Ericsson T39 - User Reviews

  • I need this mobile phone, can I get it right? Ericsson T39

  • Looking good in ads original how he is I don't no how much price for these pjone

  • This is the best classic handphone i ever had, so magic... too classical as it modern for its way and style also when its century,... don`t forget this phone is supporting for James Bond Movie

  • I got one of these new way back when I worked at IT at Ericsson in Lund, Sweden. Only used it for less than a month before I got a test version of the soon-to-be-released T68i (colour display!) so this one was put in storage. Found it in a drawer at home last year. Charged the battery, inserted my SIM card from my S7. Works flawlessly. Stand by-time is in crazy range compared to modern smartphones :)

  • This phone had a 17:9 aspect ratio display back in 2001 lol.

  • I just like to say my on of favorite classic phn is that & I like to get back again so can u help me some on ?🤔🤗

  • Corrections: DISPLAY Type: Grayscale (4 levels of gray) BATTERY: Li-Pol battery

  • how much did they cost brand new

  • Few years ago (about 4) I bought a T39m and a T65 online for about 25. Believed having lost the T39 until one day I found it when decided to look for some things I had inside the glove compartment of my broken car. The car had been stopped nearly 2 years outside, catching sun, rain, cold and accumulating water inside. With very little hope the T39 could still function, at least properly, took an old charged T20 battery I have in order to test the phone, and got really amazed when the blue illumination came on, played that beep sound on start and appeared on screen the "Insert SIM" message. Even better than that, the original battery also recharged and held the charge, also all functions worked just fine, and still do. This little piece of swedish engineering never ceases to amaze me!

  • can you tell me site name?

  • I bought a brand new cream color one 2 years back because i used to have the t28 and loved it. But after one week the stupid latch the holds the battery in the back broke and that was the end of it because without the latch the battery won't stay in place to power the phone. I tried but there isn't a way to fix it. If you get one be VERY careful not to break it.

  • i had this phone back in 2001 and also t28 before, love both of these phones, today im getting rid of my galaxy s2 cuz i use a tablet and got wifi everywhere i go, so i thought it be cool to have a unique phone like that today, and save on data cost, since i wont be using any )) it also came in this baby blue color, im trying to find it for sale but no luck if anybody knows where pls repky thanx

  • any know where i can buy original housing (fullset) for this phenomenal phone :D

  • i still have this phone 'till now. still works perfectly.

  • During a recent trip to the U.S., I bought a SIM card for my T39 from AT&T. It worked flawlessly in Los Angeles, but when I went to New York, it couldn't work in Manhattan. It still worked in the other boroughs and outside the Big Apple. I went to AT&T and asked an employee why it didn't work in Manhattan. She said that AT&T was eliminating service for old 2G phones, but that wasn't a problem for most people, as they'd already upgraded to smartphones. Still, she praised my T39, saying that it looked pretty good for a 12-year old model.

  • Wow $38 that's cool! May I ask for the URL of this website? Thanks :-)

  • Hello. Thats coool sir. Good signal reception even ay mountain. I just got one too, today :-)

  • Hello everyone..i just got one today. Second hand from selling-buying website but not ebay. It cost U$38. Wow i just like it,feel going back to 2000 era.i had t29s when i was in college. Never had t39m before. But i like it now. It is essential phone, npt complicated like today smartphone

  • One of the best mobile I ever used

  • I bought a used copy of this phone in May 2012. I'm a teaching assistant, and once, while accompanying my class on a field trip to a mountain, I took out my T39 to see how strong its reception was. It fluctuated between two and three bars. What I didn't expect was that a few students in the class saw my phone and remarked how old it was, given its external antenna and no-color screen. But they also thought it looked cool. I asked the students, all of whom had smartphones, how many bars their phones registered. "One or two," they answered. So my primitive 2G phone had stronger reception than their much newer smartphones.

  • One of the best phones ever! You can buy it from this website that I found, all the old legacy phones (just chose the brand and browse the models they have, all originals, new or refurbished): www.ima-shop.com

  • I can honestly say this was the best cell phone I have used in all my years of using them. It was sleek, small, simple to use, and had great reception. I really wish Sony-Ericsson would re-create this spunky little version in an modern HSPA version.

  • please tell me which seller? I want one! thanks.

  • @ghani - Check with this seller on ebay I bougth one from them, the phone and battery is fantastic and looks almost like new. Paid £45 for it.

  • the best phone ever! i got one on ebay from china, manufacturer refurbished. Nobody makes good batteries for it anymore. So I had to tear apart its battery pack, put the new LG battery with the controller inside of it. Holds 4 days now =) i hate iphones and other freaking istuff

  • If you all belive it my dad is still using the phone and is in great condition!!! And he wont replace it for a new PHONE!!!

  • Today I continue using it for work and Galaxy Note for particular use. After 11 years, batery holds 1 week. This was the phone that change all concepts. It was the first triband, the first with bluetooth, the first with GPRS, the first that sync with Outlook, the first with any phones for each contact, the fisrt with voice control, the better battery on market. It was the best mobile on history.

  • Ghani look on ebay they cost about 30 usd with shipping world wide, thats nothing for this beautiful made Classic ericsson phone, i love this phone,

  • word dude - very well said. I use this phone back in the days. Superb quality. Excellence performance and classic design. Nothing 2 complain about. I also miss this time, when a phone was a phone. This worked fine for me until it broke down back in 2007... RIP T39 and RIP Ericsson, fantastic phone making company of Sweden.

  • somebody, who still have this phone can give me an offer

  • I think thats the best phone.

  • Still using this, with bluetooth DUN for everything mobile net. Simple to use, long lasting battery as no colour or camera, robust. Quite the design classic.

  • please i need one cellphone sony ericsson T39

  • Yes i having this one from somewhere 2000 year, not remember exatly, but he is still my main phone. 5 years ago i was buy new 800i, but thise goes broken after few years nad again my t39m running, just battery replacing. T39m having one bug, sometimes he jamming, this happends not very often, but once at 0,5 year i having this problem, in display all ok, but not in network.

  • Well said and an excellent perspective, at least you gave valid reasoning as to why you prefer phones of this era like many others do, surprisingly but with such detail. I do miss this era, everything now is getting far too complicated to use when technology should be about making things easier, quite the contrary. I owned a Samsung R220 and really wanted to part ex it for either this or the Siemens SL45i which carried too premium a price. Today, I still pine for this particular rare model amongst all the IPhone and Samsung Galaxy Touch wielding youths and my current HTC Desire HD does not stand a chance against this nor my old Samsung when it comes to ease of use, power wise of course my HTC is just a millennium ahead. Back in the day you would own a T39 to stand out from the 3310 and 8210 crowd, today as I said, people like you and I want to be old skool and stand out from Iphone and Galaxy folks!

  • I think this will be a retrospective as opposed to a review. I got a t39m in early 2002, and being my first contract phone was the last handset I paid any money for. I found the phone a joy to use from the off, the menus intuitive, small enough to sit unnoticed in a pocket, the flip action is excellent. My only gripe would be that ericsson as a manufacturer lacked variety of background graphics and ringtones available for nokia, although the latter was mitigated by the ringtone creator on the phone. The real testament to this phone was its fortitude and longevity. I kept using this phone, in spite of eligibility for free upgrades, until it succumbed to the "no network" bug in mid-2005, a run of some three and a half years. In the interim it was dropped, knocked and generally abused but failed to break, and still worked pretty much as it had straight out the box - no tics and quirks. This has been true of no phone I have owned either before or since. Despite now owing a smartphone, I took a friend up on the offer of a repair on the t39. Having used it again for the first time in years, I have to say that it is still an excellent device, doing one thing very well, telecommunications. It doesn't pretend to be a limited capacity mp3 player or a mediocre digital camera as subsequent phones felt the need to. The combination of a long battery life and being tough as old boots mean that this phone is still ideal for hiking, camping trips and other environments where the shortfalls of fragile, power-hungry smartphones are are a liability.

  • my first phone..... love it,,..

