pie should be available in June.

  • you must to flash it to the rom before you use it without battery draining so fast

  • Switch to Power Saver in Settings>Battery>Battery Saver

  • Same problem with the battery after update from Asus. F**king annoying...

  • I hope you're unduly generalizing things, 'cause I just bought one haha

  • Hi Undone. No, I wasn't talking about the LG G5 SE, I had the "real" G5, with the SD820.And yes, definitely this phone is better in plenty of ways. Only issue I have is that Asus has more thatn 2 months without any security updates... Besides from that, I'm in love with this phone. So much that, now that the wife needs to replace her Zenfone 2, I'm getting her the Zenfone 5. I don't think that I will move from Asus for a long time.

  • Will not work more than a year. I never drop it and it stop working after a year. Do not worst the money which I paid. It was cheap though and has a good battery life. but you get what you pay for. I wish I have bought a higher quality phone and at least last more.

  • Most probably, Android isnt getting a good bat calibrating from Asus, but you can try a trick that it almost always work. Turn off your Ze554kl. With the phone turned off press: -Volume down + Power (might take up to 5 seconds to turn it on). In recovery mode select: -Wipe cache partition (BEWARE: This option ONLY, not the others...)... Once you choose and the wipe is done, reboot your phone. It may take up to 2 days to calibrate you battery... Just use the phone normally and Android will figure out how to do it, in one or two or three charges. If not... then it might be a firmware problem, and thats up to Asus to resolve... of course, you aint gonna be the only one with that problem... Link:

  • If you refer to lg g5 se, you just cant compare... this phone is way better... if you refer to moto g5 plus, then it is a little bit closer... Asus is known for its fine tunning, "huge" RAM... although sometimes that hardware tunning isnt that fine. I always recommend Asus as a brand if you cant pay a flagship phone... think as the brand as the Oneplus... half step behind it. Always ´bout the best Asus´models, that is. It isnt cheap, but a little bit more affordable than any flagship.

  • Applications runs fast, you can boost your choice of apps Has Multi window mode for multi tasking When doing video call, you can minimize your call window and open other apps good volume for loud speaker and earpiece which is useful when making calls good mic, other end of call hears you clearly aptx, CD-like quality audio over Bluetooth battery lasts all day(LTE turned on, frequent web browsing, emails, office apps) Back Camera is very good Front camera is ok in good lighting, and on dark lighting, it is similar or bit better to oneplus 5t front fingerprint sensor, practical when phone is always in your desk, no need to lift to scan USB type C

  • Hi,i bought this phone and when using it's camera i noticed a whining noise, coming from the back of the phone, from the area of the 2 cameras. The whine appears only when using the main camera, the wide and the front one don't make the noise. I talked with Asus and they told me it's not normal,so i got the phone replaced and the new one has the same issue. Has anyone else noticed this problem?

  • I ordered the Zenfone 4 (SD660, 6GB RAM) because I definitely needed a dual sim phone, but didn't have the money for a flagship device. I have tried to always use flagship devices, this being the first time that I tried a midrange phone. Coming from an LG G5, I was a bit anxious about what to expect from the Zenfone 4 regarding performance, camera, responsiveness, etc., but have been extremely surprised and amazed by this device. The camera is really good (although the wide camera of the G5 was wider), the performance seems even faster than the G5 (pretty sure that it can be attributed to both the cpu and the 6GB of RAM), the design of the phone is amazing, the battery seems to last a lot more than on the G5, and it's already upgraded to Oreo, something LG has been having problems with. All in all, I'm extremely pleased with the phone, it gives flagship performance (except probably in games due to somewhat slow GPU, but I'm not a gamer so, for me, that's a moot point), has really good back cameras (not a selfie fan, so I have no problem if the front camera is not the greatest), has an amazing design and it seems that will receive updates in a timely fashion.

  • Got my new Asus Zen. After the Zen 5" and the Zen 3 (520), it is a great improvements on all aspects BUT BUT BUT the IPS refreshes in such way, that wearing polarized sunglasses and operate your phone simply don't match. I live in Greece and with so much sunlight, I just have to decide that I don't have a cell phone when I walk on the street.

  • Latest update for ze554kl 4gb ram version has f****d up the battery. Aps like instagram and utube, android system are draining the battery. Battery optimization isnt working. I used to get onscreen time of 8-10 hours per full charge, now with the same usage I get 5-6 hours. I hope Asus fixes the issue.

  • Yes, I agree with that. Asus updates mostly crashed the software until it affects the camera performance. But at the first, ZF3 was absolutely great. I used this regular ZF4 and Oreo update doesn't affect any at all (so far).

