Never buy this tablet because its USB port doesn't work, shows almost the the half the battery it really has. Doesn't have Bluetooth-big problem, has a useless kind of processor as it cannot even run simple apps like subway surfers nicely. Has the WiFi in the world. As a summary I should say that buying this is like putting 3000 Rs in the trash.

Hi thgis is a wonderful device only thing which lags in this is a celluar data feature. Rest i have had a great experience. currently facing issue with the device, I was using candy crush game and all of a sudden after resetting the device it does not boot up at all. Most worst....becoz it will not function after warranty...and no proper service is available in the service centre. I am facing lot of difficulties with the battery of P-300 for my funbook. I am running around the service centre at Hanamkonda since about 2 months, finally i came to know that, company has stopped the manufacturing of P300 batteries, so y they have introduced fun book...for which I am going to sue them in Highcourt.

Hi my request is don't buy this tab, I got last year and within 2 months battery problem, gave to service they took 30 days then within 2 months display problem will get on with white display and remain same. again gave for service they told that as the touch is having crack as i dropped down they will charges me for that 2500 rs i told no prob if the touch breaks and try to change the display they did so the whole display has a crack now and the display looks like local screen not the company one. ok the best part is now in 3 days the first problem has started again battery problem. i am feed up and going to throw in dustbin not worth buying this product worst...........

Hi, the screen got damaged by an accidental fall. Gave it the Micromax authorized centre for replacing the screen. It is more than 40 days now. After a constant follow up with the the authorizied centre i learnt that that they do not have a spare screen for this model in their store as production has been stopped long back. This is for the information of the general public.

U hav to reset it for reset p300 just press volume up+power+home together in switch off mode then control it by volume up button and ok by power or may be home button but i gaurranted one of them surely work aftr that scroll down on factory data reser and ok on that by home or power button then it takes a few mints and reset after you can optimize ur device freedomly!!

it's a good tab i bought two months ago at first i too got same problem then like u guys then like automatically shutting down at 56% then once i have refered the user manual then i got to understood a thing that to keep charging up to 100% and after 100% charging even though keep charging up to 1 hr time then slowly batter backup improves but now that problem never come back to me again it shut downs at 0% to me......

Display issue cropped up within 10 days, The service center guy made me come thrice to get a job sheet. Approx TAT of 7 to 15 provided for display replacement - very rude behavior of people - pathetic service, Phone numbers dont work.Call center direct you to service center the numbers provided on SMS are switched off or wrong numbers. No people to escalate - sub standard shows out. You can be happy with the equipment if you are lucky enough not to get a problem.

I bought the Funbook(Micromax P300) in May 2012. Within one year ,I have given the tablet to service centre,due to problem of battery / charging/. But the problem is not solved. It is now again giving me problem automatic shut down at 80-90. This is embracing.

Bought this for Rs.4100. The pack had a USB female to mini USB converter cable, a data transfer cable and a charger. Startup is a bit slow but if we wait for couple of minutes and then start using it , this is ok. Battery backup is ok and withstands for 3 hours for browsing. Takes 2-3 seconds to wake up from sleep mode. I was told that only Tata Docomo dongle works but I could find this working fine with Aircel dongle without any config changes. Browsing is fine, music and volume is ok within small room, video quality is ok for direct viewing only. side view is a bit blurred. The glass protection shows up the finger prints but anyway it is an added advantage if bought for kids. Games like temple run, subway surfer etc work normally, camera is ok for chats. In a nut shell, this is worth the cost.

Very worst experience with Micromax Service Center Don't by Micromax Funbook worst servicing... Two months back we bought micromax funbook P675 through online. It was working fine for two months without any issues. One day it stopped working and it gets stuck when it is switched on. I took it to the near by micromax service center which is near to our place on 17th June 2013. They told that the software is not working fine and need to correct that so they took the tab and asked me to collect it next day. I called them next day and they said it is not yet completed and they told me that they will call me after completing. I waited for two days but did not received any call from them. I called them back and they said that the tab has been sent to company for repair and told me that they will call me back after. I waited for few more days and when ever I call them they used to say that they did not received it from company. Finally I was frustrated and called Micromax call center at 1860 500 8286 and they asked me for the job card number and I was having only manual receipt number and customer care asked me to get the job card number from the service center. I called back service center for job card and they started new story saying that network is down and we cant find the job card number.I went to service center and they said that system is not accepting the invoice so job card is not getting created. I asked them to return my tab and they gave me the tab. When I went back to home charged the tab and switched it on and the display was broken. I bought a funbook P300. Unlike advertised, It does not have any educational software , you have to buy one also choice is limited. Its battery is faulty, as soon as its 50% used the tablet shuts down, its charging port is vulnerable and short circuits repeatedly. Their NOIDA service centre are thieves, They stole my SD card when I gave them my TABLET for repair. I would not recommend dealing with this company for ant product they are cheats.

