Motorola A728 - User Reviews

  • What linux distro is this phone running?

  • well well well this is best best phone that motorola has made.

  • My name is Donche from Nairobi Kenya.I'm a custmer to motorola A728 and my phone developed a short circute problem and can show display on lcd battery can not be charged through charging port. Pls advice me what to do bcoz i love it very much and i'm live surpporter of motorola.

  • I use Motorola A780. How to install application in that.

  • for the person who locked this phone accidentally, try password 1234.

  • toooooooooooooooooooooooo complicated poor practicality

  • This phone is gorgeous. However, I managed to lock the phone accidentally. does any one know how to unlock it or where I could find a manufacturers' password, whatever the suggestion i'll take it. I'm like a fish out of water without my phone.

  • Having Linux!! the best OS having excilent options ... Not to much easy to understand/learn but after being it's master, you will really enjoy it's OS. Memory is the major problem ..

  • 65k colurs too low

  • quite complicated...

  • fantastic

  • the design is lovely but functions too poor. a1200 way better but not as good design

  • very super phone

  • It is so bad no memory camera is vga very bad y would they make one like that it has nothin get the A1200 it is way better

  • i dont like the phone

  • bad Memory; too less memory..but good look

  • stupet motorola

  • soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo klllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll!! i really want to get it! every1 is craazy about touch screens these, so my friends are going to be like sooo jealous

  • chee!!!, i hate its memo

  • Had it. I switch phones about every 2 months to try new things, and the only thing i liked about this was that it was light and it fit so perfectly into my hand (being a girl). As for text messaging, this is a horrible device, keyboard is way too small, and if you're trying to text on a bumpy car ride it's very likely you'll end up pressing the send button in the middle of writing your message. Being in montreal, people are in love with the motorola razr, so seeing this touch-screen phone left most people astonished. People are so fascinated by touch screens here i don't know why. Anyhow, as a girl, i love my camera phones and won't settle for anything less than 2 megapixels, don't ask why, and i could probably say that for most girls out there.

  • good phon but idont like that it not have any slot for card but i like it look its very quet

  • good phone but not have

  • All I can say that i have spend my money for a phone which is just a garbage. No Zoom in the camera...., No MP3. It's all backwaas

  • only 8MB shared memory and no card slot? O.o LooooL

  • This phone has lots features Too many though

  • Today this mobile is too old in terms of features. its got a crappy camera lousy onboard space no expandable memory

  • Nice phone, i had a go with one when the motorola rep visited my store, touch screen is a pain mind........

  • the only i faced with the phone if i need to delete one particular file i need to delete eall the files individual files were not deleted and at the same the phone memory was not sufficient.

  • I had a A768i.Good mobile.woleheartedly agree with Allan suggestions.Iam very happy with the mobile but with deep regret I must say I lost it.Considering the number of mobiles being stolen and lost please install a tracking device/facility in Motrola making it a more meaningful and sensible buy.Camera is bad requires immediate upgradation. Can u help me track my lost mobile or at least lock the sysytem making it useless for the finder. my A768i IMEI No.is 353868000127376

  • The UGLIEST looking phone I've ever seen.

  • dis fone is cool dude, i'd like 1 of them. hope to get it for VALENTINE'S DAY Feb 14 2006.

  • cool phone i want it.

  • No card slot??? Must be wrong information. A smartphone without card slot is not right.

  • Hi, Everything is OK in this phone except memory... :(

  • 8MB memory only... sufficent or not?

  • can anybody give me opinion could u give me an opinion on the Motorola V600.i want to get it cause this v400 is killing me help please.

  • Gud day again! Motorola designer i forgot something and this is my additional suggestion about the Motorola A728, you also need in pda functions is mp3, a virtual radio, a email functionality for checking emergency emails and also sending and receiving sms, mms and email. Dont forget that motorola designer. Have a nice day. Thank you.

  • Gud day! I have a suggestion motorola designer about the Motorola A728.. First its good to have a touch screen i like that, second its os is linux quite great but it can have also a microsoft windows powered with version higher than 2003 and higher than version 5.0, third its bad to dont have a card slot? Only 8mb of memory... Listen guys, to design a phone with touch screen you need the large amount of memory for its pda functions, second you need the card slot for extra memory to work for fast function, third you also need a wifi for great attraction to people, fourth the mega pixel of camera you need only 2mp because it has a 65k colors already and last a large amount of phonebook memory. If you mind my comments you will attract a lot of people to buy it and you will be the greatest phone designer. Thank you.

