  • I think the rollback package I uploaded is for B52x to B3xx. If you want to get back to down to B1xx, there was a separate rollback (from B3xx), but I do not have it.

  • Maybe you need to shut down, let it rest a few minutes before trying to start it into update mode.

  • I got it from Huawei Singapore's support/download website. Seems like they removed all the rollback packages, so this is all that's left. What's wrong with Android 6.0 / EMUI 4.0 anyway? I'm using it quite fine - I know the battery life is a bit shorter, but with 3600 mAh, it still lasts me 1-2 days anyway.

  • I managed to update my unit to Android 6.0 / EMUI 4.0 build PE-TL10C900B510. Seems to be working OK. Missing some small touches like HiCare app, "Lock Screen" widget (to reduce pressing the power button to turn off the screen). But it's okay, can get 3rd party apps for it. But hopefully the widget will make a come back in future updates.

  • for those who have updated to marshmallow and facing problem of network and messaging problem may go to setting - advanced setting - backup & reset - factory data reset. this will erase all the applications installed on phone but it will solve the problem and u can enjoy the marshmallow very smoothly.

  • it is actually dual sim . 1 is micro sim , the other is nano sim . it lets you either operates with dual sim with no micro sd card or using 1 sim with extra storage(microsd) Heating ? yes especially when it is hot outside/you're playing high graphic games. Battery life ? Hell i'm using it for about 1 full day , and still have some juice left . So maybe you should reconsider on switching to lollipop.

  • It's dual sim. 1st sim slot (micro-sim); 2nd slot (hybrid - nano-sim or micro-SD). If you want to use the 2nd slot for micro-SD you can't insert a 2nd sim or vice versa.

  • I recently have been using the Honor 6 plus. It consumes a massive amount of data even in standby. About 140 mb a day. I downloaded data manager and it shows that the phone manager app is the guilty party. Anyone else experiencing the same high data usage? If you use the phone's own data traffic tool it does not display the data used by it's own phone manger app. I think it's to do with Honors usage policy; they are probably uploading everything from your phone including the phone calls!

  • actually it is hybrid phone. Hybrid phone stand for where second sim you can insert either sim card or external memory ONCE at a time. If you put a sim card on second slot, then external memory cannot be put on.

  • Hi, I have switch from HTC One M7 to Huawei Honor 6 Plus. It is not fair to compare both phone, because they are at different range, and also different year. The reason of change is mainly on price (that why didn't switch to HTC One M9), and also attracted by Huawei Honor 6 Plus camera and battery life. I am very satisfy on HTC One M7. Sadly that HTC didn't continue develop the ultrapixel technology into M9 (rear camera is standard lens, although front camera is Ultrapixel). My review is based on general: 1. Huawei using Emotion UI, and it doesn't have Apps Drawer. If you are a fans of apps drawer, then this doesn't suit you. Of course you can switch to other Launcher (which will be other topic). 2. HTC Sense is better for me, because of BlinkFeed. Furthermore, the Phone book enable you to link to Facebook/Google+ etc is a plus for HTC Sense. Whenever there is call for person that you have link to social media, the Caller view will shown their Facebook profile photo. 3. Burst Shot - HTC One M7 won. Just an user experience, and not to explain in detail, HTC One M7 will always shown more detail and clearer pic when I taking burst shot (for my friend who was jumping while take the shot). Let's talk on the good point of Honor 6 Plus: 1. Dual Camera - The Dual Camera let you edit the 'focus' AFTER taking the photo. However, you need to switch to a mode call 'Wide Aperture" in order to use it. If you taking photo at normal mode, you won't be able to 're-focus' it after taking the photo. Quality of the 'Wide Aperture' mode - Fantastic. All of my friends were being impressed by the photo quality (100% successful impressive rate so far). Low light - Done the job, but nothing to be impressed comparing to HTC One M7 (because of Ultrapixel camera). I am accepting and compromising on the low light photo, because of the good price, doesn't expect too much. :-) 2. Battery Life - Whao, that is good. I am a normal user (not the gaming and watching video kind), so it is good for me on the battery life. 3. Sound - By comparing to the same range of phone, I like the sound it produce. (Of course HTC One M7 still the best for me), but as I said, they are in different phone range, not fair to compare on them, but as user experience, if you are those user that emphasize on sound, then go for HTC One M9/M9 Plus. I like the sound on Huawei Honor 6 Plus too. 4. Speed - So far still satisfy. (only 2 months usage). 5. Build in 32GB of memory, and allow to have MicroSD Card (Big big LIKE for me). I am not the fans of cloud service, and this spec is one of the factor that I decided to buy the phone. Build in 32GB, that a 'whao' for me, because among the same range of phone, some of them just provide 16GB and some even dare to give me 8GB of memory??!! 6. Connection - I am very happy with it because I am always the only phone that have good signal while other friends suffer weak signal (same service provider) at the some area that we visited. I even had to share Hotspot to them to use my mobile data. Not able to explain the reason, just experience sharing. Even Wi-Fi connection also good for me. We all were connected to certain Wi-Fi but I am the one that able to browse FB and other internet activity. Also not sure the reason or just coincident. Trouble Shooting: One issue for me so far, which I am not able to find the solution online. However, I solved it in simple way. - I had a camera issue - I had one issue that "Wide Aperture" was not functioning. I was able to take the photo, but the photo taken not 'Save' into the Gallery. 2nd issue was out of 10 photos taken on 'Normal' mode, only 3-5 of them being 'Saved'. These were very annoying, when you were taking some precious moments, end up they were not 'Save' in the Gallery. (memory gone without picture, can you feel the pain?) Solution for my case: I tried to uninstall apps one by one, and finally found 2 apps that caused the issue - CM Security & CM Clean Master. I really don't why it happen, but it happened on my phone. After uninstalled both apps, the phone function as usual. For phone cleaning and security, Huawei Honor 6 Plus has a build-in apps - Phone Manager. Thus, I use it as alternative to CM Security and CM Clean Master. No other issue so far. Thanks.