  • my first phone, brought new in 2003, and still the best I have ever had. I tried recently an HK refurbished, but it was not the same finish, and finally broke in just one year.

  • The only "pcsuite" that I am aware is MyPhoneExplorer,it is free and works very well. You can grab it here:

  • Use myphoneexplorer, it works and is awesome!

  • Hi, Can somebody provide a link to the PC suite software for this phone (T39m) thanks,

  • I have got one,but I do not know how to use its functions.

  • i have one and from 2001 until now it work well,no problem, sometime it use for modem too.good.

  • Just to say its 2010, and my wife won't replace her T39 for anything newer. She does not even know about the Bluetooth, but I can use BT to backup the phone book using MyPhoneExplorer which is an excellent free program (donation solicited). I bought the phone as reconditioned from Hong Kong on Ebay and it has been a great buy. My wife took it over when the aerial on her 768 fell off. Main attractions are the battery life, retro looki and active flip.

  • Some asked for more info on mp3 player and camera. Several T39 accessories are described here:

  • I have 3 colors.I like them.

  • I just place an order to HK ebay...just have to wait.

  • Hoorayyyy!!! after searching more than 6 months, finally I got this stuff... Even this is old phone, but I like it coz battery can stand until 4 days. Not like current phone that has to many function and high battery consumption. For me this evergreen phone is a best phone ever.

  • I have a rose white edition and its so cool. i still love it much. Little good phone with a bluetooth!

  • Excited that someone brought this phone alive again. I got one from HK Ebay, the phone looks cool and works fine.

  • For those from India this cute phone is on sale on EBAY

  • An excellent phone and my very first before my big sister "borrowed" the phone and eventually destroyed it so I had to get a new one. It's 2010 the year of touchscreen phones, iphones and a windows 7 phone but all I want right now is to get my hands on one functional T39 and remember the good times when phones were phones.

  • This phone has got to be the undisputed champion of its time, and by far the best Ericsson phone so far! I have owned nearly the entire range of them, and this one is definitely the king. Same small size as the T28, Bluetooth, GPRS, browser, infrared, all frequency bands, vibrating ring, great audio and a fantastic battery time. As a former Ericsson employee, I couldn't wait forever to get an approval to purchase this one when it came out, so I forked out 4300 SEK ($600 USD) for it. I am disappointed in having sold it to an ex-girlfriend just because I replaced it for the golden T68 - foolish decision. Grant it, the T68 was real an amazing phone to have a color display, but the finishing was terrible, and the color peeled off all the time. I didn't like the joystick either. I REALLY miss my T39!

  • Hey,anybody who got buy ericsson t29 or t38 from hk ebay n how much for that? I'm from malaysia here dont have this phone anymore.. i need those phone coz look cool. But dunno how to buy things in internet from oversea bcoz nvr use b4! Anybody care to describe how to buy? Need i have bank account 2 buy things in internet? N hows the import tax ,duties n etc... Thanks

  • I am happy to read your blog and admit the webmaster has done a very good job by putting all the information content at one place. I'd like to recommend it with reference to my website

  • You can find it on Ebay

  • Yes, your sim will work from an iphone to the T39. Plus you will not have to be bothered by beta testing Apple products for their own profit. Can anyone say bluetooth connectivity ? ? ?

  • will this handle an AT&T Sim card? (would be taking it out of an iphone to put in here..) thx!

  • If you're not familiar with recovering from a potentially non-bootable system, I would recommend that you not try this.

  • Yes. You can turn long messages on/off in the settings.

  • do this phone support sms with more than 160 characters?

  • hey i was looking for this cute phone for years.i came across many second hands[used] but i wanted a new one.at last!!!i just ordered a new one at ebay-yes its new!box never opened.i just cant wait to put my hands on it.but i have to wait for another 25 days for it till it reaches me.thanks.

  • I have an Audi 2003 Cabriolet and the car phone does not work anymore, therefore, I require only 1 no. of T39m cellular phone including battery. Can someone please assist me how to purchase for the above as soonest. Looking forward to hear from you soon. Mike

  • Are those on ebay fakes??? Please confirm!!! I have one . seems ok to mee.

  • yabadabadu

  • How do you find out if it's fake or not?

  • Those ones on Ebay from HK are NOT FAKES, are the original-genuine used Ericsson motherboards, tested and refurbished with original or NON original housings, batteries are "replacement" batteries which means, that housing is original but the battery cells inside are not (but normaly good quality), so what you're gonna get is you're choice, but if you now how to read and depends on price, you will exactly now what you're gonna get in your envelope from HK.... Less money Less Music - so take a look what are you buying and do not put all the things in the same basket........lol...

  • I got one from Hong Kong and it's fine. Think the battery may not be genuine as it doesn't fit in properly; small gap on the bottom, but the phone is cool

  • Those on ebay are fakes from hong kong avoid

  • Hey, These are available on Ebay, refurbished for ~$30 delivered from Hong Kong

  • Gracias for good signal, better damn for any other phone cell

  • hehe. i use t39 to open beer bottles for 10 years. and it still full functional phone + gprs & bluetooth internet access for my notebook. with third high capacity battery (2yo) it runs for about 2 weeks between recharges

  • I have used it for some 10 years now. Only now I replaced the battery. It has survived drops to the floor, intensive professional use and still offers crisp sound and easy handling. No OS that may be infected. Once every 3 months it requires a restart. This is the best phone i've ever seen and still better than what's sold today. If you don't need or dislike dodgy functions, but primalrily use SMS and phone, just buy this one second hand and keep it forever.

  • ohhh,come on dude.what will u use it for?To receive mp3 tones,pictures?

  • Last year i wrote a comment about my sweet T39m who suddenly dyed without explication, and few months ago when i was searchin something up to my closet,i found it,and drop him down. Then i press the red button and...surprise ON.Since then i use it again, maibe with even more pleasure keep him with me as a jewerly...almost.For those who have the same problem as i do,try my method, and who knows?Aniway,if it's broken, you ain't nothing to lose.See ya!

  • This is coming from someone that seems to hate old phones, after looking at most of your comments on the board. T39 exceptionally awesome and the T28, loved the green screen with calculator.

  • good news for ericsson die-hard fans, u now can purchase online for the recond t39m handset i already bought, overall good condition.long time i waiting this fon since discontinued. ericsson do the best that time

  • I'd say better than IPhone 3G, for a start the bluetooth is probably more advanced and it just does the job better than current day computer phones, which is to perform the basic function of making a call. Now I normally don't root for older classics, but this one is flawless and makes me just miss the old days when a mobile was a mobile. The future is scary, Phones are becoming multi functional computers that will render MP3 players/Dictaphones/laptops/cameras obsolete. Probably not for another 10 years, but the tech is scary. I miss the old times!

  • greatest phone ever. my friend Nik is still using it. small, great design and functional. lovely piece of cell phone. almost as good as the iPhone 3G :-)

  • Legends die never! Ericsson. Made in Sweden

  • Today I've posted a feedback on Ericsson.com web-site with an asking to reborn production of Ericssons: t28, t39, r320, r380, r320. I wrote there about popularity these models here in Russian Federation. I think if you guys and madams leave your feedbacks on Ericsson.com as i did, may be Ericsson will produce these models again. Best, Alexey Dobrovolskiy [email protected]

  • yey my fone

  • I used this phone 5 years back. i loved it so much. Just 2 years back this model came back reconditioned. i used it until it got stolen. And a few days back i went through markets, hundreds of shops to go look for it. It vansihed from the market. i would pay good money to get this phone back, thats how good i think this phone is. Its elegent, slim, amazing reception, fast menu, no problems with the flip and UNBELievable talk time , 20 frekin hours! lucky who still has this phone i miss it

  • I'm having the same problem. Just bought a new Mondeo and it won;t link up to my car through the radio at all. Looks like it will have to be a new phone.

  • I bought this phone on the internet... worked for a while than had trouble with connecting too the network! Was to weak to pick up signal I changed the antenna {just pull it out) it works great strong signal again.

