Hello simin, to change lenguage the only way is change for complete your windows mobile, it means you will have to flash your ks20, I copy this link again, sorry about that, the rom posted there is in english and works so good I am using it right now, the only one bug is when you have your battery charged 100% it will says your battery is too low but its just a message you can dismiss. Avoid this phone like the plague. I bought mine a couple of years ago and it has been totally unreliable. When closing IE program window and other windows it does not close the actual program so you have to keep going into memory>running programs and using the task manager to close them. Then it likes to turn itself off for no reason at all and reboot itself. It freezes a lot of the time, often it refuses to connect to either my wifi network or my mobile network's internet connection. Tyr to make a voice call using skype and the whole phone will freeze...in fact it has even frozen when I am just trying to answer an ordinary incoming call from another mobile (with no applications running to slow it down). Screen will not align properly - basically a pile of rubbish.

i miss this phone so much! been a great phone for the past year. went through so much with it. the keyboard is small but i got adjusted to it and i typed alot faster after a week. overall great phone in my opinion. very laggy, but still a great phone. very organized and this is the phone that made me like windows mobile!the battery life seemed great for me and ontop of that, it is very customizable!

I think people are complaing a bit too much about this phone. The worst thing about it, is that the screen scratches too easily. That can be fixed with a screen protector. Battery life was bad, but became better when I replaced the battery. Now I get 2-3 days with quite heavy use. Ok, it gets hot with 3G use but I'm not sure it's harmful to the phone. I have had no problems with it. It hangs on occasion when I use certain apps. A hard reset of the phone would prolly fix it. I've also modified it (new keyboards, task manager, dialer, hardware ok button etc). So I never have to use the pen. All in all I'm satisfied with the phone.

Yea! u can use skype on this phone... but you have to find the skype 3.0 for Windows mobile from another site or source coz the skype stopped the project, skype on windows phones...so you can't download it from skype site.. but you can still download it from another site and enjoy as I do !! good luck !

I love my ks20! Been the best phone I had and still love it. Its small and light but you get used to it. It is a great little phone even though the speakers suck.I would recommend this phone for a person who's new to windows mobile just like how I was new when I bought this phone. Seriously its. Great phone and I think you will be happy with it.

existing theme not really nice. you might want to try out nicely theme "SPB Mobile Shell v3.5.3" furthermore also install "SPB Keyboard v4.0" too optimized for finger input. After a year untouch my ks20 in the box,now i can get it out and alive just likes i just bought fresh from the market. I did an upgrade to wm6.5 and the sliding up and down instead using the slider on the side.

Personally i find the handwriting recognition quite useless day to day. I use pcm keyboard. the handwriting thing was only fun for the first week. Actually I'm quite discouraged from texting with this phone

Help me please. This phone turn off when-ever I hooked up to the computer or wall charging. I can't even load anything from the pc because it will turn off. I think it had a problem with the battery so I ordered one and still the same. The battery sign always showed half charged. I did not have the PDF program installed on my phone. I downloaded the adove reader cab file from the internet en installed. try that. be sure to use the CAB file it's much easier.

have used this phone for more than 18 months now. upgraded to winmo 6.5 using a freely available rom. this phone has EVERYTHING except gps. if you are willing to over look this feature, the phone will not disappoint you. the music player is a bit screechy with a loudspeaker but it works gr8 with a handsfree. its a good solid winmo imo and it looks good too. ppl WILL stare at it :)the screen is a little hard but u get used to it and does interfere in any way. if u ask me install some good winmo apps and i guarantee u ll be very happy with how it runs...i had to replace the motherboard once within warantee.. got it replaced free of cost. i have very rough handling and have dropped in a couple of times but the build quality is quite good and i escaped with minor scratches on the phone. now after 18 months of usage, the mic needs replacing .. apparently the caller hears a buzzing sound during the call.. like a bee stuck inside the phone. once that is replaced the phone will be good as new. bottom line. use the innumerable winmo apps and customise the ks20 to love it

I kinda solved by disabling the phone. Then at least on 3rd part browser manages to connect through wifi. Internet Explorer still doesnt. Also Opera mini 4 doesn't seem to want to install with wifi. The progress just stops after a while. Doesn't this version of Opera work with this phone? The latest Opera mobile 9.7 didn't work at all. The phone's mini kb is hidden p� the browser, and it also crashes after a while. Any other browser that is as good as Opera? Also I managed to make an empty conenction profile to use for internet, which seems to work even when the phone is on. How good is Wefi? Has anyone tried it?

well, owned this toy for a few months & not regretting it. i personally thinks this phone is a good entry lvl for winmo. if u want something that plays gud mp3 or take photo, get a mp3 player or digital cam. :') or if u want a faster device, scrape ur pocket for touch hd or omnia at least. tho, i bet the crashes of software is still possible. i've installed spb shell 3, sktools, advanced config, tcpmp, skyfire, thumcal, vito sms-chat, resco explorer & nitrogen on a stock rom. works like a charm for me. with occasional hard reset (if needed) or soft reset. my 2cents, know ur toys well. it helps. (as for me, i'm still looking ways to optimise this baby) by the way all the above downloading & installing not used by any pc help. yes, direct download to this baby. *cheers*

