I bought this phone used on ebay and I can't seem to connect to WiFi with it? It doesn't find any networks when I search and typing my routers details in manually doesn't seem to help. Does anyone have any solutions?

It's 2019 and I am typing this reply on a blackberry 9720 and even after 6 years, it doesn't hang or show any signs of ageing. I use this as a music player. It's battery life is amazing( even through it's only 1450 mah). All my friends think that this is from 2016 or 2017.

Well,I can not predict the future of BlackBerry,but obviously it is one of the best I used before it options only for you and others who have the same phone because every option based upon secrecy both private use and privacy as well. I really admire the function of BlackBerry and I loved it to my taste. I have had this phone a couple of times. And have a newish one. I can,t flat it. Reason people can,t B&B APPEals because the company went bust. A few years ago. But I can get google, gmail etc. Those who want every app going. I would suggest an iPhone or android. But beware of older iphones. As Apple have stopped up dates on the older models. To encourage people to buy new ones. Which is ok if you,be plenty of money. 😂

For me, this is a perfect example of a smartfone. It has the best of both worlds (touch and a physical keyboard). I don't need for a bigger screen or high resolution or those technologically advance stuffs. What I basically need is a call and text that I can rely and count on to. This is what a cellphone should be. :-)

I agree with both of you. Blackberry is business phone and needs to be used accordingly. People complain about battery drains but many of them keep all connectivity option to ON ( wifi,Bluetooth,data) for what reason God knows.these ultimately results in a quick drain of battery. Load up tons of apps coz they are free, but not knowing if they are really needed. End of the day they blame - phone is crap.

I had a problem of switching off when using camera, and continuos restart.all is solved! 1. I removed the SD card !this phone doesn't need the card for storage. 2. I 'security wipe' and restarted everything! Now its quick even when browsing net and batery lasts loger!only prob is I can't save much dowloads with no SD card.

I agree to the one who commented about the blackberry 9720 and i had the same experienced that the browser was very slow, shuts down unexpectedly. And most of the times my fone prompted me to reboot. Had 2 units for me and my husband and his was not working anymore, after it was battery empty the unit never turns on anymore. I love blackberry ever since and i should say i got some units to where i had my very first salary. I just wanted to ask maybe someone could answer my question why does these things happening? Am a fan of Blackberry's from whichever ever angle (ℓ☺ℓ) have been using them for years (all smallscreen type) 8520 \9320\now 9720 .. Have never had problems with any of my fones ? I think its the way people use them .. My grandchildren(and my children for that matter) have gone thru them like sweets .. ? Broken \charging problems \switching off problems \pin problems ?? I can never understand this ? A Smart Phone is an intricate expensive item and requires a little love, tenderness and respect ? Don't charge your fone (charger plugged into the juice and zapp your fone in on the other end ? That's a live connection point you are jamming your phone into? Always make sure you plug the charger pin into your fone first then connect the other end to the electricity and switch on .. When removing your charger pin from the fone .. Do it carefully .. Ease it out of the connection point don't just yank ? ..The switching off issue ? Have no idea why .. The 9720 does come with a "feature" its part of the functionality of the fone .. The "application resource monitor" .. Make use of the feature ..when it tells you 'your fone is low on juice .. Do u want to shut it down !! Do so ? That's what the function is there for .. Restart and away u go again :) And as far as "updates" !! Do so .. Update!! Never mind if you don't use the icon (app) it all helps to keep your fone 'ticking over correctly '.. just UPDATE the APP! It's updating for a reason ' ..to ensure your fone is always at optimum level (all updates need to be on par with each other as and when to ensure everything is working properly.. When the updates arrive something has a 'new feature' or 'fix or wotever .. And as far leaving your "fone" on the "charger all night ? Well that's not "on" .. The fone is not meant to be 'charging for hours and hours .. Well that's my blurb on "my blackberry's " thank you very much .. Wudn't change MY blackberry's for any other brand :) My experience with Blacberry's has been good.. They are solid fones and can fix themselves (as I have done on the odd occassion) just some tender love\ care\ and respect .. (But then that's as it should be for an modern item these days .. I replaced my 9320 with the 9720 and I wouldn't recommend the 9720 to anyone. The screen continually turns off. The browser is very slow and is always closing unexpectedly. Apart from the larger screen, I hate it and wish I'd saved my money and stuck with my 9320.