  • Hi guis...i use my T39m for few years and it was unbreakable...untill one day when i got to leave for 5 monts and when i come back...BOMB!!!The phone has died.I don't know what might happen, but i'm defenly verry sad for this. This phone was defenly the greatest phone of mine.

  • I love my T39m BUT it has a very old BlueTooth version and will not link with "modern" BlueTooth devices. Can anyone tell me how I can upgrade my bluetooth software ? Roger

  • You are sooo right!!!!

  • About the battery being as much as a new phone, that is not true on ebay, and I suggest you check it out as they are quite cheap

  • Unless my battery broke on my t39, I'd be using it still. Unfortunatly a new battery for t39 is as much as a new phone (I guess it has to do with availability)

  • Latest true phone! :) bought it in 2001. I am using sonyericsson W880 now - latest SE phone similar to oldfashioned ericsson phones. But real phones are - ericsson (t29, t28, t39 ...)

  • until now i (2008) am still using T39m. the performance is still very good.

  • how would u guys compare it to the T28. I had that for a long time and loved it. I just bought one of these online. This looks like it is .01 inch thicker. I wonder if will notice a difference. Also, not too sure about the color combo, compared to the T28.

  • the very best from ericsson

  • i am die hard fan of ericsson t39m i am using this phoone for the last 5years it is too good i must say it is a realy gREAT ART OF ERICSSON

  • the best

  • i love this phone! just take it back out from the "old stuff" box today!! charger it and it still work!! i love it again for so so much

  • i love it...the tastiest phone ever...looking for one .

  • This is one of the LEGEND phone i have use. Very stylish flip....i love it !

  • Best cell ever! Ive had plenty of cellphones and from different manufactures, but this one has been the greatest - no doubt. Excellent battery, simple to use and sharp as a knife! Has everything you really can need, and a very nice design. Never had a single problem at two years. Got it from my father and was the fourth (!) user of this swedish phone. But one day it cracked (probably from age) and I had to get a new one - fast. Couldnt find another T39, so I had to bought another cellphone... Ive had mobiles from Siemens, Nokia and SonyEricsson (a K810i today), but noone have ever manished to beat my old Ericsson!

  • offtopic: Atachable FM radio existed even for the old T10 too....

  • I was the one who posted the "crazy" thing about the all the gadjets for T39, I people you wanna proof, I can send you pictures. Those gadjets work on all Ericsson phones in that time like T28, R310, R320, T29, T20, R520 etc, exept the camera. The camera works only on T39 and R520, becouse of it's built in e-mail client. The phone doesn't has own memory for the pictures taken, so the shot is sent automatically to a desired e-mail adress... About the MP3 player, it was the first Mp3 player , atachable to a phone, with 32 mb MMC, and the titles appeared on the phone's screen... Alex, or Stefan, think or search before you post... thinking feels good, you dhould try it ;)

  • Hey, Alex,"gimmeabreak" and others. Take a look at 1800mobiles.com/ert39celac.html . There is a camera for t39, obviously it's not a Cybershot, but exists. T39 was ahead of its time and have features that even today aren't found in some cells(bluetooth for instance). At pricegrabber.com you'll find an mp3 for t39(MP3 handsfree HPM-10). Accessories, ok, but they are available and are real. Talking about real, just to mention, t39 have mp3/realtones as an option for ringtones. Guys ain't so crazy after all.

  • Please i need this phone i had one b4 but it got stolen from my mothers bag. Please can anyone help me out i love this phone and i want another one even though i have using a sony ericsson P990i and W800i i still love this phone and i want it back. mail id is [email protected] I would be expecting your favourable responce anyone who can help me

  • tehnology got into you people....how can a 2002 phone have mp3 and digital camera. back in that days a cell phone was just a cell phone. btw, i just love this phone, i'm actually buying one for 20$, maybe i'll hook up a sim card to it and use it as phone until the se w910 comes out.

  • HAHAHAH! Gimme a break, how the hell could you get camera on the t39? and MP3? You guys crack me up...

  • u can upgrade it and have MP3 for this phone ?! o.O PLEASE TELL ME HOW !!!

  • mp3???? is it a modification for t39m?? how i can ????

  • Is it really possible to have mp3 and camera functions for t39? If so , please help me with the "hows". Beforehands thanks

  • I still use my T39m,bought in 2001, I have all the gadgets for this phone, just for fun. Mp3 player, Radio handsfree, camera (!!!), QWERTY keyboard, Wired bluetooth handsfree. In this way it is the FIRST modern Multimedia phone in the world !!! Just think about it !!! :D

  • Hahaha, I can't believe it's 2007 and I just managed to get my hands on a new T39m still in it's box! I had a T28 and T39 years ago, but my T39 got broken and I couldn't get it replaced. I love these phones, they're so simple and so stylish. I'm just charging it now...

  • I've had this phone for about 4.5 years since 2001. Didn't wanna let go of it for so long, because I could not find any other phone superior to the T39. Superior battery life of 4 - 5 days, infrared port, bluetooth, excellent reception, great styling, 510 phone memories, etc. Way ahead of its time. I see some phones in 2007 still without bluetooth or infrared port. I started my phone with a thick Motorola, but it was the short 3 beeps at network connection that got me addicted to Ericsson among other things. Then I had the CF388. T39m ended the Ericsson era being the best and being years ahead of its time. I have kept all my Ericsson phones. Finally got a new phone in 2005, but couldn't stay away from Ericsson. I got the Sony Ericsson Z800i. This phone was never released in the U.S., and I'm having network issues with this phone.

  • When i got this T39 from a friend i didnt know how great was this phone. He sold it to me in Q50 quetzales (US DLS 6.50) 'cause it didnt turn on but i did it turn on just cleanin' inside it. Here in Guatemala is not a common the style of the t39m so, my friends always asked me about the nice shape of it. Ive been used my t39 for at least 3 years and I happy with it :) Excelente telefono!! (sorry by my bad english)

  • Shymmy said: "Old phone, nice one...i still like to play on it,but i have a LG U8120 now....so byby old phone." The t39 is way better than the LG u8120!! How could you possibly compare them? The LG came out in 2004 (newer than t39) BUT IT HAS NO MP3 or GOOD CAMERA!!! boooooooooo!

  • I do not say different; this mobile, although it doesnt even have polyphonic ringtones or a colourful screen or camera, I admit that it's great. You can rely on it for your calls, schedules, and it does have some entertaining games. Although today I cannot even think of buying a mobile that doesnt have a 2mpixel or more camera, this one IS ADMIRABLE! 10/10 Im going to get a k800i for Christmas with a 1giga memory slot and Im very happy about it.

  • As compared to Siemens cell phones, Ericsson handsets are less reliable in signal strength. They often lose network when you are in the basement. Once you are upstairs you will hear three short beeps, meaning that your Ericsson regained network.

  • I am a very old user of Ericsson Phones and in every era, Ericsson Phones have led the market of serious minded users. This phone is the best in its class. Though, it doesn't have the modern features like Camera, Color Screen and Polyphonic Ringtones but it offers you the best of communication it is made for. You are on a conference call, want to use divert, call waiting or even Mobile Internet, it has all which probably few of the handsets can provide. The signal strength is excellent and has a wonderful user interface. No doubt the best Ericsson Model ever made. Sony Ericsson,,, Never an impressive buyout like the legacy of Ericsson.

  • Yes, yes, yes, I shall say it too, far the best and the most relyable communication device Ive ever had and used, despite the time that have passsed since it was "pulled" out of the market. Many todays mobile phones are way down the evolution tree. Forget fancy built-in cameras, 874 different ring melodies, beautifully colored screens, space shuttle simulation games..., wake up people, these are telephones we are talking about, and those are used for... a... voice communication...?

  • The Ericsson T39m happens to be the best phone I've ever had. I've had plenty of phones whose batteries don't compare to the T39m. From it's ergonomic curves to it's unique aerial, the T39m is a good quality cellphone. It's a pity that Ericsson went the way they did; if this was the last phone that the swedish giant produced; well kudos to them. I bought mine for the grand sum of 10.00 from a well known Computer shop-I love it and would recomend anyone to get one as it outclasses some of todays phones.

