BLU Life One X2 - User Reviews

  • Yes, take it to a shop

  • Help!!!, Phone fell early one morning and the screen scattered however it was working until later it just started rebooting over and over. I tried factory reset and it doesn’t help. Had the screen replace. Any ideas on how to fix it?

  • ....did the update. easy to install. now my phone uses the battery up twice as fast. Nice job BLU.

  • After all the trials 'n tribulations of lousy BLU device updates... certainly BLU must use the most amateurish coders...I noticed that now when you access Settings there is a new entry called "BLU Privacy"...Whaddaduck BLU?...Do you think for a minute that I would allow you to monitor my device or even raise a finger to send usage statistics to a company who allowed Chinese spyware (FOTA) on my device then sent out an OTA Update that rendered my phone useless for 3 months! And latest update did the same thing necessitat a complete hard reset. When it comes to BLU phones, incompetency the order of the day! And though their prices are very competitive you get what you pay for and the operative philosophy for buying their products is certainly...Caveat Emptor! Buyer Beware! Andy

  • I am expecting for someone who can help us. my wife's Blu Life one X2 is requesting the update also but we are mot going to update until someone claims resposability, and help us.

  • Now, after the update, the system is sending a message that if I miss 8 more times, it will erase everythimg.

  • Installed update..and kaplouee..unable to unlock phone even using correct pattern! Nothing else to do but hard reset! Since Day 1 BLU updates have made my phone a POS! Awaiting update to 7.0 Nougat..which will never happen...with BLU's lousy update record maybe that's a good thing? Amazing that any company can be so inept! BLU...Bad Lousy Updates...or maybe Boldface Lying & Unscrupulous! Andy

  • Did it ask you for a password in any moment?

  • I also just got the update, however i go to boot back up and it asks for a password. Not sure what its looking for. It also say Emergency Call. Any ideas

  • Just updated, and system can't boot up.doesn't accept my locked pattern to start android software. Please Help

  • Welp, my fone just got an over the air software update! Better late than never!

  • Very happy with this device. I can even play PPSSPP without issues.

  • lol i went from a 2 yr old 5.1.1 to 6.0.1 and i don't game at all.. so I'm good.. for 160 bucks for the phone, extra a/c & car adapt.. i'm happy.. it's a lot nicer than my old one.

  • I just bought this phone the other day..hasn't arrived yet.. the 2gb/16gb model.. it's replacing my htc desire 626 ...for $134 bucks new. (btw, the htc almost 2 yrs ago was 180bucks) going from: 4core 1.1ghz to octacore 1.4 snapdragon 1.5gb ram to 2 gb ram 16 to 16+16on card 8mp/5mp to 16mp/8mp 267pixel to 431pixel i've read decent reviews on various android review boards.. read some good & bad here.. from my observation In 1 month of researching a cheap upgrade ..I've NEVER come across any cellphone in the 150-250 range that's perfect.. More good than bad..so I'm guessing I have a 60-75% chance of not having any issues and it just works.. I'll take those odds for 136bucks.

  • Congratulations on your purchase...you must be excited to know that your OS is now 2 years old ..and will not be updated by lying BLU support...they told us (October 2016) that it would get 7.0...HaHa....Fat Chance! It's a decent phone...with lousy battery life...and will never, ever get 7.0! BLU must stand for "Boldface Lying & Unscrupulous??? My 1st...and last BLU phone! PS. Thank You " Tech Amigos" website for your statement about the BLU Life One X2 "certain" to get upgrade to 7.0...guess it's not only BLU making false statements out of their rectums? Andy

  • it's depends on how you register the finger print, you can set a single tuch because it's faster.

  • I just bought this phone a week ago, I had payed for Xpresspost shipping which it rushed over to me, it came in the mail yesterday and I have had the phone for 24 hours and I am v happy with the overall build quality, cpu, and camera resolution for its price point (I paid 260 Canadian). The box it came with was a very sleek black with metallic white writing over it, and it had came with your standard charging port, data cable, and headphones (medium-low quality, compared to the apple ear pods), but what surprised me is that it had come with a screen protector, and case. I would say I am a satisfied customer. (PS Did I mention that it has two sim card slots :D )

  • I just got this phone, the finger scanner is much much better than the note 4 scanner. I used to own the note :)

  • can somebody please tell me if the finger print scanner for this device is single touch unlocking or you have to slide fingers like in galaxy note 4?