Anyone experiencing this? Whenever I play an mp3, whether music or a podcast, randomly the phone's dialer program will start up and it will auto-dial the most recent entry. Doesn't matter what program I use to play the mp3, the phone will auto-dial. Very annoying.

i can only help you out with a few questions sorry - yes mp3s can be used as ringtone. - the quality of the audio is fine by itself.it's not a specified as music so my N70 ME was way better to blast tunes. one crappy feature of the headset is it's really lousy for calling. you have to take it off when an incoming call while you're listening to music. hope that helps

well i had this ks20 for roughly 2 months and i've come to appriciate a lot while tinkering and playing with it and finding out different functions. My problems with this are the battery life. If your a consistent user of the phone carry your charger the battery life goes fast. Also I was trying to play videos on it and wasn't successful. I know the different formats the window media uses,but still unsuccessful. If anyone can assist me with this problem on how to play the right format for it, please send some pointers. Over all its a nice phone.

Hi everyone. I'm seventeen years old and as far, believe it or not, I haven't had any mobiles yet. Now I've decided to buy one with touchscreen but I don't know which one would suit me. I'm thinking over this and a latter one, the LG KP500 Cookie. The KS20 has "Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.0 Professional" but I really don't have a clue what it means and how I'd use it. I'm going to travel 30 hours so I need a phone that is able to entertain a teenager. Which one do you think I'd purchase? Oh, and I'm not gonna buy any other phones for about a million years so it really should not go outta fashion for a while.... And my last question's that both mobiles have Word, Excel, and PowerPoint but can I use them as I use them in a computer? I mean, for example can I write essays and formulations? Or is only this one able for that?

I am using KS20 for last 3 months. Its seems too good WM to me. Yes, its true that sometime its hang, but if you open lots of programs and dont close it in proper way than it even happen in normal PC, forget about the WM. I heard i lost of issues like bluetooth, sounds, camera, hang etc. just to let you know i havent found any problem like this in last three months. About the sound quality? its good enough as a phone. Camera is one issue at night mode, but at day light its also good enough, some time better than lots of other phone. about price? you cant compare it with any other WM in the world. at last if you want to have a WM with full satisfaction with a reasonable price thn go for it. its smart, handy and at last but not least one of the best WM I have ever use.

Hi, It's the black end of the stylus that broke off. it is still attached to the chroome pen, it's 2-3 mm of the round tip (black end) that broke. I have seen other stylus in stores but not the original, so they don't fit. p.s: I live in Suriname, that's South America... i orderd my phone online from the USA. We don't have a LG retail store here. If you happen to come accros a website that sells the original, I would like to hear from you.

Need a lot of heat to melt your stylus tip and the charging input is not creating any heat. which one is broken,the black one or the chromed one? if the black one,try insert the stylus than rotate the the stylus to the left or right just like tighten a bolt than try to pull it out, maybe it help. Don't use sharp tip so replace the stylus. For temporary use, you can use other stylus. I use SE P990 stylus (not the original part) for my daily use, cost me less than US $3 or Rp 25.000. Have you try to go to LG retail store to flash your set to an English version and replace your stylus?

I did try something; i copied the dictionary program file and placed it in the start-up folder in the windows folder. the program did show up in the starmenu, but when i open it, the dictionaries are not available. A : don't copy the file, but create a shortcut.if you copy the file than the program thinks the other file is in the same directory that your file placed. To create a shortcut, you can do this via file explorer, choose you're file that you want to create a shortcut than tap the screen 2 sec choose "copy", change the directory to windows\start menu then tap the screen 2 sec, choose "paste shortcut". Hi, read quite a bit about this problem after posting my last question (about the language) and get that it's not that easy. But, if I could find a CD with the enlisch version, is it possible to uninstall the current version (german) en simply instal the new Enlish version? are is it more complex? Because i got a CD in the package. I'm guessing the operating system is on it as wel (but just in german). so I would just have to find someone with an Enlish version.