  • You can buy the refurbished ones at ebay..... /magnus

  • Just bought a "new" refurbished one. Very happy with it! A great phone, Made in Sweden :-) Can really recommend it! / magnus

  • nooooooooo....why did they discontinue it !!!!! =[...i wanna get it lol

  • I agree. that is the peak of ericsson. i had one and was quite happy with it.

  • i think it looks nice and is the best phone "ericsson" made. its got bluetooth wap etc

  • how can this have 25hr talk time, this is impossible!

  • Does anyone know what's the sms capacity for T39? I know the N6510 is able to save about 150smses.

  • PD: does anybody has the Communicam MCA-10 ?? I have the original handsfree, the mobile keyboard CHA-17, the Sony Ericsson radio and the mp3 accesories everything with their original boxes!! I only need the Communicam and a headset bluetooth and complete my collection!! please mail me, Im from Peru.

  • Hi! well I still have this one, for me, is the best phone with monocrome display. It has everything what I need: bluetooth, GPRS, mobile internet, IRDA, it`s perfect for me..well at least when dont use my Sony Ericsson P910i XD

  • Old phone,nice one...i still like to play on it,but i have a LG U8120 now....so byby old phone.

  • wasap i have k750 but i still buy thos one t39 cause batery standing time are the best of all :))))

  • The user manual is available at I really like this phone a lot and I'm very glad I kept mine around now that my Motorola t720i (which i never really liked) has been killed :)

  • Hi! I need a user manual for Ericsson T39m. How do I get one?

  • The biggest shame about the T39 was how close it came to the pinnacle of design which was the T28, whilst missing the mark just widely enough to look downright ugly in comparison. Technically it was the far, far better phone of course - but it lacked the elegance of the original T series classic, and as an upgrader I was always aware that they'd crammed more in at a price. If only somebody could have combined these brains with the T28's looks, that would be the phone I still used today.

  • A great phone, used it Amsterdam, Frankfurt and Greece when travelling in Europe. WHile I'm in the USA I use a SIM from T-mobile. An excellent phone, great reception and multipe features. Phone automatically detect the Eurpoean network.

  • Wow..i really didn't knew i had such a good mobile! Still using it...but not for long...i'm gonna upgrade to a SoNy Ericsson t630 soon but i WILL NOT sell my t39 for anything! My first phone..i will keept it til' da end! :)

  • I have a T39 for an year now. I would say that this one of the best phones I have ever used. Great features and excellent design. Battery back IS a problem. Moreover, here in India is pretty difficult to get a battery (slim one). Can anyone please tell me where would I find one here? I am gonna use this cell for my lifetime.

  • I've had my T39 for several years now. I find it so easy to operate, and really like it. The blue backlight is a bit irritating - better if it was white! I also found that the battery life wasn't quite what it was made out to be. However, it's still a great little phone. I like the fact that there is a selective font size option (good for people with less than perfect eyesight). I'm ready to update to a newer phone, but nothing seems anything like the T39. Ah well - I'll just be disappointed!

  • i need user manual of t39m.pls send the pdf doc.

  • really good

  • My t39m hit the deck and the flip back mic came off. Not sure if the connector inside the phone is broken or when I replace the mic flap it is just pushing the connector inside. Trying to download the manual to see how to get the cover off but no joy. Can you send me the tech manual or exploded diagram of how to dismantle? Is the connector on the phone chassie supposed to act if it is spring loaded? Thank you for your attention. F.T.

  • Sam, Sam Stores at appears to still have some if you want to buy one.

  • i realy like this phone very much, same like other people were asking why it stop producing this great product.i think this the nicest phone ever...seriously...Ericsson should be considering in producing the model and up grade the function feature to today technologies and i tell u the true that i still looking for this phone now 4/6/2004,but too sad no more available. If u guys serious think of re-production of this phone, please let me know at my email [email protected]. i want to get 1 back. Thank you

  • Can give me a price of second pic. and new pic get the prority

  • I can't think why they stop manifacturing this phone

  • This is the best phone ever produced. It packs so much feature for a phone so old. I still will not give up my T39 for anything.

  • Best-looking phone of all time, superb features to boot! NO OTHER PHONE LOOKS AS GOOD AS THE T39!!!

  • I've been using t39 for three years and it works as the first day.still stanby 240 hrs with slim battery and its design is great. I hope it will be producted with colour screen in the same design.

  • I regret to tell you that T39m phone disappointed me by going off the network and returning for few minutes and going off again .Why? Just some two years old and couple of months.

  • I like the flip,it makes easy to pick up and answer the phone call.

  • A great phone, well engineered , very easy to use, small, light, great battery life, full of features , a perfect bussines phone.

  • i like it, good feature and performance, but that display too small and i can't find it in my city

  • hi i am from india.i want to buy a ericsson T39.but i have a confusion.that is ericsson T39 can use mp3 player.please clear my doubt. thanking you

  • I think this phone is a magic phone cos it works like a magician.I`ve not used aything like this before.

  • Does anyone have any experience with the T39mc? Good ... bad ... whatever?

  • The Ericsson T39m is by far the best mobile I have ever seen or used. I have used it for 2 years and have just recently upgraded to the Nokia 7250i. The T39m (for its time) had amazing features which even the Nokia 7250i doesn't possess (i.e. Bluetooth). The design was trully slick and I never had a problem with it. I will now pass it on to one of my siblings, and I guarantee you that it will last for much longer. The only downside of the phone is the slow (very slow) menu. And unfortunately, this is something Ericsson (now with Sony) still needs to work on. On the whole, this phone is still worth using, and is my personal favourite by far!

  • The best mobile phone I ever had. Although it is easily taken as a T28 it's doing the same job as the newer 6310 or 8910, maybe better. I think this is the last Mobile Phone ever made, as they started taking out bullshit as in the car industry (the good old Skyline or Supra .....and now those UFOs). Sad

  • just bought one, phone is on r4a008 and lasts ten days on a single charge easily.

  • it has good battery life ,light and easy to carry, easy to work with functions.

  • t39 has such a clean and simple design. i use sms alot, and i like the idea of entering your own 'words' into the dictionary. the games were pretty shit. the flip design is much better without the button. heres a tip, never put the phone in your top pocket when doing a shit... cos mine fell in when i bend over!!! haha, thats a true story!!! i swear!!! what was amazing is, it got water damage and i kept using it (after cleaning it) until the display stopped working. reception was kind bad, but still usable. now thats a tough phone!!!

  • ups, i forgot to let you guys my adress!

  • oh my god, is this for real? please, if anyone has it, contact me at once! i'm dreaming about it since 2001. i ca do around 219 euro for it!!! Please help....

  • Although T39 was introduced in 2001, but still it is no.1 in all respect.

  • Ericsson T39 is still the best hand sets. The latest models are like toys more than a mobile phone, T39 of course the best mobile phone.

  • If I could afford, I'd buy a second one just to have it as a spare :) Pitty todays phones all look like toys :( And finally, T39 without it's antenna wouldn't look as nice :)) Plus, it's quite handy to grab the phone out of a deep pocket ;) WTF is your problem u retarded moron, the antenna is just gay, ur fucked, ericson is fucked, this phone is fucked. every manufacturer but nokia is pure bullshit, fuck u all u like gay ericsons and siemens shit

  • If I could afford, I'd buy a second one just to have it as a spare :) Pitty todays phones all look like toys :( And finally, T39 without it's antenna wouldn't look as nice :)) Plus, it's quite handy to grab the phone out of a deep pocket ;)

  • This is a fantastic phone, the battery life is great, the menu system is easy to use. It also stores a large number of text messages - last count 30+ as well as caller info - ie missed calls etc. However I have found it to be plaged with problems. I have had it repaired 4 times and exchanged twice, all the phones develop reception problems after some time and keep dropping calls. Yet with these problems I wouldn't change it for any other phone !

  • I want to get one, but the price is so high, pautang naman!

  • I have again switched over to ericsson 39 after trying nokia, motorola, samsung, and sony ericsson. Ericsson T39 is still the leader in my opinion.