  • ZF3 camera was destroyed by the "updates" pushed out by Asus, just look on their forum for the number of broken cameras on phones that are now out of warranty. Best of all, even their own service centres said it is a software problem, so they cannot fix it.

  • Updated to Oreo, battery feels little bit better, camera is somewhat has been improved at particular things. Recommended Oreo for everyone.

  • Mine front camera isn't working anymore 😢😢😢

  • Mine works fine but am having problem with my front camera stop working after a month of purchase

  • Everything works fine on my Asus zenfone 4 ze554kl but unfortunately the front camera is not working anymore after a month of purchase

  • sar value?

  • The ZS550KL has blown me away. And purely because of that - not to mention I know Asus ALWAYS does it hardware good - I'm actually looking forward to switching to Z4 as soon as I can. The RAW support and in-phone editing is so, so handy and great in my ZS550KL!

  • Precisely! The last flagship I used was a Z1 and I've got iPhone 7, Galazy A5 users around me and i have NOT seen such true-to-life reproduction of the photos in ZS550KL that i'm using now. This 3 Deluxe is one helluva device, particularly the camera. One caveat though - the dac inside is not on par with the one in Mi Max that i use (as my primary device); found that out through using the Sony Media Centre music app. Anyhow.

  • I'm thinking about buying this phone. Are there any problems with audio quality (on headphones)? I encountered several reports about problems with sound quality (bass in particular) in reviews and on official asus website forum. Also how about low light picture quality compared to other phones like LG G6. Is it hard to shoot photos that are not blurred?

  • This is one of my choices. I like the design, front fingerprint, battery, chipset, standard screen 16:9. Looking forward to buy this.

  • Thank you. Being considered your opinion.

  • Zenfone 4, of course! Battery was pretty good, 5 hours screen-on-time for browsing.

  • Don't ever believed reviewer out there. I don't know why some reviewer stated that Zenfone 4 has average or sadly, disappointing camera. I used this phone for about 1 month and the camera is one of the best I've ever had. Before used this phone, I used Xperia XZs, Galaxy S6 edge and Zenfone 2 ZE551ML. This phone easily nails them! Daylight was truly incredible, lowlight is almost excellent, or above average if not decent. Some reviewers such as Digital Trends stated this phone has disappointing camera. Seriously, Zenfone 3 ZE520KL/ZE552KL already has epic camera and got many praised from reviewers but do you believed Zenfone 4 ZE554KL has bad camera? The offered hardware was a big upgrade from their predecessor and flagship-class!

  • I saw on much reviewer said Sony Xz and zenfone 4 has average camera and some said it has disappointing camera. Much reviewer praised mi note 3.

  • Its hybrid.. which means if u use sim2 u cant use or external memory...

  • Hello guys I planned to buy a new phone, which one is the best, Xperia xz, xiaomi mi note 3 or asus zenfone 4 snapdragon 630? A good phone for me is good battery and good camera. I am from samsung s7 edge, it goes laggy and crazy and dead 2 days ago. Pleaz help me I want to buy asap.

  • U r welcome Morteza ;->

  • Thank's

  • I have the same issue since the last update.. Front camera dont work..

  • Here's my review after about 2 months usage :- Performance (9/10): I got SD630 with 4GB RAM variant, zero lags or dropping frames on gaming. Smooth at all, but could be better if not much third party apps bulit-in Battery (8.5/10): Pretty solid battery life. I got 2 days of normal usage. 6h SoT of browsing, watch videos, play music. 4h SoT of gaming. Plus it has fast charging which charged 50% from 40 minutes. Could be better if had wireless charging. Camera [still images] (8.5/10): Camera is one of impressive feature. Daylight pictures come out detailed, punchy colours without oversaturated, maintaining lifelike colours, pretty good contrast and great dynamic range. Don't worry if you suffered with high-contrast scenes, HDR does a great job balancing light. Low-light comes about above average. Detailed and sharped but low captured light which produced little bit darker but still good. Bokeh was average, could be better if used hardware capability to assist software-managed bokeh effect. But overall great for this price range. Camera [video recording] (8/10): 4K video was very sharp, detailed and very good colours. EIS only available on 1080p@30fps, not on 1080p@60fps and 2160p@30fps. OIS doesn't eliminate shakiness well. But 1080p videos was good enough if you want a video with good stabilizer. But one thing makes me disappointed is it has very poor dynamic range. Hope ASUS fix this via software updates. Hope my review helped you all to make a choice. Feel free to ask anything ;-)

  • Guys should I go for Zenfone 5 ZE620KL or Zenfone 4 ZE554KL? I like Zenfone 4 design more than Zenfone 5 notch but Zenfone 5 maybe got better camera than Zenfone 4 which I really need. How does Zenfone 4 camera performs? On good light and low-light is it good enough? Really need help. Thanks for any reply.

