This is really a great thing to see of LG phone. But the main issue I faced with this phone that is whenever I trying to connect my router with this phone then I faced Netgear Router Password Issues and it's really hard to solve. I don't even know why this problem occurs. Because the router works properly with other devices.

I'm happy because it has feature 3g network ,faster run , and downloadable pictures,music,videos,games and apps, but can not support E-books . i hope you will work the bluetooth feature . those who want to use pc suite of lgku250 just install the lgku250 pcsuite installer in your pc then after that plug your lgku250 phone using usb cable into usb port then install the driver just choose manually search driver then transfer the file in lgfolder it locate in c:/Program/lgfolder...

cheap phone for 3g connection.. average sound for playing music, good battery life.. what i don't like about this phone is sms messaging, maximum msg u can save is 300 including sent items and draft.. also the camera is so dark.. i only used this 3g phone as my modem when browsing the internet.. been using this phone for almost 2 years.. will probably buy a sony ericsson phone..

Try to restart your phone. Battery of your phone may have deformed somewhat and your phone's sim holder or pressure exerted on it may have loosened.Try to tighten the contacts and then check your phone operation.If it works, you can put some approprite packing in the mobile cover for the same.

Mine's bluetooth stopped working after accidentally dropping the phone a couple of times. So i figured that shocking the phone by dropping it again (obviously, this time in a controlled manner, i.e., dropping it in a carpeted floor) could reverse the failure. And guess what? It worked, as ridiculous as all this might sound. Anyway, take it to a good repair shop, I don't recommend this unless you're as cheap-ass as I am (the reason why inicially I bought this cheap-ass-yet-kick-ass phone)

I've been using this phone for almost a year and i love this phone. A very nice phone, at first i thought this phone sucks. But a little bit of experimenting, then whoala.. I'm luving it now. The only thing that I don't like on this phone is the camera, you can't turn off the sound click when capturing an image, you need to set the settings so you can get a nice image and no flash! lol you can't use it at night(you'll only see shadows). I installed 80+ games(not playing anymore) on my phone and 10+ applications. Haha..

Buy the headset directly at the LG main office. I do. And i bought the one which has a 3.5mm jack. Great. Uhm... do you think i can use the headset of ku250 to LG Kp199. I'm planning to buy that unit for its long battery life. My KU250 has a short battery life almost one and a half days of below average use. And my keypad are not as responsive anymore, hard to press.. Bluetooth is on and off... In the philippines, there are many service centers that offers to unlock that phone.

got this phone wayback 2007, and i find it good, at first i find hard to cope with the settings of the phone, but eventually you will find this user friendly, i cant ask anything in regards with the features, for those who have problems with their bluetooth...it is a unit problem, you must go to the store where you bought it, 2nd internet is good, you dont need to install anything in able for you to access webdiste, although the screen is kinda small, but the internet service for this phone is good for web browsing, texting, i never encountered problems with this phone, durable phone as well beacause it was tossed by my daughter several times and still working =D , i never had problems with this phones. user friendly. clear pictures for 1.3mp , even night mode, even if youre going to use the front camera, good for mp3 music as well, good games from download centers, expandable memory up to 2gb. the first thing that you need to ensure, buy the phone brand new and from a good reputation stores in able for you to experience my experience with this phone. =D

i really like the phone. the interface is very much easy than SE. i like what they did with the shortcuts, you have the option of using the keypad numbers instead of scrolling. what i don't like is the battery. i don't know what they about battery stand-by time. is the phone OFF? or is the phone ON but not used? but base on my experience, if the phone is ON and i'm not doing anything on it, it just gave me 72hrs (review is stating 400hrs). But correct me if i'm wrong of my understanding of battery stand-by time. ty.

i bought 2 units of this. one is openline and the other one locked to globe. specifications and its functions is so efficient to use. but i'd like to unlock the one unit from globe. i went to several phone stall to unlock it from globe but they have no installer for this unit (KU250).all i want is to try it for the new RED sim as what in commercials which this unit (KU250)is highly recommended and suitable. i'm so very disappointed that it has no NCK# that will open the locked sim from the service provider. anybody can do a help? i think im not the only one who in-countered like this problem. more power...

on ur phone settings, just edit ur home screen, chose the dual clock display then select which cities u'd like to display on screen. it's very convenient especially if ur tracking the time of a certain place. just make sure it's the right city. gud luck!:)

I have my ku250 just last August, Im using a 2gb memory card, as of know I have 200 plus mp3 songs, 54 video clips (scandals) more than 23 downloaded games and plenty of pictures..and guess what only 43% of my memory was used.....now what i can say is that....bili na kayo, it a small,compact & affordable phone in the market with lots of features that is comparable to a n series phone of nokia. It is a user friendly phone, like a keybord, every menu has a shortcut key. So what the hec are you waiting for. Buy one to appreciate.....I think LG, owes me for this unsolicited comment I say nothng but the whole truth.

Using KU250 as a modem in VISTA Make sure that you are connected to internet. First connect the ku250 in data service mode and connect it to computer. Let the computer to search the driver and download and install drivers. Right click LG PC SUITE setup select properties and select windows xp sp2 compatiblitiy mode. The Run the setup as Administrator by right clicking the setup, After installation there will be a error "Unable to find wdfusbus.inf". Ignore it. Run the PC Suite. Close the connection wizard because it cannot detect the phone. Select internet kit from file menu. Click setting and create a profile and enter your settings. Click Connect. After you have connected there is a Set "Network Location" Window.Close it. There will be a small error message called "Disconnect". DO NOT CLOSE IT OR CLICK OK.JUST DRAG IT ANYWHERE IF YOU WANT. Open the browser and surf the internet. Click disconnect after you have done.

I had this phone for more than a year already, a very nice phone considering its technology bundle at very low price, however, the keypad is somewhat hard to press and the text font is very small...not good for people with eyesight problems...but if your vision is 20-20, it would be a nice and practical phone. It looks classy actually.Battery life is long and you can charge it while using as modem on a pc or laptop.

i also had the same problem before i didn't know the security code. try entering 0000 (4 zeros)i belive that is the default security code for the phone. you can then change it afterwards

I also had a problem installing the cd to my laptop but I installed it in my desktop with pirated Operating System (XP). I think it is not compatible with any genuine and updated OS. Anyway, I can still use it as a modem on my laptop but im not using the pc suite. I am using a dilaer same like a dial-up. Just because you get a bigger memory in your cellphone does not mean that it works faster. The bigger the memory, the slower it takes for the cellphone to process the data in your greatly expanded memory of 2 GB. It doesn't work like a computer where in more memory means more faster. It works like a guy looking for a package in a gigantic space of nothingness. To solve the problem, either buy a better cellphone or buy a card with a shorter memory capacity. My card is 512 and it works perfectly. 1 GB could do but 2 GB is too big. Now you understand why some people would rather buy more than 1 cards than simply 1 card with a huge capacity.

