I had the same problem when I first bought my lg t5100 2 years ago. Froze up frequently, now after 2 years my phone is totally unusable because the screen has lines on it or is just white.Freezes up totally when this happens.Crap phone, wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

to use internet using t5100 u need to first install the driver of that phone on your pc once u installed the driver. than connect your phone to the pc using datacable(com)port. than create the dial up connection on your pc. once u created dial up connection using dial-up u can connect your pc to internet. note: (1)make sure the required service is activated in your mobile phone. (2)while creating dial up modem select lgt5100 is your modem to connect

I've had this phone for about 6 months. Good Things: Good features, camera with flash, mp3 player, usb connection and good screen. Bad things: microphone/speaker broke, very bulky, no Mp3 ringtones and not very up to date with the design of menu etc.

omgg.. i've had this phone for almost 2years.. it's really a crap phone i've been using!! i got the problem of lagging after a while of typing sms.. it turns black and the screen went off too! it doesnt have bluetooth and infrared too! the bluetooth and infrared functions only start to work with LG to LG phones.. memory is so small that it has space of only up to 5songs and a few pictures. that's it for the memory! im fine with the 1.3 megapixel camera. now.. i cant wait to change to another new phone which has all the opposites functions of this LG T5100! as im typing this msg here, im getting more and more agitated with this phone! i've sent it for repair twice but it still fail to perform well!! THINK THRICE BEFORE BUYING THIS! if you want, can always feel free to buy from me!

I have LgT5100 and i am very happy with him. This is very good mobile phone but someone don't know how to use this phone. 1. When i set 1280*940 - the pictures are briliant.(but when i set for example 320*240 then the pictures are not good , but it's normal) 2.The mp3 player is very good 3.Someone don't know how to transport the pictures,mp3,and video from mobile to computer or from computer for mobile. TO transport - you must install the drivers and software and you must have a Usb data transport cabel. 4.The phone have screensaver,flash light,video player ,infrared port, and i am very happy with him.

I think I've had this cellphone for about a year now and there is still no problem. The java and wallpapers I have on my phone are all uploaded from my computer. Until now (july 2006) It's still working well.

I have the LGT5100 which I bought in Malaysia in April 2005. The screen went blank after 6months and haven't been able to use it since. Is there a way this can be fixed? I understand there is a connecting cable linking to the screen which is not functioning. What can I do. I need assistance to replace the cable if possible. Thanks. Chris from Ghana.

I have bought Lg one month back. I am not able to synchronise it with Pc. Even the service centre in Kolkata had hell of difficuty in connecting it at their works. Back home I am sad for I can't use it on Pc. Do anybody have any solution?????.

just recently my T5100 has gone from moderatly slow to a really annoying slow phone. Plus how do u set an MP3 to a ringtone. I mean this is a bit of a jokes of a phone, it doesnt even let me upload movie clips!!

i'm not sure if this is problem on my phone only, but it's really slow!! it's killing me. for example with typing in text, it starts off ok, and then it's really laggy!! it annoys me so much. also, when the backlight turns off, when i haven't pressed any buttons for an amount of time, when i do press a button, the screen turns off for 30 seconds, before coming back on!! the seller said that it wasn't a problem - that all phones with similiar functions are this slow, but is it? the camera is ok, sometimes very blurry, or with crap results in bad lighting, but is ok i guess. the fact that it doesn't have bluetooth, does annoy me too.

I hate this phone. It takes the worst pictures Ive ever seen for a megapixel phone, Ive read many reports and it is just hopeless. The memory is not enough for anything including the mp3 player. The sound on the mp3 player through the headset is even dissapointing. The loudspeaker even distorts, and it says that in the manual. The OS is very slow, it is at its very worst when loading up images and the mms inbox, and what bugs me the most is, when typing a txt message, after about the 3rd line, it takes absolutely light years to even type a word! God damn, its a huge bulky piece of hollow plastic that weighs a tone and feels like ass in my pocket. No one can hear what im saying on the phone, because the bloody reciever is up next to the lense of the cam! and to top it off, the reception is weak. And whats with Pocket Athlete! my god.... I like the swiveling screen, but it gets wobbly after a while. The only things I like about this phone is the screen clarity, thats it. Geez, i wonder who got fired after this phone was released. Im now swapping to a Sony Ericsson k750i, hot.