Okay..what ever type your cell, it depends on spec and program it self to load. It depends how many RAM available for you to use, the processor speed, and the complexity of the program it self. All program need time to load their application before running. If you use many application at the same time and than it take many RAM resource than your set will become lag and there's a delay, it's similar like on PC. If you specific ask me, is this set is good and responsive enough? than my answer is yes, scale 7 of 10. regards ian

I've bought this device 2 weeks ago and I feel good enough, except with my experience of the software. The active sync does not work properly even after I seek the problem solver form the windows mobile site. The problem was solved until re-installed the software to the LG service center and of course I loss my internal data, such as contact, sms, and email message. The second problem was the device with no reasonable reason goes to blank out after in the sleep mode. To solved the problem, I must removed the battery and place it again to the device, I faced this problem twice, before and after re-installed the software. Does anyone face the same problem with me and how to solved this problem? Thx, Rudo

I try the phone. overall is a good phone but extremely bad battery life. This is because i had used to to connect to fring using wifi. LG usually doesn't make 3.5 audio jack on their set.. they use their own connector model.so no 2.5 or 3.5 audio jack on their handset, but they attach 3.5 audio jack on their handsfree for KS20 so you can change the ear piece.

I don't know...Wifi, bigger screen, WM6, better organiser (I think so..), touch screen, and the PDA-feeling... Maybe these are the main differences between the 2 phones. If the operation speed nearly same, I will be satisfied. You can install 3rd party softwares, so you can solve the QWERTY keyboard problem. I'll see...:)

In order to use finger you have to install other 3rd party softwares. The easiest way, is to install themes + 3rd party keyboard and there's many free apps n free themes on internet that you can install on your phone. The other way is to install many 3rd party software such as wishbar(buy),rosco(buy),flash (free),themes(buy n free),etc.. or The HARDEST way is to upgrade to WMP 6.1 with touchflo. hope that's answer your question.

I just bought the phone. After I saw all the comments, I came to some conclusion. My phone dont hang, the battery works fine & yes its kinda slow,you want to know why? Coz I compare it with my 4 GB RAM, AMD64 X2 5000 PC. Its just a phone guys, not a super computer. Get with it, you want to have super computer try USD 1500 stuff not USD 300 stuff. It Hangs alot coz you put alot of programs inside it, ad of course the more you run program the more the processor works the faster its going to dry you battery out. Regularly stop the program running from your memory settings, it'll keep your device performance.

LG stands way behind in its built quality, the same is revealed here too. I had this phone for almost 4 months. If you say that its worthy for your money you invest, please wait, have a quick review, this phone has only 128mb ram, when running some 3rd party programs like opera, call firewall, the phone really starts working like win xp in and old pc with 256mb ram. Try keep away from LG high end phones but it has some very good medium sector entry phones like 195, 220, 199 etc with a very matured phone os, but the overall physical built quality of these too are way below average

I suggest try to do a hard reset on your device. Shut off your phone first, then hold down the green call key, volume down on the left side of the phone and then power on the device while holding the earlier 2 buttons until you see something on the screen.

bloody fantastic machine. very light and solid with perfect finish and great design. even audio quality is great when used with a decent set of earphones. however the stock rom is a complete trash, becomes unusable after 2 minutes of usage. just bought it.. let see.. this phone has a great featured in it. but 1st impression is: slim i like the black solid body responsive touch screen after try and error the menu it was great but the stylus is damn hard to pull the speaker is not something that u can proud of..it really have no power at all.even my old S45 can be louder than that.when u max the volume,than u get a breakable sound.hope they upgrade on their speaker hardware. camera is good,but the bluetooth connection is hard to use..still can't figure it out how to connect my lg with my comp bluetooth.it keeps fail identify "searching services". and sadly,it seems that it can not customize the sms using mp3 ring tone,only default ring in it. but overall,it's a decent phone with the great future on it's price. btw i was succeded to install wisbar advance and wisbar advance desktop, wish i can intall full iphone themes in it in a weeks.

LGKS20 provides a descent performance compared to any other windows phone.Dude am assuring u that you wont get any other WM for this price with outstanding performance with manageable disadvantages.

I can now give my comments on the phone after using it for about a month. The phone is slim, stylish, and its 2 MP AF camera takes good pictures in good light. However, the phone is slow at times and have an extremely poor quality speaker. Its battery life is also quite poor. It is also very difficult to manage contacts as it doesn't seem to offer option to copy contacts from the sim card to the phone.

After having and using the phones for like 2 weeks, I can now give my opinions on the phone. Let's begin with the pros of the phone. The phone is stylish and sexy, has a large 2.8" touch screen, its 2 MP AF camera produces great pictures and have everything you need like wifi & 3G/HSDPA connectivity. However, I'm very dissapointed with the phone's sound quality, ringtones and music are heavily distorted. Also, the material of the phone is easily scratched. The build-in touch keyboard is also very small and this make messaging very difficult.

This phone is worth with the price but unfortunately the battery is weak. If the 3G is ON then the battery will just last 18hours... it's just to bad. how can a phone with that kind of feature can be support with that kind of battery?

How can I exit from an application??? I dont find exit option in any application and it doesn't exit by pressing [X] button, as it keep running in background...every time I have to go to start->settings->system->memory->running programs then only I be able to close applications. sound quaily is so far 8 out of 10 . i think casing makes less pressure out of it but compare to iphone and ku990 and others. it is very competitive sound. i think it is depend on what kind of files you put it in but so far i like it a lot.

