I totally agree about the battery. That little POS has worn out in a little over 2 years, gets SO hot, and isn't supposed to be removed, so I don't know how that works for replacing it, cause it sure needs replacing. Holds so little juice these days, I am always charging the sucker, shutting down every program except the one I'm using that moment. It's SO annoying. If I had known their batteries were THAT bad, I would have bit the bullet and bought an Iphone. (I know, I know.) Not everyone has $600 to spend on a new phone every year though, and I expected that thing to last at least 5 years. 3 years later, I'm having to trade in. I hate our throw away society.

Having the phone for 2,5 years Great design, great interface, good camera and vídeo. For the last 6 month battery is not holding even 6h with texting on whatsapp, viber and browsing for 30% of the time. It gets hot to the point of becoming uncomfortable to have it on the trousers front pocket Sooo lagging, despite I have erased all photos and videos, close all background apps. Case with small cracks on the sides from first week of use Power button not working properly Shuts down at 30% load Screen problem with a grey-ish image and it freezes when you make some screen sliding, the previous one still appears like freezed I really love this design, it's the ideal size but will change the phone shortly and will not be HTC, maybe will try the x-peria z5 compact

In last three days i have big problem with HTC one mini.. the phone is maybe 3 years old and he is lagging, slow. i am doing nothing and he is really hot.. but, the biggest problem is, when i do with phone nothing, the phone begin turning off and than he is trying turn on. usually he do that maybe 3 times, but just few minutes ago, he couldnt turn on for 15 minutes. it is too much. I was really happy with HTC but a i cant tell it right now.

Well, this might be late to warn others but here goes. My wife has one, with 2 years. She doesn't use the wifi/gps/mobile date. Only for calls/texts and the occasional picture. After 18 months +- the phone doesn't last 24h on standby, with all wireless communications off. In Europe, we have a 2 year warranty. So we send it to warranty. The techs didn't found anything wrong. So i guess it's normal for a HTC phone not last 24h on stand by.

Total rubbish piece of garbage. Worst phone i have ever had. a. SOoooo laggy! Man! Just cant handle anything. b. Plastic case is not only flimsy, it appears faulty. The number of people who i have read having the same problem with the case breaking when removed from a protective case? c. Turns off at 15%? WTF? Either the measure is wrong, or it turns off way early, either way its shit. Stupid me got this instead of the samsung s5 mini. Wanted to try an alternative to samsung. Just rubbish. Great phone, never had a problem with the software, perfect on my hand, great display and design. But having a terrible issues with the battery, it always turn off when it reach 20%, especially when the mobile data is on.. and it has bad material, mine already broken on power and volume button area, although its rarely dropped

I had two One mini's, and to me it was the perfect phone in the hand. Sometimes I would carry it instead of putting it in my pocket, just because if felt so good to hold. Screen was great with the image seeming to float on the glass surface, and was a nice balance point between Samsung's soft looking Amoled panels and Apple's harsh LCD's. Battery was, um, adequate for a day, but look for an early charge if you do a heavy gaming session. Standby times were stellar though, and if you avoided the extra curricular activities like gaming and YouTube binges, you could make it four days on a charge. Let's be realistic though; nobody wants to use their phone that way. Speakers were very good for their size and made movie watching a joy. Headphone output is superb; better than iPhones and almost as good as it's big brother, the M8, in terms of noise and separation, but not in volume. The build quality was excellent and I never had a problem with the camera in either of them. However, the body polycarbonate on the arctic silver/white model will develop hairline cracks over time, and the only way to avoid this is to never play heavy games and have a fan blowing on the back of the phone when charging. Yeah, not very convenient. Seems to only affect the silver/white version, rarely affects the blue version, and almost never affects the black version. It was a good phone for me, aside from this problem of hairline cracks.