  • Battery life is 2 hours on Bluetooth enabled. Quick charge is a joke. With the amount of memory this device has it sure lags on basic commands. Always timing out. Sending back

  • I wish they would make cases with boy bands like one direction, k-pop boy bands like Exo, bts, or big bang, and/ or make cases with different anime's or anime characters from anime's. I love my life one x2 but i would expect more from them with the phone cases, I think they need more to choose from than just bold colors, abstract designs, animals, etc.

  • Returning mine to Amazon today-had three weeks and now it shows headset is always plugged in. Tried reboot, but still shows. So I cannot use the phone for receiving or making calls. No one can hear me.

  • I don't understand the the hate this phone gets. I have the 64 GB internal 4gb ram version and I absolutely love it it is fast has a really nice screen and very good cameras and for me I get on average 6 hours plus ost

  • This is a good handset, configurations compatible with the value, at least in Brazil. But it has a problem with augmented app and rally applications with google documents. It can not set the correct screen setting in dpi. If anyone is a solution, please help.

  • Its the biggest piece of junk , when bluetooth is on it drains what little life the battery has, NO Nougat come on its 2017... Half of my apps will not function correctly, embedded spyware, camera is really poor compared to other Blu phones, old school WiFi - nothing current, Security patch only on Oct 2016 ??????? Blu needs to step up the game A lot before I will ever buy another... Blu does not care about keeping phones current, they just are rebranding Gionee phones....... If you dont care about super old tech then this is the phone for you..... It can barely handle running Mr Number without the whole phone rebooting... Its not Mr Number its the phone.... I cant run skype for business or any Microsoft product without a freezeup or having to hard reboot... and Blu says its the apps but I have a Moto and a LG phone same apps no issues.... Hmmm sounds like a Blu issue.. I would NOT recommend ANY Blu product until patches and Nougat are released.....

  • I got a Life one x2 and is the best buy that i have never made, i have the 2RAM, 16 GB and it is fast, beautiful camera several and good specification.

  • I don't know much about the Galaxy but it is a rooted device so I can give you many more customizable options. I own a Blu Life X2 and the single biggest issue that I have with it is that there are certain aspects of the system settings and interface that are blocked by Blue for some reason, specifically the UI tuner which if you want a customizable Quick Settings menu where say you want to remove or restrict airplane mode so you're not accidentally turning it on mode every 15 minutes, you're not going to get it. And since the device is not rooted you're never going to be able to get around this without rooting your device and possibly breaking it. I will say though that it is lightning fast and I just dropped it on some the cement flat on the screen and it didn't break so that's kind of cool

  • thanks for the response, well I already have a note 4, but screen is shattered, im getting another one that motherboard has burn, to take some parts from it, like the screen, camera module, and speaker, only problem with note 4 is that I haven't seen yet nobody without the shutting off problem that I have when battery is at 20,30, and 40%, I had a Blu life one x before and it was amazing even at 2GB of RAM, that's why I tough its successor will be much better, do you think its a good idea to have it anyways?

  • Hellgasth definitely get the Note 4, the Note 4 has a much much better processor and will be able to run smoother as well as more demanding applications or games. Also the Note 4 has a much bigger user community which develop custom roms and can offer assistance and/or tips for any troubleshooting.

  • can some one guide me, im planning on buying this BLU model but for the same price IM getting a Galaxy Note 4 from AT&T, can you please tellme which I is best option and why??

  • this must be a new Kid in town, leave it alone Andy im pretty sure that needs some attention, give a hug to him, commenting over a subject that im 100% he/she doesn't understand, updates are needed all the time, that can be called improvements in other terms, poor people, that makes me feel that there still people that loves to keep things until they become useless due to no updates!

  • First time on GSMArena in a long time! Question: What kind of a person comments negatively/condescendingly on a post that is 3 months old? Your other comments are also... Negative! FYI....Who needs that on the forums? Andy

  • I know updates improves your device, but due to the BLU´S records on crappy updates why to do it if you know you run the risk to mess up your phone!!

