Huawei Nexus 6P - User Reviews

  • If you get no life when plugging in the charger then it must battery. I suggest to open it up and pop in a new battery mine did the same and came back to life afterward. :)

  • Battery problem

  • I bought a battery on eBay for $10 and had it installed for $30. Now my Nexus 6P is like new

  • You need a battery replacemeny , it will be fine again .

  • Yeah mine too battery doesn't last, shutdown when 90 percent

  • Yeah, heat up battery issue. Mine is going into a trash can soon.

  • Worked great (fantastic) as a smart-device, sadly they never did fix the microphone noise cancelling issue so I couldn't call it a great smart-Phone.

  • Don't buy it, Processor heat up issue.

  • Didn't Trump bann and put bug sanction on these phones?

  • Battery not holding up 2.5 years, now down to 5 or 6 hours With most apps off & screen dark.

  • Battery backup not good plz help me what's I do for that

  • It was the best mobile in the world. Very very very good

  • It would be a really solid phone if the battery worked properly, even if it did I doubt the battery life is great on this phone. I have the random shutdown and fast drain problem, if you do too do not replace the battery as the problem is with the controller and board itself so it will not fix it.

  • Google and Huawei Will Pay $10 Million for Faulty Nexus 6P Phones !

  • Time for a battery replacement, probably. Download accubattery and allow it to take measurements.

  • Try factory reset the device.

  • My nexus 6P only stays like 30 minutes with battery saver The battery drains alot: from 90% to 0%

  • I can help anyone having issues with there nexus 6p if it's software related

  • Hi... I have nexus 6p from December 2016 but in November 2018 it went in bootloop, when i restart it stucks at google logo. i have tried many thing, without any luck. anybody can help me please in order to fix this issue? Thanks in advance!!

  • I had the same issue - just needs the battery replaced. Very simple to replace and the battery is found on amazon. No more than $20 for the battery. While you're in there you may as well replace the charging port cause that also seems to fail. Only thing that sucks with the aftermarket batteries is they do not have quick charge. But you're phone wont fail at 60% charge.

  • Does it support VOLTE (jio sim)

  • @SARA used this link to download the pie for 6p.

  • The phone is amazing but huawei made a mess of the battery. I have phones older than this with better battery life. Right now I get 2mins from full charge and it dies without warning. It is a powerhouse that looses value because of the battery issue.

  • Good battery backup, Both cameras are awesome.

  • Fantastic phone for tinkerers with all the custom rom options to select it keeps the experience fresh and up to date at all times even if support from google has ended. This is a phablet type of device and it shows in its bulky weight and size although it never feels too large or clumsy to use just needs a case because the sleek metalic body is prone to slips. I recommend this for any tech/phone/android enthusiast and anyone looking for a great phone on a budget, these can be picked up for under $200 and work as good as new $1000 flagships.

  • Can u pls guide which forums to visit to do all these upgrades that u did ?

  • I have had this phone for three (3) years and I do have a slight amount of screen burn from constantly having my scanner open in the game Ingress. It's been a great phone, though I have had to pay to have the battery replaced about every 1.5 years. I replaced with OEM batteries and it cost about $60 to get it installed. The volume on the phone is only audible when you're in the 75-100% range which is stupid, but it's still been the best phone I've ever had. The rear camera is fantastic.

  • Bud where do you live in Karachi my 6p's bootloader isn't unlocking.. :(

  • The battery is internal. Meaning you have to remove the outer casing of the phone and install a new battery to the motherboard. If you don't feel comfortable doing this yourself, you should take the phone to your local phone technician and pay a fee to have it replaced for you.

  • is this phone with burn screen issues?

  • Downgrading is possible. Just flash Last factory image of Nougat build and then flash MM factory image. Be careful not to flash OTA package. Flash through Nexus tool kit. I have done both upgrading and dowbgrading without any issues.

  • How did you do this when we are told after the 8.1.0 update its impossible to downgrade

  • i just bought a near-new nexus 6p here in karachi, pakistan. unlocked the bootloader, flashed twrp, installed PIE and rooted with Magisk. runs beautifully and smoothly. this cell phone has a LOT of life in it. google should keep "officially" updating this phone. it's a powerhouse, for a good price.

  • Just brought a used 6p for 120$. Unlocked and flashed Pie. Back to Oreo then back to Nougat and back to MM. The beast runs smoothly on all four versions of Android. Good display good battery life and a premium phone.

  • hi robert, i am also facing the same bootloop issue on my nexus 6p and am not able to switch it on in working mode. please guide me how to fix my nexus 6p. thanks & regards,

  • hi all i have replaced motherboard of my 6p bcoz of bootloop its on 7.1 version.should i update it to 8.0 or not...i afraid after 8.0 it can create problems again.

  • There's a good app to control and save some battery life. Also you can learn a little bit about battery life from that app. It's an AccuBattery, available at Google Play Store.

  • The phone eventually flashes the red LED for me too, but only if I get from a cold temperature to a warm temperature and try to turn it on.

  • I've had the Nexus 6P since the end of summer. I bought it from a chap who was selling it unused on OfferUP for 80 dollars. It worked perfectly until it fell on the ground about 3 weeks ago. Now the battery cuts at 20% and the phone overheats. Also the OEM USB-C to USB-C charger cable failed on me.

  • Good telephone, but has only battery problem. And additionally I am very annoyed with button place, often I reset my phone by accidentally pressing power button.

  • You give it to shop certified technician. After two years I have second battery. This phone has by my humble two causes of bad battery: 1.No defend against overcharging. 2. Overheating when running demanding applications ( like Waze ). This two causes make battery to degrade quickly. Against overcharging I use Charge Alarm set to 95% charge. But may be it has not effect. Aniway , not Google, not Huawei does not mention how to treat battery, in order to,prolong battery life.

  • How u change it

  • Oops, I snapped the phone in half, any help?

  • Had problems with battery after 1,5 years of use. Now new battery and display unit chanced. For warranty. Splendid again!

  • It's Working Fine But Not Much Fine, When i purchase it, it gave 7 hour battery timing but now it's only giving 3-4 hour on wifi.. I think i need to change battery now..

  • For those of you who have troubles with this phone consider upgrading to pixel xl

  • I replaced my nearly a year ago and the battery life is back to how it was when I bought it. There are loads of YouTube videos about this such as You need a bit of patience but it really isn't difficult.

  • How is your working now?

  • In the specs for the Nexus 6 P it says that the battery is not removable. How do you replace it then?

  • I just want to know .I have nexus 6p 32 gb model no H1512 .it has been on bootloop since 8months.I can buy its motherboard from ali express .there are 2 models showing H1512 and H1511.please tell me if I choose H1511 will it work .because H1512 is listed for 64 gb.please clarify..

  • It is not correct. Battery in my nexus 6p was replaced about 5 months ago, no problems. Works like new.

  • Piece of junk. Good for millenials with lady fingers. Cant pick the thing up without touching the buttons. Worst phone I have ever owned. Slow, No extra storage. Piece of junk

  • May I know what should be ideal battery timing for this cell

  • I was told by Project Fi you can't change the battery in the Nexus 6p. That it's a inbuilt battery. So not sure what you did to your phone.

  • Jeff, I also really like my 6P as well but after 2.5 years the battery life was getting shorter and shorter. I went to my local Cell Phone repair shop and they replaced it at a cost of $75 CDN and voila my battery life was like new. BUT unfortunately 3 weeks later my 6P wouldn't turn on (red flashing LED of death). Took it back to the same repair store for checking and they determined the motherboard needed to be replaced. I ended up getting a different phone from my Cellular provider. Too bad, since I really enjoyed my Nexus 6P

  • Having this phone more then 2 years. Changed battery and it works like new.

  • This is the worst phone i've had, it first gave me battery problems and had it replaced, then it started acting sluggish and finally got stuck in the google logo. Consider another another option because you will end up spending a lot more money than the current phone value.

  • This is not an issue with the phone bro..this is a feature of the mobile network...when you make a call it will disconnect internet and only phone call will work...

  • Finally my nexus 6p died because of battery problem Only survive 1 mount

  • Sadly, I got one of the ones that is among the horror stories. It crashes out between 70% and 95%. I can sometimes take several pictures before it fully crashes into a boot-loop, sometimes I can take just ONE photo. Brought it in to a repair place - a guy who literally fabricates parts for phones from scratch - he looked at the model and said "buy a new phone. It is rarely only the battery. We can try to replace it, and I'll just charge the cost of the battery ($30) and labour - but chances are extremely good that it'll be much more to fix." A good phone WHEN it worked... but it's got bottom-of-the-barrel hardware. Embarassingly bad for a $900 phone.

  • A lot of the comments are about the Nexus 6P. I would suggest backing up your data and then doing a full restore. If that doesn't fix the battery problems it's most likely hardware related and also more than likely the battery itself. You can find the tutorial about how to fix it yourself on iFixit or you can have a company like RxTech Repair or UBreakifix do it for you. This phone is still a beast minus the battery problems.

  • Yesterday, I Purchased Nexus 6p then Update oreo 8.1 ( aug Patch ) battery Timing Is Very Good.. it give 5-6 hours on Movies.. on Web Browsing 4-5.. somewhere it's great battery timing... No lag ... And one more greatest thing is camera is a most beautiful...

  • This was one of the best phones I ever had, but the battery didn't last. It was ninety dollars US to replace the battery.

  • One of the best phones i have ever had. Had it for 2 years, replaced the battery and it worked like new. Highly recomended

  • Finally my nexus 6p died because of battery problem Only survive 1.5 years

  • because it is an alien species. the real word is nexus .

  • My Nuxus aint charging

  • I have my nexus 6P on its second battery (replaced myself) and its three years old. FYI Huawei are BS! My device often will die and not turn back on, or go into a bootloop, theres a simple fix for me, all I have to do is pull the back off the phone (its really not that hard, just lots of heat and patience with the glass, once its off once its much easier) and then unplug the batteries connection lead, then plug it back in. This generally works every time :D

  • I bought nexus 6P in march 2016. Battery was working great till dec 2017. 2018 onwards i have to use power bank but is not that bad considering the device aging. With the timely software updates , this phone is working great for me.

  • Oh! No! ... snapchat is not optimized on android! ... I'll cut my veins with a cookie ...

  • Dude, can You Suggest me which phone would be better ? I want to buy a phone with better battery and camera..

  • snap chat is laggy on most android phones, It's just poorly optimised on Android.

  • don't buy you will end up with big money loss its battery works like hell ! i have it

  • Google nexus what is there two sim cards?

  • Should I Buy This phone ? Anyone here who tell me about this phone's Battery life and camera ?? And one question, do you have any network droping issue in this phone ? My lg g4's Network always drop whenever i go somewher and even drop in home...

  • No, i use a Nexus 6p in 2018 and i am going to buy another phone because almost any Nexus 6p has a problem with the battery. When you are using the nexus 6p for a while it's going to be slow. For example i can't use Snapchat without much lag.

  • Should I buy this phone in 2018...?

  • That is a know issue. If you are technically gifted you can exchange the battery for a new one yourself (I bought mine on aliexpress). Or ask your local repair shop if they would do it. The disassembly guide on ifixit helped me a lot,

  • Bought the phone in August 2016. Started getting battery issues a month ago where the phone would shut down at 30% then slowly it started shutting off at 70%. Now the battery has completely died and wont even turn on when plugged in.

  • Same here purchased on Jan 27, 2016 died after one year. As everybody said it was the best phone I have ever bought. I am switching to either HTC or Samsung.

  • when did you purchase it?

  • Really? I might purchase

  • For all those that are saying that this doesn't last, my 6p is still going strong. It is still really fast, and charges really fast(depending on charger used). Its standby battery is still great. Usually it is an app that is destroying the battery life.

  • Normally it's the law that they give you a device lasting for a "reasonable" time. 2 years for a supposedly top-of-the-line device at top dollar price is not reasonable

  • Don't buy a Google Phone!! The Huawei Nexus 6P Phone lasts about 6 months before you start having battery problems amongst other issues. The battery runs out very quickly (1~ 3 hours) and the phone shuts down unexpectedly with around 20% battery or just random restarts.

  • Bought Nexus 6p in mid 2016 after reading tons of good reviews online but it died in less than 2 years. The device is still working well albeit the occasional stutter (I don't really mind) but all of a sudden, it shuts down and went into bootlop (kept restarting at the Google screen) so I sent to Huawei service center for repair and according to their engineers and 'official instruction from Huawei', if the device encountered this issue, the motherboard needs to be changed and it cost me RM900+, might as well buy a new device. Pretty weak life span for a device that was highly raved by reviewers.

  • My Nexus 6p went to bootloop (Canada). I called Huawei but they are very strict with their one year warranty. My advice for everyone NEVER BUY A GOOGLE PHONE

  • my phone become very slow after upgrade to 8.0, is there any s olution?

  • Apart from the battery issue which has been deeply deployed and discussed in this forum with no visible solution am now facing another issue with my Nexus 6p bought in September 2016 : when talking in a phone call the internet signal disappear and back when call hanged up. It's useful to go have a look at your planning stored in OneDrive for any confirmation or reply to a friend guest or customer. Has anyone faced such a problem and if yes has it been solved and how? Thanks

  • I got this phone in early 2016, and it's the most reliable phone I've ever had in terms of battery life and barely ever randomly shutting off. After 2 years of average use the battery is definitely dwindling. If I'm using a demanding app for half an hour, I'll probably lose 40% of my battery. But with light use, it lasts about 1.5 days most of the time. I've been lucky not to have the boot loop problems. Still wouldn't recommend because of all the problems other people have with this phone.

  • It's an amazing phone. But sadly the Qualcom SD810 was the worst in the life. On the updates from google the phone goes to the Bootloop of Death. I bought it and I couldn't put Oreo (Android 8) to work, because it loops over and over again. I had to disable one of the quadcore cpu to restore the Nougat (Android 7.1.2) back to life. I lost days inverted in making it work. But the CAMERA ufff, wow. This is a camera. The sound, the screen, amazing construction, solid. But Google chosed a horrible cpu and the official updates were a real garbage.

  • Was a great phone until it wasn't. TONS of issues, NONE addressed by Google though I repeatedly notified them about them through the specified channels. All this long before the phone was even two years old. 1. Notification volume spontaneously reverted to highest on a regular basis. 2. Screen timeout continually & spontaneously reverted to 16 seconds. 3. Phone started bootlooping. Google offered to sell me a new phone. I got it fixed through one click root for $45. 4. Battery started dying, phone shut off at 40% of battery life. I junked the phone and got something new. Project Fi was OK service, but the Nexus 6P was bad and Google did not stand behind it. I have had 4 or 5 Android phones over the years and the only one not working to this day is the newest, the Nexus 6P.

  • DO NOT buy this phone. Sadly although it was one of the best devices I ever used it is ditching you soon after warranty expires and hundreds of people have faced the bootloop issue as I have. Huawei and Google simply point fingers at each other and service centre asked to pay 20,000 INR to replace motherboard. DO NOT go for any such devices at all where there are two companies involved it always gives them a chance to play a blame game and keep the customer shuttling till he gives up. Shame on Google and Huawei! Do not buy PIXEL or any Huawei or any Google Phone.

  • I am facing the same issue and Google and Huawei are simply pointing fingers at each other and not even repairing it let alone replacing. Did they help you in any way at all?

  • The antena died as soon as the warranty was over :(

  • I got this device back in December 2016 due to unavailability in my region. I upgraded it immediately to Nougat and it worked perfectly fine. Luckily, I'm one of those users not plagued by the dreaded boot loop. I'm now running 8.1.0 (Oreo) and screen on-time is about 3-4 hours with mixed use (gaming, web browsing, video playback, camera shooting). Idle time is still remarkable, and this phone can get by with a single charge for a full day of light-moderate use most of the time. I'm just a bit disappointed that I can no longer play AAA mobile games on high settings with smooth framerates like PUBG, but hey, the Snapdragon 810 is already an old processor, and driving a 1440p screen is well above its capabilities when it comes to demanding games. I get that. The device now also shows signs of performance degradation with micro-stutters every now and then, but they're tolerable. I'm still planning to use this device until December of this year, before I upgrade it to hopefully, a Pixel 3.

  • this phone is way to big for most pockets and with the power button and volume buttons so close together i would never buy another one

  • bettery life is worst higly recomended not to buy worst phone ever used

  • Purchased my Nexus 6p on March 2016. till now it was working fine. Today suddenly encountered bootloop death. Never expected a flagship phone from a reputed company like this. Owners situation will be terrible after spending a whole month salary for such a flagship phone and finally unexpected death like this.

  • Battery half-dead after 6 months and trash after one year of heavy use (CPU throttling and 2-3 hours screen-on-time). I know that Snap 810 was quite a dissapointment, but with this level of battery degrading - good device gone total trash.

  • Battery got really bad after one year of average use.

  • Battery flakes with time, really badly, and its extremely difficult to replace. I get about 15 minutes of screen time now. Yuck.

  • My Nexus 6P cannot use Wifi in China. Online info tells that this was due to its special online Wifi verification via a China blocked web site.

  • Really an awesome device. Performance is very good. Camera also Amazing and such a great DSLR with cameraNX app. Love my device. Thanks Google.

  • I got it in December 2015 and trust me haven't come across any issues at all till date ...successfully upgraded it Everytime ..still loving it

  • Got it a few years back. Encountered some software problems in the beginning relating video playback but after a few patch releases everything went back to normal. No issues since then. Hands down - best android phone I've had yet.

  • I got my Nexus 6p on October 2015. After updating to nougat the battery drains quickly and the performance was okay. After the Oreo update battery backup was so poor and the performance and memory management was worst. Still love this device and it's camera but it's performance was unbearable. Last week I was unlocked the bootloader and rooted my device to install custom ROM (lineage OS 14.1) so I downgrade my device to 7.1.2 and flashed the lineage OS 14.1 now it's performance is so great but sadly battery backup is like before. If you need a good performance you may install custom ROM. You should be happy with its performance. Note: Lineage OS is very stable than others.

  • Got mine since dec 2015 and since last year battery drain issues and shuts down at 45% I blocked all the updates since Android 6.0.1 build MTC20L. I got scared after all the known issues. So far, it still works but I need to charge it twice a day

  • Loving it for now. No major issues so far.

  • good morning crew any burn screen or ghost screen on this?

  • Same issue here also. Bought Nexus 6P in India. The phone is going into bootloop. Huawei, the hardware people blames Google and Google passes the buck onto Huawei. Problem still unresolved. The Authorised Service Centre is asking for INR 11,500/- (1/3rd of the original cost i.e. INR 42,000/-) for replacement of Motherboard. Will never repeat the same mistake again. All, please beware of both Huawei & Google.

  • got my nexus 6p @decembre 2015, and in the last year it does not survive one day without charging, my nexus turns off in the cold weather at 50%-70%, this is totally terrible, i cant turn it on until ive got a charger. I will never buy any Smartphone by Google

  • Bought two of these, both phones would randomly reboot. The batteries started to really degrade after 14 months. After 20 months both phones had limited battery life, so I had to be careful what I used them for away from a charger. Both phone batteries have lost about 60-70% of their capacity and the units are being sent back under warranty. Shame, the phones are otherwise nice. I don't like phones without easily swappable batteries because of this phone.

  • sue #google and #huawei

  • Amazing! Had this phone for 14 months now. It started slowing down in performance progressively, over the past 6 months. And all of the sudden it just got stuck at the Google boot screen. I guess that's what everyone calls it the endless bootloop. Well, it is certainly stuck in some look. Awful phone and not worth the money. What is the fix for this? Does anyone know?

  • Very high maintenance for an expensive smartphone. Shouldn't have to go through all this to make it work right.