  • Asus's models and sub models are impossible to identify 100% accurately. There are tons of confusion over at the Asus official forums.

  • Download "CPU-Z" from Play Store.

  • I began to use Asus Zenfone 4 (ZE554KL) one month ago. But I disappointed very much when I was noticed to not use double SIM card at the same time. Before, I used Zenfone 2 more then 2 years. And, I was very pleased to use Asus Zenfone 2. It was also able to providing 2 SIM usage at the same time. I expected to have better phone but Zenfone 4 seems has less specification. It is not acceptable. ☹️

  • I bought my Asus Zenfone 4 (ZE554KL) last sunday @ SM North. I got the SD660 with Adreno 512. I wasn't able to check everything though. but as far as I know what gsm arena post are mostly correct. to my surprise... it doesn't have fm radio and the model say's asus_z01kb. anyone can explained?

  • Use a benchmark app.

  • How do I identify if I get the SD 660 variant?

  • They giving attention only for any big brands, especially Samsung, Sony, Apple. Even their low-end devices got a review. GSMArena at keast give reviews on high-end (4 Pro ZS551KL) and the premium one (4 ZE554KL). Can be better give until low-end ranges.

  • i don't understand why. Some of zenfone are good smartphone. Sad that we are not able to compare with reviews.

  • GSMArena doesn't like particular Chinese brands I think.... even Samsung and Sony low-end device got a review, this premium phone doesn't give a review. I don't know why.

  • why no rieview on many zenfone phones ???

  • Camera performance is just average for the class of phone. The problem is the camera stopped working properly after 2 months! It takes over 10 seconds to focus and often miss resulting in out of focus pictures! Also, it don't track faces well at all!

  • The camera is very impressive! I assure you, you can get the best camera for this price range. Dual-Pixel PDAF, f/1.8 aperture, 1.4μm pixel size, colour correction sensor, they justify to have a great photos. Pictures was incredible on daylight, lowlight was also excellent. Not the best compared to other rival like Samsungs or Phones, but great compared with the phones with the same price tag. I used Xperia XZs before changed to this phone, the pictures came out blur and suffered with much noises on lowlight with my XZs. After used this phone, I can say this phone's camera was 2 times better than XZs! Moreover, you get an extra wide-angle camera which is useful to capture more scenes.

  • Could you describe the camera performed? is it good or bad? i got a big cut price on it, looking towards to buy it soon.

  • I think so. Snapdragon 630 is 4GB RAM while Snapdragon 660 is 6GB RAM. My brother got this phone 1 month ago before recommended to me, which he used 6GB RAM variant. There's a big difference on speed test.

  • Guys how to know the phone which one used snapdragon 630 and 660? is it that 4gb RAM is sd630 and 6gb RAM is sd660?

  • Got this phone 3 weeks ago, so far this is superb phone! I got 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage and Snapdragon 630 and the performance is super snappy! UI is very rich of features, this UI which is ZenUI 4 is better than their old ZenUI 3. The battery backup is also great, their 3300mAh battery could lasts for 2 days with normal usage and around 5 hours for continuous usage of gaming. No overheats just warm a bit. The camera is one of the impressive thing on this phone. The camera performs excellent in both daylight and lowlight! I can say this camera was better than my old Xperia XZs! The display is very visible under sunlight, full of colours! Thanks ASUS!

  • I bought selfie 4 zenfone 4 max. 2 wks ago. Most of the time it automatically logged out/hanging. Cant use it now.

  • No complaints since the last 20 days. Seems like Asus fixed the problems :)

  • I bought mine a week ago and the front camera is not working I don't know if you had the same issue with yours

  • Please do you have any issue with your front camera, I just bought the zenfone 4 ze554kl and the front camera turns black when I try to use it

  • You have no problems does not mean that the dozens of people on the Zenfone forums have no problems. I had the ZF3 and can't enjoy it because it cannot focus and cannot connect to bluetooth. Once again, because you do not have problems does not mean that the dozens of people reporting problems are fake.

  • You're rubbish for sure. Asus phone are great i have zenfone 2 and zenfone3 they're ok i have no problem with them Asus tblet and laptop are good too and i have boththis phone is nice and don't doubt buying it and enjoy

  • Every brand has a difference quality product, even Note 7 explode some users dont get commission (even online coupon discount from Samsung is worst here) like Note 7 Case seller and many more. Its okay if you moved but dont think like that again on another smartphone brands.

  • Crap hone, will not focus after less than 2 months use.

