I think the ones mentioning it being "buggy" all have something in common: it is happening after quite some time of usage. We don't know what apps were added - and sometimes there are write errors, especially if the phone suddenly turns off due to a drained battery. A good solution is to backup all data, either to the cloud or an SD card, (contacts etc.) and then to do a factory reset. Posting comments about "is" versus "are" is really retarded - not all people have the intelligence, education level, or native speaker skills of English-language countries.

Got this phone when I was 13 and had it for 3 years. First couple months it was wonderful. Performed great, had a pretty good signal, and was pretty good at multitasking. Then it started acting up, which was very annoying to have to deal with. The messaging app would sometimes force close and would not work again until you turned the phone on and off over 3 times. You could be typing a message and "the most recently used app" would CONSTANTLY pop up and wouldn't go away until you either went to the home menu or turned it off. The keyboard wouldn't always type the correct letter, and sometimes mid text the phone would go straight to the home menu and completely remove your entire text. Phone would keep telling you the storage space was full when it wasn't as well. Photo and video quality are quite horrible, and usually come out blurry and hard to see. I will admit that the battery life was pretty good, and could last a bit over a day if you listen to music and text constantly. Overall? Wouldn't recommend it. Sure the price is good and the design is okay, but the negative traits on it eventually weigh out the positive. More recent phones offer more to the user, and in the end it would probably be better to spend a bit more on a newer model and have it last longer and keep your interest than to buy this one.

This phone is great (for the price) for only about $50/$60 USD/CAD, this phone does alot for the price, if it were more then the price above, it wouldn't be worth it due to its low RAM, small screen, low pixel density and 600MHz CPU, but for the price, this makes it worth it, good phone for those of you looking to get a basic starter Android smartphone, this making Android the best OS that's affordable and open to everybody, but I will admit, it DOES run an old outdated 2010 Android, Froyo 2.2

WiFi keeps disconnecting automatically after completing authentication process. Any ideas what might be wrong? Computer is successfully accessing WiFi as we speak.

I used it about 6-12 month and it was starting to back home. It like than I press on button back, home, search all the time and get out of the apps very often. My sister and her husband had the same cellphoe... same problem... I think there are a bug on this phone

Excellent keyboard and battery life, lasted 2-nearly 3 days with regular use. This was my first phone and I loved it when I first got it, worked great and excellent for texting. Year and a half later need a new phone. Screen is completely shot, unresponsive, and nothing works. The first 6-8 months was awesome, after that it started glitching all the time. Great phone for cheap, I'll miss it, but overall a pretty sucky phone.

Augh mine does the same thing and it is driving me nuts.. ive taken care of mine quite well , but it is over a year old now.. time for a new phone. Also it seems to be getting progressively worse....

I've already posted a review on this phone last year. For the past... I'm going to say... 6 months or so, this phone has been annoying sometimes. I'd be messaging and then it shows me this apps screen.. so I press back, and it goes back but then the app screen comes on again!! This doesn't stop unless I actually press the messaging app, but its annoying how it just keeps coming on. I tried turning it off and taking the battery out, but it still goes on! Sometimes I feel like I want to get a new phone, but I've only had this one for about a year and a couple months... I don't want to give up on it now. This app thing is just terrible when I'm in the middle of texting, sometimes I can't even turn off my phone because it does it!

I've owned this phone for almost 2 years and I enjoyed owning this phone. However, like some other touch screens, overuse, mistreatment and (water, etc.) damage will cause the phone to mess up. So long as you treat the phone properly, the screen and other features will work like it should. What was nice about the phone was that the keyboard made texting and other methods of communication very easy to do. However, after a long period of owning, I found the screen very hard to control as it would jam up or start messing up, even if you don't touch it.

I own this phone and i was stoked that i baught it for my self after like 4 weeks its started glitching and i never dropped it at all it sucks so much they need to discontinue this phone and not allow any one to buy it sucks that much it cant do anything so i got an iphone

This is by far the absolute worst phone I've ever had. Like many people have said, they love it for awhile, but then absolutely hate it. I'm no different. This phone should of never come to stores. Like seriously, if your gonna make a phone. Make a few to start give them to people to try for a year or so, and do a review, god, I'm only 24 yrs old, not gone to university and I've figured that out. I'm having the same problems, plus connection problems, not sure if that is the phone or service provider. Either way save your money. Get the est phone and service out there.

Switched from an LG Keybo to this phone last December... And at first I LOVED the phone, but now I absolutely hate it. It will randomly close me from my apps (ESPECIALLY MESSAGING) and the Messaging app will constantly crash. My brother has the exact same phone with more apps etc on it and doesn't experience ANY of the problems I have... I WANT MY KEYBO BACK!

I've had this phone for almost two months by now and its so glitchy! I knew it was 3 years old and out of date but I never expected it to start randomly stop showing my menu and everything I'm getting a new phone pronto this week! I'M WARNING U DON'T GET THIS PHONE TOTALLY NOT WORTH IT!

I am having the same problem while texting and calling. The phone jumps around from screen to screen. I have tried task killing apps, and turning the phone off, but still the same problem. Any suggestion on how to fix this issue? I have only had the phone for a short while and hate it already.