  • You can fix cardboard vr by adjusting the screen size to 5.2", cpu-z reports x2 with 13" screen, if you install cardboard with "sites in vr" lets you customize the screen size from 13" to 5.2", then cardboard picks up the fixed size and image is fixed(fills screen)

  • I think the problem is not the device its you, really 40 hours with Bluetooth on with other devices?? that's a joke, 10 hours with the Bluetooth on is more than enough to proof a device has a decent battery, there is an option on the developer options in the settings, were you can choose were to have all apps in background closed, but looking at you may this will be annoying as you have to move your fingers trough the screen hahahahaha

  • Bought a blu life one x2 a couple months ago. The phone is pretty good, the camera is pretty bad tho i would not recommend this phone to somebody who likes to take pictures. I am having an issue where the bluetooth drains the battery very fast. I usually can last a good 40 hours without charging the phone but sometimes the bluetooth acts up and i can't even last 10 hours. Am I the only one with the issue? Tried contacting BLU but never got an answer. I can shut off bluetooth but it's annoying as i always have to put it back on in the car or using my wireless speaker. I also tried to shut off the location using bluetooth on the options. Ususally with my old phones i left it on and never had battery issues... I also cannot use my google cardboard with this phone. I don't know if i'm the only one but no VR is pretty annoying. Everything works but the image is wrong, only takes 1/4 of the screen space...

  • BLU's Twitter feed says that they are planning to release an upgrade to Nougat. They didn't promise any particular timeline, just "soon". Link (in Spanish)

  • The phone is one of the best mid-range devices you can get with this price, it's not so fast but also not too slow, the resolution is more than accurate for battery life, stock android give it a little push forward ,smooth performance , The farm is dropping a little with high performance games , The camera is average , solid battery with fast charge version 3,0 , i replace my galaxy s5 with it. in a hope to get nougat update soon but no confirmations, the design is also nice white nearly curved screen, i only found that bluetooth is a little slow when searching for nearby devices , also didn't find a zip manager or memo.

  • Try a hard reset... Or if I have a SD card remove that and start using maybe card has a bug... My phone is working great...

  • I've had problems with phone randomly shutting down while on a call, any ideas why? Maybe screen setting or something?

  • Will this phone get an official update to Nougat? I have seen pages saying it will in Q1 of 2017.. But I can't find a confirmation from BLU and they didn't answer my email. Anyone know? Should I just use a ROM and do it manually?

  • got mine from B&H already had the latest update on it. tried using it with a sandisk class 10 64gb sd card from my s4. the phone rebooted halfway thru the format as internal process and the card was totally corrupted. even partition wizard failed to clear out the bad tables. then i remembered that card was acting buggy in the s4 it would take forever to transfer files even connected to a usb3 chip reader. stuck in my Samsung class 10 64 gb , no issues with it or the phone. just went blowing had endomon running 3hours hours been on battery for total of 9 hours using Bluetooth music playing / pebble watch and rhythm+ HR connected bat is only down to 79% way better than my s4 or s5 Samsung so im happy nice phone

  • WhatsApp drowns battery I use a Samsung A5 and it still happens buh when I use other apps my phone lasts very long

  • Guys my blu life one x2 has arrived...totally loving the phone..really feels premium... Good camera front and back very good display Using Airtel and reliance sims in it...will try jio sim also

  • How old is your phone.. If it's new like a week old then battery will take time to settle down.. Give it one more week... I have also ordered one blu life one x2..will give my review soon..

  • This phone is douche. If I knew the phone was so energy consuming I wouldn't have bought. Just texting on WhatsApp for 3min saw my battery losing 2% charge. U can do the math as to how long it will last. And this is with my brightness on the lowest manually.

  • Have ordered one from USA... Will check when it arrives it Jio sim works... Thou i will be using Jio still in it

  • does this phone support reliance sim (jio) sim in india?

  • Ok. Thank you Andy.

  • Actually... No! Once my phone was set up and working I downloaded music files from Amazon...everything working fine...then reinserted my micro SDXC card...and phone went haywire! Out came memory card, phone still very buggy so another hard reset. Same phone setup, Amazon music download, OK!.. then transferred music files from flash drive onto internal memory...BINGO!!!...Phone went haywire...again! Hard Reset/start anew/Download Amazon music...and STOP! Can live without multimedia as long as phone is usable! Hope BLU sends out OTA Nougat upgrade...but not holding my breath on that! From Day One this fone was funky! Hardware?...Software? Who knows! Return to using my Windows Lumia 640Xl as my daily phone..not as good, but reliable! And, with a 128gb micro SDXC loaded with 58 movies and 16000 songs it's a true entertainment powerhouse! Andy

  • Yes, it has a dedicated SD card slot!

