I purchased my Blu Advance 5.01 and hate it goes on for no reason, when i tried to factory reset it goes to Optimizing don't know why would never buy one on these again I even called Bell cause could not get in was locked out they told me to call company said they don't know anything about the phone this is my opion

My blu life one is 16 mos old. Have really loved it except it doesn't receive when others do. 2 weeks ago it bricked. Friend at work told me about the developer start up trick, hold down vol & start button for 2 minutes and that worked. Today I used internet for a while longer after the low battery warning and then charged it. Checked status & it was at 54%. Wanted to use it while it was charging but it was a brick. Developer trick didn't work. Tried again for 3 minutes, no go. Then held down start for a while and it started as usual. Guess that is the 30 second trick. Thanks. Just wondering what is going to happen next.

blu life one x2 got dec 2016 works fine except---i can't log onto most public wifi it says i'm connected but want access internet. tried google/chrome/firefox/opera .. keep getting msg unsafe site and log off and try logging in again.. if i turn wifi off and data on i can access net. is there a setting to enable public wifi only settings i havent tried is [developer options] haven't tried dont want to mess up sys.

Decent phone.... Sturdy in your hands. Display is bright and crisp (LCD sadly not Amoled) Sound could be better. Screen response is quick. The quad core Cortek does the job albeit with a modified Blu Android OS. That's the only issue I have. Blu had to modify the OS so it can run smoother on the Quad core Cortek A7 with 1GB of ram? Sad when a phone manufacturer has to stoop low like that. Because of that that.... Because the rom is not based on AOSP it is not upgradable. I have a phone which is two years old and still running 4.2. Less apps are becoming accessible on the Playstore. Biggest reason why I'm replacing this with a Grand Prime.

It has to be reset using a factory program. It can be done but only by someone who has access to the Blu Images. We do it at my company once or twice a week on the 5.5Cs.

I will keep my comment short - I am just darned angry and fed up with the stupid device I have. I have a BLU Studio 5ce and, like all the others, it randomly freezes and shuts down several times daily. The "fix" I usually apply is to reboot or pull the back off, remove the battery and replace it. I am sick and tired of the blasted instrument. The only reason I haven't smashed it with a hammer already ( I have had to restrain myself from simply smashing it on the floor ..honest) is because I got it as a present from someone dear to me who meant well. BLU should shut down like their blasted phones.

I bought this phone from a dealer less than a week ago. Went into a brick and mortar STORE to buy this. It STILL does not work. Brand new, never used, still in the shrink wrap and it doesn't work. You can't get much worse than that. My Nokia brick that I bought third hand at the THRIFT STORE for $6 STILL WORKS. The only good thing I can say about it is the customer support was very helpful when I called. Other than that, this phone is pretty much useless. After FOUR HOURS at the dealer, I could finally get photos in texts. I thought this was supposed to be a "good" phone? What it does - randomly shuts down whenever it feels like it. No rhyme or reason. I went into the settings and deleted all of the "auto on/off" profiles thinking that might help. Nope. It just continues to shut off on a whim. It won't allow you to hang up the phone. You get done making a call and normally the phone will light up so you can hang up or use the keypad - not this one. You have to hope the other person hangs up because YOU won't be able to. So forget hanging up on someone in frustration. You can't. And FORGET using the keypad to put in an account number or something - the keypad won't light up when you take the phone away from your face so you just have to scream at it and hope the creepy robot on the other end is listening. So dumb. This phone can't even do the simplest tasks. If you want to turn it on or wake it up, the "brilliant minds" have designed this dumb thing so you also end up cranking up the volume as well. Or inadvertently taking a screen shot/resetting the thing when all you want to do is turn it on. The volume control and the on/off button are EXACTLY opposite each other so if you're holding the phone and touching one button, you end up touching the other. Dumb. Over-engineered. Speaking of "over-engineered", forget about taking the back cover off without a screwdriver or a crowbar. To keep the "line" of the thing, they've made it so you can't get it open to remove the batter, insert the SIM card OR the SD card. Yeah. Talk about stupid - they've made the phone so that you CAN'T insert the SD card without first REMOVING THE BATTERY. Wow. Who ever thought of that needs to be out of a job. Not cool. So if you want something that looks great and takes a great photo, this is it. If you want a PHONE that WORKS - you know, to text, talk and get email - you probably should get something else because this one doesn't do CRAP.