  • AQUOS S2 SHARP AQUOS S2 vs ASUS ZENFONE4 ZE554KL S2 140gr weight + quick charge 3 ZENFONE 4 ZE554KL 165g weight

  • sharp aquos s2 also have these specifications but you can buy 4gb+64gb & sd630.... 17:9 screen just like essential ph-1 with 310$ us 6gb+128gb (more rom space than zenfone 4) but still the price is lower than zenfone4

  • I bought for $ 479 the 6Gb version of ram and 660 processor at the Nissei house in East City in Paraguay, Original with total guarantee.

  • This may seem a bit off-topic at first, but trust me, it is very relevant here... In 2015, I bought the flagship Zenfone 2 64GB. No issues with the performance - it was a beast. Then, one fine day in 2017, the phone went dead without warning. I took it to the service station and they said the internal circuitry had "rusted beyond repair". So much for "Asus" quality! After that day, I vowed never to buy another Asus phone.

  • Looks like, once again, it'll be exclusive to just a few countries. It's been over 3 months, and it's nowhere in sight.

  • You are joking right? Many had waited months for them to fix a BT bug in the ZF3.

  • Yes!you pu can do it.

  • Yup, SD660 is almost same as SD835, different only clock rate, GPU, ISP and VR availability. Most of it features both are same.

  • hi i just got the zenfone 4 2017 and it says it comes with bluetooth 5.0. does that mean it allows for dual audio (connects to two bluetooth output devices at once)??

  • Asus support for android updates is fine maybe its the best company which follows software updates seriously

  • Atleast ASUS dont have security and privacy issues.

  • 500euro? No thankyou..

  • i have no problem wd sd 660 variant...bought a week ago....... gaming is sooo smooth, no heating problem.... but wish the battery cap shd be 4000mah :)

  • It is too late for me to return the phone now. The phone was not defective to begin with, only became defective after their OTA "update", so it is clearly a software issue. Anyhow, I fixed it now by buying a new phone, not Asus of course!

  • Yes, it became defective after an update, along with the dozens reported on Asus's own forums. Why an update can make a phone defective I wonder.

  • Ive had the Zenfone 3 ultra for a year now and i have no problems with it, performance is still excellent, i think ur phone is defective you should have it replaced.

  • Have you owned it? Could you give some reviews about this phone? Performance, camera, battery life if you don't mind.

  • Does it Support VoLTE in India?

  • OP5T better for same price!6

  • Forget it!

  • This is the best phone ever, much better than the iPhone X!!! It is a must have for every person in the world! Asus numba 1

  • Bought the ASUS Zenfone 4 630 variant ! So far so good, upon boot up ASUS updated to Android 7.1.1 Have loaded all my favorite apps, taken pics and videos without any app freezes or issues. Streamed FB, YouTube, and games without any issues either. USB C works nice and charges quick. No heavy power loses all day long with medium stream use. Also have had ASUS Zen2 with no issues either. I'm a medium duration app user, and careful with my electronic stuff even when on outdoor adventures or at parties. It works for me and doesn't power drain too quickly. We will see further, ASUS makes some great computing products and I've have no complaints with them.

  • Friends, return your phones for a refund, that is the only solution. They had kept the rebooting loop from the ZF3 on the ZF4, no improvements to their products at all. Return and refund before it is too late!

  • Hey there, I bought mine last week and it's also giving me problems, it shuts down all by himself, I was on my pc with the phone by my side and it just turned off. Did you get a solution for this?

  • This phone with more RAM and more powerful CPU actually perform worse when playing videos compared to a ZF2! What a piece of junk!

  • Looks like they never research on their phones, all of their phones always suffers with a problems that shouldn't happen on smartphones.

  • Well said ;-)

  • Unfortunately this OEM basically engineers "half way" and their Customer support is one of the single worst in the industry. We were big fans of their motherboards for years then their quality decreased so much we stopped using them. So, although specs are decent, it fails to make up for the exceedingly poor quality of the engineering and support. We had hoped their foray into smartphone technology would have shown that they were serious about their engineering, and possibly customer support, but that never materialized. There are better quality and supported alternatives. It's unfortunate Asus hasn't upped their game. Instead it's vastly decreased.

  • Asus updated their phones and now it will crash when there is an incoming call. Asus phones are not phones anymore.

  • Asus phones are very poor quality. On paper they look good, but...

  • expensive for its feature, no dust or splash resistant, design like the other phone compny the big S, performance is ok , camera very nice took some video and still shots from a concert, but still its expensive for its feature and design

  • bought this 4days ago and phone suddenly shuts down the 3rd day. now i am having problems with its replacement. been a fan of ASUS and this is the first time I got disappointed in them. hope my phone will be replaced.

  • stupid comparison

  • Asus's update for Zenfone 3 did not fix any problems but introduced new problems instead.

  • Rip-off design of the Nextbit Robin. I'm definitely not impressed.

