Motorola KRZR K3 - User Reviews

 • Motorola have discontinued the Phone tools updates for this phone. The latest version that comes with the later phones is version 5, but many on the market only have version 4. and there are 3 or 4 updates, that are called for when you run it first time, but none are now available from Motorola. Anyone got them please?

 • I've been trying to find another phone like this since my I PHONE 4S was Lost/Stolen. It only makes me realize what a great little phone this was. It was loaded with ready to use Apps, without all the Hub-A-Dub Windows Display. Best phone Motorola ever made. Sad to see it's been discontinued because all the others on the Market now-a-days are just made to cost more to operate, lose and replace together with accessories. Bring it back Motorola, bring it back!!!

 • This phone is the best, fitted with Java operating System, 2G and 3G networks you really gonna enjoy it when playing your favorite games and a lot of applications. When it comes to surfing its the best.

 • Im about to buy this phone later. Looks sleek and tough.

 • mine got stolen and i really miss my phone .. best phone ever

 • u need a wire that connects the computer to the phone

 • Hi, Is the ringtone loud? Can an alarm be set that rings everyday? Or we need to set the alarm every night? Thanks.

 • how do i charge my krz from my computer

 • Yes you can use it as a modem for your laptop. Just install the mobile tools software that comes with it.

 • help reset code for motorola k3 pls...??? ...

 • Apparently it can but I have yet to try it. I think any phone that can access the internet can also serve as a mobile modem. Check with your local telcom supplier.

 • Can i use this phone as modem to my laptop thru its usb connector?

 • I would say the batery power is average...in the beguining you get the impression that is lasts many days but with normal usage you'll get no longer than 3days...

 • i brought 2nd hand one, itsa very good phone .

 • its really a nice phone and is good in work but conserve it and it will work for ever

 • I donk understand why all marks (any)said :battery Stand BY 300 h, Talk time 6 h, when never the batterys work more of 2 o 3 days in stand by.I dont understand this.

 • How about the time of duration of the battery? I have one K1,and this is the only weak point of the mobile(only 48 houres). The K3 have a good time of duration of the battery ?? thx

 • i think this mobile is the great invention by motoeola. its quality ,size and camera quality are best

 • this is my first phone and i really liked it

 • nice phone.. id love to have one

 • Zoewwy.. Go to: it will send your Web, MMS, & WAP esttings via a text message.

 • someone please tell me how to use the internet on this cell phone!

 • hard to believe - nice to see under the car, ran over by a car !! still working !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 • it's not generating any heat, it's a nice phone, with a great sound...

 • Hi... Could anybody share your experience, whether this mobile generates lots of heat when you are on a call for around 20-30 minutes. Currently i own a Nokia 3110 C mobile, which is generating lots of heat when you use it for more than 15 minutes.

 • This phone did everything I wanted ... except keep good time! I bought it early 2009, bit it still had pre-2007 Daylight Saving Time for New Zealand (where I live). The phone changed time back by one hour at 02:00 Sun 15 March 2009. This feature was repeateable by setting time to 14 March, then 01:59 15 March and waiting one minute, both for my phone and one out-of-the-box at the retailer. This behaviour persisted even after sending the phone to be repaired/reflashed with latest software/firmware.

 • nice phone/features good volume , however im on my 3rd phone batt charging jack doesnt last , also phone acts up texts dont go through , im now going to purchase a samsung , not going out of pocket for the same phone that was replaced under warranty 3x

 • I had this phone for 2 years. First the keypad started locking up/freezing, then the screen started flashing randomly and stripes would go across the page. The battery would die very quickly. This phone cost me a lot in repairs. Eventually moved on.

 • well its my first Moto Expereince ...this mobile has got all in One! Some times flip make problem you cant hear when you receive a call but this heppens quite rare standby i dont know but i did more than 1 hr countineus calls and after that i was able to spend my wholeday as standby its a nice mobile! I hope i ll buy another Moto!!

 • The gifts are supposed to be "free", not US$6! There are several "chain stores" (not individual small shops) in Mongkok which sell phones...with good discounts and gifts. If you don't like the price / gift of a shop, all you have to do is: 1)Go to another one with a better deal 2)Go to the original one saying the other shops offer a better deal That's how the game is played!

 • In Hong Kong "GOME Electrical Appliances" have special promotion price on K3...at USD$130...no lock, no contract, plus 2GB card. I just purchase one and pay USD$6 more for a welcome gift set contain One spare battery, screen protector and standalone battery charger. Quit a good phone, screen clear and sound wonderful.

 • Well i receveid mine today, and i must say im truly impressed.....My previous phone was a BenQ-Siemens S88, and changing to this, first impression....Its fast... Nice screen, with very rich detail, such as sound quality, loud and clear. All features work nice, and it has a touch of quality in your hands, like if youre holding high end class phone of 500 or more... I still havent discovered many flaws, im still exploring it, but so far ill give 10 out of 10! Its a shame that the camera miss a flash light, which was very usefull as tourch light or to snap pics in the dark....Thats the only thing i miss from BQ S88......

 • I bought for 60...unlocked new....

 • Not sure about the price where you live, in Hong Kong many places are having "clearance" price on K3...at USD$160...no lock, no contract, plus 2GB card and other free goodies. USD$160 for a 3G HSDPA phone with 2GB card is quite a deal, even nowadays with those so call "new" phones. A new Moto VE538 costs slightly more than K3 in HK, though other than the 4GB external memory support, I don't see much reason to get a "new" VE538 over a K3.

 • Ok ill give a try to this Moto.....as usual the exterior is marvelous....

 • Best sound with built-in Windows media player 11 nice phone.. battery is good.last 2 to 3 days. OS is p2k05 same as V9 ( v9 has the lastest one.V8 using linux OS same as rokr series such as E2,E6,E8) 2GB max.. try AAC format better than MP3 becoz small size and ipod is use that format

 • nice work mate, dropping it and then asking for a refund! why didnt i think of that, nice one! tell you what, ill drop my car and then ask them for a refund, its a masterful idea!

 • How about the battery? How manyh days in standby? And the loudspeaker? Is it loud enough?m really keen on purchasing this moto but im not totaly convinced yet....

 • Due to the slightly longer dimension, I "feel" the keypad and internal monitor are slightly better than K1. Otherwise it depends if you need 3.5G. I bought a K1 around May for US$128 (unlock no contract) as a backup / travel (especially to US which needs GSM850) and my wife is using K3

 • is better to motorola K 1? how you think?

 • Im thinking of change my BenQ-Siemens S88, is getting old now, for this Moto. I like Moto, the thing is, and dont know about the battery life, how many sms capacity, and camera. the menus are the same old Moto style?

 • plz... any one buy this phone tell me about it ? good or bad ? camera ??? plz

 • Hey Guys its the Gownster again, can anyone advise me how i delete my browsing history in WAP?INTERNET to save my other half xFRANKY Gx picking up my tooter and finding out i have been swatching haggis suppers. Cheers troops

 • GUY GUYS GUYS YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE , well this phone OMG i pure love it to bits and man the camera is awesome. I am from the Ayrshire district and so proud of my SAY HELLO TO MOTO Cheers Men

 • how to access internet using K3?