  • Erriccson T39 M is the best mobile phone in market right now. Please continue to give more service and adding more features in future. Please send more new model with flip to my email as I am interested to know more about erricsson.

  • its a great phone, had mine for almost a year and a half. Still working great. you can always find'em on ebay, but a bit pricey

  • It looks to be one of the top but it is very hard to find it on the market.

  • After 11 months, my original ultra slim BUS-11 battery 650mAh died!! Wonder when Ericsson will sort out their short life-span battery problem... sigh! Warranty is supposed to be 1 year but Ericsson dealer did not live up to its promise. Found out an ori. battery costing USD $50 - pretty expensive! Finally purchase a clone BUS11 fo only USD $20 - handset still able to authenticate clone battery (standby time display correctly).

  • Pure perfection!I have a T39m for about 8 months now,and i'm still in love with it!Excellent features and functionality, great design, small weight, standby 230 h with ultra slim battery(650 mAh),340 h with slim battery(850 mAh),together with T68i probably the best SonyEricsson mobile phone in the market right now!Just hope SE will produce it with colour screen, internal antenna and MMS capabillity in the future! It would be unbeatable then!

  • It's a bad cellphone

  • After 11/2 year I must say: number one as in big Danish consumer investigation! Nowadays I use camera, BT with Palm Tungsten. Almost military quality! Only wish it come back with colour screen. Never sell if made in Sweden!

  • This mobile is to bad.Don't buy erricson mobile!

  • My T39 was defective and was not replaced. Dont trut Ericsson mobiles

  • I wount trust Ericsson mobiles again. My T39 had a factory defect and nothing was done about it., after 7 months, it could not connect with network., Dont buy Ericsson mobiles

  • I wanted to know if the ERRICSON T39 had downloadable ringtones and picture messages like those in NOKIA handsets. Sir i also wanted to know about this article------->>>> Example:the t-39 was known for it`s performance but it`s made in china ,malaysia, and god knows where next(afghanistan?!)and they had to withdraw nearly all t39 models from egypt coz they had defects:(,i really dont know which brand(make)i`ll buy after my GH-688....long live the 688 model. >> Sir i wanted to know which country makes the best T39 phones. I am from India, can i select get a option to select the make of a phone. Sir i also wanted to know about the T39 m. It isn't there in gsmarena.com.

  • Still rox!! Too bad I sold it

  • I lub this phone... leyna hates it and she thinks it ugly...

  • Not sure that is this phone the best or not, but sure that this is a good one, better than my previous ones.

  • it's the best phone.

  • A swiss army knife - has all the technical features that makes a techy professional crazy. Cheaper than nokia, features to features. Its HSCSD and IR allows me to connect my Palm m505 to the Internet. I like its voice dial technology - while driving, i can make a call without event touching the phone! My voice triggers the phone to dial to any name stored in my T39! My phone survived numerous drops including once into a toilet boil! Add all that to Bluetooth, GPRS, WAP etc .. great job Ericsson.

  • great phone as far as functionality! but what's with that SMALL display?!? and that antenna half as big as the phone itself?! it's an ugly phone though its funcionality is the best!

  • Agreee! We need the successor of this best value for money phone, of course with bit faster software...

  • great phone! I've had it for about a year now, no problems!!! sony-ericsson phones sux now, all look like cheap toys, t39 is the best, has it all, sad that its slowly becoming obsolete, we need a qualified successor to this phone

  • This phone has the best SMS management features I have ever seen. For me, it's irreplaceable!!! also it's undoubtedly best value for the money.

  • I like this phone.

  • does anyone know if this phone has predictive texts like the nokia's

  • Well,i am very sad coz Ericsson is loosing it`s touch(since the bloody merge with sony) all sony ericsson phones looks, feels, and works like toys full of software defects and manufacture errors.Example:the t-39 was known for it`s performance but it`s made in china ,malaysia, and god knows where next(afghanistan?!)and they had to withdraw nearly all t39 models from egypt coz they had defects:(,i really dont know which brand(make)i`ll buy after my GH-688....long live the 688 model.

  • Perfect!!! The best cell phone I've ever dream! The model is very elegant even compared to current models of shit Nokia or SonyEricsson (which are too toyish!). Does any body know whether T39m is still produced by SonyEricsson or not???

  • huehuehueh... so cool, so gentle, so confident... this phone is too dangerous for feminin man...!!!

  • Please, could anybody tell me what is the Battery size of mAh of this phone ?? Is it 850 mAh or 1000 mAh ?? Thank you Ehab Elgawady

  • Does anyone know if we can change the color of this phone? I mean do they sell the colors in the stores?

  • so cool with a huge of feature, long life battery

  • Every other phone looks like shit compared to T39

  • A huge improvement over the T28. If you loved this phone but hated it's instability and speed then this phone is for you.

  • cool

  • Hi:)))I Have This Phone and I'm so happy:)))This Phone,T-39 is #1:)))Prophesional phone!!!The best!!!

  • I like It, I love it.

  • A true modern classic, the pinnacle of Ericsson design. Sad to say the new SonyEricsson phones are too toyish.

  • When it launch with the new GPRS and very good phone but now GPRS is so common and this phone become obselete. Everything is ok except the earpiece still have to bend before pulling out, it should have like the Nokia or Motorola which is direct jack.

  • i love it so much.....!!!

  • Hi, i was using Nokia 8210 and recently i bought Ericsson t39m, T39 is the best phone i have come accross. Very stylish, Packed with features and overcomes every other phone. Battery life is good, sound signals are very clear and all the features work. This is a phone for serious users. Small teens and gals are open for Nokia or Samsung and be happy looking at colors and tones..... Anywyas all the best to Ericsson for being a leader... keep it up

  • I have no words but "I love it"

  • it is a very good terminal , very funcional, and veri elegance,

  • Phone has some SW problems. Sometimes no one can reach you. You have to restart it. Phone restarts itself at least twice a month. Phone book's useability is still worse than Nokia series.

  • great phone! great features! great value!

  • has anyone got a simlock unlocking program for t39?? plz send it to me thx

  • Great phone. I own a mp3 player, radio and chatbord. Ericsson rules. There is no other phone with radio, mp3 and keyboard

  • Everything is great. I just wish it were more stable. If it is then it would be perfect.

  • love it

  • After purchasing a T39m to use across the world on our travels we find that the phone does not recharge in the USA. The current is there, but the phone doesn't recharge - are we missiing some essential accessory? The phone is totally useless to us as we cannot use it for the purpose it was intended! Appreciate your comment. Lesley Aabryn

  • The main reason I bought T39m is that I needed both GPRS and BlueTooth to get my iPaq PDA online. They work fine together and I can read/write my emails easily with T39 only. Works great as a phone too :)

  • come back for 5 th brand new T39.excellent

  • Is the best mobile-telephone y ever seen!!!!!!!!!It's cool!!

  • After reading lots of reviews from lots of sources on handsets, I was encouraged to buy this phone. You can find many of mags and web pages throwing their opinion on this phone out there with most of them giving a good remark. What I can say is : THRUST THEM! I own it, I know it. I must emphasize here that here is where money of the wise goes - so powerful yet comes with an affordable price.

  • Good design.

  • I truly love the T39m. I started out with the T28W and although I loved the phone, the slowness of the menu screens drove me insane! I haven't had this problem with the T39. The fonts are clear, the battery life is great (much better than T28, 200hrs standby time, 6hrs talk time). If you need a new phone (or want to replace your T28), then this is the phone for you.

  • Listen When i first saw this fone i fell in love with it straight. But u'll get bored of it next week! Really, trust me on this... u cant hear it in crawded places, still pretty expensive.. wait for official release of 6610. It's gonna be the best!

  • Shoot! There's no one to play Bluetooth Tennis against! Everyone is using stupid Nokias!

