  • Y is is it the memory so low n I can hardly download anything need more space, love the phone though

  • I've had my HTC Aria's 4 years now and I still love it. A large capacity SD card is absolutely needed. I love the compact size and it has performed great over the years.Th eonly gripe I've had against the phone is that when it is on speakerphone the sound only comes from the speaker it the rear. It would be nice if it also came out the from speaker as well.

  • hi colleagues, i have a HTC Liberty phone... but it keeps bothering me with signal problem. Please help, someone!!!

  • i'm not able to surf internet frm so many days...getting error-webpage not available..can u plz tell me what should i do?

  • I've used the HTC Aria for over 2 years now, it's a great phone. My only issue has been that you really need to add the 32GB memory card as I never have and I'm constantly deleting apps or photos from my device to free up memory. I never used many of the features so can't comment on those really. The camera still takes fairly nice photos in my opinion depending upon the light. I've been able to upgrade for a few months now but have been holidng out for the right phone, wouldn't mind if I had to hold out for another 6 months though as I'm still happy with my Aria besides the memory issue.

  • I think you require to download from Market the " Android Assistant" their you will see the " batch uninstal , pls touch the options then u see the all download software , beside that you may see your download app in " Market Menu" MY APP option. However few app can't see like built-in app & the downloaded app which not applicable for Android older version.

  • i have installed some application in my HTC Aria but I can't able to see the applications in my phn.can u plz tell frm where i can see the software in my phn?

  • The E sign means your network has Edge support, which is high speed GPRS. For changing your ROM with an unofficial ROM - visit xda...

  • Hello everyone, I have bought a used Aria from Pak, which will be reaching here in Congo tomorrow insha Allah. What advises you can give me? I had Nokia Express Music which was stolen last month from my home.

  • can u plz tell me some one how do I install 2.3(ICS)in HTC Aria?

  • this mobile's price too high compared to it's feature's.......i am unsetisfied with this mobile.

  • I have the same problem, I have to delete every app's cache/data before I can download 3 tiny (less than a MB) apps.

  • My touch-screen is no longer working, seems that have to buy a new touch screen. Any suggestions what the price would?

  • this is a great phone!!!! after rooting it and installing 2.2 custom rom.... i can move apps to sd card and its super fast after that and phone storage never gets low....although it does not have adobe flash player 10.1 but it has adobe flash player lite....runs smoothly over surfing the internet....i agree battery timing is not as far as good

  • if u choose to get the aria, do not get a refurbished one. mine tried to text land lines and called people when it was sitting on the table. wires tend to cross badly. just saying.

  • I like the HTC Aria overall, but my phone had a lot of issues. If you get this phone make sure you put a strong phone cover on right away. For the past year and a half I've been using my phone with a huge crack in the screen and also my button to lock/unlock stopped working. The storage does run out fast (I have the 8GB) The size of the phone is good. I love the button on the front that you can use to scroll, it has been super helpful. The internet goes very slow when I need it the most, but the other times it works fine. Another thing that confuses me is how my face can press buttons on my phone while I'm talking on it. Shouldn't it not unlock by itself? And I get really crappy service in the places I am the most such as work, school..

  • Brother if u want hi speed net , then this is a gud phone .. But this phone is not gud in business .. Battery timing is low .. If u call 4 to 5 hour in the day , this is not gud phone .. If u want touch screen phone and battery timing then u should go for Nokia Asha 306 .. His bttry timing is 14 hours .. Which has Wifi and 1.0Ghz ..

  • hello guys i am looking to buy a used handset htc liberty AT&T(good condition), I dont have much knowledge abt the specification. plz suggest me whether to buy this phone or to look some other better phone than this(plz suggest the model if any). plz reply..... it would be a great help to me.....plz

  • 1st one died in 2 weeks, over heated went black and never came back. ATT replaced. Had this one 2 years and I'VE HATED IT EVERY DAY. HTC SUCKS! Will never buy again. Freezes.....have to remove battery and reboot. Some times have to remove battery to end call. Screen blacks out a lot and won't come back. STORAGE ALWAY GETTING LOW. Have 8gb not enough. Only comes w/ 2gb what a joke. Also the computer software to load music and ect is really a pain. Not user friendly. I liked my razor, and I liked my Sony walk man. But hate HTC, next phone will be either Sony, Samsung, or Motorola.

  • hey folks I ve bn using my aria for some few months nw,I want to install Adobe flash player bt all attempts have proven futile. can anybody assist me?

  • i had my Aria for 9 months and it keep saying phone storage space getting low,, it couldnt read the 16GB i installed,, :((

  • hi im one of the htc aria user....and its user friendly..and have alot of features that cant explore enough....thanks for htc for this superb phone.....

  • Superb phone.with lot of fetures.love it

  • hi Im using an htc Aria.when I try make calls dial pad goes black.please tell any one why

  • look for a package called revolutionary its the only way i found to root this phone plus its really simple

  • this fone performance is very bad,.

  • how to move all app from phone to SD card?

  • how can i root my phone

  • You can download Advanced SD Card Manager from the market and you can move all APPS from phone to SD card.

  • You can download from CM7

  • I have an HTC Aria A6366 AT&T unlocked. Where can I get the upgraded rom so that it stays unlocked...? thanks..

  • If you are comfortable with rooting your phone, then you can install 2.3. I have rooted my Aria and I am now running Android 2.3.7 which is the CM7 V7.1.0 ROM.

  • What version of Android are you using? If you are using Android 2.2 (Froyo) or higher, then you can move applications to the SD card. Go to Settings - Manage Applications.

  • Hi did anyone reply your about installing software on the SD card rather than phone memory?

  • why doesn't the phone use the micro SD card for applications? is there a setting for that? pls help!

  • when HTC ARIA for SEA will have a 2.3 update?