 • Had this phone for about 2 months now. dropped it from about waist height onto a timber floor, and screen cracked. Trying to get a refund/ replacement but.... well, if you buy this be careful. from what ive heard the screen is indeed very prone to breaking, as my case isnt the only one ive heard of.

 • This is the best phone. Amazing!!

 • oooffff really a party star!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 • selling it ,, for samsung E250

 • if i search ebay there is a different model? is this a new updated version?

 • for the person who asked, memory limit for motorola k3 is 2 GB !

 • i dont know where to put the memory card in my mobile motorola k3

 • I bougth a micro SD 4gb but the phone does not recognize it. Any limitation on Memory Card size?

 • Hi SJp ! i thought your missing? Why you're not visiting k550i forum?

 • @ hmmmmmm Well your right when I touch the memory card and the sim the screen will go white... I can't replace my sim because i have so many contacts

 • hello good day. the k3 works best as specified on its specifications. i wana help some regarding some issues. .white screen, hang up, auto off---- ---i never thought it would work but based on my experience it did. i did simple... "REPLACE YOUR SIM".... not pretty sure of it.

 • hey dude ! Ur rite they r provding realy a bed service. Me facing the same problem do one thing, i do know rite addres is in samundra complex, ground floor go there and ask any budy ok.

 • @ Anonymous Well that's flip phones are after 1 year of use it's going to break. There's no phone in the world that lasts for 2 yrs. above (except those who are made in Europe cellphones)

 • I got my phone October last year and have been carrying it in a pouch and have never dropped or mishandled it. Now my phone's screen just goes dead. If it does reappear I cant close the flap - it switches off by itself. It will take approx. 3-4 weeks to fix, in the meantime I need to buy a new phone that I can use for bussiness purposes! Ridiculous!

 • It's a elegant and nice phone. Of course is not the best, but it have many functions. I'm really pleased.

 • @ cat scroll up until u can find "LIGHTING CONDITIONS" scroll to right until u can find "NIGHT" and press OK there done!

 • just bought the perl grey! It's restarting already! i'm bringing it back to the dealer for replace!

 • i have the same problem and my are brand new just bought it and by accident i master reset it and now can't heard nothing.

 • just bought this phone brand new by accident i master reset it now i can not heard not nothing when calling can anyone know how to fix it please reply thank you.

 • i just got this phone but i need a battery and backcover

 • How can i reject a call ? Thx a lot.

 • Very good phone. No problem with coverage, fast browsing. store a lot of msg good pic quality . video call works good only problem you can't speak or hear on the internal speakers when on video call. It was better if you could of switch from external speaker to the internal speaker. Only when you have the bluethooth you can have the external speaker off. Motorola this K3 to replace it you will need some new features to replace it. I hope you can make a new K4 with more feature like radio and flash for camera . the HSDPA works perfect. Regards youngsense

 • Actually you are saving you msg on the SIM. Go to the Message Centre > Options>Setup>Message Setup>Text Message Setup > Default Storage : Use Phone and not the SIM. Problem Fixed. Regards,

 • I just wanted to know if this phone has pre-installed games when you buy it and is the phone easy to use?? Thanks

 • uhmm..this phone is ok..im lucky cause i have the pearl gray one..haha! i just dont like the color of stone gray..its like vintage..yea..like the other girl was saying..i usually get tired of wiping the fingerprints in my phone..haha...but its nice cause its 3G and i can download many games and mp3s..thou im sad cause it doesnt have radio..hmmpf..

 • Why is it I can only save 24 msgs in this unit and will ask me to delete some so I can read incoming msgs unlike nokia less than 100?

 • How can i set the camera in a night mode? thnks in advance!

 • brilliant phone. Turn off i-TAP by scrolling through to Language - TAP ENGLISH - select. good battery life. But keys a little on the small size. Good signal reception and clear voice tones. Love it but keep wiping off those fingerprints ( of interest to Scotland Yard only)! Buy it. Aidan Heffernan, Co Tipperary

 • yes, it does have flight mode

 • does this phone has flight mode? ... thanks in advance

 • ~So the K3 only can store 30 text messages. Does it automatically save sent text messages? and if i got a bigger memory card, can i store more text message?s, how many in inbox and outbox/sent? also when the phone is closed dose it show i have text message/missed calls on screen/ and clock in standby mode or whatever?

 • i had purchaged motorola on 20/4/07 but i have some problem in my phone.i have put my phone on charging in night and at the morning i saw that the display was gone. not working.i gone to JAPAN MOBILE ON CG ROAD AHMEDABAD.they told me to go to service centre of motorola.i went there but most of address were wrong.i think the motorola service is very bad.and i can not bought any motorola hand set in future.its really very bad service.

 • i think motorola fones are good but they dont improve their cam.Not flash, autofocous, zoom. And not fm radio.....they are good but......

 • Is this phone easy/quick to get into menu to write txt, and then send???

 • looks good. someone can tell me i want to use this fone with my laptop as a modem for internet use. can this be used via bluetooth or usb cable. if someone tried, please let me know and how much download speed. thanks

 • Motorola still produce phones with the best call quality in the business!

 • do anyone of you faced any problems that people can't hear you, or sometime they can't hear you when you answer the mobile or they can't hear some words when you start talk or reply to them... I faced this problem now a day

 • i had one n i had to replace it cause there was something wrong wid da speaker n the other one the screens went blank and would not come on unless you open and close a couple of times exactly like mary..i used to love that barnd :(

 • i have had problems with this cell phone. I have had to get a replacement already.. the one that I had before the screens went blank and would not come on unless you open and close a couple of times.

 • im not a fan of Motorolla.. im looking more for features normally. My dad had a Razr and i HATED it's keypad. its like the same feeling you get when someone is scratching a chalkboard with fingernails.

 • Hey Lambert, no bashing here! If you want other brands then go. Do not ever soil Moto's name just because one ore more of their phones have bad interfaces. We have Linux and Symbian phones too!!!! And as with your SMS thing, I don't believes you. I had my hands on a pre-production model and it has stored 100+ messages without a memory card!!!! You only say it but don't you know your SIM card is the one storing messages, not only the phone????

 • Chip is right, motorola has the WORST user interface. if you dont have a memory cary, ur motorola phone will hold up to 30 messages, which means u will have to delete ur text every 30 messages u recieve or get. if you do have a 1gb memory card, it will hold up to 100. My NOKIA holds way more than that. i wont recommend a motorola for anybody. Get a nokia or something else.

 • Hi. Ive had the phone for almost 4 months now and I'm just so in-love with it. I've had a V3xx and loved it but this phone is a heluva lot better. it does everything the bigger V3xx does but is much smaller and way more elegant. I confess I bought the phone solely for looks alone its classy sleek and not too techno-geeky. but its also very functional. I use it as a 2nd phone because I have an XDA that I use for business. this phone I use for personal calls and everytime I use it, it doesnt fail to catch glimpses. If you want a phone that does it all, buy an XDA or Iphone. but if you want a very stylish and fairly functional personal phone, buy this one.

