My Huawei G7002 has recently been deleting contacts and other random settings when it's in contact with my ear during a call. Is there anyway of changing the settings so the screen loses it's touch sensitivity whilst I have the phone to my ear. Apparently the iPhone has this feature though whether it is an option in the settings or not I have no idea. Thank you in anticipation.

Had this phone a year now cannot make or receive calls on it as I cnnot here the caller unless it is on handsfree and they cannot hear me at all in either mode!! Not impressed

Bought this phone for back up as my present phone on it.s wat out,it sat in my cupboard a few months now when i get it out nothing completely dead wont charge or nothing,any suggestion on getting it fixed or afaid it is for the bin waste of money

Would NOT recommend this phone.. Nothing but trouble. Looked to selling it on one of these sites that buys Mobiles, and they won't even entertain it at all... Not ideal for elderly ladies either. o2 recommended it to me, and obviously old stock they wanted to get rid off. Now o2 won't refund me or help me in my local shop, What a waste of money... o2 saw me coming. Second time they have ripped me off. Never again.

hi i've got the huawei g7002 and i've lost the touch screen pen,is there anywhere i can purchase a replacement as i'm very happy this phone and my fingers are too big for the touch screen pad as i keep pressing the wrong letter when texting and so on, your help in this matter would be appreciated thanks john

I've never had a problem with this phone, nearly had it a year now, my problem has now come with the fact that the bit where you put the charger in has simply disappeared inside the phone!!!

i wouldn't buy this phone working on an electrical desk had this returned many times because of various faults never had so many problems with one phone before.

Would not recommend this phone. As an OAP I was told it would be no problem, however 6 months I had to have the phone exchanged due to technical problems, o2 shop not very helpful in the first instant. However agreed it had a fault in the end, and returned to manufacturers. They sent a replacement, so lost all my photo's etc that had been on the first phone. Now 6 months down the line the replacement has done exactly the same thing. blocked insitu, and cannot open the phone to use at all. I am not amused at all. Anyone any ideas please.

while making a call if you press the phone icon at the bottom of the screen it will bring up the phone key pad then you can press the numbers that you want hope this was of some help to you

this phone is a stylish device but one problem is the stulus you only need it is when you change the keybord to qwerty you need the stylus.the huawei g7002 dosent have a 3.5 mm jack so you are forced to use the Mini USB port to have the headphones inserted or use a 3.5 mm to Mini USB adapter.the phone is only on o2 uk.in conclision the huawei g7002 is a brilliant phone star rating 4 1/2 stars!

got this phone a couple of days ago and every time i try to drag and drop stuff onto the memory card it crashes my computer. is it the memory card or what? cause when i have it in, the computer crashes again when i try to open the phone to put stuff on it but when take the card out it works again fine. what do i need to do?

There isn't one button option but instead of using quick search use 'search contact' and enter the first letter of contacts name or any other letter for that matter and the whole list will come on the full length of the screen. Also use the square silver edges of the button at the bottom of the phone to scroll up/down and sideways. Hope this helps

While writing a SMS you only get the option of a qwerty virtual keyboard or you can opt for a cardinal one as well?! the qwerty on this phone is impossible to use with your fingers because the phone is small.

Hi I purchased this phone for my dad and on his previous mobile he was able to press one button and all his contacts would be on the screen and all he then had to do was scroll down to the contact he wanted. However we cannot find a function like that on this phone. Yes you can do a quick search, but the screen with the contacts is tiny and its difficult to scroll through as the scroll bar is tiny also. Is there a way of displaying all your contact list on the full screen? Thanks.

at the first screen there is an arrow at the left side of the screen, click that, then drag the icons up and down and find a box with a picture of the grass in, after that drag it onto the first page and then just choose a background, hope it helps!

you have to be on the unlocked screen to switch off, so; unlock/hold red button for about 3 seconds. Same button to switch back on.

