I know that it has been about 2 years since the release of this phone, hence, the reviews and question around here, however, I searched the whole internet for an answer to my question but couldn't find one, hope you can help me, the problem I'm suffering since I bought the phone is when somebody calls me, the caller's name is not fully displayed, is there any way to fix this problems, sometimes when someone with the same name calls I don't know which one is (e.g. Smith John & Smith Jack) Kindly help, thanks for your effort.

this phone is not good to buy , there is not so good battry back up . touch screen is not sensetive as other phones have. specially SMS problem is there , about after 130 messages , it cannt send more messages. Camera quality is so poor..... processing is so slow...... Totally useless phone of LG..

I've bought it for a year ago i changed the touch pad once its really sucks and piece of crap can't send sms after certain number on total sms saved in the phone(inbox drafts send , etc .....) so i'm avoiding this by always delete my SMS or reset factory :'(

I have this phone for 1year. It's goof for easy calls by 2sims but I have changed and repaired its screen 3times!!!! It's really weak. all other things are good I think. but I have to change it now. I missed my Sonyericsson w700 :(

I have this mobile phone more than a year. When I brought after 3 month problem is started. Hanging always then service center uploaded new version of software. In 6 months got another problem for SMS. its hanging again, not sending immediately. Now I have problem for the touch screen. It is not working properly. Need to change touch pad as said LG service center.

I have to agree with all these negative comments on this phone (after using it for over a year), I wish I had read some reviews before buying this phone. It was overpriced and is a piece of crap. Touch screen never works properly, battery life is less than a day just for the phone to be on, let alone talking on it. Responsiveness is very slow and makes me want to smash the phone every time I have to access the menus or contacts. The only thing it has going for it is the dual SIM, but the lack of WiFi and 3G means the phone might have been useful 5 years ago, but it belongs in a museum of technological disasters now. I would never in my wildest dreams consider buying another LG phone again after owning this one. I'm glad I now have a Samsung; I can set this KS660 on fire and put it out of its sorry existence.

Less than one year after i bought KS660, suddenly it started developing soft pad problem which i later took it to LG office for repair, but to my surprise it only work for 2 month.Now the present condition of the phone is now worse than before. The phone is not good, the screen & soft pad cannot be found in the market.

This is the worst phone ever to exist in this planet, it is a shame to other LG products. Poor picture quality as if it is 2megapixels. The Touch pad is problematic, sometimes it refuses to respond. software is poor when it comes to storage of messages, sent messages are sometimes stored in inbox, as if they were sent to you, Confusion of numbers is also common. LG should do an honest thing to compensate all the victims of this phone, and remove this phone from the market immediately. I ll never ever buy any LG product.

I've experienced the same frustration with this phone as everyone else here with firmware version "e". Corrupted memory seems to be the problem which on my phone has affected SMS, alarm clock memory, bookmarks, stored settings etc. I believe part of this problem is due to faulty ground reference with the charger or USB cable because all problems coincided with the use of the device when plugged in to the charger (I duplicated this after reflashing firmware - the connector is not very robust the weight of the connector is enough to give enough movement to disturb the connections which results in corruption if data is being written to memory). The fix is to reflash firmware - latest is "h" (Russian/English/Korean only) but I am using "g" which seems very stable and seems to have more languages. Touchscreen sensitivity is not the best in general but is definitely variable from unit to unit.The original touchscreen drove me mad, and then failed after 10 months. I bought another one off ebay for $11 and it was definitely more responsive. You just have to be "definite" as you press the surface! If you are used to capacitive, it will still frustrate... It's straightforward to replace apart from "glueing" into place without making a mess on the LCD :-S When it works, it is a good phone, but just lacks HSPA to complete the package. I like the UI - messaging is better than Symbian3 or S60. The Predictive option with qwerty is VERY fast to use.

I have been using this phone since November 2009. When I started using the phone, It was given me all kinds of problem. But after making three trips to the LG service centre, it started working fine. Now I enjoy the phone more than anything. it is actually one of the coolest phone around, especially with the dual active sims. if you are having problem with it going off intermittently, just clean the battery pins, that was what I did with mine and since then it has never gone off.

Can't agree with you more, mine is now showing exact symptoms. I have used Phillips Xenium, Samsung D880 ( not user friendly)and was hoping that i can rely on the LG to deliver something better. Call clarity is good, but touch screen sensitivity is driving me up the wall. SMS feature has a brain of it's own. I will find so much satisfaction throwing it against the wall. A word of advice, you should only trust mainstream manufacturer's, maybe Motorola has the answer.

