Worst smart phone in the world. I purchased this phone 2012,actually I wanted to buy samsung but one sell guy suggest me to purchase and just 3 month after purchasing the phone have issue in display ,my phone was under warranty at that time though The customer care told me that it was liquid damaged and phone can't be repaired and they return me the partial working phone to the complete dead my phone. Worst customer support. Worst brand. They told me to change the mother board worth Rs 7000 and at the new phone price is 12,000 INR. I purchased it 15900. I lost my money with the cheated company and worst brand HTC I've never seen till now.

Hi All I have a very bad experience with HTC mobile company, my handset is under warranty & its dead & I went to the service center their service staff are saying, "it's won't be repair untill & unless u wont pay the charges for repairing which costing is around Rs. 11,547 & my handset price when i purchased it was just a Rs.7,990. Its a ridiculous & its a very bad customer experience which i got form the service guy. Even HTC customer care guys are saying sir we wont do anything regarding this. So, HTC mobile is not worth for me.......

Hate this phone. It lags lots. If your txting and hit the home button by accident you have to wait over ten seconds for home screen to load. Keeps freezing. Won't access the s.d card. Crappy piece of shit I'm horribly disappointed

It was a worst experience with HTC Desire V....I had Display Problm 3 tyms....1 tym I did with a warranty .....It Hangs Atleast 3 tyms a day ...Dunno y !! ...Even Camera Clarity s not Gud....I also ve Speaker Problm....Hate It !! The worst problem about it is you can not reduce the homepages, it's stuck on the amount of 5. another one is that the RAM is not 512Mb, it's 400Mb :(

The worst phone I've have. It works very slow, freezes, thanks to 512Mb memory that works so bad with phone's processor. It must have at least 1 Gb. I sold it after 2 month of use. From experience of my friend: This phone died after 6 months of usage - internal memory died. So don't by HTC at all. A lot of internal memory failures!

This has happened to my htc desire v thrice. 2 times the motherboard has been changed (in warranty) . then also the problem is occurring , its not even charging. there are lot of issues which pop up in htcphones from time to time with no fault of yours. It seems every desire v user is experiencing the same issues. within a year of purchase it got some touch issues ,so went for service center they replaced as it is within warranty period. Recently it used to restart at least 4 to 5 times a day ,then finally phone is dead. went for service center they cooly replied have to service motherboard u have to spent 7500rs.wtf .... really trusted HTC performance and service its now totally waste of everything i spent.overall no more HTC here after.

Had a very disappointing experience. The phone restarts every now and then, has touchscreen issues, wifi connectivity is poor, disables the lan it is connected to because of its routing issues.

My htc desire v restarted several times in a day after 1 year of purchase and 1 day suddenly stopped working when the service center ppl told its motherboard failed whose replacement could cost 7 to 8k. The phone performed okay in the first year only and that too with some lagging. Not worth the price at all.

HTC desire V however sleek it looks but it sucks in its performance. My mother board went bust after 1 year...lucky that the service guys replaced it free of cost. Having said that the phone still gives a lot of issues like poor battery back up, Poor connectivity (i used another android phone and the connectivity is fine), hangs all the time, not at all responsive, Memory card does not get detected every time i need to remove and insert it again. Bad touch screen. Not worth the money. My suggestion, if you want to go for HTC smart phone, go for the high-end version and not the mid range ones.

Worst phone ever! Sim 1 gets offline without reason, The memory card is disconnecting all the times and finally can't detect it at all (tryed with other cards - same result). Motherboard died after 1 yr, Touchscreen becomes faulty at every 6 months.

My HTC Desired V phone showing problem of screen Touch from beginning, repaired from service center as it was in warranty (without money). After 13 month, Power IC shot down & mother board dead. Now repairing is costing more than Rs. 7,000/-. Wise decision is never buy this brand by mistake also. Hopeless Quality & very very bad as well as costly service from service center. Nice look and feel. Stylish design and interface. But touch automatically gets on while on call and while using data. Motherboard dead exactly after one year. So no warranty. Looks incredible, but cell dead forever.

I bought this phone in Ghana in 2013. It was packaged as HTC desire X but I found it was actually Desire V later when I checked the system phone info. The phone sometimes froze, restart itself, and was slow. After one year the phone went dead and won't start. I sent it for repairs and was told there was a problem with the power IC which needs replacement but no guarantee the phone will work properly. I don't recommend this phone to anyone.