This thing about the 'phone switching itself off, a lot of people have commented. Mine never does it. What I think, is that you have it set, or it is set by default to automatic turn off. If this is the case, you need to go to options [the spanner icon], then select device from the list and then the top option "Auto On/Off". Uncheck this box and your phone won't switch itself of at certain times.

I have bought three of these models (9720) for my children and they had the same problem; they stopped charging and I was told the problem was the charging port. This happened within the first year of purchase in the first two phones and they were both replaced. The current happened after about fifteen months from the purchase date. I have been quoted a little above R1450 to fix this problem. Why am I getting this problem from my blackberry phones? We handle them according to the instructions on the user manual and this also includes the charging of the phones. Are these phones having this particular problem or is it the way we use them? By far the worst phone I've ever had! It was given to me by my employer but I've been deeply disappointed. Battery doesn't last as long as the manufacturer claims (especially when you send/receive emails), the screen is tiny and will give you eye sight problems soon after you start trying to read emails, internet processor is totally retarded, switches on/off at random times. Simply, a terrible phone.

This is by far the best Blackberry Ive used. For me, Blackberery has always been an aspirational product I used to see with my bosses. Later on, I could afford them myself and this was the 3rd one. Some days back, I used the Classic but had to return to this within 45 days. The plus points: Very simple to use, easy to edit documents and long e-mails; very intuitive; all media files are nicely placed under one media folder (unlike the complicated process in Classic where there are too many folders/subfolders where the files gets saved, making searching a time consuming process) whereas in this one, its all in one place by type (music, pictures, documents, videos likewise). This phone is also handy due to it's optimum screen and overall phone size (not too small to strain the eyes while viewing screen not too large to not accomodate the pocket snugly). What I also like about this phone is it's LED indicator located on the top right side of the phone which notifies with it's red colour else is is constantly blinking (if that option is selected) which is very reassuring when on silent mode. While the Classic is really great phone in terms of build quality, looks, fantabulous soft keyboard, features and functionality I believe it wasnt suitable for me at this point in time. I also think the Classic is way too expensive for all it is. That apart, the Blackberry Hub has been hyped way too much. I therefore returned the4 old faithful 9720. This phone does look and feel plasticky but packs in a punch in terms of form and functionality both. Thanks and regards................

I have 9720 for work and an iPhone 6 for personal use - absolutely no comparison the blackberry is proper rubbish. I told work I'd rather use my own phone and pay but they won't let me. The lock button doesn't work and the swipe doesn't work and my colleagues feel the same and have same issues. Avoid at all cats. Plus the silly little keyboard and minute screen - rubbish. Typed on iPhone of course.

Guys! i was using blackberry curve for about 2 years & in between it made my life hell all the tiem , just because of small small issues in the phone for e.g it switches off itself & weird errors while syn with the mail.. memory is full or blaw blaw but i did not give up & went to service station for a new phone in replacement of this.. they did it but after that my experience was more worst than my previous experience & once day my replacment phone got switched off automatically & went to dead state completely & all blackberry protect contacts went on toss , phone never retrieved back fromge its dead sta but i am still loving this phone & planning to buy new curve because it made my work easy and fast,, it basically improves your productivity in terms of reading texting, emailing,,,, i know if i buy the new model that will also give me problem but i am loyal towards company but company is not loyal towards their customers they should at least provide best phone in this amount..i can understand they sell technology and hardware together but still not giving perfect phone to their customers..

