How to change Arabic to English in Eten glofiish X650 Once you open, press Start at the top left corner with window logo. Then go "setting" which is usually up of "help, which is with blue icon with "?" In Setting there are 9 keys with 3 BUTTONs at the Bottom. Choose the middle button, which will lead to another screen, in there should be Power, Memory, Microphone,..etc symbol. Choose the blue icon which is between Microphone and Power icons. There are two bar with dropping options. In first bar you can change to English with Arabic support. Hope Help!

Hi, let me say you one "secret": i have a X600 and as in your case my battery last max 1 day. But after update to Windows Mobile 6.5 I have a super mobile phone!!! ~ 3 days battery, and NO self call ended :)

weak PDA with bad camira and a useless 64Mb SDRAM. generally it is fine if you get it as a gift. But not to buy it for daily use. work on an office document of about 1Mb and your system will freez! open e`plordr and the memory will drop to the 5mb RAM and again the system will crash. perfect if you are fan of resrating your device every 20 minutes. it surely will keep you busy.

Back to the shop after 2 weeks. Its main problem is about the really small amount of memory that causes latency (all the time),freezes sometines, and the drop down of the battery in one day. It's really a pity ; could have been a good mobile phone. Avoid it

don't install your softwares in the main memory install it in the memory card this way the phone doesn't hang nor does it slows down and like all other windows mobile always check your memory and close all running application

This is got to the worst phone I have ever purchased. So much so that I had to threaten taking the retailer to court. The faults and problems are as listed:- 1. Mic cuts out after a few moments on most calls made. 2. Battery life appaling, i got 2 hours one day despite charging it up over night. 3. Slow Slow Slow is word here, software applications are like waiting for paint dry. 4. Camera rubbish 5. Touch screen hopelessly poor and recsessed so you cant get to the corner icons! 6. Contact list hard to navigate 7. This phone was supposed to had GPS Maps built into it, well it hasn't. It has GPS but you need to be an expert at orienteering to read it. Also maps impossible to download as no one would support it. In a word....RUBBISH! AVOID IT!!! ARX

I have a glofiish x650 i agree the battery life is very poor realy lets it down. Ive read posts saying it lasts 2-3 days i cant see how it can.

If you are going to use IGO8 (GPS) yourll need to delete the un-used resolutions in the data.zip file, otherwise the program sucks all ur memory. Yourll also need to tweak the sys file aswell (reserve mem etc)

If you get this phone upgrade to the latest ROM from the ETEN website (410 currently)...dont install ANY e-ten apps on setup. Also install the SdkCerts.cab and FISH_TOUCH_FIX2.cab (google yourll find it). This should leave you with 30Mb free ram and your phone working ok.

This phone is great stuff if such expectation have been met: 1) Poor speaker sound comparing to Nokia 2) Very poor battery life. I use it for 30 to 40 minutes of talk and some PIM, it last less than a day. At least 24 hours. The battery drop to 95% immediately after complete charge and slide down very fast. 3) The handfree sound did not improve further. However, there are the volume control that work good. 4) Hang due to low RAM (I guess) 5) Not so responsive. Anybody have a better experience than this. Is it the unit fails or it is a universal problem. Buying E-Ten, if this have been fixed.

its all about low ram which you guys talk. its really simple to fix it just install a ram booster and defragg the memory card's free space to ram. its solved it works....

the device is actually fast, but there is a bug for the touchscreen driver, you need to google it and install the fix, after installing the fix, the x650 flys :)

It's mostly a piece of crap! I own one and after I have paid quite a lot of money for it I noticed after extensive testing that it has a HUGE operating system bug i.e. it does not release all the ram after having used it. The application reponsable for this issue is the CONTACTS application which is a native windows one. For instance it will eat up 2 mb and only give back one. So after 1 hour of playing in contacts, you get left with 1 or less megabytes of RAM and the phone won't even have enough ram to load the default windows wallpaper. Not reliable at all as a phone. I have replaced the firmware with one made by some russians and now that memory leak bug is gone, however it's still a windows mobile phone...and it still crashes, and still you have someone call you and you can't see it because it sometimes decides *like all WM phones to NOT TELL YOU that someone is calling. Who knows, maybe it hates some contacts off your list...or hell. Jokes aside...I am now using it ONLY as GPS and the only app installed on it is IGO 8. Even like this it sometimes crashes. The whole point of buying an operating system phone is to be able to install software, and make it more fun and usable, much like a computer. With WM phones, there is a 50% change of screwing it up with ANY app that you install. I've had it. And believe me, I am a patient person, I've had two wm phones for 2 years, I don't quit easy :)

Will never buy another ETEN!!! After 6 months of using this device, I just was thinking how can I sell it. It is very slow, the amount of free memory is around ~20 MB after clean reinstall, and if you install iGO start it and stop it, the memory drops around ~15 MB, start and stop a few more programs and then you will require a device restart because there is no free mem. anymore. The battery life is around 1 day (using the map from iGO, w/o GPS signal, making ~3 calls, vieweing ~3 times an .xls). I had a lot of lost calls because of this device, so ... it is your decision. A good mark I can give to the display quality, but is this enough?