  • I would appreciate it if I can have one of your products especially Ericsson T39 for me to be among the GSM users in the world. I love the product so much that I can dare. I will appreciate it if I can have one Free from your Industry. Thanks

  • Seems as if the mc version doesnt have a t9 function. Can this be modified? I live in Australia

  • Great phone with many features, good sound quality but unfortunatly bought the mc version in China. It doesnt have the predictive text function. Good nevertheless

  • very good!!! :-)

  • T39m is excellent cellphone. Powerfull and attractive... :)

  • T39 is the most sensible phone available. Don't follow the trends..insist on features and performance, then you'll know that T39 is simply the best!

  • absolutely superb phone, but at the cost of sluggishness and deep menus. the rose white is fantastic, the form is the best. i wouldnt trade it for another phone except for perhaps a T68... nokia can keep their 6310i (thhe only nokia that can match the T39 but is HUGE)

  • I have an ericsson t39 and think it is brilliant but much different to use than a nokia which i have always had but i will be recommending to t39 to my friends ,relatives . had the phone since beginning of april and i am still finding new thing on it .

  • I wonder if someone could tell me how to see the time(hour) of missed calls older then 24h at T39 ( is it possibile ) ? .... thanks .....

  • may i know T39 got caller grouping or not?

  • Mc means it supports Chinese characters. just got my T39. it has some hiccups but overall it's a great phone! R4A 0008 upgrade

  • Thanks vtec. But I already had one. I buy it at Globe Telecom. unfortunately in a higher price. I really want to have one so I buy it the following day I posted my message here. Semicon had no stock at that time. Thanks for the info anyway... T39 is a great cellphone.

  • DANTE:the t39 is available at semicon

  • great T-39

  • I love this phone, it's so cute, small and excellent, perfect for all sorts of boys and girls who just can't stand baby-phones like Nokia. I HATE NOKIA! Ericsson rules!

  • does the T39 has two versionions M and Mc? please let me know. thanks, dave

  • I searched for this phone all over my town (Manila, Philippines), but it's not available anywhere , please help me out...... Thank You

  • Welcome. This phone is great, but i met some people, who had some problems with software an battery (stand-by is about 70 h / it should be about 300 !!!). But my piece is OK and that's the most important. Greets for all Ericsson fans.

  • After six different phones,i went for T39.one of the best phnoes in the world.no problems with the software, battery lasts a long time, packed with features.lots of people go on about nokia phones, beacuse you can send and receive pics etc.and they have bigger screens and so on.let me tell you T39 is for the serious user who demands power, style, all the latest features etc.on final note,i am very hard to plase.T39 the best phone in the world.no contest.you all should go and buy it.

  • How I turn on SMS CLIP on this phone?SMS CLIP is turned on in Inbox, but on screen: New message.Read now?- pres Yes SMS CLIP is not in function.Only in Inbox

  • Who nows how can I order call list by hour of calls? Now , my call list is ordered by name of the person who I call or who call me...

  • Hello.Me again.I want to ask if you can tell me how it is signal at T39?It is constantly? Thanks.

  • Hello.I want to buy this type of phone.I want to know if battery is like it said?300h is a very good time.If somebody can tell me it will be OK.Thanks.

  • I like the design & performance but the phone radiation is too high and make me feel very uncomfortable while using the phone. How to overcome this?

  • A great phone: GEt rid of your children-Nokia

  • dies koennt ich kriegen fuer nix

  • I just moved to the T39 after having 3 diff Nokias, and I can't be happier! It's a feature-packed, light-weight phone that functions the way it says it will. No problems at all, and I don't regret that I dumped the Nokias. When it comes to features and looks, the phone can't be beat!

  • You can get a good deal for the Ericsson T39 at www.ebay.com . That is where I bought mine.

  • True value for money. I highly recommend this phone.

  • This phone is definately the most stylish phone in the world. Fortunately, this phone has still its own look in contrast to for example all nokia's and Nokia Look-alikes. These phones have so many software errors that you should be afraid to buy them, and apparently, Nokia's are designed for mental retards and children because the core function of these phones with bad batteries is putting pictures on the display and playing melodies. Grow up please. The T39 is beautiful and has more functions than any other phone, and reception is great.

  • T39 is realy the best mobile on earth till date ..

  • i want know the price

  • hi people before my t39 ihad 8850 i gave it and take a t39 ericsson says it's standby is300h they'r fckng lyers it's maximum 231h after charging it's 231 h it's the same int29 tehe ericsson says 100h but after charging 75h maximum u can understand that ericsson is a lyer

  • Unlucky this phone the ericsson t39m has a weak radio front end, very poor performance in reception

  • hatelefon hahi tov baolam. en ma lahagid.

  • best phone ever made $ ill tell u all y: it has all features of the T68 exept the 256 color screen wich by the way is not really necessary cuz here are not many phine sthat can send mms, and the colors make the phone much slower. the t39 on the other hand has fast menu & very user friendly interface...it has blutooth!!! wich is one of the best features that a phone can have, GPRS that all new phones have IR port wich will help very much for PDA owners. it has very elegent desine......well done ericsson. there is no nokia that can compare to this phone!

  • great phone, but the GPRS and HighSpeed with IrDa sucks very very much, a bug in the software from the german programers. In rest it's good.

  • best fon on market!

  • This is a good phone compare to other older ericsson model. It is very user friendly and the standby time is quite long. More feature compare to Nokia 8250 or 8310 lor. No regrets for buying one.

  • i like it and very cute

  • got one to sell, unlocked and with latest software, anyone want to buy?.

  • I am crazy about this phone. i just love it.

  • Answer: Of course T39 is better than T29. T39 is one of the best ever. Costs more than T29, but definitly better. T68 the one and only BEST though!

  • hey gsm arena! just wanted to ask, i'm hesitating between the T29s and the T39m because a friends' got the T39m and he says its not that good... whats up? which is best? thx!

  • this phone is worth buying!!!!!! ut has all: bluetooth!!!!! GPRS! irPORT! EMS!! wap!, its not as expensive as the nokia 8310, siemens sl45, sony z7.........very useful and friendly. good menu..well done ericsson!! it has all t69 features exept the 256 color screen and the mms....

  • u can get the t39 there in $277..... shiping world-wide!

  • no.1:ericsson t68/t39 no.2:ericsson t65 no.3:siemens sl45 no.4:sony cmd mz5 no.5:sony cmd z7/J7/J70

  • the featuers of this phone are realy awesome but in reality - phone is so ugly..... a real crime

  • f***en crap phone, be real people! ask why is Nokia the market leader? I rest my case, they make handsets that perform OK

  • If you think the Ericsson thinks it can beat Nokia or Siemens, with this handset then they are really mistaken. I have used this handset for 3 weeks and then took it back to the shop for a Nokia. I must say I did also like the Siemens but they were a tad expensive for the trariff I wanted. A totally waste ot time handset. Marks out of 10 = -11..

  • great phone

  • fucking awesome phone. fuck 8310 and s45.

  • To Ka You complaining about the price of Ericsson Mp3 Player Its Only 64.99+ you get 32mb card expanable to 128mb. Go to the Carphone Warehouse Thats where they are 64.99. This is cheap mate! Hope I was of Help C U L8ER

  • Can anyone tell me if when you switch this phone on if it plays music when the intro screen plays? My T39m Don't is this normal?, plus I know that if you have the MEETING profile on the dont make a sound but even if I have Outdoors no Intro Muusic plays . Does anybodyelses T39m play intro music or not? Tell Me! Thanks Jammy

  • The phone itself is quite functional, and with very good sound quality. the buttons leave a lot to be desired though

  • I've had this phone for over a month now, and I have to admit that it is the most fully-featured phone on the market (with the exeption of the 256 color display of the T68). The flip is awsome even though I prefer the T28 style flip. Best value for money phone, by far. Outclasses any Nokias!!!

  • I am intrested in purchaseing a T39 , I'd apreciate it if anyone contacted me about selling one. My E-Mail Adress is Here.....

  • I am intrested in purchaseing a T39 , I'd apreciate it if anyone contacted me about selling one. My E-Mail Adress is Here

  • WARNING i found 1 which its vibrator was not working and the other one one had problems with network, both made in Malezy.

  • Lovely phone.