I've used it for a year now. US, Taiwan, Thailand. great 1st phone. I cannot find any fitness devices that work. Mine shows Bluetooth 4.2.1 as well as Android 4.2.1. It should be BLE compatible but FitBit & Jawbone wont pair ( wont get recognized/detected) at all. Will rooting and upgrading to newer Android help? Has anyone sucesfully used a fitness device on BLU Life View? Also an OTG thumb drive overcomes limited mem and I watched full len films on 20hr flights. Good batt life if you limit the brightness and dont keep OTG mem plugged in.

To others I noticed screen goes out when dark. I thought phone was dead but the adaptive display turns the screen off completly for some reason. One i switched to manual brightness I had no problems.

With in a month after purchasing a blu life view I was tethering 2 other phones. After approximately 45 mins. I went to turn off the tether and noticed the phone was extremely hot and I wouldn't respond to anything not even powering off. It stayed on for hours until it turned off or burned the battery. I'm not sure whether to buy a replacement battery or if the phone is fried. Has anyone also encountered this problem if so what's recommended other than scrapping it. Yes, my Blue Life view does the same thing (randomly powering off). Holding the volume and power button haven't been working for me, so I've been holding the buttons down for 20-30 seconds and it will power back on. I'm tired of dealing with it so I ordered me a new phone. I'm afraid that eventually the phone will not come back on period.

Hey thanks to the genius advice for reviving my dark screen Studio 7.0 ,probably universal advice for all Blu phones.Remove Sim,then press ON and VOLUME switches together.About four lines re reboot come up only on screen.Press til comes on.Replace sim.Then press ON switch.Display comes back fully normal.THANKS

Using phone one minute fine, pulled phone back out and was dead. No charging, nothing. Had phone for less than a day. Very very upset and disappointed. Had noticed earlier that the back of case near camera was warm. It probably malfunctioned. Upset beyond words.

This reply fixed my problem! I found that my screen would flicker and turn off, and wouldn't let me turn it back on. I tried taking the battery out (which isn't easy on these BLU phones) and nothing helped. During a moment when my screen was working (dimly and only for split seconds) I navigated to settings and turned off the adaptive brightness and everything was fixed! I've also had the problem of it not wanting to send SMS messages as well. I just downloaded a non-standard texting app and it worked just fine. I use Textra.

I've had the X Plus for about 2 weeks and my screen started flickering for a couple days and then one day just went black. Your post helped me get it back on. Thanks! Just to add some further help for others...if you have the "adaptive brightness" option under Display, turn it off. This is the reason that I found why my screen was malfunctioning after multiple testing with this option on and off. I'm not a tech guy so Im not 100% sure this is the solution but with my option off, I haven't had any problems.

To be honest I loved this phone. I have had it for the last 10 months. The mistake I made was not getting a good case for it and ended up cracking the screen. On the bright side, unlike the iphones, the glass does not cut my fingers and the phone works perfectly fine, except for that face that I can't get the 4G to work so my internet is kinda slow.

I have a blu studio x plus. When I 1st purchased the phone a month ago it worked fine. I am on a straight talk/ ATT service. I did the update to the Lollipop 5.0 yesterday. I have BLU Life Pure L240a 32GB phone. The screen went black and the phone wouldn't turn on or charge. I took out my SIM card, put it back in, held down the power and the volume button and it came on. Hope this helps out.