Yeh, i got this phone just recently, and i have to say, i'm a lil disappointed. wif the memory being about....27mb? it can't really store much mp3, and the mp3 player is therefore not much use. the pictures taken are not very good quality at all. in slightly dim lighting, the pictures are grainy and blurred, with a very annoying colour distortion. the phone is huge, and heavy, even after considering the megapixel feature. however, it is a decent phone...the turning scene is pretty neat, and it does actually look like a camera. but yes...very big...and the camera is not that great.

I think it's a great phone, but it has to many problems.. One of my problems with the phone is the connection with the computer, it won't work.! The infrared won't work, and often people can't heare me while I'm talking to them in the phone! I got it half a year a go, and it has alreday been re-programed and had several reperations, all on the garantee. If someone knows something I can download or do with the computer-connection, pleas shear it with us.. Thanks!

I love this phone! I got it about 6 months ago it does so well. You can have up to about 25,000KB of video, mp3 and photos on ur phone. It stores 100 sms in your inbox at atime. You can have 255 contacts stored on your phone phonebook and 200 on your sim card. I think that might depend what sim card you have. Its a really good phone and now i cant stop taking photos!! You just wanna snap all teh time. Theres only a little bit of trouble for when i want to load my movies and photos on the computer, it never works. I had to install it to another computer and then send them here. Enjoy!!

I bought this phone a week ago and have not yet had any problems with it. I've found it to be a very good phone and the features on it are also very good. The camera works great and takes very clear pictures, especially when outside. The MP3 player also works well and can go very loud. The software that came with it is very simple and easy to use. I really like this phone and would recommend people to buy it.

I love the phone alot :). Bought it very cheap on internet... The pictures it makes are of very fine qualitiy compared to other mobile phone camera`s. Putting mp3-files on it can only be done with the USB cable.

I was very happy to see the phone in an add but when i purchased one i came to know that what i was thinking was wrong it has a very bad camera and the best part is that when you want to download a poly ringtone you will have to spend around 500Rs to call all different people. and finally when you reach the correct person he says that the sofware has to be downloaded which is not preinstalled. It is really amazing that a customer has to pay 13000 Rs to buy this phone and it is not fully loaded. I am very unhappy with the phone. T.David

I purchased this phone for availing GPRS facilities. But regret to tell that I am not able to connect it to my LAP top for surfing.One cann't configure its Irda port for internet connectivity.Its software does not permit this. This is the costliest phone in LG's product stable and it has not given any facilities for connectivity through USB data cable. It requires a serial port for internet connectivity & no lap top now a daya comes with serial port.If the LG people does not solve my problem, I am not going to purchase any items from LG in future.

i was using a t5100 which was imported from gulf. The problem what i faced was that after using for 15 hours that means about 3 months later my mobile camra was not working and it was showing a negative shade. later i reported the same to the authoriszed service center the responce what i got from there was very bad they took almost 3 weeks to get my job done later the bill came t0 3000 indian rs where it cost u the same of a manual camera in india. i asked the concern person about the problem he told me it was due to folding phone. later i gave the phone for 5000 india rs where i brought for 13000 indain rs. Later i understood that lg is not having any resale value in Indian market. As i said early i sold the same and brought nokia higher end model where i am happy now. i advice to everyone that not to go for a lg mobile any make

i tested the T5100 and it's not good...i wont even trade my Sony Ericsson t610 over it. there no way you can send pictures from your pc to your phone...either via Infra red or USB even if you use it's own software..you can send only mp3's and that's it...what's good if you have a colored phone but cant share pictures economically? LG...BAd...very bad.

I just bought this phone off of ebay for $330. I hadn't read these comments before hand, though, and i wish i had. I'm only 14 and was looking for something cheaper than my original phone (V600, motorola) which phone is better? and seeing as im younger, would i still enjoy this phone even if u guys say its crappy? coz i don't need all those special feature things.

