HTC One X10 - User Reviews

  • I had no isues with this phone for over 1 year, but after that time, the screen started to be defectve. The directionals keys in the board were not answering at times. So in the long run, it was not a good purchase.

  • I'm a long time HTC user. From a Desire through to the X10. I have had very few problems with the X10. It boots in reasonable time, the battery lasts quite a while (I'm currently at 62% after about 10 hours of use & I can go about 25 hours between recharges) and the phone is at least 18 months old. Occasionally it does slow down, but generally just requires a reboot or closing of excessive open apps. I would like to get the OTA update to Android 7.0 at least, but I can't seem to find it anywhere for Australia. Thoughts?

  • regretting the day i bought this pone, it asked for an Android upgrade of which i did, now the data connection is disconnected and I've tried everything to get it reconnected and I've failed, when you restart it, it takes forever to restart, over 10 minutes yet i only have 8 app installed.

  • you forgot to mention the OS version...

  • I have had this phone for 5 months now in Australia, it came with Android 6.0 and cannot be upgraded to Android 7 or 8, there are no updates available at all over the air. I have tried more than 50 times to contact HTC, and the company I bought the phone from but no one will return my calls. The battery life is fantastic, but that is the only redeeming feature of this hand set. The cameras are both very slow, taking up to 15 seconds to take a photo, the auto focus does not work it is always out of focus. The finger scanner only works 30% to 40% of the time, it is constantly asking me for a pin for extra security. Applications are slow to load and screen response to touch is also very very slow. I have had 6 HTC phones from the original Desire, to EVO, to One M8, and One M9, all these were by far much better than this phone. It is slow and dimwitted, I can only assume this phone is faulty in some way, but the seller and HTC will not respond to my calls for help. It has been a monumental disappointment, I'm now looking form something to replace this faulty handset.

  • Does it overheat? Thank you !

  • how does London use HTC x10 battery last?

  • recently i bought this, and i'm very satisfied with battery life. it can stay upto more than 1.5 days with fully loaded apps like fb, messenger, instagram, viber, watsapp and so many....

  • i'm from India i agree with james89 i have this phone for 3 months i bought it ₹17265( $235) i really happy about its performance *battery life -10/10 *camera(main )- 8/10 -front 7/10 -video(10/10) *softwera-10/10 charging time - 9/10 ( its charge below 2 h) overall this is the phone i'm looking for i love it specially the battery life and camera (4000mah)

  • I bought this phone 8 months ago it works perfectly and i really happy about it's performance camera works perfectly and also phone works smoothly......highly recommended

  • best htc phone i've ever used

  • The selfie camera is total crap it takes forever to take a pic and the primary camera's flash is complete rubbish. It takes forever to snap a pic when the flash is on. Not to mention that my particular phone seems to have a software issue, every time I restart or power on it takes no less than 10 minutes and over 25 minutes once so far to optimize one (1) app in order to start. Mind you, this phone is practically right out of the box, 3 weeks old and about 7 downloaded apps. *RUBBISH* IN MY OPINION HTC HAS DROPPED THE BALL DOWN A HILL BY A CLIFF OVERLOOKING THE OCEAN with this phone.

  • This is the worst phone I have ever owned. So terrible that I am either going back to Samsung or probably going to switch and try Apple. I have had this phone or 3 weeks purchased on Amazon, data doesn't work and it slipped out of my hand and fell on the 4th Sept, 2018 and immediately the mic stopped working so no one can hear me when I speak. Absolutely the worst.

  • I live in Australia and had these M9 and the x10 is fantastic.

  • Would this phone work with 4g lte in United States if it is internationally unlocked

  • Is this phone available in india for buying? If yes, on which site or store. Thanks

  • is this on android Nougat? is this have apilt screen?

  • U always complain of everything

  • I agree about the camera quality, it's pretty average. No front flash, slow and clunky. My older HTCs had better camera functionality. Also with messaging I can't mute a specific message thread.... It just manages to lose some basic features. Used toove HTC, this model not so much.

  • Battery life is impressive. Camera is crappy worse ever 16mp i have seen. For a phone which was released in 2017 it really is crap overall. Also it doesn't come with a "gallery" app. In addition to this not all media types are supported by this device. This is what i have seen so far after a mare 24 hours.

  • Can someone please compare this phone with the 10 pro and Evo. Was wondering which is a better option

  • Currently upgradable to nougat 7.0

  • Garbage camera that lags when taking a photo in full sunlight. Single mono audio loudspeaker, and is tinny. Sense only allows 4 columns on this screen VS 5 on the m9. Makes calls, decent battery. Menus not as responsive as the m9, despite 2 year age gap between the two models

  • It says "Android OS", but what version of Android?

  • No to asus!

  • great battery timing.