I received a Blu Life View in Dec 2013 as a gift. Brilliant colors on the huge 5.7in screen. The phone feels sturdy and firm in your hand. Just comfortable enough but not bulky. The screen response to touches were quick and smooth. The 12mp front camera takes decent photos and has a HD setting for extra crisp pics. The ability to root is simple and easy to do. The price is fantastic for a phone this size. Now for the cons The phone doesn't have a slot for expandable memory card so your stuck with the 16gb on board mem. (the OS actually takes 2gb of that). The speaker is on the rear of the phone so you would need to turn the phone over or cup your hand awkwardly to listen to music. Battery life - my Life View seemed to work great within the first year of operation. Then in October of 2014, I noticed battery life was becoming shorter. In February battery lifetime was lasting from 100% to 15% in 3 hrs. I contacted Blu and explained it was OOW (out of warranty) The rep quoted the price of $25 for battery replacement. Sent in the phone and got a replacement one back, but was never charged. Sweet!! Kudos for Blu for amazing cust service!! Or so I thought....after two months the replacement phone seems to be going thru the same battery issues. ;|

Blue devices are high maintainence phones u need to clean logs and cache regular else the performance reduces rapidly if you're not the type to do this I recommend u don't buy blu products.....my problem is my phone was charging last night and it suddenly cut off and is unresponsive ATM don't know what to do ;(

Download clean master and delete junk files for some reason the phone doesn't locate them so it doesn't calculate accurately your remaining space once u do that clean all your space would be there

I have had my blu 5.3 ii for about two years now. This is a great phone the only thing that would make it perfect is better camera pixels and battery life. Battery life most important for me. It did restart by itself when I took videos on snapchat. I've dropped it several times and it only restarts itself sometimes but the screen is still functional. The app drawer is very slow now :/ the front camera takes the pictures way too close. But in general this is one of the prettiest blu studio phone they made. Just need to fix BATTERY LIFE AND BETTER CAMERA on the other hand blu studio 5.3 I only had for two months and one drop from 3 feet or less the screen broke! Just like that and there was no screen replacement. Also the 5.3 ii is way more lighter than the 5.3 but the 5.3 had more app it came with on it and its sad I didn't get to use the apps. Mind died too, after unable to get any respond from blu customer service, i took it for repairs and no one will touch it, the general comment was it was a piece of junk, so i took it apart and started by testing the charging port, ok, i open the case and prop up the battery and took out, and it was dead and leaking. so spend about 30dollars on ebay for a replacement battery, put it in and the phone came back to life. i was surprised by that. i checked the battery and it has very picular smell. My understanding is that if the charge goes to zero, the battery either dies or shorts out. Wish you lock

Yes the phone is fantastic, but it is a piece of junk, the first flaw, no sd card slot, 2, no customer service to help,3 its made in china, 4 the battery is clued in and 5 no one seems to know much about this phone, after 6 months, mind died, and that was it. Anyone reading this please spend some money and buy a note 3 by samsung, your money will be well spend. IT IS A mini computer and a phone, galaxy note 3, not the fake from china. dont buy BLU LIFE VIEW.

I have had my phone, the blu life view, for 9 months now. I noticed when the battery gets low the phone freezes us, blacks out, and just acts crazy. Last night the battery was almost to the red line, i plugged it to charge at 3 am. At 7 a.m., phone is totally dead, will not turn on! Total darkness. I also just realized that my provider, a private retailer,was not an authorized t-mobile seller!Switched to cricket and next day, I have this problem.

I use a blu life 8, I've compared it to other phones and it passes most phones even all Samsung phones up to the s3. It works fast and the screen quality is HD/HQ. However there is some problems today all of a sudden my memory card stopped working.I use a 8gb lexar SD card,it works on other phones but not my phone :(. Also the camera doesn't take out so well during the night.a but other than that the camera is great and its 8.0 megapixels. My problem is the memory card can I get help.