Great device for the price factory rom is very slow once you are running a Clean ICS it is a great device for running games the only draw back is that the company has not resolved the battery problem as the USB provides 3.7v charge to the battery and the dc power supply provides 5v hence there is a conflict in the battery power. After the clean install of ICS i get about 1:45 mins to 2hrs. Those who have bought it don't have to regret. Once you root and install clean ICS the device runs fine. Any help on rooting mail me. They just take your product and won't return it to you for months telling you that your product has not been received by the service centers yet. yes , this has happened to me , just after 2 months of buying it . I bought it on 27 aug 2012 . I didnt go to any service center , but i tried fixing it myself . To fix this problem you need a microSD card (mine is of 2gb) , you have to first switch it off then mount the card in its slot on the right side of the tab then try switching it on by pressing the power button for few seconds then it will start in the standard way ( my takes a lot of time ). then u will see ur homesreen but after few seconds it will restart then when u see the FUNBOOK... then u have to remove and insert the memory card . after some time ur tab will be fixed . but every time u restart ur tab u have to follow the steps gven above again. THANK YOU .

I have used it for over six months. It sure is great fun and also quite useful. While it is quite trouble free, should there be a problem, the service centers are quite atrocious. The Hyderabad center doesnt even lift the phone! Another problem is low battery life. I feel it needs a 400 MAH battery for comfortable use between rechargings. All in all it is a great piece and lots of fun.

well i m using this tab from last 6 months..it works fine... i have my battery gauge fixed but yes it only last for 2 hours u can use other dongles too(those which r unlocked.). i have used vodafone unlocked dongle with aircel sim n yes it was gsm. well micromax have provided dis tab at very low price u guys should not keep ur expectations so high afterall u r not buying samsung galaxy tab...:P

hi friends, i am doing you all a good favor by telling you don't waist your money buying this. this is really a bad product( battier issues, hangs a lot, switches off every time, customer service center is the worst & they never pick up the phone). i am not the only one with issues, when i went to service center in bangalore there was a big line & everybody came there with the same/different issues. We had wait for 1.5hrs to reach the help desk itself. Everybody raised their voice & left the place with arguments. So friends donate your money for charity & not to them, at least you'll be satisfied the money went to good/needy people.

Guys plz dont purchase this tablet bcoz it is not tablet.Its a great hanging device. i have purchased funbook after 1 months,i was playing a game ande battery level has reached 37%.Automatically it gets shut down and after that this tablet doe not power on until i connect my charger.Then, It starts and screen becomes white.I gave it into service center they said me its a motherboard problem.and its going to be 3 months bt they are saying after 1 week. What a crazy..,stupid company is this?

I solved the battery problem which is a software problem. Earlier my tab used to switch off at 78% battery but now its alright :) To solve this problem, use battery calibration. It is available in the play store for free

Funbook is such a crappy product. My dissatisfaction started right after 30 minutes from receiving the product. It kept shutting down on its own even when the battery was full. Used it for like a week or so and then threw it in my desk drawer. I opened it again after 2 months, i am not surprised it wont even start now. It runs only when power cable is plugged into its ass. Pull out the plug and BAMM it shuts down in milli seconds. Guys dont buy FUNBOOK is a F****K

I have a unique problem with my wifi connection with Funbook P300. I have bought a new wifi modem-cum-router from iBall called iBaton. I am able to connect to my laptop using this very easily. I also connected to my tablet initially. But then after initial connection, due to the battery being dead tablet switched off. After recharging I am unable to connect to the wifi hotspot. I tried all things but my tablet wouldn't recognize the hotspot. It always said "Not in range" eventhough I am sitting next to it. Then in one try I renamed the hotspot name and saved it. The tablet immediately recognized it and connected to it when I supplied the credentials for it. This is always happening. The tablet is only recognized once. Any help for rectifying this will be appreciated. Anantha

I found this really worth while comparing the price. I dont find any real issues with tab, the only issue which i found it could be the battery backup is not that really good. it stands up 2hrs hardly even its charged to 100%. Reponse is really good.Support most of the apps from the google play. it would have been really good if the ram is upgraded which gives btter performance,however that would be availble in higher end. But this what we could get for paying under 7k.