 • Yeah, Motorola phones are so "great" that every time you want to send an SMS you have to set delivery report option manually. And that's just a drop in the sea of negative sides of any Motorola's phone, dont get me started, i wouldnt buy one even if my life depended on it.

 • All brands use noise-cancellation in their software. It would be ridiculous not to have it. Crystaltalk is just a hyped up slogan for a piece of software inside some motorola phones. Other brands do it just as well or better, but don't need to go touting noise cancellation as a sales point because it should be a given. It's like making a slogan "with COLOUR screen!!#@%$"

 • To: TyTN Bet you don't know what you were talking about?!!! ...Read the mail below from jjsoviet. By the way, Samsung phones are all junk!

 • The CrystalTalk technology is a Motorola-exclusive feature. Phones using this tech have two microphones embedded on the speakerphone: one for adjusting background noise and one for adjusting the user's volume to maximise clarity and voice projection. This one is patented for Motorola only and if Samsung ever did have the same kind of technology it would have sued Motorola months ago, right?

 • I've been using Moto Fones from past 3 years nw,,,they r cool as well as easy to use bt then only problem i have is the sound,,its nt very low bt as compare to other brands it is....sometimes i wish if i cud increse the volume a bit more, bt then still m a Moto lover ...

 • @the guy who posted below: "(...)have the build-in technology which can cut background noiceto a minimum(there is no other brand that have this feature)" You are soooo wrong, mate!! My old Samsung D600 had it already - and the sound quality was so much better than on these models you've mentioned... I've owned a k3 for a month, then sold it because its screen is too small to websurf. But anyway, it was a nice phone, light and small enough to fit in your jeans pocket. And it never lost its signal, even while parking the car in my -1 level garage.

 • Let's get back to basic ... Motorola do produce excellent quality "phones" for making & receiving calls. The sound quality has always been very good(since day one when they produce phones, the sound quality is better than any other brand). Recent models(e.g. K1, K3, V8, V9) have the build-in technology which can cut background noiceto a minimum(there is no other brand that have this feature). Anyone noticed this great feature??? The build quality is very solid. My only complain is with the handsfree speaker phone, which is of medium quality only ... recent Nokia phones come with very high quality speaker phones(very loud & clear even from one feet distance).

 • I've had this phone for about 5 months and love it (now paired with an S9 headset I bought about a month ago). In reply to a previous poster I've never had a problem with any MP3 I've dropped onto it, it also plays Mp4 video without many issues either (back to that in a moment) I've also never had any issues with text input (other than it being an imported Chinese phone and I really wish I could disable the 'chinese text' option) Caveats... the 3G won't work with any US carrier I know of (AT&T runs their 3G on the 900mhz band which the K3 doesn't support for 3G, and T-Mobile (if they ever get around to it) is going to be a few mhz off from the 2100mhz that the K3 supports) As for MP4 video. For whatever reason, even though it has a higher res screen than the K1, Mp4's have to be encoded at half the res that the K1 supported for the K3 to be able to play them (it gives an error having to do with unrecognized video format or somesuch), go figure? Although it will support a much higher bit rate and frame rate in video than the K1 and doesn't have the "not responsive/stuttering" issue the K1 had if a video clip was over 30 minutes long at to high of a bit rate. Other than that I pretty much love the phone. Now if anyone knows how to make its 3G work with a US carrier I'd be ecstatic.

 • I purchased one of these three months ago previously having 6 other Motorola models all of which I was satisfied with. The Text/SMS system on the phone has a fault which Motorola are aware of but have not fixed. If you enter an incorrect character and delete it the phone reverts to upper case ABC1 or ABC2. This I find infuriating. Also it will not play MP3's with a bit rate higher than 128kbps

 • i think that this phone id really cool but if my stupid brother just bought a motorola l9 it would be so cool but the company of this phone should get an award.

 • @Hash... Well my Razr Maxx v6 did not have those ringtones which was very annoying. My maes Krazr K1 on T-Mobile had them tho. However, the OS on the K3 is more similar to that on the Razr Maxx V6 and not the Krazr K1 as u'd expect so chances are the ringtones will not be on it. It's best u go into a shop and look at the phone yourself to confirm cos i really dont know.

 • I think the phone looks nice, I just need to know if it includes the factory ringtones like "classic, continental, standard,..." and similar simple tones, any replies r well appreciated. thnx

 • this is the best of motorola phone better than nokia phone

 • i just bought this phone at a very cheap price. problem is, i cant get it unlocked without the technicians opening it. anyway, yep love the design but buttons r really hard to get accustomed to. not much function, but if ur just looking for a mobile phone with an elegant design and basic functions, i suggest u get this phone, otherwise, dont bother with this.

 • Nice design, nice to held in hand, but the function is way too un-user frenly. Speaker is soft and not too loud.

 • great design, poor features. but i think it will be better if combined with s9 bluetooth stereo.. match look. i love motodesign.

 • I'll get this phone in a few weeks. I want a folding umts mobile, and this one has an awesome design :-) *thumb up*.

 • i also agree..nokia's 6267 has a far better specs than this phone, it only costs P12k, this K3 costs P19k..horrible price..

 • @Anon i really agree with you

 • This looks like a nice phone but its price is very expensive considering its features. Nokia N73 has more features and approx. the same price does anyone agree with me?

 • I have this phone and i really like it for my frist motorola, normally a nokia girl. the one thing i dont like about this phone is where the browse button is!! but ohter than that nice phone :)

 • I love this phone alot

 • Anyone here can give me a good suggestion.. What motorola phone is really good to use? Is it the Motorola KRZR K3, Motorola RAZR Maxx V6, Motorola RAZR V3xx? I need your advise.. please It's just my first time to use motorola phone. I am a Nokia user for 5 years. I hope changing brand is the choice that i will not regret. Thanks alot.

 • I just got this phone and the reception is not very clear. Now my friends think I'm going deaf... I'm always asking them to repeat what the said. "What you say! =(

 • yes nice phone but all motorola phone is one shape no changes design

 • i Think that this is a graeat little handset.

 • it was priced at P18.5K at authorized dealers (memo x-press, etc.) when it was introduced, i guess the price increase is due to high demand. personally, i don't think it's a good enough upgrade to the k1, i'd rather get a v8...

 • This is the most OVERPRICED phone right now. It costs more than P20k here in the Philippines (above $425.00) considering its features. No FM Radio No OS (Same, old Moto Interface - Synergy) Small Screen in the inside Low Resolution Screen in the outside Bad Music Player Bad Camera - No Flash, Autofocus Bad Video Recording This should not cost more than Nokia's 6110 Navigator,Nokia's N76, Samsung's U700, SE's K810i..If you buy any of these phone, u get more features, plus a unique design unlike this overused design by Motorola. Bring down the price Moto, if you wanna sell this phone!Buyers are not stupid.

 • i've never see it before!!it's amazing

 • Isn't there a bluish color of this phone?

 • gr8t fone! there is nothing i would change, my boyfriend has the nokia e65, sucks compared to the k3!!! does any1 know of a website where i can get games an mp3's?