I have had this phone since release in 2013 on O2 contract, I must have got a good one because mine has never given me a problem apart from the occasional restart but all phones will do this, I only experienced the egg timer when I had a few apps open. Battery life still seems as good as it did on day one only thing that has ever bugged me about it is the back panel it has some movement in it. Sent on my 9720

Soooooo..... I've had this fone for just over a month and here's my experience thus far. Firstly, this is a Blackberry, so that alone should tell you that u shouldn't expect miracles from this fone lol. For its price u get a decent smartphone, but don't expect too much when it comes to multitasking, since I can usually only have 2-3 apps running before I get the dreaded "ticking clock" loading image. My advice is to keep the memory cleaning app on your main menu and run it atleast once a day(Options/Security/Advanced Security Settings/Memory Cleaning). I don't have any issues with camera or video so far. I download music all day so i charge my fone atleast 3 times a day, so i won't fault it there. If your fone does randomly reboot its because u charge your blackberry incorrectly and should get the battery replaced immediately.(The best way to charge the fone is to switch off the data(Networks and connections/mobile network/data services OFF). The battery will take around 2hrs to fully charge this way) And that's about my only issues so far. For its price, this fone does its job :)

Nice phone, been using it for 5 months now..and its very cool, d only problem is dat it hangs alot which is common to all other bb phones...other than that its a great phone. Its worth d price and very easy to use. Touch screen also superb. And its also very easy to carry around. I'll give it 75% overall.

Freezes when you least expect and without warning! You'll never know when you have missed important calls/smses. Low battery life-even without additional applications or playing music/videos. Switches off whenever it feels like it. I've only had it for 4 months. Not recommended! The original 8520 Curve were brilliant!

Do you think that the big cover is fixable? I went to a store to have it checked out and they told me that something is short circuiting in the phones motherboard, Which i why my phone is switching off. There is a fault with the 9720's casing, in that it's slightly too big for the battery, meaning the connection between the battery and the phone dont always touch, resulting in the phone powering off. Speak to your network about this as its covered by the warranty.

Bought this device second hand. i just cannot understand the complaints. it operates brilliantly in all respects. I have used most high end phones on the market but this one stands out. i love it. BIS at R59 (South African Rands) is also very useful and shames the high cost of data on android, windows and IOS.

I dont agree with the view of all people. The handset is good. My 9720 is doing well, The battery last for days. On browsing it last about 4 days. While on normal phone calls it last for up to 7 days without changing. On standby it last above 2 weeks. Those that posted reviews have not handle the phone and should stop posting negative comments. I purchased this phone from ebay for £80 manufacture refurbishment over 6 months ago and have not had once problem since. Don't expect to fill it up with apps and games like an iphone because it is a different type of beast. I install opera for browsing, maps application, whatsapp, bb messenger and a few card games and that is it. What more do i need on my phone? My work doesn't have bes 10 yet so i have to use this but its perfect upgrade from 8520 which i used for years. Definitely keep it charged up as when it gets nearly empty the touch screen starts acting up as need more power. I charge it every few days as don't make a lot of calls. Wifi hotspot great addition.

Rightly saying this phone is not for ultra use and it has glimitation. Within the boundary the funcation of this phone is beyond comparision. Easy in use with user friendly and if u ar a professional then more than 90 percent of ur work will be covered via this phone easily and error free. About battery min one day on extensive use it work without charging. So it depends on use.next it get charges in very short time which is good while u ar travelling outside.it has got all modern technology which can be used efficiently as compare to another phone. Stylist phone thin and comfotable. Music sound is good enough with equlizer facility. Nothing is absolete except depends on hw u use and what are ur limitation.

I must be one of the lucky few, because I have absolutely no problem with the 9720. Yes, the proccessor and memory could've been better, but other than that, it's an awesome phone. With regards to the scratching of the screen, I just bought a very decent scratch-protector and Bob's your uncle. In my opinion, due to personal experience, a very nice, user-friendly phone, with a nice keypad, to boot.

Surely one of the most bad BlackBerries, my first one just blank out after a month, Vodacom replaced it with another 9720 and within a years time Vodacom replaced it for the second time. My advice is SAVE YOUR MONEY FOR SOMETHING. BETTER!!!!!!!!

