BLU Vivo Air LTE - User Reviews

  • Just bought this phone brand new for $39, no box no accessories. The eBay seller could not get it out of a bootloop, I was able to charge it and put it in recovery mode to get it to stop. Works perfectly. Brand new, 39 bucks.

  • Cool phone. I like it, not bad.

  • Very nice phone! Lightweight slim and fast. Only bad thing is a replacement lcd costs $90 USD!!!! That's crazy for a supposedly budget device. There's always a catch nothing is straight forward these days. I refuse to pay $90, I purchased it for $50 and now they want $90 for a lcd? No thanks....lol.

  • It's been almost 2 years, since I bought this phone, and I feel it's the best phone in the world. It makes me sad that, eventually, this phone will be obsolete, and there isn't a phone this slim and specially lightweight in the market. I don't care about a thousand megapixels camera or a processor that is an overkill most of the applications but a burden for the battery, this cellphone is the most comfortable I've ever had. I hope that BLU makes a bold move as this one in the future, so I can update my phone.

  • Its been over 1.5 years since I purchased this phone and I still have nothing bad to say about it other than the camera could use a little bit of an upgrade, not horrible, but a little sensitive. It still works like a charm and battery life is still going strong. I've read a few of the bad reviews on here about the same phone and hopefully those are just personal issues cause my phones works as good as the first day I purchased it. I do baby my stuff and I have a few friends who don't, so that might be why mine has no issues. Will definitely be buying another BLU phone when this one quits, but for now still very happy with my purchase.

  • I have bought this phone I was satisfied.but it start making some minor lagging and the main problem is the battery would not charge and whole charge again, do anyone ever solve that promblem.

  • Take your phone off the charger and hold down the power button + both the volume buttons simultaneously. It usually takes me 30 seconds-1 minute. This has happened to be multiple times but this has worked every time.

  • I was initially impressed: super-slim, good screen, decent performance However, I've had this phone for a year now and there are some problems. 1) The ports are already worn out: --The headphone jack stopped working around the 9-month mark. If I twist just right I can sometimes get sound with a lot of static, but the microphone no longer works at all with the headphone jack. I had to get a bluetooth headset. --The charging port tries to eject the charging cable (starting at the 10-month mark); I have to keep the phone and charging cable wedged between two heavy objects to get it to stay plugged in to charge. The lightning charge also no longer works -- I have to wait for the normal slow charging. 2) Poor reception and audio quality: It's very slow to find networks and wifi and even in areas with full bars, everything comes in with static. Getting a bluetooth headset helped a little with hearing others, but no microphone (not the one included with the phone nor any of the bluetooth mics I've tried) helps the people on the other end hear what I'm saying clearly. 3) performance has steadily declined. Don't try to install more than 20 apps; it can't handle it. It constantly freezes to process, even when only a single app is open. 4) Camera: I knew I was opting for a low-end model here, but it can't handle low light at all and sunlight is also a challenge. Everything is grainy, even when just looking at the photos on the phone, much less on larger screens.

  • my phone wont turn on even when it is on the charger please help me

  • I bought one of these phones and when try to turn on the phone it not turning on and also when i plug the phone in the blu keep popping up

  • I bought one of these phones and when try to turn on the phone it not turning on and also when i plug the phone in the blu keep popping up

  • Yeah sorry about that. I was working on another phone while in this thread and got it mixed up . I got the Vivo Air Lte brand new on Amazon for $91 after tax. If you sign up for a Amazon Visa and are approved you receive a pretty good discount. i cancelled the card after the phone arrived. So for $91 this is one Hell of a phone. The specs do not match the S6 Edge I had but many of the features that are in the top of the line phones I do not even use. Expandable Storage and NFC would make this phone Amazing...Otherwise Great Phone

  • have you been successful at rooting yet? If you still need help let me know. Its pretty easy with this device. Just load the Kingo Root apk on your phone. 2 run the installer to install the app and then follow the on screen instructions. Don't let it confuse you at first, it will check for root first and fail and then you can try again and you will be successful. Good Luck

  • I have to agree with you 100% Everything here is spot on for high ed super phone genre save the ROM Expansion. Okay clouding a great number of things is fine but the APPS can not be... I am sure they will rethink thins in future models. The only other 3 improvements I would look fr beside memory expansion would be better forward camera, increase processor a bit and switch t a micro ver a nano sim. I too had to butcher a micro card it is ugly.

  • put off the buttons from the screen!!!!!

  • Ahem... every rooted Android device will brick if you get an ota update. Hmmmm...

  • Just HATED IT. Why did you (BLU) put the buttons inside the screen. No one likes it. What about all that unused space on the cell base. You just messed up what should be an improvement of BLU VIVO AIR. Just rather my old one. At least in my one, I have all the screen space for IMAGES, not for BUTTONS.