  • No mather what u'll say, Ladies and Gentlemen, Ericsson has kicked the bucket and it doesn't seem to be rejuvinating... OK, the new phones look cool, but how can I trust this brand anymore when all other models had/have...little to say bugs?! Too bad, Ericsson used to be reliable...

  • Hi, I would like to know more about Ericsson T39, How much does it cost? How can I order one,and tell me the price and avalibility of the bluetooth haedphone (hands free)? Please advise.I`m from Yugoslavia Thanks SALE

  • just a great phone .. outstanding performance in radio and battery .. bye bye nokia !

  • Just bought this phone for US250+-, Still has the excellent Ericsson functions & easy navigation but with much fater manual. Cons, to similiar to T28 or T29, T29 more value for money.

  • i love this phone. Can anyone tell me where to get the software that comes with the phone. The one listed on the Ericsson site is an upgrade to the original. My phone didn't come with the cd.

  • I would love to give you my opinion on the T39, but unfortunately I am with BTcelnet, and they don't have any, nor do they know if they will be having them.

  • yes this is rally good phone but i didnt see it in the markets yet !!!

  • STooooop thinking of this phone if you had seen it in real you'll not say its a great phone because in reality its a very bad looking phone and bluetouth doesn't serve to anything look at ericsson t65 ! at ericsson .com this phone is phantastic !

  • very great phone

  • Hello, I own t39 for 3 weeks. I made several tests with gprs(also with connected computer) Results of my tests+how to setup GPRS are on my web site Regards Spacer

  • Hello there; - I would like to know that Ericsson T39, How much does it cost? Is it a world phone? Does it has a SIM card? How can i order one, if i would like to have it? Please advise. Thanks TH

  • Nice phone. I've had it for a week now, and it performs pretty much as advertised. Using the Ericsson serial cable (35USD extra), I have it happily synchronizing with Outlook. Questions for anybody else here who has one of these things: - Have you been able to use the "Text Filter" on your Contacts? I have too many contacts in Outlook to fit into the T39, so I tried creating a new category, adding the contacts I cared about into it, and then using that as a filter. It didn't work. Rather than sending across all my contacts, it sent a subset, but many of the contacts sent were not the ones I wanted, and many of the contacts I wanted weren't there. I ended up using the "Record Sync", where you have to put a check next to each contact you care about. Anybody else have this problem? - I borrowed an Ericsson Bluetooth USB development board and hooked it up to my PC. However, I can't find drivers to make the thing work. Also, my phone can't "discover" it. And, I've poured over the manuals, but I don't see anywhere to tell the PC sync software to use Bluetooth instead of a COM port. Am I missing something? Anybody else get Bluetooth to work for Outlook sync? - Finally, is anybody here using Voicestream in the U.S. and been able to get the WAP functionality working? What do I have to do? Thanks!

  • But sony has to do no more phones itself and so it's in the same line with nokia and ericsson because it's ericsson or ericsson is sony, however.. =)

  • I recently traded in my Sony CMD-J5 for a T39. Why? Sony never delivered on the PC sync side of their product and I was tired of waiting. The T39 comes with comprehensive software for syncing with Outlook meaning that maintaining your phone list is a doddle. In addition you can set up all the main functions via your PC if you have an infrared port (although you'll need to buy an optional data cable if you don't have one). To me phone/PC integration is a must - I particulary like the fact that I can transfer appointments and tasks into the T39. I'n beginning to wonder if I actually need my palm pilot anymore. The phone itself is a superb handset and I am addicted to the voice control. SONY - wake up - you make a bit hoohaa about your phone's internet capabilities but if you really want to be in the same league as Nokia and Ericsson then do something about your software delivery or keep to making Walkmans. If you want a professional communications tool in a neat and nicely made package then you could do worse than the T39.

  • As a power user who has tried almost every phone you can imagine and was a Nokia loyal, I can honestly say this phone can't be faulted. The battery life is outstanding, the features including Tri-band, simply cannot be beaten anywhere else. If you need, wap, tri-band , great battery life you simply will not find anything to beat it. Come on Nokia, I tri-band is what you need to compete otherwise you're dead and buried.

  • the product is the good one but i want to know the price

  • What a nice phone! It has all the features I want in a phone and a lot more. Only negative point is that my T39m won't communicate with my palm V where my T28s worked perfectly. The dutch helpdesk gave me the answer that the don't support the modem in the phone ?!?!?? So if you don't need the modem it's a must have killer app!!

  • Very mature comment.. Could you explain some more of you opinion and give some reasons for that?

  • it suxs!!

  • Where can I get one of these phones? I'm in the USA. Thanks!

  • well that makes the bluetooth-handsfree a bit useless, eh? ( dang!) So the phone is always "listening" for the magic word? you don't press the button on the cord?(the one to pick up the phone)

  • Quinn, when you using the handsfree....you can set up a magic word.....which would activate your voice command without the need to press any button at all......which is real cool......but only works for the handsfree....not bluetooth handsfree !!!!

  • not accepted as safe by barclaycard

  • Does the voicedial/voicecommand work with a hands free headset (like the cordless one) or do you still have to press a button on the phone it self to activate the command function (i.e. is it still worthless)?

  • Let's try again.. (arrow right) phone book (yes) add contact (yes) home/work... (yes)(arrow left) unsaved nos. Then add names etc. and save

  • [-] Phone book [yes] Add contact [yes] home/work/mobile/fax/other [yes][

  • How do u copy no. from incoming calls on this phone?

  • PPl say Ericsson emits high radiation...Izzit true? If not, then y say Ericsson n not others?

  • what is the best colour out of three the dark blue ? the white ? or the yellow one ?

  • So far 1 of the best small phone around with everything, like GPRS, bluetooth, IR and small size. Highly recommended for those who want features and sametime small size and light.

  • beautiful phone, just right for me, but no-one at BT can help me set it up for gprs, can someone please help.

  • 1 of ericssons best! along with t68!

  • can anyone tell me if the only colr of t39's antenna is grey or is there a black one as shone on www.ericsson.com ? and also is the rose white colr is the yellowish one ? thank you very much for your reply .

  • I've got the Rose White one, the IceCap blue is just plain ugly, and the classic blue is booring :P

  • Would all T39 users vote on their opinion for the best colour of T39 out of 3???? I like rose white the most !!!!

  • good

  • COOL

  • If it will be like the older Ericsson GSM phones you should rather consider another brand. Greets, Speedo

  • this is good mobilbe

  • 2)It is available in Romania ??? What service provider ????? Mobilrom ??? Mobifon ??? Cosmorom ???

  • The most beautifull phone.......! 1)But........about the price....how mutch. ....if it's posibile ???

  • T39 owners - What have you done with its bluetooth capabilites? Can it talk to another T39? or to a desktop PC?

  • Micke, so what's the phone's talk time and standby when its fully charged??? Also can i put T39 on my T28 belt hostler because T39 is 3mm thicker???? Thanks for your reply ....

  • I've got one, Best Phone i've ever owned, beats all the nokias by far =)

  • Of course, its the best GPRS phone over there, surely beats any nokia easily !!!!

  • I'm wondering if any that got T39? can tell me if it's a good phone. Better than Nokia 3310?? Please mail me !!

  • Arska, so what's the phone's standby and talk time when its fully charged????

  • Jay - Yes, it's the T39 that's that much more fuel efficient.

  • its ok

  • hmmm...i think its perfect!!!

  • So can i put my T28 ultra slim battery on T39???? Then would the talk time and standby time more than on T28????

  • So what's the total talk time and standby time when the battery is fully charged????? Did anyone buy the special edition with the bluetooth headset???? How's the quality of the bluetooth headset with T39???? Any cool background picture for download???

  • Is this phone available yet? i thought it was to be released end juli.... Where did you buy it if it is out?

  • Vibra is a bit too shy! Could be more powerful. Reading sms is fast enough but writing is still a little slow. Sound quality is at least at same level as in T28. Could be even better. Is ring tone loud enough depends on your demands. For me it's ok. Never had to use more than 4/6 level.

  • Arska, so is the vibra alert strong enough?? Also , how's the sound quality compare to T28???? And is the ring tone loud enough???? Also, is reading sms faster than T28?????Thanks for your answer because I really interested in buying T39 !!!!!