  • had this phone and thought it was great until the last 6 months .Now the battery can't hold a charge. I decided to just go with a cheap phone as a replacement because I figure eventually even if I have to replace the cheap phone 3 times in the next 3 years it will be cheaper than shelling out for another top of the range.

  • Used for less than 18 months. Got bootloop of death. Newegg/Huawei/Google all not helpful at all. Had to purchase another device.

  • In the same boat. Bought it in USA, moved to Asia. Now my battery is completely shot. I ordered a battery for it on Ebay but 3 weeks later still hasnt arrived. SMH. not doing this again.

  • Same here. I bought from Google and they don't stand behind their products even though there are known defects.

  • They usually brick within 14 months

  • Still killing, been using it since 2 years and I love it

  • Should i buy nexus 6p???

  • same issue with my device but i purchased nexus 6P on15th January

  • After using this phone for a year, I dropped it and now experiencing issues with the LCD, and it's extremely laggy now. It served it's purpose though. I love the camera and will miss it the most. Can't find another phone with such a great camera.

  • How is it now?

  • Hi! How is it now? Did you buy it used, refurbished, or new?

  • Had bought phone from US to use here in Asia. Phone shuts down at 98% battery remaining. Local Huawei won't service saying the model was not launched here. Tried to purchase battery from Huawei India when travelling there, Huawei India says they only sell to device purchased in India. Had ordered OEM battery from China via eBay. But before the battery could arrive, Bootloop error has started! The phone has two major universal flaws: Battery and Bootloop. Got both at the same time! How good a phone is known after a year of use. This device falls under the pathetic bracket, same for Huawei & Google. $600 down the drain!

  • Most likely the reason for what you are experiencing is that google released a fix to a couple virus that some bastard planted on the net to screw things up In the process it tends to slowdown some equipment i.e. , phones , tablets laptops desktops may be affected

  • I am using Nexus 6P from last 15 months, it is a very stable device but now i am experiencing lag in performance specially after Jan 2018 security update. Many times during call screen goes black and nothing is happening even power and volume buttons not working at that time.

  • im fed up to use my nexus 6p always error over heating error gsm error sim card error

  • I got my Nexus 18 months ago, the battery is still working perfectly, the only problem that presents me, is when making calls, the people who respond to me hear their return voice, out of that, the performance has always been the best.

  • Yes. I am facing the similar issue, however the performance has stabilized with last update. I am not sure if replacing the battery will help. Lets just hope the issue gets solved with a later update soon.

  • Had a Nexus 5 that had boot

  • I replaced the battery about a month ago, on Android 8.0.0 I'm getting about 3 hours of screen on time, using mostly Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat moderately throughout the day.

  • I'm having the battery drain problem after 14 months of owning this phone and of course it's out of warranty. Does replacing the battery actually work when it comes to replacing the battery? Anyone still experiencing this problem after replacing battery? Other than sending back to Huawaei where have others had their batteries replaced? Any local places for those who respond? I keep reading to downgrade to Nougat (think that's right)? how and where do I find instructions on how to do that and does it really resolve the problem?

  • Paid 2500pesos ($50) for a new battery....bought the phone last Feb2016 using it as a backup phone now

  • When battery indicated 40% the smartphone turn off

  • Do not update Nexus 6P to Oreo, you run the risk of it becoming unusable for a eternal bootloop.

  • I just reached out to Huawei and they told me the same thing. I wish they could learn from google and just take responsibility.

  • This phone is great. It's just a shame that it has battery issues. I don't over charge it battery is at 50 percent and phone turns off. Tried calling Huawei no help they trying to charge me over $150 to send it and they saying they will replace battery and send it back. Customer service is awful. The phone can be great just unreliable battery and company.

  • Best phone so far. People with battery problems probably charges overnight or don't remove the charger when it reached 100% after abot an hour or so.

  • Nexus 6P Super

  • literally the worst phone i have ever owned. smartphones i had before it were symbian phones, then a htc desire, wildfire and one m8 and one x. this Huawei is the worst phone i have ever owned. got it in december 2015 and from very early it had battery issues, now the battery doesnt last longer than 20 minutes and shuts down at 60%. Apps crash a lot, apps often seem sluggish, i have always found the camera to be horrendous with patchy images especially at night time, they pics are horrid. i have reset the phone numerous times and tried all the fixes with no joy. the phone recently updated to android 8.1.0 and its now become slower with micro pauses and it wont now connect to 3G or 4G even after another factory and cache reset and just installing basic apps like whatsapp. i have become so annoyed with it i have thrown it as the wall a few times. ill just buy a cheaper phone next when my contract runs out end of december 2017, a phone with removable battery. all these non removable battery phones are crap anyway by end of year one.! Never touching Huawei again!!! naff!

  • Keeping updated but also factory data reset wipes memory of unnecessary bits the device needs to try and hang onto. I also carry a 10,000 MW type C port rechargeable back up battery and type C cable so I can charge the phone quick when I'm not using it right then. Great idea about keeping a standard type USB cable I also do that when it's on my desk. Android software Nougat, has suggested the on device photo cache could be trimmed from time to time to help with battery life and I have done this too.

  • This change up battery is a bit long winded with heating glue.....its bound to get messy. Then to put back together becomes the issue. I guess there are no smart phones with true replaceable batteries anymore i.e. open back and replace as quickly as this sentence. I'll give the replace a miss and express my disappointment with a warranty claim.

  • You can change battery, its not even that difficult, just watch replacing videos from net and you could do it by yourself.

  • Excellent phone but way too expensive for the duration of the battery. Got my phone 13 months ago and had to change the whole phone since it is impossible to change only the battery. That is simply unacceptable. You don't pay that price for a year of usage. And why throw away a good phone only for a dead battery?

  • Have own the 6P for almost 2 years. It has been a great phone. Never had any battery drain issues. The only thing I wish it had is an SD card slot.

  • For all those people experiencing battery drain issues, let's try these steps: 1. update to latest Android version and then root using magisk.zip latest version. 2.Remove all system apps from phone which you find useless or never used using titanium backup apk. 3.replace google now launcher with pixel 2 xl modded launcher (nexusprebuiltlauncher.apk) and then delete stock goggle now launcher. 4.Always keep brightness minimum and turnoff adaptive automatic brightness change.Turn on adaptive Brightness only when using phone in dark.since, this lower the brightness to real minimum than manual minimum brightness. 5.use dark wallpapers like grey or black like. 6.charge your phone with normal charger of 1amp instead of fast charger. This will increase battery life and produces less heat.use fast charger only when yiu are in hurry. 7.Use VIBRAFIX APK from playstore to mute all annoying vibration like fingerprint, double press power buttton,ok google response etc etc. This will increase battery life. Turn off vibration, notifications, touch etc sound. 8. Alwayas update each third party apps for less battery consumption. 9.use greenify to hibernate apps which doesn't require to in the background all the time except whatspp, imo etc. 10.Customize your phone setting to basic simple and less features. 11. Alwayas keep eye on battery consumption in setting by individual apps. 12. Don't use phone while charging. 13.Prefer to charge in switchoff mode. 14.Turnoff data, location, auto rotation, sync, Bluetooth, wifi auto search etc. when not in use. 15.Use ad blocking lists to add in hosts file to block all ads. search in xda mother of all ad blocking sites.replace your hosts file with this. 16. Turn off all unnecessary features in settings.

  • Just replace the battery it is like 20 eur in price. i have done it myself, pterry easy. if you break lens cover it is cheap as well. another 10 eur. so for about 30 eur you have nearly brand new device with oreo (in case you care, i dont)

  • Guys.. I am using this phone for last 14 months... This Nexus 6p is good with camera and sound but it has two major issues... One is battery die down fast and the next one is the major one Bootloop issue.... So many peoples are facing this issue with this nexus 6p.. If the problem detected under warranty time then you are lucky.... There is no replacement for out of warranty people ... This phone used to struggle with new updates and crashes down it's motherboard... If i bought a mobile for rs 30000/-.. It goes for 13 months that is meaningless... If you want to repair the motherboard then It will cost 23000/-....so my suggestion is don't buy this mobile... If this Bootloop issue occurs in nexus 6p then neither huwai or Google want to attain it..... They will play some blame game and they will swing you as pendulum...For wise people it's more than enough....

  • Battery is probably dead. If it is that it's not related to software. It's just charging the phone day by day for about a year and a half.

  • كبير وقبي&;#1581; و يسخن كثير&;#1575;ً.. هاتف غبي Big and ugly and heats a lot..Stupid phone

  • Have owned the phone for about 18 months time to trash it. Poor sound quality most of the time (even though i am on a major wireless network). Severe Battery issues........phone shows Zero battery and shuts off when it reaches 40% - 45% battery level. plugin the charger and it shows it has 50% charge. the charge holds for less than 4 hours of use a day. wend through the drill of deleting apps, factory reset etc....but no change to the phone... I had left the Apple camp about 4 years back, first tried the HTC 1, which had to be trashed after a about 2 years, thought being a google product would help and choose the Nexus 6P and time to trash the phone after 18 months. Guess it is time to go back to the Apple Tree :(

  • Good phone with a nice camera and great performance but bad battery life.

  • I want to sell my Huawei mate 8 to get this phone but is it worth it?

  • Hey Mark, What version of Android are you using? This battery issue only seemed to happen to me after updating to 7, wondering if maybe I should downgrade to 6 or upgrade to 8 until this is fixed. I am also having the exact same problem, my phone only lasts for basically an hour if I actually use it, and definitely shuts down at 25% if not sometimes at a higher percentage. Sometimes even around 35% when watching a YouTube video or my phone is *slightly* could from waiting for the bus...

  • Neither Google nor Huawei will take responsibility for this battery drain issue that makes the phone unusable. If you are under warranty, you will have some options but if you're not then you're screwed. Which really sucks since the phone can be just over a year old, in excellent condition otherwise but basically becomes unusable like so many people have noted.

  • I tried changing the battery on mine and it seems better. Maybe that is worth a shot?

  • Hi all - frustrated owner of a 6P where the phone is basically useless due to the battery/power issues. This really needs to be fixed, especially after the microphone situation. Mine will go from 100-25% in a couple hours and then shut off at 25%. Was really looking forward and equally disappointed with the Oreo update.

  • The same started for me after the Android 8 updated. Now I can NOT use my phone for even 10 mins before it shuts down. It will go from 100% battery to 40% in a blink and then shuts off.

  • This phone bends easily.

  • Are kidding man. Note 4 is an old story.

  • No screen burn in. In 6p it's Samsung screen. Burn in issue is with LG screen that's in pixel 2 only. But they have already given update to sort it out. In new update you can turn interface in black mode when applying dark wallpaper.

  • can someone let us know if experiencing screen burning in this device? should i have mate 8 or nexus 6p?

  • Mine turn off at anything below 48%. It started after 7.0 but the Oreo update has killed it.

  • I'm coming up to the two year anniversary for this phone. The only con was the battery. For example, if the phone is at 20%, it would shut down automatically. I am aware of the battery problems of the Nexus 6P. Recently visited a local cellphone repair shop and had the battery replaced. At the moment, I'm using Android Oreo (8.0.0.) and will continue using my Nexus 6P until the next phone upgrade (Samsung Galaxy Note 8).

  • downgrade it to Nougat.

  • note 4 is having hanging and restarting problem and later on it will dead same like mine note 4

  • Galaxy note 4 better than this battery draining device

  • I am still able to do it. The thing i m not able to is cast my screen in a windows laptop

  • Dan it seems your battery has weared out. You have to visit service centre and ask for a new battery. 30 bucks should be the cost for replacement.

  • Do not buy. Battery randomly stops at 50% Battery last 1 1/2 hours after 1 1/2 years No warranty.

  • after I upgraded to oreo I can no longer update my APN settings. its set to default and its grayed out and there is no option to create a new apn. help me pls

  • poor battery and over heat

  • 6p's not given any update for that. In your phone~about phone, in feedback option, we should write to them directly.

  • I've updated in oreo. bt I'm not getting the volte support in nexus 6p. what should I do?

  • You are covering proximity sensor. Its not with 6p only if you do this to any other phone you will see this problem. Remove tempered glass and buy a another one with sensor cutout.

  • Don't update. First unroot it. Otherwise you will brick your phone.

  • At last. I can't upgrade and dump this piece of rubbish. I'm not sure what I'll have but guess what? It won't be a Google phone.

  • no, it doesn't fix the battery issue

  • root and pure nexus with custom kernal and ex kernal apk is the way to fix all these issues and the vipermod is fantastic check it out on xda or youtube

  • I had this problem for a while and it was because of screen protector, try to change it or remove it altogether , It might work for u too

  • I have 6p🙄🙄🙄 When I call to someone every single time to push volume rocker up, to increase calling volume. Proximity sensor problem may be.😶🙄 UK and Canada Google offers replacement 6p to pixel xl 😋 India 🙄🙄🙄&#128544;😠???

  • After about two years of experience with this phone, I can say that this phone is really very bad and it has many issues. you cannot even confirm if the issues are hardware or software related. Two of my friends are complaining of very poor sound quality to hear the people on the other side when they making calls but I do not have this issue. On the other side, my proximity sensor has a Fatal problem it does not detect the distance to my face which makes the screen to remain black during the call even I move the phone away from my face and I suffer from this bloody problem since one year and a half without no response from Google or Huawei !!!!!!!!!! I can not imagine that this bloody product is the official competitor to Apple

  • Go to mobile network then access point - change APN settings to different mode. you can feel the 4G speed

  • I'm using Nexus 5X and getting volte sound. No reliance Jio software updated. Please reset the the phone

  • I'm from India, using LG nexus 5X and Huawei Nexus 6P. Last week I've updated android Oreo version (almost 1GB). Very fast and visually very attractive software. I'm using reliance Jio and vodafone 4G sim. I've no other issues related to Volte, and getting very accurate HD voice. One thing you should remember that, always update latest version google play services. May be that is the problem of someones.

  • I am not tech savvy guys but i just want to ask since i got a rooted nexus 6p and today i got a pop up informing me that my phone is ready for update to Android O. I just want to know if its ok for me to update my phone though its rooted or i have to unroot it first before updating the to Android O? Pls help.. :)

  • Stop blaming others when you bricked a phone yourself while trying to root and play with it like a noob. If your boot loader is unlocked you can push android on your own.

  • Shame on Google and Huawei .. they bricked my phone. After update it went to boot loop issue.... never ever trust collaborative phones from 2 different companies , they will blame each other instead of solving. Lg had same boot loop issue and they replace/refined money in India.

  • Nexus 6P receives Oreo Update

  • I agree with this issue. I have faced the same problem.

  • Brother can u please tell the link which can help me to file a complant against my nexus divice

  • No volte support india..nither google nor huawei providing volte update.. Waste fone in future point of view...

  • May as well use your Nexus phones for a paper weight, google and Huawei are a disgrace and I'm spreading the word and will never touch any of their products again, twitter facebook here I come.

  • Stay away from this phone. I had it replaced in December 2016 while still under warranty because the screen issue not my fault by any means. The recent Android update just killed the device completely as it sent Nexus 6P into the bootloop. Huawai refused to replace it since the warranty expired several month ago. There is a class action lawsuit against Google and Huawai (google it)... you can find unofficial fix online but if the device OEM is locked you cannot do anything since in order to unlock it you need to load OS. WASTE OF MONEY!!!!

  • this is not google's fault this is your fault because you don't know about hardrest with buttons and every mobile device need hardrest after 1 or 2 month to stay refreshed u need this to reset your phone to orignal setttings

  • Well I use to love this phone as my primary phone with 0 issues . Right after 1 yr 1 month of use stuck in BOOTLOOP I guess and died . Screen is is stuck on Google that's it . Doesn't go forward and blank. Shame on Google and bunch of losers built this phone which didn't even ran more then a year . What a waste of $850 cad . Go to hell Google.

  • Nexus 6P has the notorious boot-loop issue. If you have unlocked boot-loader and ran into boot-loop, the phone becomes a piece of brick that will never boot no matter how much you try.

  • if not an Iphone user then always go for Nexus.

  • Better buy s7

  • lava or vivo

  • please help me to select b/w Nexus 6p and iphone 6s..which one is a better option?

  • I'm using Nexus phones since ever. And I loved it. I loved this phone as well, but it is a disaster! The screen broke once and it was horrible expensive to repair. And now it's lost in the bootloop. And thank's for all your nice comments how to get it out. None is working. It's a brick now and ends it life as "for parts only" now on ebay. Soo sad.

  • I have same issue too now my 6P has no service... After i enrolled to 7.1.2 beta..

  • I've had my Nexus for almost 2 years now. And the system must of updated to 7.1.2. Because the camera app changes a little and Google assistant just updated. Not even that but it is so smooth going through apps, opening one through another. It's like butter. No lag or anything it's like a brand new phone. I have never used the Pixel but this must be the feeling that pixel users are use too!

  • Agree, Nexus 6p not recommended at all. Zero support from google for a software upgrade issue and a LOT of phones are right now in bootloop, total disaster...

  • Dude are u joking or what!! 6p vs S7 LMAO Just doing go for the S7

  • guys i have note 3 and planning to upgrade i`m between 6p and s7 which one should i get if they are of the same price ?

  • It is a crap phone after 7.1 upgrade. Plz don't buy it. Even upgraded to 8 Preview 4, issues still prevail. End of Nexus lineup was a total disaster. Disappointed with Google. By- A Google Fan !!

  • I've had my 6p since the week it was released, using it on Project Fi as well. By far the smoothest and fastest phone I have ever used. Running the latest 7.1.2 and rooted with phh's superuser, honestly this is about the best it gets for Android phones with unlocked bootloaders. The last and best of the Nexus line, there is a lot to like.

  • by far, the worse phone I ever had. It is lagging all the time, it is crashing all the time, it is rebooting by itself at least once a day even with factory settings, the settings keep to be screwed all the time weather it is a sound volume, developer options, notifications, etc. i have it for a year and i had to reset to factory settings already few times. never again huawei!

  • Wait for Android O. Its time is almost here.

  • I have been using Nexus 6P for more than a year now.. The phone was doing very good until the Android Nougat 7 upgrade.. now am facing a lot of issues.. Network not being received properly.. gets disconnected from the net without any reason.. I asked a Huawei service center.. they suggested backup the phone and reset to factory settings.. did that and no improvement.. Such a shame that an amazing phone, using which was a lovely experience until the Android 7 upgrade.. anyone knows what's the problem??

  • Best smart phone . I m using nexus 6p from last one year but didn't face any problem with my phone

  • maybe this will help you

  • Yes I am also a victim of boot loop problem... It popped in as soon as warranty expired.... Company asking for hefty amount to replace the motherboard...why should we pay for technical fault...let's all unite and sue them...they should replace the motherboard free of cost or return the money and take the Mobile... Almost 20000 for motherboard ...damn...let's come under one roof and get the issue solved....I made complaint against them through consumer cell...they go to the extent saying they have not received such mail...even though they have marked me cc

  • For sound recording purposes, which microphone gives you the best quality? The speaker mic or the camera mic? Any ideas? Thanks!

  • Then put your network mode to manual.

  • expect dead motherboard in few weeks

  • No I get that problem in every sim... and btw 6p supports volte... it just doesnt support jio volte...

  • I am another victim of bootloop, it is really hopeless to see the device marketed as flagship device breaks as soon as you are out of warranty. The option proposed by Huawei service desk is to replace the board which will cost almost same as current market price of new nexus 6P device..... Best of luck to people who are still going for this device.

  • 6p is doesn't support volte. Thats why jio provides app for that. And thats the reason u r facing this problem. Maybe we will get volte support in Android o

  • Hello! I've a problem... My network signal comes and goes in every 10-15 minutes or so automatically. But after the signal loss it sometimes shows "No Service|Jio4G" and sometimes "emergency calls only" in the Network Tile in Quick settings.. But reboot/ toggling airplane mode temporarily fixes it. Anyone else facing the same issue? I'm from India. Thanks!