Well, my opinion is that 9720 is a bit pricey for the work it does, I enjoyed the BIS BUT otherwise its so backwards, it freezes if not it'll just restart itself over and over again... I just bought a Vodafone Smart 4 Mini for R899 at PEP STORES and dear, compared to 9720 which is now R2 499, and I must say... my Vodafone is WOW, I mean Jelly Bean, responds very well and its no regrets. Am done with Blackberry and its time to move on... no hard feelings. Molly

First off I can see the phone is made out of good quality of materials and is solid, but for the price of this phone there is a lot more they could've added like a better cpu because the current cpu is redundant in 2014 they could atleast have fitted a 1gig processor, and this 512MB of on board memory is also redundant that's why I fitted a 8gig memorycard because you can't really do much with thath 512MB and then the screen scrathes very quickly the plastic they used isn't very good on the screen, the phone freezes a lot when I'm in the Operah mini browser, and Blackberry's browser is utterly useless it takes forever to load a web page you can't download anything because the browser is so slow when you download something bigger than a megabyte it fails, and then the batter is okay but noy great, the speaker is at the bottom of the phone I must say is good quality better than the samsung galaxy s3 mini's speaker, but blackberrys program isn't that great I prefer Android if I can have get android on this phone it will be great because the games on blackberry appworld is crap and redundant but the programm has its good points too like its very easy to use and the BIS on the phone for R60 is also very good that's why I bought this phone for the BIS I will recommend getting this phone as a secondary phone for scrolling the web and doing research on google and so on because of the BIS that's cheap but not as a primary phone for a primary budget phone I will recomend you to get a Samsung Galaxy S3 mini.

The biggest problem with this version is the inability to turn off the touchscreen facility.. i'm forever making calls I don't want to, cutting people off mid conversation, going into screens I didn't want etc etc. The other aspects of the phone are fine and if they had made it with the option to turn off the touchscreen then it would be a good phone... But they didn't!! It also turns itself off for no apparent reason from time to time. Mine is phone supplied by the company I work for and several of us have these phones.. every person has the same issues bar none, so I guess it's not just me!! Ah well.. I'll see what replacement I get when I 'accidentally' drop the phone and it bounces across the road, lands in a puddle and then gets run over by a 32 tonne truck!!

Worst piece of crap, initially was so good but then it started freezing regularly and it starts calling other numbers. while you on a call it puts your call on hold. Now four months later the charging port is damaged. I have never had this problem with any other BB. I take it to Customer care and get told that the port is not under warranty. It will cost R1710 to repair. How convenient. Cant wait to change over to Samsung - only heard great reviews. What a waste of my contract. Blackberry should recall these fones cos I was told at Customer Care that this is a common issue. Too upset. Save yourself some heartache DONT get this model.

This is BB's worst phone ever. I downgraded from using the 9810 as I was not very confident of the 10 OS functioning and decided to wait for the OS to stabilize. In the interim, I bought the 9720 as it has both touch & a physical keyboard and ran the 7.1 OS; same as the 9800 series. Issues faced with this model: 1. When on a call, if I need to look up a number or other info on the phone, the screen remains dark and refuses to light up whatever one does. I had the phone replaced, but the problem still persists. 2. When on a call and I add another participant, I am not able to hear anything and need to disconnect the call and try gain. Incidentally, the called parties report being kept on hold. This happen very frequently. 3. When browsing and I open 2 or more pages, the browser hangs or shuts down automatically 4. The phone also tends to hand periodically with no apparent reason I never faced these problems with the 9800 series and I am sure not going for the Z series or devices running the 10 OS.

No way to disable touch. Crashes very often, during calls. Simply doesn't reboot. You can try removing the battery and all the gimmicks. Can't imagine someone can have a OS in 2013 which is similar to what you experience with 1998 windows 3.1. This company should simply shutdown so that this cheating stops. I am a corporate user and have been using blackberry for past 10 years and shocked with this model. what crap. hope this review helps. Don't ever think of buying ot owning this buggy os and phone.

I have the bb9720 since November 2013 and since January 2014 I have had problems!!! First my phone kept on rebooting all the time and now 4 months later I found a solution... I put a piece of paper inside because I was told the battery is too small for the phone.. my phone did not reboot anymore but now it wont charge!! what now??

Bought a 9720 as upgrade to my earlier BB. Have had issues from day one. The voice quality is average and it constantly breaks. In patches I cant hear the caller & vice-versa. Have tried using it on 2G, 2G/3G and 3G modes. Problem persists. Any suggestion to get rid of this problem or is the phone piece defective ??