  • one x 10 is batter option

  • Hello. I have to buy a new phone and I'm thinking between this HTC one x10 and Asus Zenfone 3 max 32GB/3GB ZC553KL. A word of advice? Thanks.

  • Seems like HTC discontinued the phone. It still runs 6.0

  • bought this in Australia for A$350 (where flagship phones cost A$1000-1500+) and i think it's fantastic. battery life ifs the best on any phone i've had. i get a full day use with heavy gaming etc, then charge overnight. the cpu is not a flagship killer - but cpu hasn't been an issue for me for the last few phone generations. its cpu still does as good or better than comparable mid-range phones (around A$500 price) and it's energy-efficient which adds to battery life. i'm a photographer with a Canon 5D as my main rig, and yet the camera on the HTC is surprisingly good. the 'pro' mode on the stock HTC camera app is better than any open manual camera apps i've tried before. the manual sliders let me focus incredibly up-close macros, and the exposure and white balance sliders let me capture a perfect sunset - the touch UI is easier than on my Canon tbh. and the HTC's all-metal body looks and feels like a premium phone. i just wish it had usb C, like my last Nexus. overall value is excellent

  • bought this phone two weeks ago in Australia. very fast and excellent battery life. camera and audio are decent. screen very sharp and beautiful. Reception when making calls is also very good. phone was released in 2017 but with outdated Android Marshmallow. Admittedly, it works really fast and smooth.

  • I yesterday bought this fone. i am regular DUal sim user. Every thing is going fine yet, one drawback want to write about is, it has either dual sim option or you can use memory card. you cannot use sim2 and Memoray card together ( Both have same slot and they wrote EITHER SIM2 or SD.

  • You used these cell phone. Do Desire 828 or desire 830 has compass?

  • A dud. Failed on the first firmware update. Had to go off for repairs. Came back and failed immediately. No response from HTC when I asked for money back...still waiting. This is the second htc phone to do this to me and I'm not buying any more...

  • Go for the Asus Max coz it has better SD430 SoC compared to others.

  • What is your idea if you want to buy from these models : Zenfone 4 Max ZC554KL or HTC One X10 and Galaxy A5 2017 I heard some news about the problem in Camera and quality of these phone.

  • This is the best value smart phone I have seen. Slightly less resolution than the main opposition, everything else is comparable or better. Cameras, RAM, memory (extend with card), processor, battery life ... At $349 from Dick Smith online, how can you beat it. I wouldn't swap mine!

  • Is this phone hybrid sim model???pls tell me...

  • Check out the camera settings.

  • I believe Huawei and Sumsang more reliable then HTC or don't. Huawei Y 7 Prime or Sumsang J7 pro are awesome.

  • Never ever go for MediaTek. Qualcomm handles their phone best.

  • anybody can tell me the OS IS which version android 4 5 6 or 7

  • Finally, I purchased yesterday HTC one x10... sound and display quality Is good but I was not satisfied with the camera.. front camera is totally failed.. last time I purchased two mobiles of htc's. htc desire 830 and HTC desire 828 .compared to HTC one x10.. Htc desire 830/828 is a good camera.. unsatisfied with HTC one x10.. if you want a good camera, please don't buy htc one x10.. in low range HTC Desire 830 Have a good camera. Iam not satisfied with htc one x10 camera....

  • Hi gsmarena please test this phone soon PLEASE

  • htc one x10 vs htc desire 10 pro?

  • Hello dear, How can you update your camera ?

  • I want to knw abt Htc sound quality is better than sony? :p

  • Does it have heating problem?? And please moto g5splus or one x10 which one would be better ?my preference on front camera more?

  • Please test it. Thanks

  • Battery life is very good. I used M8 before and now i m much satisfied with this. Have it for 2-3 months already. It lasts full day with active internet, bluetooth, screen and hotspot usage (one sim in gsm mode, other one in 4g) . At first i was really surprised that i can charge once in 48 hrs (without active usage of youtube)

  • please test battery life for this htc one x10 thanks

  • Okay so I'm about to buy the HTC One X10 in replacement of my old HTC One Dual Sim (802d), I am not very familiar with network standards names and afraid if the X10 would not support CDMA My current HTC 802d SIM slot1 works with my country's CDMA2000 operator's SIM, and its confusing cuz CDMA is NOT mentioned in the phone specs; rather, "HSDPA" is mentioned. So is HSDPA the "network family" for CDMA? Is there a "Mobile Networks" expert who could tell me if the X10 Slots work on the two different types of networks? (GSM & CDMA) Because when I message sellers on ebay/amazon, they say its a whole GSM phone, although the network specs displayed here are identical to my current 802d!

  • I am very confusing between Snapdragon 617 and Helio P10. Which one is more faster? Pls tell me. I am buying.

  • If u have a friend in Saudi Arabia he may purchase it 4 u HTC one X10.Costing @999 SR and INR Costs @ 17000.