I have had this phone for almost two years and have taken pretty good care of it. This was my first phone and after my experience with android, I am definitely not going back to one.The main camera lasted for about 7 months but took great pictures. The problem that it had was that it wouldn't focus and was making a rattling noise. I searched this up and it is a hardware problem that is common for the mini. About a week after that happened the phone started to lag, so I installed an AVG virus detector and phone cleaner. It didn't change much, then about a week after that the battery life shortened. Then the phone started having troubles detecting the SIM card. Everytime it did this I would have to wait about 2 minutes for it to read the card again. Continuing with all these problems occurring I relied on my phone less and less. Then today about 3 months later my phone will not read the SIM card at all. I have blown the port out and still nothing works. With this problem the phone is trash. I can't call or text, or receive texts and calls. The only thing I can use my phone for is playing music. Even though these phones are almost three years old, if you are thinking about getting one I hope this changed your mind. Also the screen is way too small to text with.

I've had the phone for just a few months. The phone interface is great and in general its a good phone...BUT..... I have some pretty big issues. Firstly, this particular model has an issue with the camera in which all the pictures appear slightly pink. On some devices this can be fixed by adjusting ISO settings. Not all, though. Secondly, since i bought it, the screen jutted out from the casing and i believe this has eventually caused my touch screen to malfunction. the touch screen has spots which dont respond. So, if you consider buying this, look out for these defects.

I've had this phone since feb 2014 and it still works fine. The phone has become a bit slow sometimes when browsing websites but I believe it's because the phone lacks memory for todays standards. Otherwise it's somewhat compact and the battery is somewhat decent. Camera is quite bad in low light. Speakers are great in this one because of Beats Audio.

I have to say, I really don't like this phone. Nowadays, it seems far too slow to run the latest games/apps. The battery is awful and turns off at about 10/15%, and also the plastic casing is easily cracked. If you are thinking about buying this phone, I implore you not to.

Got this phone almost two years ago and it was the first smartphone i ever owned. I also got a good case with it which has two part; one inner rubber mask and one put hard platic mask, and this has kept my HTC One mini in perfect condition. I really do not have any complaints with the phone, the screen is great, after a couple of months i installed a cleaner on it because it was starting to lag but after that it was fine. The speakers and design are good, i like that it fits in my pocket. The only negative i have is the battery. This is probably because i am still used to a phone lasting 5 days one one charge. But after about 9 months of use the capacity went down by about 20%...another negative was after about a month of use it did not charge when plugged in all the time, but after a while that problem went away and has been working fine ever since...finally, maybe it does heat up quite fast but thats also probably because i live in Croatia where it can get pretty hot...all in all i recommend this phone to anyone interested, just try and keep your battery healthy for as long as possible. Oh also, im reading here that some peoples minis bodies are cracking on the side...it doesnt seem to be too sturdy of a phone, as in its standard quality and not over engineered, so i recomend buyng a good case (but one which also lets the battery vent so it can cool) and you shouldnt have any problems with that..

So i have this phone for over a month now and here's my experience. Before this i had Galaxy S4. So, about this phone for me: Pros: Battery life, Design, Speakers, Snappy Cons: No micro SD (only 12.5gb of free storage), easily cracked Cameras are preety nice, rear one have 4 ULTRAPIXEl and it can take some great photos even in the night, fron camera is also good 1.6mpx but it does not have some wide angle but that's not big deal. Phone doesen't lag and it's pretty fast even though it have only 1GB RAM and 1.4GHZ Dual Core processor it can run even newest games without problems due to optimized chip and software for this device. So on scale 1/10 i'd rate this device a solid 8.5

Verry poor experience, you have to pretty much don't use the phone to make it until the evening, very little battery!!! This phone is absolutely annoying, a lot of freezes, especially after you update the software, wich you have to do it because is constantly asking you every 4 hours... it's like you want to use the phone quickly, not so fast, first will you want to update the software, and you need to click like 2-3 times to shut it up... at least for 4 more hours.... And personally i don't like the layout of the menu and stuff like that of all the HTC Androids. If you don't really use the phone much for browsing or facebook and stuff like that, so you don't need a good battery and a good CPU, is a cheap choice for a phone.

