HTC Desire 650 - User Reviews

  • I'am a light user , but this phone is great , I upgraded from a Samsung Galaxy Y Young Duos Could not be happier , also so has 2 year warranty

  • I had very bad experiences with this Co. Bought this because of camera quality but camera stop working in warrenty period. After I got it repaired it again stop working . I have to pay 4000

  • My HTC Desire has also bit the dust after less than a year. It switches off when it feels like it, won't turn back on, or charge. When operating, it gets so hot you could use it at football matches in January, in Aberdeen, to warm your hands. Finally, it has started striping out functionality. Batter was also very poor. Not a good buy.

  • Rubbish device would NOT RECOMEND I have gone through three of these devices due to a manufacture fault of where if using in hot weather the screen expands and cracked this was brought to the attention of HTC officials them selves they sent multiple device of the 650 to see if it happens again still got my third hand has happened to it to except this time the screen did not Flood with battery fluid but still think this is a major problem the battery is rubbish graphics are crap and overall just a bad device that has better software but rubbish design. PLEASE DO NOT BUY AS IT IS A DANGEROUSE DEVICE.

  • Nice phone design but features, software and above all root use terrible. Wish I never got this phone. iPhones are better than this useless prices of plastic and glass

  • This is a terrible phone. The battery doesn’t last much. In stand by last no more than 6 hrs. If you use the phone it last 2 hrs. If battery reaches 40 percent it might turn off. The phone is normally very hot and it needs t8 hours to recharge fully if is it off. Sound is terrible. Connectivity random. Bluetooth works terrible. Looses the configuration quite often.

  • Can't see why people beat up on this handset, for me it works flawlessly has a good camera and I like the design as it looks a bit different from the run of the mill slabs, battery is ok but for the heavy user I wouldn't recommend I guess I fall under the light user so suits me well.

  • This is a phone that's (mainly) for emerging markets

  • Internal Storage Create Ringtone folder and you like ringtones transfer to it.

  • Have to say I was a little skeptical about getting one of these and I finally bit the bullet and got one and its great, chose this because the design is different to the normal Iphone lookalikes these days and wanted something different, I am quite satisfied with it.

  • Even the HTC one from 2014 is better than this garbage... HTC is really taking a step in the wrong direction with the way they make their phones.

  • I had this phone in June. The one with the bigger battery and stuff is an improvement over the one pictured since it had a Snapdragon 400 Which are old CPU's for a phone and even a Pentium 4 Can outrun it in the performance sector. The improved one that has the middle camera has a Mediatek CPU as far as i know. The Snapdragon 400 Version has many issues such as a bad battery life, Laggy UI. Until HTC Stops making phones with promises such as 2 year Update cycles and then not bringing an update at all. All these phones they made in the Desire series aren't good at all. If you need a budget phone then get any Samsung J Or A Series device or even a 1 or 2 year old S Series and shove a new rom on it. An A5 2017 Is good or an LG G6 Or q6

  • This phone has a surprisingly good camera! My daily phone is an HTC 10 but when I went on holiday to South Africa I was scared to lose it and got an HTC Desire 650 to use there to take photos and use for Whatsapp. Well I was so impressed! This Desire 650 took clear, colourful photos that really popped! It worked well as an all rounder and I hardly ever brought out the HTC 10 as the 650 was just as capable and quite rugged without having to have a case on. So I would say that this is the perfect holiday phone or backup phone.

  • first u create a folder named as ringtones. then add ur fav. mp3 then see ur system ringtone list. it will appear there. enjoy

  • I have that too.

  • This is by far my worst buy ever, I got the Mexican Telcel one, full with bloatware, the unit warms up all the time (just by using waze and whatsapp) Battery does not load or does not like "non original cables". The interface is oughfull. Even my 2004 Android Motorola is better. Thus, there is no open source software to remove the bloatware. Never buy Carrier phones in Mexico, you do not own them even if they are unlocked. Hate it!

  • I've just bought one, but it's totally different , it's got 3gb ram and 32 gb memory and 3000 mAh battery with the rear camera in the center and the speaker on the down side . And I've got an issue with the second sim, you can' dial any numbers with it and it only can receive calls

  • battry percentag is not showing....disappointing

  • i purchased HTC desire 650 ,but i can't import photo & video from mobile to pc.

  • Hi folks I too using the 3 gb ram 3000mah battery camera placed in front and speaker placed at bottom next charger port it's an imported mobile

  • how are the speakers and display? how long the battery stay with you?

  • how is the speakers and display???

  • my pre-paid sim is not working in this mobile.I don't know why what's wrong with this ??

  • HTC desire 650 dual sim mobile is slim and stylish but i can't change the ringtones for our songs or mp3 (only system ringtones) and front speaker sound is very low. specially i can't listen whatsapp voice notes. not expected this from HTC. really disappointed.

  • Which one is better HTC Desire 650 32gb with 3gb ram or Lenovo k6 Note

  • The sound is very faint, not at all what I was expecting from an HTC.

  • Snapdragon 400 is over 2years old, runs hot and slow. Its horrible to be used in a low or mid range phone now.

  • In addition to that, my battery is 3000Mah and the camera lens is in the middle, not on the side.

  • The wiki said it has 2200mah, but my magazine (malaysia magazine) said that it has 3000mah, I am confused

  • Had this phone for 1 month now. I had a windows phone before this and had problems with crashing so am now trying to get used to Android again. I actually like this one, it's easy to use, is lightweight and a good size. On the down side, the external speaker is terrible, very faint compared to my other phones, also the phone flexes too easy and has already cost me a new screen as it flexed in my pocket and shattered. Overall though pretty good.