  • I have been using the Aria now for about 1.5 years. I got it in the US with an AT&T contract, however, I rooted and unlocked it so that I can use it while traveling in Europe as well. I like the phone's dimensions a lot since it fits easily even in my shirt pocket. If you do not have really large hands you will be very satisfied with the form factor. I installed the latest CM7 ROM Gingerbread and it is performing very well. The major downsides that I see are the battery life and camera quality. I am not a heavy user and do not take pictures or videos that much, so I am fine with it.

  • your reasoning is very bias

  • I have had this phone for over a year now, and use it quite a bit. The battery still lasts me all day and It hasn't let me down yet. Love it :)

  • I've had this phone about a year. I've done system reboots about six or seven times when I randomly stopped receiving text messages, no warnings or anything, just someone asking why I didn't respond to them later. It seems to have a massive memory leak. If it wasn't for this issue, it would be great, but I just had to go buy an out of contract go phone to replace it because I can't take the uncertainty of if I am or am not getting my texts.

  • Are you serious? You bought a HTC Aria in 2011 when the HTC Aria is over a year old. Now you complain that it "freezes" even though you bought a used and abused phone... Yes... this makes a lot of sense.

  • Worst phone I've ever had. Freezes all the time and the battery sucks. Had it for about 9 months. Spending the money and going back to a real phone. iPhone 4S. I'll never cross the bridge again to see what it's like.

  • I have had phone for around 5 months on a $19 p/m plan and it's pretty good! But on some days that I rarely use my phone, it's just on sleep most of the day the battery runs out so much faster. And on other days when I use it often it stays up until like 9pm I found that it's better to let the battery turn orange/red before charging it though, it's better. I would like to root my phone, as I would like more customisation and speed but I don't think I will take that risk yet haha

  • hey i've been using aria for about 4 months now. everything seems fine and okay. i enjoyed using it. but then last month my phone dropped and the glass shattered. i would like to know whether is there any other parts of the phone that is not working properly for those who have dropped their phone. please i really need your help. thanks (:

  • Type *#*#4636#*#* You would get a detailed information about Battery/Network/Roaming as well. "You can Edit as well." Might help you to save some power. Using the phone for last 3days. Good Android device within price range. Only if the battery last longer. Mine Dies in 3.5-4.00 hours of heavy use. Because i think 6hours should be standard time for smart phone. I figured out the Data traffic will kill your battery (if you are using WIFI or EDGE/3G) by 2 hours of using. I am using it in Asian Region, May be in some other region the device might give better battery support. (Wondering)

  • your phone will run much quick if u dont down load too much on it i did that and uninstall a few things now its runs well htc aria is a grate phone only one thing wrong is on camera mode theres no flash but if u need one buy a camera

  • go to settings>applications>Manage applications, from there you can tap any app you want to remove and select uninstall

  • You can root your device and install a custom rom. I am running Gingerbread 2.3.5 on mine and just waiting to see if further updates will come. If they do, then updates... here I come.

  • i cannot upgrade to 2.2 i am not using AT&T network is there another way?

  • my phone storage space is getting low....I dont know how to delete unused files?! Please help!

  • Hello, I m new here, I would like to ask how long for the battery last if standby or running application, eg gps?

  • totally awsome and superb..i only use 2.1 eclair just for 1 week, after that upgrade to 2.2 froyo..much more better..can wait for to upgrade to 2.3..hope soon will be annouce..thanks htc

  • me too

  • yeah...I agree with ChocoWen...I have ben using the ARIA for the last 4 months...as the ammount of messages increases, the phone gets slower...n also its take a lot of time to load other applications as well... is there any solution to this other then deleting the messages? I had to delete ma messages...

  • plz make an update to gingerbread aria..ur r da best aria.. wats the difference between aria and grati a?..

  • No gorilla glass. I just dropped mine and it shattered.

  • Anyone experience lagging on messaging?it takes me few second to load everytime.any solution to it?

  • hi may i know how to download whats app on to htc aria A6380? please let me know as i need to download. thanks. u can email me at [email protected] thanks all!

  • Does anybody know if Aria actually has gorrila glass or not ??

  • I have been using the aria for quite some time and I gotta say it awesome. It compares the the evo and other high end phones, but it has a smaller screen. This is pretty much the only difference. I have cm7 installed on it and it runs quick as hell, and if i overclock it to 806 it goes crazy, but it is not necessary at all to do this. The screen is a little small, but I dont regret getting it since i have no problems with carrying it around in my pocket.

  • Hi, I got gift of my new cell "HTC Aria" by my Brother and he bought it from USA and so much satisfied and inspire of HTC all product that ensure quality and the company well known care about the customers and thier need...and i also apply to jion the HTC Company because after using the HTC Cell phone i can see and understand the company Vision so i m satisfied that i have done little while before. Thank you So much of HTC. Regards Mukhi Ahmed

  • Now I use HTC T3333 and synchronise perfectly office emails and home contacts. I want to know how it compares (i) with the HTC Aria and the HTC Wildfire S generally - not much interested in messaging but need to know if I can write with Greek characters. I think Aria did not come to Cyprus - is it worth buying abroad?

  • ARIA WONT GET GINGERBREAD! How may I help you? 23:55:15 [alex] : np just wondering if or when the htc aria will get gingerbread 23:56:06 [Rhyss] : Our goal is to give every customer the best possible experience on every phone. Every HTC phone is a combination of a unique HTC hardware and software experience and a core operating system. Because of this, we will only update the following phones to Gingerbread: Desire HD, Desire Z, Desire, Evo, Evo Shift, MyTouch 4G, G2, Thunderbolt, Incredible-S, Incredible-S VZW, Incrediblephone.

  • will this phone get a gingerbread update?

  • How can i install all the software on the SD card? because the internal memory is only 128 MB.

  • How can i install all the software on the SD card? because the internal memory is only 128 MB.

  • I bought the HTC Aria about two weeks back, and it is by far the best Phone I have ever had...I am currently using the new Cynogen Mod (7) version instead of the normal android version. Its the best. Try installing the Cynogen Mod (7). It gives u more options and more functions. The only part I feel sad for is, if u want to use the camera in the night time, u go completely blind. Other than that, Iwould give the phone a 9.5 out of a 10.... cheers XD

  • Is the document wiever possible to download for free?