  • Don't go for samsung.. Choose either bet htc or honor.... Do consider the after sales services in your area.... htc 820 overheats sometimes but is a good device for moderate use... If you don't have any issues regarding brand then go for honor 6+..

  • This phone is great for the hardware and offcourse like all ther huawei phones it is great value for money but software has lot of issues and no update is in sight. This is the biggest drawback of huawie, oppo, meizu and the likes. They just are not invested enough in software side of the phone.

If you want a phone that takes great images, look at the sensor and aperture size rather than megapixel count.

I have been playing brave frontier, and I have no experience of any lag. The camera is the best one here! Its like a little version of DSLR. For the software, even though its outdate, it still runs verrryyy smoothly unlike with the other smartphones which has the latest versions but unresponsive. ;) And regarding about the heating issue, it does heat whenever you use it too much. But its pretty normal for a 4g phones to experience hot issues. This phone is the best choice for ya'll who wanted to have a phone that works perfectly, smoothly, with great design, and a super amazing specs! Considering with its affordable price for its quality. ;) You will never regret buying this phone.

I have been playing brave frontier, and I have no experience of any lag. The camera is the best one here! Its like a little version of DSLR. For the software, even though its outdate, it still runs verrryyy smoothly unlike with the other smartphones which has the latest versions but unresponsive. ;) And regarding about the heating issue, it does heat whenever you use it too much. But its pretty normal for a 4g phones to experience hot issues. This phone is the best choice for ya'll who wanted to have a phone that works perfectly, smoothly, with great design, and a super amazing specs! Considering with its affordable price for its quality. ;) You will never regret buying this phone.

  • Im from the Philippines, and I have been using the device for almost a week now. So far so good. Camera is excellent, Performance is superb, and in terms of functionality, I love it (otg ready). I just have one problem though, I don't know how to exactly set my date to the actual and current date here in the Philippines, everytime I set the correct date today PHL date (6/23) I seem to have a problem with text messaging- cant receive or send text msgs. If i set the date to its default (6/24) then my problem goes away but date is not exact. I already turned off the automatic date & time in the settings and automatic time zone. Appreciate the help.   • I have this device from three.co.uk, and so far it isthe best budget phone ever. It makes very nice pictures (second camera for depth field, awsome super night mode, plenty adjustments). It is not a speed demon, but for everyday use is perfect. You can use micro and nano sim card, or micro sim and micro sd card up to 128GB. Touchscreen is also very precise, no problems with lcd in direct sunlight at all. Phone quality is on high standard, built-in speaker quite loud, CPU max temp. around 45C, battery lasts forever, phone size is to big to operate it by one hand (active part of the screen should shrink on demand to reach every its part). IR blaser and its tv remote is a masterpiece. EMUI 3.0 is not perfect (preffer htcs Sense), but customizable.

  • My exp with honor 6 Plus Web browsing - stock browser (QQ browser) kinda suck (too many link / bookmark to crap site (chinese crap), but you can simply add Chrome, instead. Unless you are chinese. Web browsing speed - (chrome) fast. But depend on your connection. Gaming - 8.5/10, tested high graphic games such as GTA, Bladeslinger, Anomaly 2, Asphalt etc.. no lag while gameplay, just loading the game a bit slow compare to iphone6 plus. Email - imap & pop3 mail works well so far, for business email ( private mail server ).. depend on your setup and theres optional app on play store that help. Music -?? good if you are not fussy about sound quality, stereo speaker just 6/10.

  • U may find the sim ejection tool in the box. Take it a press in the micro hole on the right side of the phone. In case if u cant find the ejection tool the use a pin. The sim tray will be out. Put ur sim (use a nano sim card) on the tray and close it. That's all.

