Type *#*#4636*#*#...then go to "Marvel Testing".....then "Usb Settings" ....then "Network settings".....then select sim slot (sim1/sim2).....then go to "Network Settings" of selected sim card now select network type( i advice you to select 3G , it will work ....my 2G network also failed after 30min but 3G doesn't fails ) ..... N.B=>you have to do this everytime when you reboot your phone ... Thank you

I am very disappointed with this tab. Twice within the warranty period in a gap of three months I went to the HP store and got the mother board replaced only to find the same not working and the charging point being completely burnt rendering the Tab in a non working condition.

Never buy Tab of hp.its waste of money.I brought 2 tab of hp.Both are of no use now. HP slate 7 (voice tab) within the warranty period changed the board due to charging point issue.and now again the board is damaged and fresh board comes at 12000rs. Interesting the service engineer from hp is ready to buy it from me for Rs 1500. Can't find the logic in it.I believe the spares are not available so easy . So pls do not buy Tab of Hp (any series).

Wht u need to do here download one application from Google play named superuser to create rooting in ur voice tab 7 then restart the phone then again download application file manager hd none else...this will be yellow icon folder . everything u can do then with this app... U can trnsfr files to memory card....else simply go to nearest service center and within 15 mins they will do the same for you..bye

Now i am repenting for this.. it is having so many Drawbacks don't understand why HP People launched the device into the market.. Slate 7 is not at all having battery backup..it wont have the proper connectivity..automatically it will display an error and will not have signals ...you will not have the signals unless untill restart the device..and the microphone & ear piece in the device will collapse in 2 to 3 months will not give the clarity in listening and speaking....device will automatically restart and will not work for some time .. ..Totally a Disguising Model from HP... The slate is good is all respects except it has a very poor battery life. Within 4 hours battery is dead. I think that either they are misrepresenting about 30 mAH battery else the screen is really draining the battery very fast. About 12 noon everyday, phone is dead.

all user of hp or any other tablet ..who has problem to conect to pc for internet they has a easy solution .. just on the hotspot option.. and in pc instal an usb wifi adaptor and conect it.. easy contect to the pc.. laptop on the way.. before i am very confusing about the product .. but after use the product one month i am very happy with the hp product.. compare to other tablet its affortable in the specifications..and i give it 8 out of 10..

I am using this device for almost 10 months and didn't find any complaints except for volume level which is quite low. You may go for it as you will not get any better option in this price range that too from HP.

Has been 9 months using the tablet. Everything is not fine. The screen smtimes doesn't respond so I hv to reboot or lock then unlock it...so irritating. One more....I hv opened the back cover only about 5-6 times only to put SIM, SD card, etc and it has become a bit loose! There is no back cover avl for this in market (online). No armour cover anywhere....camera could be better if flash was there...and if it was about 8mp in like 1k extra. So basically the equipment is good but accessories aren't avl in the market. Its not that its hard to find them....u just CANNOT get them, they're not AVAILABLE!!!! This is horrible. And back cover is even more horrible - I didn't experience back cover prob in any other device! Other things r just OK.

Very sorry to say, I' m disappointed beyond words! Right from start having problems but still they did not replace. 1st it was the touch pad, then it worked as though it has a mind of its own, then speaker stopped working and now when I try to take pictures, it says cannot connect to camera. And sad to tell you, still 3 months more to complete a year. No help from HP service people or reliance digital where I bought it from!!!! Still under warranty but they will only keep dragging it till that period is over!!!!!!😣

Best tablet I ever had . no bloatware, fabulous battery life , good signal receiver, no problems when upgrading software to KitKat. Minimum lag. Poor camera but I don't care. Impressive keyboard typing : minimum error. Best price for value. My only complain : original tab cover price is 17% from tab price. Otherwise : very best tablet, compare to other I ever purchase. No need brand detail you know what I mean.....😀

Hello! I too tried updating my software...! At 1st it dowbloaded a 500+ mb file..!! Then it asked to restart & install...which i did..!! But after restarting, i guess there was some problem while INSTALLATION ..!! Because now my tab isnt switching on..!! There is this 1 peculiar thing though...The android figure (the green android dummy) is lying with a "!" symbol withing a RED TRIANGLE...!! No matter how many times i tried to switch it off..it started back automatically & the same scene appered...!! So its neither switching off nor switching onn...!! :/ Need HELP..!! :(

i thought that hp slate 7 voice tab would not get kitkat update . But , yesterday that is 16-1-2015 at 3:45PM i got the update . The file was 416.3 mb and once it was downloaded , my tablet rebooted and now it is working well with 4.4.2 .