This is a great phone. The hanging problem is a simple fix... buy a decent memory card for most of your problems exist with a old cheap memory card. Most of your apps save directly to the mem card like photos and videos. The mem card I currently use is a transcend 95mbps (megabytes per second)

My problems with the 9720 are its browser and camera, my pictures are desaturated (dull colors) and the camera alwayz freeze when I press the return key... As for the browser its too damn slow, it takes too long to render a simple web page and can not open more than 2 web pages even this gsmarena page that's a mobile site did not render on time...am almost regreting buying it... its so annoying

I just switched from a 9300 to this phone and it is GREAT. The BBM button, the camera with flash, touchscreen and button input is an improvement duly noted. Analogue style FM radio with digital interface is wow. Reminds me of my first gen Blackberry 7290 with its big screen and ideally spaced keys. As a media player this phone rocks with mp3 and mp4 playback. The Multicast app is a great addition along with Foursquare as the default app complimenting the 5MP camera with flash. This device fits in the already existing blackberry user market. I have a 8520 and I have used it for years, it comes free with work and free sim. My company has a BES 5. I asked my IT if they were planning on implementing a bes10 and they said no plans at the moment. This 9720 allows me use the new phone features and still use bes 5 for my work emails. I don't recommend this phone if you want to install load of apps as its more for business, where you would have just a few essential apps. I just picked up a refurbished one from ebay for £75, which makes it an even better deal.

I was so happy when I got my BB 9720. However very soon I got frustrated because it freezing when I take a picture. Then it started restarting itself a few time a day and some times just plainly switched off. Also I got irritated by the touch screen that is wonderful when you use the phone "in the house" but if you put it in your pocket it phones, bbm's, whatsapp and got o every imaginable website all by it self. And you cannot switch it off. Even if you lock the screen with a pin it still takes pictures of the inside of your pocket. I took the phone in and after a three week wait I got a new one. The touch screen still made me scream, but at least it was not restarting. This phone also freezes sometimes when I take photo's and it now decided it will not connect to a PC with a USB cable. Nothing helps so it will have to go for repairs as well. Another 3 weeks without my phone. 6 weeks out of 4 months without something I am paying for. What a piece of crap. Everyone in my house hold has a BB none of them have problems only the "newest"one. I truly hate this phone. I will rather use a Nokia 3110. At least its reliable.This is my first and most definitely my last Blackbery.

I had the BB 9300, which I feel was a great little phone, now I use the 9720 and I have absolutely nothing but praise for it. Personally I feel the camera could've been better and a secondary camera woul've been even more so, but for what I've experience, over the last few months, I can only say it's a lovely user-friendly phone, with very few problems. My gf has the 9790, which is more than double the price of the 9720, but has so many complaints an is considering changing to the (in my opinion) much better 9720. All in all, it might be a low to middle end phone, but I get nothing but high end service an satisfaction from it.

the memory for Me since i've been using it is never and issue, you can refer to an option of deleting languages you don't use to create more RAM which will improve performance of the phone (i hardly noticed this with the 8520) in the phone that will give more room for extra apps and the App monitor will remind you everytime if you have background apps still active if you doing other things on the phone and it will de-active them for you (which you can opt to not to if you want, if the phone has less than 10MB that's when it becomes slow but the app monitor notifies when it nears 30MB;) you can also delete apps you don't use which you will find in the Blackberry World under "My World Unstalled" for Me so far as I mentioned for an upgraded from 8520(used for few years) to 9720 I still notice a huge difference and the tricks RIM allows in this phone to play around with.