Here it goes :- --> uncheck POWER BOOT from SETTINGS --> download nova settings from PLAY STORE this will surely solve ur problem of fone hang , calls getting delayed after u press yes to dial a call , rest apps opening slow. do share if u have any other suggestions

Root your phone and then download roehsoft ram checker and check ur compatibility and if ur device is capable then download roehsoft ram expander from playstore which will expand ur ram memory upto 4gb . And be careful in doing so and I'm not responsible if u brick your device .:)

I had problem using this phone all through its lifetime. It never gave me value for money. Hangs so much that I keep restarting; Takes so long to come alive, takes so long to snap picture: before you can snap a scene they must have dispersed; not stable with facebook; Skype not doable, charging point does not grip you will almost stand with the phone and hold to charge. Twice it fell from me twice I replaced the expensive glass.I never enjoyed it till it went off and will no longer power on since last week. I will not miss the phone as it has gone bad... only my money.

It always hang and when we restart the phone it takes nearly 5-10mins for restart. Very slow processor. It will take 1 min to open the contact for dialling. I afraid when we need emergency calling definitely something bad will happen in the time of its loading. I am always unable to open facebook in this phone due to its worst internet performance. watsapp will take 1 min to open. Games? no way u cant expect that from this phone. always hanging.. within 1 Year i got the touch problem too. and they said 3k for replacing display. and 4 tyms nearly i went for the software update. Guys I strongly recommend not to buy this.

Bought this phone almost a year ago.Soon after i bought it,may be after a month,the whats Up app stopped working.I could not open the app,cant read the mesg. Had to do factory reset every after 3-4 weeks.If i download some apps,then it will affect the Whats Up App application every time. So i cant play games nor download some smart apps in order to be able to use my Whats Up....still keeping this phone even after all these issues coz i cant afford to buy a new phone again so soon. In short, i wont suuggest this phone to anyone.

Used Desire V for less than 6 months, can't store pictures, any picture or video taken corrupts. The battery run down, after trying to charge for so many hours, phone cannot switch on again. In fact, Desire V is a bomb. Waste of money!!!

True Freinds for whom the Exp with Desire V was as like with the Anonymous Chinese Phones ie USE & THROW I bought this Mobile on mid of April 13 attracted by the Feaatures the so - called Brand Value of HTC. bUT FROM THE DAY ONE the Mobile wsa awfully slow , hang up Problem anytime anywhere, Response Time to any Application was a Test of Patience . Since within Warranty the Battery was Replaced and the Mobile Checked and after that it was running modestly but the Signs were not good enough . Finally just after a year crossed one day when I was in work with it it suddenly went off and never regained consciousness uptil now. When the same was shown to HTC Service they gladly told that the Entire Mother Board to be changed since Company has Rules not to change any one Defective IC rather change the Whole Unit at a most cheap Rate of Rs 8500/ only which is just after a Year!!!!. I suggested my Service Freind infact to Sell this Model with an Extra MotherBoard as a Stepni since now this has become a common Problem with the User. So I not only suggest to restrain from buying this Phone but also request the Manufacturer to stop Production ofthis Poor Quality Model which has wasted Money, Time and Confidence of using Smart Phone .

Guys please dont go for this phone its bloody cheap company my phone has broken down twice within a year of purchase on the first time its volume down button and power key stopped responding and i gave it to collection point for its repair,they took it to gurgaon and the set arrived after 10 days. After it came the phone felt awesome but i didn't thought that it was just for 6 months. Now a yellowish line appeared on its upper right corner. Yesterday on 4th may an update came from htc and i downloaded it and installed it, then phone asked for reboot. I rebooted it and after switching off it didn't started and i also tried to start it but nothing happened, i also called htc care and did everything what they said but nothing happened. Now today on 5th may i gave it to the collection point for second time for repair. As the phone was out of warrenty they said me to give Rs 600 advance which is non refundable and said that company will call you within two days to let u know wat d problem is and didnt tell me how much it cost now i had to wait for another 10 days and that is also not sure that hiw much the repair would actually cost.... Desire v is simply a standard smartphone. I am using it from 1year ,but there are some cons everyone should be aware. 1. Poor processor : processor is able to launch any app but I am facing problems due to single core. 2. Ram could have been better. 3. Video recording is not perfect. Camera quality reduce in indoors. 4. feeble loudspeaker specifically for videos. 5. Codecs from HTC are not sufficient for video, but problem can be easily resolved by mx player. Here process creates problems. 6. HTC sense keyboard is good , but auto prediction is not completly reliable. 7. Dual sim card does not support dual active tech. Still , I love this smartphone . Super design ,display, battery is sufficient for normal use.