  • Really? I have Zenfone 2 and its upgraded to Android 6.0.1 but suddenly its has random freeze and battery drain problem (but has better performance). ASUS give an update to fix system stablity and recommending user to factory reset data on it. And I have no problem at all on Lastest FW right now.

  • overpriced phone

  • Asus products cannot be trusted at all! They released another "update" for their Zenfone 3 and instead of fixing old problems, they introduced new ones! Think they are trying to brick the phone to force people to buy new phones.

  • Sorry for that :-( I can't help you.

  • Sombody please tell me if its going to land in india or not? If yes please at least tell me in which month they are going to launch it.

  • Well if depends many things, here ASUS has best SC like Samsung and LG. Motorola/Lenovo has good SC but is not,one of the best here.

  • A bit expensive phone for what it offers.

  • Why hybrid Slot?? Useless phone just because of 1 thing!!

  • 500€ for a snapdragon 630!? Go for OnePlus 5 straight and you get the 835

  • The only thing that comes out of Asus is this statement in broken English that makes no sense. If service centre in my location is far, I am to contact local service??? WTH??? "If service center here in your location is far, please kindly contact local service, they can help you for the repair process. Please kindly click below link and choose your region.

  • Well, I've saw many reviews and focusing is the main problem to this phone. Hope ASUS bring some software updates and get it fixed.

  • Sorry for that :-(

  • Zenfone 3 has "tri-focus", LAF, PDAF and CDAF, supposed to focus in 0.03s in any situation, yet it cannot focus at all!

  • I did that and bought my Zenfone 3 from SG. The problem is the phone is not sold in UK and now Asus UK is not interested in helping me at all. I am talking about paid for repairs, not warranty claims. Asus TW tells me to bring the phone back to where I bought it!

  • Very few, if any, problems are ever solved. The Asus reps will keep asking the same questions over and over again, making you clear cache and factory reset your phone (and loosing everything in the process) to discourage you from pressing on for a solution. If not, they will try and blame others for the problem. For example, I cannot pair my phone with my car, and they suggest that I change my car! I posted a video proving that every other phone (Panasonic, Sony, Motorola and even Oppo) can pair successfully and they just go quiet because they don't know what to do. Also, it is not just my car, there are people with the same problem with at least 6 different makes of cars. Asus is just not interested in fixing existing problems for its customers.

  • Any NFC?? Please tell me?

  • Asus phones may be ok in the beginning but because they mess with the OS and UI so much that the problems will keep coming. Every update will bring more problems. Look on the Asus forum and you will see that updates break cameras, charging, etc... Asus will refuse to fix it blaming the users instead!

  • Asus is veeeery bad in terms of support, very delayed and buggy updates. And they tend to abandon their phones without updates. Not cool.

  • What? You've gota be kidding. ZenFone isn't dead? And Euro500? Who in their right mind would touch it? As if every x-ZenFone user like me don't already know how bad their customer service is. Not to mention endless issues with ZenFone handsets. Good luck Europeans.

  • Because that forum used for solving problems. Duh -_-

  • Will considering it on my next upgrading.

  • Front panel looks like Samsung's galaxy series.

  • Asus phones are rubbish! Go read the Zenfone forums if you do not believe me! Asus never have any solutions to any problems except to bring it into a service centre. Every updates brings more problems to the phone and they have the nerve to blame the users.

  • What?!? 500EURO for SD630 variant? In Malaysia, SD630 variant only costs 420EURO (RM2099) and the price for SD660 will be estimately around 480EURO (RM2499). Come to Malaysia for lower price :D

  • I saw a review and Camera focus was awful and they mentioned it not dual pixel AF as asus promote , check Btekt review maybe after software update they will fix it but for 500 Euro it's hard to recommend it

  • sorry to disappoint you but that 500 Euro is just for sd630 , only asian market get sd660 , so 500 euro overpriced for just sd630 and by the way check review on UK websites , the camera focus is just the worst things ,it can't have that dual pixels AF that Asus promoted just like I told you before , it's the lens that support that but it's not implemented there that why the focus is so slow even with OIS the video at 1080 60fps is still shaky

  • That's true, Zenfone 3 Zoom maybe better than Zenfone 4 with SD630 version since there's no big different between SD630 with SD625. Improved RAM management which supports LPDDR4 type, and just little enhaned speed and features on the chipsets. And yeah, just wait for the review of Zenfone 4.