Hello jackie. Yes indeed I have the problem of not being able to use GPRS as well. I can only use wi-fi. But i'm not complaining. Because the use of GPRS takes up extra money. But sometimes it is a bit sad they have added something in the phone that can only be accessed after taking it back to the shop. If you have problems with GPRS, I am not able to help, my apologies. But the thing about not being able to remove the battery is strange. Why is it that after you remove the battery the GPRS do not work? Best of luck to you.

after reading the opnion here, i found out mostly don't really make sense. Some compare it with symbian phone and htc touch. I dont think its wise to make such comparison. this is window base and it has wifi and 3G. I have use it for 1 month plus, never Hang!! everything is good especially camera n surfing is gr8. Only draw back is that after a long chat on the phone(bout 30 minutes) u can felt the phone abit hot on the back. Thanks

I don't think it's the problem with the sim card but rather with your phone. Mine had the same problem with yours, meaning my phone kept on restarting so i sent it for repairs & they said it was a problem with the hardware. ((:

Hi, I had some problems. I bought KS20 in Asia and it works perfectly fine there. But when I use it in Canada with Rogers sim card, this phone will restart itself automatically quite often. Sagar, remember that GSM uses SIM cards and CDMA doesn't. So I don't think that this handset carries both. The specifications didn't state also...this is a good handset though. I would buy it.

I have t-mobile as my service provider. I have called t-mobile and they went through the steps with me to set this phone up so it would receive picture messages. i bought this phone last august as i find it stylish.. ^^ i just saw it @ the mall then i kinda love what it looks like..i don't even know the features of it.. well i like it. whhat i don't like it is that i can't change the language from english to japanese/korean/chinese. i called up the hotline in my country to ask how i can change the language but then the tech support doesn't know anything!!they said the mobilephone i got its only capable for english. they told that if i wanted to install a chinese language everything will change & the only language i will have is chinese no more english... soo disappointed really!!!i should've check the language settings before i bought it.. grrrr..

I got this phone a week ago and have been fiddling with it ever since. All I can say is that this phone is really good. Of course, there is always room for improvement, but for the relative price among other smart phones, it beats out the others. I would recommend getting an alternative browser to IE Mobile such as SkyFire. Using my home WiFi (23000 down/6000 up), the browsing speeds are extremely quick and as an added bonus, SkyFire is compatible with most if not all Flash applications (such as video streaming) on your phone. The battery life is also rediculous considering the size and weight. This is most likely due to the fact that the phone actually goes into a "turn off standby" when not in use, shutting down the LCD and Godknowswhat. Indeed, the phone IS a fingerprint magnet, but hey, aren't all good looking phones like that these days. The 2.0 mp camera is outstanding for its class. Compared with many other 2 mp's the ks20 really outshines the rest in terms of latency and quality. Some minor cons that I would like to address are the fact that the touchscreen is indeed a TFT touchscreen, meaning its plastic and utilizes a dot-matrix style pressure sensor on the surface on the screen. In English: the display is plastic, not glass as I would recommend (meaning its more likely to get scratched). I find this feature to be important on a touchscreen as its constantly being touched (no way!). There are some proprietary issues that have been complained about, but I find the adapters provided are more than enough. Finally, yes, the sound quality is slightly sharp, but otherwise, this phone is definitely worth every penny. And considering your definitely not going to pay more than the $320 that I did, it's a great deal indeed. Cheers.

To all LG KS20 future buyers.... I have now tested and tried out various PDA phones. I really liked LG KS20, because it is SO stylish (can't beat it), and the specs are very good! (DivX player, wifi, etc). But sadly, I'm going to have to recommend HTC Touch Cruise over KS20 (ofcourse there are other phones but compared in the similar catagories). Hardware specs are almost identical, but for some reason, Touch Cruise operates so much quicker and smoother. LG KS20 is a BUG magnet. It malfunctions very often. Although you can get used to it, once trying bug free PDA phones, I realised I was trapped in a nut shell.... Big Thumbs up for HTC Cruise. (Iphone would be my next recommendation if ur into web browsing and don't mind being controled by APPLEs limitations + $$$, I personally don't like being limited by manufacturers)

its very easy ^^ Press the Start menu and choose 'Settings' than you choose the 'Connection' tab and there you have 'USB to PC' , 'connections', 'bluetooth' and what were been searching 'Wi-Fi'. You may use the 'wireless menager' to to turn it on fast, like blutooth and phone as well :3. the found conections of some routers will be on your tray bar on "i" antena shaped icon :3. Have fun with the pocket PC like i do X3 it rocks my socks!

I won the phone and yes it plays youtube :3 but it works difrent than on IE on PC. It downloads movie and converts it to MP4 or MPG format... than plays it in its mediaplayer.