It's depends man to man.For me htc phone is better than the bloody samsung set.After one year all set of samsung will dam. But I brought htc desire v on Oct 2012 still its work fantastic with no problem in battery and whats app. But only problem is the slow down I thing this is only due to 512mb RAM and all present day apps like launcher,widgets etc are heavy.So intelegent use of apps and selections are the important things.If your phone has slowdown then just go for higher version RAM 3GB and download higher end apps. but dont blame the manufacturer.At last I would like to say at prsent htc has best camera mobile in world htc M8

I bought this phone about Nov.2012. My experience is also not good. Initially had problem with sim 1 slot. it suddenly used to show there is no sim. so i interchanged the cards in slots. then whatsapp, i have to keep deleting the images and videos. else it just gets hanged. Within last one and half year, i need to reinstall whatsapp nearly every two - three days. some times 3 times in a day. and continuously clean cache. now slot 2 is gone dead. I have tried calling their local customer care centre but no one picks up the phone.

I don't know why am I getting comments like desire v going dead! I bought it at 26 march 2013. even I got issues like slow performance nd all. here r some tips in making it faster * go to setting>apps>all: select the apps which u don't like nd cont be deleted and disable it from the option provided insides. NOTE: if u don't get disable option it means its a system app. nd avoid disabling apps with android logo nd names starting wit .com still slow? update ur software from the service nd try the step above. *going dead might be cous of overheating. this is generally when u do task while charging. if u see ur phone overheating cool it, leave it alone, it will help. well its been 1 year 4 me nd its really fast nd nice 4 me. without ROOT mail me if u have any question or wana know bout apps to make ur device fast [email protected]

I am so much dissatisfied with HTC mobile- HTC Desire V which I have bought in month of march 2013. It became dead (Turn off & turning on) in month of March 2014 only which means immediately after 1 year. Within the period of 1 Year also i had problem of slow response in opening of applications, contact list, massages etc. Within this period I had to visit service center three times for one or another issue of mobile. Even more inconvenience because of availability of service centers, there are only two service centers in metropolitan city like Pune 7 those are also not in central or prior location but at one sides of city which are camp & Pimpary. even there working hours are 10am to 6 pm means same as normal working hours & Sunday close so for working people it's so inconvenient & difficult to visit there. attitude of staff there is also not that much passive. so I am so much dissatisfied with overall experience of HTC 7 will refer my contacts for not choosing HTC mobile. The video recording quality is suck, It also re start by itself, Quality of sound is not good, Dead pixel spot are present at maximum brightness, Expensive phone without even having front camera for skype video calling, During idle mode the screen turns ON by itself. Simply the worst mobile from HTC. After just completing the 1 year of formal warranty, it will not work. Yes it's true. Mobile get dead and you cannot view even battery charging indication. In my case, my mobile's warranty was just finished off and after 2 days mobile was dead. No power ON/ Charging indication. After one week of submitting at HTC service center,called back stating "your mobile's mother board corrupted and need Rs 8000/- for repairing". One cannot invest Rs 8000/- for repair while they are getting it for Rs 7999/- with vodafone connection in open market. So friends, say strictly no to HTC brands if you are more concerned about long life. If u buy it just seeing by looks, u can imagine the hell after one year.

HTC has some serious catching up to do if it wants to compete with the likes of samsung. I have been using the Desire V since last 6 months. The phone looks very good and the GUI is great but the lack of ram in this phone kills it. The phone is very very slow and it restarts automatically while using both sim's. The automatic restart wont happen at all if only one sim is inserted . Shocked with HTC QC. Will sell it ASAP.