 • another great make by motorola

 • Great Handset--have shunned all motorola's in the past and I sell them for a living. The UI is hte best in any phone I have used and teh Grey colour rocks--I live and work in hsdpa/3g areas and access to online sevices is lightning fast--get this one or you will miss out(and no Im not being paid by Motorola)

 • please guya i really need to know either this phone speaker is loud & clear???does it have EQ??and also the speaker, where is it????

 • where' the phones' speakaer located?some told me it's on the front & some says it's on the back, like the L7 one.anyone?thanx!

 • how's the quality of the sound of this phone?is it loud?anyone???plz???thanx!

 • Hi guys, do any of you know if this phone has an option in which you can save your sms or put them in a certain folder as to not delete them? Tks.

 • Attention: Don't buy from e-buy-global.com ! It's strange that they got mobile phones 70% cheaper, e.g. 8600 Luna - $150. It's that odd, that it doesn't even cover production expenses... So, my advice: don't even write to them. They aren't really from Italy! Their host is somewhere in Israel! It might aswell be some kid playing around behind his PC, and getting his money off our backs. When I asked for their company's registration number, business rate, or something like that, the director replied to me they haven't got it for anybody. 'Cause that's something that has to be made public, so anyone may verify it. Thanks! Bye! P.S.: Please tell others, too!

 • WELL very nice fone i think............. i like it

 • nice phone

 • Motorola has the most beautiful handsets.. I'd never use that N95 no matter how many wonders it performs, just because it's d*amn ugly... Anyway, this phone is supposed to exist in the color you see (silver/gold) and in blue/black too.

 • nice and cool phone

 • hmm... im very confused right now, cuz im trying to figgure out wat handphone i should buy? i was eyeing the motorola krzr razor or nokia or sony. i was also eyeing to iphone. but i still have to wait along time till it is on sale in my counntry. i want to know. is this particular krzr available in other colors ? because i want to buy a not only gud handphone buy a stylish n cool one. any suggestions?

 • Yes.. easier way is to have a card inserted, then just drop the jar or jad file into it and go to Games and Apps within the phone.. Click Install and there you go.

 • Thanks dag....Im getting this 4ne on saturday bt i was wondering if it is possible 4 u send java applications and games 4rm da comp and run it on dak3 bcause ive already got quite a few now...?

 • Yes it is possible.. just using your regular Windows Media to embed artwork into the mp3 .. or iTunes

 • I won't go into the proper english but whatever :) This phone is NOT the same as K1 .. The UI is different, the build is different, screens are different (and bigger, both) The only identical thing is the size. It's great that gsmarena made a review of it... I don't know what the big deal is about SMS notification.. it bothers me along with many american users hehe.. but since it's a big thing in Europe , I'll let you guys know that it IS possible to activate it.

 • That phone simply just sucks!!! That is the copy of K-Razr which really was superb & stylish specially in blue Nothing special in that phone. I simply just want to recommend Its lover to buy KRazr Not K3...That is simply just the wastage of Mony...

 • The K3 is by far one of the best Motorola handsets I have used, rivalled only by the newer Z6. The speed of the interface, the clarity of the screen and the sheer prettyness of the handset itself make it an excellent product. The major downside to this product is the shinyness of the outside and in... like most of the newer motorola phones, it's a fingerprint magnet, and you'll be continuously cleaning it with shirt or whatever is handy. Compared to the K1, this is a huge step forward in usability and speed. There is very little to no noticable lag when doing anything on this handset, compared to the slowness of navigating through the K1. This phone has the standard V-series menu layout, so using it compared to any other current model is close to identical. The connection suite does leave a little to be desired, as PC connectivity via MPT is always a bit on the other side of possible. Numerous problems also exist with syncing with Vista. The media player is the best to be found in a motorola handset, obviously not comparitive to the SE Walkman functionality, but still quite bearable. It now can display by artist, album, composer and various other organisational schemes. All in all, a wonderful phone, let down only slightly by a sometimes substandard connectivity suite, and always susceptible to fingerprints. 87/100

 • Hey buddies for further and more vivid answers go here... :)

 • Yes, the ouside screen can be used with that purpose. The inner cammera works for self portraits as well, so it's up to your choice. This phone runs Synergy, IMHO on par with Juix.. And it's able of fullscreen pics either take or see them, and fullscreen video playback. Recording takes up most of the screen, not fullscreen though. Nope, it's not autofocus, but still takes decent pics if you know how to use it. Great phone, weeks later and I haven't got a complain.

 • Can the outside screen be used to take self-portraits? If not, can the camera on the inside be used for that?

 • As far as I know, only the Motorola's OS "JUIX" is capable of fullscreen. The MOTOROKR E2 has it and I'm totally positive that they will be including it on more phones in the future.

 • Thanks to all who helped answer all da questions-really helped-tnx but i have one more question-can you watch your pictures and videos full screen?

 • Does it have a camera focus?

 • Yes it is fairly easy.. And about samsungs I wouldn't know.. Buy it, it's very very hot :D

 • If the K3 can be modified to shoot mp4, can the same be done on any samsungs? Is it an easy process to modify for mp4 on the K3? (i am seriously considering buying this phone!!)

 • Samsung user.. texting is much better.. I have D900 but I can stand it hehe. Video comes out in 3GP but you can modify the phone to deliver mp4 directly. This phone is VERY loud AND crystal clear.. no distortion at all if you deactivate what I told earlier

 • Oh, regarding the video recording capabilities, does video come out in mp4 format?

 • Can anyone who owns this phone rate the loudness of the ringers? also, with me being a samsung user, i use T9 for texting. Is it the same for Moto's K3? Does this phone have a flash for the camera? (not that they really help anyway)

 • Uh I forgot to mention one of its strong points.. Music. Handling files is a breeze, fastest browsing than any moto out there (and other brands but I won't go there because of the haters) Quality through HT headsets is amazing, won't crack won't overbass... perfect. If you are keen on using the onboard speaker you'll be VERY pleased, the audio coming out of it is crystal clear, trust me. Better than any other phone, better than E1 wich had two onboard speakers. For those experiencing cracking issues, be sure to deactivate Audio Spatiation and Bass Booster, then you'll know what I'm talking about. Now activate those two for headset purposes, it is a must. Many of you might now already, but by pressing smart key with the flip closed, you'll be taken to a list of songs that you can browse using volume up/down keys.

 • I got this phone a week ago and it is AWESOME. Plain and simply beautiful, incredibly well built, sleek, a solid feel to it. It is worth every euro or dollar you spend for it. Regarding some of your doubts, the internal camera works just as the external, you can take self pics (wich is the only purpose I have for it since I don't get 3G coverage), you can also take video and have fun with it. You even can make fun videos because camera will switch with the press of * between internal and external :-D Phone supports bluetooth profiles such as A2DP for wireless music experience, but as any other moto it is not friendly if you want to send such as text messages, phonebook contacts yes. But no fear, if you're really keen on bluettoth messaging you can always use a Java app. to do so. UI is even faster than v3xx , v6 , and those are pretty darn fast. Color of the phone is gorgeus, it changes depending on the light that hits it. It varies from grey, to silvery gray, to golden siver, you'll be very pleased. Pics over the net do NOT do it justice. At all. Period. I absolutely love this phone, I used to have a v3xx but this feels 10x better in hand. About texting I assure you , you WONT outspeed it hehehe.. I write pretty fast and I'm on par with the phone, iTap is renewed and very easy to use, automatic word filling is a bliss. Overall get this, do not fear the v9 because I'm sure this one is on par with it (or even better because of the size issues many complain about since the release of the RAZR v3) This phone size is perfect and the 2'' screen is sharper and crispier than any other. Woah quite extensive comment, anyway that is how you know how strongly I feel about the goodness this phone represents.