Ok, I got a 2GB microSD card. So far, I only have used about 25% of its total memory space (500MB). But everytime I open my Musics and Videos folder, it really takes a lot of time before it finishes to load. Usually it takes about 30 seconds or so. this phone is really good... in terms of quality and price... to those question regarding the phone. memory yes it does support upto 2GB of sd card pc connection when connecting the phone to pc to transfer files, we need to install the software that came with the phone, BUT... if we have an sd card inserted onto the phone, we can use mass storage feature to transfer songs, pictures, videos and we can also sync this with windows media player.

to bing: u can only make video call when ur current network or "signal" is in 3g, not in gsm. by default your mobile network is in automatic meaning your phone will use the network that has the stronger "signal" be it 3g or gsm, but not both. you can manually change ur network to 3g by going to menu > setting > network > network mode > UMTS. this will keep ur phone to look onlu for a 3g signal. once you see the 3g bars on the upper left of your mobile screen, start video calling away =) hope it helps. cheers!

i've just bought a LG KU250 phone this mornin.. i didn buy an external memory for it yet.. so now am havin only the 10 MB storage as far as i know .. ok.. the problem is that every time i attach the mobile to the pc .. it goes ok and notifies me that it finds a new hard ware and recognize the modem, port and usb of it as well.. and tells me that it's ready for use.. To LG Master. . . My Laptop has a Bluetooth device, and a Bluetooth software (IVT BlueSoleil). When I search for devices, it detects my LG KU250, but when I use the Service Discovery feature, it says "failed". So I can't transfer games via Bluetooth. I also tried using the USB Cable and I already installed the LG PC Suite. When I press Contents, I can see the My Music, My Videos, and My Images folder but the Others folder is missing so I still can't transfer games. When I try to transfer a .jar game to My Music folder, it says "You can't transfer a .jar filename to My Music folder". Same thing happens when I try to transfer it to My Videos or My Images folder.

Everything seems to be fine but as I was reading the specs here it says 1000 phonebook entries but mine only has 500, also, would there be any chances to improve the audio output via the headset and speakers of this baby? Regarding that choppy call from KU250, I am sure this is because of wrong setting. You have to go to Call Settings menu,then to Answer Mode menu, then choose "handset" instead of "hands-free". That's it!

i have this phone and it works fine with me. it's just that it doesn't play a long message tone, it only last for about 5 secs. as for the camera, it doesn't have zoom in and zoom out. nevertheless, its performance is great compared to its very low price for a 3G and camera phone with 1.3MP.

For fiona -Well, i'm also experiencing that problem, but, for only a single or double time. Maybe, the unit itself have a problem, just return it to the place that where you purchase it or check it to the costumer service center, For MrQ -I think the problem is on the camera itself try to take to the costumer service center and let them check for you. LG Master: My phone is only 3 months old. I am using a 2 gb memory card. I've barely taken up 1/4 of the memory space. and YET, the unit keeps on shutting down for no apparent reason. average shutdown rate per day is 3-4 times! and it doesn't shut down while i'm using it. We've set the phone to night mode, max brightness, powersave off and the imageviewer are nice and bright but after pressing the button to shoot, the picture becomes dim and after checking the settings were all back to default. To use this phone as modem with Vista: Be sure your computer is connected to the internet (ie via Wifi or 56k modem). Connect your KU250 via USB, let Windows access the web to find drivers. Vista will find and install the appropriate drivers (3 drivers) Afterwards, create a new connection via Windows Vista 'create a connection' tool. Choose Dial-up, in the next screen choose the LG as modem. input *99# as the number to call. Username and password as provided by your service provider, in many countries, it could be left blank. After it's done. Right-click on the connection - advance - change the speed to 460800 from 115200. You're done. Click and connect. No need to install the LGPCSuite, which is not compatible with Vista. Typed this from memory, so some of the wordings may not matched what is displayed on Vista. It may even lack a step or two, but the crux of the idea is there.

For helmy: -On No.1,Yes you can record. Just go I'm not pretty sure about the ku300, but you can access it on ku250, go on the "voice recorder". In No.2,No you can't. But you can use the numbers in accessing the menu. Use it in short cut. In No.3,Yes you can use it to take a self picture. And, about the video call, it is already in the front face of the face of the cellphone when you are video calling. For : -You must need the 3G and the USB Port to use it as a modem.

for those who are using windows vista and smart... try installing pc suite and it will install the modem driver but with errors. dont worry just do a windows update and it will fix the driver for you. now, you will be having a problem when connecting your phone to pc suite but if you wish to connect to the net go to "connect to" at start prompt and make a dial up connection then choose your lg phone modem. put *99***1# in phone number leave username and password blank and connection name as Smart then dial and you'll be connected in no time.

For me: -You can save your video in your memory for a while, then connect it in the PC. After this, check the Video that you've downloaded and store it in the Videos Folder in the My Memory Card. For jan: -The games that are compatible in your fone is, 176x220 it should be JAVA. And also jan, you can download a best games in ZEDGE.NET, the games in the other sites are not working. For chilly -Yah, that's true that your fone will hang up if you are using 1G. But try this one, use the Folders to organize your files, specially in your Sounds, this is the main cause of your hang up. For the others with problem -You cannot mute the sound while taking the pics. -Then, be careful in using 1G mem card. Don't frequently use it in music. This might burn your card.

this is a great low-end 3G phone but i found some BUGS when i connect this device to my notebook. I already install the pc suite n LG modem usb driver but this device can't be found by my notebook. you can go to getjar.com. make sure you only download j2me applications with 176x220 screen resolution. download only the files with the jar exntension. save them in your others folder of your external microSD. then run the application.