Guys, I bought a Micromax Funbook only a week back bcoz I wanted to give it to my 5 year old son so that I get back my Apple Ipad 2. its been a week and I have not been able to use it for 2 hours in row. Firstly, the battery is a problem. Secondly today as I was watching some videos on youtube, there is this crackling sound that started coming. I was worried. I shut down the system, reboot everything yet it does not go away. I had bought this from Croma a week back. I dont know what their return policy is but I definitely want to throw it back at the Micromax guys. also tell Croma not to deal with such crap stuff. Hi friends ! I m using this tab since last three months . I found it more useful in warching videos and playing games. Video quality is good along with wounderful sound . Games which are of low graphics reqiurment work best on this tab . Also higher games run smoothly on it . Even temple run works on it , but not as smoothly as in any dual core or quard core processored phone . Also net browsing is a great fun on it , as it as got a huge 7 inches screen. Camera though VGA shoots much better than it should at this pruce level . Touch sreen is also quiet good responsive . What I believe is that if u want to use a tab with android 4.0 , icecream sandwitch with such a large screen and that too in a short budget than there is no other option than this . This is just wounderful !!! Ya it lacks in the matter of SIM card slot and bluetooth , though they are major requirment , what I think is that at this price u can manage it some other way . This is my personal review after using it , no matter what others feel . Hope u can get a short idea about this tab from it . Thank u for reading it !!!!

Hey dude.. Shutting down quickly and unexpected is not battery problem.. Just get your software updated/refreshed from Micromax service cntr .. The problem will be solved. The tablet will last alive till minimum battery meter. The problem is common in all pre installed version of OS in P300 tabled. It will be solved by refreshing/updating the OS of this tablet.

I have had the most frustrating experience with Micromax P300. I bought this tab from Croma Goregaon i June 2012, and it worked for about one and half month. Later it started shutting down so we were directed by Croma to the service center in Andheri west, who told us we would get it in one week as some part was defective. Now it is almost December, and they are still not giving me any commitment when they will give me back my tab. Please keep away from Micormax, as it is better to buy a product with some more money rather than be disappointed and frustrated with a product that is maybe some two thousand less.

The customer service #'s listed on Micromax website don't work and service centers have been refusing to provide any support with Micromax products. Products turn out to be defective, it's the service that describes what a company is. My advice.. Stay away from Micromax

you have to buy a seperate cable to connect the dongle . its is available for 150 rupees.take the funbook and check the compatibility . when u connect the dongle the light should blink in the dongle only then it will work.

The tablet is cheap in performance as well. I have also used it for over 5 months. Battery has some problem, it shuts down at any point of time, sometimes @ even 75% charge. Frustrating. Even.more frustrating is that already limited service centres of micromax are even more limitef for the tablet - e.g. only one. Service centre in mumbai handles tablet service!! Today I logged on to find some review/ solution for wifi problem. Where my ipad and lenovo ideapad laptop can detect over 4 signals, funbook is funny enough 2 fine none!! It could pick up some weak signals when I went within 2 meters range of the wifi router!!

It is a piece of scrap.I tried to connect it with Vodaone Dongle but did not get any success. I called MicroMax support centre on 1-860-500-8286 but they told me that they only support TATA Photon. If it is like that then why they have not written on the packet of FunBook that it will work only with TATA Photon? It is ridiculous. In this way they are proving that they are the one who sell Chinese products. Believe me they will never be able to make their market in this way.

Absolute crap of a tablet. Gifted this to my dad and he's so much frustrated with it that he never touches it. It hangs like crazy, even the best of the apps like dolphin or chrome crash and crash and crash. RAM management is poor. No bluetooth. No wifi tether. And you can never trust its battery gauge as it shuts down without warning even at 40 percent battery level. Its so bad that its unusable at least for the purpose of internet browsing. Only good for watching videos, that too only with the aid of the adapter as battery hardly lasts 2 hours. Yes its cheap but its still not free..I want my money back !