  • HTC released Android 2.2 update for ATT. It can be downloaded from HTC's support site under downloads.

  • I haven't tried it on an unlocked phone but most likely it will lock your phone back to AT&T. If you want your phone to be back with AT&T for some reason, then you can try it. If you want your phone to stay unlocked, then use the Cyanogen Mod and clockworkmod recovery. Just search for it at google. you can also go to unrevoked.com. It will also root your phone giving you ultimate control of your phone.

  • is that update can use for all htc aria phone, i mean unlock phone, not just at&t phone?

  • U may try, these steps are not specifically for Aria, I found it on some HTC forum, So i assume that it is applicable to other HTC phones :)

  • If you are talking about the update, then no. This update is for HTC Aria only. You will have to search for an update specifically made for your HTC phone model.

  • go to greenhills!hahaha

  • is it also work for other HTC phone type?

  • I updated mine to 2.2. It is very good. More effects and wifi sharing and usb tethering was added. Also OTA update was added! It is also faster. You should really do it. iused the official upadate from here; Also download the HTC sync to get drivers install on your computer and go here: This will allow you to install 3rd party apps. Its really easy.

  • For those of u who think that the battery life of aria is poor,u may try these steps: 1)turn on your phone and charge it for 8 hours 2)unplug the phone, turn it off, then charge for another 1 hour 3)unplug the phone, turn it on, wait for 2 minutes, turn it off again, then charge for another 1 hour You will have noticeable increased of battery life. Almost doubled. These are the steps suggested by HTC

  • Phone is great updated it to 2.2 version and can WiFi share and everything, one of the best ATT phones out

  • Anybody tried the update to 2.2? any good? i updated my xperia x10 mini pro & ended up selling it! The update made it slower and much worse..anyone tried the update on the Aria???

  • It is excellent for everything, but poor battery life while browse or running internet active in the phone. HTC liberty also known as Aria I unable to internet share with my laptops because internet sharing option not available. However I used third party software for internet sharing. But Low speed.

  • your perfectly correct!

  • this is one of the best phone i had ever!

  • ...love this phone...mmmwwahhh! =0

  • @Larylls well.. it does have a nice design, good features but: -a poor 1200 mAh battery, -only a 600 mHz processor -no camera flash.. although you don't need that, -and a rather small screen, but if your're looking for that.. just GO FOR IT! :D

  • I've had the HTC Aria for about two weeks, and am already sick of it. When in a call, you can't press it against your ear or else it pushes buttons on the touch screen. Also, if you recieve a text message or email while in the call, it rings as it normally would if you weren't in a call. The volume is also an issue. It seems impossible to change the volume of your calls. I can never hear what people are saying because it is so quiet. I'm sure there are settings to change these problems, but I haven't found them yet. In conclusion, I do not recommend this phone as I am very unhappy with it.

  • nice

  • May I know whats the weakness of this phone??Im thinking of getting one this month..Thanks friends

  • Yes, its true. You can't install third party apps, but if you root your phone like I did, you can. For example, I installed swype on my HTC Aria, which you can't do with an AT&T HTC Aria.

  • I think it's a decent phone, but you cant hear anything when people call. Is there a way to make it louder when you receive a call? Other than that. its great.

  • aria has multitouch? compare with Xperia x10, which better?

  • Hi, I've been looking at the edge above the earpiece. It looks as if it could be uncomfortable to have it pressed to the ear. How do you, who use the phone, experience this? Is it a problem like on the Legend? Thanks, Lage

  • is it possible to download android 2.3 into the htc aria?

  • It's Htc Aria.Almost like Htc mini.Aria is using android rather than windows

  • My htc aria just started to vibrate and flash its not turning on or off I had to take the battery out to get it off. Each time it flashes the htc comes up but thats all. Can someone please tell me what is wrong with my phone?

  • im from malaysia..used htc aria for a week..suprisingly,it was too great for a small phone..android os really have it all what people need..camera is great, can download tons of apps,games..internet browsing and downloading is way too fast, like using a laptop..never regret im not buying htc desire:)love htc aria!

  • i beg to differ as i own a htc legend and have faced the problem of the call getting cut while pulling it outta my pocket as the screen gets an upward sliding motion as you remove it. its not so much of a problem but i have to now be careful while removing it from my pocket while its ringing.

  • its not available in our country because it not affordable.. why do htc build a celpone with such a expensive one.. and the 1 month or 2 it will depreciate so easily... darnnn

  • The Htc wildfire, what an amazing phone it is i would pick the HTC wildfire over any other wildfire phone anyday.

  • i would suggest you to buy this phone..android OS that running in this phone comes with more apps than the HD mini ones

  • hi guys, can u tell me that this fone is available in india or not? and what would be price around?

  • @Jessie What are you talking about? Every phone breaks if you drop it... and I've never had a call denied by pulling the phone out of my pocket. I've actually never heard of ANYONE who has done that. Go buy an iPhone fanboy. And what is all this "social internet is free" junk? I don't know what that means... but you're paying a monthly fee for data. Nothing is free. If you go over that you get charged extra. And the "always downloading updates"? AT&T has never pushed an over-the-air (OTA) update to this phone. It's never updating. Your argument is invalid. I think this is a case of an ignorant consumer blaming the manufacturer for their own faults. This phone is great for someone stuck to AT&T and wanting some Android love. In my opinion this is the best Android phone on AT&T (so far), simply because HTC's build quality and Sense UI are better than Samsung and TouchWiz. The phone is gorgeous. It has nice design touches with the fake screws on the back panel and the soft-touch case that doesn't pick up fingerprints. The screen is crisp and bright. It's also good for those who don't want a gigantic phone that barely fits in a pocket. It's compact, fast, and works spectacularly well out of the box. I have mine rooted and running Android 2.3 (Gingerbread, the newest version of Android), and it's the best phone I've ever used.