  • Just use super backup and restore app from play store and put everything in Google drive.

  • how do i backup my photos and contacts etc from my nexus to my computer HELP

  • Same here. Bootloop issue came after warranty. Most disappointing thing is Huawei does not have the guts to admit the phone has a defect causing it. Never try this company again.

  • motorola nexus 6 is state of the art engineering

  • I had the same problem with my Nexus 5. The boot loop issue is due to the power button being broken. Once I replaced it, it started working again, just fine.

  • Was a great phone

  • It used to be my favorite phone...really!....Amazing!!!....BUT now I'm facing the bootloop problem, no additional warranty and if I want to fix it, it will cost a lot of money....it's like buying a new cellphone!....I'm very disappointed, angry and frustrated

  • I bought Nexus 6P phone last year in September; in fact bought two of them; one for myself and the other for my gf. Initially, the phone worked like a charm. Now no more than 4 hours of music playing time. Chatting on the phone is a lot of distortion' most people cannot hear what I am saying. I had to resort to using Skype to speak with people. I got rid of lot of the applications but still the problem persists. The battery life is not as mentioned it dies out during the day and I have to charge it two or three times a day. As the old adage goes cannot judge the book by its cover; beautiful phone and not so beautiful inside working parts. Will not buy it again......regret buying it at $840 plus taxes from Wind in Canada. Whereas I bought $99 BLU Advance phone that works like a charm and the battery last two days, talking and on standby unlike NP6 which has to be charged two or three times a day. At $99 it is a HD phone incredible value.

  • Why do I have to charge my Nexus 6 at least 4 times a day? Have wiped out a lot of applications - but play 2 games, namely Lexulous and Criminal case- would this be the case.

  • used to be my favourite phone and now facing the bootloop problem. Just 3 months out of warranty and huawei technician said maybe the mainboard problem and will cost a LOT! What the hellllllll?! So much for flagship and google phone, pfft

  • My 6p has started randomly losing contacts. I have to dig through texts to figure out phone numbers. At least I can recover a lot that way. I've figured out how to back them up now but I've lost a ton of older, less used contacts. Other than this one issue, it's been a great phone for about a year now. Anyone else had this problem? Fix?

  • Hi i have nexus 6p now my mobile continuesly apps are crashing like whatsup, facebook, chorme, instagram etc i done factory reset also then also same issue.

  • Yes I have same issue since this morning. I am not sure what to do. Can someone please help me too?

  • My 6p has started randomly losing contacts. I have to dig through texts to figure out phone numbers. At least I can recover a lot that way. I've figured out how to back them up now but I've lost a ton of older, less used contacts. Other than this one issue, it's been a great phone for about a year now. Anyone else had this problem? Fix?

  • Yes Thats unfortunately true. I got same problem. I have used it for 2 years. I was very satisfied with my nexus 6p. Yesterday I got this boot up problem. Now I am thinking what I will do :(

  • Yes, at least for a lot of people. I have no issues but I still wouldn't recommend this phone because of the issues.

  • Never ever buy this phone. Huawei has a poor customer care. My phone stopped detecting SIM card after one year. When i contacted customer care, they said they cant service it and i would have to change the mother board. Thats equivalent to buying a phone. Huawei service center does not even have the latest tool kit to flash the phone to the factory version. Disappoined. Buyers, Please keep away from this phone.

  • is it true that nexus 6p is facing bootloop issue...???

  • 2-3 weeks ago I sat on my Nexus 6P while getting in the car. The phone bent badly, it was in a weird C twisted shape, but it did not crack or broke, just stayed bent. I made calls from it like that, so it was fully functional. Bought the silver aluminium housing online, and after it arrived, I straightened it properly, changed the housing(easier then I thought), and now I have a personalized 6P, as it was originally black, and now only the finger-sensor, side-buttons, sim-tray and camera visor are black, rest of the housing is the silver metal one. It looks awesome and is fully functional, been abusing it with games since. Just an advice: you need to peel the NFC antenna from the original housing and slap it on the new one, my NFC works fine. One thing is for sure: when I upgrade, I'm not selling this one, I'm keeping it for back-up. Thanks for reading, enjoy your 6P!

  • I have Nexus 6p and lg g5. I use nexus mostly, the 2 things that will come ahead are: optimisation, somehow the stock android works better with google maps and anything google related, and second, the stereo huge speakers, for me have become a drug, i really enjoy them. Not even mentioning the larger screen. On the Lg g5's side, if you get the audio module, you have an everyday bliss commuting or w/e, as long as you have a good pair of headphones on your years; this can become addictong too, but I chose to have just one addiction, so i passed the G5 to my wife. The wide-angle camera is surprisingly handy, allowing many interesting shots to be taken. I also own a dslr, so it was fun for me. Get both, stay away fromt he G6(nothing interesting) or the S8/S8+(overpriced). The lifespan is 2 years for either phone, then it starts to slowly fade away, as newer model come out. So investing into an S8 is wasted money, for me. Unless you need to brag occasionally, passing off as a frustrated compensator. So yeah, have fun:)

  • Nexus 6p this is the best I have used

  • IT is the noice canseling.. you just need to have your phone close to your mouth then its all finw

  • Which smartphone should i buy? Nexus 6P & LG G5 or the Samsung S6? I'm kinda stuck on these three.

  • Huawei is now one of the best brand smartphone nowadays.Built in good quality in every way.You cant put a blame on the wrong side ..maybe you dont deserve huawei.

  • Empty the battery, use recovery mode and restart if it doesn't work then use recovery mode to reset. If any of above does not work, it means mother board has crashed. Service centre is soln.

  • I wish I never bought the nexus 6p! ... when I make calls, people are always telling me that they cannot hear me, even though I have the volume all the way up. I sent it in to Huawei twice for this problem and twice they returned it, and I still have the same problem! Now they are telling me to send it in a third time, because they will not replace my phone and they will not give me my money back! My advice is to stay away from Huawei products!

  • Hi, I was using facebook yesterday suddenly everything hang. Few moments later the phone turned off and not responsive to charging nor can it be start back. Can anyone help? Thank you.

  • *auto correct

  • 8 months complete. Its still eligible for warranty claim. Get knew mother board.

  • Just thought I should add my experience yet with the phone. I've owned this phone for 8 months now and I loved it, the camera, battery life screen speed, everything! Except it's maybe a little too big and slippery in the hands without a case. Right now, it's in a bootloop, google stuck forever, can't launch recovery and from what I searched on the internet, it would be hardware related and that's what my local cell repair shop tells me after diagnosis. I'va had the 10-15% battery shutdown happening to me a couple times in the last month.

  • Have you applied a case for it? Have you dropped it and still working? I'm more concerned about the battery dying below 15% or radios (such as bluetooth or wifi) playing up or dead pixels on the screen.

  • I think it's still worth it in 2017. Considering that it's now one of the budget phone options out in the market. There's no proven water resistance rating on this phone so I suggest you better stay away from the elements. As for the bootloops? Haven't experienced it yet. And for the connection being messy at times, that too, I haven't experienced yet. I just got my Nexus 6P yesterday and it's freaking awesome

  • No to all questions.

  • I'm entertaining the thought of getting a Nexus 6P this 2017. I understand updates will still be that quick and supported by 2018 but I have some questions: 1. Is it true the 6P has some water-resistant powers that it's considered safe to use during light rain or a spill of water or soda? 2. I heard that a "bug" causes the phone to crash or turn off unexpectedly when the battery dips below 10%? 3. Is it also true the wifi and bluetooth can sometimes be erratic due to a bug? Need your comments please. Cheers.

  • Currently in a class action lawsuit for rebooting randomly especially when battery reaches 10%.

  • Try clearing cache in recovery mode. And use greenify to turn off apps which are continuously syncing through internet that you don't often use. Or do a hard reset. It is the last resort.

  • Great phone. Runs fast, always has the latest Android, easy to use fingerprint ID thingie... not much to not like. Oh, I bought it a year ago and paid $400 when the competition were what, $750? One of the sweetest things is that it will run on Fi Network (Google). Dropped my monthly bill to less than $30, one phone, one user. If I were looking for a nice phone now, this would be considered.

  • Battery is worse not even last for 2 hrs it's just 13 months back I purchased

  • Thanks a lot it worked. !!

  • Just change your phone's language to English (US).

  • Does anybody know if the the Bootloop still occurs on the Official Android 7.1 Nougat Lineage OS 14.1 ?

  • If I buy a brand new nexus 6p in 2017 and upgrade it to android nougat will it bootloop if software update is the first thing I do out of the box?

  • 6p as nokia 6 has lower processor range and sony xa ultra is a joke with 6 inch screen with 2700mah battery and a cheap mediatek processor. I think you got it what trying to say here.

  • Huawei nexus 6p or Sony Xperia XA ultra or Nokia 6? Which one is best????

  • Hard reset or service centre

  • If its in warranty then replace your battery for free.

  • Yeah! You heard it right it has awesome stereo speakers.

  • It has no certification whether it is waterproof or splash proof. It is a 2015 phone back then only sony phones were waterproof. So its a regular phone with great specs of it's time.

  • Care to elaborate if whether it IS or NOT safe in light rain or a drop in the sink?

  • Try searching YouTube, there are some solutions available.

  • No, it ain't waterproof.

  • I heard the Nexus 6P is secretly waterproof? Due to my current work and tasks everyday I just need to know if this phone can survive an accidental dip in the sink or using it in light rain?

  • Try doing a restore, Volume down and power button. Did you do an update? or change the rom?

  • Guys my 6p as been in boot loop since weekend. Gat no warranty on the fone cos I got it second hand. Any help on how to fix it......tnx

  • Wugfresh only works if the user enabled developer mode and usb debugging. If usb debugging is not enabled, then you are SOL.

  • You can unbootloop it using WugFresh nexus tool kit do a reset select bootloop state download it on pc

  • Best phone i've ever had... worst experience to date... Had the infamous bootloop one year after purchase. Pretty expensive paperweight. Customer assistance doesn´t exist even though i'm still in warranty. Have to solve this alone but all I have found are dead ends. Do me a favor, DON'T BUY HUAWEI!

  • Best phone I've got!!

  • I've heard the speakers on this phone sounds amazing and is the loudest/clearest so far compared to its brethen like 6S Plus, Galaxy S7, etc.? True? And could anyone also confirm if the phone is actually safe when exposed to a glass of water or soda or light rain?

  • Yeah good phone but my battery isn't lasting long may upgrade soon

  • my phone suddenly shut off and when I restart my phone, it keep showing google logo again and again until run out of battery. After charge my phone, the fault still occur.

  • I am just assuming but the nexus 6p softbrick boot loop might be because of Samsung hardware. If you've unlocked your bootloader and and try to use a custom recovery such as TWRP, it attempts to temporarily boot TWRP by placing it in memory to reboot, this action fails, along with the system partition recovery. You can successfully overwrite all partitions including the recovery partition but you'll never be able to load anything except quickboot. I strongly believe the operations fail to execute as a result of a memory issue. In this case being Samsung. Did anyone with the soft brick bug notice their device heating up before it died? eMMC 32GB Samsung DRAM: 3072 Samsung LPDDR4

  • Can this phone be mirror linked to car infotainment system with mirror link option

  • I bought this device in US, the device is pretty good, but I am writing this review about bugs that it might have and the pathetic customer service that huawei provides. Easily my worst experience till that, and although i have nothing against the device I would never advice anyone to buy a huawei device. Everything is awesome till you don't hit an issue, but once you do, it's gonna be hell for you. Even thought they promise to repair and deliver your device within 7-10 business days, but needless to say thats all a lie. They took my device almost a month back and have not returned it yet, they just keep dilly-dallying all the time, and are not even giving a date as to when they would fix and give. At this point i am beginning to think they might be doing it on purpose cause they aren't able to fix it, so might as well eat up all the time in warranty and return it when you have no time left to complain again. Please do not go by any paid reviews, and DO NOT buy huawei ever, unless you wanna end up being in my condition. My phone went into endless boot mode, and i have heard a few other friends face the same too, so there is a possibility of a bug as well.

  • Nexus 6P variants and BootLoop problem: I had my Nexus 6P purchased in January 2016 from the Google Play Store, barely one year later it went into tht infamous bootloop bug. I am getting a replacement phone, but noticed there are hardware differences, mostly in the components manufacturers. I wonder if we can establish a correlation of the bootloop problem and one or more of the following: Manufacture date: Obtainable from the serial number: Components manufacturers: mostly DRAM and eMMC. Here are the specs of my two 6P's the one that crashed and the one I am getting as replacement. BL: angler-03-62 Baseband: angler-03.72 Product/Variant: ANGLER-VN2 Serial Number: *****16B04****** Mfd fate: 2016-Nov-04 CPU: MSM8994 0x2001 eMMC: 128GB Toshiba DRAM 3072MB MICRON LPDDR4 Factory OS: Android 7.0 Old 6P BL: angler-03-64 Baseband: angler-03.78 Product/Variant: ANGLER-VN2 Serial Number: *****15C03****** Mfd date: 2015-December-03 CPU: MSM8994 0x2001 eMMC: 128GB Samsung DRAM 3072MB HYNIX LPDDR4 Factory OS: Android 6.x I got all this information from each phone, just by booting them into bootloader mode: Hold Volume and Power buttons together. Have you had your 6P replaced on warranty? What is your experience with your replacement device? Is it newer, older thanthe previous one? Any failures? Your comments are welcome, thanks in advance.

  • In fact, I did like the fact that they asked for proof of the phone's physical state. I also sent my Nexus 6P for warranty repair (barely one month after the warranty expired it went into the bootloop bug). They asked me to take pictures of each side of the phone. Actually, Iliked that since my phone, which crashed, was in REAL PRISTINE state, as brand new out of the box. I didn't want it to be returned all scratched and damaged. AFter all, I am getting a replacement phone...let's see how it does arrive to me.... (waiting for the surprise)! If it is in bad shape, I'll submit a complaint to Huawei and claim a new device. And we all got the pictures to prove my phone was fine !

  • 6P forever, best phone ever!

  • best developer phone

  • The phone feels premium from the moment you take it out of its box. the edges feel thin and solid. The first thing you will notice is the size of the phone, especially when moving from something on the smaller scale. the build is solid and refined, nothing is overdone like the current pixel phone line, and feels good in the hand, especially when the aluminium body is cold. The cameras are good but nothing to break the ice, the screen has a rich warm tone and feels a little less cynical than some of the ultra bright displays out there, however the amoled is a very welcome feature that will impress anyone looking to get their first flagship device. Having moved from a nokia lumia 920 i was astounded at how expensive and professional it felt and the stock android layout was just a treat to work with. now a year into owning this phone i only have two complaints. the lock button is a little too easy to press, it could use more resistance. and the top of the phone can get a little warm when using the camera or 3d gaming. over all this is a solid phone that i think is an outstanding and worthy device to bare the nexus brand for the last time.

  • Best phone ever!Even after two years in hand!

  • Naver buy Google Product 6p does't support Volte in india and Google Deliberately can't fix Problem for Pixel Marketing

  • use third party app: recommended app ( lux lite dash )

  • One of my friend had recommended me to buy this phone. Really a great developer friendly phone with instant Official Android updates. Even I am using Android O right now which has pushed by Google yesterday. Android O is superb in term of battery life. I got a tutorial to install Android O from Even this developer preview OS is working like a charm. I really love this Nexus Family.

  • it should

  • My phone keeps going off and on network, now it gone off and not connecting back to service, I restart many times but would not connected to service network. SIM

  • The absolute worse customer service on the planet.Bought two phones want to send them to be repaired and they won't send shipping labels till you take multiple pictures of the phone you sending to them.Just ridiculously stupid I keep getting new ticket numbers but NO SATISFACTION..Hope you never need service or repair cause you mind as well talk to the wall, this customer service department SUCKS!!! And not helpful, they just DO NOT CARE

  • Recommended from a friend, Best phone purchase Ever! Super Quick, Larger screen is brilliant for typing (less errors), The Camera (OMG Amazing), Usu-ability = Exellent, I could go on but wont. Now that I have this phone, I will never go back to the basic android, this phone Is Life. Thank-you Google and services for such a brilliant phone... 5*****

  • Brilliant phone, Get this...

  • Will this phone work on wind mobile (Freedom mobile now) lte network?

  • Great phone!

  • Same problem with the battery dying so fast

  • This video may help people with yellow tint on Nexus 6p

  • You can say that again brother.this phone is awesome..i finally got it on my hands ... Excited

  • Hi folks , just to let know I have been using this phone from last 9 months which I purchased in Toronto , Canada from Google.ca web . This phone is just AWESOME , AMAZING , SUPER FAST . I love it , bit delicate tough . Over all I love this phone . It's expensive but end of the day it's a great phone . Thank u

  • This one. 100%.

  • Love this phone but after 12 months (heavy use) the screen is dying.. imprints of header and footer visible in wide view At 50% brightness screen is far too dark..

  • This is the worst Android I've ever owned. It won't save new contacts. I have contacts from my old Nexus 4, new contacts save for 4-8 hours and then disappear or messages give phone numbers only..No names..You have to go into the messages to figure out who your talking to.Bluetooth keeps turning off.... Hate it!!!

  • Best flagship ever...using 128gb black version. Good baterry life,1 day full dailyusage. The screen its amazing...sharp and crystal clear. Body very solid, aluminium build makes its money. Photo shoter makes nice pics, not dslr type but better than average. Lag free, never had a problem, using it for 6 months now. Who says its a bad phone maybe they are using china fake sample.

  • LG G5, Samsung Galaxy S6 or this?

  • 7.1.2 nougat beta

  • Just for correction to my message below When I updated my Nexus 6P to 8.1.2 nougat beta I never faced the problem I had before Thanks Google

  • Just to inform you all Nexus 6P, This is my first time to use this phone and first time facing this issues, but anyway this is just my second phone my primary one is iPhone 7. If you guys see my message below I was asking you, but I'm still the one who could answer my question below. I keep searching how to fix my Nexus 6P Battery draining fast, Abnormality function of apps most are crashing, speaker phone and headphones are totally can't be use due to Abnormality functions of the phone after update to nougat 7.1.1 Now here is the good news I want to tell you, I found out that Google gives Nougat 7.1.2 Beta so I enrolled and signed it on Google Chrome then I got the Nougat 7.1.2 Finally after installed nougat 7.1.2 I never gave those problems I mentioned above. Thanks Google for your nougat 7.1.2 beta you fixed my Nexus 6P.

  • Worst phone dont buy this phone ever no proper service response

  • Does anyone here knows when is the release of nougat 7.1.2? I'm facing a lot of problem with my Nexus 6P, most of the apps are crashing abnormal apps not consistent battery draining fast, back of the phone is heating.

  • Actually the sound is amazing. There are no hardware problems whatsoever. Whoever is reading the comments and is thinking of getting one, go ahead. Have not seen it lag, crash, loop, explode, etc since I got it. It's Nexus. It's not meant to fail.

  • Nexus 6P is a great phone.... Until it fails. I got Android 7.1.1 and the device got into a bootloop failure... no way to get it out of it (as the Allow OEM flag was not set)...and according to Google, there is some sort of hardware failure, a well known problem with Nexus 6P devices. Seems quality of Google Phones is going down...steadily down...as also Nexus 5X and Pixels are failing prey of this bootlopps troubles everywhere.. ! Shame !

  • the most important aspect of a phone should be its sound and clarity. This is the only thing that lets this phone down.