I've bought it about a year ago. It was very good for a half a year until my camera suddenly stopped working. I've never droped the phone on a hard surface. About 2 months ago, I removed my case from it and the upper metal part like just fell of together with the power button. Yesterday I had my phone in my pocket and I felt that it's vibrating. I looked to se what's going on. The phone was making the ''turning on'' screen. It was doing it for like 4 hours untill battery was empty. I charged the phone over night. In the morning I tried to turn it on and nothing happend. 1. rule at buying a phone NEVER BUY HTC. None of my friends that own a htc is satisfied with it.

Also, it rarely lags..but one thing I don't like about HTC is the body of the phone. After using it for a couple of months, I noticed that the side of my phone cracks. And I had to cover it up with a casing so it will not be seen.

Terrible reception - get no reception at all where it was fine with my old Desire S, and side by side with an iphone 5 the HTC one mini has no reception at all compared to full with iphone, which gives my husband great delight in teasing me about. Case is pretty, but very very easy to damage. Screen cracked falling less than half a metre to a soft surface. Battery life down to less than 20 hours standby after only 4 months of having the phone, and I have everything switched off except mobile coverage, no wifi, no apps running, nothing. Loudspeaker mode, person on other end of the phone can never hear me even with phone within 30cms of my mouth. I do not recommend this phone. I am sad about it as I have loved every other HTC I've ever had.

Agree, the issue of the cracks in the plastic casing is why I will not but another HTC phone. This is a known manufacturing defect and htc refuse to repair it under warranty. I had mine about 4 months when tiny fissures formed then bits started falling off! They said the "damage" was not covered even though the phone was never dropped. Basically they called me a liar! Never again!

Great phone very cheap now. Considering this phone because: Premium design. Same ultra pixel camera as HTC One. The screen is stunning, ultra sharp. Sense 6 flys on this device, so smooth. Sense 6 has the best camera app i'ever seen. It works great like in Iphone's camera. The battery life is not so good but same as many android devices.

I moved from an I phone 5 to the HTC 2 mini. The processor speed is slow The camera quality is shocking to the point that the camera picture is poorly pixie t e d The feel of the camera is nice and ergonomics is great. Overall view is that if you are given it than its an ok phone. As technology goes this has not been a step forward from Then old h t c but a step back. If you are buying it don't bother as you will be disappointed.

I am really amazed reading all these bad reviews. I have it for over a year now, use it everyday, business and personal, workes perfect. Fell a lot of times, not a single crack. Perofrmance is satisfying regarding the class. User interface great, I like it much more then Samsung. Battery could be a bit bettet, but beside that nothing to nag about.

I happen to have both HTC One Mini and Galaxy S4 mini. Both are great phone and serve the purpose of fluent use of Whatsapp, LinkedIn and email. Photos taking is easy. One day of battery life is normal. I think it is normal for other higher end smartphones too. Just put in your pocket and you are good to go. If you want to do serious work, go home or office and use your computer or tablets. It won't cause strain to your eyes.

Best phone yet. it runs all the high end games like nova 3, need for speed most wanted, max payne, modern combat 5, asphalt 8 airborne. it even runs playstation one games flawlessly like tekken 3, syphon filter, ape escape etc. it even runs a few psp games like streetfighter alpha. tested them all myself. i have the black colour htc 16gb running android 4.4.2 kitkat. the sense 6 works awesome. i even play music using a 32gb flash drive and my otg cable. so you can expand its memory for extra vids games and music. my phone even fell on its screen and it never cracked. the stereo sound is amazing with the beats audio technology using some sony headphones. best bass ever. battery is okay using power saving mode always on. i never turn it off. i got a gel cover for phone so you never feel if it gets too hot which it almost never does. no cracks in my htc. its solid quality.