This is the worst phone I have ever seen. I bought a new handset and on 10th day it started giving me a lot of problems. My new handset on 12th day was lying in HTC Service Center and within a span of 5 months my handset goes 12 times to HTC Service center. HTC Service Executives & Engineers always used to say that now your phone is working properly but on using the same problem exists. Atlast, I have to sell my Handset by bearing a huge loss. In the last I would like to say that I'm totally disappointed & unsatisfied with this phone and also with HTC Co. for their non-cooperation attitude.

It gets heated from both side front and bottom. 3.Some of messages dont support on whatsapp. Your whatsapp will crash again n again. 4. I have used this Phone for the Last 1 year 1 month and suddenly the Phone stopped working. When taken HTC office they asked me 12,000 for replacing the Motherboard, since Motherboard had a fault. The Most dis heartening thing is you get same mobile for 11500 in the open market. They are asking 12k for repairing secondly, any sane Person will get a Mobile like this with so many Problem ... This is the second Mobile from HTC which we have faced problem. This is the Quality of the Mobiles from HTC in the last 2 and half year.

At last I just woke up one morning to find that the screen is black and no charge indicator showing.I took it for repair but they told this phone will not work again and that is the end of my story with HTC phones. Its not the worse either .. net browsing is faster than any quad core media tek processor phone.. ably problem is lagging and hanging some time for that move all the aaps to the ad card.... Please don't blame a brand. If u can maintain this phone it will give u long lasting service. Beside the ardent 200 processor is so well optimized that ny phone is still faster than any Samsung or micromax in this range..

for all users that having problems like hanging- restart -lagging you have 2 do some steps to have a good performance on this device :- 1- 1-use a SD card and move your important apps to it and make the internal memory empty 2-download " clean master" from play store app and use it at least once a day 3- keep save all of your informations(phone book-accounts info...etc and reset you device "factory data reset" ithink now every thing is ok ....enjoy

Waste of money! Touchscreen must be replaced at every 6 months (manufacturer problem). After 1 year of normal use, my ROM firmware is corrupted (no power), and 2 touchscreens changed. Slow processor, but good battery life for a dual sim. Nice design too. DO NOT BUY!

HTC claims there is Beats audio but i dont see anything special in sound quality. The back cover is very plasticky & brittle & can break easily. Dont buy this phone. Started using this phone in August 2013 and it was great & was enjoying all its features. And then just this morning it crushed, barely 5 months in. At the beginning it would restart all by itself but then that stopped and probably that was the beginning of its end. Please do not buy HTC Desire V. Not sure about other models. My friend's HTC Desire V also crushed & I wish I'd waited a little bit longer before purchasing this phone coz I bought it before his crushed. know the secret of android.. usually to speed it up even its low spec you need to.. 1. turn off unused feature or settings that drains battery 2. disable google apps you dont use that runs in background it drains battery and ram. 3. disable bloatware apps from htc or unused htc apps.. 4. use du battery saver pro.. do optimize.. and auto kill apps every 5 mins.. my battery last a day and a half with moderate use.. my phone just hanged once and slight hiccups playing candy crush

I sent an email to HTC support team and they confirmed that, HTC desire V will not get OS upgrade. They said that generally device with 512MB RAM will not be eligible for OS upgrade.. But Google says Android KitKat OS ( 4.4 ) can run on 512 MN RAM device. I lost faith in HTC brand ..

Yes yes, it is never been a worthy at this cost, comparing other new brands. I used a micromax canvas less cost than this, which has more or equal features works very fine and faster. At this huge cost, it doesn't have a magnetic sensor. Even A simple compass app won't work in this mobile. I am totally disoppointet with this.

This is a piece of CRAP... I owned it for 3 months with moderate usage and then it died and no one was able to repair it... The company's customer support also SUCKS! Authorized dealer denied it's repair as the handset was examined by someone else prior to showing it to a dealer. Showing readiness to pay repair charges did not work as well.. This is realy bad mobile and the customer care is worst, just after 4 months the SIM-1 slot has stopped working, permanent connectivity problem, hangs up frequently, auto calls r made, switches off on its own, SMS is resent many times, all hell of problems in installing android softwares. The service centre at Kurla, Mumbai, India is worst of its kind, all customer unfriendly people are employed there.

