HTC Ville - User Reviews

  • In Finland, it's a name ;)

  • This would've been a killer phone and a prime candidate to finally knock the Nokia N8 off its perch.

  • Uhhh, "Ville" first of all, and, secondly, it means "City" or "Town" in French.

  • not the best choice of names implying the phone is vile

  • it is the one s. . actually a variant . . a less powerful version actually. with a 1.7 gHz snapdragon s3 processor which is based on the 35 nm chipset .

  • This is just a rumor and it is likely to be a bit incorrect, the ville is the One S!

  • thats not the one s the one s has buttons

  • Peterzhu, the Vile is most likely cheaper than the One X, thus it will have to have allocations, a processor ( along with screen , camera , etc.) are some of the most common, besides, you probably won't need a 1.5 Dual core for many tasks, plus the AMOLED Screen sounds very good! Cheers, Henni PS I would love to get some feedback

  • This phone has already been released. It is the HTC One S and on the Three networks dealer system, the one s is known as the 'Ville'

  • No buttons?I like it?But has it has a camera button?

  • It is only duel core, international edition of the htc one x is quad core!

  • It is the HTC one S

  • Lets hope it launches real soon. This thing is perfect!

  • When this beauty and beast amalgamation will be launched..

  • The international one s is a dual core

  • It's beautiful htc one s with memory card :) My dream come true . . . .

  • its b.u.tful

  • It's dual core. This is probably the Americanized version. If I'm not mistaken, the international One S is quad core.

  • what the hell is it htc one s or a new phone specs looks identical

  • y haven't change the name to htc one s yet? htc. checked! ics. checked! amoled. checked! 4.3 inch. checked! dual core.checked! slim & compact.checked! aluminum unibody. most likely. finally, i've found the replacement(and a slight upgrades) for my desire s.

  • Battery sucks? It's 1650mAh in a really slim body so hopefully it'll be okay. If it comes to Amoled it's most definitely Samsung's and it's not true that they only make pentile ones. Actually they only made 2 pentile panels. On a side note this might finally be a good phone from HTC. If it's priced right this might be another Desire.

  • Do this use a real AMOLED? I know that SMD can make only pentile AMOLED. Anybody know?

  • Is this a real AMOLED? I know that SMD can make only a pentile AMOLED. Anybody know?

  • Battery suxxx!

  • I have a feeling that ville will have mkv support. Mkv is a growing format. Its becoming popular day by day. High quality and low file size.

  • Well, amoled screens do have better battery life and on the contrary, larger screens are better for multimedia. It also reduces the strain on your eyes. Trust me after using 3.4 inch phone for a month whilr doing all kind of things, my eyes strain. Well, people with smaller hands would prefer smaller screen.

  • I think this phone will not have the beats branding. But, may come with beats headphones or just the sound enhancer

  • Nice comment I totally agree. But sadly I don't think it will have all those things. I wish someone with common sense starts making these phones and not some over confident engineers who makes it for the money and don't actually use the thing. If I could I would send your comment to HTC personally with a petition saying "make ut this way"

  • Samsung Galaxy Note

  • yeah, ryt!

  • pictures: Video:

  • if this thing has a slighty bigger battery like 1850 mah 1 gb of ram beats and good camera damn i gonna buy it asap its will be an ass kicker compared to s2 :D:D

  • hi I wanted to know that having only one flash will make problems for me in the night?and where is the beats logo if HTC ville comes with one?

  • If u concerned about the size. HTC will be your safest bet compared to other brand. Most of HTC's phone are compact. Just compare yourself 4.3 Sensation vs 4.3 SgS2. But HTC not the thinnest. I'm eager to see how thin this phone gonna be.

  • Mobilemaster, these are rumored specs of this phone. It might have a battery with more mAh, however I doubt that will happen. Luckily we can buy batteries with bigger mAh. For HTC Sensation Anker sells 1900 mAh batteries, but Mugen sells 1800 mAh also 1950 mAh batteries. Noticeable increase in battery life.

  • a 0.3 inch should go for the software buttons which disappears when watching movies. So, while using the phone it should have 4.0 inch screen. while watching movies,a 4.3 inch screen.

  • I was hoping the same. As the SGS2 user, I feel it's bit large and want to switch to Desire S the other day. But when I saw the thing, my initial reaction was that 3.7" is so small.. lol! 4" would be all right size. But soon I realize that I would not get the top end specs with 4" screen because the Top Dog race is getting crazier. 4.7" or 4.5" are not uncommon today. They even push the limit to 5.3" So this Ville is my safest bet. I love Sense and the thinnest (unlike usual fatty HTC phones), and I'm more than happy with 4.3" screen equipped with latest Snapdragon chipset. Welcoming 2012!:D

  • Why isn't anyone producing smaller sized handsets, with screens 3.6" - 4.0", with the same kind of specs as these new phones?! Battery life and performance of such a handset would be superb.... Instead we have to drag around a 4.3" 'touch pad', which runs out of juice in less than a day..

  • What about Talk time and price?! :)

  • Leaker from Pocket now has pictures and confirmed that HTC Ville rumored to feature metal unibody design under 8mm thick, which should make it HTC's thinnest handset to date. Using Qualcomm"s new Snapdragon S4 processor, the 28nm new Krait core offers 60% performance increase and a new Adreno 225 GPU will also provide 50% faster graphics performance. Rumored specs of the HTC Ville include: * Android 4.0 out of the box * HTC Sense UI 4.0 * 4.3-inch qHD Super AMOLED display * 1.5Ghz dual-core Snapdragon S4 (MSM8960) * 8-megapixel backside-illuminated camera with 1080p HD video capture * Beats Audio * Metal construction case and just 8mm thick * 1650 mAh battery * NO NFC Support Expect HTC to debut the Ville at Mobile World Congress in late February. If the rumored release date holds true, we should see HTC Ville in stores by April. If you've been waiting on the secong generation of 4G LTE phones that are thinner and offer longer battery life, then pencil in the HTC Ville at the top of your wish list. There also HTC Edge will come up with quadcore processor and whopping 4.7-inch screen. I would pick thinner handset any day, but that's just me (;

  • Really, because I see 2: -a 28nm Snapdragon S4(+50% for CPU and 300% for GPU with almost the same consumption) -Suer AMOLED Advanced display

  • i dont think its rhe same as xperia, its far more powerfull ( best software and processor),and its a new phone so it will have less bugs

  • could have used a 720p display but ok 256ppi pixel density isn't bad

  • It has amazing quality.I like it .now we can say it give a tough competition to samsung galaxy

  • i see no difference from XE. hopefully they will atleast eliminate any problems sensation and XE have with reception.

  • Should called HTC HD4 :D

  • Don't worry about the battery when it has got a SAMOLED screen.hTC is conquering in the right path...

  • They are the smart phone leader, you should Google it. Samsung is a very good company.

  • nice design. looks like Motorola Defy, the best design ever! big screen (4,3) but dimensions still should be quite compact.

  • the only dissappointment - BATTERY :(

  • HTC with Super AMOLED? That's nice, now for God's sake just put a decent camera and this is my next phone.

  • samsung isnt the leader

  • looks unreal nothing exciting

  • This will be mine if it has a HDMI port,16 gigs of memory and secondary camera with 2mp

  • Hi! You're a Samsung fan right?? Then I understand why you replied him. Samsung is the leader.

  • It's a great phone, but the battery sucks. :( They should put a 1800 Mah battery.

  • Second post............But not waiting for the phone

  • first post ... waiting for the phone ...