Micromax is only a re-branding company. The Funbook itself is a rebranded MOMO9. The products are manufactured in China and imported by Micromax. Naturallly the products are of poor quality. brothers, My experience with funbook is worse than the above 1)Tablet switch off automatically when battery level reaches 90% from the next day of buying this tab. Powes adapter supplied with this tab gives electric shock. 2)Tablet can be connected to internet only with huawei dongle offered by tata photon plus (bundled with this tab) which is the slow & low signal network in my area ie; once tab get connected to internet & start downloading something battery will reach 90% & tab will switch OFF. 3) After 1 month of purchase -camera becomes complaint (images not clear) & sound not working. 4) I contact service centre & given this for service. They promised to repair this thing in 2 weeks. 5) It is almost 1 month now & till now i dont receive tab after their repairing. Everytime when i contact servicecentre they promise to give next week. Pls note all these complaints occured within 2 months of purchasing this tab for Rs 7000/-. Therefore my advise never to buy these type of tablets especially Micromax.

Hey guyz I hav used Micromax FunBook P300 , and becasue of the ongoing battery issues i had taken it to the services thrice to three different places and none of the person over was able to fix this issue. So one day I sold my funbook and then i bought Lava Tab which I thought will better previous one. However , it was nothing new, rather less features @ a cheaper price of Rs.5800 which again possess the same issue i.e on reaching 6% it shuts down and doesnot get restart. I took it the tab to the store and had to replace it with a MICROMAX Tab, but the latest version 'MICROMAX FUNBOOK INFINITY' which changed my approach towards micromax. Let me give you a brief description of Infinity 1. Dual Camera 0.3 on front and 2 MP camera on the backside 2. Dual Speaker which is quite effective 3. 4000mah Battery ( without cutoff issues goes upto 0% ) 4. Includes an additional 4GB Memory card with the pack 5. Rest all features remains the sames as P300. I don't know why GSMARENA has not updated info abt the Funbook Infinity and hope very soon will get updated.

Yeah bro, same problem with my funbook too. If they are going to give drivers and android . I can install by myself in my home like windows to my pc. But they wont. Service centers are too far.till now 4 times my android crashed. I stopped using it. If they give android os i am ready to buy it. But they aren't.

Yes, it reads all formats. Games everything works fine. You will go crazy . But its not a stable machine. Android crashes very often in a week or two. And battery huge problem. Its fun at start but its not fun after a week or so.

Battery is a problem. Android crashes very often. Though they dont give the android os for you to install in your home instead you have to run around the service center for delivering and picking up. If service center are nearby you are lucky. Because they dont have service center everywhere for funbook. And my cousin and me bought at same time. Our both funbook face same problem. I think you wait for some more time .

Trust me better invest in a good android cell phone than funbook. I got mesmerised by its display , looks and price. It went straight to service center 4 times because of crashing of android. And now at 95% battery it switches off. And for me service center are not near. I have to waste a day for going to service center and a day for pick up. After all its not how much you pay. Its how much money you waste maintaining it. I gave up . Choice is yours.

I bought Micromax funbook in the 1st week of August. It's not worth buying. When I bought it and started using from the 3rd day of purchase, found problem in the headphone jack and the touch pad. Gave it at customer care for check, received repaired piece. They changed the touch pad. Headphone jack still not working properly. The customer care person says it is on mother-board and can't be repaired. Problem remains as it is. After 1 month the screen has started giving problem the screen goes screen with checks of different colours. Not satisfied with purchase. Thumb down from my side. Never suggest any one to buy it. Trust me this is the fact. Bought it for my genius son (7 years). He uses desktop, laptop and so many other gadgets. He told me "what have u bought for me, 3rd class gift I have ever received" Think twice and thrice before you go for it. It is better to spend more money and by better thing.

Hi Guys , p300 is not worth purchasing.I had bought one and since then it is not connecting to wifi. battery capacity too low and i have to use charger along with the tablet , really inconvenient. Friends never buy this product you will be wasting your money. It's better to go with Byond new tablet , it is having a excellent touch and good speed , i think it would have been good to wait , rather than buying a P350. Byond after sale support is also good , my friends are recommending it and i have seen the reviews they are wonderful.There service is excellent,guys. reviews of Byond are the best , so now i will go for it.