  • Yeah it is bad choice from ASUS putting the SD 630 variant for the most market. I heard only Indonesia get the Snapdragon 660 on South East Asia for now, Malaysia and Philippines (even India too) get the Snapdragon 630 version. Well, Cortex A53 on Snapdragon 630 may give you more battery life comparing Kyro 260 core on Snapdragon 660 which is Perform based CPU core but still is not like Zenfone 3 Zoom that you get the 5000 mah battery for massive battery life. So IMO, I think Zenfone 3 Zoom is more worthed than Zenfone 4 SD 630 version. But may we look the review first of Zenfone 4.

  • When will it start selling in India

  • Better get Galaxy S8

  • The price maybe far higher on SD660 compared with SD630 variant since there's some difference features between SD630 and SD660 variant. Maybe around 500 EURO for SD660 variant. But it's still reasonable price for 'premium mid-range' phones.

  • if that was true , then it should be better and perfect with sd660 variant but The price seems higher in UK £449.99 for just sd630

  • ZF4 has Dual Pixel PDAF. Watch it on YouTube which named "Zenfone 4 Design Story", the video mentioned that the phone has Dual Pixel PDAF. So it's true, combination of Dual Pixel PDAF with OIS would be greater than your X4 I think...

  • I agreed with you about the OIS but compare to most needed thing is AF features rather than OIS ,nowadays SD630 have EIS 3.0 which 60% of OIS so it's enough , and who told you that ZF4 has dual pixels AF , it's mentioned that sony lens support it but not included , I'm the one who should asked you that question claiming that ZF4 comes with DP AF alongside with OIS even the both devices not launched yet globally for my perspective , I did alot of search in all categories , and that was my opinion that moto x4 is better that zf4 ( for alot reasons price , stock android ...) despite that there are some similarities

  • Dual Pixel AF is nothing without OIS. Zenfone 4 also uses Dual Pixel AF and works together with OIS. Do you really have X4 and ZF4 on your hands? Or you just compared it based on specs you read anywhere?

  • Dear Gsmarena In some youtube reviews or previews, the screen is introduced as IPS screen. Are there two variants of screen as the CPU, namely IPS for SD630 and AMOLED for SD660? Can you clarify that?

  • Seriously Good. ;)

  • When did zenfone 4 change to quad core processors?

  • sorry bro , but I already know what ZP4 , you get wowed by primary cam but you Forget to compare the second cam , Try to compare and you'll see that wide angle cam on X4 a way better with PDAF for second, and take a look at overall camera front (able to shoot 4k ) to rear and you'll see that x4 is better in term of camera regardless the lacks of OIS but Dual Pixels AF is much needed about Audio asus always impelement DTS system on all products so nothing news despite the lacks of waterproof but the important is UI System that is near to Stock android and Price tag

  • really?? zenfone 4 has imx362 f1.8 with 4axis image stabilization, tri tech focusing system which is top rated at this moment. same wide angle les available as moto x4. x4 doesnt even have ois and same primary camera as moto z2 play. zp4 even has dts certified audio. finally everything comes down to pricing. moto x4 will be android one so if its cheaper will be better otherwise except ip68 zp4 is better in every possible way.

  • SD630 & SD660 in Zenfone 4 are octa-core processor.

  • This phone for me 9/10 because 1.STORAGE 2.THE PROCESSOR FOR A LOW COST PHONE 3.BATTERY AND LAST 4.THE GLASS why i like to this phone is first the storage. Guys the RAM of this phone is 4GB 100% good for hardcore gamers second the processor. Guys Qualcomm Snapdragon processor is the besy processor on any android than mediatek and corvex why? Guys Snapdragon is used in samsung galaxy s8 also in physical usage snapdragon is the best battery optimizer and make lag less while mediatek all local low cost phone has mediatex as cpu chip but its worst and for me a trash processor third is the battery. Guys zenfone 4 is the best battery low cost phone with 3,300 mAh compare to vivo V5 with 3,050 mAh but vivo V5 is pretty expensive than ZenFone 4 and last is the glass guys gorilla glass 4 is soo thick glass guys that put in a low cost phone Disadvantage: The only i hate to zenfone 4 is the QUAD CORE processor is ASUS BIAS? Why they didnt it make to octa core or hexa core or something??

  • try to compare it with Moto X4 , the camera system in X4 is a way better with Dual Pixel AF , for me the zenfone 4 didn't get most out of sdm 630 as the X4 did

  • guys, is this zenfone 4 good ? im looking for new phone

  • 8 models are announced for Zenfone 4 Series out of them only one phone contains 5.2 inch screen and its not sporting a SD 6 series SOC. Why Asus is more concerned about 5.5 inch Screen big phones ?

  • I think it's worth, SD660 performs almost like SD820. Both uses Kryo CPU. The SD660 model maybe equipped with 6GB RAM.

  • Can you read the comments atleast 2 pages before comment like that? Damn it. Just swipe your finger down and you already get answered! -_-

  • Is Sd660 modal worth?