I recently had this LG KU250. At first I was excited as it is already 3G. My excitement was turned into disgust as I was not able to connect it with my desktop. A connection error persists and could not be corrected. Now, this made me realized my waste basket is just an arms length away ... ready for the throwing... Buying Nokia 3G unit might just be the solution. :-)

For guys in the Philippines Smart and Globe are both selling this phone!!! Smart sells it for P5,990 while it's P5,950 at Globe. I m not sure if the SIM Card is included. You can check out the website of both telecom giants and see for yourself or you can also visit their shops located in malls. I've already seen this phone at the Globe shop and I wasn't that much impressed with it's finish and material, it kinda looks cheap to me although the features aren't. Globe is currently promoting LG U380 which is also a 3G phone exclusively distributed by them though i haven't really seen one yet. It's a clamshell phone with just as much features as the ku250, that's based on what I've read on this site. I'm actually planning to buy either ku250 or u380 as a gift to myself this Christmas but I'm still trying to find something which is just around the price range of these two phones with the same or better features. there are no such things as LG KU250 Themes yet Unless you have a device to hack its file management... so far there is only one but still there are no applications that could permit writing on the phone's systems. LG KU250 or U250 is a qualcomm phone.. i've had this phone last july with globe postpaid plan. when i started using it to call there was quite a problem because the one i'm calling can't hear me clearly...i thought it was because of the poor signal but the signal bar was full. i haven't got time to visit the repair center for LG phones. anyway, i dropped it once and then finally, when i use this to call someone, they can hear me perfectly well, it lasted for a week though. now i'm having difficulty with it again. also there are instances when it says that there is no signal when all my friends using globe have signal. hmmm...i don't know my phone must have a problem. if there are 2 bars left on the battery icon, i'm having a hard time to send message it keeps going to the outbox folder. errrr!!! i don't know what's wrong with it. do you know where i can have this phone repaired?

I have just got this phone from Globe yesterday and yes it is really user friendly. There's no need for me to read the manuals as I was already having fun using the features while on the way home. Here's a list of the Pros I that liked about this phone: - It is light and small and easily fits in my pocket. - The interface is good and customizable. - The back camera is great and I loved the quality of the pictures it took. It has additional controls which changes the effects and quality of the photos. - The mp3 player works fine and the music plays good on the speaker phone. - The video playback is good. I uploaded mp4 video files and I loved the quality. - I liked the rubbery feel of the keypad. - SMS creation and management is easy. - I had no problems installing .jar files like games though some of these files aren't compatible with the unit. - It connected easily with my computer and functioned as a USB drive. Here are the cons: - The SMS font size is rather small. But this isn't quite an issue with me maybe except for those who have difficulty reading the small text. - The sound on the headset is rather weak and I could barely hear the music while I'm on a vehicle. It could have been much better if: - It had FM radio. - The unit has some sort of flash or torch to aid in taking pictures at night. - The faces or casing could be changed. All in all, this phone is great for its price. I got it for P5,950.00 and I got my money's worth. I'll be keeping this phone for maybe two years or more depending if a new upgraded model of it will be released.

I got my LG KU250 when I subscribed to Globe-Philippines' Postpaid plan. The kit includes: a USB cable, a charger, an LG drivers disc, a headset and a manual. But I'm not sure if all LG KU250 kits have all of those. My frined also got his LG KU250 but it didn't include the headset.

doesnt anyone have problems with video capture settings? My friends' KU250 videos come really dark after it was shot... altering the settings(like getting brightness up a notch, going super fine and activating nightmode)makes it more clear on viewfinder mode but won't work for as soon as he clicks the shoot button to start capturing, it reverts back to the dark state and checking the settings after... the alteration we made were not saved. Anyone know how to save these video settings?

@ viking Since I haven't tested extensively the use of BT I can't be sure if it's better or not. But some owners of the phone say it is better. You may download the PC Suite at With regard to the cable, if they're selling it in your place, surely they have cables for it there too. Or you may try cables issued for recent models of LG.

Reply to viking: I'm using USB cable right now but i plan to buy a bluetooth dongle for my PC soon. I've had no problem using USB so far. I'm using LG PC Suite 2 (the one bundled with the phone) but I devised a trick to enable message reading/sending through the PC. You may visit to view the complete instructions on how to do it.

Nice phone for its price range. Features present are mostly found in the high-end brands/models which is out-of-reach for most people. Of course, there are some bugs/problems encountered by some, but for me the only 'problems' I have are the very small fonts and dark theme. The most impressive thing I like about it is its PC connectivity - I use it to connect to the internet and it's really fast- and its capability to be used as a flash disk is convenient. Games/apps installation is a breeze. Compared to other brands, you can install/uninstall all you want, without worrying too much about space (if you have a large SD disk) or size of the application. From a scale of 1-10 (10 being the highest) I give it 8.5.

hi guys... my friend has this phone since its a real value for money... but he has complaints about the camera... his' appears dark especially when taking video. We've tried altering the camera settings but as soon as you start the video function, it reverts back to a darker state. Its hard to see the faces in the video and you can hardly see anything when you take video in poorly lit areas. Does anyone have the same problem? anyone know how to permanently alter the camera settings because when we set it and after youve used the video... the setting reverts back to its default.

In response to those who are experiencing troubles in connecting their LG KU250 to their PC, I got this solution from pao posted here in this siye on 2007-09-22 04:39 PBYS @ camille first make sure u have enough memory on the phone or just purchase a 1gb memory card to make sure it acn accomodate the files that you will be downloading secondly, you have to downbload the lg pc suite or install the software that came with the phone--- if you dont have one just download the the pc suit at www.betterthan3g.com under "devices" if you have the software and is running perfectly on your pc, click on detect phone. once the phone is detected, click on contents and it will bring up a folder where you can cut and paste ur files... easy enough if your pc suite is not working, set ur phone to "storage device" (sometimes it says, "Mass Storage") under usb connection. then the pc will detect it as a removable device u can just drag ur files to that disk and your files will be transfered without requiring the pc suite program.. i hoped i helped you... enjoy your ku250's :) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Now, for those looking for a short cut to lock the key pad I learned this from my friend Dimpol: just long press on the cancel key or the key that has the letter "C" on your keypad. @wYGY Yeah, I think my phone is a "hacked" iPhone. I just found out that DG Cards are not authorized dealers. Anyway, as long as the phone is working and gets updated via iTunes, I don't see that as a problem. Besides, I also found a way to hack an iPhone :) BTW, my iPhone is NOT made in China. I couldn't fing an iPhone here in the Phils. made in USA, so I decided to buy the one made in Hungary instead