For a Hard Reset - Clears out and completely resets LG KS20 - Press & hold send (Call) + volume down buttons and at the same time press the power button (right side of phone) and hold for about 10 seconds. This returns the phone to factory settings.

i purchased this phone about 2 weeks ago for about 320 dollars, with an additional $23 for an 8gb memory. the phone is freaking awsome, but nothing comparing to the iphone. i still can't figure out how to get the GPRS to work, but if there is a wireless router around and you are able to get on the internet, Google Maps works just fine. the camera feature are amazing, bot front and back with zoom in - out and editing. you can also find many free applications for the phone for free. to be honest, i wouldn't spend over 350 for this phone, im looking forward until the Sony Xperia, and the Prada 2 come out. the HTC touch pro aren't bad but a bit pricy.

Its true that LG cant provide a battery life compareble to SE but still I dont think this phone has got a bad battery life. It has got a 256k screen and not 65k as mentioned here, so its logical that it will drain more battery than a HTC touch or similar phones which are using a 65k screen. It also have a 400 mhzs processor and many other features. Considering all this and its slimness, I dont think it would be fair to expect much from the battery.

Bought this phone back in May and my opinion is that i'm never getting a windows mobile again! First week of having the phone my battery always says 100% when i don't know how much i have actually drained. Just the other day my wifi settings have dissappeared so i now i have absolutely no wifi! Only thing this phone is good for is paper wait in the office!!

bought this phone a month ago and am already having battery problem 2 weeks after I bought it. went to LG retailer at KLCC & they asked me to go to Zitron service centre at Berjaya Times Square. the stupid service centre never picks up their phone and the business hours are Mon-Fri 9am-4pm.. how lousy can this service get? Eugene, thanks for your reply... i've tried to end all running programs from the ram, but it still doesnt cool down after couple of minutes. I ended up switching off and on the phone to resolve the problem. Also when the phone heats up the battery drain off pretty fast too.

Christina, This is becoz the CPU chip is working, it turns hot when opening website or anything relayed to accessing internet. Try to close app. at the ram setting section.

i ve noticed the heat too, it's probably due to the wifi/gsm/bluetooth all being integrated into one chip... it's not a problem though, i have it for almost a year now and nothing came up (except for the battery, which was replaced by the service)

Currently not available in Australia. If you buy from HK you will not get support from LG Aust or the Optus Network - The phone works on Talk & SMS but not MMS and Data downloads as it has International Factory settings. Don't expect the seller in HK to respond for warranty etc. Worth the wait for a possible December 2008 release in Aus.

About battery, believe me I�ve only once powered through adaptor since last two months otherwise 1 hrs USB connect, once in three days is sufficient. One big drawback I see is you can not use Docking station as the connector is proprietary and side fitted. There are couple of USB cradles available but they need manual insertion of cable . The camera is good but not as excellent as SE K750i. The phone speed and response are amazing. I really appreciate KG�s efforts towards making LG KS20. I was a user of P990;P1i & G900 of sony ericsson but now i'm using Ks20.. crash in KS20?? i dont think so, its a windows mobile 6.0 Pro..this unit made my dream come true.. Regarding battery/power consumption, all pda phones encountered same problem but the viewty of KS20 as indicated in the user's manual, you dont have to drain to recharge... Enjoy

You need to set up first your internet explorer.. with regards to the battery?? to minimize consumption you'll have to adjust the brightness including internal background light,any cellphones will always encounter on the power storage but this will depend on the attitude of using your cellphone..However,KS20 as indicated in the user's manual, you don't have to drain to recharge it..check out the battery power indicator if its below 50% then you can charge it right away...your KS20 Angel

I've had the KS20 for about couple months now, and the battery life is alright. the p527 is not a 3g phone mind you. do you really want to buy a 2g phone? people are already moving on to 3.5g which is also supported by the ks20. i think its best to avoid non-3g phones from now on even if there is no 3g at your place. (from 2010 even under-developed countries will be 3g.. hopefully!)

LG Canada does not sell nor support this phone, please return to your point of purchase for assistance as we and your service provider are not able to assist you. Regards David Herbert LG Canada " My request was for a link to the English or French version of the LG users manual. Clearly there isn't any in other than Korean or Chinese. Indeed the reply to my message was in barely comprehensible English (and presumably his French is no better). However, the phone is being sold in reputable stores, in Canada, the US, Europe etc. It is astonishing that LG denies any reponsibility for support in the English or French-speaking world when indeed the phone runs on an English Windows MObile 6 Operating system. So far my phone seems to be OK, but I am learning by trail and error. It is extraordinary that LG is selling in the West, but only providing Chinese or Korean operating instructions.