  • no links to these problems on forums? Plus if you have a nexus and are running stock ROM you are doing it wrong

  • Excellent n superb device i hv ever bought...amazing camera ....it gives natural pics compared to samsungs latest devices.good speaker, overall performance including battery backup is very nice .i am happy that i hv jump to nexus from samsung note 5...

  • If you look on the net, this phone has a major fault with people not being able to hear what you say. On the Nexus 6 forum there have been over a 1000 complaints, yet Google have just ignored it. It's the last Google product I'll ever own.

  • I prefer one plus 3

  • i have the samsung galaxy a5 (2016) i bought it 2 months before the 2017 model came this is realy kanker but when i thought about it i better get the nexus 6p because this thing is kanker goed but the a5 i never had to buy it but i am a kanker mogool so i bought it recap i should never bought it so please buy the nexus 6p

  • The good: quality camera pics, good stereo front facing speakers, good front cam, great unmolested software, superb display, superb fingerprint reader, sexy design, is somewhat water resistant at least in a bowl of water and under the faucet, upgrades quickly to latest android versions, type c usb, high end specs. The bad: -camera focus is slow as molasses so much so that i have come to detest waiting for this thing to focus. As compared to say the galaxy s7 camera focus speed, nexus 6p focus speed is horrible and inconsistent. -I have experienced plenty of stuttering and slowdowns. I keep this phone vanilla stock and dont run any crazy apps, but i still have experienced plenty of annoying hiccups. I've had this phone since dec 2015 and it has recently in the past few months started t9 behave properly for the most part. -The battery life is mediocre to average. In my experience it is mediocre and has been tested to be fairly average. I never expect more than 3-4hrs of (SOT) screen on time from this thing, which is bizarre since it has a large battery. -The display adaptive brightness feature is abysmal. It does not work at all and I do not count on it at all in my daily use. I keep it enabled, but I always end up manually adjusting the brightness, it's extremely annoying and I have never had this much of a problem in any of my previous android phones. -I have heard plenty of accounts online of people getting affected by a critical bootloop defect in this phone. After hearing that I will be getting rid of this phone before that happens to me, I will not be getting screwed over past my warranty period. Conclusion: I was motivated to create this review to mainly voice my semi distaste of this product. I have grown slightly bitter over the 1yr+ I've had with this and am actively researching and shopping for a replacement phone. I am hoping to get rid of this or as a last resort ditch android all together and switch to apple since apple actually has their stuff together when it comes to user experience and satisfaction. I've been with android exclusively since 2012 and have had the samsung galaxy 2,3,5, and finally the nexus 6p. I have a general bitter taste left in my mouth from the general android experience. It seems the android experience is very inconsistent and all the androids I have ever had did not provide me a lasting satisfying experience. I would not buy this phone again and while I'm at it, I'm hoping android gets replaced with something more mature and consistent in the near future, it really is tiring to get disappointing this many times after being heavily market hyped to.

  • Nope. It's just a design

  • i have nexus 6p 32gb it has been approx 9 months got it repaired on January 2017 and my motherboard was changed now it has again some problem with proximity sensor and battery drain when i got this service center they couldn't find my imei no. it was my good luck that i got the phone to same service center so they accepted it never trust on Chinese product i got to know that this device cost is under 15000 and they charged it so high(35000) with brand name of google ,there is nothing much to be proud of this device rather than name of google nothing could be expected from such companies.

  • where should i get this phone.

  • This phone is excellent! It's the best phone I owned, and I came from a Samsung galaxy S7 edge.

  • It is the best phone I ever had. It is truly amazing and I don' regret buying it at all but it has some issues. It takes too long to open a video sent in whatsapp :/ I always have to go to google photos outside whatsapp app to watch videos sent by my friends through whatsapp.i don't know if there is any solution to this. Other issue I had with this phone it was related to the volum buttons which don't work after phone updates but it is solved now. If you have this problem you have to uninstall AND mark "do not update automatically" talkback app or it will happen again whenever the phone updates. I did it directly in play store.

  • Nexus 6p is the best android phone ever!!

  • Pathetic , some or other other problem with mobile network . Error while searching networks .....Is a constant problem. Every android upgrade brings some or the other issue. Absolute Waste of money

  • Bootloop issue i face 1st time in my phone

  • Me.... read my post

  • Stay away of this phone or buy the extended warranty. My Nexus 6p after the Android 7.1.1 was working fine. 10 days later the phone presented an endless bootloop, when I searched the website, this issue is very common with the Nexus 6p. I called Huawei and they were sorry but my warranty expired 5 days ago. They told me to send the phone to any third party shop to flash the phone back to Android 6, so far no luck after visited 3 shops.

  • Hey, bought 6p bt it's Sim tray dual Sim, is Nexus6p can b run dual Sim ????

  • Htc 10. Better camera. They both will get updates in three years.

  • Nexus 6P: Better software updates and running stock Google so it's more battery efficiency.

  • Nexus 6p or htc 10?? Which one is more stable in performance nd battery? Which Mobile will be amusing to use??

  • Need your help - Nexus 6P 64GB 350$ (USD) or Nexus 5X 32GB (275$) or Moto X Style 32GB (220$)? Scared of the AMOLED burn-in and nougat battery issues in the 6P and I think the X Style is worth the money

  • nice phone but, its released in 2015 and still hella overpriced wtf..

  • I had a nexus 6p for about 14 months. First problem encountered was a bad camera focus problem, fixed under warranty, second problem camera went bad again out of warranty, repaired. Next problem was the phone stopped recognizing the LTE radio, in other words would have no LTE reception even if you were standing right next to a tower. Repaired. then one morning went to turn it on and nothing, nada, ziltch. the phone was actually on but screen was black. Un-Repairable and I will never by huawei product again. This is not the first Huawei I've had problems with but it will be the last!

  • In my opinion the OnePlus 3 might be a bit better in the long run since it does have a newer processor and 6GB of RAM compared to 3GB, but the 6P is still a great phone and it should hold up well for another 2-3 years

  • Nexus 6P. Just choose for quality, not for price. :D

  • 6P

  • Have heard of battery bank. Carry them to charge your phone.

  • Please. Need help urgently. I want to get a phone for my brother. I'm stuck at choosing between OnePlus 3 or Nexus 6P.

  • no - just right :) for me anyway.. i just bought even bigger phone

  • Go 6p

  • Is size is too big? Screen size 5.7 so m little worried

  • Great Smartphone, nice performance , Very nice and clear camera :D , in my opinion one of the best android

  • The Nexus 6p it's a very good Android phone I have used iPhone since 2007 this phone was a cheap option with very high spec it's a very good phone if you don't mind Android

  • Highly disappointed, I had this phone for exactly 1 year and 6 months. It was taken care off extremely well with not even a single scratch. The second i updated the phone to androird 7.1.1 the phone started to drain battery. When i say drain i mean: i would have 30% battery left, put it on power save mode and lock the phone. Less than ,1 hours later it is dead. If it hits 15% battery it will just die. I never had this problem with 7.1. It kind of questions if google did this on purpose! The reason i say this is because when i plug it to the charger, (when i lock it with power save at 30% and plug it to the charger after it dies, i get 20% battery, unplug it and it works.) A softer tweek to shut phones at 15% can easily be done, (samsung note 7). Regardless i will never buy another google made phone (pixel) ever again.

  • Exactly

  • Look, this cellphone is mad faster and fast charge is also bananas fast, the speakers are the best and the screen is soo bright. Android stock is the best. And i use iphone for 4 years so if i'm saying that an android phone is really good is because is real.

  • Honestly I see no reason to buy this phone, of course it depends on the price that you can get this, but at more then 300$ this phone becomes hard to justify, at more then 400$ it becomes impossible. Try other Mid-rangers such as: Huawei Honor 8 with it's awesome look. ZTE Axon 7 with it's awesome Sound. OnePlus 3t, which although a bit more expensive, it's really really good, best phone out there (in terms of price/quality ratio)

  • Thanks broda for your reply ..i open phone app but i only see two option ( Disable ) and ( force stop ) could you please tell me the way to do this steps .. thanks for your time

  • Loay all you need to do is put the call app to factory mode.. uninstall the latest update not disable it.

  • Thanks ... so do u prefer to go back to marchmello i need your advice

  • Go for it the update makes the phone amazing

  • it was available in previous ui but..you can give feedback in playstore and in mobile settings feedback.

  • Sony z5 premium is a nice phone though it sucks in battery backup due 4k lcd screen and no fast updates and tad small battery than 6p. Now 6p is pure Android 2k display dual speakers fast updates. I think you know what I'm trying to say.

  • Buy this. It works ok:

  • Why can't I see "call waiting" notification when i call someone. Is this normal in Nexus? As i see this option in other mobiles except IPhone! Is there a way to get a notification when the other side answer my phone (like a small vibration) Thanks

  • Hello beautiful people! Can I have your opinion please? Nexus 6p or Sony Z5 Premium? Thanks!

  • Not a though choice, this is a flagship phone and the other is just a midrange desire phone, go for nexus In addition it has front-facing stereo speakers and a quad HD display which you can't find on desire 10 pro

  • No.. works fine.

  • nexus 6p is very good phone.no other mobile phones can beat 6p

  • Anyone on nougat with bootloop issue?

  • The HTC 10 is a far better phone,buy the HTC 10

  • The Nexus 6p has some good features. The problem is with the Huawei Customer Service. It will ruthlessly consume your life without giving you any effective support or resolution of the phone's problems. I purchased a Nexus 6p about 5 months ago. The phone revealed serious problems, namely, the phone's battery wouldn't charge. I contacted Customer Service three months ago for resolution of the problem. Issue remains UNRESOLVED and manufacturer refuses to do anything about it, DESPITE IT'S ONE YEAR GUARANTEE. Because of the flagrant breach of warranty, useless customer serve,m and complete lack of integrity, I cannot recommend this phone. Save yourselves the anguish and loss of time . . . and STAY AWAY FROM THIS PHONE !

  • Hey guys, shall I go for Nexus 6p or HTC desire 10 pro?? and for those who have the mobile, how long the does the battery last on heavy use and have anyone tried fast charging on nexus? how long does it take? Thanks :)

  • if you like " Phablet " size go on Nexus 6p . its really good device and supported by google if you dont like " phablet " size go on htc 10 . its better than 6p in specification and its newer .

  • HELLO Can you help me please i will buy a new smartphone but i do not know which better Nexus 6p or HTC 10

  • HELLO Can you help me please i will buy a new smartphone but i do not know which better Nexus 6p or HTC 10

  • Its an official too

  • I'm having an issue while updating to nougat 7.1.1...Better wait for few more days and then uodate

  • I've only got 2h 52 SOT max (most of the time

  • Nougat 7.1.1 is the official release or just a developer preview ?

  • I have it for 3 months and as a phone is crap. Google has not bothered to fix the noise canceling mic issue that is causing the other callers not to hear you or hear you very bad .. It's too bad, otherwise it would be a nice PHONE

  • Definitely 6P. Go for it.

  • The Mate 9 eats all of them, seriously. 1) Best screen-to-body ratio out of the three 2) Best processor out of the three 3) Has a microSD card slot 4) Best camera out of the three 5) Has an IR (Infrared) port 6) Best battery out of the three, especially with the FHD display, which eats less battery than a QHD display Go for the Mate 9, you won't be disappointed :)

  • My LG G3 was broken, so I need a new phone. I'm confused to choose between Nexus 6p or Huawei Mate 9 and OnePlus 3. I think those 3 are very good phone with affordable price. Please help me.

  • Looks good, but with a non-removable battery, I'll pass on it. I take trips that sometimes results in layovers in airports that do not have places to plug in an electrical charger, so I find it very useful to have a couple of spare batteries with me. If a phone doesn't allow for quickly swapping out batteries, I will not buy it.

  • 7.1 is perfect install it right away. Its stable.

  • Please can anyone confirm Nougat 7.1 stability, is there any issues encountered yet? My Nexus 6P is running very smoothly on Marshmallow but showing 7.1 availability OTA, please advise based on relevant experience

  • nexus 6p

  • Pl. Confirm the moto z play vs nexus 6p and another phone the best mobile and camera We will use the oneplus 3 very nice pc. We will purchase my brother. New mobile Pl. Confirm the best mobile

  • I agree yes this phone is substantially more significant to its counterparts which are the nexus 5x, the screen size would be the largest buy or don't buy standard when considering both of these phones. Ultimately it will come down to what your preference is when considering the credentials.

  • Yeah you are right...

  • If you want nice audio effects too then go ahead with nexus 6p coz apart from fantastic gaming performance it also hve twin sterio speakers... Or you can buy oneplus 3t.

  • Dont play game on it!! You may hit by battery draining problem after playing too much game on it

  • Well let me ask a better question what's the best phone I can buy here in the states for GAMING under $500? Is it the nexus 6p I came to this conclusion after a long research

  • I'm thinking about buying a nexus 6p for gaming so what would yall say? It seems like a legit phone for gaming and at a good price

  • Tomsguide.com brought me here.

  • Really good much better then my asus 29" ultra wide 2k Monitor, the ppi detail in the screen are really clean superb HD.

  • Go to settings - Battery - click the three dots on the top right corner - then click battery optimization - then change not optimized to all Apps - then reset app preferences. That it... You have know the really battery life of nexus 6p.

  • Nexus 6p , it has Quad HD 2k AMOLED display , stronger processor , better camera and bigger battery size.

  • Can somebody tell me how is the YouTube videoquality on full screen?

  • Nexus 6 is better

  • 6p. better display, battery timing, processor, build quality and faster fast charging. 5x is a lot cheaper and smaller display if you want that. both have same camera.

  • Well Done, the phone isn't water resistant so your warranty is void congrats what you expecting them to do.

  • Which is better Nexus 6P or Nexus 5x? Plz help me suggest?

  • If this is a fake then Huawei should sue optis Australia for using their name nd giving out fake gadgets on plans. If u read other forums you'll come across the battery issue I stated.

  • Just to report that about that problema of resolution on YouTube , its need to up date the YouTube app on Google store. My evalution of this phone is 5 stars. Very good experience on browsing, fine Android experience, camera even with low light, screen resolution, downloading, fast charging, and good on battery, .and even price 370 eur on blackfriday. I compared this phone with Samsung s6 and s7, and iPhone 6s plus and 7, and both have some better performance on line issue or another, like 6p also hás, but on overall my preferência is to 6p.

  • Then you probably bought a fake Nexus 6P, or perhaps you bought a different phone or didn't buy the 6P at all, because you are the only one who says such things.

  • Nice attempt!

  • I don't know the tech jargon like the rest of u guys but I'll tell in layman's terms what I experience and think of this phone...I have Nexus 6p version 7.0 ... The battery life is so very bad that it's hard to believe some one actually recommended me to buy this.... It start with battery draining every 3 hrs even on idle...then that reduced to 2 and eventually to 30 mins.... On top of that I get no low battery notification s at all aaaannnnnddddd the cell just shuts down many many times in between those 30 mins of battery life. So I deleted Pinterest, Instagram Facebook WhatsApp IMO don't check my emails and after alllllll of that thr battery lasts me an hour on idle. I am basically using it as a very expensive paper weight cause I am unable to use it as smart fone

  • I have huawei nexus 6p gold.10/10.intrested one can contact me 03359663420

  • Got a nexus 6p.Should I upgrade it to nougat.Batter life good or bad???

  • Check in battery status who is consuming the most. Then we can find solution for it. I mean don't come to a conclusion that it is hardware problem.

  • He is using android beta version...

  • 7.1.1 on Nexus 6p? Mine only runs 7.0? And when i checked on the updates it says "system is up to date" or maybe you're using custom rom?

  • Got my Nexus 6p last 3 days, and i noticed that battery is draining even if it is on idle. I went to work with around 80% battery life on my phone, place it on my locker, never used it until end of my shift which is after 9hrs, but when i checked it, it's down to 58℅. I don't know if it's a normal thing or i got a defective battery. Also, when i first open it from the box, it has drained battery, could it be because it has a defective battery? Any thoughts or answer will be appreciated.

  • Great phone, HORRIBLE SERVICE. If your Nexus 6p gets water damage, Huawei will not repair it, they will not recommend a 3rd party repair center, they do not train 3rd parties how to repair water damage, all but a few components are not removable/repairable, and Huawei will not take your calls/emails to complain. Bottom line, you have no recorse, your phone is a total loss.

  • Yes, best resolution. Today I went to Huawei customer service and they up dated the YouTube. I told them that I have downloaded Android 7.0 and though that nothing else required, but seems that YouTube have to be up to dated also. The YouTube was stucking almost every time. Now I need to check it resolution issue is ok. Another problema is that I cant send or receive anything with bluetooth to iPhones...they told me that its normal because ios is a world apart.

  • are you watching those videos at the highest resolution available?I know it is a stupid suggestion...but let´s start from htere..

  • Hi, o got this phone today. When seeing vídeos from YouTube I realize a lack of quality when on full screen. Anyone noticed this?

  • Haven't got a lot to say...simply the best looking and best performing smartphone on the go.

  • Pal there is a issue with Vodafone service in your area or just unit u holding because this phone is works fine with LTE.

  • This is a google phone. It gets updates for at least a couple of generations...and as for only 3g, you should probably check your service provider.

  • Sorry, I do not understand. Mine is running Nougat 7.1.1.

  • I have had my phone for 5 months and it is only running on 3g as there is no updates for this fone yet. Wont store contacts that I add and Vodafone won't swap this fone for another as everyone is passing the buck regarding the updates. Worst fone I ever bought so don't get it till it runs on 4 g

  • No! was not really a bug but just carrier settings not up to date. Solved

  • Sony Z5 solved the over heating issue

  • Dont buy sony z5 unless you wanna experience what overheat issue is.

  • I wish this phone had a 360-degree spin view. :(

  • Sony z5 better

  • automatic call recorder is not working in this how to make it please help me guys

  • Go for Nexus 6P, it receives most timely updates, Sony at times abandons their devices so better stay away from them. The camera lens of Z5 Premium is made of plastic and scratches quite easily. Alternatively you can go for Moto X Force which is the biggest competitor of Nexus 6P, it has kevlar body and shatterproof screen and it is cheaper than Nexus 6P.

  • I use a 2A car charger with usb a to USB c cable delivered with phone and do same in office as fast charger is at home. It only takes more time but only for shott backup use

  • Hey guys, i have a question about car charger for 6P. It supports fast charging and u can use 3A charger, so whats is the best option for charging phone in car, to get all that fastcharging feature and dont have any bad influence to phone? To buy car charger with usb c port? or usb a 3.0 and use usb a to usb c cable? What do u guys use in ur car to charge this phone?

  • Worst Android OS? Nougat?? It's time for u to visit a good mental hospital. Nexus runs the best Android nougat. If u r facing issue, u have to get it resolved. If this fone s shitty for u, no one on earth can get u a good phone. Just cos U don't even know to use a smartphone, don't call this a shitty phone!

  • I have seen yesterday HTC Bolt review. Its specification same as Nexus 6P with better HTC design. Thanks HTC.

  • Messenger is the default SMS exchange but works only on MMS. Tried several times to share a vpcard from contact to no veil? It was perfectly working in my ex A6000 Lenovo First bug since I'm using my N6P

  • OK guys.. After pixel xl phone showed up with such a high price i understood that i need to get something from older phones. I hesitaded a lot, watching lots of reviews of different phones every day, day after day, reading opinions, articles n stuff. And finally i come up with 6P. A few days passed after i got this phone, and now i have something to say. This phone is simply amazing. First of all i love the design, in hands it looks and feels so much premium. The display - gorgeous. Frontfacing stereo speakers - makes me smile every time i watch something on youtube or playing games, trust me it sounds so clean and loud. Software is buttery smooth, no lag. Camera is really great too. I meant this phone is all package. It has everything i need from phone. Offcorse battery is not the best, but it last me the day, and quick charge rocks :) If there are more people like me, who hesitates a lot to get this phone or like G5 or OP3 ir any other phone. Dont make a mistake. just go for 6P. U wont regret!