  • Hi spirodave. I´m interested in rooting this phone but no method found in internet seems reliable. CAn you help me? Thanks in advance

  • This phone doesnt have a SD card door . It doesnt have expandable storage. I think u mean the SIM card door and in that case there is a tiny tool that comes with it in the box and makes it simple to open it. Hell i even cut a huge sim into a nano using a scissors and was abke to make it work even though i cut it very poorly. I had to jam it in there. Any questions please ask and if there really is a SD door please tell me where because I would be stoked to put my 64GB in but I think I ma dreaming because i see no SD door

  • I had a similiar problem when the phone was charging and I chose restart it would not complete the reboot and get stuck. Easy fix though , just unplug charger and reboot. This could be fixed in an update. Word of caution, DO NOT TAKE AN Over the Air Update if you are rooted it will brick your phone. Be sure to unroot first. After rooting my phone and getting rid of the Bloatware(Aka system Apps that cant be uninstalled ) made my phone a beast. Like I said in another post besides of few of the minor things the $700 high end phones that ours dont , I like this phone as much as my Galaxy S7 and not to mention a Crapple Iphone. I got this brand new on Amazon for $85 . I just had to sign up for a Amazon Credit Card in which I cancelled right after purchase. This shows how much highend priced smart phones are overpriced. Once again root this beast and if you have questions on how to please ask cause there are multiple ways but I found one that works without any risk. Good Luck

  • Is it 100% for sure unlocked? I tried 3 different SIMS and even a family mobile SIM which I did a horrible job cutting it with a scissors to make it into a nano. 1st step for me just like any Android phone was to root it and get rid of the Bloatware. I am getting great battery life and the phone may be lacking a few extras of the $700 phone market like infared and a super high quality camera but I still like it better than my galaxy S7. Even though other high end phones have 4K screens this makes up for it by having a smaller screen that the pixels arent as spread out so you get a impressive display. I love it but please root your phone and dump the bloatware and use Greenify App and you will love this phone. Im not sure why your Sim cards are having issues but I would take it to your carrier and see if maybe the APN settings need adjustment that is not being applied automatically. Good Luck

  • mj - had the same problem. Plug into charger. Hold power button - I had to hold for at least 2 to 3 minutes. Phone finally stopped looping and turned on. Fine since then.

  • My phone as being messing up. it dose not recognize other sim cards right from the day but the phone. so pls what can be the solution for it...

  • Great phone so far... but SD card slot door open so I can finish the install.

  • Same here! Phone wont charge because it keeps turning on and off when I try to charge it. Really need a fix pls...

  • have an unresponsive screen display works but does not respond to touch help please?

  • I bought the phone I'm but having an issue. It was dead battery and now it turns on to the black and white logo and slogan and turns on to the opening screen with the different colours etc. but immediately turns off again, what can I do? Please help me

  • Da blu vivo works so fine and i jst got one of mine ..sure its sweet' it rocks man.

  • I just posted a comment, same thing with me, RIGHT out box won't turn on. Good luck, this pos is being returned. Let me know if you got a fix and I might not send back next week.

  • POS! RIGHT out of the box, won't turn on, while charging it keeps flashing on and off the blu bold like us screen. What a joke, this company will go down if they keep making crap. Quality control is still necessary, especially to beat LG SAMSUNG, IPHONE ETC,

  • Just got mine and unfortunately its stuck in boot loop. It turns on then off. Cant seem to be able to go around it. Very disappointed considering I have kept it charging for 1 hour. If anyone experiencing the same, please drop a comment if you have a fix. Thanks!

  • is any update os 6.0 for this phone?

  • Purchased this phone about a month ago because it's the thinnest/lightest in the world. So far I'm extremely impressed with it - the size is stunning, it's one of those devices that you just can't put down. Feels extremely well made and premium with the glass front and back and aluminum band around the outside, similar to an iPhone 5. It's been a long time since strangers have stopped me to look at my phone as now everyone has fairly thin phones with big screens. This one is definitely a crowd stopper. I was worried about the slower processor and lower resolutions screen but neither are an issue. The AMOLED screen is stunning with incredible blacks and rich colors, people comment on it all the time. And while it has a slower processor never once has it lagged or felt slow, everything runs as smooth as ever and mine came with 5.0.2. There is one big downside - it doesn't support AT&T 4G. You only get older 3G speeds so only have 400k (.4MB) instead of the 8-16MB I got on my previous Nexus 6. Even still it's fast enough for things like Google Maps and even streaming music but definitely no streaming video or downloading of big games. Even with that limitation I'm still in love with this thing. Finally 16GB of storage is a bit small, it would have been fantastic if it had a MicroSD slot but at this size they just couldn't I'm sure. Having a full 3.5mm headphone jack is very nice. Size: 10, Weight: 10, Screen: 8, Speed: 8, Data: 4, Build: 8, Storage: 4, Camera: 6