 • Luv this phone, to the kiwi talking about the flash alas there is none in this phone, i had the Sharp 703 and was not very kind to motorolas in the past but now this phone rocks connecting to vodfone live is fast video and pxt are fantastic and the battery lasts longer than they say i fully chaged mine on a friday and have used the features alot over the last 6days and it went flat this morning so go and buy this awesome phone big ups from NZ

 • hi guys, is the current song editor software for this K3 same as the V3? Or end-result of the editted song's quality is much more better than the V3 softward? pls let me know..

 • can anyone tell me if this phone has as much lag when typing a sms like the razr v3. I have this phone now and that flaw annoys the hell outta me.

 • i had a question. can this phone use blue tooth techn. 2 copy someone else's address bk and forward their messages daily along with all daily calls incoming and outgoing?

 • Hi guys does this phone have an imbuilt flash? Found controversial info on the net cheers from NZ

 • its pro =)

 • I'm planning to sign up this phone under Optus contract. What would u guys recommend about the performance of this phone?

 • I live in Australia and I find I'm not getting anywhere near the advertised battery life with my K3. is anyone else having the same problem? I'm on the Optus GSM network (not 3G. I'm not a huge user of the phone but find I have to recharge within 48 hours which is a long way from 330 hours! A dud phone or battery perhaps??

 • i like this! but i have a question. can you take pictures with the internal camera?

 • hey the fone is so cool man rad on

 • i just go a k3 and i love it i like the look of the phone i am not a fan of motorola but the size and looks sparked me the phone has good features that make it worth buying HSDPA which is a must on phones theses day 2mp camera video calling too it a cool phone all good 10/10

 • Thanks for your review Zaki - I have ordered this phone through Optus (Australia) in the Dark Pearl - and I am eagerly awaiting it's arrival! Very excited!!

 • yea man, zakiwashi... ur information is very detailed and of coz extremely useful in every sense.. I think u should work for handphone manufacturers and assist them promoting upcoming mobiles.. hope to hear from you in reviewing any upcoming new mobiles.. cheers..

 • zakiwashi! thank you for your comments. i think you should work for gsmarena.com, or phonescoop.com. it has been very helpful.

 • Hey zakiwashi, ur information is really useful.. Thanks for clarifying those uncertainty issues regarding this K3. I think I will get the stone grey color.. Hopefully, motorola wont disappoint me this time... =D

 • If when you say "gold one", you mean the one in the pic to the left, the photo does not do it justice. it really is silver but the finish is highly polished, and an odd light has been used to tinge the keypad gold. it also is quite silver. still, hold out for the dark silver/grey version, it really is an eye-catcher. and fuji, i was merely giving my opinion, you are entitled to yours. i actually stated the sound quality wasn't as good as the V3X, the next handset up from the v3, which, given that the V3X had stereo speakers is understandable. you cannot deny that this handset mimics the form of the v3 therefore people will expect it has similar flaws...which it doesn't.

 • does anybody knows any website that shows clearly for the Silver version instead of the gold version? i'm interested in getting this phone but not sure about getting the gold one cus it looks pretty womanly. Thanks.

 • chill man, fuji... I was asking, since both models are under Motorola and I did have bad experience with V3. So I just would like to clarify certain things with those K3 users. By the way, Im not blind.. -_-'''

 • The sound quality is far better than V3. And guy's I think u r really blind- how can u compare this phone with V3? It is less wide a has great features!

 • the old v3 was indeed very poor in every way except style. the k3 is very loud in my opinion although a tad distorted at times. not as clear as the v3x which had stereo speakers. in terms of navigating the menu system there is no lag whatsoever. the fastest phone i have ever had, and with the HSDPA its lightning fast at downloading and sending photo messages. my only gripe would be the lack of a flash, which, as useless as it is for lighting photos, is handy as a general torch!

 • Hi zakiwashi, could you please tell me whether this K3 is way much better than the old V3? How about the sound quality, is it reasonably loud? Coz my old V3 sound was too soft though.. And how about speed in term of move into one menu from another? Thanks a lot.

 • Is the sound quality of this phone good? it is reasonably loud? Coz I used V3 before but the sound effect was too soft.. I hope that it is way louder than V3.. Thanks.

 • l like this phone it is better than the k1, check out the features, too boydayshose dude

 • i personally like t9 better then itap, but it all comes out to the same thing in the end, i dont find any difference between this phone to others, motorola is pretty much down, but if you like the phone i say it's the best choice of the motorola that's out in the market right now - daniel www.ctinyc.com

 • to guru- get some bluetooth headphones and you can listen to tunes while you charge the handset, although i dont know why you would want to?!

 • ...and yes, it can be charged via the usb socket on a pc, playstation or in fact any device with a usb socket.

 • forgot to mention the texting. Don't know what motorola have done with their previously unuseable iTAP but it works alot better. its still not T9 but i dont feel the need to throw the phone out of the window anymore. maybe i am becoming more placid in my old age. yes it has self portrait mode using the 120x96 external screen, you vain bugger! the voice commands actually work quite well, my wife and i spent a rather hilarious ten minutes or so barking commands at the handset with quite a good success rate, however the recognition is a bit bbc microcomputer-ish in the sense that you have to say peoples names as they are spelled, not as you would normally pronounce them. to mfwaft who wrote "My mate said that this is the fone that Warf from Star Trek and Joe Longthorn own, can anyone confirm this???" i can confirm this phone is endorsed by crooners and klingons alike, however getting a signal on klingon is another matter.

 • just to follow up, the opening mechanism is quite spongey and slightly spring loaded. when closed the flip has a small amount of lateral play on it. to souljabrian, don't buy a slider phone for your girl. she will only put it in her handbag with all her stuff and scratch the screen! this one's a lot harder to scratch. to those who think the interface is quite childish, i see your point but you can always opt for a list view rather than the icons. much more executive!