It is a decent tablet with android 4 (ice cream sandwich).Internal memory 4 expandable till 32. The battery problem can be easily solved by battery caliberation. You always have to shut it down afer using. If you put it at standbay it"s battery gets used ( i don't know for what). But over all it is a nice tab. And yes, it does not contains a SIM card slot.

hello friends this is a best tab in this. price...... i hav buy it on 4.8.12.... it dosent showed any problem.... even it is working much better..... u can connect iball 4 usb hub to it and then u can connet any usb mouse, usb keyboard ,a pendrive and a tata docomo 3g dongle at a tym..... it will work as a computer..... after conneting usb mouse u will notice a mouse pointer on ur screen..... hcl tab has a poor and bad resolution but funbook has a very gud resolution for vedio (2160)..,. i have connect it to my lcd tv via hdmi cord..... and this facility is not their in hcl tab

one in x funbooks have a prb, where x tends to two. i and a frnd bought a piece each frm 'the mobile store'. mine has the battery indicator bug; i can live with it. my frnd s piece had a weird issue where the touch wud stop working until a reboot after the battery drained. he was then mis directed a number of times to the correct srvice center location. once he got there, they kept te piece fr a month. he finally got it bak, but now the thing refuses to boot - stuck at te animation screen

At micromax outlet they formatted the device but the problem doesn't resolved.. & on next visit surprisingly they are telling that they don't have engineers to repair the device... & told to visit again next week ..... i bought the micromax funbook on August 23, 2012 in Assam. And believe me, its a superb tablet. Its my first android device and i love it. Even my friend who has iPad 3 is jealous of me because my 6500 rupees tablet can give me more facilities than his ultra costly iPad. I am not experiencing any issue...maybe the funbooks manufactured after July don't have this issue (mine was delivered in July 2012). It has a fast processor and dual mali-400 GPU which makes games run smoothly. Battery is quite ok...but drenches quickly while browsing via wifi (5 hours). There are some problems related to ICS (android 4.0.3)....everyone who is using ICS are experiencing many problems. I hope google rectifies those issues in Jelly Bean (Android 4.1). I am waiting for a Jelly Bean upgrade. You can even use a pen drive, a mouse, keyboard or a 3G dongle in your funbook using the USB connector :D most of my friends have started buying this tablet after seeing mine :D hats off to micromax for making such an amazing product.

Think before you buy it.It does value even 6.5k. It will have problems like automatic shutdown and wifi problems after a few months which I and my frnd haved faced with this product, and waste customer support. If u get a problem it will take atleast 2 months to solve the issues and it will be in service center all those days.

dont connect a USB Dongle, purchase a wifi dongle and then u can use the internet at the speed of 7.2mbps and it is also easy to carry any where and u can connect 5 devices at the same time......

Hi all, This suggestion is to all tablet owners. You can try to connect bluetooth usb dongle (available for 100 rupees) in to the usb slot of the tablet. Then you can pair the tablet with your mobile phone using bluetooth and access internet on your tablet. PS: I don't have a tablet and have not tried this myself. If it works for you, post the results here. Thanks

I also have the same problem. Bought this tablet in July and just one week later the battery used to shut down at 30%. I tried all the battery calibration software and tried resetting the tablet many times (costing me lot of data usage to reinstall the apps). And now it shuts down with 80% battery still remaining. Due to this horrible tablet, I have lost trust in all Indian companies. I am never going to buy an electronic equipment which is made by an Indian company.

why dont you people use custom rom i have purchased funbook and it is a charm yes i do Admit that micromax inbuilt rom is very bad but after installing custom rom 3.0 i can run even locked bsnl 3g dongle and mts mblaze and that battery problem is also solved and for good input while charging just ask them to replace the charger i was having that problem too but now it is soved it is because eitjer charger is of higher voltage either it is plugged in high voltage source like in trains

I am kumar I bought micromax tablet P300 within 15 dyas there was problem in the software and in the battery, it will got automatically switch off. It's total waste of my money. Once it switch off we won't be able to switch it on again. We have to connect with the dc power supply and then it will be able to switch on again. I dont why these micromax company cheating the peoples. I gave the micromax tablet to the authorized service center 20 days passed still there is no solution for it. They didn't replace my battery for the tablet and they there is no solution for the software reinstallation also.

A very very average tab with battery problems. A month after purchase the tab turns off even though battery level shows 60%. Initially tried calling the toll free numbers but none work. Tried calling the Andheri Mumbai Service centre numbers listed in website both were picked up at the 100th try and relpied as wrong numbers.. Called up the Dadar Mumbai service centre who confimed that the Andheri numbers were correct. ???? hence led me to believe VERY VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE....