  • Just bought my Huawei Honor 6 plus last sunday, and it's great, the phone runs so fast and smooth with its octa-core processor and 3gb RAM that playing the graphics-heavy games on google play like real racing 3, real boxing and modern combat 5 are no problem with its beast specs, camera is great,I love the dual cam that lets me adjust the actual depth of field of the picture and not just adding blur effects to my photos, the dual flash is so bright taking a picture in total darkness is no problem and shows up very bright in the photo taken, front camera is the same as the main cam which is very nicefor taking selfies, but, nothing of the above can I give more praise than the screen and its very high resolution that an officemate of mine can't get over my Honor 6 plus's very clear display he keeps comparing it to his iphone 6

After much deliberation over these 2 smartphones - I have just placed an order for the Honor 6 Plus. *Note: The option of dual sim was a MUST in this instance. Granted the P8 is slimmer, constructed of all metal, lighter, and with an arguably advanced camera, I found that the extra USD $275 (only 64GB version of dual sim P8 currently available) did not justify the differences. Also, battery life is very important to me and with its 20% larger battery, I expect to enjoy much greater usage when compared to the P8. Granted, had Huawei did the wise and brave thing and supplied the EU, UK, and USA markets with the dual sim version of the P8 in stores it would have been the opposite outcome. In fact, I am sure Huawei would have cleaned up in the EU and UK if the P8 was supplied as a dual sim phone. Get your sh!t together Huawei! (Good phones tho.)

  • Among all the dual-sim phones I ever used, this is the most stable, ALL ROUNDER ACCEPTABLE functionality phone. The last GX750 that I bought failed me, but this phone totally changed my skeptical towards this chinese brand. The only down side is this phone launch with a 4.4.2. Hope that Huawei is sensitive towards the upcoming new supporters. You have done a very good job with the EMUI 3.0, no reason to say no good and I just bought another Honor 4x for my son today!

Phone scores on looks, camera, performance, display, battery and sound. Some of shots even beat my iPhone ... Only downside is that Indian version is single SIM. Though it has two SIM slots but only one is activated. Second can ONLY be used for microSD, it will not recognize SIM. Hope that helps

Even tho the data speed is not 4 G i have the H, fast enough for me, it opens a hd video from youtube in 4 seconds, is it fast?, screen es clear, nice, full high definition and the brightness is the best i ever saw in any phone i had, ips display gives you real color, coming from galaxy family i am more than happy, i was tired of the yellow and dark tone of galaxy family. The camera is impresive, fast and sharp, today i compared the honor 6 plus with the galaxy s6 but knwoing the better quality of samgsung the difference bet the 2 screens does not cost 400 dollars, it means i paid 400 dollars for the huawei, not even to compare the honor with iphone 6, honor 6 plus looks more premiun, i like the glass back, but need to admit its fragile, you have to be careful cuz it cans get scratched easy. Hope my opinion helps you.

  • Is same here in China. If you prefer to use memory card, only one Sim card is supported. For dual Sim cards, you have to give up the extra memory.

I had also tested navigation with an offline GPS app and resulted almoust the same result,but not so very hot. I don't have a infrared termometer to know precise the temperature but is about 50-60'C .

  • I got my hands on honor 6 plus. Phone is fantastic better than what i expected. camera has great technological features not found on other handsets. I was blown away with its capabilities in adjusting aperture focus. This is quite near to what SLR cameras can produce. UI is neat and performance is smooth. I recommend it to any serious techies.

  • That is not accurate. Just above the SIM2 slot, there is a dedicated SD card slot. So at the SIM2 side pocket, there are 2 slots next to each other i.e SIM2 and SD. SIM1 slot is alone just adjacent. You will be on both SIMs at the same time have the SD card lodged in and on. Really seamless.

  • The interface is not a problem. That's another reason why android is better than iOS. You can download from Google play store another launcher and make the interface exactly as you like. Now, about the phone, it looks fantastic. The only thing is that I prefer 5 inches displays, as 5.5 seem to big for me...

  • It evens look like the iphone 6 just with better specs and no bezel. Now that is what I call honor (pardon the pun)among theives to say the least. I would buy it based on specs alone. Apple will not like this at all #ROLMFO.

  • It's not that uncommon that you can choose which SIM-slot that is going to be used for 3G or 4G (for example Honor 3X, ZTE V970, Nubia Z7 series etc).

  • Now this is going to be a monster and that is why we dint have any reviews for the former. Bcoz this new biggie was the one that huawei wanted to make more eyecatching . I bet this is going to be the killer of all. Good one huawei once again . i simply love the former model and i m jealous since i have lost the opportunity to play with this one. :)

  • nope, in all dual sim smartphones.. only one sim can supports the 3G/LTE connectivity... the other only 2G. i believe that the sim1 is always the one that has the 3G/4G option enabled.
