Its not bad overall but the only thing that no phone has is The sound when we plug headphones is awsome it dosent feels at all that the sound is coming from headphones It feels like the sound is coming from every direction We can feel evry bit of sound. It is because of Dolby Digiital Plus.

I bought a 32 GB expandable memory card yesterday from my nearest mobile shop retailer. When I inserted it into my second hand( which I bought from a nearby mobile shop) lenovo a1000 it's showing "you can now safely remove it". May I know why is it showing that as it's mentioned in the features that it supports upto32 GB expandable memory. perform a hard reset, after you deleted everything on you tab go to settings, about phone -- system update you will have to download 3 updates and after that you internal storage will increase to 1.5 GB, then you will be able to install the apps on your SD card

I have been using it since a good time and am very happy and satisfied with it unless sometimes very rarely it gets stuck but once I leave the battery to discharge completely and restart it .... It is just as before. When it was functioning good as the battery was going down I shut it down and put for charging after I restarted it it is not recognizing the memory card 8gb SD card it is readable in other mobiles and this is reading other cards except for the one using. one of the worst tablets in the market..the display quality is pathetic.. it feels like bleached..with no true colours...this dissapointed me very much...then its memory card flap torn off aftr 1 month and im sure its not my fault...i handled it with great care...the screen guard they are giving with it scratches easily with our fingers..audio quality is somewhat good....ah...forgot to mention...it has the worst VGA camera i have ever seen...it cant be called as a camera...bcos it shows only dark shadows...this tab is a. total fraud..

I've got the "insufficient memory" message too. So here's what I've done. I just factory reset my tab and cleared all data. And now i have more free space, just like a brand new condition. But off course i got all my data cleared. So if you do as i did, make sure you back up your important files first. And then just install very necessary apps only. I'm not sure but sorry four my bad English lol

I have used Lenovo Idea Tab A1000 for about a year now. I admire this product. Specifically the battery life. I can watch about 2-3 movies if the battery is fully charged. But nowadays the tablet is starting to show some weird signs. when i connect it to a PC, I have to press the "turn on" button twice. Got it as a really good deal when getting a phone, too. So it was worth getting it for $50. The memory/storage is not enough at 8Gb. Takes forever to load from Play Store. GPS is OK but needs a very clear access to the sky, just like old (real) GPSes. Maybe its a bad antenna. Very cumbersome "move to SD card" app is available on Play Store that may help storage. But as yet, SD storage is pretty much untapped.

It does support sim although only in 2G mode. Yes can be use for voice call and sms. But i think you should check the type that you own. If i'm not mistaken, A1000G and A1000F.

After purchase, realized what a mistake it had been. The Huntkey charger is the low point. After a year, the tab had a damaged charging port which the service centre people said wasn't covered in warranty, and fixing it would cost half the price of the tablet! Pooh pooh. The tablet won't charge via usb at low battery. The storage parameters are deceptive. Bad purchase. The product has a very short life. My Lenovo a1000 is dead, and here is its obituary. No more Lenovo products for me.

I like this TAB for number of reasons. I bought it as gift to my 80 year old Mom who never had any previous hand on experience on any PC, Laptop or smart phone. 1. I have updated it with latest update available. Out of internal 4GB, earlier it was available only 460MB. After update, I got more than 1.4Gb. 2. It has SIM slot, so my Mom got a mobile connection also. 3. For limited use of my Mom, mainly for reading books on it, TAB is a value for its money. Just Rs 5K for a new one. 4. Even my Mom started liking it and finished reading quite a books on it.