So I've had my one for 10 months now not a bad phone except the fact the battery is probably from a watch because it runs out in 2 hours of internet browsing on WiFi aswell. It doesn't work with my new audio technica headphones and they cost £100. I called htc support then they gave me some used earphones a compensation. The camera now doesn't work it just focuses randomly wwithout my control now as a result the pictures look blurry not matter the subject. I contacted HTC and they were useless It only stopped working yesterday and I havnt dropped it for a few months now so any advice? Also should I install cyanengine mod? As I've heard it will save battery by an hour or two

As already mentioned, within a week, cracks appeared in the side casings. this is my second phone as the display failed within 2 weeks on the first one. It is now around a year old and the battery life sucks. I unplug it at around 6.15 am and it has died by 12 noon. That is if I have 4g turned on. If I turn off mobile internet, then it makes it up until 10pm or so. But whats the point of a 4g smart phone without internet ? Worst htc ever !

I got the HTC 1 mini just 4 months ago. The problems started almost immediately-the side casing is so bad that it started cracking without the phone ever being dropped. The power button is not working properly. i sent it to the manufacturer who refused warranty because the phone had corrosion! Not even 4 months of use, never being dropped to the groung or into any sort of liquid. I am extremely dissapointed because i liked the design and the size of the phone very much, however looks does not replace reliability, especialy when service and warranty is below any expectations!

I have had a htc one mini for 10 months now,for 6 of them it worked,the battery is terrible ,I tried to get the cracked casing fixed but the whole phone is melted together cause of the heat so it would cause further damage,the power button doesn't work ,it restored itself to factory settings 3 times,the casing cracked ,it was drooped twice on carpet in an otterbox case,the speakers began to crackle after a week,and no shop will accept it as part ex against another phone cause it can't be ethically fixed or has no value,and htc won't help cause the cracks on the side have voided the warrenty

The htc one mine has problems with the casing cracking. This has nothing to do with dropping the phone. mine has never been dropped and the white plastic trim started cracking up after 2 months from new. Never dropped. HTC simply don't want to know and refuse to repair under warranty. Quick search on google shows this is a major issue.

Have phone about 3weeks and already the lock button stopped working (can't unlock unless I charge it), 5 cracks (never fell and in a case) and it over heats when it's left down. I bought my HTC One Mini in May, so I'll be judging it on my 3-month usage experience. I got mine out of the box with Android 4.3 and Sense 5. Yesterday I received OTA Kitkat with Sense 6 (just like HTC ONE M8,for those of you who do not know). I must say that based on my experience with this phone I could not tell any lag or crashes with any app, Sense 5 & 6 are both running very very smooth. You should know by now that if you plan on buying the One Mini you don't buy it for playing high-end games. For that I would recommend a phone with higher specs. I have no problem with the built-in battery, but as questions about it continuously appear, I can say it keeps me through the day, BUT only with the PowerSaving mode on(usually calling, texting, whatsapp, facebook and listening to music). For a 1850 battery it serves me well, just as a comparison with a 1650 battery my S2 would not last 8h on standby. I think this is because of the well optimized software and battery consumption during which Powersaver is on. Hairline cracks: I did a lot of research on the web regarding this problem, and from what I can tell this usually happens to the silver and blue model. I bought the black One Mini, and up until this day had no cracks or other case/button problems. UPDATE: Since the Sense 6 Update it runs a bit faster/buttery than Sense 5, it's kind of smoother and also the Extreme Powersaving mode is quite handy. During the previous night (ca. 8h) my phone lost just 1% of battery with this mode enabled. For me this is quite impressive. This review is done based on my personal experience with the phone, during a 3-month testing period. I covered things I would have liked to know when deciding on weather to buy the phone or not For further questions feel free to ask

