Simple---- 1)put the image that you want a screenshot of on your screen. 2) put the device on a table with a dark background. 3) get another device(borrow, buy, steal, etc.) that has a functional camera on it. 4) take a picture of original device (U8860). 5) crop the pic by cropping out everything but the screen.

I have had this phone for 4 years and it has been a great phone. Just doesn't fit into the modern world. It does seem to get warm if charging AND making a long call at the same time on a low battery. It helped to place it on a hard (non-insulating) surface when doing both those things at the same time.

Good loyal phone in the beginning (first year or more) then you have to be a bit patient with it. Initially things were very satisfactory and I liked the phone due to its external appearance and decent display. Problem started after couple of months and problems were multi-fold. The basic functionality for which this is called as phone was not working. I was not able to make calls. Sometime, I touch for dialling, it just do not respond. After 1 minute time may be when I already kept the phone inside pocket, it is dialling (serving the previous request). However phone is not slow of heavily loaded with many process at that time. Will get a good relief the day when I throw this phone.

Take battery out of phone while phone is on. Hold volume up and then power at the same time. Hold until logo pops up. Use volume and power to navigate to an option of cleaning data and catch, NOT FORMAT. Clean the catch. If it doesn't work, then your SOL and need a new phone. U could hard reset if u want, its up to u. It "might" work. Just back up it stuff.

I had the same problems as puma but I didn't pay to much atention to it. Well, I should've paid more attention to it. Now my phone is dead and all it does is having the battery light flashing red. I've also had problems with diffrent kind of games (old and new ones for android), the fact that this phone has so much dedicated ram for it's own background-software explains pretty much why. The only good things I can come up with is the camera and the screen quality, but if you whant those things you could just buy a camera for a third of the price.

I have this phone for 9 months. All I can say is that this phone is a disaster on many levels: 1. When using 3G, you start receiving texts that you had missed calls, since apparently the 3G conflicts with some phone software (even after complete factory reset). To be able to use this phone, I had to switch to 2G. 2. When you hang up, and try to make a call immediately, the phone stares at you for 10sec. without any response. 3. The phone is slow compared to the lower spec. phones from Samsung and HTC. Bottom line... I am counting days for the contract to expire to get another phone! This was my first (and last) Huawei.

I used to be a great admirer of of this set after its launch.I waited for its price fall and it happened I ordered on line and got it.I was happy enoughto have this but I noticed a flaw in this set that it always deductsRs1.50/as last sms charge unles it exhausts your main balance.I ve visited several service centers but invain......My advice would be not to buy set from manufacturers with dubious character.....

Has it occurred to somebody that when you are playing, surfing or doing something with your phone and then returning to main screen (well, pushing that little house button below), then "desktop" loads VERY slowly." Answer: Yes. It happens when the system needs that ram the background app (Home) is using. The system then closes the Home app (because it's an app) and enables the current ongoing app you are using to use that ram so it can run good. The system has some configs for that. It closes several background apps before it closes the Home app. "Mine does it so." Answer: As explained, is not only yours. It happens to a large number of very good smartphones with such amount of available ram. Even to the ones with doble the amount of the ram this devise has. It's normal. "It loads like in 10 seconds." Answer: It's normal. It's quite good, 10 seconds, its 1.4Ghz processor. Helps there. "Is it because I use 16gb SD card?" Answer: No. That has nothing to do. Although a 32Gb class 10 sd would be nicer. "I have tried all kinds of taskkillers etc etc (do not consider me dumbuser). Nothing helps... :(" Answer: If you dont like such thing, its ok. Task killers wont really help here, what you need is to be aware of the apps that are running in the background when you are using some app, game or browsing. The most demandant task that will cause that event are browsing in multiple tabs and gaming. So, what you need is that, and know that several apps start along the system when it starts, several. And such thing is intended for those apps to start faster when you eventually -want to- open them. In my experience Ive found that 'preloading' to be useless because apps still start fast, and that preloading only charges the cpu, battery and ram with unwanted processes causing them to work more and drain faster. But, when the Home app gets automatically closed is because the system really needed its ram. Ok, it can be configured to be left alone but that could compromise performance as the system wouldnt be allowed to close it down when it's necesary. You see? So youd be better letting it as it is now. Just to help you with the unwanted preloading; get your Honor rooted and buy RomTool Box Pro. One you get it I'll show you how to. It's a quite simple process and harmless. That app is a really must have one, it has several more uses, thats why I recommend it to you. Once the preloading of the apps is terminated youll feel your Honor running much lighter and faster. Battery will last longer too. It's probable the shutting of the Home app stops too. In my Xperia Pro it happens too, sometimes, mostly in the cases I mentioned. But not always. Sometimes I play nicely and can close the game to find the Home app right there, sometimes it's reloading. Nothing to worry about my friend. "And more, is it worth to upgrade to Channel B928 as it suggests?" Answer: Dont know of such thing. But maybe I could suggest you to stay on Gingerbread, at least for one more year or unless you know you will get very benefited of the upgrade to ICS, and that it will work fine. Many have upgrade it and returned to GB. Just get very informed before you do it. My Xperia Pro is running just perfectly fine on GB, cant see a reason to upgrade it. Well, I hope I am not too late to give you some help. If anyone would like some advice, feel free to write to my [email protected]. My Pro is quite similar to this Honor. Nope. Everything works just fine. The only problem I've got so far is that it gets really hot when gaming. the ICS looks pretty good, hopefully we will be able to get Jelly bean.