  • I like the Size/weight of this phone. I own BLU Vivo Air and BLU Vivo Air LTE both. Blu VIVO Air works fine. But BLU VIVO AIR LTE its a crap phone even though it has 5.02 which is latest OS than VIVO AIR Issues: After using it for 32 days Battery died on me and when I tried to boot it after charge, The screen never came up. Sent to BLU products support and they took almost a month to fix and returned the phone. Now I cant even pass the Language selection screen after restoring the backup and resetting the factory reset. I guess 200$ for 1 month usage is too expensive

  • BLU Vivo LTE I like this phone very much. So fast so cute, easy to use.. Very light weight and slimmest. Thanks

  • Like Wiko highway pure 4g

  • Blu vivo air lte like wiko highway pure 4g

  • Woow i love this phone. Thanks blu for this awesome phone 😍

  • Just got mine from Amazon played with it over the weekend. Nano SIM was a pain (had to trim the micro down). It is VERY thin and VERY light. If it had an Apple logo on it, the herd would be going bananas over this thing. Pros: thin and light pretty screen actually is very nice (movies played perfectly) the Snapdragon with 2GB is actually pretty snappy, no glitches or slowness yet battery actually has been lasting more than a day (40-50%) at the end of the day being small, the battery charges quickly Cons: speaker is weak but ok for a small phone camera is ok, not great having to explain what a BLU phone is, think I'll buy an apple sticker and put it on no SD card slot, limitied to 16GB on board but I use a OTG drive for movies anyway

  • Yes you can, sign up on Aeropost,

  • I need one but i live in Jamaica. Can i still purchase one and have it shipped to my location?

  • I have one this phone i need know if this device is update for Android 6.0 MarshMallow?

  • here you go

  • how the fu_ck can I buy it I cand find anywhere that sells it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i love this model of BLU but it have not card slot please fix this problem

  • Go to Cellular network settings and turn on Enhanced 4G LTE mode and that may solve your problem. Happened to me and I did that and problem solved.

  • I have had mine for one month - love it - all of a sudden I can not send or receive messages and all my incoming calls are unknown - sad face and I cannot fix it HELP

  • I've only had the phone 2 days, but I can honestly say its the best smart phone I've owned so far. I have always gone with a Samsung phone in the past, but very happy I switched. Very fast touch screen with no lag, and the internet surfing is super fast too. Camera is still major upgrade from all my other phones unless u have to have the latest and greatest. I think Blu has won me over for future purchases providing there are no surprises or glitches in the near future. Glad I passed on the Galaxy and waited for the Vivo Air to be released. I also switched carriers from Boost to Metro Pcs and what a world of difference there is with phone and customer service. Very happy here ;-)

  • its unbox therapy !!!!!!

  • It's not actually heavy with the battery if you watch inbox therapy's reveiw he says "it's hard to believe this has a battery in it"

  • Will it come to Europe ? I really want to buy one. :(

  • The onscreen buttons are part of the "Stock Android" Experience It doesn't take up space actually, the UI is flexible enough to know whether you need the buttons or not

  • Those specs are delicious!!! but I'm too afraid of that 5.1mm thinness, it might easily break.

  • Seriously impressed by this phone

  • It does have an upgraded camera still 8mp but now w/ sony lens.. 1 review took note sharper and better pix.

  • Lame, now it has on screen buttons. The original has capacitive below, giving you full screen.

  • considering it is a 720p screen and a 410processor i think the battery will suffice...

  • only 16GB and no external card? The system and app files will take up at least 16GB. There will be no room for pics from the great 8MP camera.

  • But the whole point of this phone is that it's very light and thin. Incredibly light and thin. So a bigger battery will make it chunkier and heavier. I own the previous version and I found it to be really great for most purposes. I was hoping that the LTE version had more RAM (it does) and a better camera (it doesn't) which for me is the only weak area. The 8MP camera could easily be 13MP and stick out a littel bit. But Blu decided not to do that. Is it as good as a Samsung Galaxy S5 or S6? Of course not. But for $199 is pretty darn good. However, I need a good camera on my phone because it's my main shooter and I have kids. With the 8MP shooter, which is also very slow, I get 1 good picture for every 4 I take (the other 3 come out blurry unless you are in perfect lighting conditions in a bright day outside)

  • 2050mah battery is fine but not great. Samsung Galaxy S6 has 5.1 inches screen with 3 GB ram has 2550mAh battery only. Considering that BLU VIVO AIr has less screen size 4.8'' screen with 2gb Ram and Snapdragon 410. SO the power consumption will not be that bad as ppl think. This will surely come for 1 full day. I liked it

  • Improve the batterie life end make it octa core i will buy

  • 2050 mAh Battery for a 2 GB RAM phone???? you got to be kidding, half day and you will need to charge it again, and again and again.