  • it is HD mini,is`nt it????

  • I heard with AT&T you can't install 3rd party applications on the phone. But what if I have an unlocked AT&T phone. Will I be able to install 3rd party applications with that?

  • Yes,thank you. It's very useful to know that if you drop it ,it will broke...I couldnt imagine that by myself.

  • Hi there SOSmonster, I'm sorry but I've had an iPhone before and have also used an iPhone 4 before and about 25 other phones but have not ever received such problem as these phones offer to me. If you think my opinion isn't helpful - good, I don't care. I blame it on the phone that can bring a person's bill to $594 when they have only used social internet which is free in the phone's contract. Apparently it's the updates the phone does all the time, I have not changed the settings at all, kept it as it is how I bought it. It has to be some sort of updates that was already setted up because this is my experience and I find it ridiculous. Maybe it'll be useful to other people since they want to hear what others think, experience and say. Thanks.

  • I broke the glass on my htc aria. i bought a replacement at durapowerglobal.com

  • Also, you whinge because you accidentally touch the "deny" button and it hangs up on people. Better work on your hand-eye coordination if you plan on using touchscreens in the future, because this is the case with every touchscreen that has ever existed. So your big cry is pretty unfounded.

  • Hi Jessie. You're probably the most stupid poster I've ever seen. First phone you've ever dropped, and it's broken. Make a logical connection, if that is possible for you to do. Read the GSMarena article since you've bothered to visit this website. iPhone4 has the highest insurance claim rateof all phones, because it is paneled on both sides with glass, and this makes it more likely to slip also. Speaker placement doesn't matter if your phone is in a pocket or handbag. So don't understand your reasoning (if any) here.

  • Right now im choosing between wildfire and Aria which 1 should i get!

  • Right now im choosing between wildfire and Aria which 1 should i get!

  • Please everyone, don't bother with this phone, it's a piece of ****. I dropped it twice and the whole screen has completely broke as if a car ran it over. First phone in my life that I've ever dropped and laters, waste of money. Clear crystal cases don't even work well with these things, only silicone cases work. Think about it, if it drops when it's got silicone case on it'll break regardless. I don't know if I've got the rights to complain to HTC but damn, I'm so pissed off. Might as well buy an iPhone and perhaps it wouldn't fall because it just stays on your hand, whereas this little thing just slips off. My hands are small enough to hold the phone nicely yet, it still slips apart =.=" and when you get a phone call and you pull it out of your pocket, it pretty much hangs up if you accidentally touch the deny button. Also, since the speaker is at the back, if the phone rings and your pocket or bag is blocking the sound, you can't hear it ring. However, for iPhones you can hear it because the speaker is on the bottom, so nothing is blocking the volume. Now I have to waste money looking for another phone after having this stupid thing for 1 month and a bit.

  • Does anyone knows when this set will be available in India? Even after this model has been released to market 6 months before, still it is not available in India . If anyone bought this mobile from India, please share your thoughts about this mobile and where you have purchased ?

  • Hey guys..froyo should make the phone faster in performance right? But why mine got slower? ? Need help..

  • Planning to buy a HTC Mobile next week. Which one is better HTC Aria/ HTC Wilfire. I am bit confusion between these two models. Need to know the camera quality/battery performance and others between these two models ? Looking forward your genuine comments so that I can take a wise decision...

  • is AT&T restriction works on any country?? or only in US version?? need help.. :)

  • I prefer htc aria than lg optimus one it looks much better than lg optimus one with the same specification

  • Ive owned an Aria for about 2 months now. Im a big guy so its kinda tiny for me, but i love the phone. The 600mhz processor is more than enough speed for what i do. Never have a problem (even with "high end" games). I've rooted my phone to have Froyo 2.2 on it and i added the 2.3 gingerbread keyboard recently. The phone is awesome IMO, i dont need another phone for a good long while.

  • htc AriA or LG opTimus one ..!! help nyone ... thnx in aDvance nd meRRy x'MAs : )

  • How is the reception on the HTC Aria...everyone is talking about the apps but as a phone how is it?

  • diz handset is awesome.. android 2.1 with htc sense makes it great classic phone.. luv my htc aria it have every thing what a smart phone should have. the only cons of the phone is can't install non market/ third party apps.. AT&T's restrictions.. really sucks.. the phone is pocketable, small, nibble n great performance.. luv it.!!

  • This is th coolest tiny device ever; very good rating from me.

  • hey could this phone install need for speed shift? twitter me at brenty18

  • Yes it is a GSM phone, a decent android phone for AT&T you do need an iPhone level data plan however ( AT&T at least)

  • Is the technology used GSM????

  • htc aria the best phone.

  • other than the look( i think aria looks way more classy than the wildfire), which is a personal preference, the wildfire has 528MHz Qualcomm MSM7225 processor,Qualcomm MSM7227 600 MHz CPU so the processor is already better! The aria is newer ( was released at least two months after the wildfire)& the camera works gr8, and be honest the flash doesnt really help..i had many Nokias with Karl zeiss optics cameras(they kick most of htc's cameras butt!) and it is always the same..the camera is great outdoor...or when there is real light indoor(as in hotels and so) but with low light..it doesn;t really help..even when it does make the pic a little bit brighter, u still get a gloomy odd pic that u cant really see even on a comupter! the bad thing is the battery, but if u turn off auto sync among other stuff things get a little bit better!

  • u cant ask advice about that..coz down to these 2 it is just personal preferences!i mean u like big screens or smaller ones?the small one on the aria doesnt affect performance at all IMO, but some ppl like it big!personally i dont like apple when it comes to phones...they do great ones but i just dont like em! i tried both phones, and the aria does alll what the iphone does with more apps, ability to set ANY mp3 as a ringtone, more organisation to ur programs and apps (IMO), it just seems a more flexible iphone with some extras at a lower price for me!

