LG Xpression C395 - User Reviews

  • Brew MP, whatever that is. It's must be a proprietary operating system. For me, it makes a nice little music player.

  • it is an at&t cellphone, it works with their network, no androids or google...you can still use that phone with other carriers like I did for 4 years now, but you won't be able to use of at&t options already in the phone.

  • Looks awesome. Anyone knows whap system it uses? Doesn't look like android

  • Well specs were good but I guess more megapixels were needed than 2 a family member has the newer version. 3.7 Stars

  • There's a setting for it. Got Settings>Sound and turn off dial readout. That should fix your problem, assuming you haven't ditched the phone yet.

  • After owning this phone for a few YEARS, I can confidently say there is a reason it was discontinued. Battery life and durability are the only things it has going for it, but the battery life is only because I rarely use it. It only holds up for about 3 hours of actual use, give or take. Every feature is a crappy gimmick. Sound is awful. Speaker is terrible. Headphone jack has gone flaky. Processor painfully slow. No internet connection, only data service. no group texting. It's been know to call friends and family in my pocket(once even 911). The camera is shit too. The touchscreen is unresponsive and impossible to clean. I can't even lock it properly. I'm glad this chapter of my life is over, as I've finally deemed it time to send this phone into the flames from which it was forged in the fiery pits of hell. Venting like this make me feel a lot better.

  • I've found that this phone is very immortal. It has been run over by a car and it is still functioning. It's only known weakness is water.

  • When my phone rings a voice comes on stating the number. How can I turn it off? And have the phone just ring?

  • Um... you don't , it's not a smartphone

  • I like the phone except for one thing. I need a pin code as when phone is in pocket it will dial someone's number. I need to be able to lock it so this does not happen.

  • I love this phone, I got this on contract for free. In a year I'll pay off the contract It got what I like. There's a note app I love, calculator and the tip calculator in the tools app plus call and text....I would give this phone 100 stars, great job.

  • This phone sucks. The speakers are too loud. If I try to get on youtube, the viewing screen is too small and the sound is clayish. Next time im going with iphone.

  • This phone is the one given to my company by work. My major complaint is there no is no way to make a pin code entry for the phone, without having to lock the phone yourself by going to settings every time. If the phone is in my pocket, it very often unlocks itself. What I haven't seen mentioned is that the phone has two big buttons on the front. Once it unlocks itself, if the large "call" button is hit, it will dial the last person you messaged or called. I pocket dial people all the frickin time. It's ridiculously annoying. And with my line of work in a manufacturing plant, I have to get into small areas, or have to move around a bit. I often hear dial tones going off in my pocket when I do this. And the whole pictures without a USB cable is annoying too. I would never get this phone personally for these reasons, but all of its other functions are okay. The keyboard could use bigger shift and alt keys, as well

  • I got this phone for free with a new contract for my talk/text plan. I've had this phone for almost a year. I'm not crazy about it. The first thing I noticed was that the batter life is terrible compared to my previous Samsung phone. I really don't use my phone that much, so I don't like having to charge it every other day. My Samsung lasted 7-9 days based on similar usage. The volume control on the side of the phone became very hard to use very quickly, but after the phone was out of warranty. I tried using a data plan with it for a few days, it was so slow and awful, I turned the data right back off. I would NOT recommend this phone for internet use. The sound quality is fine, the keyboard is very nice. And I do enjoy using the phone as an mp3 occasionally. The music sounds very good, and any small-jack headphones will work with it. I will go back to Samsung next time, however. I still prefer Samsung overall, even though they require a special connection for headphones.

  • ive had it for about 7 months and my screen locks when i slide it to type. and when i cancel deleting messages it restarts itself and gos to s white screen for hours!!! WOrstphone ever

  • The phone is good for call quality and texting. It is at least fairly durable as I have dropped it a few times without anything breaking. The big annoyance is that it unlocks itself somewhat easily (if you accidentally slide out the keyboard or hit the top button) and I have pocket dialed people even after locking the phone. Additionally, you cannot move pictures from the phone by USB cable, rendering the camera largely useless. I did not get it for the camera, but the unlocking thing is the big flaw for me.

  • It's a decent phone for basic use, I've had it for several months now. There are some annoying problems though: -The keys are too sensitive when texting and I get extra letters all the time. Words end up kkinddd of likke thiss. Always. -The fact that the keypad is a touch screen means that when you call 800 numbers and have to press 1, press 2, etc. you have to "wake it up" and press "show dialpad" every time you press a number, and occasionally I'll accidentally press the wrong number which can be a minor annoyance. One downfall of the convenience of touch screen. -The layout isn't as simple as phones of this type I've had in the past, I'm still figuring it out. Maybe I'm just technologically inept. Oh well.

  • no buddy this is good one

  • i got mine 4 free and i love my phone!!!!!!!!!

  • I got this phone maybe a year ago. And I've already lost touch in the screen. I've only dropped it 4 times at the most. No cracks. But it's been fine everytime then one day I completely lost touch.

  • This phone is amazing. I just got it today. It has a wonderful touch screen, loud speakers and a lot if other amazing features! If you don't have it and are looking at getting it, you should really get it!!!! It's good for kids and Tweens, I am a tween myself...... Hope this helps!

  • Anyone else having problems with the internet on this phone? Mine freezes up on the homepage, and doesn't want to load properly.

  • I love this phone. It works great for me. The only problem would be how fat it is with the case on.

  • The phone works normally except if you don't have a cover, it might freeze.

  • No, you are not able to record phone calls but you call separately record audio.

  • the keys are hard to the touch

  • Are you able to record a phone call?