this is my opinion of the Blackberry 9720 which i congratulate RIM for accormodating the low and middle class people with a low budget phone: I have this phone for a week now and it treats my services with ease it's friendly to use for a low budget phone and with it's not so complicated specs. I was using Curve 8520 since October 2011 and upgrading to the 9720 4 days ago I did not experience any errors at all up to now which i did the following to make sure i have my personal items from my trusted 8520. on 9720... 1. I re-registered on blackberryID; protect and created password protection -which RIM will make you are that that your services from the other device will be discontinued. 2. opened blackberry desktop and saved data from my 8520. 3. and then choose an option to transfer data to a new phone (this will take few moments.) 4. go through the e-mails set-up passwords and your apps to run(all your mails and features how you set them up on the old phone will be there like e.g. fonts style/size and all the apps.) for Me as a low budget phone I upgraded to I find no hussle at all and the keypad oh it's like haven, though it's touch screen (it doesn't pop-up the key pad, which I don't like and it's a bonus for Me.) and you can touch your way through the web pages and move them left or right like pages even though some apps makes u touch the screen as the track-pad don't go to their taskbars. I set it up to meet my daily use under All menu: I created folders where I will move all my e-mail icons into, the apps and the phone features icons according to their catigories how i want them and all those I use alot i marked them as favorite so that i can find them under one page of favorites and then unmark the other manu panel pages -All; Frequent; Media and Downloads. Take notice of the on board memory and try to reduce the apps and the fun part is that the phone has an app for that to notice and it pops up the apps which you can move to the SD memory or the ones you can remove. So far I cannot judge it otherwise except that i am happy with it and the lightness it's not heavy i can use it with one hand friendly or with both unlike the other big phones which forces to be used with both hands or put it flat on the table or lap and start typing. Please guys don't compare this phone with other phones because i think it was designed as low budget phone to meet the level of the low and middle market class it is unique and has it's own way on how to approach it. I think it will be suitable for those who don't expect too much out of a phone but for simple things to meet their daily needs. Advise: go to the store fiddle with the demo on display and see if you will can manage that through out your daily life that's what i did and i was curious to find out what it can do more. i came on GSM and learned the specs i noticed it's a Curve 8520 x2 and I liked it becuase i just can't find myself flirting with a different brand even though i have a Samsung pocket which i like too for other reasons of cause.

Wonderful phone. Smooth and excellent operation. i initially had hanging problems but i later discovered it was caused by a corrupt memory card. i changed the memory card and it stopped hanging. camera quality is a lil poor tho.

It needs BIS on your data plan. O2 UK charge the same for this as they do any other type of data but you do need to ring them up to get it put on. The device feels good in the hand and is a joy to type on. The processor is a little slow and so when installing apps you just have to let it finish before attempting to do anything else but for a device aimed at just text/talk/email I don't think you can beat it right now.

Used this phone for a while, great keypad, responsive touch....it freezes most of the time so you might consider this...I got blackberry service and noticed that when I use bbm,facebook & twitter apps it hangs a lot. Opening back cover can be dangerous since it got clips and if u get it one clip damaged then it won't sit perfectly. Over all its good to use :)

Very impressed with the price and the functionality. Does feel a bit fragile as the back cover is not tight on the phone so a bit worried moisture might be able to get into the phone. Camera is excellent and the touch screen is handy. Nice and light. Will see how it goes as I use it as a work phone in the field a lot.

The 9720 uses BB7 operating system. You can use the BBM voice feature to make WiFi to WiFi calls but not video calls. To get the BBM video feature you would need a Handset running on the BlackBerry 10 software such as the Z30, Z10, Q10 or Q5.

Got this yesterday for N36K, so far so good. Like everyother bb it has its moments but for the price, its a good buy. I would compare this with the bold5 (9900) because of the similarity in touch and type experience. The 9720 however pales in terms of screen resolution and but its only noticeable to the trained eye. On the upside u do get a lot of noticeable battery life improvement if you're coming from the bold 9900 and also the OS 7.1 is less buggy on the 9720 than on the bold5. Finally the qwerty keypad, its great if you don't mind the clickity noise that reminds you of the curve 8520, although not quite the same. I would rate the keyboard a 6 where 9900 is a 9. Oh one last thing, everyone thinks its a Q5 at first loool

Go to 'set up icon' on your bb9720, then, activate blackberry protect and click on 'restore' option and once it opens your BBM platform of your old bb phone will pop up then click on yes. then, you will have all ur info restore to your bb9720. hope this explanation help answer yur question. lol.