To ianne, Normally most phones today do have its own inbox beside the SIM's inbox. The phone can normally view both at the same time (joined together) or either one. So, its possible that the phone's inbox is actually empty. Everytime i press browsings it said that "connection Failed" and I cannot appreciate the manual, doess not explain anything about internet connections. seems like it has short configuration on internet connection. and to what smart communications could offer, intructions on its hidden dial numbers on GPRS, MMS and 3G functions. @lhongskie No, the LG KU250 does NOT support 3.5G network. It is only capable of receiving 384kbps max, whilst 3.5G is capable of receiving upto 3.6Mbps max. @fireball Yes, I do have an iPhone. I bought it at DG Phone Cards, an authorized dealer for the iPhone. It comes complete with the original packaging and manual, and it is made in Hungary. Though they also retail a cheaper iPhone which is made in China. My iPhone seems to be fully functional, and is openline for all networks worldwide

@lhongskie, the differences of 3g and 3.5g are speed and network infrastracture. 3g has a max speed of 384 kbps and runs on either UMTS/WCDMA networks while 3.5g has speeds of up to 3.5 mpbs, i think there is another one with 1.5 mbps only and running on networks with hsdpa. lg ku250 is a 3g phone running on dual mode gsm/umts. the most widely used 3g infra in asia and even in europe is umts (universal mobile telephony service). @jon2 just wondering, do you have an iphone here in the phils? i believe that the phone is locked in at&t network in us and just recently on sale in europe. 2008 is the release of iphone in asia. do you have a hacked iphone? your phone cannot work here until it's "openline" and under your eula warranty will be voided and be vulnerable to security threats.

I got this fone here in Dubai because I am amaze with its price (499 Dirhams or approx 6K pesos lang). though the camera and resolution is not as good as other branded fones but its a good fone. It has the features that I need. 3G, music & video player with playlist manager, expandable memory, camera (though not quite good). My only problem here is I am not able to activate my 3G. Rep. asked for my Globe sim, which he used to test the fone (he didn't tell me nor i had any idea that my postpaid sim will only be activated after 3+ days). anyway, after he gave back the phone, i checked the inbox and all txt msgs from my old phone were there. last night, i inserted my old sim back to my old phone. however, a while ago, my friend said that i should use the LG phone to test it if has defects, etc. so i inserted my old sim back to the LG, and i found out that the inbox was now empty. i was just wondering, is this natural? if so, how come when the representative gave me the phone yesterday, all the saved messages from my old sim were accessible? please help. thanks.

to jon2 - it sounds that you do hate this phone. i disagree with what just have commented. first - on audio, lgku 250 is far better that any nokia phone around (it may be not that loud using handsfree but it is not tunog lata and ngongo..)Using the head set it can beat ipod. second- i am using 2gb misro sd, and promise i've never experienced yong sinasabi mong hanging.. third - colors actually is not really an issue. fourth - camera may be not excellent, but it is OK na. afterall all camera phones are not really at par even with the lowest res. stand alone digicam. (....not really an issue) 5th - internet connection is fast. the fastest i've ever experienced in a 3g phone. then if you really have that budget....buy nok N95 or sony erricson's P1 phones. - good luck to you..

I've bought 1 unit and i find it a great buy! and I'm using it mainly for connecting to the internet! For only 10 pesos per 30 minutes and a 115.2 Kbps dial up connections (better than 56 Kbps landline dial up!)This is how it works 1. You should have USB Bluetooth Adapter 2. You should install BlueSoleil software included 3. Pair your LG KU250 and computer using BlueSoleil main window application then click the 2nd icon (Bluetooth Dial Up Networking Service) 4. Dial Up window should appear, leave user name & password blank and dial # should indicate this # (*9***1#) 5. You should now be connected to the internet! Enjoy!

Greetings to all! I know its has been quite a long time now and for so many times already that configuration of the KU250 for internet connection was discussed. My apologies to those who are so kind and helpful to share their knowledge and expertise in doing so but I'm afraid those things don't seem to work well with me. Perhaps, I'm just too stupid to follow the instructions mentioned or there are some other things need to be done for me or us to fully enjoy using the phone as media for internet connection. In this regard, would somebody kindly enough to post an "idiot's" step by step instruction on how to do it as well as other things that might be encountered along the installation and configuration process? Likewise, other things need to be done such as, do i need to make a dial up connection icon/shortcut just like what I normally do using a prepaid internet card? I would be delighted if someone could do this for somebody like me. Thank you and I aplogize for being a dummy.

@ camille first make sure u have enough memory on the phone or just purchase a 1gb memory card to make sure it acn accomodate the files that you will be downloading secondly, you have to downbload the lg pc suite or install the software that came with the phone--- if you dont have one just download the the pc suit at www.betterthan3g.com under "devices" if you have the software and is running perfectly on your pc, click on detect phone. once the phone is detected, click on contents and it will bring up a folder where you can cut and paste ur files... easy enough if your pc suite is not working, set ur phone to "storage device" under usb connection. then the pc will detect it as a removable device u can just drag ur files to that disk and your files will be transfered without requiring the pc suite program.. i hoped i helped you... enjoy your ku250's :)

i just got my phone last week. it is very good in terms of features. kumpleto naman and knowing that i just got it for 5.9k. the only thing im just bothered is that the soft phone keys cannot be personalized. i am a globe subscriber but my right soft phone key is configured to go to the smart browser. even the browser inside the menu shows the smart logo.. can someone help me change this and restore it to factory settings? can we reformat the phone to change those things? help would really be appreciated... thanks in advance

KU250 ANSWERS: *The left & right soft keys of this phone are fixed. They cannot be changed. *You can use 2gb memory card, works fine. *To microphone problems: You might be on 3G mode, try using GSM 900/1800 mode. If the problem still exist, try puting your simcard on another brand of phone & test it, if it sounds clear then the problem is in your ku250 microphone. *Yes it can play MP4 even if its not indicated in the manual. *To transfering music via bluetooth problem: They are normal. There are really some music that cannot be transfered depending on formats. Try renaming or shortening the title b4 transfering them to your phone. If your phone cannot received music all the time then your phone has a problem.

I own one. This phone is cool considering that it is cheap. However, I wonder if your LG also has weak transmit audio (mic)? I am more of a "call" person and more often than not the person on the other line can bearly hear me though I can hear them clearly. Same goes with video call. Does anybody have the same sentiment? red if you want to buy a pretty decent headset, go to the lg main office at 15 francisco legaspi st. maybunga, pasig city. the unit cost PhP 982.00, comes in black and ipod white. definitely better sounding than the speaker of our ku250, better bass and treble. it also has a 3.5 mm phone jack so that you can plug a better headset unit that you like. buy one now, ang bilis maubos ng stocks nila.