As common as most LG phones, the phone comes with two batteries. It also have a serial cable and a USB cable. USB one is for transfering MP3s and Serial cable is more for synchronizing. There is no expansion slot and the onboard memory is a little too pathetic for a MP3 Phone. The quality of the MP3 playback isn't that fantastic as Motorola E398. However I'm contented with the quality as Stereo Earpiece in the package. It is almost not possible to transfer data from this phone to others as there is almost no connectivity. The Infra-red is not working right. Files cannot be transferred to other phones with this infra-red. Without the existence of Bluetooth makes it worse. Video is above average but the photo quality is one of the worst among mega-pixel phones. Here's the conclusion: Pros: Stylish Looking Good Resolution MP3 Playback 1.3Mega-pixel Camera Camcorder Cons: No Bluetooth Incapability of Infrared No expansion slot Insufficient Onboard memory Advice: If finacially allows, get a better phone. However, this is still an excellent phone if a person wouldn't mind with just one or two MP3s on the phone and some videos and pictures.

IT DOES HAVE AN MP3. However, Mp3s cannot be set as ringtones, as ffar as I can tell. Memory is apx 30mb, you can only fit about 5 songs on it. Price-450$AUS, which is what I bought it new for. Comes with handsfree.

This phone is the worst on the market right now. The quality of the supposed 1.3 mega pixel camera is useless if it is an actual true 1.3 mega pixel shot then others must be 4. mega pixel. I compare this camera to the quality of digital cameras when they first appeared on phones.... very low. The second flaw is as a phone it is very difficult to use as the microphone is very weak and often faulty. Put simply you spend the majority of your conversations through a hands free kit so you can be heard. Amazing that a mobile phone can have such a obvious fault. Screen and overall design are good, the faults really bring it down. i strongly recommend that no one buy this phone because as a mobile phone it is very bad and as a digital camera it is also very bad.

Bought this phone recently,not 2 bad..quite user friendly,but lacks bluetooth.Tested to upload some pics to my pc,and the images is quite good..compared to 7610,the images is slightly sharper and the contrast is better.But 2bad,the mp3 cant set as ringtone.Other than that,this phone looks cool.With the same price as 6260,i will go for this

I got this phone and just a couple of day it play up on me. some time the screen just not response e.g it not lid up no matter what I did. Somtime it lid up by itself. YES 1.3 megapixel sound cool hey?? Try take a picture & transfer it to your pc and see it for yourself the quality at maximum is so crappy just like a 640 x 480 that has been digitally zoomed up. I am very dissapointed with this. I had an LG u8120 before and I smashed it into the wall because after 2 week I could not turn the phone on again. why the nokia,sams,s.er,and moto,have a good distribution all over the world and other like alcatel,sagem,lg,nec,sharp did not?I'm from romania i have an excelent sagem MYX-7sen't from UK and now 07.01.2005 you have mix8 lgt5100 alcatel.765etc.and here in romania these phones did not exist?we didn't have the s.myx-7 even others so .... gentleman romania have a 21 mil.people and almost14.mil.mobile users so please review your marketting direction!!!

LG T5100 is a nice phone. It can compete with Mitsubishi M900 but the only flaw is that it doesn't have a memory card slot........

The quality on pictures and videos is REALLY good! I have never seen better quality on a mobile phone... Must be some of the best mobile phones you can get at that price right now, I would say. The first day I had it, I ran out of battery while using it between 10 O'clock until 20, one word: ENJOY;)

It has MP3 and I have been using the phone for a couple of days. It's a good phone, just that the MP3 players ... holds about 4-5 songs only ... my rating for this LG 8.5/10

oh no...just get to know that the camera of this fone is attached to the screen and the camera can only turn when u close/open the screen....however, the screen is able to rotate and the camera can still be able to use easily...like a normal digi camera

hey COCO LEE!! we never use bluetooth..coz, we don't need..we just use for..buy stock,on-line shopping,watching video,take pic,video..etc..every time the mobile phone is on our hand!! so..we don.t need bluetooth....:-)

Beautiful phone! I love the big LCD and key buttons! Although there's no expandable memory, I think it has built-in 96MB. A nice alternatives to Sony Ericsson S700. :-)