  • you have to install each of them

  • Just bought this phone and fall in love immediately. I have only one question. As i bought it now, i get lots of system updates. Should I install each of them or can i just make one update to latest version? If yes, how? Thnak you:)

  • Go to settings/device/storage and USB. Here you will get break of space occupied by android OS separately, other software space and balance space separately.

  • practically, i just bought my N6P yesterday....and....newbie for android...and, can someone tell me how much the system in N6P for 64 gb has consume?how many left accurately?

  • Just set your device back to factory settings and it will work nicely.

  • Ive got an LG G4 and Im not satisfied with it.. Im going to give 6P a try.

  • give you the same characteristics and cost half...

  • Go for Sony

  • That's not normal. If you bought from Google, use the warranty.

  • Really Confused about buying Nexus 6p or Sony z5 premium! Which one is better?

  • always restarting and poooor battery................

  • I just got the Nexus 6P . Downloaded and installed some small security updates with the last one saying that after getting it , the device will be ready for the Nougat update . but now I keep getting the message that my phone is up to date . which is clearly wrong , as my current android version is 6.0.1 . what should I do ?

  • In my nexus 6p I am running android 7.1 latest version, and it is running, no lags nothing, even after my successive gaming and everything.

  • I can't believe you got Android 7 Nougat. And i can't believe it runs badly XD! You sure you got Android 7?

  • You kidding...right?

  • Thats probably not a Nougat thing. Nougat is running fine on my N6P. Return your device to get a replacement or fixed.

  • I have a Huawei handset Huawei Nexus 6P Purchased in December 15 I m regretting for updating it to the worst Android OS that is Android 7 nougat After updating it to Android 7 nougat it stopped working properly. It dosent ring, doesn't play audio and video And not even notify when call disconnects After restarting mobile it works properly,, everything gets okey again but after sometimes all this problem occurs It works sometimes and sometimes doesn't works. I have spent 40k for this shit phone Nexus 6P and now i m regretting for this.

  • I still get monthly security updates on my Nexus 5. I don't think at this point I get any new OSes. They have a policy from 2015. Security patches for 3 years and Major OTAs for 2 years from Release. I like the specs on the 6P and it is a good price right now through Google Fi.

  • Sorry guys about that double post....Am not to much a fan about the huaweii company but if google choose them then it's worth a try I say. So far it responds great and the camera even not a phone camera fan, it's alright (Y)

  • With experience I know Nexus are the best so far even without all the nifty options you get on others. no need to worry about options but strength and quality YES NEXUS

  • Google only care about pixel now. So do nexus 6p gonna get any care assistance and updates?

  • Thx

  • You got a faulty device, that's not our problem :)

  • Nexus 6P-NO SERVICE ERROR, Faulty power on button & rebooting frequently are major problems which can not be overlooked . Moreover there are no service centres in India who can repair phone in 2-3 days time. Always device is sent to chennai R&D cen...

  • Touch screen stopped working after 2mths I'm in argentina so huaweii would not honor the warranty...

  • NO SERVICE ERROR, Faulty power on button & rebooting frequently are major problems which can not be overlooked . Moreover there are no service centres in India who can repair phone in 2-3 days time. Always device is sent to chennai R&D centre & you are left with standby phone for almost 20 days .So all the good features are of no use. In the month of July I had sumbitted my device for faulty power on button & frequent rebooting problem.I had to use another device for more than 20 days & I got my phone back but with sme other problem.

  • Just bought it last week, after two years on a galaxy S5. The decision process was tough, I spent several weeks hesitating between the Note 5, the S6 edge (by principle, I stopped buying the latest model, that's my way of saying "no"). Feelings after one week: - love the screen. - battery is okay. Not good, not bad. I wish there was more. - weight: good. - screen estate: fantastic. - Bluetooth: works. - sound: very good - overall performance: very good - overall fluidity: very good - camera: good (but I'm not a camera person) - slip factor: very bad. had to buy a phone case, realized four seconds after unboxing that I'd let the device fall on the floor - updates: that's for real, it starts updating each Android version, month after month. I ended up downloading the latest image from Google and pushing it through adb. Why it won over the s6 edge and note 5: - lack of water resistance and no sdcard extension: I don't accept this on a premium model. - no bloatware and the ability to run stock Android on the N6P. - security updates do not take months to be published, especially when you don't have the latest model... Conclusions: I strongly recommend it!

  • To answer a couple questions on here: Yes, the Nexus 6P is still a great phone. It gives a lot of bang for your buck. You won't have all of the processing power packed into the Pixel, but this phone still performs great. I've been a Nexus 6P owner for a good, long while, and I have yet to feel the need to upgrade. This phone is certainly still a great option for those looking for a phone with a lower price point.

  • No need its crappy

  • Can I still purchase this device?????? please help......

  • Hey guys, As a lot, i was waiting for next nexus phone, and when they come up with pixel phone and the price so high, im at the point when dont know what to do. I really like the way 6p looks and performs, but is it still worth buying? I mean, i heard nexus closed with his phones, does it mean, that i f i buy 6p, it gonna be forgotten and i didnt get any upgrades, updates and stuff? Im choosing between 6P, LG G5, P9, Samsung S7, OP3 and just cant decide. Maybe i just should wayt for something new comming out? Maybe u r waiting for some new model of phones?

  • Dear Service Manager, I am facing problems in my Nexus 6p H1 512,64 GB Grey phone It is the worst handset I ever had. Within 4 months of purchase it is not funtioning well for the second time. For the first time ,I had experinced problem in Power on button it was not working properly and phone was rebooting frequently. I submitted the handset to Kalyan Service centre & they sent to Chennai R&D centre. I got the repaired phone after 20 days. In this process I had to use standby phone for almost one month. Now it is showing "No service "error. it is detecting the Vodafone sim card however it is not showing any service since 15/10/16.I had got my sim card changed from Vodaphone centre & still the error is not rectified.Sim card is working fine in other handsets of different company & not in Huawei handset which I purchased in June 2016. Its very frustrating experience & there is No authorised service centre in Mumbai which can repair without sending it to chennai R&D centre. NEVER EVER BUY THIS COMPANY PHONE

  • hi, I have the 6P since may this year, it's a great phone. The size is not a matter to me, i like the big screen for navigation and gaming. The battery life it's average, depends on the screen brightness you want and if you navigate with LTE or WiFi. I use it all day long, navigating and chating, and I charge it every night, oh and listen to music with spotify all day. The battery charges within an 1:30 hour. With android nougat it became faster and smoother, I totally recomend you this phone, but i have never used an oneplus 3. The lack of OIS is not a problem if you want to take photos or film at 1080P, with 2K resolution is another story, the EIS does not get the job there.

  • Moto G4 Plus.

  • Pal why dont you ask this question in moto g4 or op2 page. This is nexus 6p's page.

  • Moto g4 plus or one plus 2 ?? Which one should i buy? Please tell me

  • I had this phone for 2 weeks, my thoughts: 1st thing, the phone is bigger than it should be. its tall because of the top and bottom bezel space, which makes it kind of uncomfortable to hold, i have average hands. compare it to a moto X Pure or the Note 5 which both have the same 5.7in screen but the body on each of those phones doesnt waste as much space making it more comfortable to hold than this. I noticed the phone does heat up even when not on the charger. Watch some youtube for a while, or a 23 min episode of one of your shows, and it will heat up on you. Also my biggest issue, and the ultimate reason why i returned the phone was the battery life. I dont know why they gave it such a high endurance rating, the battery life is subpar. turn on the option to view the battery percentage in numbers and you can literally watch it drain from when you wake up till around lunch time. its a shame how cell phones in general have taken massive steps forward in all aspects like the screen and media, but have also taken a massive step back in endurance and battery life. android authority and other reviewers will tell you the battery is good, or decent but honestly, is 4hrs screen on time REALLY good? thats right on the cusp of trash for my standards. some pros however were the perfect sounding speakers on the front, the super slick fingerprint scanner, the beautiful screen, and the overall look of the phone is nice and stands out from pretty much everything else. but to me, the heating and the below average battery were unacceptable shortcomings. especially when phones like the Huawei mate 8, Moto Z Force exists.

  • What about the size? I know it's a big phone and I also have small hands so I'm a little worried I won't get used to it.. Has it been a problem with you?

  • Nexus 6p is ultimately better than op3 ✌️

  • Necus 6p has much better camera than the one plus 3, i have the 6P and its great, storage is enough and u have unlimeted stroage with google photos

  • False information. The 6P supports VoLTE perfectly. Almost all calls that are not over WiFi are over VoLTE with my T-Mobile SIM. Audio quality is top notch. I considered the One Plus 3 and ZTE Axon 7, but the band support and being certified for T-Mobile Wi-Fi calling drove me to the Nexus 6P. The fact it has the best software doesn't hurt either. I am very happy with my decision this is a top-notch phone in every way and incredibly smooth and powerful. There is nothing that I have tried to do with this phone that I have not been able to do with the phone handling it gracefully.

  • Op3 I think better choice.

  • I think that the best phone to by is the Nexus 6P

  • Hi guys, I'm getting a new phone and can't decide between Nexus 6P and OnePlus 3 (I have a 16GB Nexus 5 now)... I like the Nexus 6P because of its stock Android and instant updates, but I'm a bit worried about the lack of OIS, since I make plenty of videos. On the other hand, I like the OP3 for its OIS and the notifications button on the side, plus the 64GB of storage. What I don't like is the body of it, especially the camera bump and the jack placement, and since it isn't available in my country it would take some time to get it. So, can anyone tell me if 32GB of storage is enough and the lack of OIS is not a problem with the Nexus 6P? And if the battery life is good and the body is not a problem with the OP3? I'm planning to have it for 2-3 years so I really want to make the best choice.

  • Sony X-series have Qnovo adaptive charging tech, it prolong the Battery life and it fast charge won't hurt the battery, it is the safer for the handset.

  • If you want the phone to last for several years, you should also think about the fact that the battery will start degrading after a couple hundred charge cycles. So either get a phone with removable battery, or be prepared to take the phone to the shop to pay the serviceman to replace the battery for you if it's not user replaceable.

  • Nexus is good but the Huawei design is unmatched with Nexus design language, the reliable and convenience should be the priority of Nexus, but the back button is just mess it up.

  • I changed my nexus 6p to galaxy note 4 and im happy its much better.Nexus were very boring.

  • Nexus 6P is by far the best phone I have ever had, its premium metal finish and reasonable weight and size make me feel like even years later I still got a phone that's awesome and will still be for years to come

  • Can't wait for Android Nougat 7.1 😊😊😊

  • Thats a bad decision to switch from nexus 6p to p9...

  • I changed nexus 6p to huawei p9. I feel like doing bad decision. :(

  • I choose nexus 6p.... Nexus 6p is an old device but runs on latest Android 7.0, while op3 is newer but running an old android version alaas....

  • Nexus 6p

  • Which is the best phone, nexus 6p or one plus 3 ?? Which one should i buy of the two? Please tell me, Thank you in advance

  • Which is the best phone, nexus 6p or one plus 3?? Which should i buy? Please help me guys

  • What about VOLTE support then?

  • Nexus 6P is much faster than OP3. I just owned both and I can say that. Maybe raw processing power is better with OP3 but Nexus handels normal useing faster and much smoother.

  • I broke my Nexus 6p recently was wasn't sure if i should get anther one or buy the one plus 3?

  • Need some expert reviews here. I'm very much confused now with Nexus 6P / OP3. OP3 is a much upgraded and faster device than Nexus 6P. Nexus 6P also doesn't supports VOLTE. So thats quite a pain but some say the carrier will have

  • Yup it still worth buying... If u can't afford pixel xl then this is best...

  • Is it worth buying Nexus 6p now?

  • Yes ..been using this sleek fone fo rhalf a year now without those 3rd party app that promises to boost battery life and smooth user experience ... No prob.so far and Battery Life is way OK than my previous fones 😁✌

  • Lenovo Note k5 cheap and best

  • Does anyone of you use nexus 6p without clean master? Is it smooth?

  • Samsung oŕ iphone 5s

  • I agree with you on sticking to 6p. As this nougat update is stable. Everything is working fine. That what matters most. At least for me.

  • I'll stick to my trusty Nexus. The pixel is not bringing too much to the table. Love the 5.7"!

  • I can't believe my phone battery survived 40 000 times of unplug when charging in one week (yeah, I had problems with my broken wire). I thought it will be dead. But it still works for more than 16 hours per day of active using (viber, facebook, calls, youtube, music, BT and several hours of screen of when working with photoshop). I'm really surprised! Battery got even better with Android 7.0

  • R.I.P.

  • I have seen plenty of iphones, samsung phones, motorola phones, and others that don't survive 1 waist high drop. It all depends on how the phone lands and what it hits.

  • Nexus is the Best Series ever for Android...I am using 6p since its launched it's an Amazing Phone

  • I dropped this phone once, from waist height, and it is a write off. Thats pretty poor considering Ive had Samsungs and iPhones that have survived 100's of tumbles.

  • Nexus 6p

  • Oneplus 3 bro

  • Smart phine must be under 5 inches and less wide so that it could be operate well enough by one hand like I phone's all phones are adorable.

  • None of the above

  • Please Help me...which is best...for overall...camera,performance,gaming :( Iphone 5s nexus 5x redminote 4 redmi pro moto g4 plus oppo f1s honor5x samsung j7 prime 2016 samsung j7 one plus X or any other???

  • 6P sure.

  • Nexus 6p

  • u wait for pixel 7. it will have 7"inch and dual 13mp.

  • Z5 or 6p

  • Thanks again for reply. It was very help full regarding my confusion.

  • Yep. The SE is better in the long-term. Yes, but barely. You see, Android devices generally don't last very long as their software only get updated twice in their lifetime, compared to 4-5 times of iDevices. To stretch the longevity of your Droid, you have to tinker and mod it with custom ROMs, which is out of the question for casual users like you. Anyways, please do keep in mind that managing your multimedia in the SE (or any iDevices for that matter) is going to be a little bit of a headache because of iTunes.

  • Thanks for the reply buddy. So iPhone se 64gb will be better choice in your opinion. What is your opinion about nexus 5x and moto g4 plus. Since these two also have capable camera in my budget. Can they last upto 3 yeARS?

  • While the SE can last longer than the 6P, its storage is very limited at that price. You may think that 16GB is a lot, but it is not. Your music, photos, social media, and games are going to add-up. You will notice this when you want to upgrade to the newest iOS version. The 6P is pretty much on par with the SE. 6P's camera is better, though. In the end you'll have to choose whether to save a bit of money to get 64GB SE or just outright get the 32GB 6P. Personally I would go with the former. But hey, that's just me. :)

  • Hi guys please help me to choose between iphone se or nexus 6p. I want phone which may last minimum 3-4 years. I am moderate user. Please ignore comparison of iOS vs Android , screen size , front camera , battery capacity , fast charging etc. Since on mobile I generally watch movie, take some PhoTos, listen music, play casual games , web surfing. So think i can do this casual things on both mobile without much difference. (For information my current phone is Android one since last two years) My prime concept is long lasting durable phone with best in budget camera. My budget is around $400(25000 inr) So please help me to choose between those two. Any other suggestions are also welcome. Thanks

  • Press Power button + volume down key simultaneously

  • How to do screen shot with dis phone?

  • Lens of 6p is bigger than p9. Absorb more detail and reality to the picture. So 6p should be better.

  • Power+ volume down key

  • How to do screen shot with dis phone?

  • The x symbol indicate if ur turn on data it will appear LTE r 3g when if off the x symbol will shows that's the data as diss connected

  • Nexus 6p camera is quite very well (8/10)... Dont know about the quality of p9 camera.

  • When it comes to camera... Huawei P9 or Nexus 6P. who got the good chops? And, how big is the difference though?

  • Yup, after updated to nougat some apps crashing / force to stop sometimes (google play, 9gag, some apps even cant launch / not compatible maybe). Otherwise nougat is smooth and fast. I'm decided to downgraded to MM. Just wait for few updates / bug fixes.

  • With 1 hour of Need for speed No limit, i got 5 hours of SOT

  • of course nexus 6p without thinking

  • nexus 6p or honor 8? which one is better?

  • Hassan, thank you very much, this review is very useful, now I have one more question about the battery you have written very good, how many hours and what was your usage? youtubing? games etc...?

  • How much is it now? Can i get any with front camera for 16K? I'm in Port Harcourt. This particular one or alcatel

  • Hey i got the nexus 6p android nougat update and until now i have not faced any issue but one problem(this before android nougat also)heating issue 30-50 mins of heavy gameplay camera is excellent luv the stock android buttery smooth experience and i would further go on to say that it can possible be a good phone even in 2016 at that price range

  • I bought Nexus 6p a month back.. now battery is draining.. phone doesn't hold even 1% charge. Automatically phone is switched off when it is on.. very worst phone..

  • i have updated to Android N i get a 'x' symbol above the signal indicator.. what does 'x' means

  • I have received, no issue yet

  • Yup i got official ota update....!

  • Hey evn I have received update to and 7.0 Has anyone updated as yet?any issues faced?

  • Thanks for the Answers guys!!

  • Has someone got official nougat?

  • I got official ota update (not through dev support) here in Pakistan.... Power of Nexus 😍

  • Why no pixel phone in rumor mill?

  • - Nexus is the ultimate beast in terms of updates. (I already got official ota update of Android N, official ota! not through dev program) - Nexus is best performer of Android. - Battery is very good in nexus (5-6 SOT) - Build quality and hand feel of nexus 6p is extremely brilliant. - 64 GB or even 128 GB nexus 6p is here for u :)

  • 64GB nexus 6p is the best choice for you...

  • I had the same problem with my OnePlus One.

  • and big storage room sd card etc...

  • Hi Guys! Please help me! which is better option to buy. This 6p os P9 plus? Thanks in advance for the kind help. Important to me: updates, camrea, build quality and battery life. Thanks again.

  • I'm in United States

  • u r In which country?In Singapore I didnt receive any updates

  • This phon my big problem is Redio is not in this phon and I always here redio because redio gives country news and all music.. This is big problem of Google nexus 6p phon.

  • OTA

  • U got ota update or through dev program?

  • Stable (NRD90U update)

  • Fully agree on all these points...

  • Then why I haven't get it? What r u using beta or stable version?

  • Hi guys..I m facing big problem, my Nexus 6p is saying " system UI has stopped" and then I have to shutdown my mobile and make it hard reset by using side button, now I m not in the condition to use the phone...after hard reset it's OK for few times and then again it says " system UI has stopped" then again hard reset...what should I do...is it hardware problem or software problem? Please guys help me by ur decision

  • Let's see... - better chipset - bigger battery - much, much better camera - higher screen-to-body ratio - upgradable to the newest Android version, 7.0 Nougat - timely Android updates - monthly security updates - has USB Type-C - buttery smooth, fluid UI - (arguably) better looking

  • Point?

  • Nexus 6p obviously :-)

  • Nexus 6p or htc One m9+?

  • Best phone ever used If anyone wants rapidity and Casanova type of phone...its the 6P Dont go for its pure android and other things that people says...just see all the stable roms available for it...and 3rd party features/apps such as xposed modules Am sure that everyone's mouth will open as if pizza price have become 0 dollar :P

  • It seems that stock Android doesn't show 4G+ just like it doesn't show H+. So it will never show 4G+ even though it's supported.

  • Check what vodafone frequency use in your area, and see nexus 6p frequency capability

  • Hello guys. I have a question. Recently Vodafone updated their coverage to 4G+. My 6p does not show the 4G+ (or LTE +) icon. I.ve introduced the sim in another phone and it worked. As far as i know 6P should support 4G+. Does anyone experienced an issue like this ?

