Gigabyte GSmart G1345 - User Reviews

  • is this a very good phone?? need android kitkat and camera does it ahve? cannot read. The details,, PleAsde to tell me when as possible

  • Tt's a nice mobile phone, reliable and sensitve. If Gibabyte can inpove the lasting time of battery. It will be better.

  • good

  • very good but u bed

  • Would be a nice phone if Gigabyte had put some effort in software. Issues with the battery seem to be common for it. In my case, it sometimes warms up like hell and eats bettery within half an hour. Sometimes there is a spontaneous reboot after a call to/from SIM2. Changing SIM2 to a new one didn't help, just made those reboots less often. Looks like an issue with saving a call info to the SIM, as after the reboot the last call isn't saved.

  • I had it for 1 year. It always frustrated me with its short battery life, especially with GPRS on. It barely lasted a day. AFter the warranty was over it stopped charging. That was it. Needs repair. Look eslewhere

  • i have learned about rooting, wheather it would helpful for memory issue i m facing?

  • thanks, how to fix the rooting problem, software replacement or otherwise? some one ask to tweak the phone, how can i do taht?

  • I have installed around 130 apps. this is possible by rooting the device itself.

  • Sorry for late response! now a days i m using Samsung Galaxy S6102, having problem with its device memory. new messages become discarded even hv 15mb free, moreover i have installed apps of just 25mb, but it shows 155 mb used out of 170mb, how can i fix the problem, please suggest!

  • on what specific sites are you referring that has microsoft silver lite. are you using adobe flash verio 11.0.152?

  • thanks jb! i have downloaded and installed, some of audio stream is working but problem with live news vedio stream is still there? (Microsoft Silver lite required in PC for that streaming). would u suggest any more?

  • wait in Viet Nam

  • yes it can support flash by downloading adobe flash for armv6. seach it at xda developers using google. ty

  • hi, can any one tell me about whether it supports adobe flash player or not?

  • unfortunately not. you can switch to airplane mode the 2 sims together but you can divert all call to answering machine

  • Can someone confirm that you can actually disable one of the sims? Sinec I have 2 sims (work and personal), I want to be able to disable the work sim at certain times, while keep on using the other sim. Is it possible?

  • hi, here you can find:

  • Hy, does anyone know where can I find a batery for G1345?

  • they not says off when browsing or making a call, it always stanby but only one sim to connect to the internet

  • Dual SIM (no dual stand-by) What does that mean, only SIM1 can receive messages and calls, SIM2 can only be used for outgoing calls?

  • hi chopper!...so all the CONS seem to be solved?!..right?...including selfejecting issue for the SD card?..would you recomend this phone?

  • Hi all, from where can i purchase this mobile Gigabyte GSmart G1345 online, can anyone advise. Thanks

  • SD card issue solved if faster card used(now I am using 16 GB class 10, original was some noname slow 2GB); this was the cause for camera app blocking. Now everything works fine, including gsm network, after last ROM update. Apps working well, including GPS, with satisfying battery life (2 days moderate usage, 1 day heavy usage. Good choice.

  • Hi there. Got the phone since Monday, Nov 28 (just writing this comment on it :-) ). I found no major issues. It's fast enough with very good response. I just realized the SD card random unmounting issue but with no impact on installed apps (quite strange). I try to test faster card as recommended in some thread bellow. Some of other experiences: - both SIM cards work well, different operators used - SIM2 is available for calls even data communication is enabled on SIM1 (3G or HSDPA enabled, maybe it could interfer with 2G/EDGE mode - I will test it) - 5MP camera does not make pics in a big quality, similar to my old Omnia 2

  • I have this phone for 2 days, it has tha last ROM version, and the overall impression is good, with some minuses: Pro: 1. Very good CPU speed, this phone it`s really fast, the apps are running smoothly and it responds promptly to all commands 2. Good screen, with good visibility and good touch screen response 3. Pretty good camera 4. Flash LED camera can be used as a flashlight if proper application installed from the Android market Cons: 1. SDcard randomly (but no often) autoeject issue - it will selfmounting back, but apps installed on sd card will no longer be available until reboot 2. Battery life seems to be good but no exceptional, it lasts one day in moderate to heavy usage, if no wlan or gaming, I think it will last 2-3 days of moderate usage. 3. Camera application is not working properly (blocking) 4. SIM 1 signal dropping issue is present, but it seems to have no visible drawback (the SIM1 is working ok even if the indicator shows low signal) In conclusion, after 2 days of usage, I can say that even if I will have the possibility to choose again, I will choose the same model, it is one of the few decent Android systems available. Let`s hope we will see these bugs fixed with the next ROM release. Please post any info about fixing the bugs above, if you know about it. I think the SD card issue can be solved by using a faster card(maybe class 6 or 10). Also, I have the impression that using task killer application can lead to system instability.