I bought the LG KS660 about a year ago and it's my biggest regret. The camera gives you blurred pictures, the battery life is very poor.....last a day and a half and the touch screen is driving me mad. I usually turn it off and remove the battery then reboot when it starts to act up but I have to do it like three times before I can get the screen going again. The only plus for this phone is the dual sim, but if you can't get to make a call when you are ready to, what good is it? I am very, very disappointed with this phone and I won't recommend it to anyone. Waste of money, time and it's going to stress you out tremendously.

I totally agree with you. I think that I may have hypertension because of mine. It's driving me totally nuts and I am about to smash it. I think when you pay so much money for a phone it should at least last you more than two years. I am very disappointed with it.

great phone, you need patience to learn to uyse it. it is veesatile, very responsive, and has very good connections, botrh sim cards work on incoming, but you have to switch primary lines and reboot to use other sim catd. i have t-mobile web2go very workable and att. phopne is a dream once you get used to it. shes is like a lady and tempermental, but works like a real machine, when you learn how to use it. quality phone with multi-languiage ability,,,russian and it's surrounding countries, chine, three dilects, and koren. i've seen no other phone on the market to compare. worth ever bit of $125, i bought from hassellfreecell in new york via amazon.com, music is great. i have a 4gb chip with over 300 songs, the quality is akin to my ipod touch 4generation!! need more be said. i will be able to sell these phones in mexico for 300.00 each and make a nice profit. thank you lg for a really nice phone which folks aren't patiente enought to learn to operate...ha ha

my advice,don't even think to buy this mobile. the touch screen is nonsense and it will drive you crazy when you will try to touch the name 5 or 6 times to call it.document reader is crippling and you will not be able to read anything. 5 MP camera acts worst than a real 2 MP camera, for all this I decided not to consider LG again

this is one of the worst phone I have ever used. 1.5 MP camera works worst than nokia 2 MP camera,I always get blurred image. 2.Sms jumbles by itself. 3.call list is not accessible, 4.resently sms incoming and outgoing is blocked, 5.till now each and every part of my mobile is replaced and there is no chance of replacement of this mbile set. 6.sms can be stored in microsoft excel mode which cant be restored in this cell again. 7.touch screen is rubbish, 8.functions are much less as compared to nokia and samsung. 9.services of LG are not good means they will entertain the complains but permanent solution will not be given. 10.with in 6 months my mobile is formetted for 6 times,and each time my important sms are lost,no list is lost. 11.many of a time I recieves each sms for 10-15 times daily. 12.sound is so so 13.only good thing is dual sim......but whats the use of paying 10,000 rs instead of 2-3k. overall this mobile and company is pathetic plz for god sake dont buy this phone.

I have a lg phone it has good music quality you could use a usb cord and download free music off your computer on your media center on your phone all you have to do is put the usb in the computer and plug in to your phone and click sync and you are all set and you can take pictures and put it on facebook without the computer.

Dont buy this phone. I bought this and then realised what a blunder I did. Shoul've read the reviews before purchasing. Good things are the 5MP camera, sun light readable screen and dual sim, other than that everything else is useless. The operation, usage and touch screen are absolutely annoying and not at all user friendly. Bought this for around Rs.11k and now I cant even throw it away, :((. If dual sim is the only thing you need, then better go for lower cost basic dual sim phones for Rs.3k. The camera is good, but thats a feature we use once a while. The features that we use every time are so irritating to use.

The touch screen is bad The battery life is the worst, it stands only for 1 day without making any calls, also the battery life sign on the screen is not accurate, it got 3 levels for the battery, when the first level goes down (which logically means that the battery charge is 60~70% ) the phone goes suddenly into �Low battery� warning then it will not last more than 15min !!!!!!!!! Camera (5Mpix) is not that good, just a large picture without that clear picture Took about 5 hours to full charge battery Slow response with contacts Phone hangs, got bugs in software; mine was version10b then I upgrade the version to 10i and still the all problems are the same)  Overall , from my experience with this phone , it does not worth, go and buy 2 mobile phones and wait until Nokia or Sony provide some Dual sim card phones

This mobile is not of any use because it uses internal memory to store emails, and as it has very less internal memory so mobile won't check mail after the memory gets full. The camera has no noise filter there are lots of grains while shooting in low light. when used to connect internet with laptop/desktop it only connect with the primary sim not with the secondary sim and hangs lot when swapping sim card.