I bought Micromax Funbook a month ago. It has been good. The Android ICS is great. It works well. It is very portable. The size is perfect for carrying around. Here are some problems: 1. The RAM is low. 512MB is good enough for applications. But sometime if you are using an application that runs in the background, like messenger, then it will make the device slow. 2. While charging, the input misbehaves. It is hard to type right while charging. 3. Recently the Funbook turns off automatically even if it is charged (30-50%). I had to put it back on charging to turn it on. I don't use the tablet a lot so it is fine for me. Also, at nearly $100 this is a great device. But, I would like to get the battery problem fixed. Do I recommend this device? - Well at Rs. 6000, I would say this is a great device. You cannot buy anything at this cost that is as good as this one. But, if money is not a problem then try to go for other high end device like from ASUS or Google Nexus.

I will not recommend Micromax Funbook. I had bought the same the first week of June and within one month it got damaged and when we took it to the service center, they sad it will take about 10 days for repair as all the parts are damaged. For the solution to the battery problem in funbook the corrupt os of micromax stock rom is the reason..Do one thing.. Go to unlockroot.com and download latest version. Then root the device and download novotools from google search. In novotools there is an option for reboot recovery. First download the funseries 3.0 rom from xda website and flash with cwm recovery..The battey problem will be solved.

Hey buddy!!! yes you can definitely use skype for video chat!!! just make sure you do close you back running apps other wise the camera gets crash and you have to reset the tab all big time...

I have this tablet in my hands right now working through wifi, and I am hetting good speed, though it is just a wifi hotspot from an Android device, I think every thing about the wifibis just fine good speed :-) if not wifi tablet can also connects through a wireless usb dongle , which will surely give you a more good experience, hope it helped.

regarding the dongle specification i want 2 say that dongles other than photon will work provided the size of the dongle is not too much ... the size of the connecting part of the dongle ( which u insert in the mini usb to usb cable) micromax modems probably wont support bcz of their bigger size in respect to Zte and huawei modems)

Micromax Funbook P300 is undoubtedly a good Tab especially for first-time Tab buyers and Non-geeks like me, that too at a very affordable price of Rs.6.5k. I have been using it for the last 2 months and found that the performance is quite satisfactory. My BSNL 3G dongle will not work with it as the Funbook seems to be locked with Tata Photon+. Therefore, I tried both 3G and 2G browsing with the help of Micromax Pocket Wireless Router Speedster MMX400 where you can insert your mobile sim and get internet through wireless. The Speedster costs Rs.2300/ in your pocket. But, it is a small one and you can carry it anywhere around in your pocket. This is the workaround if you do not want the Tata Photon+ postpaid connection (another aspect is only Tata postpaid connection works and not prepaid). The browsing performance is quite good. The newcomers to the Tab arena may find that the Tab experience is different from using a Laptop. As such, except for impressing others by showing off, buying a costly Tab at least initially may not be advisable. If you do not handle a Tab properly it can hang and also eventually get corrupted (I feel). Last but not least, handle the Tab with patience.

friends this tablet is the wrost thing launched by micromax..there service centre says that it is a demo..haha.. wht a shit.. i have bought this tablet 15 days before and it shows a battery problm and over hitting problem ... when i went to the service center for repairing they said its usb is short circuited and it will change ,,i mean its only a few days old set and it get this problem .THE MAIN PROBLEM OF THIS SET IS "IT does not show low battery and it get automatically switched off and then does start without connecting the charger to it..and the company says this is the same problm with every tablet and they don't have solution for this... there service is also very wrost..PLZ dont buy this..HCL ME is far better than this