There is no led flash etc........ Processor is slot this device does not support pen drives etc though it is able to support mouse I didn't check wid keyboard but it must work........overall I am not expectecting such a blunder in products by HP!

open file manager... and cut /copy the songs from your music folder............ and paste it in the ringtone folder......finished... now go to settings..select the ringtone and change it ....done

BEWARE before buying hp slate 6 or 7. It has a manufacturing defect. It works fine with single sim. As soon as you put second sim network of both dim goes off. I just gave back my slate 6 and got my money back. Now i am happy with grand 2. Do not go for slate 6 or 7......

Guys, good tablet but camera quality, resolution is not good at all. Runs smoothly. Nice experience. You can even connect mouse and keyboard to it but not pendrive. Video recording is not like HD at all.DOESNT HAVE A LED FLASH. FRONT CAM IS GOOD. if I was asked to rate it then - 7/10

it is very good. worth for it'd money yes, it does not have LED flash but both camera are very good.It's battery backup is low.I charged it buy other charger,I think that's why. Touch screen is very nice.No hands till 5 months of buying.Runs very smoothly. So, it is best in it's range

Pls beware. HP slate 7 voice tab has a manufacturing defect. With dual sim the network of both sims goes off untill you restart the device. This will keep on happening endlessely! HI! i have been using hp slate 7 voice tab for quite a while.....its good and recommendable!....but it also has got two sides like a coin.....positive features can be its resolution and touch...they are very good....battrey back up is okay....memory s good...16 gb nternal memory...and upto 32 gb memorycard can be inserted.....my tab has never got hang yet!....selfie camera is also good...and the primary camera is very good...but the device lacks flash.....it has a bit network problem....u will have to restart ur tab again and agin for good 3g service...playing games is very easy..and the sze to is handleable....enjoy ur hp slate 7 voice tab! its worth it! :)

Never buy. Very bad service, even with 100 problems, they won't replace, unless u can clearly show some hardware issue, which they can't deny. Never buy any HP tablet, I believe they all would have similar quality, as in voice tab 7. If you want to go for call centre calling, consumer court etc, then u should buy this.

Very poor audio, poor than my mobile, at times I can not write anything(not always), calls get voice missing all of a sudden for few mins.a totally untested product. Wastage of your whole money. HP slate 7 voicetab is a machine I bought this product from Croma since a month ago , no issue on this device working pretty cool , one thing with d device is once u encounter any network problems on d 3G network maybe if its drops net , speedily take it to d service centre for upgrading and you'll enjoy your machine........HP d best.

u better can use mobile pen drive which can be used for both tab and pc i am using it for my slate 7 voice tab. it'll be very useful for u and also some is there which acts like an otg cable if u use it iam not sure it will work on slate 7 vt, so be careful on buying it

purchased it on June 3rd. When playing Hay day and Subway surfer game for about 5 minutes, encounter some lag ; the touchscreen became unresponsif but the background game still run smooth. So i had to power on and off it everytime it occured. Already went to local HP service center, just re-install the tablet without further diagnostic. They said it might be the application ( hay day and subway surfer ) are not compatible with the tablet. Doesn't make sense at all. My previous tablet ran in lower specs than HP slate 7 voice tab but never encountered any lag while playing hay day and subway surfer game.

Battery backup-4 movies or 1.5 days of normal usage. Battery backup is amazing. Camera is bad, worse than Nokia's 2 mp. Plays 99.9% games without lag. Screen glare is too much in sunlight. No issues with call drop or anything. I have one so helping u guys out.

I bought this tab two weeks back and it got stuck. I've given it for servicing. Its not booting. Any simmillar issues? Also this device is not OTG compatible. You have to always open back cover to insert sd cards and sim cards. Speaker volume is not high as expected. Images are full of grains at nights. Overall there r so many issues the company has to look into other wise this product will soon be thrown away from the tab market

have purchased hp slate voice tab 7 last month from nasik HP store gangapur road,  but from the I bought I'm facing a huge issues with tablet. Also went to store in nasik where I purchased the second day itself to Mr.Amit ...... Complaining that its getting hanged...... Also I'm not getting network or sim service whenever I try to latch on 3g I also changed sim but its of no use. I went to store they did some trouble shooting and told will replace as its two days old tablet but when same issue arrived I tried to call again but now the fellow Amit is ignoring not answering my calls and telling me will get back to you and its a month but no calls or any approach ... I think some issues with HP store network hence cannot call me and I'm not a begging for anything so how many times should I call or wait.... Any ways I'm not going to sit quiet I will write as many blogs I can for this cheap service and customer service of brand name HP????????

just got it yesterday. quite immpressed. excellent stereo speakers(against asus fonepad),better build quality & as of now good battery life. becareful as mini sim slot supports only 2G,will have 2 cut my sim into microsim to get 3G. Removing back panel everytime is a pain. minimalistic HP UI helps keep it clutterfree. had paid 13.7k at amazon

It doesn't have flashlight. Video quality is good, but please don't compare with costly flagship devices. Comparing all the aspect I can say it's the best 7" tablet in this price range. I own this device and if you want to buy a tab at 15K then you can go for this.