Acquired my unit last month. I thought i would never encounter a problem w/ the application except when i used the video call. I can clearly transmit an outgoing video call but cannot receive an incoming video calls. I just don't know if you have encountered this. I tried to scroll all over the thread to find for a solution but it seems no one encountered this since i have'nt read a post regarding this concern. Has someone knew the problem? The sound quality is bad. It is very flat regardles of the usage of the phone's preset EQ's. I'm not sure if its the LG Headset or the phone. I was suspecting it was the LG Headset. I can't try other headsets since it has a different USB socket. I can't use the usual 1/8"jacked headphones to tell the difference. But I'm pretty convinced it was the headset.

We, together with my 10 colleagues got our LG KU250 at Globe Telecom Plan800. (It wasn't a complete package actually coz they say the first batch that LG shipped doesnt contain headset with their package. She's not asking what media player to use on her PC to play 3gp files. To Evil Tessa, You can only play 3gp video clips in your LG KU250 for now. just got my LG KU250 last friday and so far I don't experience the problems that is listed here... but when I wake up around 12mn to prepsre for my 3am shift, I looked at me phone and saw this little icon that I can't seem to find on the manual. I didn't do anything with my phone before I went to sleep yesterday afternoon. I just want to share this. I have a problem with my unit. At first I thought it was a network related problem since the first time I got the phone from Globe as a loyalty reward i encountered no problems. A week or so later I begun experiencing problems with signals. First, the signal bar drops all the time until it shows an "x" mark. then I noticed that messages were delivered to me very delayed as 4 or 6 hours later. Even If there is signal according to the signal bar indicator, I can't send messages. Messages I created gets stucked in the outbox with the status "waiting" then eventually "failed". I can't receive calls either even if the bar indicates a signal. Calling parties gets the "Subscriber Cannot Be Reached" voice prompt. I can't make outgoing calls as well. It returns an error message "Call Ended". If I can make a call, my audio to the other party I'm calling saids it's choppy, then eventually would drop "Call Ended". BUT, these problems are "territorial", only if I am in my house. My husband has the same phone but he doesn't have these problems. When I go outside, I get better results, when I go to Malls or wherever, the problem goes away. Even when I went to Globe Business Center in Gateway Mall, they tested the phone but found nothing but goodness. We tried everything to remedy the problem: Change the network mode to GSM 1800/1900 and select Manual to Globe; Disabled all barrings; restarted the phone; etc. This has been reported as well to Globe and was an open case for over two weeks, until a Globe Engineering Representative dropped by our house yesterday afternoon and checked the network strength and other technicalities including my phone. We exchanged phones, sims, inserted sim to other phones, etc. We both agreed that there is no network problem and that the phone unit itself is the problem. The tall and cutie guy from Globe Engineering advised me to bring the phone unit to LG Service Center in Maybunga, Pasig for checking. I called LG about it, and gladly, they said I could bring my unit to Welkom in Robinson's Galleria. I haven't been to Welkom yet due to heavy rains. So if you guys are having problems or the same problems as mine, you can bring your phone for checking at Welkom, Robinson's Galleria, West Wing Lower Level (daw). Some of my friends have informed me of similar incidents with their KU250 phones. Eventual dropping signals. Messages don't get sent. Etc. Are there members here with the same experiences? phantom don't worry it's ok, no need to say sorry. anyway, downloading java apps and games from wap.getjar.com thru the quick download code won't cost you anything (i've been downloading tons of java apps from there for 3 years now) but the wap connection from smart, but there are games that are demo only, so be smart to spot the demo version in every apps so that you won't waste your connection time. well, if you have your micro sd already, then just connect your lg as a mass storage; then you can copy just the .jar file to your Games & Applications folder then launch it from there.

phantom unfortunately, from what i know, you cant use the ku250 as a mass storage unless you have a micro sd so the process of installing java apps and games isn't possible. On the other hand, if you really want to install java apps and games, just follow these links: operamini beta is the best! now here's the tip, go to the getjar link then browse for apps or games that you like, click on the thumbnail to see the details, then look for and write down the Quick Download Code in each of your preferred app. After that, using your ku250, go to this link: wap.getjar.com then follow the instructions.

my primary storage setting is external memory ( 2GB microsd), currently 40% free and 60% in use(240 mp3's, 36 jar games & 36 36 3gp format tom & jerry cartoon collection). i played T&J video for 2 hrs, my phone didnot hang.

I had similar problems when using my lg phone as a modem but this is what finally worked. When the LG pc suite asks you to make a probfile, use the following APN:internet PhoneCode:*99# I get 460 kbps connection speeds. Futhermore, lock your phone to use only 3g. It automotically scans for the strongest signal (2G/3G/GPRS). Even with a strong signal, GPRS can only reach speeds of about 60 or so kbps (in short it sucks). 3g gives me over 400kbps. In short weak signaled 3g is still a hell of a lot better than strong signalled GPRS. Question: 1) ON installing JAR files... So I just copy jar files directly into the others folder? But when I launch the LG suite, it only shows the following folders... My images, My videos and My sounds. How do I access the other parts of my phone to install the Jar files. 2) Plust How do I use Jad files? 3) Is there a way to hardreset my LG PHone, like Hard resetting a pocket pc? too make everything a clean slate on my memory? 4) Can I install java games unto a storage card (microsd)? 5) do Jar and Java files leave foot prints in my phone's memory(why I want to install everything in a microsd). How do I use these to run programs? do I run it on windows to install unto the phone or put it directly into my phone and run them as executables. mrx, bmanx & leo just want to ask you guys if your unit have an external micro sd memory, cause maybe (if you are using the phone's memory only) you have filled the phones memory with so many files that it hang or freezes. well this is just an opinion, someone out there can disprove this.

My unit's acting the same way. It switches off by itself and the only way it can be switched back on is to remove the battery and put it back on. Also, 3G is a third generation mobile technology where it support fast data transfer. 3G is not equal to video call and/or front cam. Its just that 3G support such enhancements and more One thing. dude, nokia 6151 do support 3g functionality but data only but no video call support due to single cam only on the other hand nokia 6630 although at has single cam can support video calls but it is only one way, you can view the user but she cant see you (lack of camera) on the other hand, one can see you if you will face the camera but you can't see the person because the screen is on the other side. lg ku250 I believe is the best price-feature ratio ever. even beating alcatel (considered best in price-feature ratio). i am planning to acquire one next week primarily as a modem. : ) but i wonder if it will support linux (i use ubuntu linux in support against piracy and free and open source software) i tried using wine to install the pc suite but it doesn't work. hehehe. maybe next week, i will give another shot if i already acquired one for myself. if you will compare phones, your benchmark must be the price - feature ratio. on the other side, looks is almost the same as se k610i and i think it is still a complement for lg ku250.