HTC One mini follows many steps of HTC One (M7) but at entirely different pace. Build quality is still as solid as the bigger brother. The alumunium construction is handsome and well-crafted. At smaller footprint (HTC One mini is just slightly taller than iPhone 5), handling is a plus point. It slips into pocket of men's pants effortlessly. The display looks vivid and crisp. Some might find 4.3" is too small by today's standard but the quality is above average. The keyboard does the job fairly well in such diagonal stretch. Camera does a fairly good job. Daylight shots appear decent, if not great. Low light shots are of acceptable quality. Front camera isn't as good as those on HTC One (M7) or One max. BoomSound and BeatsAudio are responsible for audio department. Loud speakers, crisp output through headset or headphone. Sense 5.5 comes with BlinkFeed as default addition to the skin. News-reading activities so easy with BlinkFeed, forget about digging into menu and apps. Call quality and network reception is good. Connectivity is well-covered, although NFC isn't on board. If you love using your phone as TV's remote control, the absence of IR blaster is kind of a miss. Performance is commendable, but please keep in mind that it's not fair to compare it to HTC One (M7)'s. Dual-core processor is not lagging at all, but 1 GB RAM might not be satisfying to some power users. Battery is pretty average: not bad but not impressive either.

I have had the HTC One Mini for around 2 weeks now, and i can honestly say that it is a spectacular smartphone for the price of it. deffintely the best mid-ranger out there. I went from an iPhone 5 to an Xperia Z1 because I.O.S was boring me and it was dull even with the upgrade too I.O.S 7 they tried to copy Andriod. After a couple of months the Xperia Z1 started to become too big for my liking, even with the Snapdragon 800 and Adreno 330 the smartphone in my opinion still ran slow even with everyday use i was always having delays closing recent applications and so on. Now with the HTC One Mini i can honestly say that it is 100x times better than the Xperia Z1, even with the majorly downgraded clock speeds i still feel that the aluminum phone still suited my needs better than the £500+ flagship smartphone.

I've had my HTC One Mini for 3 months now and I can honestly say its a great phone. Certainly the best in its price range. I really enjoy the size of the handset as most these days are too big and bulky for my liking. The camera is Amazing for night time and indoor use, and I've compared the camera shots with an S4 and Nokia 1020. Don't be fooled by the 4mp (Ultrapixel) camera, its a real quality lens. An SD card slot (which is now available on the Mini 2)would have been great, but that,s minor as I use other devices for various media storage/playback. All in all, its a awesome handset and its comes highly recommended.

Now this is a fairly good phone but offers way below the htc m8 itself. The pricing aint bad considering the features which most entry level smartphones dont have. 4g capability is awesome, 8gb internal memory not bad, 1gb ram a bit low for this phone but its owkay no apps crashing the whole time, and the 324ppi gives an awesome display. what i did'nt like though was the 4mp camera but i bet you'll like the pictures.

I really like the HTC One Mini. It feel pretty cool in the hand. There were some small problems like the plastic part of the pannel get mini or even micro cracks after two months. I've had my pannel changed but these days I saw a new crack again on the plastic part. The updates are good but there is still one thing that bothers me. When I want to turn my mobile network on so I can use the internet it doesn't find it and I have to restart the phone. But it happens only from time to time although it shouldn't happens at all. The camera is pretty cool, although most of the pictures doesn't look so good when you look them on the computer.

I think the s4 mini is better because it hasn't had any major reliability or build quality problems and I prefer the button layout. Also it has better cameras and a better processor although the screen is better on the htc. I've had my s4 mini for 5 months and I've had no problems. One warning: be prepared for a struggle if you want to connect your android phone to a mac without Dropbox.

I got the kitkat update yesterday. Huge download 622mb. Not many visible changes. You can now set text messages to be handled by Messages or Hangouts (this is strangely under Data --> Usage). And there is now a print option in settings. It is supposed to run smoother. I can't verify that. Also, the keyboard, when you type a word, and then you click on the arrow on right side to get more word options, the arrow now converts to an X that you can click to return. Before, there used to be nothing to show that if you clicked on it you'd exit from the options.