  • It's IPS, but better, Super IPS+.

  • They do included fast charging in this one... or at least that's what the asus page says

  • Still no fast charging really shows how stupid Asus is. I'd rather get a OP5 or P10 with that pricetag. Overpriced piece of sht

  • it's ips or amoled ?

  • If oppo,vivo,j7 can pull then why cant we. Asus logic

  • Super IPS+ Display

  • Why 630 version only 5V2A.

  • no ingress protection whatsoever.... im an admirer of ASUS literally since my zenfone selfie still works pretty good in almost 2yrs of using it as my daily driver...however right now I don't know how they can justify these STRATOSPHERIC pricing considering some of these necessary specs are missing...... my clumsy brother had the deluxe zenfone 3 yet stops working after his 2yr old daughter accidentally spilled a glass of juice on the phone........... no blame for asus here...... but perhaps....phone nowadays should be atleast splash proof... blaaaahhhhh!!!!

  • This phone support QC 3.0 on 18W but for reason ASUS limit it on 15W. Check on Zenfone 4 official website. And... This phone isnt use AMOLED screen based that web.

  • These specs aren't final, they'll update once the device is officially released.

  • It has BoostMaster fast charging. But the GSMArena doesn't update full specs here

  • No fast charging that is simply ruined everything.

  • Right.

  • This phone does not worth €500. Better get OnePlus 5.

  • Love the phone ....SD 630 another monster like previous 625 version....Bluetooth 5 ,Quick charge 4 (15 min 50%) and more power efficient 👍👍👌&#128147;

  • Asus zenfone 4(snapdragon 630) will cost 399$

  • You can have a perfect smartphone at low price so Lenovo had to cut cost in camera department. If you look at the reviews the camera is average not terrible.

  • If we look at zenfone 2 and 3 's price at launch, zenfone 4 will be around $375 - $385 . Hopefully....

  • And terrible camera.... Otherwise excelente phone

  • The data is not correct, correct

  • Hope price will be less than 20k-23k in India. Then this will be the best choice.

  • Highly recommend the Lenovo p2. Perfect low price with all time battery life, close stock Android ui and super amoled screen.

  • If u need battery life phones here are the Mi Max 2. 5300mah battery Mi Max 4800mah battery Lenovo p2 5000mah battery Samsung C9 pro 4000mah battery Samsung A9 pro 5000mah battery Asus Zenfone Zoom S 5000mah battery Moto Z play 3510mah battery All these are primium smartphones available in india in under 30K

  • phones are being made with non-removable backs....glass backs...etc etc....for a good reason....the scheme works for them...."consumers" now buy new phones every year, many buy every six months!

  • My only complaint.... Battery... I was hoping asus will use 5000maH on their zenfone4 lineup as they use in zenfone 3 zoom. Now i need ti find other phone. Hopefully, the galaxy c10 pro will use 5000mah battery

  • It looks like almost all Samsung phones: same home button and ugly.

  • Fingerprint sensor on a back panel will make it looks ugly. Furthermore, I never messed up with fingerprint on front panel. It's still easy to reachable than on back panel.

  • They already did on this model. Use better Sony sensor (IMX362) and it has larger aperture f/1.8, so it'll perform better on low-light condition HOPEFULLY.

  • Don't worry, it has OIS

  • It's not AMOLED screen! IPS LCD screen confirmed.

  • Asus is falling. What happened! the zenfone 5,2 was fantastic now we get overpriced crap. If you like amoled screen go for Samsung mid range much better.

  • I told price of GSMArena isn't correct. for example ZF AR is 800EUR but it's not correct.it is lower than 700-750.and only 650-700USD. don't worry about these high prices. Good Luck.

  • You guys sure about NFC? Sure NFC = Yes? I will give my zf3 to my wife and buy zf4 cause i need use android pay and zf3 dont have.

  • why asus smartphone price became high maitain under 20 thousand rupee the company became very popular

  • still better zoom s, its beautiful design when mix with glass back cover again like ze552kl thumb fingerprint is worst, like samsung phone or iphone. back fingerprint is ergonomic

  • Asus Zenfone UI is quite heavy in terms of memory space used and also the running process. Found that too many unnecessary asus apps installed in asus phone. I believed that Asus know how to improve the specs and design but i dont know why they do not push their limit to produce high end phones. I once use asus phone for a long time and found that it become worst after a very long time used. I know how to maintain the android performance but sad, its useless against zenfone UI. I hope for the best Asus. I still love your laptop thou.

  • Te fingerprint reader on the back is way better... Who designs these things? Why the sudden need to dumb them down? The phone is big enough to play ping pong with it and you put a physical button with fingerprint reader in the middle of it... I'll love to see the design team using it with one hand like I'm doing now with my zenfone3

  • asus design is great but spec something not improve.... asus company please do review for u latest phone.....improve the spec specially camera....tq....