� @Alex It seems that we�re experiencing the same tech problem, I bought my unit at globe and followed their website instructions too, but you should be discreet on the use of APN for the prepaid and postpaid and the modem should be LGE Mobile USB Modem. You could also try to use the number that LG_EEK suggested �*99#�. Likewise, it is appropriate if you have p4 as processor or higher and win xp as your os; and I suggest that you should buy an extra micro SD card if it is not included in the package an extra P600 for a 1gb. If it doesn't work, then there could be a problem in the internal modem of the unit, I suggest you should inform the business center where you bought your unit for extended warranty.Good luck!

Those who are planning to buy this phone, let me give you an overall judgement of it. The main and sole purpose of KU250 is to provide the use of 3G technology specifically video calling to common people or should i say not so highly budgeted people. That's why it's obviously called "3G for all". Why would they put a front camera in this phone that leaves the front cam of N73 very very far behind and yet comes with a very low price? It's because their aim for this phone is "video calling for all", another term for me of "3G for all". That's why it's the most affordable dual cam phone in the world i think! But hey, although its cheap, this phone is heavily armed with features found in high-end phones! So if you're just a plane cellphone user, not so techie like me, then this phone would be far more than enough for it's price. But if you're a techie one, holds a lot of info, a perfectionist, and a deep lover of music sound quality, then this phone could be found wanting. My advise, try it. If it doesn't fits you then sell it. It's very affordable anyway.. Have a nice day!

To message memory problem: I dont think we can store msgs in Mcard, only phonebook. You can use a little space in your sim & save up to 105 extra msgs by deleting extra pbook1 & pbook2, that is if your sim provide extras.

concerning the not clear vioce call: the problem could be in the network or in the other party you're calling. Try calling others, prefarably those in another network. If the problem still is consistent in every call you made even if you're in 2G, i suggest seeing your dealer.

Those who are having a difficulty in reception, try to use 2G signal instead of 3G. This is because 3G signal might still be weak in your area. Go to network settings in your phone & change the network mode to GSM 900/1800. This was my very big problem before...

for those who are looking for games, try this: 1.go to smart wap site in your phone 2.select downloads 3.select tools & apps 4.press "next" 5.select split second (this brings you to Fugumobile smart) 6.when you're in fugumobile smart, scroll down to the bottom & press Home. There you will find categories for games, just select. I downloaded 1 game for P30 & it works perfectly on my phone. I did'nt try to download the others coz im not really into games. hope this helps... For those who have not yet known: The phone can zoom in before capturing a picture & before recording a video. Just press up or down arrow in camera or video mode. The phone also can forward or rewind videos. Just long press the right or left arrow. very cool & tricky phone!

I bought one and although first impressions were good, when I used it to phone someone, I got really dissapointed, I mean, no one could hear me clearly, I had to shout in order to be listened. This phone's pretty great. Got it with Globe's Gflex 800 plan for free and so far, with a 1gig micro SD, I'm loving it. I just have some qualms about the headset/charger/USB plug on the side -- the cover's really difficult to open. Also, the camera is often overexposed; the highlights quite harsh. The exposure function doesn't answer that, sadly. The loudspeaker's not that loud too, and when you do put it in the loudest setting it buzzes with deep bass tones. Other than these two quirks, the LGKU250 is one good catch; I just hope I can find protective casings for it! ^__^

I bought this LG KU250 (6,290 pesos) from SMART in Mall of Asia along with a 2GB Kingston Micro SD Card (1,180 pesos) from CD-R King. Problems: I setup the phone's 3G, GPRS, and MMS by texting a number and saving the settings. After installing LG PC Suites. It asked me to create a profile. I called Smart to ask for the profile info. Long story short. Smart's tech support at *888 sucks ass. Don't waste your time if you have a problem. I had to go back to Mall of Asia just to get the number to dial. I don't understand why the people on the phone couldn't just give this info *99***1# Problem resolved :) I can go online with the supplied USB cable Bluetooth I have an MSI Bluetooth dongle. For some reason I can't use LG PC Suite to connect to phone. Fix: I used the Bluetooth MSI software to pair with the phone and use it as a modem. Dial *99***1# No user name or passord :) Connecting to 3G with Bluetooth is a lot better than with the cable. No games installed. :( I found games, but haven't figured out how to get them to work. I read you have to make sure you download games with the proper screen size. Windows Vista LG PC Suites won't install on Vista. :( I had to restored my laptop to XP to use the phone as a modem. :( Internet browsing on the phone It works, but you'll waste a lot of your time typing with the keypad and moving around the screen. It's nice to have in case you need to check something right away and have no access to a computer, but I probably won't be using it much. I tried Yahoo! Messenger on the web. It works, but takes me long to type a message (I text slow). Overall I'm happy with the phone. A lot of bang for the buck. I want to buy another one for my wife.

to all those who are having a problem in the LG PC Suite 2 downloaded in SMART website and the USB cable, i sorted buying a bluetooth device. eventhough in buying it, you need to test it first if it is compatible to the phone. luckily i found Corega bluetooth USB dongle model BTUSBO1. i don't have a problem anymore in transferring files. i also bought a cheap microSD with 2.0GB and ,voila, i have a lot of memory to store my music and pictures :)re headset, 1st week pa raw ng august available yon mismo sa LG Electronics sa Maybunga, Pasig amounting to around 500.00. But after listening to my music using the built-in speaker of the phone, the sounds are crisp and i think i don't badly need the headset as of now. In rating the LG KU250, I give the phone a 9/10 for its functionality and affordability. hassle nga lang yung compatibility nya sa mga accessories na available sa market na nangyari sa akin for the 1st few days of having it. eventhough, i strongly recommend buying this phone :)

@bang ilang gig yun microsd mo? try to format it using a memory card reader. dont quick format it. use FAT/FAT16 when formatting it. @Gemz use the pcsuite to transfer music files to your microsd. if you dont have the pcsuite, you can use card reader to transfer your music files into your microsd.

running games 1. find games that have a resolution of 176x220 to fit to the phone's screen. Games with resolutions other than the one I mentioned, hindi magiging maganda sa screen mo kasi either malaki or maliit sa screen. 2. Then transfer it on the external memory (memory card), and put it on the OTHERS folder. Temporary lang yang location na yan hanggang sa ma-install mo yung game sa cellphone mo. 3. when transferred, install the game by running it. Install it on the EXTERNAL MEMORY (memory card) and not on the phone memory or else mauubos ang phone memory mo. 4. when the installation is complete, go back to the OTHERS folders where you put the JAR/JAVA game and you can delete it since you installed it na. 5. the installation files of the games are now in the GAMES AND APPLICATIONS folder of your memory card. dont delete this. Or else, it will be like uninstalling it. hope this is clear

the phone is indeed a GSM (gumagana sa manila). here in tarlac where cell sites are scarce, the KU250 has difficulty receiving the signal. My Motorola E1 rokr has better reception capability. maybe that is the only weak point I observed, and it is very important.