 • firstly this phone is beautiful. I have the blue/silver version which i got it to replace my awful contract lg shine which was the biggest disappointment of the year. The front of the flip is glass and metal, the rear cover of the phone is also metal, durable but dentable! I find the external speaker to be suprisingly loud and capable. At first the screen looks somewhat small however it maintains the 240x320 res of the v3x, which makes it look that much crisper. Also identical to the v3x is the menu system, which is fast and easily navigated. Unlike the v3x, the keypad, and infact the whole handset has a feel of quality about. Creaky v3x owners will know what i mean! I wont get bogged down with the camera as this really is a secondary feature and we aren't all David Bailey's! I can safely say, chuck away your mp3 player. This phone does it brilliantly. Lob all your albums onto your card( a 2gig will set you back 20?), insert into the phone and immediately it busies itself scanning for media. Now if all your id3 tags are up to scratch, you will be able to browse by album, artist, genre, most played and composer. Select an album, your tracks are all in order, click the first track and you are away, playing all the tracks in that folder, no mucking about with playlists( although you can still make a custom one if you want). This mp3 player works flawlessly with the motorola ht820 phones, and with the handset offering bass boost and spatial audio settings, your mp3's will sound ace. The v3x autonomy was, for me, an achilles heel. One day of calls and mp3 playing just about killed it. now i know this battery is brand new but i charged it the day i got it, went through a whole day of "new phone syndrome", as well as several short calls( telling everyone how good the phone was!) and over an hour of bluetooth mp3 playing, and the battery is still full. That was two days ago! I will post again if i find anything about this handset that bugs me, as for now it is the best handset i have ever used, coping admirably with everything i want out of a phone.

 • Yea I agree with wykx, a friend of mine also got the same experience.. All of a sudden, his mobile called my mobile, we were together at that time and obviously he didnt call me.. Since then, his motorola mobile just random call anyone on his phone list once in a while.. Gotta fix that, Moto!!!

 • dont buy this phone. its not yet on us market. it may be a counterfeit

 • okay motorola! We need a new design all metal, no hinge braking issues (razr). No cheap cracked face issues (Krazr) not to bulky. all cool chrome would be nice. Come on Motorola I'm waiting for on you. I've onlt owned motorola cell phones come on!!

 • no, the body of this cellphone is pure adamantium. and no you cannot charge it in ur computer using your usb. you have to use ur nokia charger for charging this moto phone hahaha.

 • i would want to know is this phone charge by usb if connect to computer? it the body outside made in metal as well?

 • I love cellphones!! Hello Moto!

 • This phone is spooked... A friend of mine owns one and while he was in the gym, it went nuts. According to him, it typed and dialed on its own... He didn't do anything... It was the phone itself...

 • this is my first time to get a moto phone.. im impressed with this one...

 • Great phone....much improved feature as compared to the K1. Although it's the same size & same solid construction as the K1; the look is not as clean nor as pretty! Speaker phone is still low quality, so is lousy quality of the camera & video quality!

 • hate the shiny blue thing apart from that yeah i agree its a pretty kl phone.

 • Good Very Nice phone, sleek and looks that culd kill some one !!! Bad So shiney that easily can get a scratch Ugly Only one ip/op port!! If you want to hear music and charge th cell ...cannot do it !!!

 • jbd or jbh whatever... You list a mere handful of HSPDA devices... get a clue, there are plenty: Samsung, LG, Nokia, Benq Siemens etc etc etc... Most companies have one or two in their stable.

 • This to mexico coming soon to my service?

 • Housemaid can't even speak english.....that's why voice activation is not working for him! Anyway, this is agreat phone by Moto, well done.

 • The features and dimensions are good but this device is too heavy

 • To the non-believer named mi_canuck who posted this: "So when are these coming? Would be sweet to see a new flip from Motorola that has a Linus or Symbian UI, VGA screen resolution (like the DoCoMo n904i - which has 480x854 screen res!!!), and is as thin or thinner than the RAZR... cheers" You looking for a Motorola that has linux and's a flip?... go to Bengalboy.com and look at the V9... also known as the Lazr (as BB calls it). When you're done viewiwng it come back and lets see if ure still a non-believer... also you may want to actually do some research next time b4 u begin to post ignorant stuff... then u would'nt sound as if u were. Information is power... think about that!

 • What are u talking about man?? How many phones with a 2.0 or 2.2 screen has VGA resolution??? If that is what you are waiting for....you will be waiting for a long time.... On the other hand there are some OS enable mobile phones from motorola like z6 and z8 which is coming out soon. The point is that many many people like the design of original v3, but they didnt like the functionality. So motorola has improved functionality greatly(v3> v3xx) and left the same design, because people like this design. Also k1 and k3 are NOT rarz-type phones. K1 was a brand new design Nothing in common with v3

 •
The people are so wrong motorola is working in new devices some of them could look like the Razr but they will be much thinner and faster, and with new features, so motorola is working in new devices slim, sleek and top category materials would be in...
So when are these coming? Would be sweet to see a new flip from Motorola that has a Linus or Symbian UI, VGA screen resolution (like the DoCoMo n904i - which has 480x854 screen res!!!), and is as thin or thinner than the RAZR... cheers

 • C' on people!! How many HSDPA phone are out there?? 7-8 models?? 3 of them are motorola(v3xx, v6 maxx and this one, k3) 1 nokia (n95) 3 samsung(z560, z650,z720). So, this one(k3) is one of the most advanced mobile phone today. Also, it is small and handsome. I like it!!

 • Another phone for the mass!!! Nothing special...only a smaller edition of the Razor!!! Voice activation command dont understand your commands...mabe its made for the chinese??? but it certainly dont understand english! Its ok in general...but Motorola is over rated...and loosing its reputation...I just got a Nokia E65...I am in eaven!! This nokia made me realized how bad and retarded the Motorola was!!!

 • Probably is the best in class handset (price standard)currently. HSDPA with cool mechanical outlook. Camera: standard 2 mp Music: internal loud speaker, wireless Bluetooth A2DP tech, dedicated touch key pad. Display: smaller than standard (only 2 inch), but good resolution. Battery: slightly above standard (940mAH) UI: Enhanced in terms of speed compare to old razr Overall: Cool HSDPA features is a plus!!

 • not problems at all moto has best hardware i have never got a problem with motorola k1 was quality built

 • I'm asking the lucky owners about the built quality of k3. Is it good?? Any problems with the opening mechanism? Is it at the same class as k1(I mean the quality) This phone is not yet available in my country, so I have no idea about the built quality . Thx in advance

 • sms are storage in sim card. You have to storage sms in phone memory.

 • Is anyone else haveing touble with storing sms on this phone? i love it but can only hold about 20 sms on it without deleting to receive more??? I have a 128mb card in it. Can anyone help cos its really annoying me now.......

 • Is there any gaps or wobblies??? I'm talking about the opening mechanism.

 • I personally am a Motorola fan but would like to see upgrades on camera(at least 3MP), longer and higher resolution video shoot, more user memory, add some Microsoft or Lynux operations for document views and media players for all of the SLVR, RAZR & KRAZR phones cause they're nice.

 • These phones are nasty, V3 nice then they produce this abomanation... as well as rest of Motorola's poor work!

 • is this phone cool i'm thinking about buying it for my girl or the motorola RIZR Z3 which one do u guys suggest.

 • Yeah that makes sence about the video quality, too bad its not just an easy setting on the phone to change it.