  • iam thinking to buy a mobile. sumsung galaxy 7nxt. anyone sagest me how is it....

  • Which one is better X10 or Galaxy J7 2017?

  • HTC X10 is worth ma pc

  • A5 2017 It's better I think. The x10 only bigger screen and bigger battery. Remaining A5 2017 is better

  • htc one X10 or samsung galaxy a5 .... which should i buy .....??

  • Camera quality update. After the firmware update. I hard reset the phone. The camera is still bad. Later I update the HTC camera app from the play store and the camera seems better. video recording seems more smooth. Third party camera apps still bad though but you don't need them. I didn't test it enough to say if it's a lot better or just small improvements. I will do more test and if anybody interested to know the results replay to this message in the near future.

  • Unfortunately no improvement on the camera in the new update. It's still bad

  • If you dont care about the junk camera then its a good phone. I am downloading new firmware just released today. Hope it fix the camera quility. Update number 1.07.401.1 size 497.2 MB. I will tell if it improve the camera or not. Stay tuned But if you are buying from jarir then there is a big discount on HTC u ultra. Only 1399SR. Don't miss this offer.

  • I may buy this phone from Jarir , do you advise me to buy it , or i should look for another mobile phone ?

  • Android 6

  • What Android does it operate on ?

  • yea..change it!

  • just purchased one x 10. I have encountered one issue, the phone is getting very hot very fast, even during light use. any ideas?

  • This devise looks nice where can i get one?

  • Did you mean Redmi Note3? Cause this looks the same

  • I agree.

  • X 10 camera very bad

  • I already have this phone Battery support fast charging

  • Why HTC always using an outdated Chipset?

  • Nice phone, but poor SoC.

  • Big price for its present stats. Saying no.

  • 4000 mAh battery wow but you no fast charging so the battery will charge long hours. Eii supper LCD? This is the first time I heart SUPER LCD.

  • When can i expect the phone in india

  • Helium p10, again

  • Video recored is very bad. Laging too much like cheap phones.

  • My dear friend Htc... I love yore phone and only buy Htc.... But this phone in this time no fast battery charger And use p10... In this time... Only thing can say is.... Wow.. Why??????!

  • Three years I have been using desire 816, my battery still last at least one day. Playing music for couple of hours takes 5 to 10% witch is pretty good for a three year old phone.

  • 4k mah compare to 3k mah on the x9, probably hi-fi speakers and a fingerprint sensor so that's good and better than the x9. I would like to buy it if it gonna be sold outside Russia and at the right price. And it will probably last for at least three years or more.

  • it's heavier cause it has a larger battery. I really like that for me a large battery is a plus, so it always depends

  • Is it really that hard to lift an extra 10-20 grams?

  • Same CPU, RAM and CAM of last year device "One X9"...nothing was really upgraded here. And also no front speakers!! This is actually a downgrade! They should have released the X10 last year and the X9 this year! That would make more sense.

  • 175g weight is way too much, rest of the features looks good.

  • @gsmarena: Where is the preview for this model? Its already out in the market

  • I will add more information about the camera after some more days with the phone. The camera picures is going like (yellow) i didnt like it. After comparing it with my lenovo phab 2 plus with 13 MP only i found lenovo camera is much better. Strange indeed since HTC X10 has 16 MP camera. Will camera perfomance be better with future updates?

  • I have the phone for few days now. My notes as follow: -Outdated mediatek p10 but its enough for my work (were hoping for p20 at least) - i am not good at cameras but as per my point of view the camera is ok but lacking slow motion record (120 fps). 60fps, and 4k record. - the battery is very good. The best phone i tried for battery. Last two days for my usage. -finger print is good and fast. I saw the setting that you can use finger print to take picture while the camera is on but try it yet. -a nice design. Looks awesome. - I hoped for bigger internal storage. 32 GB is good but bigger is better. - the 2nd sim is shared with memory card -price is 1000 SAR. It is good price but x9 is much cheaper with better spec except battery (x9 price is 850 SAR nowadays)

  • A cheaper,weaker version of HTC desire 10 pro.Like literally,there is nothing to it.

  • I am planing to buy HTC ONE X10. But where? Please suggest.

  • 10

  • Fastcharging doesn't means typec

  • Should I buy HTC One X10 or HTC 10?

  • Who cares?

  • My phone has USB c but only costs $140

  • It's really boring and not heloful comment when saw many jeaolusy comments. Htc one X10 has quick charge.yes it has 3rd quick charge and does charging fast.remember that galaxy s8 has 2nd gen quick charge.hahahaaaa... htc midrange has better and faster charger in compare to samsung latest flagship...also x10 has good looking shape and ... And one said why not usb type c!!!!!this is midrange and type c is new for flagships.are u kidding? want new tech in midranges?and then who will go for flagships. X10 is great midrange and is better than others when compare...like x9 in last year.please stop foolish and jealosy words.....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • May be a mobile phone shaped like a coca-cola bottle is not boring. What do you think?