The Lenovo 1000 Idea Tab is one of the cheapest available 7" er's in the market with a decent specifications of 1.2Mhz Dual Core Processor, 1Gb ram, 2G Calling (For asia only) and a front facing camera with .3mp decent for video calling during the day or if your surrounded with lights. This tablet is perfect of those who have a shoe-string budget but need a good spec tablet that offers some decent speed and can do what you'd expect do with a tablet making calls, checking emails, watching movies listening to music and playing some low graphic games. This device comes with a stereo speakers which is the best part though the speakers lack some base it good, its a shame that you cannot access the equalizers without connecting the 3.5mm jack to the device, the output of the audio is really great when your watching movies most tablets come with mono-loudspeakers and they are tucked at the back which makes it difficult to enjoy music, movies and watching trailers on youtube. While I should warn you if you love listening to rock music your probably want to reduce to volume on this device -1 from the maximum volume the device has flat base output hence high bit rate music which has heavy percussion tent to crackle when the volume is turned to maximum, the best must to listen on this device on maximum volume is, Hip-Hop, Pop, Ambient Trance and dubstep while the bass on these kind of music is so minimialist that, when the volume is turned to maximum you do not hear the any distortion in the music. A nice design by the engineers in Lenovo, kudos guys, they've been able to pack stereo speakers and pretty good battery of 3500mAh that provides a more than decent battery life of 8hrs with heavy usage and roughly about 24hrs with light/medium usage. While very heavy users would have to look for applications like Battery saver some might as well have a charger for those really busy heavy calling and usage days. On the contrary what we have noticed on the device is in-spite of downloading a few good battery saver applications once the battery is drained below 50% they battery tends to loose all its juice with continuous usage which is quite strange. Also the device on the 2G model comes only with 4Gb internal space and 1gb is allotted of this 4Gb for applications which is quite bad, you tend to run out of application storage area pretty soon, so be wise with the kind of applications really need from those which are fancy. Though the device offers external storage area the software doesn't let you download application and be stored on the SD Card which is big shame for a device like this, but we can't point fingers at Lenovo its something that google has to work on, like many low budget Android devices in the market today, which offer only limited internal space and doesn't let the user to store applications on the SD card this device as well fails pretty bad on the the internal storage space allotted for their party applications which is another let down for this device. The device comes with 2G calling and Wifi which makes it a much better device when compared to other 5" or 6" devices in the same price range while I must warn you the device isn't the best when a few applications are loaded we noticed a lot of lag in certain functions. The proximity sensor works pretty fine but what we hated the most of the device is that after a few hour of using we noticed a lag in the orientation of the device its easy to use in portrait mode but if you choose to work in the landscape mode, you tend to see a delay in it changing to landscape mode with passing time it fails to change to Landscape mode when your turn the tablet 9/10 times we use it in portrait mode rather than the landscape because the orientation wouldn't work for us. The second big flaw of this device is the screen with 1024x624 pixel the device has some decent viewing angle but after a point you notice that when the device is turned extreme right the device fails to provide good viewing angles which is reminiscent of the price you get it for in the market $113.44 or 7250INR on ebay India. But for the price point with so many other similar devices that fail to come close to the Lenovo A1000 with either specs or connectivity and RAM capacity. Gamers: This device isn't the most efficient devices in the market when it comes to gamming we did see a noticeable lag for games with high graphics and frame rates this device is the best of playing simple 2D graphics and some nfs based games anything beyond we recommend you to consider buying either the 10" idea pad or other brands such as Samsung, Alcatel (Good options have a look.) Micromax p650 etc..., Conclusion: This device is good for those who love watching movies, listening to music and playing some basic games and web browsing and making calls, its aptly priced doesn't promise much but you expecting to wonder and do things like what the iPad does your truly gonna fall in the pit. But for those who want a decent phablet that can make calls, do some basic browsing and are most of the time travelling and for those who enjoying watching a good movies and listening to their favourite songs without having to carry another stand-alone device the Idea Tab1000 is good. But, be prepared to be patient as for those who love watching movies you may have tough time with having the screen to switch to landscape mode automatically when turned don't loose hope, download the orientation application from the play store to enjoy your movies in landscape.

Pros: - dual core CPU + GPU - play some 3D games smoothly (i'm not gamer anyway, just test), for Angry Birds lover that's easy play - play 1080HD movie smoothly (I tested Pacific Rim MP4 1080HD) - Jelly Bean - good call & sms (with SIM card attach) - clear music from good speakers n also when u use external speaker (via 3.5mm stereo jack cable) - (it is now) 2,2 GB free storage Cons: - camera useless - heavy for my 10yrs old child - no-3G, only 2G supported, but mine is enough for use Lines & WhatsUpp chat and some mediocre apps installations from Play Store (or use APK installation for big apps) - very standard package on the box (only unit & charger) I bought here RP1,200,000 (below USD100), this is a Great Value for money!

Only negative point was sound quality through handfree not good in comparison to ipod as i was expecting better because of dolby, but from embedded speakers you will get better sound than any tablet in market.

I just bought one Lenovo Ideatab A1000G. it has a sim slot and with a sim in that I could use it for callinon VOIP. But I found I never Could successfullopen any sight so far. being an old man and not having much knowledge I couldn't do the proper setting. I am working at sea., but in mobile range of Vodafone Egypt range . Could you tell me how could I do the proper setting of this TAB for net browsing. As for setting I have selected the service provider manually or some time automatically. What else are the things to be done for proper setting.

Guys it does not support 3g. Battery really good. Sound excellent. Brightness too high so if u download brightness control app from playstore you cant reduce below 30 % and the back cover seems little bit cheap but in this price lenovo is providing a really good perfomance tab so dont feel hasitate to buy it...

Hi, friend i hv a lg optimus l7 but i feel so many lag while playing big game so i bought this tab on last month and i feel really happy with the price n the perfromance and in heavy game compare with my bro tab2 p3100 it feel likes its faster but little bit disapointed is its brightness are too high.

Brightness are too high just compare to my bro tab 2 p3100.. There are lots of aplication available in play store but you cant reduce the brightness so its not a good sign for the eyes..