I bought the phone from an authorized dealer in Canada. I went back to the office thinking I would simply log on to get the owner's manual, since there was none in the box. What frustration. There is no owner's manual!! and it takes several hours on the screen, going through washing machine, TVs etc to discover that there is none. To list some of the most irritating problems: 1) Exceptionally bad battery life, need recharging twice or three times daily for minimal usage, even with the wifi and bluetooth off. 2) System Hangs up regularly. 3) Skype does not function properly, unable to talk. 4) Wifi signal strength very poor 5) GPRS disconnects too often 6) Screen scratches easily and requires constant cleaning 7) screen a bit too small to use with finger 8) Oh yes and as far as it being a babe magnet; sorry its a no go! u can try to get the apn(access point) from your respective operator (optus). then click on start-setting-connection-add a new modem connection-put in a name for the connnection e.g optus-cellular line (gprs,3g,hsdpa)-finish.

i bought this phone last week and i must say it is better than i expected. i had 3 years ago a wm phone, a qtek 2020i, the worst phone ever, bought if for 800 euros and sell it for 500 after 1 month. since then i had n70 and n95, very good phones, especially the n95. i put on my company microsoft exchange and i need a wm phone to syncronise also task (not possible with symbian phones even with road sync) pros: - very light, compact design - good speaking qty - decent baterry life (considering its big scren, hspda and so on) - bluetooth is a suprise. both n95 and n70 were working with bmw bluetooth carkit, but without accesing the agenda. on the ks20 is working and i can make phone calls from the car without looking in the agenda cons: - ie not working too good, blocking, had to change it to opera - bluetootk is somethimes disconectig when working with my carkit, incoming calls not hearing always. i guess is a imcompatibility. my car has from factory motorola bluetooth - display hard to use, the iphone has a much better display. concluding, i am satisfied with this phone. for my need is the best since i do not EVER want to hear about qtek, hts or simlar shitty phones. if you want to use it also for emailing is great. if you want to take pictures, listening to the music or else, take a n95. however, i am waiting for the experia. :)

this is a windows mobile, so if you get a chinese OS you're "stuck" with it (as in it's not as easy as changing the setting). not sure how you can get the english one, maybe google can help? i got mine a month ago. and so far, i'm lovin it. no complaints at all... a couple of sites for software dls: www.freewareppc.com www.pocketpcfreeware.com www.freewarepocketpc.net you can search for more, just make sure the keywords are something along the lines of "pocket pc" or "windows mobile" applications/games/software. and include the word FREE of course if you're cheap like me.

The reason why it get to hang is because you are running too much applications at one time. You have close all your applications but it was still running in your memory. Very easy, what you need to do is go to menu and to setting. Go in memory and stop all your running programs. By this, it will not make your phone hang all the times.

Slow interface. When listening to an mp3 and I get an incoming call, it locks up for a while after I finish the call. If watching a film and I take an incoming call, it locks up completely and I have to remove the battery to reset it. Random crashes and lockups happen too. Metatrader 4 software and Skype chat don't connect by 3G, only by wireless. Voice Skype is impossible due to audio cutting out. Buy something else. Anything but this pile of poo KS20.

To everybody who's looking for actual users' reviews. I've been using the phone for three weeks by now. I've not noticed it to be slow at all. It's not the mightiest among WM devices but it bears out its specifications. I've got no trouble with phone/message/mail service and Office applications. The poor thing is Office functionality but it has no concern with the device. The media player is functioning well without lags or something, though I must admit that I almost don't watch video and can't judge its speed. Speaking about the interface usability, I'd say, for me, it's quite friendly and easy to operate. VITO and PocketCM keyboards, SPB Software make touch navigation easier. Generally, it's a cute, smart, pretty fast device for those who don't expect it to be a server in their pocket. I'm utterly satisfied with it :)

Even with no program installed, its response of the touch panel is slow. I have to click on it for 0.5 sec for the click to responce. But of course, if I click on it for over a sec, then it becomes the "right click" which opens up another menu. So it is kind of hard to control.

Yes, the phone response is kind of slow, it is actually slower than O2 Atom. But remember when O2 Atom first came out, it was worse. After several firmware upgrade, the problem was fixed. I am hoping for the same for the KS20.

Have to say that the FM radio reception is compatible with Nokia phones which is much better than the HTC Cruise and O2 Atom.

for the person below me, to change it to english, you press on the four dots button :: then after that, a wheel button (means settings.) In that category, there will be a nother wheel button, press on there. and you will see Language ( Aa icon) press on there to change the system's language.

I bought this phone a week ago. It design is superb (like prada)compared to other PDA Phone. However I notice that KS-20 is really slow compared to my old O2-exec. And the phone is lack of basic features and program like "Voice dialing", "Worldmate" and "MS reader". (They were bundled with my old phone.) And it turned to hang oftenly when received the phone while playing Windows Media player or Excel mobile. Today I will have it replaced for this problem. At last, although this phone created many problems and slow responses, I, still, love this KS-20 for its stylish design and size that fits in my palm. If you want to buy it for heavy use, it will not fit your plan. But if you need the well-designed phone with Pocket PC function, it will be your answer.