I purchased the life view as a budget replacement about 2 months ago as my I9100 galaxy s2 suddenly died just short of being 2 years old. It has great battery life. At least double what I got with the s2 . Very good overall ,no noticible lags or sluggishness and has a nice big screen. The only drawbacks are the camera quality is not the best. No SD slot and my carrier has blocked out the 2nd sim slot and the kit kat upgrade that was initaly promised may be a long way off or never become avaliable. Even though it is budget phone, it feels like a significant upgrade in every aspect (other than the camera) to the samsung galaxy s2- international version

I have the blu life pro. I bought it back in march. Its now August and it just went blank. I cant charge it or power it up. Before this happened it would freeze and I had to wait for it to die which would take hours. I regret ever getting this phone. I do so much business on my phone and for now its at a halt

I had a similar issue where my phone turned off and would not turn on. The phone had gone into a deep sleep mode and required that the power button be held on for 20-30 seconds. Phone powered on is still working fine for me. Good Luck.

i use net10. to a while to get it phone and data connected. but could not receive picture messages. looked it up everywhere. the fouth month my phone went from working in the morning and by noon it stopped working, wont turn on or charge. contacted Breed and they cant do anything because its pasted 90 days. $300 down the drain. the phone was slim sleek and worked great until the fourth month.

If battery is removable, then remove it, place it back and long press the power button for 10 sec. If does not work, then put the phone for charging an the after some time like after half hr.

It seems that a lot of people experiencing sudden death of the phone. Mine too having this issue. I send for repair since mid Feb 14, will only come back only on 13 Jun 2014. feel dissappointed with the phone as well as BLU service. If anyone of you would like to get this phone, think twice.

I have this phone, I have had it for better than 3 months now. This phone does work on the Straight Talk ATT carrier sim card. When you put the sim in the phone it immediately recognizes the sim as an ATT card, you do have to go into the settings and add the APN settings ( NOT the tfdata settings). There is already a root for the phone, along with some various custom Roms. I wouldn't recommend flashing any currently as they are still in the infantile stages and could brick the phone.

This opinion system is flawed. Any one can comment on this phone. You don't need to have this phone to make a comment about this phone. I have ordered one. I need to have it in my hands before i can comment about it. I do not like having no external micro-sdcard, but 16gb internal will makeup for that and can any one comfirm the OTG is working or not.

I have the same problem, I had it slightly from the beginning but eventually it would turn on. Now it's dead completely. My boyfriend and I tested the battery with a volt reader and realize it's because the battery can't hold a charge. It's actually odd, considering I could go days without charging just a week before the screen blacked out. Anyway, customer service was great, but my warranty was void because I cracked the screen. I've had the device for a few weeks now, and I'm very happy. The 'phablet's feel in your hand is comfortable...not too thin or wide. The LCD display is bright and readable. (Although I do prefer the SuperAmoled displays of Samsung) The 12mp and 5mp cameras turn out fantastic photos. The front benzel is white and back plate is aluminium which seems like a marriage between a Samsung Note and an HTC One. It even has the grooves. Has a quad core which handles Jelly Bean 4.2.1 nicely. Two issues that i have. There's no expandable SD which means your stuck with the phablets 16GB of memory. The firmware seems to dim the screen within 5 sec no matter what the display setting which is a nuisance but overall I'm really enjoying this 'phablet' ;-)

Camera only works in strong lit area, too much noise photo captures, bad low light and night captures, laggy and incompatible with most cam improvement app. 3. He was talking about myphone it's a local brand/company of mobile/smatphones in the philippines he was talking about the myphone's iceberg agua.. it was release last july 22 and was accused to be copy/rebrand of the life view. The company said: no it's not! It just bcos' we've got the same manufacturers of blu.. but we didn't copy anything. Actually they already released their iceberg agua while the blu life view is still not available. Btw here's a link of a review of the iceberg from philippines it's a lil' bit cheaper it only cost about 180 dollars cos' it doesn't have 4g connectivity and no sd card slot..

great phone, but in terms of weight, size, and battery size and battery life, i'll rather go for the Blu Studio 5.3 S Some of the specs arent quite as good as the View but it still has a 1.2 gig quadcore processor with 1 gig RAM. Its a winner for me.
