LG Stylo 5 - User Reviews

  • So you are posting a review of a phone you haven't even tried, until you use just forget posting reviews, or are you working for a different phone manufacturer

  • Bought the stylo 5 about 6 hrs ago after my 2 yr old crushed my galaxy s10. Realized with the kids outsmarting an otterbox, it might be a better bet to go cheaper. Its everything i need. I play a lot of games on the phone and so far only 1 lags using this phone compared to the S10. The speakers are not the best. Usable for audiobooks or low sound kids lullabys at bedtime, but if i wanted to listen to music I would have to find my Alexa and use that instead or go purchase headphones. We have, of course, already lost the stylus. The few hrs I had it, were....awkward. Mostly because I'm just not used to it. It uses the type c port. Yay! My galaxy s10 chargers will work on this phone, no need to buy a new car charger or second house charger since i can use what i have. The bad is that it will not charge on the wireless charger that i have. Love the screen. Its nice and big for shows and multitasking. If i can get this phone to last a year, I wont go back to the galaxy and will stick with LG.

  • Ive been a stylo user since the Stylo 2 and love the stylus. No it ain't a high end phone it serves its purpose for cheap. I personally have better things to spend my money on than $1000 on a phone cause I don't use one that much.

  • I just bought this phone 2 weeks ago and I am already out of space on my internal storage while I still have 31 GB left on my SD card. unable to find a setting that would allow me to use my SD card as internal memory storage. Highly disappointed and wondering how a stone could be sold with 15 gigs of pre installed apps, could be so inconsiderate as to not allow us to use this up to 1tb of space for the overload of apps taking up the internal storage.

  • But it's a fail. There are only 13 fans of this model. A little more effort could make this one successful. A 4000 mAh battery, an SD 6XX SoC, and a decent camera. That's all. It has a price point of 200 Euro and anyone cash buy a better service from Xiaomi, moto or realme or oppo with this money.

  • It is a mid-range handset - that is why it is being given away free. It is not a Galaxy Note, not is it trying to compete with that model. It is a competent, nicely-designed phone with a "screen pen", NFC (for my T-Mobile version), plenty of storage (along with supporting up to 2TB microSD, which even the Galaxies don't seem to support), a nice wide-HD screen, and stable, smooth performance - what else are you expecting from a sub-$200 phone? This is definitely a nice upgrade from my (still perfectly functional) Stylo 3!

  • Designed beautifully but poor specs

  • TO Any LG Representative; When will this LG phone coming to Saudi Arabia. Do you have a sales outlet / store or showroom in Jeddah, with your latest phone model???

  • "Stylo", from which "stylus" was derived when the term was invented for PDA's, originally comes from French - it means "Pen"

  • good pun.. but stylo it's actually coming from the stylus ;)

  • It's too bad manufacturers other than Samsung don't take a pen more seriously... this is just a joke.

  • You truly have no clue. Tons of advanced techies use mid and entry level phones

  • So basically they did this to produce another phone to force you to buy

  • It has both, the page just needs updated

  • LG engineers never read these pages ! ::)))

  • I'm a old ! LG Q Stylus+ user and far superior to LG Stylo 5 ! :( why ???

  • I see 8 and k40 Its the only brand who haw in my native language web page. Look how many phones they haw made, it should be good, not from chaina. Phone calls are not my priorities. Its waiste off money.

  • What do you mean? The stylo series was never really intended to be bought unlocked. It is mostly targeted towards western consumers that want a $0 (FREE) phone on selected plans. So when people "buy" this phone, they are mostly choosing it because of the good cell phone plan deal, not because of the phone itself.

  • No compass and gyro?

  • Why are they even trying?...

  • LG W10/W30 Series are a good mid-range phone with good price

  • 3GB RAM, Snapdragon 450 -> nogo! its 2019, whatever the other specs android needs 4GB+ to run "okay". My Pixel 3 did stutter with 4GB and that phone has vanilla android, LG will cramp in its own UI on top of vanilla to slow it down even more. Also why bring an entry tier phone above 6"? You know who uses entry tier phones: kids, grandparents, people with a disability. I got all three in my family, they all got entry tier phones and they all can't grab a phone sized larger than 5,5"...well or they drop it like every day. This phone is not recommendable to anyone sadly, too big to call or write messages, specs too low to play games, ROM too small to consume media, camera too bad to take average photos with. Better get hold of a mid range phone from last year.

  • 5MP front camera is too tiny for a 2019 smartphone. The ram is also a bit tiny. Still makes for a nice smartphone.

  • Stylo... looks like not too much style.

  • Very poor specs overall. Better keep in the shelves. Don't know what LG is thinking on this phone.

  • To be honest, I'm a bit disappointed. If these specs prove to be true, the only upgrade here is more RAM and a bigger battery. The cameras are even the same! Come'on LG. The stylo series is one of your last few popular handsets. I know your mobile division is struggling but, releasing minor updates like this will only hasten it's demise.

  • SD 660 and 6gigs of RAM is asking way too much for just 250. SD636 with 3 or 4gigs of RAM, waterproofing, 4000mah battery, 12 or 16MP cameras and a second wide angle camera would be great at 300 dollars.

  • So lg stylo 5 plus should be 6.5 to 6.7 inch, should come stylo 5 plus along side.

  • Lg since ur Lg G3 and G5 i truly didnt see any better phone yet flagship or mid or starter one cant u just put 4gb 3800mha and gorilla glass 3 and snapdragon 660 and 6 gb one with 4000mha snapdragon 710 and 64 gb for 250$ with these price its gonna be well played

  • 160mm whats going on here?!

  • Very nice symmetrical shape, even the top and bottom bezels are relatively thin. But the whole phone is so large... I wish they would make a phone like this at ~60 mm wide. It would still be close to a 5" screen, so it's fine for everyone but the gamers.