Do not buy this phone!!! I use it in Russia. One, after 6 months, it started rebooting 5 to 10 times per day by itself. It's not a software, but a hardware issue. So you cannot fix it with factory reset or soft upgrade. Lots of complaints about this on the Internet. HTC knows, and still sold this phone. For that reason, I'll never buy HTC again. Two, calls from one of the sim-card slots makes crackling noises about 80% of the time so you cannot understand the caller. It occurs in some cities worse than others. Many store clerks I talked to knew of the problem from customer complaints. And still the phone was on their shelves. A clerk explained that there was a technical compatibility answer to certain types of networks for one sim slot, but not the other. Whatever. The phone is garbage. Avoid avoid avoid!!!

Though theoretically the specifications are ok, the Desire V is the worst ever phone. It can't be used even as a basic phone for calling and SMS. I do not have any downloaded applications on it but the phone hangs 8-9 times a day, switches off on its own, becomes silent or loud on its own. Absolute waste. DO NOT BUY DESIRE V.

First of all, being a dual sim, thought was a good buy, but with the auto shut down and restarting of the phone and the unresponsive touch has really frustrated me now. Might not go for another HTC product in quite some time. I am not expecting anything more other than the simple functioning of the phone. If i call and cut the call it starts restarting itself.sometimes it calls the person back without even my intervention. So dont even think about buying this dabba phone. Hi, Good day. Apparently, Samsung S Duos has packed with 768MB ram which is 256MB more to load and run your apps as compared to HTC Desire V. However, both devices are shipped with Single-Core processor, these devices will show sluggishness after sometimes. For example, load too many apps at once will cause the device to run slowly. My solution for this is to clear the device running memory regularly depending on how heavy you use it. Some once a day, some may be once every 2 hours! Enjoy reading :)

HTC Desire V - device is worst to buy and infact service of HTC co - Mumbai is also worst. I had purcahsed device in December and after month device was crashed , I surrendered mobile for serivicing trice and after few days they simply says it's O.k. for use now. Finally I submiited 40 days back again with Snap shot of system crashed , after which they informed that they can give one to one replacement within couple of days. Till today they do not have either replacement or other device to offer. HTC is worst in terms of device and double in service ,it's better to work with local Indian device manufacturer.

Htc desire V is worth it. People say it is a slow phone though it is not. It only depends on your usage. People use it roughly. The phone does hang when switched off and then switched on. It has a wonderful net with 3g. Cool camera. To solve your touchscreen lags in menu download smart launcher and for better cam quality I would suggest to download HD camera pro app.

there is no problem with this phone...as said by an user that it displays number even for saved contacts it is wrong. as far the battery backup is concerned it lasts for 1-1.5 days in 3G with 5-6 hrs of music,1-2 hrs of phone calls ,browsing 2-3 hours. internal storage for apps is 1 GB of which 782 is free so no problem with that. HTC do not have their service centre in Mumbai and even if they have they will send your Mobile to Bangalore for repair and you have to wait for your mobile for another 10 days to get. JB is a better android version and if you want a phone for games too, plz don't buy this one, I used it only for one week and sold it as soon as I could because the dual sim feature is it's only pro and I never used the second slot in it, :P

HTC Desire V is good enough as a Smartphone but not good as a DUAl SIM phone. In the dual SIM mood they create problems with each other. Maximum time I can't call anybody in one chance with that SIM which is a little bit weaker than the other. Even my friends can't find me by phone when my both SIM are activated. This phone is amazing.The internet speed is vry high.Sound Quality is also vry good, amazing camera.Its vry light.Its internal memory is 4gb but used only .95gb.Its updated with ISC version.1ghz processore and 512 mb ram.Its totally amazing phone.But its take much more time fr battery charging in 2.30 hrs.Tha disquality is only about the battery charged its much more time.....i will give 8/10 point....

This phone is awesome, it's very light. It looks good. But I can't seem to find the rest of the 4gb internal memory that came with the phone, all I had was 1gb left, but its alright. I have a memory card and it covers. All apps work perfectly. I sometimes have issues with my microphone but it works eventually. I will rate it 8/10.