  • buy htc aria or wildfire

  • wildfire is best

  • wildfire wildfire wildfire wildfire is best...no flash in aria and battery sucks

  • wildfire is better...battery life is gud.and have camera flash.aria lacks flash

  • i need advice! i'm getting a new phone, but am undecided between iphone4 or htc aria. please help!!

  • its not gonna get ferio cos theres no such thing but itll get FROYO ;) either december or january-FEB latest marc

  • its just the hd mini but with android

  • Battery is quite a downfall, may as well consider buying a secondary battery to back up incase. Besides that I have to turn brightness and everything off. It would last alright, still kinda useless if the social applications aren't as great as the iPhones. I want my iPhone back cause I can't really browse eBay and all the applications much anymore

  • when this phone gets the update to android 2.2 ferio ?

  • non-market apps* i mean !!

  • does the screen resolution of wildfire blocks apps? and att&t on aria blocks market apps!!- any solution fr it?

  • nice phone.........only drawback is battery. it works for continues 4 hrs in internet

  • @dev: The Wildfire has a 528 MHz Processor, and it doesn't really cause lag in flash content unless the graphic content is very high.

  • My friend has set passcode for his home phone. When using the Aria to dial his number, I enter the passcode but there is no response. However, when using other type of phone to dial in and enter passcode, it works. Is there any setting in the Aria that need to be adjusted?

  • thus 438 mhz CPU of Wildfire ristricts flash player 10 ? i guess Aria with 600 mhz cpu do support it ?

  • papago?

  • to: shane i had the same problem, i eventually had to replace the phone at the store. i originally thought it was certain apps that caused the problem, but customer service said it to be a common problem with the aria.

  • Aria is great... I don't have any problem with it...

  • Can I know how to install PAPAGO on HTC Aria?

  • Unfortunately the HTC Aria is not designed for the implementation of Flash in the new FROYO 2.2 The phone is a great phone just not powerful enough for it. If you looking for full flash operation try another phone such as the desire. If you want more answers try out this site.

  • go to android market through your phone. you can download many apps there

  • Please can anyone tell me what third party application can run java files on an andriod phone and how do i get this application?

  • 3 days after purchasing the htc aria the touch screen decided not to work !everything is frozen, ive tied taking the battery out and restarting it but nothing seems to work! anyone have this problem

  • It is ok not wearing any screen protector on Aria? It was bit annoyed wearing one coz my Aria also wear the silicon case. Can the default screen protect the phone from scratches?

  • After using HTC Aria for 1 week, the weakest point is its battery. I set its system to connect to my 9 social networking apps + 4 weather report, I found that the battery went to 70% in 4 hours then I made some calls for 30min the battery down to 60%. Conclusion: good for a person who have 1-2 social network account(s) and not make too much calls.

  • Menu>Settings>Wireless&networks>Mobile network/Mobile networks

  • when i text it vibrates how can i shut that off?

  • Why is always that the Htc launch same mobile such as wildfire, aria, gratia etc .

  • Hey guys ....can any one can let me know. how to turn on the 3G mode for the HTC aria??? cant using Vodafone data. Thanks

  • I love Aria and I fully recomended this phone.. Even it stated that the camera don't have flash but it works great even in the dimmed room, you just have to set the camera setting and scroll the contrast to the lowest -3. And Taaadaaaa!!!.. it works great with no flash. I've install PAPAGO on Aria and it works great too.. no legging, just install the apps killer and you'll save more on you battery. Why look into the tiny negative thing when there's a lot of positive thing in this phone...??

  • hey it wont have an affect if u use it in the u.s.a

  • Help! Should I get this one or wildfire will do? ARIA or WILDFIRE? pleaseeeeee....

  • When is it going to be available in India? Waiting ever since its launch!! Will it now come with Froyo? Should i buy this or do for Legend - like whats the price difference?

  • at 1st i wanted to buy tis phone but i didn't cuz it dun hav flash, type colour is low and the battery is lousier than wildfire.. so i decided to switch 2 wildfire.. but the advantages for choosing this phone than wildfire is becuz aria has better processor, better colour resolution, lighter and thinner ... other than tat, sadly it doesn't has like AMOLED screen, better ram and much better processor.. not much difference if u compare to wildfire, but the price is much more expensive than wildfire..

  • I'm from Brazil and got my Aria in Taipei... I'm very happy with it. As it was unblocked, it recognized my Brazilian operator as soon as I inserted the SIM card. the display and touch are great. faster wifi than my old HTC Touch. Android is also great, easy to use, many free apps to download. just 2 concerns: battery life is shorter than I expected... after full charge, using during the day with wifi on, 3G and GPS off, at night only remains around 20% of the power, what makes me recharge it again over the night. other point is that it only has English and Chinese languages. I have no problem with menu and commands, but T9 is in English. Now I looking for an app to change this, just got Smart Keyboard and Portuguese Dictionary, but still not working properly. I'll keep trying... GPS also works fine, but it is a power eater... (no news)

  • hi, can i know how is the battery life? is it better than wildfire??

  • Hi I want to buy this phone; But have 2 questions: 1-What is the deference between "Aria and Legend" which one is better? 2-I'm not in U.S. and then cant use AT&T services! Some of my friend told me if I buy this phone I actually pay for AT&T services and it's not economical He said if it's for example 350 euro; Its real cost is 300 euro and 50 is for AT&T; Is that true?

  • get the bb bold 9700 ,..,,17k indian rupee

  • hey guys i like this mobile & also wildfire... my budget is not more than 17000..then what should i do?? plz tell me..

  • You paid £280 for a counterfeit device? It does sound very cheap... They clearly saw you coming.

  • what is the minimum range of htc? does it have good sound?

  • no optus is!

  • Got one of these shipped to me in UK yesterday for a very cheap price (£280) and I'm delighted with it. It's an unbranded, vanilla device shipped from HK and I'm a little perplexed why the chinese language settings never seem too far away (does support English, thankfully) but it's working on Vodafone with GSM, 3G and HSDPA happily. The android OS works smoothly without, going into tedious detail, I'm chuffed with it. Only complaint so far is that the back cover is bizarrely difficult to remove!