Hi Thiza Yes the Huawei honor is available in SA. I've gotten mine at Vodacom. Though you have to special order it. Cause of the popularity which is minimum I'm very happy with the phone. Performance wise.

The bottom of my 1 month old phone becomes really hot when I am playing an app. and sometimes when it is charging. Why does the processor get so hot? The switch that turns on the phone doesn't work very well. It takes many tries and effort to turn it on and it is rather frustrating. Other than that I do like the phone as it is my first smart phone. Any solutions?

In reply to TardyCat it being an awful phone, I confirm it's awfully good value and better than my wife's Sony Ray. You must have something that's uber-slick?! And to think I was going to get a Ray until I wanted to try a larger screen. I don't do BIG so unless the dimensions are a tad over what I have that's what I'll stick with. Hers loses calls and she can't get through a day without charging. I have the same issue only when I have all BT/WiFi/GPS on LOL. Snobs may laugh at the name but I'll have the last laugh thank you very much.

It's awfully good.Kudos to Huawei for bringing out this phone at an affordable rate.It's really a wonderful mobile. I bought it through www.maniacstores.com online.My suggestion is it's better if it is sent with screen guard and back cover because in other countries we don't get a suitable cover for it. Ensure you turn off apps when not using, if apps are running in the back ground they tend to use the battery left hence low batterry. Try and post feed back

I have had this phone for some time, and it's just great - the colours are amazing, camera is neat and browsing web is really fast and comfortable. I hanev't upgraded it to ICS and I probably won't either, because the GB is in my opinion more homie and comfy. There is one thing that slightly disturbes me - while speaking to somebody on the phone the sound is very loud(yes i have turned it down as much as possible). Does it bother anyone else or is it just me ?

Please make sure that you dont have many applications running at a time and also make sure that the apps are all on sd card. I had the same problem in an android set on gingerbread and my problem was lots of facebook pending messages, lots of cache storage and all apps were on the phone. Also download the task killer from play store and keep it running.

I noticed a number of comments in here about the excellent battery life for this phone. I have been using mine now for three days and my battery life is very poor. I took it off charge this morning at 6.30 am and it is now only 11.30 am and it is at 50% and I have hardly used it. The system shows that 79% of the battery use is Android System. I have wi-fi and bluetooth off. Does anyone think this is right or is the battery suspect.

Had this phone for 2 weeks now. Not a single problem. Battery life is excellent, even with super heavy use its no way to drain it until bedtime. I don't play games but use social networking and other apps heavily, i use the phone for business. Skype and google video chats perform fine and anything else i throw at it. What i most enjoy is the super crisp screen and battery. Some reviews complain about screen and camera but i didn't have any screen distortion of colors! Camera snaps clear and quality pics in daylight, low light performance same as all phones. After updating to ICS there is no difference in performance. I love this phone.