  • Price isn't correct.

  • LOL. The three users below me pointed out the weakness. I don't know why ASUS is still weak in smartphones.

  • OIS should be there in camera. don't provide dual cam without OIS. give single camera with OIS. It would be better.

  • No OIS no IP68, price now more than A5 2017 Nice ASUS make it worst

  • Are you seriously ? Snap 630 with 500 💶

  • do not buy asus phones because they have alot of problems i trust to the name of asus just because of brilliant history in hardware section i buy zenfone 3 zoom by knowing that there is no guarantee for asus in my country now im regret. wish i buy another phone from another brand my friend buy oneplus5 also without non guarantee & his satisfied with his choose

  • Zenfone Zoom S its just another confusing name of Zenfone 3 Zoom. If you live in Indonesia/Thailand/Philippines its called Zenfone Zoom S. I dont know about ASUS SC quality on another countries but here in Indonesia ASUS will give you a new one.

  • To be Sammy or not to be, that is the question if the picture is wright, hm.

  • what about asus zenfone 3 zoom?! zenfone zoom s its for america

  • over price no IP67/IP68

  • why

  • Here, ASUS will give you a new one if White Line issue still appear on Zenfone Zoom S.

  • Idk

  • Asus use to be an affordable good brand, out of the league since the 3 series. Look the dimensions and pricing, no way.

  • ASUS WHAT ABOUT WHITE LINE PROBLEM IN DISPLAY & ANTENNA PROBLEM IN ZENFONE 3 ZOOM u can go to the topic of this site & read the comments of users there is no fix & asus do not say anything about these problems

  • Better get Huawei P10 for that kind of cash.

  • 500??? For what this isnt Vertu or Gresso. Tell me what on this stupid thing cost 500. Xiaomi MI6 cost 400 and its 4x better faster and much more relaible.

  • how many different variations of one phone can a company make? I get they want market share, but they should achieve that through multiple price points. Not having a selfie version, a pro selfie version, a zoom and a max. Like seriously, Asus.

  • all of specifications of asus almost as the same as of models of 1 years ago with just a little changes BUT SHARP HAVE INNOVATION look at the display of AQUOS S2 1080 x 2040 pixels display with 87.5% screen-to-body ratio even more than GALAXY S8 SERIES

  • just like specifications of sharp aquos s2 but sharp have another version with sd660 sharp have better price, lower than asus & better camera

  • €500? really? at that price, huawei's phones are a STEAL.

  • Snapdragon 630 ?? ... come on Asus..

  • Still hybrid Slot, still too big screen(maximum 5,2 with the same specs would be great). Not all people wanna carry around big bricks.

  • OIS?

  • I only hope....bloatless ZenUI....in this series of zenfone

  • I think Zenfone 4 will be has low price than Zenfone 3 Zoom despite the battery. (3300mah VS 5000mah)

  • Asus is giving off some serious Samsung vibes with the new clock and wallpapers in the new ZenUI. I like it.

  • Buy S8 if you want different and shine from others

  • Lol Honor 9 design rip-off

  • it is the same thing with some minor tweak.. i am starting to hate asus.. bought zenfone 2 deluxe back then, it was a flagship phone.. in just a few months notice most of people using the same phone.. after checking out, found out that basically most of their phone is similar with one or two minor tweak.. I dont feel worth it paying so big money, then other spend less to have similar physical appearnce of phone

  • Overpriced, 40% of the phone price goes to the marketing and Gong Yoo. I am disappointed.

  • This phone is kind of pointless. The Zenfone 3 Zoom has basically the same SoC and most other specs but with bigger battery and lower price tag.

  • What, no OIS, and huge bezels again? :O

  • If that 500 € for a midrange device with only SD 630 is correct, it's a massive rip-off.

  • SD630 400$

  • The design is not reveal yer

  • Zenfone 4 outlook is almost same with asus zenfone 3....😂😂

  • maybe Asus give a high price into every midrange smartphone like flagship device price

  • Zenfone 5 is actually 2014 together with Zenfone 4 and 6. they are the first generation of Zenfones named after their screen sizes.

  • Asus Zenfone 2 was in 2015. The 1st generation of Zenfones namely the Zenfone 4, 5 and 6 are named based on their screen sizes. Zenfone 3 series are released in 2016.

  • Another really impressive phone from Asus.

  • no ip67/ip68?

  • 2014 Asus Zenfone 2, 2015 Asus Zenfone 5, 2016 Asus Zenfome 3 2017 Zenfome 4? Asus is weird sometimes