I'm very surprised of your comments. I am from Romania, and I've bought this phone from a romanian online shop four months ago. Except de issue of the battery icon, everything is fine so far. I have no problem with this phone. The touch is working good, the battery lasts 2 days, photos are great outdoor on daytime, but not indoor or in the night. What shoul I believe? Am I the lucky one, or you are the unlucky fellows???

Slow response still persists and once in a while it hungs. I never suggest LG Phones to anyone in my lifetime. They are not worth it.

i stay in thane so the address of the thane service center is besides makhmali talao,there is dog clinic besides it.. the phone is a real crap by LG.. i was gievn 3 circuit changes but still the same thing. finally i asked for a refund and the manager there processed my refund request and i am still waiting for the cheque.they told me they will call when the cheque arrives. its been more than a month now..

Used my KS660 for about 3months before I had to replace it due to software issues. I couldn't read, delete og send any SMS..really anoying! -and got no help from LG at all (Never buying a phone online from Asia again) The touch-screen sensitivity is bad. Have to push hard, and on the exact spot to use the touchscreen. The camera is OK, but I think that is all that's good on this phone. A real piece of S***!!

Upon taking pics, it gives quality worst that a 2Mp camera(mobile) and to start with messaging it's too jumbled up, plus the touch screen is way too pathetic. I have this phone, and I love it. It has a very good camera, call quality is decent and also the touch screen is very responsive. So far I've had no freezing with this phone. Also music syncing is made easy. I wouldn't trade this phone for anything.

I bought the handset about 2months ago and something i've noticed is that occasionally when i switch it on the keypad doesn't come on it instead hangs at the logo and so i'm forced to remove the battery and start the process all over again. Anyone experiencing the same problem?

acer dx900 or(gloflish dx900) is the best equiped dual sim phone in the world.only it has 2 problems: it uses windows mobile(very instable OS) and the other thing is the battery will last you from morning till night if you use the phone moderatly.if you are a hard user (wich u should be if you buy a dual sim) the battery will last you about 6 hours

yes i had the same issue.. i went to the LG service center and they were amused to see the issue. they replaced the circuit with a new one.. and now i dont have any messaging issues. the fone is sluggish and consumes battery soon

The main problem is, that the Phone wasn't sold in the western part of europe exept for some ebay dealers. They sold the item and just disappeared again. So I have not contact to him anymore. LG dosn't repair the Phone because of the reason mentioned. Fact is, LG should be concerned about a working Handy and not about guarantee competence.

Hello there I baught this Phone 2 weeeks ago and the first major crash happend just after a few hours of use. After a soft reset the phone did not boot. It means, the LG Logo rotates, disapears and comes again and disapears and again and.... So I surched for a HardReset Command, a Bootloader Command, anything that resurect my Handy, just a tiny help! my ks600 reached its message storage limit and attempts at deleting some always failed such that i was forced 2 delete all messages and even at that am having difficulties in sending text thru either of the sims as the messages are held in outbox for a while then the phone announces that sending failed and when it eventually sends message it sends a wrong one. what cld be wrong?

My phone used to reboot. I found out that it happens when you overwrite any file in mass storage mode (Guss its because Audio/Video file locations are cached). One way to fix this is to delete the old file and copy the new one. Not so difficult, at least my phone isn't crashing right now.

I bought this phone a few months ago. I can summarize my experience: 1. When I first got it, the battery indicator was rubbish, however, I got the new software on it which resolved this problem. 2. The touch screen is lousy. Can't be compared to IPhone. 3. Sound quality, dual sim capability and other features are fine. No echo. 4. Another drawback is "slowness" of the unit if it stays on for long periods of time. If rebooted, problem solved temporarily. In conclusion, as a dual sim phone it is fine. Other brands are better if dual sim is not needed.

Battery falls a little short compared to my previous sony phone. Good quality battery replacement is available Arguably the best dual sim phone in the market.

I just bought recently a LGKS660 dual sim and having problems with sms sending & receiving. Sent messages got stocked in outbox folder and cannot be retrieved when replying to a message, when you save the senders message was saved instead so you cannot resend your original txt mssge. I like LG more than Samsung. For multimedia Lg it is better, the contacts are seen on the screen much better, the menues are looking better, the internet navigation, even the email reading are better (speed and the view on the screen) than samsung and I didn't have any problem with this phone.

