When someone sends you a text, at the very top, there will be a rectangle with a happy face in it. Drag that down, and you will be able to open the text by clicking on it. Or on your home page, click on the green messaging rectangle with the happy face on it.

I just got my friends, and the text messaging and calendar software seem to be corrupt ... how can i download them again from another source? I hear the alerts for text messaging for example, that a text is coming in, but there isn't anywhere to find the texts. They are not in the notifications menu as expected ... and there is no SM card either ... so? For example, I cannot access any kind of options for Messaging, or anything ... there's just nothing there. I can send texts, but i cannot receive them. My settings are correct ... data enable is on ... but i keep getting the alerts ... but sadly, no texts appear ....

If you wish to de-block, 1.wait for the phone's screen to go off. 2. Then press the touch next to the home key. I hope it helps, coz I have been using mine without touch for the past 1 year as well. And I am still enjoying it.

The Huawei U8350 Boulder huh... well it does perform about as good as a rock would. This thing is SLOW. OS, touch screen, keyboard, browser... all slow. The one thing this phone is actually okay for is making calls. I have yet to have an issue with that. Perhaps my feelings toward this phone are a bit skewed seeing as how I have had the opportunity to use and tinker with newer, better phones, but I just can't get past the lack of responsiveness on this thing. Now, don't get me wrong... Huawei makes some pretty nice phones, I just think this one falls short. Unless you are new to the world of celluar devices and you have no previous experience to compare to, this phone is not for you.

yeah men cause its processor is only 528Mhz, yes and some of its apps are always FORCING CLOSE, and also some apps are not supported, very old because its only android 2.2.2 froyo, i have already this in my GLOBE POSTPAID, and yet its not upgradable, look at the RAM memory, its only 256 MB, that's why its LOG, like in ADRENALINE MODE, dislike this S**T!!!!

I Have had this phone for nearly a year now. so far, i have been satisfied with its performance. The only snag is its very short battery life. you darn near have to charge the phone every 4 hrs if you make lots of call. Recently, the phone has been speaking(No. Am not out of my mind) it reads everything from text messages to web addresses I go online and announces the menu when u make a choice. Such a great phone. 2days and the battery is still 60% ;) How it made possible? Don't install apps such as juice defender, adv. task killer and turn the wifi off when not in use. I love this phone and 5x better than a BB. Trust me on this, I've had 2 BB's and sold them both. :-)

I experienced lagging while using the hardware keyboard. I had installed tons of applications so I can't really say which one is the culprit. So, I did a master reset and it worked flawlessly since. no lag in typing. smooth interface/speed and good battery life. so for those having issues, maybe you should choose wisely what applications you install from the Market. Loving it right now. :)

well if you really want BBM then i would suggest the blackberry but if not i would go with the Hauwei. I had the same exact decision to make so I talked to some of my friends who have the curve 9300 and they were'nt thrilled. Also they said it was pretty much the crappiest blackberry out there. The hauwei is powered by android which is great. I personally am choosing the Hauwei cuz the price is great and later on i am gonna get an iphone, not BB. Hope this helped :)

Got this phone from Globe Philippines. Nice phone everything is cool except for the android, it keeps popping up application from time to time even if your wi-fi is connected or not. May this is the reason why the battery drains so fast and last for 1 day only, it keeps running unwanted apps. I see the reason why nokia didnt jump to android, apps are annoying with no dedicated close command.

I already bought this phone last week... The battery last for 1 day 18hours using Juice Defender. Warning!! This phone is NOT for GAMING because it's processor is too slow with game.. The camera is average but i think Samsung Corby ii's camera is much better(2mp).. The screen: you need to apply the screen protector coz it is too sensitive.. Touch-screen response is responsive... I own many phone including Xperia x10, atrix, HD2 and oddly enough i also happen to have a u8350 just because it was cheap and it has a key pad (easy to text without looking and which non of my phone did). obviously it is in no comparison to the other smartphone but with the price and the cheap spec its surprisingly smooth for light usage like text, facebook, email, calendar and phone calls. For me one thing that bothers me the most is it lags when i type but the UI is tweaked and is surprisingly smooth (with all effects turned off). on last things is its got good battery life with JUST wifi on (not data) without wifi i can last 1.5 to 2 days (3days max)so get it if you gonna use it lightly especially if you use it for text and call only its fine!!!

Good phone. I have underestimated its capabilities and features and so far, this phone is really good unit to have. Some comments: (1) Battery, need to be practical in using the phone's apps and features so as not to quickly drain the battery. Had to charge every night. Also, no available spare battery in the market (HB5I1) (2) Glass display is scratch prone. Need to put protective film immediately at first use. Do not use scotch tape to clean the screen's glass as the surface coating seem to peel off. (3) Ampersand symbol missing. Could not be used/hard to find from available apps. Wish there is a way to type this in. I understand the Ampersand symbol is a special hot symbol in Android programming.

i've been using the fone for 2 weeks now. got it @ globe tipidplan 500. so far so good. nice touch on the qwerty keys. it accomodates my pudgy fingers. relatively better keys imo than bb. i've been downloading apps and i don't have problems with it. crisp voice on the calls. zero drop rate. nice touchscreen, very sensitive. :-) i just don't like the battery life. i have to charge it at 9pm. it's drained by the. i'm a moderate user. can the os be upgraded? if yes, how? tia

depends on your needs... if you're into texting this fone is better, but if you're into gaming, galaxy y has an edge because of its wider screen and faster processor plus it's on gingerbread. about the display, boulder is way better, denser ppi.

In my opinion, this phone has been EXCELLENT. I have zero trouble with signal, and the calls don't drop unless I actually leave the coverage area. The screen is clear, the color is very good, and the touch is just as sensitive as the iPhone. It's packed with features and, if you ask me, it rivals the best Blackberry devices that would cost you 3x the price.

poor reception I have a 50% call fail rate when i'm at home its right on the edge. I surveyed my house over three floors with an LG rumor (plain jane) from Bell and the 8350 carried side by side. The LG never showed less than two bars even in the basement, while the Huawei tetered between no signal strength showing but sometimes calls would complete (50%) to no network status even on the main floor. I had to go to my bedroom window on top floor to see two bars and have it work reliably. Too bad otherwise good features and function (for someone with limited exposure to android)

I was the first to comment asking if USB tethering is possible. Since then i've purchased one. Just bought it, yes USB tethering is possible and so is portable hotspot. It seems kinda fast scrolling through homescreens and the menu. The default browser is laggy as hell but Opera seems to works perfect on it with smooth scrolling and pinch-to-zoom. Very satisfied with it but the screen resolution of 320x240 will put off many because the text seems pixelated. It seems to have very cheap feature phone kinda screen with very bad angles. Then again it's very cheap so still no regrets. I only wished the speaker was louder because volume seems to be inconsistent and also the vibration is very weak. I've missed alot of calls and also SMS because of the weak speaker and vibration. Overall i'll give it a 7 over 10 for it's price but compared to my Nexus S(which is extremely unfair), it's like 2 over 10. I'll choose this anyday over, say, Galaxy Mini because it has hardware QWERTY keys but almost the same spec.

its released here in the phil. as cloudfone temptation and its network carrier is globe. hmmm whats with globe not putting the manufacturers name in the box and in to the phone itself...