I have had nothing but problems with this phn. I have talked to lg about issues with forced closing while texting, and they told me they have had no issues regarding this matter. But, after reading these reviews, i can see they were lying. I would strongly recommend not buying this phn unless you want headaches and high blood pressure.

this phone is not the best if u compare it to a blackberry or i phone its not very good but for kids and for your first phone it is great.i have it and i know that everyone complains about the battery but my battery is fine.one thing though it has not much space on it and cant hold alot of data. but other than that this phone is AWSOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

I had a keybo for 4 years and decided I needed a change. I definitely needed a phone with a keyboard and so the Optimus was an option. I've had my optimus phone for about 7 months now and I love it. The battery lasts me about 2 days, 3 days if I barely use it. It all depends on what you do with it, if you're playing games all day then yeah its going to die fast, every phone is like that. Sometimes its slow if I've had it on for weeks, I turn it off now and then. The only thing I dislike is how easily scratched the back gets, I have a screen protector on the front but the back is full of little scratches. The rotation of the screen sometimes is off but other than those few things, I couldn't ask for a better phone. (:

i think this is a pretty good phone!! its nice an basic and does what a phone basically needs to do and WELL!!! the battery life may not be the best but just charge every night and you'll be good!! I've had this phone for three weeks and i would definitely recommend it!!

I ended up with this phone more or less by accident because of problems with my Optimus One, so I'm not really the target market for a phone like this. That said, I can barely stand it. The only good point is the physical keyboard, which is great for email and texting. Otherwise? It's slow and buggy, it doesn't run some Android apps that do run on the Optimus One, it doesn't synch with Gmail properly and it can take hours for my email to actually get through, and even the basic phone functions are screwy. It's way too easy to accidentally hang up or push keys with your face while talking, and you need a computer science degree to do stuff as simple as punching in your voicemail password. Can't recommend this model, and just can't wait to replace it.

I honestly hate this phone.Everytime im texting it will randomly go to home menu and then google search.Or sometimes my keyboard doesent even work its the 3rd or 4th time i reset it and its only been 5 months i have it.I got it in january and it worked perfectly fine and now its just being stupid im thinking about getting a new one or getting this one fixed!?!?!

I have the lg optimus chat. Its good for social ntworks and the free wifi but its not the greatest for gaming. Its kinda slow and glitchy with games and it dosnt hold a lot of games either but I would still recomend this phone

I just got this phone about a month ago and I really like it because its so easy to use and I haven't had any problems with it...... the only bad thing about it is how short the battery life is, it usally only lasts me about a day or 2 but I just plug it in every night. So yea I think that u should get it:)!!

I have had it for a few months. It sucks. When im texting it will force close, or when i use the 'e' key it will go to email, or sometimes 's' doesn't even work, to resolve that i have to turn off and back on which takes more than 2 minutes.. I am not impressed

Hey, has anybody had any problems with the texting of the phone? My previous phone broke, so I bought this one to replace it, but now the text messages go up to 20 per conversation and then I need to force close the text messaging application. And, I can't open the application until a turn off and on my phone, then delete all messages. It is starting to make me a bit angry. As well, I sent it in to the store about 4 times now, and they never could find out what is the problem. They just did system updates, and never tried to fix the phone. And the phone came back the same as we sent it. So I am wondering if anybody has had this problem as well, and how did they fix it?

I have had this phone for about a month and a half. Love it to bits. Getting onto the photo albums can be really slow sometimes but now i cant get onto it at all!!!! If i want to view pics I have to plug it into my computer. Plus now the pics are fuzzy!!!! Not very good!!!!!!!!!!

I love the phone but at times it can be slow and occasionly on certain apps will crash and you need to force close. ITs a great phone for texting, multimedia, games and social networking. The main problem I find is the battery life; if like me you are on it a lot, ie texting facebooking gaming etc then it uses up battery life quickly, it needs to be charged at least once a day. However there are some tricks to help maintain your battery,you can download a battery app that helps maintain all your running apps in the background etc which seems to help, also keep checking on app manager on ur phone and stop all running apps because a lot of the time the phone runs apps you don't really need. Also another good thing to have, for those who only want to use wifi and not be charged, download the free APN app and keep it on the home page and turn it off,this way it stops the phone using your gprs when it doesn't get internet connection, so no hidden charges. I think with using these handy tricks, you can really enjoy this phone! Hope it helps x

Personally, I don't think it's the best. I got mine in august and it's gone out for repair. There are breaks in calls, the texting does not funtion as it should... which it funny considering it's a CHAT phone. I also get a force close msg when trying to text every now and again, which means I can't even open the app. Also, while texting off the touch screen the "buttons" stick and it'll mess up what you're typing, when you hit the back space, it whipes out the entire text you just entered. I got a loaner phone (less than a week ago) while mine's out, and I've already begun to experience the same problems....

It only has 320x240 and not 320x480. Only QVGA resolution. Poor resolution but screen brightness is ok indoor.

Yes, all of the above questions are Yes. It can multitask. It is great for an 11 year old (full qwerty keyboard for quick texting) And it has 32GB available for storage. That's a huge amount of music you can store on it. 32GB microSD cards on Ebay can go as low as $35 USD. Source: User of phone. I think it works really well.

I don't know what video you saw, but I got this phone three days ago and there is no wire hanging off the back. It is a sleek pohone. Unless the phone was plugged in while the video was being recorded, there is no wire.

they say that this is the most affordable android phone with a slide touch design, i have seen this and its gorgeous and very sturdy, doesn't wobble and it doesn't lag at all, very tactile software it is. i hope they release it ASAP in the phil.