i think funbook is a tab worth buying and the only thing to worry is you have to pay a monthly rental for tata photon+ or else buy a data card. Hi friends, bought mmx funbook 3 days ago after extensive research in cheaper tablets but wid gud quality. Definitely I tapperd to mmx fbook comparing wid others. I orderd thrgh ncarry official partner of mmx. Got delivered on 4th day. I recommend screen protector along wid it. Packing ws nice n ws happy to c it being safely delivrd. Only hassle ws ncarry website didn't update product status so inspite of website showing awaiting dispatch product ws in my hand. Den comin 2 mmx, product faithfully deliv.rd wat ws shown in specs. 1st touch is very nice. Responce is very fast n thus can type wid 2 fingers. Sometimes rarely it doesn't respond 4 milisecond. Keypad very nice gives name suggestion on top. Very useful. 2nd transition thrgh screen is extremely fast. No hassle watsoever. Opening n closing app is also adquate no probs. 3rd gamin is charm of dis tab. Not found any game incompatible 4 it though google play wrongly shows many games incompatible. 4th even hd game runs so smoothly tat u feel more comfortable wid dis den ur pc. 5th video playing hd is super smooth n runnin from middle is flawless. Now some minus points are sound quality is ok not bad but not gud also. Better listen wid hd set, camera is vga so pic quality is poor hwever face can b recognizd easily. Den major disadvantage is its battery back up. It last fr 3 to 4 hrs wid browsing. So need charging frequently. Now some clarification of some facts about mmx fbuk. 1st any 3g dongle can b used fr assessing net in dis tab. 2nd tata photon dongle is not coming wid it but a offer comes in which after paying 500rs u get dongle n 1 gb net free fr 1 month. 5th zenga tv channels 1 month trial free is coming wid it. 6th never till now it has freezd or shutdown at any time fr me. Last I wud recommend to install antivirus first n den go fr surfing to prevent any damage to ur tab. I hav installed avast n works nice widout much load on processor. To conclude I will recommend to buy it if u r first time tab buyer. Seeing the price n spec n performance ofcourse it is beneficial deal widout doubt. Only thing now remains to be seen is the maintenance of its performance atleast fr a year. Hope my review has given clear pic about mmx fbuk. Do ask if u hav any doubt. Regarding the dongle being only supported of tata photon this is not true exactly i used my own 3g service with aircel sim all you need to do is follow these steps 1. With the given Extension card for connecting the USB port connect your data card. 2. Go to Settings--> Select More--> then Mobile Networks 3. Enable Mobile network and also enable data while roaming. 4. Click on the Mobile networks, in that you can see "TATA" with the dial number #777. 5. Click that, it will go inside that option, 6. Then Scroll to the user name and password section. 7. Select and enter your user name and password of your datacard

i am taking away my words regarding gprs usage in micromax. it support gprs/edge i m using 2g idea gprs plan with idea sim in ideanetsetter e1732 and also used tatadocom sim gprs both works fine no need to do any type of setting/rooting it automatically detects both idea and docomo sim. but i have unlocked ideanetsetter firs.

M using funbook for lat 3 months nd i m very impressed with d performence it gave me no lags but a bit of battery issue evry app wrks fine in it and its media player just breezed through the 1080p MKV's.this is my fav tab . Install a custom rom nd see d magic happen......nd if u want ur tab 2 wrk fine dn install a antivirus nd clear unneccesary apps nd defragment ur memory.my fav game on it is real football 2012.

Yep Its the issue with the Battery level indicator. At what ever the percent it shuts down. It still gives the back up of 3.5 to 4.5 hour. That's not a issue for regular user. But it misleads you some times :(

i purchased funbook around 20 days back from Vijay sales. overall found it good considering its price point. but the problem is since last 3 days battery is charged fully but without charger plugged in its not working. previously it was getting suddenly closed even battery status was showing 30% remaining. i want to get replacement. within 20 days if its behaving this way i cant think of recommending anybody. This is for all of you who are very much confused about the device. Friends this device comes in just 6.5k and has got all valuable features and even more. I call this device as the device at its absolute best. I admit that it has got some issues related to its battery (as it must be cause of its price) but rest is wow! ICS works at its best over this device and the touch is very smooth. The device can be connected to any network through 3G dongle( you can use 2g service over a 3g dongle if you want), so as far as connectivity is concerned it purports every network. The device is not transcripted to Tata photon plus, its a rumor nothing else. Connectivity is not going to be an issue if have a little bit knowledge of CS. Rest every thing is fine. You can't make a phone call for sure as its not a mobile phone and doesn't support sim card. Resolution is good 133ppi and one more thing its a good value for money. I have iphone4, ipad and air. Obvious ipad has no match but as far as valuable stuffs and price is concerned fun book too has no match. My friend has purchased it from home shop 18 and since than i am using and loving it.