  • You don't have to use the beta to get Nougat, you can install it manually from Google's websites.

  • It's already released.

  • Ota update will come on 17 September

  • when nougat 7 is going to be release?

  • 1+3 is good but unable to compare with nexus 6p.... Oxygen OS has a lot of bugs, they require a lot of time to make it fully stable.

  • If not, install 3rd party app like ES file explorer from google play store..

  • 1+3

  • does nexus 6p hv file manager option?

  • What you mean beta first?

  • You will get it on 17th as will I according to google OTA update plan

  • You hace to log to the beta firts

  • I allways wondered why they make phones with no card slot. Do they really want you lose everything stored in the divice if it breaks?

  • U will get it soon budy, sit calm ;) samsung will get nougat in 6 months, while u will get within a month hopefully

  • Why i still didnt get?

  • Yup

  • You got nogaut already?

  • One plus 3 is beast..... .. Buy it I bought it and amazing experience

  • Timely fast updates, stereo front facing speakers, usb type c, full premium look nd feel.... Thats not look like boring. Samsung has touchwiz which will not give the maximum performance that pure android gives.

  • But nexus 6p kinda boring

  • No need... Nexus 6p is a beast in front of samsung

  • Should i change my nexus 6p to samsung s6 edge?

  • OnePlus 3, ZTE Axon 7, Huawei Honor 8, Alcatel Idol 4s, and probably Moto Z Play.

  • Nexus 6p or samsung s6 edge?

  • Thanks mate! V20 and next nexus will be out of my budget. :'( How about when I'm considering a phone that can last for 2 years with minimal to high usage? What would you suggest?

  • Thanks! Good choice. I'll consider note 5 also. :)

  • Does anyone of you try to install EMUI camera apk file and does it work? I switched my nexus 6P to huawei P9, got a little bit regret for changing it. 😂😂😂

  • Why still i didnt get update do nogaut???? :(

  • It depends on your preferences. Go for V10 if you want removable battery and superb audio quality. OnePlus 3 if you if you want current flagships' specs. Nexus 6P if you need timely updates. Please do keep in mind, though, that both V10's and 6P's successor will be announced in a month time. You may want to check them out first! :)

  • I was stuck between these options too. My 4th option was note 5. & I choose nexus 6p & a lot happy with it :') No android smartphone can beat pure android nexus :') & u will get timely regular fast updates which keeps smartphone upto date always.

  • yes. you can upgrade

  • Stuck between these options. V10 OnePlus3 Nexus 6P Vote and help guys!

  • Yup... & it will get android O too next year

  • got android 7 on my nexus

  • Does it is upgradable to v7.0???

  • Nopx. Surely u will not miss dedicate home button in note 7. U will enjoy on screen buttons on nexus 6p for sure...

  • Because nexus will remain always a king of Android smartphones ;)

  • Nopx. U will gonna enjoy on screen buttons in nexus 6p. Dedicated home button is something to apply some force to press. On screen buttons are more reliable too for smartphone. Dedicated buttons like volume rockers nd power button will stucks at some time in future.

  • I shouldn't think so. By the way, why are you moving to the 6P from the Note 7 so early?

  • Coming from a Note 7 to Nexus 6p, do you think I'll miss the dedicated home button?

  • It's because there was a staged rollout.

  • Until when i get an OTA update why took so long? Only press release? Maygad

  • Cool

  • Keep calm :') nexus users is getting nougat, all will get before everyone else that include samsung, htc nd lg ;)

  • Does everyone got update to 7.0?

  • Nexus 6p is around 500$ 64gb version now. U will get best smartphone with little price tag compared to other 2. Daily usage on nexus 6p is blazing fast and smooth. Regular fast updates. Without any doubt nexus 6p (y)

  • Nexus 6P, S7 Edge or Note 7?

  • hi all. my nexus 6p screen is from reddish on the top half to greenish coming down. who else has this problem? is it the glue? will it get fixed with use?

  • Yup easily

  • How's the battery life, will it last at least a day after heavy use?

  • Hi,why still i dont get update to nogaut?

  • 100% sure nexus 6p. It will get maximum updates for atleast 2 years from now.

  • Which one shoudl i get the iPhone 6s, Nexus 6P or the Oneplus 3 can't decide w/c one.. Will all last me 2 - years?

  • yamiacaveman, I came in in the middle of this...but how about something trivial causing problems.....a case that may be hitting a button? Maybe a screen protector that isn't sensing taps correctly or is damaged or has something under it putting pressure on the screen.... Sometimes its the little non technical things that can cause problems! Best of luck....

  • Official update popped up. Sizing to 1.2 gb approx.

  • Kiloo- Are you on the developers program? Or did the update roll out?

  • I said it could be - I wasn't being rude. As I do not know the full situation because the unit isn't in front of me all I can offer are suggestions.

  • Dude I am not against you. I understand that you have a totally different experience from using this phone compared to others. And I am not justifying the rude way people commented at your post. The fact is though that the Nexus unit that I own works to my satisfaction. If only one device is affected and you haven't flashed your phone means it could be a touchscreen related issue -ask for a replacement immediately. The phone is good, there are many reputed reviews of this phone on the internet that attest to this as well, but at the same time I do not say you are talking gibberish. When you were talking about the square button shrinking the screen I thought you were saying the whole screen shrinks like in the Samsung note series, but you were talking of the app shrinking. Well that was my bad , you can close the app after pressing the square button by swiping the shrunken app to the left or right. And the kids comment- I meant it. Just because you are older doesn't mean you can't just say that sentence without hurting the sentiment of a group- the same one you are asking the suggestions from. Finally thank-you for replying. If this doesn't solve the problems with your phone feel free to leave a comment, some people do genuinely want to help.

  • Nopx, its single sim

  • Is this dual sim?

  • Fastest updates ever! Fluidity on its peak, no lag, no heat. Awsome screen, perfect camera, best front facing speakers. Inshort the best smartphone. Nexus 6p is much better then note 5.

  • My fellow Nexusians---update your phone to 7.0.. battery is improved credits to doze-2.0. very smooth transitions...more comfortable. especially the pull down notifications, recent apps switch, settings is more what we call" make sense"now.

  • both are good. it depends on your pocket... better than normal usage is 5x and premium, performance and price is 6p.

  • Don't take things on your heart. ignore them. if you said so you bought 3---- 6p's and one is misbehaving. why don't you get it checked..? no phone is perfect. Any phone could have factory/hardware issues. get it repaired. and you are good to go.

  • lg Nexus 5x and nexus 6p.

  • Hi sideswipper, Really I don't know what made me respond to your response, but only to clear up your responses. I bought 3 nexus 6ps all at the same time from the google store - so unless someone slipped in knock offs? Only one of them misbehaves. The phones have never been flashed by anyone. On your main screen - your phone does not have a back symbol or let me put it this way on the bottom of your phones screen, a triangle, circle and a square symbol?????? And when you push the square button your current screen does not shrink??? And gives you the option to close that screen? I did not belittle anyone - in essence I was attached, by an ill mannered child, that should have been taught some manners by his old father instead of his father mastering his phone, period. Finally you can't blame people for acting on my post, what kind of logic and forum is this? My first post, and because it does not idolize the nexus 6p I am to be chastised and treated as scum and you can justify that? Of course I could be in the wrong place, but it is for opinions, no? And stating the wrong opinion gets you tagged as a troll?? Sorry if this forum is so bias on its phones and posts it is not a very objective place to gain any reliable information. Think about it.

  • shall i buy this phone ? huawei nexus what about the performances ? battery , camera nd speed ?

  • no you snouldnt you should buy a pc and buy a bad phone like a nokia

  • I can't say anything unless you say which two phones are your options. No lag from the Nexus till now though

  • Definitely

  • sould i buy this phone? im looking a phone that i can use for 2,5 - 3 years without too much lag, a phone that dosent break if a drop it a couple of time, a phone that can handle heavy gaming, some apps and have good battery life. Im really comfusted between these two phone. I know that nexus 6p is amazing but i hate that it is a ridiculously big phones especially since I have small hands. But i love that it is a stock android phone with the latest uppdates. should i still go with it? the 32 Gb version cost 3989kr ( 474,92 USD)

  • Pros: - Gets updates fast, being a Nexus device. However, Google lowered their "3 years of updates" policy down to two, so I wouldn't consider this a pro anymore. - Good camera. HDR is nice. - Front facing speakers. They sound pretty bad, but they're still front facing. Cons: - Runs hot as hell, making the device annoying to use when it makes your hands sweat. A slippery, metal case doesn't help at all. - Huge screen - both a pro and a con. - Bad battery life for a device with this huge of a battery.

  • should i buy this phone to my 13 years old daughter?

  • It may also be due to some malware. As for the fact that people acting up on your post, I can't blame them because a ton of Apple fanboys are telling this page so instead of reasoning with them most people tend to be resentful and fight.

  • Read the whole thing yamiacaveman:- By the things you are describing I can only conclude what you have bought is not a Nexus 6p but some bad clone or defective device. The square button doesn't shrink screen, Nexus devices don't have that functionality. There is also a possibility that someone flashed your phone with a custom ROM as majority of the problems you are describing aren't effecting any other Nexus as it would have become a giant issue to debate in the tech space. And don't use every chance to belittle us kids , most of us take care of our things well and know how to behave properly.

  • y'all chill pls

  • And this comment is from a man bragging about his qualifications online. If you really are a computer engineer that's worth your salt, you should know how to operate a mobile phone. My dad doesn't have any qualifications you mentioned, yet he manages to tame his Android device. Either you're lying about those qualifications or you're simply just a Internet troll from the start. Peace.

  • So swirly, Once again I come to a forum that offers nothing other than crude personal remarks rather than constructive suggestions. Apparently for some reason, posting rules do not apply to you. My constructive suggestion to you would be for you to go for help to control your anger issues. Seemed like a nice forum on the outside, but goodby. yamiacaveman

  • Did you get those qualifications for free? I'm sorry, but my dad who is much older than you can handle his Android phone just fine.

  • I think you are overreacting. Hold down your horses. And give away your nexus!!!

  • Ive owned my Nexus 6p for a while now,and it has been the best phone. Really fast and a great finger print reader. 10/10

  • Yes Nexus is a beast - a beast of it's own. Shortly after I wrote that post I tried to call my son - 16 times I tapped his portrait before the phone started to dial. When I was done with my conversation I set the phone down on the kitchen table and an a app I use for my escort radar dector opened up. Iaman Electrical and Computer engineer, master degree in Power distribution, a certified ethical hacker, ham radio operator and a certified scuba diver. I think some of those qualification might give me the ability to handle Android???????????

  • Android is full of customization. You need a phone with rules. Iphone is what u shud buy Sir. Nexus is a beast which you cannot handle.

  • Just reset phone maybe it will help

  • My 6p is JUNK. Sometimes when I just set it down on a table (I'm 60 years old so I don't throw it like you kids do) the phone picks someone at radome and starts dialing or it will open a random app and just let it run. The ring volume seems to constantly move to the off position and or to the do not disturb setting. I have suggested like a are you sure screen for this but I am sure that won't happen. Pressing a common icon button like to dial home, I have to hit (at times) 15 to 20 times before it dials home, along with that to answer a call, hitting the answer does nothing until the call finally goes to voicemail. When you press the little square like bottom right to close a screen the screen shrinks in size and then a x appears, touching the x opens up the screen again - ok so I have big fingers but after indicating you want the screen closed by pushing the square button the x should have a wider area to close when you touch it. I'm sure I forgot a few things but last, and I have not been there in a while is tech support -- Oh just do a factory reset -- 2 hours later and then 4 days latter trying to get your apps and settings back?? well that's it for me.

  • the phone is phenomenal works very good with no issues at all idk why people are complaining and battery life is pretty good anyway people do any one of you got the android N Update ??

  • What the heck are you talking about? Go troll somewhere else.

  • Do not purchase the Nexus 6p. I have had a cell phone since the mid 1995 and this has been an awful experience! No one can hear me or I cannot hear them OR both! Go to google support forum, Nexus 6p. You will see why you should NOT purchase this phone.

  • How is compared to an iPhone? Zand will this last me two years if I buy it right now?

  • Good headphones are very cheap these days, you can buy them through Amazon or eBay.

  • Sadly In America, they are not included. But I couldn't care less, I have my own Sennheisers.

  • Hey guys. I own this phone for about a month and I'm really satisfied with it. Great cameras, no lag, loud speakers. I would say I'm a heavy user (4g always on, wifi and location on, games and apps through the day), I charge it twice a day. But thats it. It gets hot only while fast charging. I think it's a perfect smartphone. U can watch videos on the internet and see for yourself. And last, the fact about included earphones, not included in mine. Must depend on the country it's sold.

  • I'd get the nexus 6p great buy right of the box without any modifications. The Op3 is not a good phone for an everyday user since it does not have the potential of stock android.

  • Android Nougat 7.0 is AWSOME!!!

  • Planning to get this phone, is it still worth or should i hold off and get the new nexus? How good is this compared to iPhone and Oneplus 3

  • Is this phone available in dual sim variant?

  • Indeed this phone is a phone many who have them say is a powerful made and I love that. I hope Nexus 7P will come next year with much improved snapdragon from 810 TO 830 and from 3gb ram to 4 or 5gb ram with the CPU of octa-core 2.6 ghz of speed. The screen size and resolution could be maintained. I wish you make the beast nexus phone ever. I know you can do it.

  • If not nexus 6p then s7 not s7 edge... P.s- nothing can compete pure android through a Nexus.

  • 6p or S7 edge? Any problems with 6p?

  • nexus 6p or note 4 which is the best to buy?

  • Facebook is cancer to all andriod phones

  • If you don't care too much about OS updates, go with one plus

  • In India its included in the box.

  • No, they are not included.

  • Nexus 6p or one plus 3 ? which is best

  • If you actually cared about music, you'd already have a quality pair of headphones/iems of your own.

  • Earphones are included in the box.

  • that's really bad, where do i get a good headphones for this mobile it should be icluded in the box of the phone

  • Must be an isolated issue, claim your warranty. In my case my WiFi modem is in the living room, and I don't get disconnected when i walk through the apartment.

  • Nope

  • there's no headphones in the box of this device????

  • Do not forget the CopperheadOS variant. It is an official variant of the Nexus 6P (5X is also available) with a clean Android, but with EVEN FASTER security updates.

  • Nexus 6P is wayyy better !!!!!

  • Humein nexus 6p would be better option for you. Because it's a very good phone with pure android tech. Its 1.55 large camera sensor admitted to world of naturally. Also the type c USB cable will push you into a fast charge and faster data transfer.

  • nexus 6p or samsung s6 edge? fast plz

  • Am the owner of a Nexus 6P its one of the best phone that ive ever used, i deal in phones so i know what i'm talking about, battery life is perfect ofc if you know how to use the phone, u get updates within seconds and it feels really good in hands ^^...its a very dangerous and powerful phone if ever you root it xD A***************** for the phone ;)

  • How too solve mic problem

  • Its fine now. You felt that heat due to metal body. Hold any high end phone..s6, s7 note 5..u will feel hot.. but when you will hold..moto g4 with plastic body..u will feel it doesnt get heat up fast...actually plastic is not a good conductor of heat. Metal heats up fast cools down fast. So dont worry..you can put your hands on beast---Nexus#...

  • Its amoled. Super amoled has one layer less... Otherwise it's same.

  • is it amoled only or super amoled?

  • Download Spec Device from Play store

  • no

  • The device does not offer expandable storage.

  • someone sad that Its not sd810 its a revision 810 2.1 quite different. How can I recognise what is inside, by imei, product date...??

  • Can you tell me is it still getting heat for use, or it's history by 6.0 . I's biggest isue for me for buy ??

  • what do you mean? there's no SD card slot

  • No SD. So, no.

  • Anyone know if u can move apps to SD???

  • i only try 3p before xd

  • Yes it does do that sometimes only if something is on in the background though but I usually switch it off and let it cool down.u don't nessesarily need to switch it off it does cool down.this is nothing by the way u should feel HTC m9 and it's hell if you do something intensive.

  • 6P

  • Nexus 6p

  • nexus 6p because it'll get update faster. Low light camera on 6P is amazing.

  • the phone is unnaturally warm even when idle. this is a bad sign. android 6.01.

  • Check if you have location or mobile hotspot on. After you complaint I had actually deliberately tried to run the battery down(too much free time ;)) and the worst on time I got was 3 hr 50min .

  • Huawi nexus 6p or xperia x ? Which is better to buy ?

  • Check Rating bro , 9/10 , means it is Very cool (Remember , Nothing is perfect) Iphone 6 has 9/10 too

  • I am going to buy nexus 6p..i m much scared.some say its v bad ..some say good..what u say

  • Pls tell me ....how is sound quality in headset of nexus 6p? Bcoz i need bass and good sound

  • Its was a problem in the first batch when the phone was launched. But its been 8-months it was rectified a long way ago. Don't worry. I think you are new to AMOLED display.

  • I have checked it. I just have basic apps such as whatsapp and fb etc. Nothing intensive.

  • please tell me about that yellow tint on screen. Is it a rumour or what?

  • 4 to 4 and a half hours and I play at least one hour worth of heavy games. You should go to battery settings and check if some unwanted app is sucking your battery or check battery optimization for unoptimized apps.

  • Guys. I'm getting a screen on time of 2 and half hours on very basic usage. I won't play heavy games. I do keep the brightness at minimum. I clear all running apps. Still i get very poor battery. It hardly lasts a day without any usage. What's your screen on time?

  • I don't know what you're talking about, the phone you're describing looks like an iphone.

  • 6p

  • Nexus 6P, of course. Forget about the HTC One A9. Not even an option.

  • Nexus 6p is very good phone, easy to use. User friendly .....

  • Guys pls tell me which phone is good? Nexus 6p or htc one a9??

  • Man you don't know how to use the phone sell it any by a samsung phone and don't come back to nexus phones. I have this phone for sometime now and it's awesome

  • aw mannn, come on, if you dunno how to use it, then don't buy it, u talk about no file manager? there's one built in in the storage & USB option, and if ur wifi doesn't connect, that means u get a faulty set, go and claim ur warranty my friend, 1 more thing to keep in your mind though, there are tons of phone changing to USB type-C, and if you don't know how useful that port is in the future tech, google it yourself.

  • Wait something is wrong here. You have had this phone over six months and you just now are figuring things out! Try unlocking and rooting and using a custom ROM. Sounds like you need a Sammy preloaded device this phone just plain kicks ass and you don't know how to get the fullest from this device either that or your a lame!

  • Nexus 6p, I m using this phone since 6 month, this is the worst phone from every angle, wifi doesn't connect,no folder option mp3 player,no file manager in built, storage & USB has no useful options in it,don't buy this or any nexus phone

  • Thank you sir.

  • This is a fabulous phone' hard to get you're head around it.

  • Would like to thank you for your feedback on this phone. I've had it since last October and also got rid of my S6. Great phone as you mentioned. Also like the bluemail that you suggested, alot better than the gmail app for my exchange account.

  • Out of the box available space u get 53.67GB.

  • Can someone who bought the 64GB Nexus 6P tell me how much storage is available to the user.

