Don't know when u posted this, but if you're under Verizon, they have all your contacts stored in their computer. Go to the nearest dealer and they should be able to d-load all your number back to your phone.

Dear Shamrat, You can put TF / Micro SD card in the slot located at the right side of the phone under the handsfree slot. "T-Flash" is inscribed on the slot cover. Just remove the cover using you finger-nail and insert the card, it will install automatically. Hope that helps

I think this phone is pretty good.(i think)but i have some problem: 1.when i'm writing a text message,its very laggy,i mean it is delay.. 2.when i'm using bluetooth,sometimes it says"Bluetooth Busy"but i'm not using it at all. 3.also the bluetooth sometimes cant send or recieved..on the other phone it says"sending failed" but the features of this phone is good..XD

Hi, having trouble receiving songs from other phones when using Bluetooth. When the other person pairs up with my phone and tries sending they get a message saying "sending failed". I have this phone and wanted to put a microSD card into it. I saw a special on a Sandisk Micro SD 2GB & reader package for $30 from JB-HIFI. The phone did not recognise it at all, it was as if it wasn't even installed. In short, I decided to keep the 2GB for when I get a new phone and purchased a 1GB from JB-HIFI for $15 which WAS recognised and works perfectly. So, therefore 1GB is the maximum for this phone and the 2GB will NOT work at all, even though some sites 'suggest' that it will when you google, etc and see U8360 as 'supported' next to the 2GB which I will state again as FALSE. A good phone, good battery life and features.

Hi I have just got a LG U300. I have installed the phone manager that came on the cd. I have read all the instructions about connecting the phone to my PC using the USB cable. Everything seems to be connected A OK except when I select a COM Port - I don't have one with a * star next to the number. I have tried connecting using a couple of various ones but none seem to work. What does it mean when I don't have a COM Port with a star next to it!? Please help!

Ok.. some of you hate that phone.. some others don't :-) I have it for around 2-3-4 months (I took it from a friend of mine) and I still have no problems with the PHONE itself. LG had made a good phone for talking - battery live is pretty good (it's ~1400 mAh .. :D . My pocket PC has 1300 mAh batter..). The bluetooth is with it's own opinion about the connection and if you want this phone connected to the PC you'll have to have at least IQ over 300 (lol I'm kidding) . But it's a bit of a mess. Sometimes it works with no problems.. but sometimes.. it just says that your COM port is not OK.. and that's all :D If you want to use this phone mostly for talking - it's perfect.

I had this model almost for one year and a half. The phone is ok but it is annoying the external antenna. The MP3 player is ok but the sound doesn't have the necessary volume. The camera is not so great. Could be better.

Lg u8360 is a smart mobile . I bought it on 09-2005 and i didn't find better than it. But, i can't use it's web as etisalat and vodaphone didn't support it . This is my problem. iam very interesting about lg phones especially,lg kg920 but i didn't find any informations about it .

this fone is not very good the fone is flimsy when you flip it open and has no spring to it you need to push it all the way open to be able to get it open. i would suggest a fone like the nokia 6085 which has all the functions except for it has a VGA camera:)

hey people, i brought this phone a few months ago. Its a worth while investment. The camera is clear and great for self portraits. The only problem is if u have the camera resolution on 1.3 mp (1280x960) you cant use the zoom or multi shot options. The MP3 is pritty good too. But it takes along time to get songs on it. I only suggest to buy this phone if you live in a 3G area. Otherwise u cant browse the good net and calls cost ALOT more. I Have this phone and hav had it for over a year now, i used to have the same problem connecting the phone to my PC, a bit tricky but then i worked it out. 1. connect it via USB and open the Phone Manager. 2. In preferences tab up the top click on COM Port. 3. Find the port that is ticked and click on it. (even though its ticked doesnt mean its the port its trying to connect to. 4. Make sure ur phone is at the home screen i.e press the red end call button so u can see ur background pic. 5. Click connect and sync away. Hope this helped :)

these phones are really good, their very cute and fashionable.. their better than the old 3 phones and their better than a slide up phone because slide up phones break very easy, like if u drop them or get sand or dirt accidently in them it makes them very hard to slide up. flip phones are the most common and the best, they look the nicest and they are very hard to break. i reccomend this phone. Can't pause Java apps, or listen to music while using Java apps. The aerial! ugly. You can't change the function of the softkeys. MP3 Player volume doesn't go high enough No shuffle function for MP3 Player Pros: Fantastic screen - Both Expandable memory - Hot swappable Camera - brilliant for its resolution Loudspeaker Reception - So much better than my old samsung x640 Reading txt messages on outside screen - I use it all the time! Good battery Back casing - Easy to remove, but doesn't come off by itself. Stereo Headphones - Volume control on them! Video playback - Love the fullscreen feature. this is to the person 'WONDERING' yes a 2gb card would heavily slow the fone down, a 1gb slows the phone down bad, a 512mb slows the phone down little bad and the 256 slows it down only selecting the files that have lots stored in them for me its sounds that has 33 files in it, when u want to pick it its slowsa down for 4 seconds then goes on it. and 128mb will just make it rune fine