  • Andy. I know that the BLU Life One X2 is a dual sim phone. I will like to know if it has a dedicated SD Card slot. The specifications of the BLU Life One X2 on www. gsmarena.com did not state whether it has a dedicated SD Card slot or not. Thanks.

  • If you were able to complete the update or have decided not to, you should be safe using the SD card afterwards. I should add that on my vivo 5, when the update failed the device was stuck in a boot loop. I had to enter recovery mode and do a hard reset to get the phone to function again.

  • Well I'll be a Ding Dang old Jenny Cowbell! Removed my SD card, booted phone....And it's fully functional! Go Figure? Trying to decide if I should re-insert the SD card? But for now I'll just enjoy my Life One X2! Thank You for the suggestion! Andy

  • I bought mine December 22 and applied the OTA without any issue. I also bought a Blu Vivo 5 at the same time and had issues with the OTA. I read a suggestion that having an SD card inserted can sometimes cause problems with updates and so I took mine out to run the update. No problems afterwards. Perhaps this is something to consider.

  • What was the date of the update

  • That's the 64,000 dollar question! Try calling BLU Support....They're based in the Philippines! Their answer...Or rather, Lack of...Should convince you to buy from... Samsung!😅😅😅 BLU...BAD LOUSY UPDATES! In all fairness, the widely fractured Android ecosystem practically guarantees that any update proceedure could be problematic! And, from my experience, it certainly is true that BLU's update history is far from perfect....Not even close! Andy

  • I've read all these problems with having the OTA update, and I was thinking on buying the phone.Has this problem been fixed?

  • Hello Mehul. No doubt about it, the BLU Life One X2 touches all the bases in the specifications game! This was going to be my first true "super" smartphone...And I was really happy with it....Until that lousy OTA Update...From BLU...Ruined my experience! Cannot adequately express my disappointment! Hope you enjoy your new phone. Andy

  • Thanks for replying! I ordered it on amazon but it still hasn't arrived. Looks like a good phone though.

  • Hello Mehul. I bought a Life One X2 and it was a very good device...until I installed an OTA Update from BLU...After many hassles with their lousy support team and following their instructions to do a Hard Reset i was left with a phone which is now useless! My experience led me to investigate BLU's update record...My Opinion? Not a very good track record!!! It also appears that the results of these OTA updates are Hit or Miss...sometimes they work, sometimes not?? Your new phone should be running latest Android 6.?.? Build so why take a chance with an OTA Update? Another factor to consider is how easy it would be for you to return phone to manufacturer should something go wrong? In my case, I could not do so. OTA Update is your choice...not mandatory! My advice.Enjoy your phone and skip the update! Good Luck! Andy

  • Hey, I recently ordered this phone and it is on its way. Now, looking at the ota update problems, I have no idea what is going on. Can someone please explain the whole ota update problem making people's blu phones unusable? I don't know if I can avoid getting the update. Thank you

  • Get it at. Walmart.com😇

  • After speaking with BLU support.,in the Philippines...They sent me instructions on how to do a hard reset which I did but which had little effect... Basically, I couldn't use Google apps, no camera, music or video playback, no Amazon Kindle.,in short, a near useless media device! At this point, I could at least get to home screen but continued instability led me to try another hard reset...MISTAKE? Resulted in a situation where I could only get to 3rd step in setup process (wi-fi connectivity) and then could not connect with Google servers...And thus no home screen! That is where matters stand at the moment. On other social media sites there are reports that the OTA Update had no adverse effects! Guess it's Hit or Miss? I would not install the update....BLU says it's dropping the Adups updater in favor of a Google version...And at the moment I can only hope Blu issues another update or maybe an upgrade to 7.0 Nougat and that I might be able to install either and get my phone working again? Andy

  • Andy what's the latest with your life one x2? Has it started working again? I'm contemplating updating but not sure if I should given the problem with the update.