I recently purchased the Huawei G7002 as I wanted a cheap but effective phone for SMS and calling ONLY. I didn't want the camera, internet etc as I have an iPhone for that. I am trying to upload ringtones from itunes to my phone, but seem to be having a difficult time of it :O( can anybody help me out. I connected the USB lead to from computer to phone and transferred about 5-6 ringtones in to the Audio file. You see them copying in to the file, but when I disconnect the lead and look for the Audio, (even after refreshing) there is no music in the Audio :O( It worked once, and then I tried to put more in, and it was telling me that the disk was full. How can I get ringtones from itunes on to my phone, and use them as ringtones. PLEASE HELP I am becoming frustrated. Thanks. I have 12 days left to return the phone to O2

HI I've just bought the G7002 and am slowly finding my way around it. If you want to show your number have you tried going into Settings from the menu, Phone Setup, Display Characteristics, Show Owner Number.

Does anyone know where I can buy replacement earphones for Huawei G7002 - have tried O2, Maplins (for a USB mini adaptor) cannot seem to find it as an accessory on O2 site and Huawei site does not seem to sell direct as far as I can tell. Transferred files from computer no problem but when i put sd card in phone would only play 3 songs. Tried to change ring tone but it wouldn't do that either, so am left with embarrassing tone. Getting really annoyed with it now!

Seems like ur micro sd card is corrupt. Try inserting it into sum different celfone n c if it works fibe. If not, get hold of d person who sold u d sd card

This may be late but you have to actually pull the icon from the shotcut list into the middle of the screen then you can use it. Hope this helps. Carol

Music files have to be mp3 format and copied to the music directory.

I too had problems plaaying from the memory card. Forget about refreshing. The memory card has to be selected on the Pre Play List and not from the prefered storage method. From the menu select multimedia (camera icon).Select Audio Player (#5).Depending on how the phone is set depends what you see but you need to get to Audio Player screen.Top leftish select the Tools icon(a hammer) which displays the Pre Play List. The top icon lets you select memory card - left/right arrows. Hope this helps.

The predictive texting drove me mad.No-one seemed capable of finding how to change words until a young girl and lad in Curry`s found the answer.You choose your options by pressing the bottom lip of the large square button at the bottom of the phone (between the 2 phone buttons.Do not press the full square-just the lip.O2 were clueless,as were Tesco,and Haewei did not reply in my quest for the solution.

If you havent already figured out how to change background, go to what they call widget bar, l.h. edge of screen by tapping the arrow tab and then using pointer thingy slide down to sixth icon and drag it to main screen. Then choose new background.

Once you have loaded your mp3's, you need to refresh the list of audio files to put them into the "mymusic" folder. After that they will become available to play in the Audio player.

As you have found,touching the arrow brings out the list of icons. Now, touch and hold any icon and drag it onto the screen. when positioned (you can touch and hold at will to reposition) touch it again and it will expand to reveal its options. For example, the reminder icon lets you type a note and set a time etc.Hope this is enough to get you experimenting - have fun!

I've just got this phone for my daughter and have sorted out most things but does anybody know what the pull out menu on the left side of the main screen does. I press the arrow and a load of icons appear. I can move the list of icons up and down but cannot press on any. Very strange

Don't know if you realise but you can adjust volume whilst on a call by pressing the larger silver button on the right hand side. I personally find call volume very good from this phone.

I believe you need to put the sd card into your computer to allow copying of files. I think it does not allow drag and drop onto the sd card whilst in the phone. You need a "card reader" with correct size slot but when you buy an sd card it usually comes with an adapter. I just got one on an auction site, a 2mb card + adapter for under a fiver. You can sometimes get a card reader from a pound in a certain well known store or very cheaply in many places/online. HTH.

Ok, the phone as a whole is pretty good, a few things annoy me though, the speaker is quite quiet on the phone and even with a memory card i can not seem to be able to play music i have put on from my computer. The camera is low mp, but fine for me

I have had this phone for 3 days and it's ok, not as straight forward to operate as I would have hoped and the User Guide isn't much help!!! I bought a MicroSD Card for it today, but I was wondering how the hell I can transfer MP3's from my computer to my phone? I got my G7002 yesterday and have alredy figured out a few things. To change the ringtone you press the down button when you are on the first screen that comes up (the one with the background)after you have done that go down to tone setup. Then go into incoming call and choose a ringtone if you want music then all you have to do is click on one of the empty spaces it will come up with one option "REPLACE" click on that and choose your music that you want.