They gave me the black one since when they opened the silver one from the box it already had cracks. Which made me believe that it is not because of the battery but a factory defect! Cracks are a defect and HTC has collected mine to replace the cover as its a known fault, shame ee didn't recognise it. Had a silicon case from day one and four weeks later the cracks appeared. But overall a great phone.

Don't buy, just check online for HTC one mini hairline cracks, there is a massive problem with the phone acrylic compound failing, after a few months these little hairline cracks appear everywhere no matter how well you look after the phones and your left with a beautiful phone with hairline cracks everywhere. This needs sorting asap. It's ashame because it's the best looking phone I've ever had.

I own a mini for some time now and so far it is great. Very responsive, smooth in games and the best sound i heard so far at any phone. I know about the hair cracks on plastic sides, but those are defects found at any phone out there. I recommend getting a transparent cover. Transparent because the looks ar too good to hide. A case will prevent hair cracks. All in all i think it is the best in it's range.

This little device is just perfection. Had an HTC One x in 2012, liked it but had battery issues. Still, I used it for a full year. then got the Galaxy S4. Got totally disillusioned and sold it 3 months later. Tried Lumias etc. Just had to get back to HTC. The mini is just super.

Be aware!!! there is lots of manfacturing differences between the phone purchased in india and abroad.. Mostly the 4 g network and u cannot find much of accessories like the double dip in india .i came to know only after purchasing the phone .. rest usage wise its outstanding and the price of the phone is consistently dropping

it's so good everything is perfect the camera is very nice in low light except when u zoom in a lot then u can see the difference between 4mp and 8mp but i think its perfect the only problem i think is the batterie it doesn't last a day if u are a heavy user like me (games , music , taking pictures) but it will be more than enough if u r not a heavy user

Guys please do not buy HTC One Mini.I have never been troubled by any other cellphone as this one. Just one and a half months and its speaker is damaged. So every time my phone rings along with it comes an irritating sound.Plus i cannot talk on speaker now.Calls get disconnected in between and i am sure this is not network problem. Bluetooth connectivity is problematic as well. So take my advice and do not buy this phone.

Had the mini now for about two weeks, had an xperia z and iphone 4s before and it does not stand down for both of them. I would recommend the one mini to anyone. I do not see why you have to get an bigger phone as it does everything i need it to do very well. Its a lot cheaper on contract than the iphone 5 and would still prefer it. It astonished me with design(looks), sound, speed and camera. Its my first htc and found it to user friendly as well.

A nice screen is not just depends on ppi, type of screen also very important & will make a huge difference! Xperia TFT screen is nice IF u look at it face to face. But IF u look at it from different angles (side views), all colors are washed out! To me, the best is still LCD screen with natural colors at all views.. Anyway, if u still prefer Sony, i suggest u go for Xperia Z1 instead of Xperia Z.. its much better..

i have huge cracks already along the plastic line and the guy from the store said its the first time they've encountered this and kinda insisted that i dropped it and therefore will not be covered by warranty. i don't know if htc can read this but they should look at various websites with people complaining about the issue. for those people who wants to buy this phone, i would think twice or three times as they're service center also sucks! they don't want to listen to your complain and will judge you and say you dropped the phone. it is definitely a good phone but due to the poor build, it wont last anyway so no use right? so...think.

Overall it's a typical touchscreen. That is it is pretty but not very good as a comms device, better than the eyephone in some areas but still just a touchscreen. I was hoping to be converted but I need a communication device not a pretty picture toy so after 4 months I am back to my blackberry bold. Btw mine cracked on the white plastic strip as well and HTC replaced it

I went to the store where i bought mine and even accused me of dropping the phone. I told them that there should be dents in the corners if i dropped it. No brainer right? When they called the service center the guy imidiately said "oh he probably dropped it" without even seeing the phone yet. This is my first htc and i regret buying this. I'm having the same problem. But sadly one of those hairline cracks appeared near the volume buttons, where the plastic frame is slimmer, so it turned into a full crack. The phone is in service right now, they refused to replace it, and instead wish to repair it. It appears that many users are having this problem, with the plastic frame cracking. This is certainly one thing to research before buying this phone.