 • Concerning camera improvement... It's applicable to all phones as long as you can mod the phone. All Motorola or your provider does is set the amount of memory used to take pictures or record videos. If you study them... say for instance a phone you feel takes better videos... just record the same thing as your Motorola for the same time span i.e 10secs... what u'd notice is the better quality video is of a much high Kilobyte/megabyte. This is usually done so that you can record more for MMS purposes. For instance on my Maxx V6... previously my MMS recorded up to 16secs @ 300KB max limit for MMS... now it records only 7-8secs to reach the 300kb limit. Reason being cos it uses more memory to process the pictures thus.. better quality. Thats the only difference so when people shout Nokia's record better and blah, blah.. thats the only reason. I know this cos when ever one of my mates sent me an MMS it was only ever 8 secs while mine were double that..but inferior quality. I've modded mine anyways so the quailty is just as good now if not better. Note that when u do this you will obvilosuly be able to record less vids or pics cos more memory is used. Chances are the K3 has had the mod done so it uses more memory for processing them... although i doubt this very much..most likely gonna be the same as the factory setting Maxx v6. To do this is very easy... just check some sites such as www.motox.us and look for the "P2K05 Map"... all the seem edits to enable things such as: AGPS; Hot Messages(folder to store or create priority messages); Shortcuts; Ring timer(allows u to set the seconds before ur phone ring starts when a call come in); Java priority(if say ur using a java app...it allows u to set whther an incoming call should have priority and connect or if the App should have priority so the call does not cut you off); Java de-bug; Allow Alert(function that comes up in Video Setup.. never used it yet tho); Video Interactive Gateway; Live Video Share Service; Battery Save; TTY Set up; Autopin Dial; Start TCK(java feature) ... and probably some others i cannot remember, all which i've enabled on my phone. Kinda baffles me why all the technology Motorola puts on the phone are taken out by the Operators... just makes no sense. I've even modded my phone so when u charge it... instead of the charge light(green one by usb connetor) on the side light up... instead the blue moto pulsates on and off till fully charged. Very cool phone that Razr Maxx V6

 • K3 and V6 have very similar software... same Synergy/P2k05 based phone. K3 is just a 3G version of the K1... but lower in the hierarchy than the Razr Maxx. At most it's just as good as the Razr Maxx but still has less memory etc...

 • It has an updated interface. If you use Jbenchmark on this one, the results are twice as big than a K1 Really, the menu is different from K1 and v6maxx plus the camera is somehow improved

 • @motoman: K3 has the same interface like K1 & V6 maxx. Or does it have already an updated version?

 • it has a new interface people. not the old one from k1 the HSDPA is great CAn someone tell me if it is louder than a SE k750i?

 • the krzr k1 is gr8 n motorola hav made the sam fon xcept they hav added som features dat k1 is lacking lik 3g n vid call cam. also they hav made the front screen significantly bigr wich is a big plus. ovrall good fone. well done motto

 • same old krzr just beefed up with a better processer..3g cam..and bigger external screen...

 • nice features 8.4/10 8/10 9/10

 • Always this old crappy user's interface... Good job Moto, you suck again.

 • oh no, i just realized, thats moto UI again!!! very bad try motorola... why not use UIQ??

 • wooow 340h standby?? thats two weeks of standby, i think motorola is not telling the truth!!!

 • hi i wanna know is that mobile support TXT or PDF files and if can download acrobate reader for it or any thing read TXT thanx pz some one reply me on [email protected]

 • can this fone view full web pages just like the SE K800i or N80?

 • i agree. moto design is unique, they use nice materials that don't look like a cheap plastic. but one thing i noticed is that every time they add features to their razr line, it becomes thick. oh well, am a bit disappointed.. i say what really matters is what's inside the phone. .

 • hey this is the best phone from Motorola,. i preffer this than the N70 and more... in this the 3G.... good speeeed and alllllllll

 • Moto aint stupid, neither Nokia or S.E, they are great, i actually love moto, and they have all sizes and flavors so come on dont say they are on bankrupt because thats a mean lie, or should I say dont be an ignorant, if not go and learn about motorola history and youll find something good, motorola is motorola. So dont even dare to say the same design because if you are from a different brand (except Nokia or SE) every one is copying the design from the original models from moto moto, so sorry for you and my respect if you are a S.E or Nokia fan, even when I hate their horrible designs

 • voice memo, can i record the voice for the call i recd. which is more advisable krzr3 or N70 nokia

 • This is a very good phone. In typical Motorola style the design, features, materials, user interface and performance are very good. I would like to buy one in this particular line. BUT will only be buying one to replace my current phone if they add Wi-Fi, third-party software capability (Skype etc.), perhaps LED LCD screens to help improve battery performance further. Additionally, would be nice to have a button on hinge, or somewhere easier/more convenient, to flip phone open. Won't cry, but would like to see more colours, GPS (combined Bluetooth/GPS chip, anyone?) and MP3 player function buttons on cover and maybe auto focus for camera. But perhaps will forever remain a dream. To critics of Motorola design, I must ask would you rather have something that if you must have it with you doesnt interfere with your attempts to do anything whatsoever, however important OR trivial that you do day-to-day, or something that more or less resembles a brick? Personally, I think that if you want PDA/Pocket Computer functions, then get one of those. I understand people may not want to have two separate devices if the tech exists to combine the two, but why have a speaker and microphone on the unit itself if you cant hold it to your ear and input data @ the same time? Personally think that the effort of holding a phone to your ear for any lengthy period of time is painful enough, without the units being so wide you have to stretch your fingers to do it. Plus the units are damn ugly to boot!

 • looks quite similar to the UI on v6 maxx. This video seems to show v6 maxx ui more clearly. should be able to help those ppl make up their minds if they like the UI. but the speed on the menu operation of the v6 maxx really rocks!!!...got to change my nokia 6680 man!!!

 • i dont think the interface has been updated from K1 or v6 maxx...looks the same...see the video:

 • Like I always say if it is design and class, motorola is the king, the materials they use are unique they never look chepa, sorry but that's reality and the phones look nice not just like a concrete block like other brands, you know what I'm talking about besides these phones are equiped with enough techonology, if you want more get a computer, get a life, please, of course I recognize that maybe motorola shoul be improving a little bit their software because is important.

 • Hi john. Tat leaves sony ericsson? Come on! Their phones are way too plasticky & some have fragile direction buttons! Moto phones are metal. See video below.

 • I think it will be the interface that does it for me. I'm getting a contract soon. I hate the way there is too much choice but everything is rubbish. I wouldn't mind a Samsung but I think their interface is lacking and their phones aren't fashionable enough. Morotolas look great but function poorly + the cameras don't have auto focus which is annoying. Nokia I will never touch. LG has good fashionable phones and a nice interface but generally poor usability.

 • hi john, I think it will be a different user interface from the L7. this will probably be motorola's new linux/java platform.

 • Will the K3 have the same interface as the K1? Will they have updated it at all? I really don't like the 'I look like I've been made in MS Paint' interface on my current L7.

 • reminds me of the v60 color scheme...which i absolutely love!!!...quick quick when you going to release this???

 • saw a great video of this in youtube...really really like the brush metal feel.... enjoy...

 • Masa Allah, its a great stylish phone that people expect to have

 • Yow.. Kapan klrnya,I'm still waiting.style bangat nih i thing cost about $299 and I'll get ONE when 1st released

 • I know! I believe that it is supposed to be be released Q1, but only 3 more weeks and thats over. So unless the release date is posted just a few days before it comes out, it might be longer than that :-(

 • This phone will be avaiable in polish new mobile phone operator "PLAY" from 15 march 2007.