  • I bought this phone a few months ago, and am I glad that I did. I owned a Samsung S6 for over a year, and it was a constant battery drain. Very disappointed. So, after reading numerous reviews, I broke down, took a chance, and bought the Nexus 6P online (it was cheaper at Best Buy than on Google Play Store). Make sure it's OK for your provider. I called mine to get them to mail me the SIM card, inserted it in, and it worked perfectly (if you try to get them to do it in-store they may not be as cooperative, to which you will want to call your provider by phone, explain the purchase, verify the phone ID, and get them to mail you the SIM card). First, the negatives. It has no memory card slot and no removable battery. This was the biggest deterrence from me buying the Nexus phone line, as it was one of the main problems I had with the Samsung S6 (after previous Samsung models contained both the memory card slot and removable battery). The saving grace with the Nexus 6P is that you can buy the 128GB version of this phone at a lower cost than the flagship phones with half the memory. Second, the camera in the 6P, while good, is not as good as the camera in the Samsung S6 (the one thing that phone has going for it). The night pictures, especially, require a steady hand, and if you necessitate good pic editing capabilities, you will need to install a third party app to accomplish that. Third, the Nexus 6P does not come pre-installed with an email button or native voicemail. You will want to use Google Voice as your primary voicemail (it will even transcribe your voice messages). Also, if you use Exchange email, with no pre-installed email button or app, Nexus tries to push you into using Gmail to answer all of your emails. Unless you want to have your work emails showing up in your Gmail, you will want to use a third party app. I use BlueMail for my Exchange emails, and it is as good as any native Email Exchange app. Now, for the positives. The Nexus 6P is a stock Google phone. That means it has none of the pre-installed bloatware that comes with the flagship phones you buy from the brick-and-mortar stores. Also, when there's an update to the Android OS, the Nexus is the first to update and upgrade your OS (and by extension your apps). This makes a huge difference in how smoothly your OS and phone functions. In my three months of ownership, I have had none of the lagging issues I had with the 6P, even though some of the newer flagship phones supposedly have better processors. Well, in those three months, I've personally handled an LG V10, G5, and S7, and none are faster or smoother in everyday usage than the Nexus 6P. That alone makes the phone worth it. Second, the battery. I concede, the 6P is not perfect on battery life. It's an Android OS, meaning app memory drain issues galore. However, the 3,450 mAh battery size is much bigger than the Samsung S6, and it shows. I use over 150 apps, am what would be described as a "power user," and I can get a full work day's use out of the phone without much difficulty (something I couldn't do with the Samsung S6 without minimizing or compromising phone use). From my use estimation, the battery is better than the LG V10, G5, Samsung S7 (never mind the S6), and comparable to the S7 Edge (I have not tried the Note 7). In short, the battery is good, better than most, but is not as good as I had hoped (for the battery's size). Still, overall, it's a plus, considering how horrible the S6 was before it. Thirdly, as an adjunct of the battery, the battery charge is excellent. True, there's no wireless charging, and that's a deficit, but the company who makes this phone model, Huawei, gives you two charge cords, with your phone--one is a short USB plug in, and the second is a 2-sided c-cord with a fast charge adapter. And it charges incredibly fast. This is both a blessing and a curse. A blessing because it charges quickly, faster than the Samsung fast charge (by my estimation). However, it's a curse because few companies use the c-cord charge. It is the future of wire charging, and you will need to go online and stock up on a couple of extra charge cords for work and the car. Still, I give credit to Huawei for putting two charge cords with the phone box. That is the first time I've seen a company do that (and I hope it's a harbinger of things to come). Lastly, if you are considering this phone, please, only do so if you like a larger size phone. It's a 5.7+ inch phone (it says 5.7, but it feels closer to 6 inches), which I actually like and prefer over the seemingly and increasingly smaller phones that the flagships have been moving towards. To me, this is a mistake, but I have a friend who loved his Nexus 6P, minus the size, and sent it back because of this. It's a preference for some, one I have, but not everyone may agree with. To summate, I would highly recommend this phone to anyone, particularly for Android OS users who are tired of the bugs in the flagship phones. You will not regret this purchase.

  • Great!

  • Hi guys. Im looking to buy this phone. Please rate the phone out of 5. Display, performance, battery life, camera quality ( both in low light and in daylight) , sound quality etc. If any problems is there please post. Help me to spend my time in a good device bro thanks. Im already having XPERIA t2 ultra which is a great device. I need to upgrade to a new phone with all features with good pricing. Thank you for your rating bro in advance.

  • Thanks for sharing your experience... appreciate it!

  • I use the nexus 6p for about 2 month now and I'm a heavy user I noticed some heat sometime but nothing to worry about.

  • I use presently the nexus 6p and it's really awesome.

  • Do you guys know when the first price drop will be incomming? In Germany, this phone still cost (64GB) 570 bucks which is expensive!

  • 6p or lg g4?

  • I have frequent wifi disconnection and it's kinda annoying...

  • The Nexus 6P had a small instability with wifi connections, this is no longer the case as this was an bug in the OS itself. I've had this phone for almost one year and not had a single problem with it, it's the best phone i've ever had, easily!

  • Really appreciate your advice. I'll definitely use a case & tempered glass :) Thank you bro!

  • not at all regarding those issue for me. but make sure get urself a case because most of the people said that it is easy to damage ur phone with naked body if you aren't careful enough

  • Thanks for the reply... do you face any bluetooth or wifi problem? any build quality issue (screen scratch or crack) ? Thanks again!

  • That's what we call an ideal phone, almost.

  • nope just become warm after several hour of usage

  • Guys, i'm going to buy this Nexus 6p... is there any over heat issue? that is making me worry... thanks!

  • I dont usually like the samsung's gimmicky feature along with their lag-y touch wiz! I think you should go for 6p.. stock android is just diffrent feeling! Huawei just made the chassis(body).. Its basically a Google's product

  • Hi... did u compare Nexus 6p with Samsung S7 edge? I am really confused between these two. Huawei is not well know in India and there are no service stations in Mumbai. This is my only concern.. otherwise I am totally a Nexus die hard fan

  • I bought 6p in 17th July. so far soo good.. performance is just flawless.. using apps in nexus devise is just an experience of another level.. btw i came from htc one m8! which is also a nice phone bt nexus 6p lived in another world! this phone is blistering-ly fast.. metaphorically I would say 6P is basically the Ferrari of smartphones, its super fast and makes you wonder how you are able to put up with other smartphones back in couple years ago!!

  • Anybody got android N dP 5 ota update

  • OTA updates around november...

  • hi folks , i would like to share my experiences with google nexus phones . 1st i bought ' Google/Lg nexus 5' wow it was pretty fast like rocket . i was amazed with the over all performance of the phone , only con is poor battery life in nexus 5 but used it for 3 years damn roughly . i must say it was rough & tough , 0 problems or issues for 3 years . Then i bought 'Google/huawei nexus 6 p' wowwww amazing phone , best battery life , best colors , very very very fast . the best thing about google [hones are you will get new android/upgrade where next day when it launches if you purchase it from google web site . i am in Canada and wow google.ca is pretty amazing . thanks for manufacturing such a lovely handsets , i love it . thanks .

  • I've had the Nexus 6P for 3 months, i used to have Samsung Note 3 Looking at the specs i went with 6P instead of note 5, also my girl has note 5 and I can be weird about having same things as other, but that's beside the point Hardware wise I love the nexus 6p. It doesn't get slow all of a sudden and its very responsive and smooth and the cache or memory holds up with watching videos using interfaces such as KODI. I compared a lot of phones did a lot of research and this phone is a great choice. But now that i have it, I say to myself i would have rather gone with a samsung (note 5). This is mainly because of built in software. the nexus shuts of at 1% battery and does not leave you with any emergency power if you need to get your phone back on to make a final phone call or lookup a number. My old samsung and my girlfriends samsung turns off around 2 or 3 %, but will turn back on allowing yourself some time to make that phone call or search a number. Nexus is great for me because i can handle going through menus for settings etc. but does not have the ease of use samsung software provides like turning off and on adaptive display. (the adaptive display on nexus works, but sometimes makes you feel like it doesn't). Quick options from pull down lack on the nexus when compared to samsung. Some feature not so important like IR i wish were on nexus (when wanting to use your phone as a remote). The samsung is capable of being a remote for any device that uses IR signal, versus nexus only connects to smart devices. At the end of the DAY........... Nexus hardware is solid but lacks extra features compared to samsung Nexus software and ease of using and far in comparison to my experience with my old samsung Also--- the screen was supposed to be a higher level of gorilla glass, but i find it scratches fairly easily. Hope this helps.

  • Aug-Sept

  • I‘m considering to upgrade my phone... Nexus 6P or Huawei P9 Plus? which one is better & why? Thank you in advance!

  • anyone knew when android n update comes???

  • It doesn't over heat.actually it heats up same like normal phone its just that the metal is a good conductor of heat. Heats up fast cools down fast, rather than a plastic body. In s7 edge it feels like its very warm more than you think that's do you to water proof locks the air can not escape. We feel it only due to metal bodies. Other wise these are tested. And nexus 6p behaves normal. No need to worry my fellow nexus-ians.

  • The issue of phones backside overheating is the same across all other phones running the Snapdragon 810 chip.

  • Which is the best ?Lg g5 Se or Huawei Nexus

  • It heats up because it hass high resolution screen.. so nothing to worry

  • bare in mind, op3 do have shorter battery performance compare to other, i mean a comparison with all those competitor phone in terms of those standby time, calling time, browsing time, gaming time. OP3 do have dash charging is indeed a great advantage, but bear in mind that, every phone's battery do have a life span as the charge cycle increase, the performance of the battery will deteriorate and you will have a shorter standby time. Why don't you go for a phone that charge longer(most of the flagship phone or future flagship phone that having qualcomm chips do have fast charge 3.0), and last longer than OP3.

  • I went with the nexus. It should be quicker and has better specs. The nexus is also large phone and you may or may not want that.

  • Hello guys, I've recently bought Nexus 6p but it heats up a lot specially when I use camera or play a game, did I receive a faulty piece of nexus 6p? or it's normal?

  • I am having the dilemma I think I am going with OP3 because of the camera quality, Dash Charge, and Insane RAM for the price. Yes the 6P does have a bigger battery but the dash charge in OP3 can bump you up to 60% in 30 mins.

  • which is best 1+3/nexus 6p?

  • Started with Google with the Nexus 5, which was a great phone with a small price tag. The to the Nexus 6 which was $$$ but I wanted the newest updated "now" and loved the screen size for streaming my TiVo anywhere. I still use it in the house using all the apps and functions over wifi but without a sim. Its great to use as a backup when you work from home. I recently purchased the Nexus 6P after much investigation into the 810 V2.1 to see about overheating, and to the claims that it bends easily. Both are false with my use. No overheating after 4 hours of continuous video play at 1080p. It was just warm to the touch. I purchased the official Nexus case from Google which is perfect in my opinion. Slim and easy to handle without slippage. I have never dropped or broke a device in my lifetime. I treat it like something you paid so much $$ for the way it should be handled. I'm 43 y/o started out on BB's provided by Company but Google has come a long way. The Nexus 6P is a great phone IF, you do not need large amounts of storage on the device and can stream from the cloud or home NAS, you do not mind taking pics/vids using a tripod seeing no OIS and you don't mind changing all your chargers to usb type C 24 pin. If you can handle that then this phone may be great for you. Running dev Nougat on Nexus 6 and the changes that will come to the Nexus 6P will make it more exciting and extend the usability. Enough rambling on rose...

  • This phone is amazing, even though it's old it can still keep up with some of the best phones of 2016; my only complaint is the Bluetooth doesn't work for sharing files. But I think it's just a software bug. Anyways I'd give this phone a 10/10 even with the Bluetooth problem.

  • Good , charging is v fast of Nexus 6p Nd I love the camera Nd finger print scanner

  • just awesome handset....

  • Every year or so there would be a new nexus. That doesnt mean that old one is obsolete at least not in the case of nexus series. As you will be up to date for a long time. If you can wait then buy the new one or nexus 6p is good enough. P.s- nexus 6p is not that old. Its still the beast in the land of android.

  • Your exprience is totally dependent on google fi. Try to use it with operator like solely Then it would come different and positive.

  • okay

  • Wait for the new nexus

  • Its one of the best Nexus product ever made. They are not heating issues even if you play for longer durations.Display is good. Camera is also good, but the only thing that it lacks is various manual controls. Battery life is good. Lasts me whole day when i play, text, see movies ,listen music. Doze is good & with new improved doze 2.0 in Andriod N battery life is better. Sound quality is also good. Must buy phone!!

  • yes

  • I perplexed by all the rave reviews. I've had this phone since it came out and I'm on Google Fi. That may be part of the problem. The one good thing about the phone is Google does update it montly. Other than that I give the Phone a C+ at best. My first stock Android phone but I find it lacks refinement. Build quality so so. Had an HTC prior to this phone and preferred it. Bought this phone so that I could go on Fi. Service is fair. Price is good. Yet, not sure it's worth the trade off in quality of cell calls. Everyday I deal with phone issues. Wifi calling is half baked IMO. Calls dropped, Caller hears me, I can't hear them, echo chamber, etc. Don't believe all the superlatives. Doubt I'll still have this phone in 6 months. Too many hassles.

  • Is that enough for you to buy it?

  • i want it?

  • tell me how about battery ?

  • what are you taking?

  • You're talking about a company called Nexus Services which sells financial services relating to paying bail. This Nexus is a brand from Google which they use for their series of direct partnerships with phone manufacturers. Totally unrelated.

  • please tell me if this phone's worth buying for?

  • What the heck are you talking about?

  • would never buy any product supported by Nexus. Some of there representives live in Augusta Co. Va. They own property and are sueing local Sherriffs Dept. These people came from up North and are disgusting. They claim they represent Nexus and there policys. Nexus needs to leave this area. I will never purchase. anything that represents them

  • I had certain expectations of Huwawei. I never expected to be delighted to a smartphone product, and Huawei Nexus 6P unexpectedly delivered it. I have been a conformist when it comes to smartphones: had LG G3, HTC One M8, Samsung Galaxy S5 and S6 Edge, and recently Note 5. I then heard about Nexus 6P in November and shrugged it off and just bought the Note 5 around December. I'm okay with Note 5 because I was used to it. I then made a gamble to try the Nexus 6P and much less, it's Huawei. What the heck is Huawei right? Boy I was wrong. My gamble payed off as I am so much having fun with the phone, 8 months after its release. The build is superb, back design looks unique, durability is great, the screen is fantastic, camera is great (which was an issue for Nexus phones I researched), speakers are marvelous. And the customizations, oh man. My phone doesn't look generic and the interface and software capabilities are splendid. If you can compromise expandable sd slot, non dual sim, miracast (a downer), and wireless charging, go get this phone. PS: Get the rose gold version, it's not a fingerprint magnet and has a subtle hardware and software upgrades from what I heard.

  • if it had dual sim version i would buy one but single sim is really a headache

  • Dude its clear 6p takes the race....6p is flagship and 1+3 ...well jus forget and opt for nexus

  • It plays it flawlessly. Dont worry about gaming performance. In fact you will love it playing because of two front facing stereo speaker and ofcourse the 2k amoled display.

  • If u want better resale value then go for Note 5 ..Samsung anytime wus get better resale... feature wise nexus 6p is far superior in fact the phone with best sound output and very loud.Speakers are crazy. display is par with note 5 . Front camera nexus 6p better than note 5 .. Rear camera due to sw note 5 wins the race. Ram 6p has 3gb and is more fluid than note 5. 6p has no stylus what note highlights and is one very useful thing in tech world. Looks nexus 6p gild color totally beats note 5 metal and glass body. nexus 6p has so much customizations in form of skins and logos. Remaining decision is yours. If u can wait a Lil bit then I wud suggest to wait a month or so and better go for Note 7.

  • some one suggest me which smartphone to go for huawei nexus 6p or one plus 3..? am confused

  • Hiii @Ricc... how does nexus 6p perform on heavy graphical gaming like real racing 3!! last time i played real racing 3 on htc one m7 which was lacked a little bit while playing..!

  • I am very confused between Note 5 and nexus 6p tell me which is best with reasons thank you all in advance

  • sure huawei nexus 6p there's not big difference but huawei is better than motorola

  • Visit customer care centre

  • Hey guys confused as hell on what to buy Nexus 6p or oneplus 3 Oneplus has a better processor more Ram and a good UI 6P has a front firing speakers 2k resolution( though woudnt matter much since most all content are all only Full HD) and stock UI I wanna know hows the battery between he two and the performance and is it worth spending 130 dollars more than OP3 to get some features

  • Has anyone faced the problem of battery drain I am facing Battery drain issue plus my phone gets switched off at 5 percent is there any solution?

  • You want big screen? You want a processor which is a little less in performance You dont want two sterio speakers. You dont want great camera..then u might want to buy motorola nexus 6.

  • huawei nexus 6p or motorola nexus 6, which one is better?

  • I love my Nexus 6p great camera great speakers great deaign I also own a Samsung Galaxy note 5 two beat phones ever. Stop winging about the Nexus huawei did an amazing job they are only getting better and better.

  • of course

  • have this celular hebrew language?

  • "Specific absorption rate (SAR) is a measure of the rate at which energy is absorbed by the human body when exposed to a radio frequency (RF) electromagnetic field" source: wikipedia

  • "we dont need customers like you" are you working for the company or something?

  • Hey guys Should i wait for the nexus 6 (2016) or go for the 6p?? Considering that ot has been out for more than half year

  • what is sar?

  • How can I find out which version(us or global) a certain device is? I want to buy second hand in Europe and I want to find out if its US or global version.

  • I think you have little knowledge on this part..go get it right.. a phone of global launch cannot go alive until it follows rules and policies set by the authorities guiding them... Sar value on this phone is safe for human to use.

  • Yeah you can do it. Buy the otg cable from ebay, google store etc...

  • No there aren't.

  • Poor call quality.. microphone seems not sensitive to low sounds

  • My 6p also getting over heating.. is there any way to fix this issue

  • One plus 3

  • I would like to know whether there are any hearing issues while playing HD games ? .

  • Enjoy Android N..Preview 4...now its stable for daily driver.

  • Em not able to change the quick settings in the notifications..every tym I change it in the system ui tuner..the changes doesn't get saved..what to do guys ??

  • Hi guys, I really wanna know how do I get an original USB cable for the data transfer.i really wanna know can we actually connect a USB flash drive to the phone and expand its memory or data transfer?

  • If u ask me, i'll go for Nexus 6P... better speakers, camera & battery life! Price might be higher...

  • The nexus 6P is an awesome phone, very stable, super fast and battery life is also great! but the most disturbing part for me is the SAR of it... It's a little bit under the maximum rate and it's the highest i've personally ever seen, so for those of you that looking for the SAR just keep that in mind.

  • Buy both. As simple as that

  • Which one is better for 2-3 year nexus 6p oor. galaxy S7 and note 5 tell me fast

  • get the iphone 6s. i own the nexus 6p its an absolute powerhouse but its stock android so dont be expecting anything fancy on the software side..that all comes with customization and from the sounds of things, your choosing between a nexus and a iphone. lol please dont get a nexus we dont need customers like you, go to apple :)

  • If you had to decide between Nexus 6P and OnePlus 3... which one do you think would win the decision?

  • Its not sd810 its a revision 810 2.1 quite different

  • Its 6.01

  • I had a Huawei Honor X and I used it for a few months and it was so flaky also a Lenovo which was a shocker could not identify my carrier so returned it to China (Hong Kong)and I went to a G3 from LG but now I have ordered the 6P fingers crossed .

  • It has been released as a beta and is available for download

  • Brands such as Samsung HTC have failed to equalise the quality and features Nexus 6p has provided. I am a core apple user but have used nearly all Android handsets such as s7, HTC 10 but 6p stands above them. Wonderful piece, outstanding hardware and brilliant software. Just the best and only Android handset to stand by iPhone 6s plus.

  • Been using 6P for a few weeks. The thing that I love the most is its stock Android. It make me wonder why other brands have to modify the OS. I'll stick to stock Android for my next phone. The display and sound are also awesome.