The announced specification is outstanding but many of our reviews (I'm from Russia) have proved that, firstly, 128MB RAM is stolen by some processes and only 30 MB are left for work, secondly, the astounding 400 MHz Qualcomm processor is downgraded to 288 Mhz at most... Now doubt whether to buy or not :(

I was really excited about this phone. I tried it in the shop and decided not to buy it for two reasons. First, it is painfully slow; slower than my 02 mini which is three years old. Second, it's definitely gonna lose its looks fast because the finish is too polished. It'll scuff very easily and look old in a month. No thanks. Great shame.

This i quoted from phonearena reviews, if any one knows about this , please advice : he/she said: This phone has big display bugs : many GAPI applications do not work, and most DirectDraw ones do not work either. Moreover, this PPC has no hardware support for the video decoding acceleration provided by the MSM7200 chipset used since LG did not mind putting the QTV driver in the ROM (while HTC has, with great result in CorePlayer). There is also a microphone problem (it become mute) when switching between 2G and 3G. All they have to say about it is "disable 3G and it will be fine" ! Lastly, LG's customer support is worst than anything. After more than 3 months of customer complaints, they are still pretending there are no problems at all and do not seem to plan a ROM update to correct theses huge problems (they haven't announce anything at least). Do not buy this LG if you plan to use it. Its sole good point is its look, but I would prefer being able to use it in good conditions... Thanks.

steven, prada is a "normal" mobile phone, viewty's main selling point is the 5mp camera and ks20 is a pda phone with wm6. they are different so you need to consider what exactly is your requirement.

Even though I would love to have this phone, I think everybody in U.K. should boycot it as LG tinks that U.K is not in the same league as other europian and asian countries. so far only StarHub have pre-launched this phone ... i asked the stuff and she told me that this phone will only be launched in Singapore on 30th March ... hy! my LG battery has a 3 or 4 days life time with normal use and it has a 1050 mAh battery! compared with other phones this one has a great stand by time! dont know how LG did it but they are pros! :) compared with n95 for example that had a maximum of 2 days life time with minimum use... at normal use: 24 hours...! take care!

I couldn't find the booth from Singtel... Also I didn't spend more time but just using finger to touch and play with options... I like it for the start as wording is big enough for me as i am already 48 year old and I do have problem seeing wording that is small like the E51 that I bought. I am still thinking about it... may be upgrade with M1 as I have one line with M1 will be ready for upgrade few months'time. I think you should like it. Good Luck.

sound qulity average (for example)compared with the n95! the phone is loud... i can hear it on the busy streets... dont know about others but i can hear it and for a pocket PC the sound it's( my opinion) ok! i can't compare it with the n95's sound quality because n95 has stereo speakears and that phone is very loud! and for the sms mp3 ringtone! it can be done!:) choose a mp3 file that you whant to assign for your sms event! copy the file in to your windows folder! now press start->settings->Sounds & Notification and select the Event dropdown list and look for 'Messaging: New Message', then choose the mp3 file! that's it! peace

hy! first of all i like the design! for now it's the coolest PCC on the market! the screen it's ok... like all the qvga display's! i like that the phone is very light, performance ok... camera very good and impressing! stand by time about 4 days! it's my first LG phone... and i'm very impressed! wifi good! i had a lot of PCC and symbian phones including the n95, n82, n73...etc but this one cought my attention! i recomend it to all! :) have a nice day!

I like the viewty a bit more cause, it has almost everything the ks20 has and a 5mp camera( i have the viewty btw). It has a document reader, that is very easy to use, u just cant edit the text like the ks20, ok it has no wifi and thats it. The DIVX is outstanding, playing with DVD quality- if not better, the res is better on the viewty,and sceen size as well, and its 262k not 65k like the ks20. It has several apps that u would find on smart phones such as muvee studio and smartlight. Apart from wifi the viewty wins hands down :)

I wrote to LG UK few days ao asking about the release date in UK and if I bought one from Germany could I change the language from German to English. The answer came back as "Thank you for your email, We regret to inform you that at present we have no information in regards to the release date of the KS20 in the UK. To Cyberchick, You cannot switch languages like that with Windows Mobile, its not like Windows for your PC. You have to have the English version of Windows Mobile in order for it to be in English. Its a completely different software package.

I've had this phone for over 2 months now manage to get it through a friend who works for Vodaphone. It's a great overall phone batterlife is not too bad gets recharged every 4-5 days but I am not a heavy user by any streach of the imagination. wireless facility works well, IE browser allos you to browse mobile internet. a few annoying things, can not text without using the stylus and as expected casing is very prone to fingerprints/scratches. One major problem since I've had the phone people have complained of really bad interference on the line. I can hear them clearly but apparently I am almost inaudible. Buzzing sound comes up when taking video too so am thinking may be a hardware problem with the onboard mic. Have been using a bluetooth headset to get around this but as you can imagine gets a bit annoying. anyhow apart from this all the other features work pretty good. Having said this will probably sell it on ebay and try and get hold of the Samsung non-armani phone (nned to have wifi).