ok every one that cant put stuff from ur pc on ur phone simple after installing lg phone manager from the installation cd u get with the phone open that and connect your phone then opent the lg phone manager up, it now should come up with a screen with a phone on it click contents on the left side of the page then it should come up with a screen up top of the page click transfer then it should say set com port clik the com port* with the star and tick usb. then ok it then go back to transfer and click connect it should say on ur phone connected. Now whatever u want to put on the phone locate it not on the lg phone manger but on ur pc and double it by puttin the mp3 or image on the desktop now whatever u put on ur phone must be doubled or else u lose it off ur pc and on to ur phone. now back on the lg phonemanger on the left side should be like desktop and stuff click my computer on it then lg phone then it should say card if you have one or image sound video click the folder which u want to store whatever u want then back to whatever file ur puttin on the phone drag that to the folder u selected and wala its on then the file on the desktop you doubled earlier put that back where u found it. Then to finish up clik transfer then disconnect. You have sucessfully transfered a file to ur phone im sorry if this sounds complicated but it works. Lg u8360 rox buy this phone and only get a 256mb card a 512 makes it run slower, camera good video good bluetooth good everything else is good.

hello all, i have the answer 2 ur promlems about connecting da phone to da computer well first if you want 2 put music games etc. on your phone you need a transflash memorycard for your phone Aud$30 now you can get stuff on your phone first put the transflash in the bigger holder that comes with it then put it in your camera ( which doesnt come wif the phone ) connect it to the computer and it opens up good luck :)

I bought the LG U8360 unlocked on Ebay. I'm in the US so, I had to change the settings to my carrier (T-Mobile). It is a very good phone. The outer color screen can look distorted sometimes, depending on the angel your viewing from, but it takes very good pictures and videos. The mp3 is great. The speaker is loud and clear. I have only two complaints. 1) While using the speaker phone with an active call, you can not close the phone. 2) The calculator does not offer a % function. Both of these are useful and should be standard on a phone with so many other high end features. My other phone is the Motorola V635, it has the % function and you can close the phone while engaged with an active speaker call, but I didn't care the call history and it's mp3 player is not so good. Overall the LG U8360 is a very good phone and I would reccomend it. :)

if you want to transfer pictrures or mp3's through the usb you should try installing all th programs until it works, also try changing the ports in the phone manager, eventually it will work... Ok so my problem, my phone is a little slow(retarded) everything works ok but it has takes a lot of time for it tho think so the loading(please wait) screen appears often...what can I do 'bout this?

This is an awesome phone for the price you pay (ie $200). Its honestly got features packed into phones that are easily +$400 such as the Motorolla v3x. Anyway, I got it about 2 weeks ago and its working great. btw, how to activate the Winows Media Player function? In the statistics it states that there is no mp3 ringtone. But Dont be alarmed. IF u put an mp3 onto ur phone and then press options and select sound theme > then select voice ringtune or video ringtune and the next time u get rung the mp3 u have selected will play.

All u have to do after installing the PC Sync and the LG Phone Manager is restart ur phone then connect it TO the usb. Then Go to the phone manager and press connect. It should now connect

I want to say that beside the look, mp3 and bluetooth this phone sucks. - The 1.3mp camera sucks (photos or video have very poor clarity) - The flash is too close tot the camera and all the pictures are very bright, and can't see anything - Writing an SMS is a hard thing because the keyboard lags (it's from the software i think) - You can't change themes, sick of the same looks I'm selling it and get a Nokia, they rock

I own this phone for 2 months & I can say it's an all-in-1 package, even concerning the affordable price. It's a fantastic piece from LG(keep it up LG!!). The only flaw I found is about loading JAVA applications, it's not impossible but you got to find the GThing s/w, etc.. Else, I recommend it.