  • What a lot of you (and seemingly almost no cell-phone manufacturer) do not get, is that there is a vast body of cell-phone users who need only a phone. My needs are for a phone that can handle calls, give me a list of received and sent calls, receive and send SMS's and synchronise with my e-mail and address-book/contacts. That's it. I am not interested in fashion, or phone-cameras (mostly useless anyway) or polyphonic ring-tones or millions of colours or MP3 players or how many games it has or can be downloaded to it or whether it can play mpegs or how snazzy it looks (the worst I saw was an ad for a phone that had as its most desirable (?)/most prominent feature that fact that it had a sleek, new, aerodynamic design! The mind boggles. Does that mean that you can throw it further than other phones when the person on the other end frustrates you?) or how many ringtones you can download to it or any of the other useless functions. The phone that I want (and would gladly buy at the drop of a hat) is not available where I live anymore (Ericsson R280), but looking at what is available and the cost thereof, I suspect my next phone will be a Blackberry device. At least sanity still prevails in that arena.

  • I dont know why all freekes about the phone not having camera that is how the company wants it. but courtesy demands advise them.

  • If this is a phone/PDA, it could at least have more inbuilt memory.

  • There is no bluetooth for this phone. No point buying this phone.

  • what the f*** is going on with motorola these days??they have gone up and down!!!they should be making 16 million colour screens that are touch screen and with 3mp!!!not 65k with some random cr*p camera!!!I f***ing pissed!!!

  • dear producers, i'm really impressed on this particular phone.. but to be sincere why doesn't [A728] has a recording & a camera lens .as it is like that with a gigantic size without no lens. try walk on that because am in need of it.i want to buy.send me the steps i'll take in getting it. yourcustomer yemi

  • My last post should have said "Camera Phone craze is old". Sorry!

  • I could not agree with Emeka more! The phone craze is old! It was a gimic to get you to use air time in the first place. The Japanese loved it and the rest of the world got it! Now, if we can get the companies to just get over trying to shove it down our throats, and start working on the real power of the mobile device...broadband and full internet connectivity without trying to strangle us for every single byte of service witha cost factor. Give it up, and just be happy with providing the connection like all the internet providers. In the end, the mobile phone companies are nothing but an internet provider. They need to learn this and that the customer is not going to stand behind a company the tries to nickel and dime them for every feature single connectivity feature. Rant over!

  • Personally, the Motorola A780 remains the closest to perfection.Anyway, what's all the fussing about the camera? It's just a damn phone and nothing more. What serious minded business man takes pictures anyway when doing business??? The important features which are the word viewer(to view your documents)PIM functions(Transferring data), Edge(high speed connection)are already included.

  • n this poor camera?

  • Why is everyone so concerned with the camera on this phone? It's a phone! I have an A768i which is one of the best phone/PDA components I've ever worked with. This looks like it's the same as far as functionality and the OS it uses. Get off the minor features already. They don't make phones with all these new age features so you can complain about the camera. And as far as the memory, do you need a laptop or a cell phone???

  • this phone is for the people who dream to get a touchscreen phone but in low budget so this phone is quite good!! aiming China market

  • Couldn't agree more! I mean they look great, but they may as well be toys.

  • Whoa..!!!! wat's wrong with MOTO...!!! CIF cam and no card slot with just 8 mb... hahahahaha..!!!

  • Why CIF...that's why: This is a business phone with all essential functions that a PDA should have. The CIF is just there to say it's got a camera, maybe for MMS and other things. You probably couldn't even print the photos, but that's not the point. NO business PDA has exceeded 65k color as yet, and doesn't need to. It's for business, and too keep the price down the camera doesn't need to be special.

  • Erm major problem is the slot. The screen res is 2nd

  • Motorola you are turtle, no slot memory, 65k resolution out and cif camera is umbelieveble.hahahaha

  • not everyone needs super hi-res photos. do you really print all the 2+ megapixel photos you take?

  • Why the hell are Motorola releasing this phone with a CIF camera in 2005 when 5Mp camera phones are out in the market?