  • Wildfire's screen resolution is way too small...

  • better jump to wildfire it's with flash n processor is 528 but aria is 600 i'm havin wildfire it rocks!!,,..

  • check out the new line of desires at: they are really nice :D

  • This phone is amazing, beats my ex HTC Touch2 hands down, Android is the way to go, particularly on XT Telecom here in New Zealand. No need for apps yet, just a great phone, text great on landscape. This is like my Audi - beautifully made, great form and function, and is damned fast.

  • Can somebody tell me about the availabilty in India?Especially in Mumbai, Delhi....Also the price.. Awaiting your valuable reply... Thanks in advance

  • Mr Ling.. U r so tech challenged, nowadays all u need is software to check stocks (called widgets) I have htc desire and it comes with a widget to check stocks. but im sure there will be many apps in the android market to do this as well.. free of charge!! Tell all those who say that only blackberry can do that to raise their tech know hows

  • I bought this fone in HK (fortress HK) for 3,200 HK dollars = roughy 320 Canadian dollars... works well with my cdn network. this fone was designed for the asian market and the americas however its bloody expensive in the U.S. .. very satisfied with the fone for my use, Music vids, movies etc for travelling, no more caes to hand carry (ipad)...depending on ytour usage, this fone is really practical... by the way, i use my trusted BB for email (Rim), Text and calls...

  • I heard some sucky thing about aria, that you can only download/buy apps from andriod marks. So that means you can't download apps from other sites. But this thing is only for AT&T i think, but i think it aint available anywhere else. Hope it will come to europe this year.

  • Halo everone here, may I know all the HTC users... Pls tell me dat tis phone can see live quote STock share ? Ppl say only blackberry phone got provide tis function only, but I more like HTC den blackberry.thanks..

  • Hey Guys.. . i think GSM arena got little mess with spec.. Especially with Sensors * G-Sensor * Digital compass ...They missed it on the spec details. Its fully available on HTC Aria... U can check them on the official htc website...if u want to... I've seen some of u guys worrying about this... Dont worry... be happy... Its there..

  • Hi this phones Introductory price was 6K but now it costs 15K WTH!!! i went 2 buy thinking its 6K i was bluffed!!!

  • read the review! But one off the top diferences is the screen reulation. Legends hits higher on that.

  • Hi, just got my aria. Facing wifi connection problem, can't detect although place in front of the wifi router. Pls help!!!

  • Availability in Philippines? only wildfire was available here....

  • It's just that Aria is way too cute... :)

  • Legend has a uni-body aluminum casing, with that you know that you'll be getting a well-built Android device.

  • htc aria is btr or htc legend can tell me this two difference??..thx``

  • Hey where did u gind aria in delhi?

  • where did u get this info from? theres no official word about its availability in india..

  • Aria Screen supports Multitouch(Pinch to Zoom)Capability. If you don't believe me go to HTC Asia/America official website it is clearly mentioned in specs & it also have compass. If u either nor satisfied go to youtube, there are many video reviews of aria which prove this.

  • As per Aria's specification, it doesn't have Multi-touch input method.

  • Resolution isn't everything of a screen. Aria's screen has only 256K colour. That means each pixel can show 256000 different colours. Where as Wildfire's screen can produce 16 million different colours.

  • No, it's standard TFT LCD Touch Screen.

  • is this amoled screen?

  • yes it as multitouch capability & Aria screen resolution is far better than wildfire.I'm very disappointed if HTC Aria not coming to India.

  • Does it have a multitouch functionality

  • Also Aria doesn't have Digital Compass, LED flash and Facebook integration like Wildfire. Aria's back cover looks ugly. So Wildfire is the best.

  • No. in term of screen, Wildfire has 16M colours where as Aria has only 256K colors. So wildfire's picture looks far more vivid than Aria.

  • for me, HTC Aria is much better than HTC Wildfire because of this two major reasons: 1. HVGA resolution 2. 600 Mhz Processor Finally, HTC Aria is now unlocked not for AT&T only. Although Aria has no camera flash, picture quality is great on 5 mp camera

  • Can anybody tell me HTC wildfire is better or HTC Aria from Sound, resolution point of view. I want to buy any one of this.

  • Will it be available in India? I think its available with only contract from AT&T. You can see the symbol on the phone. If its avaiable, and price is around 15,000 then i think its worth to buy. What do you people think?

  • although both are mid range android phones, aria has better hvga res(wildfire has qvga),aria has faster 600mhz processor(wildf has 528).it depends on u which styling u prefer.aria is lacking only in the flash, otherwise they're similar as bros.

  • I agree, nobody ever uses the front camera. I hardy ever used mine because firstly, it depends on how many of your friends also have fones with the same feature. Secondly it depends on how much you actually like them anyway, because in my country for example, a video call costs twice as much as a voice call. And third, even if your friends have them and you ARE willing to pay double, your friend may not be in a convenient position to have a video call. He or she may be on the move or don't have their headset and are in a noisy area or don't have good 3g coverage in that are and the fone has reverted to 2g. Manufacturers seem to be abandoning front cameras, even on feature fones. The networks failed to sell video calls.

  • its a mini with android os

  • Are u sure about it's price, just 17500 INR.I think its cost will not going below 20000.if u r sure i will definitely buy Aria.

  • Sony Ericsson C902

  • which one the best, aria or legend.,.,

  • four screws at the bottom...so ugly...

  • 17500 in india........ ant it ll come in two weeks to the indian market....

  • I used the front camera on a mobile twice since 2004 and dont know ANYONE who use front camera even to check their hair or face..It certainly would not influence my decision on a fone..,

  • no, it doesn't

  • Does Aria comes with camera flash like legend?

  • Yes, there's an app called Documents To Go. Free to view (word, excel, powerpoint), $14.99 to edit. Here's a link (to the free, view-only version)

  • Difference is screen!