Tried today _1GB_ Transflash It works PERFECTLY. I just have to do some more tests to fill the card up to its limit (tried only with 100Mb), but I am almost sure that there will be no problem at all. I have 2 of this phone. A black & a silver. and like it's features, but i hv one issue with it. The signal keeps droping, but this could be due to the carrier. I got one of them exchanged just yesterday because it was freezing up on me. Caller ID comes from the caller itself. If they set their options to something like don't display number, then it comes up with 'no caller id'. SD (Tflash) card can support up to 512 mbyte. Not a bad phone for an LG. I work with mobile phones every day and this is currently the ONLY LG handset, that I wouldn't mock somone for owning (well.... not much anyway). I can't say much about the camera or how good it is at actual calls, but it does have considerably more power in it than any of the other LG's I've worked on, so it can hold it's own whilst running some pretty intensive games. For those of you who want to put games onto it without buying GThing or using wap, it is possible with the USB cable and a memory card (or memory card and card reader). If your using the usb cable, make sure the memory card is inserted into the phone, then use the Phone manager from the official LG PC suite. Connect to the phone, and you should be able to see several directories, including one alled card (the memory card). From there, there should be a subdirectory called 'Other', simply drag the games Jar file into this directory, then disconnect. Then you can use the phone to access the memory card ("external memory" section under "My stuff") and click the file you coppied over. Then you're all set! Similarly if you have a memory card reader, do the same... copy the jar file to the "Other" directory on the memory card, then put it into the phone and run.

Just adding, screen is very bright, colourful and crisp. The sound is relatively loud on the speaker. The bluetooth is very easy and good to use. The camera isn't the best but its good for taking quick snaps of high resolution. You can have pictures come up when someone rings you, the contact has to be saved to the phones memory and then you can edit it from there. This is a good site for games, just rename them to .jar instead of .zip and use Gthing to install them or upload them onto a website and use WAP to download them

Hey, I've had this phone for a few weeks now and I really do like all its features and design. I'd never used an LG phone before but the menu layout and keys are really simple and effective to use. All its features are positives and the only cons about this phone I can think of are that it is slightly larger than your normal phone but I don't care and you can't really type fast when messaging or writing something. Apart from these minor cons this is a really good phone for its cheap price. The software that comes with it is really good and does everything except able you to upload games. The best software to use for this phone is Gthing. It works flawlessly and ables you to put games onto the phone for free, the only thing is that Gthing costs US$7. I was skeptical at first whether or not to buy it but I'm very satisfied with paying for it. You can't find old versions or cracked versions of it as it will only work with your IMEI number of your phone. I hope this was helpful, thankyou

Excellent mobile phone!!! Verry good battery life,strong signal,i use a 512 MB T-Flash,and you may use up to 1GB.But i cant find java games for LG.Please someone post links where i can download java games for LG. Thank's.

forgot to mention some more about java.. for anyone who wants to install java apps/games on their phone, without buying it from their provider or downloading via wap, the only way to do it seems to be with a program called GThing. it costs $US7, and is a real hassle to buy since you have to buy it for every seperate phone you buy (it only works on 1 IMEI).. i came across an alleged method, but it doesnt work for me. you might have different luck, so its worth a try.. here's the link:

for the price range this phone is in, it's for me quite clearly the best phone for its market.. the only thing which annoys me is that it's hard to compile java apps (games etc) manually. but it's automated via wap, so you'll have no problems with anything you download via the phone, it's just when you want to put java directly onto the phone.. to put mp3's and such on the phone, plug the phone to the pc via the usb cable, and pop the cd that came with the phone in as well.. it'll install some drivers, let it do it automatically, and after 3-4 installations it'll all be done.. next, install the software on the cd.. now, open the newly installed "LG Phone Manager" program, and with your phone still plugged in via the usb, click on "Transfer" then "Set COM Port...", one of them should have an asterix (*) next to it, select that one (for me its COM5).. next, click on "Transfer" and then "Connect".. IMPORTANT, make sure your phone is at the home screen before doing this, otherwise it'll come up with a connection error.. once you see that your phone is connected (just look at the screen), then click on contents to the left.. from within there, you can now browse your hard drive. copy the files you want by browsing to them through the file manager, then right click and "copy", then in the left panel double click on "LG Phone", then go to the appropriate folder (videos, sounds, images), then simply paste them in there.. voila, the files will appear on your phone now..

hi all. had phone for 4 months and works fine. connecting on usb on xp fine 2. software aint very brill.. get some of download.com (aac converters ect. 18 full lenght tunes converted from mp3 into acc format put on the phone, taken all vid's and pic's of phone to save memory as not have flash card so don't put mp3 on the phone as you won't get many tunes on it, convert them 2 acc unless u have the flash card as built in mem is crap and a zx spectrum has more lol. 1 thing i don't like about the phone you have to make a playlist to skip a tune and also i don't injoy the player software could be better and the speakers are crap 2. and if you need the software send a email. yer the phone is cheap to buy now and have mine on contract, wish i didn't as seen the phone for �110 in the secondhand shop and now theres many better 1s for less.

@ Asim I also have win 98 (SE that is ),and I installed all the drivers given there,I went step-by-step,as my machine was reporting new hardware,I think it was 3 times,or so,since I also have a transflash card inside.So,as I previosly said,just install all there is,set the port,go to transfer->connect in Phone Manager,and that's it!