  • Best Android smart phone of the century . I ve been using Iphone for many years then I planned to switch Android and I've chosen 6P eventhough it's Chinese Huawei. It is very silky and smooth and strongly recommend for any one who want to choose Android or switch Android from IOS

  • Android n is not released... it will be available late summer

  • The nexus 6p has android M (6.0) android N is 7.0

  • Help!! Which one should I buy? Huawei nexus 6P or huawei P9??? Bot are amazing devices... 6P have a larger screen and is amoled...camera is good too, but I dont like the micro sound quality on video!! 6p have stock android and all uptades...thats good!! However P9 have the perfect screen size for me... Im a little bit confused, cant decide wich one should I buy...

  • hey, what version of android you have in you nexus 6p? is it the latest (android N)?

  • I upgraded to the Nexus 6P from my Nexus 6 eight months ago. Since day one it has had a GhostArmour screen protector and a Spigen thin case. I have never had any issues with it. It performs like a charm. I have been reading this thread and see that some or a lot of people have issues with their 6P, but I am not one of them. I like this phone a lot and have recommended it to others and they haven't had issues with their devices either.

  • Are you kidding here 6p is a beast. Watch videos over youtube all the latest high end phones are compared with nexus 6p.

  • Huawei said they will made the next nexus but my 6p broke in 4 MONTHS I remove my case and it bend like a butter And i just download Minecraft and it crashes even i dont use social media too much Ill wait until HTC Made the Nexus cause i bought the 10 and its sooo much better And its stutdy i drop it like 7 feet and it didnt even crack or break without a case So i will skip the Huawei Nexus 7p/7x

  • I agree... no throttling issues.

  • Don't use phone while charging. Delete redundant apps and if still problem persists factory reset your phone. I have not encountered any throttling as of now.i have been using the phone for three months.if you could give specific instances I could be of more help.

  • Factory reset your phone

  • nexus. you\ll get the best android version and huawei are doing great with their last phones samsungs are fridges or microwaves

  • Moto x force/droid turbo2 and galaxy s7 edge. S7 sd820 is faster than xforce sd810 X force lcd is more sturdy

  • sd810 is notorious for heating thats why it failed Moreover this chipset throttles a lot . better buy nexus 5x with sd808 Battery life is just Ok with nexus 5X but there is no throttling while playing games

  • Note 5 , sd810 is crap

  • How hot ?....warm to the touch or hot enough to drop ?...playing a game that takes alot of ram ? or using a speed charger ?

  • Samsung is no doubt a good brand, however works best in first year. Would recommend Nexus 6 P. Amazing picture quality / clearity other then other features. Would recomment 128 B as apps and all installation and updates consumes a lot.

  • Nope. Nexus 6P is better because of software support. And stock android is always better than TouchWiz

  • Note 5 is better

  • Go for Asus Zenphone Max with 5000 mah battery

  • What should I buy ? a Nexus 6P or a note 5 ?

  • You overclocked the 810?! Geez, is it overheating?

  • I'm using Nexus 6Psince last few days I'm facing its overheating Other than that there is no issue Is there someone also facing the same issue Please help me to solve this problem

  • G5 has a poor battery life!

  • I've had it since Christmas, fantastic phone literally 0 complaints. Even when power using this thing it will still go all day. Charging speed is just unreal too, a 10 minute charge from 0% is enough to get me through school if I'm not on it all day. Also have mine rooted and the faster quad core is overclocked to 2.05ghz.

  • I Notice this with my Bluetooth headphones!

  • Can anyone help? Cant decide between the 6P or LG G5

  • Now Preview 3 is enough stable for daily use... I am ok with this...

  • Does android n have any bugs for Nexus 6p

  • 6p man. 6p. Do you really want that horrible touchwiz experience.

  • Stop sync in the settings.. choose what you want to sync n what not.

  • Hi, I have been using 6P for over a week now and it's a superb phone so far. One problem I am facing is that while I gave Google account it started syncing all my previous apps from S5 and in the process installed some default apps from S5 as it was from T-Mobile like Android OS and Android System. And they are taking away a good amount of juice from my battery. I wish I could submit a screenshot of it. Can someone pls explain how can I get rid of this?

  • This is really getting in my nerves on which of this phones i should buy, the slim galaxy a8 or the said badass nexus 6p? the galaxy a8 priced at 25k here in philippines while the nexus 6p is at 23k.. which is a best buy?

  • Same here, I compare between Nexus Sp and iphone 6plus.

  • Hey guys! I need to buy a phone, and im very interested in nexus 6p, i need a huge battery life, fast system and good camera. How is your nexus 6p doing? Is there any complaints? How long you have the phone?

  • Using Android N.. Developer Preview......its great..

  • 6p best

  • Go for Nexus 6P with stock android and regular updates. From 15days i have been using this device has no problem

  • Definitely nexus 6p. superb device

  • is it ok to give a update to nexus 6p.because when it starting it's ask aupdate.tell me someone about this.

  • best phone everrrrr....buy it...period

  • N6P of course

  • Which is best to buy lg g4, nexus 6p, galaxy s6 Tell me which is best

  • Which is best to buy lg g4, nexus 6p, galaxy s6 Tell me which is best

  • The problems you are telling was with the first stock.. now its been time, many batches are produced all the problems are resolved. No issues now.

  • But why there are so many complaints about Nexus 6P all over the net? From buggy software update till build quality issues... i like the screen, sound, camera & software but these complaints made me worry...

  • This is the best phone ever i love the updates and the camera basically i like everything about it

  • This is the best phone ever i love the updates and the camera basically i like everything about it

  • -Fast and Furious -Big Screen, Big Sound, Front Facing Speakers -Fast performance -Unlimited Google Photos storage. Buy it now!

  • Oops. Thought I saw 6P.

  • HTC*

  • No. Google contracts with different manufacturers to make the phone for them.

  • Whats the problem?

  • N, Google is still an independent American company. Nexus 6P is just the manufacturer for the Nexus 6P. Google does not manufacture the phones themselves. Nexus 5X is by LG, Nexus 6 is by Moto.

  • pls explain.....

  • seriously.. its way too annoying

  • So Google is owned by the Chinese now?

  • mic problem is huge one

  • I agree

  • How's the headphone sound quality of this phone's???

  • Apperture size in 6p is big enough. you get will clear images better than v10 and ofcourse night piks are cherry on cake.

  • No heating issues. But u might feel hot due to metal conduction as compared to plastics but thats for every phone made of metal.

  • Has it any heating issue? Please mention.

  • Microscope is the best camera

  • There is no camera can beat a microscope haha joke

  • If you want a rugged device with shatterproof screen and military grade rugged ballistic nylon body then go for Moto X Force. It can take beating unlike any other phone. It has a nice ergonomic design which provides good grip while holding if in one hand. As far as updates are considered Motorola devices are just second to Nexus. The additional Moto features like peek notifications, Moto Assist, Moto Action, Moto Voice and Moto Display prove to be quite nifty. However if you want a nice slim device which is beautifully built like a piece of art then go for Nexus 6P. Other than that on Nexus 6P you can beta test Android N and its camera sensor is slightly better. Since it is a Nexus device it receives faster updates. However do remember that Nexus 6P is delicately built hence isn't suitable for rough use.

  • Glass over camera seems to spontaneously break. Google will not fix it and Huawai will try to charge you to have it fixed. Nothing like making a few extra bucks off your mistakes. Always get a Nexus device, Burt only if it's made bby LG or Motorola. Huawai has awful customer service.

  • Exactly i'm looking for a great camera and an extarnal memory card slot. And i dont think so that snapdragon 808 & 810 has that much difference. But on the otherhand lg has more ram. So i think performance would be the same of both devices. But if u guys think there are other options besides lg v10 & 6p plz suggest me. Thank u

  • I want to know about difference between galaxy s6 vs nexus 6p which is better with full details Please

  • are you kidding here how can u say snapdragon 808 is equal to 810. guys lg is having 808. 6p is havin 810 lg cannot stand 6p.

  • Phone design is verynice n clean, very good metal finish. Fingertip scanner is the b best. Miles ahead of galaxy phones. Front facing speakers do a good job. Camera is good. Front camera is also good. Low light pictures are good as well. I have used other top brands but this is easier to use most of them. Best thing is fingertip b scanner at the back, just put the finger and i straight on home screen, no pressing of buttons or swiping finger on scanner like others. No overheating issues. Processor speed is very fast. Lots of RAM. 32 GB storage. Usb type c charging. Least line i am a happy user.

  • I don't know abt clash of clans but I play Nova 3 online and battery life is good for a day

  • If u want ruggedness then go for moto force but if u want beauty with strength and awsome speakers and crystal clear camera. And ofcourse fast life time updates then u shud buy beasty nexus 6p.

  • NoW I use Nexus 6p .it's awesome display clarity and sterio sound .

  • i am confuse between samsung note 4 and nexus 6p. please guide me

  • I have done a quick comparison and I would recommend the lg as it is overall better. The ram is better, camera is better but everything else is pretty much the same, other than the variety of colours

  • Hey guys, i'm planing on bying a new phone. but i'm confused between nexus 6p and LG v10. plz can anyone tell me which one should i get?

  • please share your experience about its sound quality

  • what about its sound quality?

  • Hello, Please guide me..i am confused between Nexus 6P and Moto x force??

  • Do this phone is awsome.

  • Go onto moto x force site this is 6p's forum

  • If you are facing such problem. Then clean the cache partition. Thats it.

  • The device does bend, but only when you try to bend it intentionally. You will never get to set your phone under such a pressure. As long as you use it normally, it's durable enough.

  • Try wiping cache partition!

  • Yes, the battery drains really fast...with in 20-30min of continues use(not gaming) the battery goes to 70%.

  • Play clash of clans and then tell the battery backup @ neeraj

  • Thanks very much!

  • I game on this phone for 1 hour almost everyday and still am able to go for a full day from 7 am to 10-11 PM where it's at 30-25% . battery life good enough

  • Battery life heavy use, gaming anyone pls...

  • I can put the link here, site rules. Search on ".de" sites.

  • yez it iz

  • Gaming/heavy use battery life anyone...?

  • it is!

  • Hasn't even been out for a year

  • I think for 2 3 year iPhone is best to buy

  • is this phone is better than all phone ?? plz give answr

  • 1 years use 6p battery is draining fast?? pls ans.

  • Note 4 3220 mAh: battery endurance test 90 hours Note 5 3000 mAh: battery endurance test 85 hours Samsung S6 Edge 2600 mAh: battery endurance test 73 hours Nexus 6P 3450 mAh: battery endurance test 74 hours It is not only about battery size, but optimisation too. Nexus battery life is bad despite the big size, which is a shame.

  • I recently heard about Android 6.0.1 ruining the phone's battery life. Is that true? If so, is there a fix? Thx in advance

  • I was confused about N6P and Moto X Style as well. Forget about the Note 4. Weak battery compared to screen size and resolution. Same thing with the Moto (Note 4: 3220mAh with 5.7" QHD AMOLED, Moto: 3000mAh with 5.7" QHD IPS-LCD). Mi 5: Well, seems to be a nice phone, but the UI is rather "meh". Also worst build quality ever. I decided to go for 64GB Nexus 6P Graphite. Nice Choice.

  • Well Moto X Force has an extremely durable ballistic nylon body which can never get scratched, cracked, chipped, or dinged. Its screen is shatter proof. It has Wireless Charging facility(Qi/PMA-enabled). It has a bigger 3760mAh battery, it's battery life is better than Nexus 6P. It has a microSD slot. Its screen has higher pixel density. It costs lesser than Nexus 6P. As an on field Mechanical Engineer I needed a ruggedised phone and Moto X Force serves me better than Nexus 6P. Nexus 6P isn't bad but it is made more like a piece of art which needs to be caressed delicately, but what I wanted was a rough and tough device which can take beatings like a champ but at the same time packs powerful hardware.

  • How's battery life on this phone? Especially in terms of heavy use and gaming?

  • Which is better for 2-3 year Nexus 6p, mi 5, x style, Samsung Galaxy note 4 Please give me your suggestions

  • I think you have some faulty price due to which you are facing these problems. I'm using this phone for the last 3 months and i don't have any single of these issues.

  • Try cleaning out your microphone hole. They can get gummed up with dead skin and grease

  • Nexus over Moto: @ thinner at only 7.3mm, not a brick like Moto at 9.2mm @ bigger screen and slightly better screen to body ratio. @ laser focus @ slow motion capture at 240fps @ better front camera with 8MP compared to 5MP on Moto. @ front stereo speakers @ USB type c standard @ finger print scanner @ sleek all aluminium build which looks pretty And last but not the least: @ instant software updates direct from Google the moment they are available Of course, the Moto has got *few* ups over the nexus but then most of the users simply don't care about them. So why are you misleading people dude?! And since when the nylon got more rugged?

  • Had nothing else to do...as easy as that...:P

  • You care! Why are you commenting here otherwise genuis?!?!

  • Who cares about this phone anymore, the 64GB Moto X Force is available at a lower price than this phone and is much ruggedly built than this device. The design of this device is all glam and no substance. Moto X Force may not be glitzy looking but its the most rugged device in the market and it's UI is almost same as Nexus 6P.

  • Cannot do anything without iTunes,iOS boring as hell,iPhone is on the way out .

  • Really? That's some good news! Could you give me the link?

  • yeah that was what i was saying.....google tries to do so much innovation in a phone that it becomes shit.....it has quantity but not quality.....iphone is much better and blackberry is dead....i wanna try windows....i have heard ppl give it more negative reviews than it really deserves .....battery life and camera are powerful in windows phone

  • Love everything about this phone on CyanogenMod 13.

  • People dissatisfied with the nexus can go for an iPhone but keep in mind the shortcomings of an iPhone: @ No True True caller support. @ No manual YouTube quality selection over a cellular network @ No call recording @ No other app support which require screen overlay for example AnyDo which is great for reminders. Ofcourse there are many other but those are the ones which affect me a lot as I use them daily.

  • please don't buy, one weeak 3time visited service sender

  • Very dull phone, very dissatisfied with this phone. its a real piece of shit. Microphone does not work properly, callers on the other end do not hear anything (apparently there is some noise cancellation mechanism which seems to be not tested at all !!! ) and there are multiple other reasons including problems with camera....but to begin with- if a phone does not work to communicate properly with others through a basic phone call what shit is this...............!!!!!!!! pure wastage of money/ effort... never ever buying a phone that google endorses....... :(

  • nexus stands for new extra expensive s**t....shud i start telling itz cons?? that wud take up the whole day .....no doubt itz a gud looking phone but wait... lets start with the camera....it force closes many times and the phone starts rebooting and the moment u want to take pic of is gone till it reboots.....after sometimes the problem goes away and i am relieved but it comes back again(frustating,lol)....battery life is the worst ...i have to avoid using phone often when there are no charging sockets around to save the battery......it heats up..... the screen really becomes yellowish after much use i give u 2-3 weeks till the process of yellowing starts... many apps force stop on itself....the customer care office is full of retards .... whats funny is that he giggled when i told him about camera problem ....lol .....idk why....now android is repelling me.. many of their phones have caused great problems for me ....so i think i will buy iphone next time

  • Today , my mobile got shutdown while calling . And when i switched on my phone ,Date was reset . And was not able to get battery reports in setting . It was showing only steady green Square instead of declining battery graph . What could be the problem .After a restart ,returned to normal . Is there any problem with my battery . How can i detect it.

  • It´s a matter of screen size, most of all (both work well a fluid). But it´s about your need!

  • None... Search for the Motorola X Force!

  • Go for Nexus 6P - the only with real software support. Price... search well, I already found the Nexus 6P 64Gb for 499€.

  • Poor battery life! Photos can be taken in HD, however camera will be slowed. Also, the phone feels awkward to hold in your hand. The side buttons arent very strategically placed as I keep pressing them accidentally

  • slow updates...

  • I wantto buy this phone but regarding all this kinda comments, its very hard to decide?? what should I do now

  • The Phone overall is not bad but the battery life is horrible to the extremes. I just regret for buying this phone. Sadly I sold my Note 5 to get this. If you want a productive phone please go for the note 5 from Samsung.

  • we want SD card slot and waterproof feature in the upcoming Nexus phone.

  • Go for Mattel ViewMaster. Expensive but excellent!

  • Cracking back camera glass? Is this still an issue? Was it ever?

  • Buy nokia 1100

  • Which one should i go for... Moto X Style, Sony Xperia Z5 or Nexus 6p? I'm living in Europe where the Nexus is pricey, is it worth 600€?

  • Nexus is a good choice in the long run though. Is a future proof device for a couple of years to come, not to mention custom ROM support from third party developers for the snapdragon chipset. Battery life is also decent.

  • Go for the note 5 I have used both but I find the note 5 being much more battery efficient. Nexus is not that good

  • Which is better? LG Nexus 5X or Huawei Nexus 6P? They almost have the same specifications. Which one do I buy? Anyone?

  • I am confused about the Nexus 6p or Galaxy note 5, I need the one have the best battery life

  • can use cdma and gsm sim in india

  • Yes. You can install without issue. It just "upgrades" the phone. It causes crashes of random apps, and will reboot itself occasionally. So definitely bugs. You can easily uninstall it but it requires a phone reset.

  • It's tough to know whether I hate this phone or Huawei support more. I had problems from the beginning with the phone giving an echo to the caller. I stupidly blamed T-Mobile for the first month because it seemed to be happening only on the way to/from work. Eventually I got a prepaid SIM and put it in the phone on the Sprint network. Same problem. I was then just outside of the window to return it to the retailer. I called Huawei tech support who did everything they could to get me to return it to the retailer. I called them about 10 times in one day because I couldn't get anyone who spoke clear English, or they would put me on hold and not come back, etc. Interestingly each person had a different take on the problem and what should be done. Eventually I got an RMA number and they were going to send me a label via email. Days pass...no email/label. I called back (several times - more issues with English) and eventually they said they'd send a label via email again. Another week...no label. Called again and magically this guy had ALL of my information just from the number I was calling from. Which is funny, because the 12 people I spoke with before needed every piece of personal information that I know just to find my ticket. Today, after struggling with the phone for 6 weeks, and struggling with tech support for 2 weeks, I finally got a label just to send the phone back. I know they will just open the phone, box up the phone, and send it right back to me unfixed. Enjoy everybody!

  • Is this phone perfect, because of in opinions, they said after some time using this phone,it's screen becomes yellowish...is it true?

  • oneplus =/= oppo

  • I bought the Moto X Style, but returned it because the performance wasn't great. The Snapdragon 808 on it struggle sometimes with the 1440p screen. I actually had to run the phone at 1080p resolution to speed it up and make it more snappy. The camera wasn't great as I thought either, it is not as sharp (despite higher megapixel) and dull in color compared to Nexus 6P photos. Motorola is known for superb signal and call quality, their noise cancellation is amazing. So if that is important to you, along with microSD card, then consider the Moto X Style. Otherwise I would go for the Nexus 6P. I had horrible memories using the OnePlus with ColorOS firmware, so I don't think I will be buying Oppo phones anytime soon.

  • Xperia firmwares are equally good and best of all other androids except Nexus. What do you not like about Xperia firmwares in particular?

  • Nexus 6P has the awesome stock android 6.0.1 and I really don't like xperia's firmware

  • Nexus 6P should be a perfect device if it contains OIS.

  • i been using the nexus 6p for 3 months now, i don't have problem for heating issue, just as hot as my previous galaxy note 2 lte version.

  • superb phone ... good performance!!!

  • Agree.. best phone out there in market .. budget phone

  • The s4 was a joke! Laggy as hell and no propwr custom ROM support for the exynos version. The camera was excellent though!

  • Well at least this is not a Samsung shit... It over heats, but this is better than galaxy 3,4,5,6 and even 7...