  • Anybody that has this phone for over 3 months, what do you think of it now? I am due for an upgrade and I am considering this phone. I had a bad experience once with a Samsung Touchscreen from Verizon, so I am so/so about getting a touchscreen phone with qwerty keyboard again. I currently have the LG Neon 2 and I absolutely loved it and had really no major complaint about it. Any advice will he helpful! Thanks in advanced! =)

  • We can't figure out how to get an internet hotspot on my phone.

  • When you say it doesn't have wi-fi, do you mean it isn't a hotspot or it doesn't have internet on it and that you can't access any internet on it at all?

  • Great phone! Rocking LG. Go ahead...

  • because lg stands for larg garbage

  • This phone is great for some one who just wants a simple phone.

  • I've had this phone for about a month. Its pretty good except for it being slow once in while. I wish it had WiFi connection and radio but other than those little flaws its a great phone!

  • The phone was great at first, but then it lead to a problem. I am a texter so I text all the time. After ONE MONTH, I stopped receiving texts. The phone is perfect for the first month or two and then it starts having problems. This has happened to me 3 times already with LG phones.

  • this product rate canbe same low

  • like the phone as a basic phone . what i keep hearing it has fm radio ,i'd like to know how to acse it. great as a basic text phone i like it's music on the card but have heard can be 32g and heard 28g need to know before i buy a card using a 4g not big enof for all the music i listen to 60-90 lol a lot. where is the fm radio?

  • 'No Radio' spoilt it

  • if you want internet then get a smart phone. if you want a basic phone that does not require you to pay $110.00 a month this is one of the better dwindling options.

  • I think this is a great phone! So what if there isn't wifi. Buy a phone that does use it. OR, just pay an extra amount of money to go online.

  • i think its a good phone. but it can be great if including wifi!

  • This is a really great phone that has all the features I need. I can call, text, and even add music to it. Yeah it doesn't have wifi but so what? The world isnt about to end without this phone having wifi.

  • Who cares about what u think!!!!!!!!!

  • I have this phone and it actually is pretty good. But the thing is, is that people are complaining about ''phone wifi'' or this is a ''worthless phone''. Well actually its not. I use this phone to call and text. Also people are complaining about 3 hr talk time? No ones going to be talking for 3 hr's! What I was saying before is that I use this phone to talk and text and its GREAT! You send fast, get messages back fast, and calling is nice too. Not the best but its pretty good. What I'm trying to say is that this phone is good for people who don't want to pay for the data plan only spending $30 a month just to get wifi to go on Facebook, Twitter, or MySpace only when your out of the house. Well guys.. You don't have to spend EVERY minute on the internet. Not complaining but its true. Also you have computers so... Yeah i have this phone and it's great. So if your seeing those negative posts on here just cause of wifi? Don't listen to them because this phone is really good! Also the keyboard.. Well its pretty small but the other phone I had was HORRIBLE!!! It was a pan tech... I prefer for you to stay away from pantechs because the keyboard was crunchy. and the screen was way to small .. But if you like these kind of phones then get it because if you see the 1-5 stars its 5-5!

  • thankyou! your totally right! all you people complaining need to get a life. if you wana be a snob and complain about how its not a smart phone go ahead! we will see whos angry when you go into debt from all thT INTERNET CRAP FOR UR PHONE WHEN U CAN USE IT ATH HOME

  • LOL! 3h30min calling time. This device is almost like corded phone. When LG gonna give up mobile phone business? I'm asking, coz they drift to some retro devices crap :)

  • smartphones are not way to go because they cost for downloading and how much data a page can hold i rather have free internet and free messaging and no gig plan need its pointless. and if u dont fully close out an aapp the battery runs down faster on smartphones

  • I have this phone and love it.I'm 23 years old and since I was 16 I've always had basic phones. When I need informtion about movie times, directions,or places to eat, I simply check online before I leave the house, or if I'm going to be gone for awhile I'll bring my tablet along and find somewhere with wifi. Alot cheaper in the long run. I use my phone to keep in contact with family and friends, thats it.

  • Just wondering, are the slide out keys hard to the touch or are they rubber-like?

  • all of you people saying this is a worthless phone or who would want a phone this day and age without wifi you are for one taking the time to wright a review and second there are some people out there who want a phone without wifi. i am 13 and most people my age dont want or need wifi. some of my friends have it but rarely use it. there is know need for it. the phone i have now and the next phone i get (i am hoping it will be this one) do not have wifi. there is no point in having it when most people just use it for facebook or other useless things like twitter.

  • I haven't ordered this phone yet but I plan to. Most of the negative reviews you read are complaining about the phone "not having wi-fi" or "why would you get this phone when you can get X smartphone." If you're in the market for a non smartphone (as I am)you shouldn't care about wi-fi capability. As for those raving about how much better smartphones are, not everyone wants a smartphone which is why they still make these phones. For people who want a phone for texting and calling. I for one am glad they finally came out with a new lg feature phone.

  • What LG is doing? don't want get back their position,

  • Not everyone wants to drop $30 on a data plan when they are surrounded by computers and wifi. Wish they would either lose the forced $30 charge or have more phones like this without the data charge.

  • ..oh please...what about 17mm? What about 3 hours talk time.....may be the target customers are children or rather under-fives. I use LG products but this is a thing I don't get the reason or strategy behind it. But, I respect their decision.

  • Another worthless phone

  • it is awful at the 2012 year all devices must have wifi. it must be base. lg mezelenir

  • either u should not make physical slide qwerty phones or if u wanna make, make it like motorola.. the milestone and DROID 4 the latest the best!

  • what the hel happens to world why such big company as lg produce phone with no wifi at 2012 year it must be base for all phones beyond 2012

  • Why would anyone bother when you could get an Xperia Pro instead?