I bought mine from Globe and guess what - it has a headset. My wife and daughter also got their KU250s last week from Globe and they didn't get theirs. So now my daughter is using the headset. Maybe they provide units with headsets for new subscribers.

The stupidest kind of answer i got.. the phone is really good for the tag price it comes with. it could compete directly with even some high-end phones. the cons though is the music player, which is a bit wanting on the low frequency even after trying all the preset equalizer settings. they should have included a bass boost functionality. another thing would be the lack of at least a led flash for the camera. the camera does take good pictures, but it's useless under poor light conditions. also, there is the overall feel of the phone itself-- it feels very much like the remote control of my dvd player. well, for its price, how could you want more? i love the phone and it is the one i now use most of the time, taking the spotlight out of my motorola v3xx and e770.

Again, thi sunit does not have Bluetooth A2DProfile that is why you cannot listen to music on the bluetooth headset (only voice calls). So better request LG if they will release a firmware upgrade to support A2DP (provided the HW in the unit is A2DP ready)

Bing, I thought it was my problem too with regards to the socket while charging. You just need to push harder, 2 to 3 mm more. This is also applicable with the cable to PC. Hope this helps.

I think inclusion of PC installer and headset depends on the plan. I applied for post paid plan at Globe and both are included in the package. :-) I'm not sure about the extension plan or pre-paid kit. In any gadget purchase, I think one should ask someone in the know so as not to be shortchanged. Anyone knows where I can buy cheap 2GB sd for this phone?

Hi guys! LG KU250 is a great phone but i experienced just one small flaw in it. Its a little difficult using the phone while charging because the charger socket is easily detached from the phone's charger port in slight movements, & i guess that it would be the same problem with the using of the headset too since it uses the same port. So for those who are already ordering a headset, just prepare yourself for what you would encounter hehe.. bluetooth headset is much advisable. So far, the other sides are great! Loud speaker is truly loud! MP3 sound is very good with titles, artist, albums, & with many other personalized options. You can even minimize it (playing mp3 while texting). Mp3's can be used as ringtones & msg alert but only it is shortened in msg alert. Display is very good! Clear & soothing to the eyes. You can have a wallpaper or a screensaver on a standby mode, not like nokias & other wellknown phones. You can also adjust the size of a received picture to a fullscreen wallpaper display. Standby display items are changable & removebable. Camera is very good for a 1.3 megapix especially the front cam - you can zoom, adjust size & brightness & others.. just press the option & scroll to right or left then up & down. You can even record a video in it just like the back cam which beats many expensive dual cam phones! Very user friendly! Not much scrolling to do, just press numbers which lessens the wear & tear of the navigation key. Phonebook detail is very good! Its so easy to see the other number or details of a friend. You can even make a personalized cartoon image for them or simply use their picture that would appear slidely upon scrolling to their name. It alarms every hour even if the phone is off. Battery life is just an average. About 3 days- normal use. Charging time- 2hrs 30mins if batt is deep drained. SD cards- 2GB, no problem at all. Games- not many are compatible yet, only a few. Internet browsing & surfing is fast. You can set it to alert repeatedly in a selected number of mins if a message is not opened. You can set a picture of a friend, a wallpaper or a screensaver to appear when making a call. You can also set a video to play for incoming calls. You can change the text color & background color when making MMS. You can change the font size & color of a dialled number. You can select a picture & a sound to appear upon turning off & turning on. For those who are in a poor 3G signal location, just change your network mode to GSM, just go to network settings. You will have a difficulty in sending & receiving msgs & difficulty in making & receiving calls if you dont. Some of the above are not found in the owner's manual so you better explore your own. By the way, if you are looking for the manual keypad locking, just long press the C button. I have owned many phones- 5 nokias, 2 seimens, 1 sony e., 1 samsung, 1 LG & have experienced the use of many other phone models & i found LG KU250 to be the best of them all in each of its own time especially when talking about the price. I bought one of this from Globe, it's a good phone. But what really sucks is the java game compatibility, you cant play java games downloaded from globe. And the rates of the internet is 0.15/kb, thats expensive. And i havent tried using this as a modem, i got a pc suite but it requires a call number, i dont know what to do with it. My LG phone shuts down and there's no way of starting it up unless the battery is removed. To all those having problems browsing the internet using the phone try installing opera mini on your phones. It automatically configures the settings, as long as access points are properly defined. It displays web pages fast and it has a mouse pointer. Just type mini.opera.com/beta into the goto address and click on the download opera mini tab. Goodluck to all and happy surfing.

Hi guys! i just got this phone thru Globe's plan 800... the package included an LG PC suite cd installer, data cable, charger, headset, warranty card, and a manual... every feature in this phone is great although i havent tried using it as a modem... my only problem is... when i got this phone, the GLobe rep told me not to use an sd card with capacity that is more than 128mb... she said the phone will freeze or mag-ha-"hang". i was planning to get a 2gb MicroSD for it... i dont wanna waste money so, is it really possible use a 2gb card? does it really work?

Their 3g is the problem coz when I try to turn off the 3g and connect to the internet, it works but the speed is just like the ordinary modem(54.6 kbps).. Yes, LG KU250 sound is good, handy, and with good cam, too. But, I tried using the e-mail by e-mailing myself to my other e-mail add but when I checked my mail inbox, it was not sent. I thought it could be bought on 0% interest in Globe ctr but when I inquire their ctr in SM Bicutan. Personnel there told me it is not and they do not have stocks yet.