  • Phone has same system to show remaining times like t28. Best colour is white rose ;) Tennis is too hard. Has Bjrn Borg done it? Epix is very nice and interesting game.

  • Anyone have the T39 in the UK yet.

  • So does the phone shows the remaining talk time and standby time like t28??? Also which colour is the best out of 3?????And what games is included, is it fun????

  • I live in Norway, and I just got this phone. Works great. GPRS works fine with wap and email, the contact schemes are great(511 contacts, not 1000). Bluetooth I haven't tried yet, but the 2bit(4 greys) display is gorgeous, and it has a fantastic fading light function(fades on and off). Nice to have EMS too, plus T9(although T9 is a little slow). Phone is a lot faster than R320/T28.

  • I speak about 30min send 10 sms and I'm 8 hours per day in very weak signal area and my phone lasts 3,5 day after two charges. I think in those circumstanses stand by time could be even better after couple of more charging.

  • So is the battery stand by time and talk time as much as 300 hours standby and 11 hours talk time???? How about the sound quality and does the ringtone loud enough?

  • I wouldn't advise purchasing from mphones.co.uk I had a hell of a time with them when purchasing a T20. Aftr much deliberation and countless phone calls I eventually did get the phone but almost three weeks late. Try a US site in august for more reliability until more brit sites offer this marvellous phone!!

  • is this available in USA? what service provider?

  • the button response time is faster. it is based on the same firmware as t20 wich is much faster. just about everything is impressive about this phone, including the low pricing!

  • Micke, so how's the feature??? is the button response time faster than T28 and reading sms faster???? Also how many contact lists can you save and how many voice command??? Can u tell me how much better is T39 than T28????Thanks very much !!!!

  • Australia: Telstra advises that the T39 is due for release around late September

  • Writing sms is VERY slow just like in t28.. =( And I can't see senders name in new message. Only in message list! Hope these are fixed in next software version!

  • I bought mine for about $320 Dollars. The Phone is Amazing =)

  • How much is the phone in terms of USD??? How's the functions and features?

  • Yep!I got it too!

  • Artsi. This phone has arrived to Finland!!! I bought my phone today (05.07)

  • Iv'e just got mine (a bit late). i'll get back to you as soon as i've tried it out.

  • Never hurry caff! Ericsson has delayed deliveries in Finland at least tomorrow maybe next week!

  • Anyone been using this phone???? please tell me how 's the performance and functions ....

  • Yeah..I like the rose white T39 too....i think its the best colour out of 3.....please tell me the performance of the phone once u got it....By the way, i am using T28 and found that its a bit slow in response like loading sms or button response time......i hope that T39 would improve a lot....can u tell me about the response time of T39 please !!! Thanks a lot.......I am trutly an ericsson fans....go Sweden !!!!!

  • I forgot, the size, weight, and batterytimes for the T39 can be found here: Dimensions: 96 x 50 x 18 mm Weight: 86 grams

  • I on't think the battery will be the same, colo displays draws a bit more power, also the T68 seems smaller. I've ordered the "Rose White" phone, i like light colored phones, had a beige T28 a while back.

  • Micke, do u know is T68 use the same battery as T39??? I really wanna know ...thank you !!!! Also, which colour of T39 do u think is better??

  • Yeah , i tried it ..it's great and the phone is 96*50*18 and 86 grams ...not the one on the details of this site !!!

  • Not many news about the T68, just that it is supposed to be released in the end of the year. ericsson has goten the real presentation of the T39 up, at: you can even try the phone there (FLASH).

  • Micke, can u tell me more about ericsson T68, i really wanna buy it.......any news about it in Sweden????

  • I'll probably get in the beginning of next week, i'll mesure it then, mail me and remind me ;). i Think the reason for the thickness is the Antenna socket, there are some pictures of it here: and here:

  • Micke, can u tell me the size and weight of the phone?? Cos i think its not 24 mm thick and 88 g from the look !!!!! Please tell me if u know...Thanks !!

  • It's out here i Sweden, i've ordered myself one, will get back to tell you about it when iv'e tried it =).

  • t39 available at www.mphone.co.uk

  • Im sorry but I have to say that although nokia are bigger that doesnt mean that they are better then ericsson. The 8310 looks like a piece of shit to me. I will be getting either the T39 or T68, because they are so much more advanced, better looking and better performing than all your nokia crap. The only reason that Nokia are biggest is because they overmarket their products, and they cut corners in assembly and production of their phones. Now that ericsson and sony have teamed up they will be number one, just look what theyve come up with. SOny have style and efficiancy, ericsson have style and technology, perfect partners if you ask me. At ceBit 2001 ericsson won the show, new designs, new technology, all nokia had was the 8210 with a new name and a different plastic front on it (oh and snake 2). ERICSSON 4 EVER!

  • I think its a great phone...with bluetooth, GPRS, calendar, contacts, voice memo.........what a great functional phone....also i think the phone is not 24 mm thick....its under 20mm in thickness !!!!! I think the info is a bit wrong !!!

  • can anyone let me know the price in pounds and when it will be released in England

  • salut, je suive toujours les nouvelles d'ericcson, mais le t39 j'ai la aim beacoup, vraiment ce tres qualifier. salutations RIADH

  • hello ericsson are you there.we are waiting for T39.....

  • as far as i've heard it's supposed to arrive in week 26, that's in 2 weeks. can't hardly wait. =) but hey, who knows, it may be delayed.

  • nice phone cant wait for GA

  • Top dollar paid for this product. E-mail me with any info.

  • I have a T28 world and I absolutely love the small size and long batt life. I have been anxiously awaiting bluetooth phones. The T39 sounds too good to be true - WAP, Bluetooth, even a modem! I am very excited to buy one if i only knew where to get a GSM1900 (USA) model.

  • Ericsson Finland has advised that the T39 will be available as of July 2001. Ericsson North America has no idea when their release date will be.

  • but it is 24mm thick... o my god! t28 is only 15... even 3310 is thinner.... (is it the batt that cause it to be fat

  • I just would like to know what the price of this phone is...

  • Can any tell me when is this phone launched? Can it be used with the blue tooth ear piece? Will you need a separate attachment for the blue tooth ear piece. Thanks

  • Fuckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk nokia!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Ericsson will stay the best manufacturer in the mobile market!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!T39 is perfect!!!!!!!!!!the only broblem is that i live in Greece and it will come in 3 weeks!!!!!!if anyone could tell me an aproximate price for this ecxelllllllllllllllent phone????????please????!!!!!!

  • Love my T29 apart from a few unreliabilty problems if the T39 is ultra-reliable it will be a winner. Looking forward to getting one. I guess the question is when.

  • Hello I want buying one item Ericsson T39 can you reply to my email

  • ------------------------------ Wasn't me the one that wrote the previous comment. Some guy just loves my name.. :))I guess he is pissed of because he read my comparison between Ericsson T68 and Nokia 8310 ------------------------------ I myself thik that is one is good , but the T28 looks a little better. And by the way - he is also wrote some messages from another nick that ain't his own - "akmis".

  • Why the antenna so big? Ericsson sure out of ideas. Get Nokia.

  • This is one perfect phone!!!!From this year I think Ericsson is the best on MARKET!!

  • hi again its wicked that ericsson are releasing this phone just look at it, its perfect(well the screen cud b bigger)its out in the second quarter that means any time now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Whatever people say aaa, big chunky Nokia is my taste. Veliiii good oooo.

  • i love that phone.i live in estonia and i love you all.kuradi pederastid.

  • orunuk on pederast

  • can i know is it available now? can i purchase it online? thnaks

  • okay, I have been waiting long enough: since November for the cancelled T36, now I need to wait longer for this one. well, its still far better than no t39 though :)

  • Ericsson has outdone itself this time! But they should put in that button flip thingy.

  • It looks very intelligent also it has a flip for the flipping mad people out there!

  • I have nothing to say about this phone..This is really great..Ericsson knows what to do..By the way I should admit that i miss the fascinating colour of t36m