I bought it on 26 sept 13 for 8400/- it has voice calling facility, 2G sim can be inserted for calling & net surfing. Gsmareana information is wrong about it.

The thing about Lenovo A1000 3G is that you'll get a good quality for the price that's even cheaper than you expected. When I bought one unit from merimobiles.com I thought that the price is a bit pricey compared to past version of Lenovo but when I actually roadtest this tablet,it actually is worth every penny. Plus when you said 3G then it is 3G.'Nuff said. ;)

I played for a moment with the LG L5 II which also has a MKT CPU and the performance was good. It scored 6200 in Antutu, but the resolution of that smartphone is smaller than this tablet. i purchased a Lenovo smart phone in April, 2013. Within 2 months of the purchase the mobile phone developed defect and well within the warranty period of 1 year. The mobile phone was deposited at Delhi service centre(just one in whole of Delhi NCR working strictly as per govt timings 10 to 5, mon to sat) for repair on June but now it is almost THREE months but they have not rectified the defect. The mobile is still lying with them and they are not informing anything about the status nor even responding to mails and it is very difficult to reach them on phone(their customer care line for mobiles cost Rs 2 per min(for other products it is toll free) something that has never been seen till date) and they are neither providing any time frame for return of the handset. Mails written even to MD were not even responded, a satisfactory reply is a distant thought

i don't really think it can be connected with a 3g dongle am trying to do that for like 3 days now but i faced a lot of issues... 1: ES file explorer won't let u open the #Root explorer.... 2: there are certain files in /system/bin that have to be there in order t complete the process but,they don't even exist.... 3:the #Terminal Emulator will almost respond #ERROR to every command u give......

for me it's a great buy, but first you have to read and understand the specs of this tablet so you can decide if you will use it according to the way it was designed. if you want great audio quality then this is for you, but if you plan to use it in taking snap shots then better get the A210xx model. . . but if you ask me, it's worth it considering the price and the specs it brings to the table which is what i need that is why i am content with it. cheers!

I have had this tablet for about 2 days now, I have loaded some useful apps and so far I have not experienced any hang ups or freezing of the unit. I get what I paid for and im quite satisfied with it, the battery life is just awesome. I've had the wifi turned on since 6am today and it's already 828pm here and still i have lots of battery power left, browsing is fast and i didn't mind it not having any camera since i mainly want to use it for browsing if i want to get great pictures i'll bring my dslr with me. Great work Lenovo!!!

am using it for over 2 weeks now. overall satisfaction, i'd give it 4 stars. won't give a 5 stars coz it has no back camera, so can only take my own pics. sound's superb coz of the dolby stereo. speed is also reasonably good. u don't have to wait forever for the machine to load. my only regret is it didnt provide stereo earphone or handsfree kit coz the tab has call function. overall, for the price... i would recommend it to anyone looking for a tab with all-round features but a little tight in budget.

This is my second week with this tablet so far my experience with it is awesome. Great battery life. This is my 2nd day and 5 hours since I last unplugged from the charger. I saw so many bad remarks from users about this tablet and I wonder what makes them unhappy about this excellent product. With in the budget price of aed 499 you will not get any other branded tablet with this specification like 1.2ghz dual core processor and 1gb ram. There is no lag even I open 10 apps same time. I recommend all to buy this tablet if they wants a good tablet at a reasonable price.

Dear All... Please make a note that, there are 2 different tabs, 1. Lenovo ideatab A1000 2. Lenovo A1000 Do not get confused between them. Lenovo ideatab A1000 was released in January 2013 and it does NOT support sim card and voice calling. Where as Lenovo A1000 was released in August 2013 and it DOES support sim card and voice calling.

I can play all type of HD movies without lag 3) no heat while using.I tried gaming for 3 hours and still its very cool 4) speed is super fast 5) I am able to connect pendrive which is fat32. I guess NTFS is not supported. U need to buy a otg cable to connect pendrives n it costs 120 rs 5) speakers are amazing. I just got this tablet a few days ago. I'm surprised of this tablet's performance, for its price range. The 1GB RAM helps a lot for multitasking, far better than Acer B71 which has same chipset and but half the RAM amount (though faster DDR3) The screen has decent visibility, though becomes unreadable from one side. Many people complain about the internal memory. I guess they haven't figured out Android has built in feature to move apps to SD (NAND in this case). It won't work on all apps, but hey, will you ever have service-type (whatsapp, etc) or widget apps exceeding 300MB? If you expect to have more than that, I'm telling you, you picked a wrong price-performance range!

I think this is the best tablet of the market , because it has calling facility with data, cpu MTK dual core (more power full than canvas 2 A110 & galaxy tab 2 7) with powerVr GPU (the same gpu of canvas HD A116 ) so it can run any HD game without lagging, 3500 mh battery , with 1 GB ram, most important is price only Rs. 8999 (India)