I bought my LG KU250 in Globe Center in Robinsons Galleria. I thought it could be purchased in 0% interest but only with selected credit cards so I made an outright purchase. The sound is good. However, the tx character allowed when u send a message is only 160 which of course is not practical so I found myself charging 2 sent messages per message I am sending.The main reason I bought this cel is to use it as a modem but I found difficulty in opening my browser even if it is already connected as I am being charged. I have tried it many times but still I can't open a page. Is there somebody here who could help me to open a page in the internet.

(on Smart Philippines network and using the KU250 as modem). Same here. It will connect every time, then just hung in there. Repeated disconnect-reconnect did not solve the problem. It's been that way for the past week, wonder if will ever be corrected by Smart. In the very RARE occassion that it works, it's a fine midium speed modem, but that is, if it's works. Maybe we should file complaints with SMART.

re: installing games if you have downloaded into your computer,just drag it to any of the folders in the memory card or using the pc suite, just drag it over onto the phone. The game has to then be installed using from the phone. browse to the others folder using the my stuff menu icon or go to your memory card then the folder you saved copied it in. Look for the .jar file and open it. The phone will then prompt you if you want to continue with the installation. once installed, DO NOT delete the .jar file because the phone will look for it every time the game is launched. hope this helps

there is another easy way of transferring MP3's and pictures... simply use the microsd adaptor and plug on your card reader, then pull up the folders when you want to place it... then presto... simply drag and drop it!!!.... try it!. headset na lang ang prob ko.

To my surprise since i have been using a post paid plan of 500 a month for more than 3 years now, i can already avail their rewards promo...options of gcash monthly or quarterly for 1 or 2 years or your choice nokia 5070 or lg ku 250 FOR FREE! wow!!!!! but ofcourse my line will be locked for another 2 years....well no problem. atleast i dont have to change my simcard/number etc and do all those hassle things to inform my friends of my new number. i chose this phone. i want to try other phone brands since ive been using nokia from the start. now im just waiting for globe's call regarding my FREE PHONE! thanks for sharing me the good news about this phone..i am now more than excited to replace my nokia 6270 with lg ku 250. [problem with nokia 6270 is the flex..just had it repaired and the flex was replaced..but only after 1 month and 4 days, its messing the display again.. :-( ]

your battery may have a problem or you did not charge it correctly. My battery lasts for three days with regular use. I bought my KU250 from Smart. You may download the LG PC Suite from here: I do not know if this will also work if you are using Globe but after downloading it, I was able to use my phone as a modem for internet and I was able to transfer files to and from my cellphone. Hope this helps.

Motorola has a 3g speed of 3.6 mbps Nokia/ SE and the rest only has only a 3g speed 384kbps. Does this really affect the 3G performance of the phone? When one is using the video call using a 3.6 mbps phone and the person is using a 384 kbps phone, does it affect the video calling?

got my unit last June 22 through a globe telecom postpaid plan. i like the phone though i'm still figuring out the features. My question is: does the phone come with software to install it on a pc? I have this phone for 3 weeks now. I purchased it from Globe. With regards to functionality, I'll give it a 9 out-of-10 rating. It doesn't have Infrared capability but not to worry, it's Bluetooth ready which is good. It does not have built-in games in it but what the heck that's fine. Also, you will have a hard time downloading games online and through your Network provider and don't even think about downloading games that are readily available on your provider's website because yea it will install it on your phone but you will not be able to play it. So it's a waste of money... It also doesn't have other themes on the phone so it's there's only one dafult theme and it's also hard to look for themes online. ( At least this is just for the meantime) And yeah, to lock the keypad, you just have to press and hold the C key up until it locks up. You can also disable the auto-keypad lock feature on one of it's menus. The navigator keys are very useful! You can also program the quick menu so you can easily access the menus you usually access. It doesn't have a shortcut button for the camera unlike the other phones. You can also multi-task on this phone so you can check your messages and open the calendar without closing the messages window. That's a pretty neat feature. I know the charger is hard to fit to the port and it looks like that it won't fit tightly, but you just need to push is hard enough up until you hear the "clicking sound". The camera is not that clear at night but during daytime, you can get the results for a 2 Mega-Pixel camera! The keypad is also good, not too tightly fitted just like other small phones around so it's less likely to get a sore finger when you like to text a lot. When you're turning on the unit, you just have to press the ON/OFF switch for one second and it will turn it on unlike other phones. If your gonna observe your phone closely, the sign for the "signal" of the Network Provider changes from the antenna sign, to the G sign, or 3G! That's pretty cool too! I also like the numbering of the menu and each and every submenu, you don't really have to scroll over the menu to get to the item that you want. It supports files with extensions:.mp3, .wav, .amr, .mid, .aac, .jpg, and .3gp. I'm not sure if it can support other files. It definitely supports 1GB of MICRO SD and can definitely support 2GB! Battery can last from 8 hours - 3 days if its fully charged and it depends on your usage. One other cool feature is the avatar on the contacts list! It's like YM! To easily delete a file, just press C but remember that you have to be on the list view to do that. With regards to the physical appearance of the phone, I'll give it a score of 8 out-of-ten. At first glance, you will not really appreciate the look of the KU250 but it really looks like a Sony-Ericsson phone! Overall, the phone is really great and it's a very big value for your money!

Yes, its a truly affordable and very useful phone. However, If you are planning to use its 384 kbps modem capabilities, buy this unit from smart. Globe does not have a configuration for the internet kit of the LG Pc suite. Even if they do, P0.15/kpbs charging by globe is a no no! What I don't like about this phone is the crappy camera functions. Ex. If you turn on the night mode and took pictures, if you close the application you will have to turn on the night mode function again!. and a missing "=" sign on the character menu. But all in all It's a good phone. I Hope there is a firmware revision available in LG Service centers for a fix.

Bought this cheap phone last week from Globe business center - don't regret buying it! I'm using it as modem for my laptop in areas with no hotspots. Hope though Globe will lower its rate of from the P0.15/kb right now to maybe something like P8.00/30mins. But the phone is a great buy!

I haven't tried this one but I usually like LG UI a lot, they are very easy to use and easy to guess - except maybe this locking keypad :) The risk with LG is that by making a cheap 3G phone, they make a possible slightly unstable device, though they improved a lot. I think I would wait a bit for SW updates before buying it

if phone operators want people to use 3G services, they should lower their charges and make it more affordable to their subscriber and improve their service also. coming out with a cheap phone is a good start but that will not encourage people if the service charge are expensive. and from what i have seen and observe, cellphones are like a status symbol. people are willing to buy the more expensive ones like nokia's n-series phone rather than let say a cheaper sony ericson k-something. but they are not using the 3g services coz the charges are expensive.