 • It is a good MOTOROLA phone. It will be My NEXT PHONE - no douth. Well done MOTOROLA ! A better phone can only I (developer) design. (Born in Mediterian , Living in Scandinavia, Visiting America)

 • ive just seen this phone. it takes a really good photo and has got great features. it just looks horrible. they should change the design more often

 • "omg dere makin dis phone over and over again. it's getting irratating. don't really like razr of krzr's not really "different" and it's too cheap in which everbody can hav 1 4 free" "motorola should be bankrupt by now. who buys there phones" Motorola isn't stupid, and they won't ever be bankrupt. These phones come out gradually better with small features adjusted. SOme people know that, so they wait for the better of the line, such as this one. The best of the KRZR line with 3.5G tech. If it's irritating, then stop looking at motorola. Why don'tcha wait until Nokia comes out with another plastic cruiseship with nearly all the same features? MOTO's all about design while also keeping up with the technology. It might not have what's so cool out there like symbian or even higher grade cameras, but not most people care for that. The number of people who're on here looking for phones look for that mostly. But that doesn't even make up for the population of people who look for phones based on what they want. And what they want is usually a good camera, maybe 2.0 and flash is a good add on if possible. The rest is about how good the phone's quality is such as form factor and ergonomics. They might look the same, but from the RAZR and the KRZR, to use each phone, there's a difference. Not small, but a substantial amount. On each Nokia phone, it's usually the same too anyway. Think of each model line for MOTO, each phone for SE, Nokia and w/e there is out there. MOTO builds on a very good progression while nokia's spending all of their development on slower techs at 3G trying to please each aspect of what YOUR looking for. Or atleast people like YOU. Personally, I don't like how big the nokias are all the time. And also how they always make the plastic so obvious. Nothing to conceal the fact that it's plastic. Moto on the other hand actually makes it look good. They don't leave their candybars as a whole cover of plastic around a peice of tech. They make it have a texture of metal, a different feeling other then plastic and in some cases, they use a special rubber too. Glass in cases with this phone and the other RAZRs. And when Nokia designs their phones to be 'designer', they're half failure, have plastic still. Taking the 7000 series into account. A few of them were really not ergonomic. And their Candybars have been getting boring. Though they may be slightly different everytime, whenever I walk by a retailer, I just see the same thing over and over again and I know it's Nokia. Nothing special about their Candybars. But MOTO always makes each of their flips and candybars different. RAZRs expecially. In some way or another, their whole V3 line is customizable by MOTO, from MOTO to make a V3i look different from another one. But Nokia, you'd have to buy from them either different coloured plastic faceplates, or go get 3rd party ones. I could go on about Nokia, but I've decided to give them a rest. RAZRs are overrated, true. But the true company with the over played song is Nokia with their over and over again similar Candybars. I can't ever tell on the bus which one is which. They're all 2-3cm thick and look like the battery's just waiting to fall out if the phone drops. BTW, if you look, there's a difference between MOTO's new and old phones here at GSMArena and very few similarities. If you look at Nokia's old and new phones, there are MANY similarities in general. Also probably why you think the RAZR is over used, or even the KRZR is because when you were younger and everyone had a cellphone, they had RAZRs and that's when it was cool. Because they have 5000000 units and even more across the globe. But nokia? not alot of people carrying a specific model, because they're not really big winners.

 • motorola should be bankrupt by now. who buys there phones

 • omg dere makin dis phone over and over again. it's getting irratating. don't really like razr of krzr's not really "different" and it's too cheap in which everbody can hav 1 4 free

 • absolutely beautiful!!! motorola phones has unique, smart designs compared to others w/ the same features and benefits...so why do i need to change phone if motorola can give me i want to have.....i assure you guys "MOTOROLA ROCKS!!!".

 • to jizzy, "NO BODY IS PERFECT".... never mind those people who look for negative of yours....just enjoy logging in and feel free to write whatever ideas you have.its insane to log here just to correct others mistake...damn that thing!!!!!

 • im sorry i just dont believe in releasing the same phone 5 times. each time with 1 new feature. and that was just a type error. and for your information the k3 would be too cool no to cool

 • My K1 can hold more than 200 sms messages...The K3 probably will have the same capacity

 • Conflicting reports about whether this is quad-band or tri-band. My guess is this will follow common Motorola practice to drop a radio frequency in favor of a 3G upgrade, i.e., it's probably tri-band. That's not necessarily useful to those of us that travel overseas with our phones and need all 4 frequencies :-(

 • So far nobody has stated the fact that this is a 3G phone. So if you don't have T-Mo or AT&T don't bother getting it. I will though.

 • Hope motorola will fix all its phone on number of sms it can keep. 80plus is not enough. Asian countries is different, we send a lot of sms for friends and family. Check each countries telco, how much we spend on sms.

 • I saw this phone in Barcelona. Wow, HSDPA 3.6 goodbye DSL 3MB connection at home. Its like a mean K1. The color fits this phone perfectly and the specs look nice. Great to see that it supports both EDGE and HSDPA.

 • what is the difference between the first KRZR?

 • i wish there was a date when its coming out!!

 • For me seems the perfect phone! Hope to have it available in Switzerland soon

 • My mate said that this is the fone that Warf from Star Trek and Joe Longthorn own, can anyone confirm this???

 • Yes it will be edge enabled

 • Can't u read??? check the spec urself and stop acting dumb! Gosh!!!

 • Will this mobile come with EDGE?

 • The exterior one colour design of the K1 does look much better than this K3!!!

 • The K3 has portrait mode with internal camera

 • absolutely beautiful!!! motorola phones has unique, smart designs compared to other w/ the same features and benefits...so why do i need to change phone if motorola can give me i want to have.....i assure you guys "MOTOROLA ROCKS!!!".

 • i love motorola model.slim and nice.

 • hi folks, i really love about the shape of this fone, now, i use L6 series and its great, im very satisfied. 1000 kiss from me, lukman, Pacitan, Indonesia.

 • Hi, does anyone know if this phone has self portrait mode??? Can you see ur self with the camera, like two cameras.

 • It's not true, this phone is HSDPA 3.6 and EDGE enabled.

 • you have a few errors concerning the data speeds. the k3 support : hsdpa, umts, edge, gprs, csd, does not have hscsd!

 • the maxx v6 remains the best motorola in functions

 • If they make this one in that super k1 blue, I'll trade it right away.

 • As long as they've fixed the STUPID dictionary feature they have on the K1, I'll more than likely get one of these. That one comes up with words I've never even heard of.... Hopefully they decide to do a black one. Then I'm sold for sure

 • when does it become available for purchase?

 • i have the k1 but his is better. i want this

 • still no brain!!! what the hell is wrong with Moto?! the most important feature about a phone, next to the looks, is the operating system! there are much better options out there nowadays in the slim clam shell design. i like the new Nokia N76 with Symbian OS!

 • Amazing handset, all features in a phone as slim and goodlooking as this, no one can match the looks; unbelievable !!!!!!!!

 • good job Motorola..but the UI still can be improved

 • Not enough features.Still stuck on 2 Megapixel

 • i wonder how the main display be... its so narrow designed...