  • Buy the other options, i bought my htc 2 weeks ago and i already hate it with a passion. It has weak speakers, so you won't be able to enjoy ur music without the headphones and the pictures are way to dark. For the price of this phone, in my personal opinion i would buy one of your other options

  • Why is it only one of this phone only recognized one of my sim card

  • Is this phone very small it looks so small can you compare his size but you know real lyfe stuff pls . Thanks

  • yes

  • It would appear that some versions in some markets are 3GB/32GB. Not all variations are shown in the specifications.

  • does this phone support 4G network

  • I bought this phone yesterday, why is my storage bigger? 3GB RAM/32GB ROM

  • This phone 4g support in India

  • Yes

  • i want buy the new phone.. option: 1) lenovo k4 note 2) htc desire 650 3)lenovo k5.. please give ur opinion. tq

  • Back is little up @ Ayman

  • This phone yes or no?

  • 4 to 5 hours approximately... if you want more info about that so plz conatc me ..03065742495

  • How is battery backup in desire 650?

  • in my opinion, the previous versions of this phone(630,610,620....) have a better looking than this, but I'm still living the dream with HTC :)

  • I have just got the HTC desire 650 and i have to say that for the price the Phone is excellent. If like me you do not play games etc and only require smartphone basics this is a real winner at a price of below 200 euros. With the microSD slot this Phone has more than enough power for all my needs. The audio playback via headphones or speakers is second to none, way better than my partners iphone 6. The battery life as commented is lower than more expensive phones but that is what you pay for. Compared to the premium phones on the market its performance and stats are well below but for the price it is hard to ignore this addition to the HTC range. Think of it this way, my last Phone was a Sony Xperia Z3 which was an amazing Phone and the HTC desire 650 stats and performance is as good if not better than the Xperia Z3. So many people get sucked into stats and performance yet really how much does any one person need.

  • OMG, is this a smartphone with 16GB memory and 2GB RAM? So long HTC!

  • single sim phone

  • I like 5 inch phones but the 2GB RAM and small battery are deal breakers for me. Also, if you are going for a compact display you want a compact body too. Otherwise what's the point, you might as well have a bigger screen if you are getting a phone with a bulky body. I compare the Desire 850 with the Xiaomi Redmi 3S - the one with the Global ROM, 3GB ROM and 4100 mAh battery for under $150. But the point on compactness here is that the Redmi 3S is around 139 mm long while this HTC is 146.9 mm, way too long to be considered very compact.

  • snapdragon or mediatek ?

  • I agree with you... I mean... Comparing it to the price of their HTC 10.. WtF

  • HTC makes bad cheap phones. Dont buy cheap phones. Buy their flagship. Even my m9 doesnt overheat because it has Snapdragon 810 v2.1 Go google it or watch android authority review.

  • Standard to who??? -_-

  • Battery is jock of the year

  • Smartphone with 4100 battery are standard nowadays.

  • lol..design, specifications, price.

  • Pathetic battery! Why so long - 146.9 mm?? Compare with Xiaomi Redmi 3, also a 5 inch display but only 139.3 mm in length, not to mention 4100 mAh battery.

  • Htc always made premium phones on the outside, like Desire Z, wow what a build, the metal was thick dnd strong, the Z-hinge was genius, i never before or after ghad such a premium built device. BUT... the interior and software was extremely poor, no updates camevto fix even the most serious flaws, it would die whennon standby and battery had to be pulled, many times a day. Do beeare pf the premium shell, htc makes the worst phones.

  • you are right. I apologize for poor choice of words. i meant pioneering in phone design. of course pioneering means they do(and had done) a lot of things for first time_which can seen good or bad as perspective changes .

  • I don't see how this is a great design. So many wasted space for the bezel. This is just HTC recycling their old Desire and selling it as new. Even Samsung is doing better by making their budget lineups (the On and J series) to feel new and premium. Even the Taiwanese are not buying HTC. HTC is really in deep trouble. Their days are numbered.

  • redmi 2 = 8mp/2mp camera so this phone is not copycat. get your facts right

  • According to me the design of sony are the best. Bore with Sammy design/apple and apple copies. So I think that's personal choice

  • Specs wise it is a clear copy of Redmi 2 Prime shame on you htc

  • One day I will buy htc desire, but that day will be very late, in that day htc had been already sold to Microsoft...and I will longing Nokia and Htc...

  • With those black borders..? Ugly

  • aluminium unibody, shape of antenna bands, dual camera(basically three things defining today phones).and if someone knows please say which phone used touch sensitive buttons for all its navigation first. sony was not and is not a leader in phone design(never been first in anything of phones).

  • Snapdragon 400 and adreno 305 why is htc hiding it ? Old processor !

  • Wow! Those bezels are really thin!

  • htc has unique design in both software and hardware. but nowadays they using outdated chip set, (400, 810). At least they want to pick configuration from competitors.

  • its below average performer, worst in battery

  • This is more of unsold phones being recycled.

  • WLan b/g/n, hey 2010

  • 2200 mAh battery?? Hey 2012 called, they want their battery back. You get a lot more just with a Motorola Moto G4.

  • Sony is the leader, but HTC is atleast far beyond Samsung (considering majority of releases).

  • Huawei Enjoy 5s (GR3) has almost the same specs, the price should not surpass $200.

  • HTC is true leader in design of Handsets.

  • Beautiful