Im using this phone about 2 months and i dont have problems with batery or wifi or even i dont have lag. Only problem is 3g, when 3g is turned on and you are using internet bottom of the phone become hot, but i dont use 3g, it saves me batery and problem which i mentioned above. It takes for me about 2 days to discharge with normal using : 1hour 2d game, sms, calls, few hours 2g internet + wifi every day. So i dont know about your batery, but mine lasts long. (earlier i had nokia 5530 with the same using it lasted max 6-7 hours).

A hate rant on gsmarena? That's just sad. The US is not the only market for android, not by a long shot. Samsung can appeal and there are no bans in place yet. The court were 5 judges that all live a 15 minute drive away from cupertino, where Apple has its headquarters. I doubt their word will change world history. The Honour is a great phone with an amazing price to performance ratio. Despite a simple design, the processor can handle almost anything you throw at it and considering it's power, the battery holds up a very long time. 4.0 sucks up the RAM a bit much but that's a minor inconvenience. The screen is can handle some sunlight and at top brightess can burn holes in your eyes with amazing colours and a pleasant resolution. If you don't need a big name printed on your phone and wanna keep it below $300, this is the phone for you.

A warning to potential purchases! If you buy one of these, there is a chance it may have a version of Android for China installed. You can still change language to English but you won't be able to install google apps and market, etc. If you try and change the system to another version, it will fail to upgrade. Huawei U8860 cost about 50% of what i paid for the iphone 4(no iphone 4S when i buy iphone) I can tell you, it is worth every cent you spent on it just as you would spend on an iphone and it is 50% only. I found that it is even better as reception very good, never have miss call anymore where else it is daily for iphone.it is compact and light, very clear jusat as iphone, i found that maybe even bit faster I read on this site that there r those wary of China phone.Claiming that they may become a victim of pilferage by certain software incorporated into the China made phone. Come on dont be ridiculous, who r u thatt China need your personal information for such a big company and country ? I will say get it if you do not have any handphone yet and or intend to buy one soon. Yes, it can use viber. i ever try this, ok for 30 minutes call and no lag (my position in indonesia using this huawei honor, and my friend in japan using galaxy s2). it is using 10MB data for 30minutes call after that, it detect poor quality and hang up although my dataplan not exceed yet. but message can be used. i think there are bugs in viber. wish it can be better in the next viber update

problem solved... as i just copy the extracted files to the folder DLOAD in the root of sdcard... then go to setting->storage->software upgrade->sdcard upgrage->confirm.... and problem solved... now im using the english version with all the gapps.... now: not that WO type logo, all apps are in eng, gapps r working now. happy man.

i'm having this phone. internal storage is 1GB and around 800MB available. there's also a 2GB internal SD in it. ROM 4GB = 1 GB internal storage + 2 GB internal SD + 1 GB to store your custom ROM. if using external SD card, the 2GB internal SD would be useless and i dont know the purpose of having internal SD. Samsung Galaxy W is also having internal SD (USB storage). Even my huawei X3 also has 20MB internal SD and around 150MB available internal storage. why do i need a 20MB SD if my available internal storage is larger (150MB)?

dude, wthail are you talking?! do you even know what is Gorilla Glass and LCD? how about this: my HTC has an S-LCD (which is a newer LCD) with Gorilla Glass on top of it.. LCD/IPS/AMOLED/etc is the display technology, they are placed underneath the protection layer of Gorilla Glass/plastic/normal glass.. and so far, the best protection for display is the Gorilla glass.. you are like saying, this is a fuji apple, so it is not as good as florida orange, because florida orange can withstand higher storage temperature than carribean coconut..

I have been using Nokia for many years and familiar synchronising with PC using the Nokia software PC/OVI Suite. We may have a winner here. I prefer a single core phone that's > 1GHz+1900Mh battery over a 1.5GHz Dual or Quad core phone with only a 1500Mh battery that only lasts for 3 hours. I'm tired of walking around with 2 or three batteries all day!

Huawei, get your act together and release this phone already. Think about it, all the new Android phones have powerful dual cores that eats up precious juice. If you can make your phone last a whole day on heavy use, or a few days on light use, you can really steal the market.

well i am shocked from huawei, this looks awesome. maybe a bit of galaxy S2 clone. but everyone copies everyone today. it looks good. hope it gets released in the uk. if priced properly should give the galaxy s and S2 a run for its money. well done Huawei

you only need flash as torch. in context of compact camera it's useless. my big advice to you - never use flash, unless you doing some close up. that's only for macro.