  • HTC includes MS office docs viewer and PDF viewer. If you want to edit MS office docs, you'll need to buy a 3rd-party application like Docs-to-go. Not aware of a PDF editor for Android.

  • Hi guys, Can nebody comment on India price & availibility? Some of u have talked about owning it, where did u get it in India & for how much?

  • Every android phone can view excel, doc, etc. And they have apps for that to

  • Every android phone can view excel, doc, etc. And they have apps for that to

  • Hey Guys...does this mobile have MS office tools application..I mean can we view and edit word, excell, and PDF docs in it???

  • I own this phone and I will say that this phone is GREAT!!! The performance of this phone will surprise you, it surprised me. My friend has an HTC Desire and we both opened tons of apps comparing the phones and they ran nearly identical (speed wise). I love the size and the screen is a lot better in person than the specs say. Don't let the spec sheet fool you, this is true performer. Also, I see it as very funny how a lot of people are making a BIG deal out of phone not having front facing cameras just because the iPhone finally got one. Many many phones have had front facing cameras for many years, then, no one made a big deal about it...now some see it as a major fail that a phone doesn't have one, that's just silly.

  • What is the Difference Between Aria and WildFire??

  • Is it true that this phone cost only RS 7000 pls reply and check this out

  • I have sold hundreds of these phones & the feedback that I have received from my customers was great. I too have used this phone for a month and it was a great experience. The web browser and the camera were really great

  • I have bought this last week and it is comparably nice because it is small (easily fits into pants pocket) and nice.

  • It cost in new delhi is about rs 14,000

  • Hi, Does anyone know that if it is possible to view (or maybe edit) office applications like excel and word? Also if it is possible to view pdf docs? Thanks

  • Looks ike its built into a case - is that because it has the same issues as the iphone 4?

  • My, that is quite expensive. What is the price for AP set?

  • Is it available in mumbai?

  • can any one tel me wat is da price of dis fone in india

  • its available in taiwan now

  • It is OUT in Malaysia today onwards: RM1799... SIS Malaysia 2 yrs warrant...

  • I think you can use the 2G capability in the Philippines but not the 3G since it is using American bandwidth range... I would love to have the Aria available in Asia as well.. :D

  • Can enyone tell me how much cost this phone in euro!!??

  • can i use this in Philippines?

  • This phone is way better than any iphone ive used, it fits in my pocket just perfect, the only cons that i find r no led flash, and battery life could be better, other than that this phone is a 10/10........great android !!!!

  • This is the kinda phone you need when you hit the town www.myspace.com/tianaspotlight

  • There is something better than iPhone4 Try the HTc touch Pro 2. It has everything and you can download anything else you need for free without paying for it !!! Plus you get a good screen, Keyboard, Two cameras-so you can video phone, which has taken iPhone forever, and it's sturdy and can hot swap your memory...I could go on but why bother...you all have your favourites so just go and buy what you wish and stop wingeing.

  • Do you know this from experience, or are you just a shill? I've read reviews on the iphone 4 and Samsung captivate, both with lots of glass, and neither cracked from a 3-4 ft fall. I don't think HTC is stupid enough to use inferior glass on their products, but feel free to prove me wrong.

  • or you could just always know which way is which, instead or constantly relying on a phone to be smarter than you.

  • This phone is extremely fagile. Drop once and it will crack. No hard shell covers to help this either

  • HTC Aria is one of the best Android phones in the market!

  • Simply it's HD MINI ported to Android

  • it do have the digital compass

  • Also, most probably it doesn't have G-sensor too. Though it's not that important, but it's fun of course. Accelerometer sensor & G-sensor aren't same thing. HTC Wildfire has both Accelerometer & G-sensor, and also digital compass.

  • No digital compass? Then it's missing one of the best phone feature. You can use gps with google map, but you won't notice which direction is what.

  • i dont think so. the next scheduled htc/android release from telstra will be the wildfire. pretty sure telstra are set to announce that next month some time.

  • The rugged look on this phone is awesome! The screws and all, makes it seem solid and not plasticky at all. Love it. This is definitely a phone for a guy.

  • end up what phone u choice? i using vivaz now... but always hang.... so bad...actually i waiting iphone 4.. but many comment for this phone... so i should choice another brand

  • What's with those huge screws at the back? They make the phone look so ugly!

  • this is one of the coolest phone i have ever used .. i was thinking abt milestone .. but when i saw this one and felt it by my hand .. i didn't find any difference with my ipod touch .. infact in some sectors this is faster ..

  • Is it really true that Telstra in Australia will be releasing HTC Aria? Or is GSMArena wrong?

  • Exactly! I'm also disappointed like you, no front cam! shit I like so much all the HTC phones and I wait and wait but they never release a phone with front camera! I know for someone could be useless, but for many like me that need to do a lot of video call, I have to choose another brand :-(...

  • hey can i buy this fone from the site u mentioned and unloack it and use it in india????

  • who's that backlashing HTC achievements? I love everything about this phone...and to all the fellas out there...the phone was developed for call sharing..and later integrated with cameras, music, videos for our piece of mind...so lets not engross over and and complain...well if my good fella calls HTC shit and Iphone something..then you should turn the pages and see the variability of products offered by HTC in compared to only 3 models from Iphone...both have their goodness and something to nudge about...so stop bickering!!!

  • Is this almost similar to HTC Wildfire? Seems like HTC Aria is the Android version of HTC HD Mini, while HTC Wildfire is the mini version of HTC Desire.

  • no big difference than HD, why should i buy this? i cant believe HTC is not producing something better than iphone. i used to say iphone is peace of sh it but no my bro bought it and its a lot better than HTC. iphone is quality. this is an HTC HD user saying these. so truest me.

  • @carstun how could u have this fone a year ago when it was only announced and released this year. and wats soluble in water and petrol got to do with anything.

  • Bah! no front cam!

  • i bought it 1 year ago. its the most fatigue phone in the antartica. as it is the too much diffuseable that it is not soluble in petrol against water.

  • what is this capacitive screen and a 1200mah battery.