The phone is better than Samsung D980. I didn�t have problems with echo�s. The echo�s I saw on some forums that can be resolve by codes even the battery indicator. I have try the codes and for me works. Everything works great at this phone for me, even the internet browsing and emails. The soft respond a little slower but I had phones slower than this with bigger expectations. From my opinion this phone it is a very good choice for those who wants a dual sim phone. I also have an Acer Dx900 but because of the battery life and other problems, I�m using it only for wifi, games, applications, gps. Acer Dx900 is no more produced because of many problems with the sims and battery life (needs to be restarted too often). Ks660 it is easier to use and you can easier manage the two sims, the picture viewer is vary fast, the movies played very good, the auto rotate screen works better than Acer (with acer when you talk on the phone and the screen is rotated, you must wait too long for the screen to comes back vertically and responds too late to the commands when you want quickly to change between the two sims and to stop a phone call). Till now I used: Samsung D780, D980, some Chinese dual sims phones, AcerDx900 and now Lg lg660 witch I like more than all.

I bought this phone 2 months ago in Singapore and was assured it had a 2 year international warranty and was easy to use etc. Since then, pretty much everything I need to use it for has stopped working. The keypad works roughly once a month for a few minutes, other than that, sending a message or dialling a number can take up to ten minutes! The sound is not much better with some calls impossible to hear whereas from my samsung, the same call is clear and loud. The T9 texting function is a disaster and keeps deleting words and if you turn of the T9 and try and type the letters manually, it only registers the 1st click, ie if you type the number 7, u will only get p and not q r or s! I have contacted LG and was told the guarantee did not apply out of Singapore! Basically that means I will have to throw the phone away as it is unusable and I can hardly fly to SIngapore to fix it. very disappointed indeed

I got this mobile for more than one month.I am happy with it .The two major draw backs were the echo problem and the poor battery bar indicator.The echo problem I solve it by managing the analog mic gain by using the secret code as it is mentioned by one of the comments below.The battery life is good "2 days with average use and two sim cards" and 3 days with average use and one sim card only , the indicator is bad because when it will be two bars that means that you already missed two thirds of battery power and not one as the bar indicate?.I solved this problem by using the secret code and then you go to eng mode then to device info then battery info then you will be able to get the exact voltage of the battery and this will help you alot to manage this issue. otherwise eveything is great, the camera is very good , the problem of small internal memory can be solved by external memory , I am using 4 G memory and the mobile managing it properly.I dont have significant block or touch screen problems.The performance and feature and management of all parts of the mobile were very nice and productive.The applications are very good .Very nice call reject system.Very good management of the photos ,I have more than 250 photo and video in the external memory and it manage it in a very good manner.the text and message managments are very nice also. Generally I am happy with it and the two drawbacks are not comparable to many good features in this mobile.

Both sim can not work parallaly for a long time. Some times i found one sim is inactive. then i asked to another person who used this sim, then found its ok. When i off my cell phone and open again then its shows ok. this is continuous fault within 5-6 hrs latter.

so i have studied echo problem more specific thru forums of several countries and mainly either this problem exists in some contries either not at all (so it can depend on production date...) so far what i have discovered how to fix an echo (no obviously will work 100%, but still) 1) change thru secret menu type 1809#*660#, then push Eng mode -> Audio Tunning -> Handset -> Full Touch -> Ul Gain -> Analog Gain -> MIC Gain -> type 0! push oK, then enter the same mic gain again and push save. Далее: Eng mode - Audio Tunning - Handset - Full Touch - Dl Gain - Digital Gain change 4096 to 10240 then go back then: Eng mode - Audio Tunning - Speaker Phone - Full Touch Dl Gain - Analog change 14636 to 18434 -> нажимаем ОК in Digital Gain submenu change 4096 to 10240 -> нажимаем ОК 2) problem tends to be solved by change of software to 10-i (depends on country) 3) problem is in 90% case changed mechanically for 5 minutes in service ( the rotate the microphone cover so that the mic head to touch completely the cover(rezine) - thу echo happens because of microphone reverberation inside the phone body (simple micro-echo effect), so the main idea- microfone should be isolated good luck

The echo problem is not network specific. I used this phone on 3 different networks (3 different Sim cards) and the echo problem persists. This problem has ruined an otherwise fantastic phone. LG needs to explain this! We have invested so much money on this phone and are not getting quality conversation!!

its a really bad phone and the service from lg is terrible. dont buy it. i,ve been using it for two months and i cant get rid of the echo problem. The battery goes dead in 2 min, indicator shows that its full but it just isnt. Just buy a nokia or sony-ericsson phone or a cheap chinese dual sim. this phone isnt worth the money you spend on it.