I think this phone is cool. I had an NEC e616v before and as for file transfer, it's way better than that. The fact you can use MP3's as ring tones is good too, and it has blue tooth! I only paid �80 for the refurb model. The camera is actualy quite clear and anyhow if you think about it, 1.3 mega pixels isn't actually THAT high compared to any dedicated digital camera you can get (2.5 or more) so I don't know what people are expecting from a MOBILE PHONE! It's not a professional photgraphic piece of equipment; the phone camera is there to take quick snapshots! I like the fact you can get high quality images on to the phone as wallpapers as my old NEC model would only allow low quality ones, usually GIF files or PNG, whereas with this phone you can get almost any 3D wallpaper you find off the net and the phone will shrink it to fit the screen perfectly. I also use my computer wav sounds (converted into MP3's) as my text message tones as they are louder than the MIDI files and don't vibrate the speaker as much.

The correct port is shown in the Sync Manager->Configure->Communication Settings and you must mark the same port in the Phone Manager->Transfer->Set COM port If it still doesn`t work you should try to install the USB driver once again, the tricky thing is that the driver should be installed 4!!! times (I gues the korean dudes from LG just like to make life difficult for us europeans) Good luck to everyone with the synchronization, it`s not an easy one !

@ Pete I suppose you're talking about USB connection along with the software-it's not a biggy,you have to install everything you got,especially Sync and Phone manager,new hardwares ofcourse;then,you open the Phone Manager,go to TRANSFER where you set the correct port,for example mine is COM6,and then you click CONNECT;phone must be closed,in order to connect via USB,you will see a little animation that shows a pc and a phone with some arrows.

If you want to install Java applications without paying for the direct-to-phone download you need 3rd party PC software (Google gThing). Otherwise dump the jar files onto a transflash card and use that.

When installing the usb compataibilty note that if your running Windows Xp. You must install all drivers meaning that when the bubble at the bottom right hand corner of your page appear and you click it and it tells you if you have a cd that came with the product. If your cd is already in eject it and put it back in. Then wait while it installs the driver. Then after you will have to install another driver do the same process several times until all drivers are install then install phone manager ect.

Then, plug in the phone and it wil lask u to install sum sorta modem or sumtin. click install, it then will say microsoft hasnt aporved it. still install it. it wont harm ur comp. then u will have to install liek 3 other things from teh fone. once its all done, open lg phone manager then click connect, if it doesnt connect. click "tools" then "set com port" then click ok. then it should work.. __ Mp3 ringtones. no, you dont need to change the .mp3 extention to .mid you just put the song in the sounds folder of your fone via the usb cord and it will all work fine. just open then song on ur fone and go to "set sound theme" then choose "ringtone" something liek that. And yea. u can take a foto wit hthe fone closed. Whilst the fone is closed. press and hold the camera button. on the front screen a lil menu wil lsay [Cam] [Vid Cam] [Exit] using the volume keys scroll to which one u want. then press teh cam button again. Between this and the SE K608i, both offered by my local 3G shop at the same priced plan, I would say the SE would be a better choice- my personal opinion. Yes, the LG clamshell design is quite nice, however, I have used my friend's older model LG phone also from 3G, and I would have to say that the interface is not as functional and effective as the SE mobiles. Also after limited use, my friend had dropped the phone from a normal floor height, and the LCD screen already started to lose colour/gain messed up pixels. The only real advantage of this over the SE phone was that the LG has a more appealing clamshell design, and also expandable memory slot. Other than these two things, I would say that the SE was a better product in general. Can I get any other opinions, please?

You most definitely can copy mp3s to the phone or extended memory and use them for ringtones. That's what I do.

Hey, i got this fone abotu a week or two ago. and im not impressed wit the camera quality at all. It looks VERY BAD wen taking photo's inside. htey look all dotty and stuff, you can't really notice it on the phone but once put on the computer they look sooo bad. Hi Vanessa, I work in the mobile industry and can definately sugest this mobile over the Samsung E530. Reasons.... This one has 1.3 megapixels. And expandable memory, as well as Video Calling for face to face conversations, compared to the E530 which doesnt have any of the above.

Miles and miles ahead of their previous phones (bluetooth, 1.3MP, expandable mem), but... regardless of that,... its still LG. Always been hesitant to purchase an LG, simply coz of the amount of phones that are returned for ELF, or jus genral problems with them... but hey, i guess everyone has to start sumone... kudos to LG for finally a phone thats upto par with the norm of today.

Gotthis fone great looking, bluetooth,megapixel camera,memory card and good outercolour screen but why has it taken so long? we could of cut out 8120,8130ect should of had fm radio and has a few minor cosmetics left out from previous models.