  • 4000mAh no fast Charging!! it's gonna take a while to charge

  • Why no USB type-C??

  • htc is nice phone and better hawder qulity

  • Nice phone and good battery

  • boring design

  • At this point, if you don't care about the huge battery, you might as well go for the Htc desire 10 pro. Better camera, specs, and a better improvement than this phone

  • htc corporations . pls, improve battery life first

  • I am Big Big fans of HTC , since I am using smartphone always preferred to have HTC but this company always sucks in battery life pls for god sake improve battery life , HTC HAVE TO WORK HARD TO MAKE BETTER BATTRY LIFE FOR PHONE

  • Nope, still micro USB

  • Be honest, all parts are great in midrange line.great camera in back and front,5.5" fhd display.lots of ram.... and the sign of htc x10 is great and huge battery that cause to buy it...

  • USB 2.0? you sure. not 3?

  • Be blessed that they didn't remove the headphone jack here.

  • Ra,m is important like cpu and gpu. Anyway phone with higher ram preform better than with lower ram. Processor is also important but you still need ram or processor gets slow.

  • Who cares about octacore and 3 gb ram? More cores don't mean more performance. There are better dual cores out there. There is no point of having 3 gb ram if the cpu is so weak. It will lag like hell no matter what amount of ram the phone has. Also, who care if it has 4000mAh battery if it can't be use without lag?

  • Great battery life.increases both camera and add finger print...all are good works and right steps.but cpu downgrade...but cpu is newer than x9 and ... Overall x10 is better than x9 Htc please make x11 better in every part from cpu, camera ....to battery

  • More low cpu compared X9 model, no 4k video recording. Why htc?? Stupid steps. Only battery good.

  • Ikr. And HTC wonders why they're doing so poorly

  • Last one x9 had 4k recording.....this has only 1080p....futher more nothing has changed in terms of processor and ram....useless upgrade pretty muh

  • Htc plz use snap dragon

  • Last time using sony m5 dual processor helio x10 already lag like hell. Change to HTC 10.but p10.....NO COMMENT

  • Sorry you re right but anyway no phone in 2012 had 4000 mAh battery and 3GB ram. Not even top phones of top brands. Phone with 3GB ram doesnt exist in 2012.

  • One plus one came out in 2014 and only yhad quad core with 3100 mAh battery.

  • Good

  • Now tell me which phone apart from One plus one at 2012 had 4000 mAh battery and 3 GB ram also octa core. I tell you noone.

  • These are 2012 specs

  • Too bad not maintain the X9 stereo speakers design & camera no OIS :(

  • is this a rebranded Xiaomi Note 4X, but with a mediatek processor ?

  • First look hmmm looks goods . It's specs hahaha doesn't look like successor of x9 of mine . P10 oh common at least sd625 have been better . No ois nd 4k even x9 has . Point very decent phone should be under 20k . Clever people will not going to buy it . u are almost China brand HTC know your place or just die give up . Peace

  • that's a decent phone at that price.

  • bye Ahmed

  • In 2017 usb v2 bye htc

  • Does it really have NFC or not??

  • I doubt on Helio p10 Processor because i have tested that in other phones..i noticed lags as well as frame drops while playing high end games(alphalt 8, nova 3) but if the company optimizes it well then i think it would work out.

  • Looks like a mid range device to me...

  • HTC One X10 2017 is perfect. Why not? IP68 certified - dust/water proof over 1.5 meter and 30 minutes Mediatek MT6757 Helio P20 USB On-The-Go

  • HTC One X10 2017 is perfect. Why not? IP68 certified - dust/water proof over 1.5 meter and 30 minutes Mediatek MT6757 Helio P20 or Snapdragon 625/660 USB On-The-Go

  • HTC is still clearing their old stock, well at a very slow rate that everything they release is becoming obsolete 😫

  • Cheap thrills, low specs high prices.

  • Lol

  • Good Idea brok

  • That's just savage hahahh

  • We need an HTC 69 a Samsung Galaxy 69 Apple iPhone 69 anybody else feeling in

  • the X10 is the successor to the X9

  • I guess mtk helio p10 doesn't support 4K camera recording it's might be fake info. Use Snapdragon 625 or mtk X20 for best mid-range performance .

  • i really hate how they change the name of their successor. ie. One then M8 then M9 then 10 ... WTH

  • yes u r right

  • Pity HTC is dying. This device is mediocre at best. Hope they return to OEM builder to keep them afloat (they never stopped being OEM maker) and they return with something good.

  • It must be a mistake release in 2017? With these specs it suppose to say release in 2015.

  • Lool mediatek

  • Should go with P20.But,it's okay.