Hi i have this, wonderful device. The FM radio is working great in Romania(if you plug the headphones in it :P) I can say it is working great but I have installed the IGO 8 gps program and I can clearly see that it needs more RAM. Im waiting for some updates, and I hope some problems will be resolved.

About Transmitter - in some countries it's illegal to have this function, so they disable it in local firmware, all you need is to reistall firmware of different country. that's what happened to me - in ukrainian firmware - no transmitter, then i patched it to russian firmware and- here you are... by the way i want to sell my X650, if anyone want to buy it, come and visit Kyiv. (it's 4 weeks old, in perfect shape +2gb microSD, i want 450 usd for it)

I've bought this device almost a week ago!!!! What can I say... It's slower than Xscale 520mhz, but in most cases it's fast enough. Basically it's not good for watching movies (with 320x240 over 1000kb/sec rate). Not good for 3d games, BUT!!! that's nothing comparing with what you get on VGA screen (640x480)!!! Internet browsing is great!! pictures, reading, interfaces are awesome!!! Of'course there are still a few bugs that newer firmware will fix, like- no FM playback through loudspeaker (v.258) but generally it is very capable device if you are familiar with Windows mobile platform!!! It can be tuned up to work with almost no lags!!! with average 25mb RAM available!!! which is good! my mark - 8.5 / 10, because of some bugs, and samsung processor (i want to have Intel Xscale 520/624 mhz and 128 RAM - this would make it perfect!!!)

I bought it 3 weeks ago.It has a superb display.Everything runs just fine if you do not install so many softwares wich runs in backgound and "eat" memory.The big disadvantage is the small memory.If you don`t install anything you will have around 25 Mb of RAM free.The GPS is ok.GSM works but with some small bugs.You will have problems if you use services like *100#.WiFi is ok.It connects with 11Mb.Bluetooth is also ok.If you use btw handsfree you will hear some background noise,and the sound is much too strong and it will appear some noise distorsions.But if you low the volume on the phone it will be solved.The pictures are not briliant, and the movies are at slow frame rate but sharp 320.240.The battery it will go for 1.5-2 days if used with GSM. In general, I am satisfied by this device.It looks great, thin. If you want to run many softwares in backgound,install complicate skins and, themes and so on , I will sugest to buy an 128Mb RAM device.

hello! I have a big problem with my x650. when I check my memory it reports that I have only 47mb of RAM(total), not 64! and always when I close all tabs(even when I start the phone)I have at most 18mb of free RAM, even 12-14mb. that's why not only that my phone is slow,but I can't use gps-igo2006(error- memory full after I start the program).Does anyone encounter a similar problem? I didn't instal additional software in the phone memory, only on the card-I have a 4gb microsd card. thx

Love it. Excelent display(best ever),fast,small (smallest ever;iphone is thiner but much bigger),battery 1.5-2.2days 1day phone&2hours GPS,nice feeling and design,GPS is fast and accurate. BAD things: Low ROM/RAM (well,i have 4GB on pc so maybe i am a little ..:) - even so,not a big deal.Phone speaker SUCKS,it is verry poor! - that's abaut all... buy it,i recommend it.

the difference between the x600 and the x650 is the screen on the x600 its a 320x240 and on the x650 its a 640x480( 10 times better) the quality of the image on the screen is uncomparable

There is NO hardware difference between a regular MicroSD slot and a MicroSDHC slot - the support comes from the software. Windows Mobile 6 has SDHC support straight from Microsoft, thus this phone, along with ANY other WM6 phone, supports SDHC cards. Also, what's the point of having a pocketable device that you can only browse web pages (at a decent speed) when you're at a WiFi hotspot? You might as well be using a laptop for that. IMO, one of the perks of a cell phone is to have FULL access to the web while on the go - like in a car, business trips, at work, at the gym, hiking, etc. I like ETen products FWIW, but I think it's about time that they start implementing 3G into all their devices - as they have outstanding features (for the price) otherwise

Well if the WiFi is SIP then 3G doesnt matter as you can just hook up through your home internet account or any free WiFi hotspots in the city, and do free VoIP calls for example. Or am I getting this all wrong?....

The good: VGA is incredible, smaller than last one, good pack of resources, run everything from pocketOS, super slim, fast gps. The bad: better sound, better bluetooth, slow photo, average camera The uggly: no support HDminiSD (over 2 giga) is a shame. 3G is necessary, too. The botton: average. ETen, we expect U to impress us, as U did 2 year ago. MOVE ON!