Htc desire v- been using it for 5 months-dual sim is crapy-second sim signal gets dropped,while in call,internet on sim 1.I have tried with new sim from airtel.i can see the signal in other phone,but htc signal resets for the sim not in use. I give a solid review for this set 1.camera is average... 2.mobile is too fast & internet speed is good. 3.u can move app..to sd card... 4.battery charge is not comfortable..it takes too much time to charge..if u use for net ..battery last for 4 hour... 5..sound quality is superb...clear voice call... 6..big problem is when use net from sim 2 sim 1 network is gone... Nothing works properly.you can not use any themes.. ram builds up like hell.If you use any internet in one sim another sim be on stand by.Battery backup is bad while your are using internet.Its restarts for no reason. It's the worst dual SIM Android Phone, it do not support dual SIM. Once u activate Internet on Second SIM, First SIM goes on stand by mode. It's better to go Single SIM than Desire V, have got the phone exchanged on the 5th Day it self. It has slow response, it takes around 3 seconds to go back or display app. Overall the phone is not worth for the price you have paid.

People, m using HTC Desire V for last 3 days. My Vodafone 3G Signal fluctuates widely but m suprised m able to make and receive calls even on one bar of signal without cracking or disturbances. But i experienced a battery drain faster if I keep the internet running.Also, m unable to switch off the vibration when I type messages or use whatsapp.I even tried changing the profile.but no use.Otherwise, looks, camera and features are good.Please help.

I bought this phone a week ago and I'm very satisfied with it. Battery life is OK (2-3 days), screen is fantastic and sound quality during calls is great. Yes, I know. It have "old" A5 CPU, and slow GPU but purpose of this phone is for making calls, not for playing games with it. Camera performance is poor, but I always have my DSLR with me and that fact doesn't worry me at all. For his price, phone is quite OK!

This phone is just awesome! I bought it 4 months ago and it's worth it's price! I love every aspect of it! I don't use my camera at all because of the camera in this phone. :) Music rendition is also beautiful with the beats audio enhancement. Battery life is much better when compared to any other android\windows phone. With me listening to music, talking over the phone most of the time, accessing internet and clicking pictures, my battery stands for 1 and a half days!!!

One of my friends and I bought this phone 3 months back. It is a really really slow phone. Once you click on something it responses very late and sometimes doesn't response at all. And this is same for both of us. My assumption is, it happens because of the processing power and the RAM. Both are really poor in against the phone and OS requirement. I wouldn't suggest anyone to buy this phone. I haven't seen or experienced the Samsung Galaxy DUOS, so can't compare this one with Samsung.

Friend, You will have to understand first of all that we can use only one sim at a time either to talk or to send a message. so it shouldn't matter when we are using one sim whether the other is off and will always be on standby which means it is there but it cant be used.

I'm using this phone and it is nice overall. The only defect is that u may already know that this is not a dual sim active phone (when you receive call on one sim the other one is off for that duration), but this is not it, most of the times when i use gprs from any of the sim card the other one goes blank as well.

I bought a Desire V T328w yesterday and the specifications on the box say: Network HSPA/UMTS Dual band (900/2100 MHz) GSM/GPRS/EDGE Quad-band (850/900/1800/1900 MHz) Dual SIM: HSPA (3G) + EDGE (GSM) However, I don't know how to check whether the 850 MHz support is really there without going somewhere which uses 850 MHz.

Hi guys... I got my htc desire v 6 months back... Worked well for me...dont keep installed apps in memory card..have it in internal memory..thats what it is for..the phone will run smooth...people who complain the phone is slow is cause they have a slow memory card and where they dump in all the apps.. I like the phone, the screen has a nice tint & gloss that I simply love and would recommend you..!!

I have been using this phone for some time. There are so many problems in this phone. 1. The HTC sense language input crashes or malfunctions. I always get an error message to report the problem. 2. If an update runs in the background , the system becomes slow. Like slow keyboard typing. I'm facing this right now as I type. 3. If you use WiFi, 2G or 3G services, the phone heats up rapidly and it will be irritating tp hold the phone. 4. And yes. If you are on call on the first sim. The second sim deactivates. 5. This phone is not the greatest phones. There are other better options. I hope this helps some one.

Dude aamir after seeing your comment i so want to die lol. 93 MB is not the internal memory. the internal memory is 1 GB thats written in the storage. 94 MB is reserved for phone memory and is used for storing photos and all.