Hi there,Its best if you dont get the LG KS660. It is a terrible phone. U will regret buying this phone. I bought mine in August. And I've been using it for less than a week then problems started coming in..It has been in n out of the repair shop till this date. Its been 2months now ever since I bought this phone. I rather go for the DX900 one..with the price a little bit high. But still I dont know much abt the DX900. U better do more research on that phone =) goodluck!!

hi brother, this is nikhil. u questioned regarding the dual sim technology. actually dual sim means the phone has 2 sim slots... there are 2 different places to put 2 individual sim cards at the same time in the same phone... that means u can use 2 sim cards at a time in the same phone... but the logic is that, the dual sim phones are advisible only to those how have to use 2 sim cards, one for official use and one for personal, because at this point any phone featured with dual sim technology lacks in features and the quality of features... so if u dont use 2 sims at the same time go for non dual sim phone, it will give u more superior camera quality, high sound volume and with clear beats......

I have the same version and i just downloaded a new one, V10g, from some gsm site and the instructions how to flash the phone. i dont know is if this will solve my echo problem though...the problem is I ordered it from HK and I have to send it back which will cost me a lot 2...

Hi, mine is KS660AT_V10e what about yours? Now again I am HAVING PROBLEMS again!! Bugger!! This time its a different kind of problem. Not the echo one. Its the short messaging(SMS) side =( I just dont know what went wrong. So dissapointed =( Im going to contact back the person whom I bought it phone from.

Got the new replacement they've sent to me. Its working great. No more ECHO sound!! So happy!!

picture quality is good. The camera reacts fast and the pictures look very good. Echo is however the problem for me..

It has been a week since I sent my phone LG KS660 for repair due to the echo problem whenever people call me they will hear their voice echo-ing behind. The person said they have changed the mic but still have the echo sound =/ darn...I called them today & asked abt my phone. They said if its still not done repairing by tomorrow. They will replace a new one for me instead. I hope the new one doesn't have the same problem as before.

I also met the echo problem. both others call me or I call others. And SIM 1 is a litter better then SIM 2. Wonder, and wait if can update softerware to solve this.

Network issue? Hmm..It happens everytime people call me and also me calling them. And they complain to me saying that they can hear themselves echo-ing. So its like hearing two voice =/ pls help..does this happen to others?

Hi, If you set a sim as primary the out going calls and sms will be thru that sim by default. But, before each application it gives you an option to choose the sim, if you want.

Hi, No sms tones can be set against each contact. You can set different ring tones for each individual contact and assign group for each contact, like other phones. Secondly, you can protect the sim by password. I think this feature is available in all phones. My sim card is password protected for last 13 years. My first was, I remember, one old nokia one.

Like for Nokia phone they don't seem to have limited storage on that. I was thinking of getting the Samsung B5702 also a dual sim-card phone. You can use both the sims simultaneously. Both can be used to make calles, receive calls, send and receieve SMS as if carrying 2 mobile phones. Its very easy to select the sim during all applications. Moreovr you can select any sim as Primary without removing the sim from its slot. Only thing is it has to be rebooted while doing so. Its applicable while you switch off one sim too. What I noticed is its not as fast as Samsung Jet. But this phone is lighter than Samsung dual sim phones. LG provides 2 battery with the handset. So not sure about the battery life.

I am really interested in this phone. Do you know if you can run both sims AT THE SAME TIME? I know samsung has DOUS, but they are not physically appealing. So i want to know, if there are any phones out there, that can have both sims running at the same time, so i can answer calls from both sims. like if one person calls in sim 1, and someone else form sim 2, i can just hang up and answer the other one. PLEASE HELP!

I've been looking for a dual sim phone but I've heard that for some models, you have to switch from sim 1 to sim 2, reboot the phone and etc... Some of then you can do everything with the sim 1 and receive calls and txt from de second one. Is that the case for this model? Both voice and data work simultaneously? Samsung D980 is so old comparing to this one. Samsung is far less interactive. Old menu concept, small screen. It looks ancient :) Even Samsung F480 is way better than D980

The screen goes blank to save power; no screen saver clock. Battery life is good (4 days normal usage) when you set the brightness at 40% and 10 sec. display timeout. Great sound quality, photo also (macro function is great), responsive interface even with 4GB card full of music and stuff, qwerty keyboard appears when you rotate the phone, motion sensor for games, photos, videos. Overall i rate it 8 out of 10 :) because it dosen't have wi-fi and gps. I gave up using my HTC Touch Cruise for this model.