BB 9720 is a good attempt by RIM to lure the mid class consumers towards Blackberry. What is positive in this phone is presence of FM radio, IPS screen with 16 millions colours, Larger battery than other OS 7.1 devices ( except 9320 and 9220 ), larger 2.8 inch Touch screen ( better than 9790, 9360, 9320 and 9220 ), spacious keypad ( better than 9790, 9360, 9320 and 9220 ), 5 mpx camera with led flash ( better than 9360, 9320 and 9220 ), a better look & form factor ( better than 9360, 9320 and 9220 ) and lastly a good price tag of USD 250 ( considered good when compared to other budget Blackberry OS 7.1 devices with respect to 9720 specifications ). Now lets talk about drawbacks which are... Its a slow device when compared to Androids, Low RAM and ROM, a very few applications on Blackberry world and lastly its expensive when compared to Androids in terms of specifications. Blackberry is loosing its fans everyday but this device may turn out to be a crowd puller. Time will tell how 9720 stands out in terms of sales.

BBM is the only thing I love about Blackberry, coz it makes it cheaper to comunicate (BB to BB users only), as well as really quick since it's over data. But then, aside from that, nothing else to love. It usually lags, it gives you a ridiculously hard time to install apps (as you need to reboot everytime), and doesn't even give you enough apps to enjoy in their BB World Store. I am soooooooo getting the new iPhone 5C/5S once it's out. With this BB, I had to buy an iPad Mini just to enjoy what everyone else has. Boo!

Dear All, 9720 is not a bad handset, if you are having trouble to reboot the handset, u can perform reset to factory settings using DOS command but u need to install lava loader known as JL_CMDER v1.9 on your system. and price is not so good i am agree with all of u. When you have an Android tablet at home, and at work you need to respond to 200 ASAP emails a day from wherever you are, Blackberry is the NUMBER ONE! The 9220 was released in Aug 2012 and is almost dirt cheap. The 9320 is the same, slightly costlier with 3G but no touch screen. Once you master the infra-red trackball, using the touchscreen will seem tedious, inaccurate and thumb hurting. I'm glad that the 9720 has touchscreen+trackball+3G+the lightweight 7.1 OS that does its business very well. For Blackberry's sake, I only hope the 9720 comes without compulsory BIS internet plans and is not as expensive as the Q5. This phone could really be one of those best sellers, all the best to Blackberry. For everything else, go buy a Gaming Spec Android tablet.

I used Blackberry phone before. I can say it is good but nowaday many people go for a mobile phone with affordable price and has some important apps like : Line, Whatsapp or Viber. It will be better if the mobile phone can use two sim cards (for asian market) and has good battery back up.

this is like updated version from previous 8520,or 9300..its like samsung and nokia phones, they have launch a lot of great phones (touchscreens)however they also released some call and text type of phone, like nokia 101,if people sees this a negativity that bb will be fadding? not really the launch of q5 and q10 was amazing...we have to understand that bam is wright apps starts here and coppied by apps that was originaly taken from the idea of bbm. this is a awareness i believe,that we should watch oout the next few phones they are going to launch.

I'm a BB fan....but I believe that they should try harder if they want to stand in front of android and others!!! Z10 and Q10 were very goode! They should try to make more phones with BB 10 OS!!! anyway....if they want to sutvive,they should try more.... We hope the best for U BB....

Of course this brand has a difficult time to survive! ~difficult and unnecessary trackpad ~uncomfortable keyboard design (comparing to samsung chat) ~small display size ~Make a 5 inch or 7 inch display! ~Make a blackberry style keyboard (who cares about extra long phone as long as typing text is superb!) ~Adopt android operating system!

Probably Curve, buttons are like the previous Curves. It's a phone with an outdated OS, but, if they price it really low... with a prepaid package or something. Otherwise it will be a hard time to sell the phone.

that's some pretty good stuff you sniff... ^_^ blackberry made a long term investment into this type of mobile device with access to better specs, tech and this is what they come up with ? I mean this as crap specs for even a keyboard phone... why don't they just make a onscreen keyboard phone... then it might look and sell better. . ^_^