  • In reply to your question: Yes I have the latest rom. One more issue is that bluetooth does not work.. have tried to turn on and off, to no avail. Phone will go back to supplier this weekend. Will keep you posted.

  • I have this phone for over 10 days now and it`s been grade. I`ve also tested the G1315 and the difference in the speed is enormous. The CPU is really doing great and in the same time the battery life is extremely good - 3 days in talking, browsing... I`ve not encountered any bugs so far.

  • How is your experience so far with the phone. Can you agree with the bad points anonymus wrote about the phone?

  • Hello JJ. I have one of these. What would you like to know?

  • constantly looses the network signal. Waste of money. Garbage.

  • Have you tried to flash it with the latest official ROM available at on the ROM Updates panel? I'm curious to know a little more about this phone, because I too have a plan to get it for Christmas

  • Thank you for your information. Please keep up your updates. I plan buying this phone for Christmas and I want to know if it deserves its price

  • Can the G1345 receive calls on SIM2 while on YouTube/GTalk with SIM1?

  • In use for 3 weeks now (posted earlier with 1 week experience): Several problems: - Phone resets spontaneously; - one or two sims stop working. - GPS freezes. Off/On solves problems, but should not be needed. Only Gigabyte headset works properly. Other headset give bad sound quality and no call functionality. Will send phone back to store to get it looked at. I hope they can solve these issues.

  • Have you tried testing using the internet on SIM1 (like YouTube or something else that will be actively transferring data) and see what happens if SIM2 tries to receive a call? Thanks

  • CONS: I have also bought this phone. You are right. Signal drop quite often on one of the sims. Only a hard reboot fixes the problem. From time to time, entire phone freezes. Battery must be taken out. After a little continuous usage responsiveness drops and I could not find any way of knowing why, yet. Most annoying fact s that SD card get's ejected and re"prepared" very often and with loud sound. After this only a hard reset can make the applications on card work again. PROS: while it works, it works fine :) PS: hopefully some new update that fixes things will come. HOPEFULLY.

  • SIM 2 will be stronger as compared to SIM 1 in my country as SIM 2 supports GSM only.

  • Have the phone for about a week. Reception is decent as is call quality. Both sim1 and sim2 are on the same network (vodafone). Reception % can differ between sims. How can that be one wonders.... Sometimes one or both sims have no reception at all. A hard reboot (off/on) works to solve this. Sometimes (every two days?) the phone resets spontaneously. Previous phone was a HTC Desire. HTC clearly wins in speed, screen performance/clarity, call quality, software and of course custom roms. But alas, it doesn't have 2 sims that can receive call at the same time like the 1345. One odd thing: my ultimate ears headset wth microphone does not work properly. Only with the answer button pushed sound is decent. My sennheiser headphones (no microphone) is recognised as a headset (which it is not). The headset that came with the phone works fine.

  • Have you got the phone? What is the price?

  • >if i'm always conected to internet on gtalk, sim 2 is off? No, if use 1 SIM other not use for call, but if stand-by use together two SIM. Dual SIM Stand-by, equally other dual stand-by phone.

  • We will receive this phone around 15th of October in Bulgaria. Expected price will be around 210 euros. This is the information we have atm.

  • redirect only when unavailable. but maybe better running with 2 individual phones, chargers, etc.... :-)

  • Not that brilliant - if you redirect calls from SIM1 to SIM2, then it's meaningless to have a Dual SIM phone.

  • this phone is not yet in the open market...

  • i forgot about redirecting calls from sim 2 to sim 1, brilliant ideea! thanks!

  • This IS DUAL-STANDBY, just check at gigabyte's page: "Dual-SIM Cards Standby NOTE: Cautions of Usage: 1. Only ONE SIM card exist at one time when making phone call or internet browsing." It would be ridiculous of them to launch a more powerfull phone (processor, memory, ...) and then remove dual standby. No one would buy such a phone. Nevertheless it is still strange that they remove radio, but I guess most people won't find that much relevant.

  • is it multitouch ?

  • where can i buy a gigabyte phone.... i cant seem to find it anywhere...

  • It has gps and a-gps. You can use gps without internet connection. And it is dual standby, if you're talking with sim1 the sim2 goes to unavailable but you can setup it divert to sim1 if unavailable.

  • The specs say Dual-Sim BUT no dual standby. That seems like a limitation to me. Plus the GPS is A-GPS. Comments anyone?

  • on official gigabyte site i read this: Cautions of Usage: 1. Only ONE SIM card exist at one time when making phone call or internet browsing. if i'm always conected to internet on gtalk, sim 2 is off?