  • Why wouldn't you run an update? From the manufacturer! Other than BLU's track record! You update your apps regularly don't you! And an OTA Update released to remove pre-installed Chinese spyware to boot! It's not about the latest /greatest OS! Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't updates supposed to make your phone better? If not, what's the point of any update?

  • tellme whats the benefit on updating the phone if 6.0.1 works just fine!!! don't blame Blu blame your self for being so desperate

  • With my BLU Life One X2 becoming less and less responsive little else to do but a Hard Reset....I happily report that now the phone is totally useless! R.I.P BLU! A decent phone rendered inoperable by an update from BLU! Laughing all the way to riverbank where I am planning to cremate my phone and throw the ashes into the river Grijalva in hopes that the ashes will be carried by Gulf current to Doral Florida ,(BLU HOME Office) and plug up the toilet in the Executive Suite! BLU...Bad Lousy Updates! Andy

  • Be Careful what you wish for! I have the same phone...nice phone..until I installed recent update from BLU...Now my phone doesn't work! Good Luck!

  • Just ordered on amazon looks good free 2 day shipping! And a 2 year warrenty for 30$. Cant beat that.

  • the vivo 6 has launched but this website hasn't mentioned it, you can see the phone on blu website:

  • Drivers ? You Can Check The Drivers At the Road Just Go Get A Taxi And There You Can Have The Driver

  • I personally think the Life One X2 is much better other than that its screen size is smaller. The battery is better because of Quickcharge 3 (and actually a tinier screen is helpful for battery), the processor's much better, and there's more RAM and it's a newer phone. I don't know when the Vivo 6 will be released, sorry, but in terms of processor the Life One X2 appears to be better than that one as well. :) Hope I could help! Only thing to watch out for is malware, which may be legit or may have been a false positive. Check the amazon reviews of this phone for more information.

  • Might anybody help me to take a choice between life one x2 and Vivo 5r? which one is better? and Does anybody know when will be the launch of vivo 6?

  • Might anybody help me to take a choice between life one x2 and Vivo 5r? which one is better? and Does anybody know when will be the launch of vivo 6?

  • You can find drivers on Terminal

  • Where can we find drivers for this phone?

  • There are reports that this phone comes pre-installed with malware. Anyone who already owns this phone should do a quick scan with Malwarebytes or other software.

  • Today on Amazon. Yesterday it was unavailable.

  • I used the BLU Life One X (2016). My initial observations: + Camera focuses much faster. Have not really taken pictures with the front or back to comment on any change in quality + Fingerprinter Sensor + Quick Charge - Thicker and heavier - Horrible Launcher I really hate the launcher. You cannot remove apps from the homescreen without uninstalling them, yet there is an app drawer. But if not for quick charge I would take my old phone over this one. I will see how the battery life goes. All in all can't beat the price though.

  • It says the phone is unavailable. Do you know when it will be in stock again or where else I can buy it from?

  • frankly, snapdragon 617 and 430 are processors that belong to the midrange category. now, in a recent review of a blogger, it is said that the performance of the 430 is better than snap600 series, excluding 525 and 650, 652. As to processors brands, snapdragon processor are likely used in high end devices for they offer wonderful performance other than the rival mediatek. mediatek is known to be the processors that are cheap in cost. what i read on recent mediatek processors, helio p10 is not performance chipset, and that x20 is decreases power when heat come up. do that my comment as an opinion. As some my disagree.

  • Awasome & great phone please use it for a once and after using u will not losse such types of phone. Great phone

  • it there check again

  • hi, someone can explain me the diferences about the GPU?, i mean how i can know wich is better, about Mediatek, SnapDragon, Helio etc, and how i can know what snapdragon is better than others i mean, this phone looks great but have an snapdragon 430, Moto G4 have an SD 617, wich is better? and how i can know the diference in case i want compare with others models?

  • where else do i buy it? amazon does not offer shipping to Norway...

  • The 64gb model is there for $199. It says it will ship in 9 to 11 days. I should get my 16gb model on Tuesday.

  • What happened to the 64-gig model with 4-gigs of ram? I see it's not available on Amazon. Only the 16-gig model with 2-gigs or ram.

  • it coast 199usd

  • amazing phone