the promises made by the micromax 1. tata photon dongle bundled- no bundled tata photon you have to pay Rs 500 to buy. 2. 1gb additional data free for two months- you have to take plan of Rs 650 above per month to get that if you choose Rs 250 plan you will not get 1gb additional data so both promises are false it is better to purchase sim bundled tab and gprs /3g supported like reliance 3g tab .. i am using micromax funbook from last 1 month and also used reliance 3g tab .. from my angle reliance 3g tab is much much better to buy than this.. android ics has nothing effective..

this tablet is not that good i m using this from last 1 month now see tata dongle is not free you have to pay 500 rs and see 1gb additional data is not available upto 650 rs monthly plan thus both promises by the micromax is fake and only to attract. my first tata photon bill comes above 700. so how can we say that this is cheap. for me this is so costly now see below price- 6499 tata photon- 500 monthly plan- 650 Rs per month= 7800 per annum thus total cost = 14799 this is not worth to buy reliance tab has sim /gprs , blutooth i think that is much better

If you can afford this tab for 6.5k & if u have a net connection at home, u can really afford wi-fi router for 1.5k. With wi-fi router, u can get great experience on this tab. The biggest advantage for this tab is ICS. No, phone calls, no sms. If u want to experience ICS at lowest cost, this tab is suitable for u. Don't expect too much from a tab costing 6.5.k If u want more or afford more than go for Samsung tab or Ipad3

see the tablet doesnot have any sim slote so it does not matters that the device supports only tata photon. Any 3g dongle can be used as the network if cdma/gsm depends on the dongle the devices doesnot have any own network expect wifi only the dongle is connected via usb so it supports all kind of dongle. And you can use 2g in 3g dongle

It's a good device. Using it from last two months. Almost all games and apps run without any issue.Comes prerooted.Wifi is good. No lags. Internal memory is good. Till now installed 40+ games and apps. Battery backup is the only issue i found till now. My suggestion, if this is your first tab and you have limited budget just go for it.

Its cheap and also good only one disadvantage its that it don't have a GPS. Ah.. of course it don't have a back camera but for this price a tablet with 1.2 ghz with GPU and 512 ram is always worth. I tried to use my Idea3G net setter dongle with the device using the suggestion posted here. As soon I insert the data card, the whole device shuts off. No chance of changing the configuration. Hii, ♫ I have been using this TAB since 3.5 months( I bought it in a week).Good experience with few hiccups. At the time of buying i needed a device as ebook reader and for browsing internet. ♫ while connecting it from ethernet port or wi-fi i never faced any problems, so if u have wi-fi availability this is awesome. ♫ Recently while using with USB dongle i found out that it shuts down and you need to connect to charger to restart it.(When i visited service center regarding problem they were helpless, i.e. Micromax don't have good service center backup) ♫ Video experience is good. I used it for watching while travelling and liked it with battery backup around 6-7 hrs at 50% brightness. ♫ Gaming experience is also Good (Mind its only worth 6.5k). [One of my Iphone user friend commented that the touch wasn't good, but Big screen is enough]. ♫ It do have 3.5mm jack and work pretty well over woofers. ♫ The attachment for usb port is worth it.( Used pendrive, USB dongles,Mouse,keyboard).although Hard disks won't work here.Even usb hotspot works well with it. ♫ Startup is a bit slow, but again i would say 6.5k :P ♫ sometimes it do lags. ♫ I am using Whatsapp since starting. U would need to download it's .apk file and then install. It would work with few hiccups sometimes. ♫ The problem of multi touch on screen can be solved by exchanging the charger at service centre. Finally i would recommend it for following users. * Ebook reader (Can use kindle app ) * Small scale Video usage * Browsing net (Only if you Wi-fi) Kindly don't compare it with galaxy tab, if you can spend money on galaxy tab, then i think u are wasting time here

I purchased funbook last week everything works fine . Actually i am quite happy with it ,but i am trying to connect micromax 352g dongle with airtel SIM in it but i am not able to. I am trying to avoid extra cost by avoiding tata photon as i already spent 2k on micromax dongle.Can anyone out there tell me how to use mmx dongle with funbook

Do not buy this cheap quality product.. 1> low quality hardware buttons 2> low quality Graphics 3> low quality Display 4> User interference is very poor 5> Very low internal Memory is 380 MB 6> screen sucks! 7> poor battery backup.. needs frequent charging. 8> micromax spoiling India's name by stamping "made in india". 9> screen abnormal functionality while charging.