My friend just got the htc one mini. Great phone. i'd say as fast as the s4 and the ultrapixel camera is excellent and very clear. I'd say a great phone in general. downside no external memory. Hope that helps.

Checkout the LG L9 2. It's brand new, looks beautiful, has a removeable battery, an SD slot and proper hardware keys. AND it costs less. it's 4.7 inch though. but it has very small bezels.

It's one of the stupidest thing to buy HTC devices, their costumer care is awe-full, I bought this device but after a day a crack appeared in a white plastic around the device, after two days the other side of the device is also had the same fate, after calling the Costumer Care they refuse to change the device and also call me a mendacious and said you broke the device casing?! I'll never, ever recommend any HTC products to any one, till they understand the value of their costumers.

I've had Samsung galaxy and I prefere htc, wanted to go with iphone but ended up with htc one mini :) there's not much to improve in this phone with apps so 16 gb is ok and it is getting hot when surfing web but it's ok too :) I didn't like the keypad so got app from google play store :)

yeah, same here. It's too friggin' much. I'm just gonna stick with Samsung S4... hopefully though Samsung will do Samsung S5 or still S4 soon with the leather casing and I will really stick with it then... the OLED screen also needs lots of work. Other than that, everything should be okay.

There is more than enough memory for many hundreds of apps. It could install about 1,000 smallish apps (10MB each) or maybe 300 large apps (~33MB each). 3D gaming that's another matter of course, those apps can be much larger.

The weak GPU will cause problems to play heavy games, it's non-expandible storage (about 10GB practical?) will soon be full after a few games, videos, music and maps software. Yes, but they're Ultrapixels... HTC engineers looked deeper into camera tech and they realized increasing MP is fine and all, but other areas of the photos suffer. Ultrapixels are much larger than normal ones and the sensor is bigger too; it lets in a lot more light, so the night shots taken by this guy wipe the floor with every other smartphone camera. Day shots are still good, in fact usually have more accurate colors than other devices, but you will see extra detail in phones like the XperiaZ/ZL and S4.

You shouldn't really trust them rating anything, they've been brainwashed into worshiping and praising iPhones and anything that looks like them or follows their design language. This may have skewed their judgement a bit. Also, did they crop the photos fully to judge the detail levels? If not, then they're probably wrong about the camera.

I just can´t understand why the "mini" versions are so different than "normal" versions. This phone has nothing to do with one, the features are so different. And sadly, if we compare with s4 mini, the one mini is worse. it seems HTC is always one step behind Samsung. Look at the s4 mini, it has the same size but the cpu is better, ram is better, front camera is better, almost everything is better. for the HTC lovers, just like me, this is frustrating.

I hope HTC will not use snapdragon 400 quad core on this mini. Snapdragon 400s with quadcore are using the quite old cortex a7 architecture. I think Snapdragon 400s with dualcore (but using krait architecture) are better.

That is an absurd excuse for not having an SD card. There is a slot for a SIM card so there can be a slot for SD...or you could put the SD internal under a battery cover like a lot of phones do.

My friend owns a HTC One, and I tested its camera against my Galaxy S4, and believe it or not, the overall quality of the pics clicked from the S4 were way better, the brightness, the color and almost pretty much everything made the ultra pixels seem really over hyped. Though agreed that in a couple of dark places the One's camera was a tad better..

Dude agreed that HTC One is as good as the S4 and much better than the iPhone 5. I'm not really sure about why its not water-resistant but the reason why it doesnt feature any microSD slot is because of its metal frame, this is the same reason why the iPhones do not support SD cards.