For the past 3 months i waited for the new LG KS20 (announced in September 2007) to arrive. It seems an excellent phone, but this is getting a bit annoying. Even though everywhere i look it says "coming soon", i don't see this phone coming. Do you have plans to release this phone? Are there problems and you cannot release it? All other companies (HTC) have introduced and launched their new products (HTH Dual Touch) but LG hasn't. We can wait for ever for this phone!!!

the phone is really great tons of appl, but you know its WM6 and also great battery life for such a phone if you not use a lot of wifi. it stays on for 3-4 days with 20-30min of talk time and what a design for pocket pc.. i love it

i think this phone is overrated...well when i first saw this phone..i was like wow..nice phone and imma be the first one to get it..but NO QWERTY board...and qwerty board is a must for word doc. and etc for faster work to be done...design is very awesome with 9.1 but my hype for this phone went dramatically down..so instead of waiting for this phone..i bought the HTC TYNTN II which is an awesome device...if you want touchscreen(2.8) and a qwerty board that slides out with the screen tilting up 45 degrees to watch movies and a OS of MICROSOFT MOBILE 6.0...then i must say get HTC TYTN II(ATT TILT) or if you dont mind not having a touchscreen...NOKIA N95(which i previously owned) Nokia n95 is better with pictures and video quality but HTC TYTN II surpass N95 with everything else...

I am way due for a phone upgrade. I currently have a Motorola A780 which I'm still in love with (I think Motorola never meant to pack this phone up with features as no other phone in their current line up seems to come close to it). Honestly, if my phone had all the features of the N95 but with the same hardware styling and dual dial pad (outside and via the touch pad) then I'll never leave motorola. Anyway, why do they keep messing with my emotions? First is was the I-mate Ultimate (which by the way never hit the production line), then the HTC touch (which I think is a great phone), then the N95 8GB which is an AWESOME phone and now this... the LG KS20? Of all the phones, the Nokia N95 8GB was closest to my heart; but the lack of a touch screen kept pushing me away. The LG KS20 on the other hand has two features that may convince me to really dump the N95 8GB... a touch screen and peep this... a document editor. Yes! you can edit office documents like word, excel etc. I'm not a big camera fan so the 2mpx is sufficient and I can definitely leave without the HSCD and infra red function. So, this may be it guys... LG KS20!

I saw it and touched it (no OS though) recently during Digital Technology Expo (Athens, GR). LG Rep's there told me it will sell for about E600 in GR. God, most beautiful gadget I 've ever seen. Makes iPhone (which I also played with) look like its bigger, older (slimmer though) brother. Black is beautiful indeed. Problem is there's no GPS, but I wouldn't mind, even with a 400 MHz processor (specs not clear yet). Only mention of it on expansys.com but without a price. I personally hope it hits the market in Xmass, otherwise I'll go for either i-mate ultimate 9502 or the e-ten X800. I now have the Qtek S200

i think that this phone would be better if the OS is windows CE 6 and have alonger lasting battery. windows ce 6 is more advance OS than windows mobile 6. since windows mobile 6 uses windows CE5 as a base. if you compare the interface on the HTC touch and this phone you will see why.

People are so spoiled these days, why does it matter if you only have a 2 MP camera on a phone? If you want a higher MP camera either get the higher end phones or get a digital camera. With a lower MP, the phone drops in price, its that simple. Deal with it, you have to take the good with the bad, thats with all phones. Other than that, this phone, ifs cheap enough could be my next phone.

this is the 4th phone i own now thank to my daddy it is really nice3.2 meg pix camera good photo shoots dont like the symbian op system it is really hard for me to use with my computer hense why i use the prada it makes me look good and every one else silly with their pathetic phones i have class and style when it comes to phones dont go for second best cuase u will always loose the qwerty is a good choice but it depends on what u use a phone for i guess bye bye

i was sooo shock to see this from coming from lg, i will definetely gif it a try however this is the first window os from lg, so i dun think it will be stable yet, but im absolutely excited abt it, and who cares abt mp camera? do u really think u will take more photos/vidoes than making calls on handphone???

everyone is going touchscreen. cool. personally, 2MP is fine with me as long as the camera captures good pictures (e.g. SE W900i, Samsung D600), but people are so engrossed with phone cams with higher resolution capabilities. so i'm guessing this phone would sell more if it's at least 3MP.

it Seems LG is keen on following the "Prada" design. It is nice, but I'm not a fan of the stylus, or the Cameras MP. On the upside there is a nav button.

only 2mp,,, go buy a proper camera for proper pics, but 2mp is still great for quick snaps etc! rather have a great phone, good features, 3G, touchscrean, large screan than a 5mp camera