  • can this phone be used in asian countries??? unlocked version may be.....but is it available???

  • itz amazing how android is taking over da market

  • can i buy HTC Aria in sweden ???

  • I don't know exactly what they call 'secondary camera' but I assume it when a phone have the lens at the front and back. I don't have the Aria [as yet] but the lastest one that I have is the HTC Touch Diamond 2...Which does have that feature. slide to camera, click the cam, click the icon that brings the menu, click the wheel and then click camera..hope this helps

  • I'm pretty sure EVERY phone on this site is gsm.

  • htc, like sony ericsson, don't like to incorporate secondary camera on their phone but i believe they will do so in their next models because iphone have secondary camera on their iphone 4. copycat. at least nokia and samsung always have this features on their smartphone even though they also are just copying iphone design and features.

  • the aria is a gsm phone it is already out on the AT&T network

  • I am wondering why HTC does not incorporate secondary video call camera in their so-called 3g smartphones. That is one of the main reasons I have never considered a HTC phone. If they do not know how to include in their design, then they should go and learn it. I hope they incorporate it in their future phones, otherwise it is a no no. I hope they are not copying the Apple iphone meanness and poor design.

  • is aria gonna be GSM phone...probably not right?hmmm

  • This is the best phone i have had for yearsssss..I been using this phone for 5 days now and I gotta say WOW!..Cant asking for anything better... perfect touch screen very responsive..the size is perfect..plenty of useful apps to download... interface is great....the only negative thing I can say about this phone is the BATTERY life...need to charge at least twice a day if you use it constantly for internet, music, ect.. Just a suggestion..order directly from HTC web site..which is letstalk.com...i only paid $60 bucks with 2yr upgrade..Much better than Iphone..cant bet that deal...Highly Recommended!!

  • a nice slick design its got very nice touch screen and theme

  • where is battery flap?

  • just order the htc snap hope it doz not dissapoint me bt iv heard great reviews abt it so far so i have my fingers crossed. so wat i wnted to knw is dat, is it complicated to use?

  • yea i completely agree with u..at&t needs to get their .... straighted or their gonna loose their company. cuz ppl really go were they hav better deals.

  • At&t is getting the Crappy version of HTC Phones. and the reason is because At&t sued HTC and HTC Won. And At&t Pissed of Google By Putting Yahoo Serch on a Android Phone (Backflip).Seriously. Come on At&t How Stupid Can You Get. So That's What You Get For Messing with HTC & Google

  • where is the evo

  • compare it with desire. you will see at&t is providing just basic phone.

  • so I wonder how many of the idiotic comments in here are from people who actually have had hands on experience with this phone. I have had this phone for 3 days now and I must say I am extremely impressed with it. I like the form factor design of it, very pocket-able. Extremely smooth on the navigation in regards to scrolling. Browser is IMO better than Iphones, and yes I owned a Iphone for a # of years. The camera is good but could be improved with the addition of led flash. Screen clarity is fantastic and the 360X480 resolution does real well on this phone granted not the 480X800 that I have with my Droid but it gets the job done. Performance wise this phone is excellent and every one that has picked my phone up has been impressed. Battery life is mediocre but it could improve yet with more charging cycles. All in all this is a incredible phone especially for the 129.99 price.

  • so what where's the HTC EVO?

  • we want qwerty keyboard. we want to press the button. or perchance you can upgrade HTC s710,s740,s730,tilt2,tytn2, and my favourate HTC TOUCH PRO,etc we love you htc but please hearken to us.by the way,we are enjoying world cup here in SOUTH AFRICA.

  • it is imperative to know that HTC needs to know that we are not all interested in touch screen. all this latest phones are all touch screen. no wonder why E series and N series and blackberry are doing well in market.

  • im sick and tired of same disigner take a look at Aria, google nexus one, wildfire, desire, smart, hero, etc we want new management full of life and creativity. htc fan from SOUTH AFRICA

  • The phone came out June 21st. I have already placed an order. I really hope this turns out to be an awesome phone!

  • thanks for your reply, i actually messed with the phone at the att store here. it has two qwerty layouts and a number keypad. seems like a nice phone for an att phone.

  • You should check what 3G is... then check video conference... you might have them mixed up :)

  • This comes with a qwerty keyboard =)

  • Are u serious? 3G is not only used for video conversations einstein.

  • htc touch cruise has a secondary camera. and a pretty good one

  • what's the use of having 3G in the phone if you don't have secondary camera..... none of htc phones have secondary camera....

  • Yes you can!

  • does this have qwerty? cant find anything about the keyboard or texting.

  • ok, so wats new on this phone? Is this just a variant of previous model, or there is sumting unique feature?

  • can i use this phone in sri lanka

  • a good looking htc legend for AT&T,, i like the design alot especially the back cover,,

  • desire is better :D In specifications

  • Of course i would surely prefer for HTC to release it officially to Europe, so there is no need for unlocking etc, and have a phone without that AT&T logo, and most important without all that software messing around from AT&T such as AT&T apps that cannot be removed or the fact that you can't install unsigned third-party apps. Please HTC, will you release this phone to Europe?

  • Well it's compatible with the all the GSM bands here in Europe (GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900), the only thing is that you 'll gonna have to unlock it (AT&T simlock)... But i 'm sure that won't be an issue...

  • so u can buy this phone from America and it will work in Europe?

  • I wonder what would be the difference between this and the TC Wildfire in price terms - this looks to have a better CPU (600 vs 528 MHz) and a higher res screen (320x480 than 240x320) but at a lower color quality (256K vs 16M).

  • Aria will be able to come to Europe... In contrary with Evo 4G (which is CDMA), Aria is a GSM phone... We can either buy it from an ATT reseller, or wait for HTC to officially release it for Europe...

  • I have watched a LOT of video's about this phone and it looks great......I can't wait to see it in person.... I may be the only person going from an I Phone to something else.....Having a lighter phone where you can replace the battery, would really be a plus and it does seem to have some cool features, also
