Motorola Moto G8 Plus - User Reviews

  • g8 plus sar value for body & head pls tell me

  • No, it has Panda glass.

  • If they release this last year with pie and eligible for one update i.e., android 10. it is justify for that model. they release now with one year old pie and update Android 10 and ur done. no more updates.

  • Does it has IR blaster

  • Does it have gorilla glass

  • Still waiting for native sip support for g6 plus. Not realy vanilla android. Moto is good at issuing models. Not properly supporting them.

  • It's a clear downgrade in "plus" line. no 4K video recording. and samsung A91 will have OIS like others midrange will come in near future.

  • The M30s is $270.

  • Not bad, Motorola. Decent display. Decent cameras. Decent performance. Good battery. And it's under $200. Certainly better than the G7.

  • If you need a phone with all the specs you described you have a problem. Even a 200€ in 2019 can manage the basic stuff. Like media consumption, social media and casual gaming. And can do this without lag or crashing apps.

  • I don't know what is the hype with stock Android. I had a Nokia 7 plus. I sold it after just 1 month. I think stock Android is the most boring OS out there. And phones are getting so much better that even on a 200€ phone there is no lag anymore for basic stuff. I had a S9+ at some point (payed 750€ for it), just for the fun of it. Half of the time the phone was sitting for nothing. Now I have a A20e, which is a 200€ phone. In day by day use, it has the same speed and function as the S9+.

  • Samsung M30s has much better specs than this one: 1. Amoled Screen 2. Fast UFS 2.1 storage 3. 6000 mah battery

  • The only thing missing on this phone is "Corning Glass" If they had bumped a very little on price and included that one, i think it would have been a killer phone. Think about it... I know it is a mid ranger. Just include that one required thing and Moto would have covered all the bases and would end up sold tons of this phone. Even Nokia did that mistake with 7.2 by using 660 instead of 665 for a much higher price. Don't understand...they don't do enough market research or they do this wantedly?

  • Great value for quality, long run will give money value not like cheap price but dead as soon as waranty end

  • What you are looking for is a 1k pricetag

  • You forgot Sapphire 120hz screen, front facing stereo speakers, quad dac, OIS on all cameras, ip68, 5k mah battery, no notch, fast wireless charging, e-sim, 5g, 12gb RAM, ufs 3.0........

  • Dedicated to shared slot is a thumps down in my opinion..

  • A phone under 800$ that meet all your specs is literally S10 lol Starting at 749$ Now even cheaper in some deals lol

  • You forgot about the G7 Plus

  • Why motorola is lagging behind in compared with Nokia in providing "All Android One" phones?

  • Mention 1 phone with Amoled screen,SD 855/+,256/512 gb storage, SD card option,OIS and camera that actually has in-sync with the other cameras and it's worth the pixels not like the fake 48 mp cameras on Xiaomi/OnePlus give.A IP68,Iris scanner, inscreen finger print,4k recording, QHD screen and durability proof by JerryRig for under 800 $ To be released this year as well. Also it mustn't be a price from China or Alibaba/Ebay the criminals or the shady sources from Amazon and not to be from USA (where taxes + shipping add up another 200 $) Also FYI if you mention OnePlus you will be incorrect since it doesn't have half the conditions i mentioned and costs 1000 $. If you mention Xiaomi then you will be incorrect since it doesn't meet almost all the conditions. Oppo/Vivo/Meizu have limited availability and have 0 software support.

  • People didn´t realize that Moto is selling close to stock android experience. Aside from moto, Nokia is the only OEM doing it too. And google with Pixel series of course. So, if you want top notch specs and more for your moneym stop complaining and go for a Xiaomi instead. Moto should have done better with the design, this phone just seem rush launching to stay afloat with other competitors....other than that is pretty good

  • In what world do you live in where you have to pay 800$ for top end specs ?!?

  • The Mi 9T has all the specs you mentioned: SD730, AMOLED, 6 GB RAM, Corning Glass 5 and 4000 mAh battery.

  • did you see the price?? its a midrange phone dude!! you cannot expect it to have all highend features!!! want high end? pay 800+ euros or dollars.

  • Depending on the price this could be a major go for me. 665 is plenty for what I use a phone for and will ensure good battery life on that 4000 mAh battery. Nice of them not to cut the 3.5 jack or micro sd too

  • You don't get Ois in mid range devices.

  • Ow Jesus! No 4K video recording and no OIS? Its dead.

  • No OIS? No, thanks.

  • The Motorola Moto G8 Plus resolution of the camera of 48 Megapixels comes to 1080, that is in FULL HD, but in the Motorola G7 Power its main camera of 12 Megapixels is at 2160, that is in 4K. Why did the camera resolution lower in this new model? Does anyone explain to me?

  • They have been putting 4GB of ram and 64GB of storage since the Moto G6 plus :l Motorola is dead :/

  • Is this 5G?

  • Yep I here ya no more Moto for me!

  • Processor should have been at least Snapdragon 712 or higher.

  • The M30s maybe but a lot of the other phones have huge AMOLED displays, but they're only 720p and have bad bodies and cameras.

  • fyi M30s comes with FHD+ sAmoled display..

  • You mean a30s right?

  • First of all moto should focus on RAM

  • M30s is having just 720p display, plastic body and crappy camera. Moto g series never disappoints in any of these category. Stop comparing specs!

  • So.... with these specs the new moto g8 is hardware wise on the same standing with Mi 3A. The only difference is in it improved display?

  • At first I thought that like G7, launching G8 on Pie will be a mistake, coz this unannounced phone looks good in every department. But now I think they will launch G8s\G8s plus with Android 10.

  • Camera is a dissatisfaction but this phone is very durable all around!

  • This is a budget phone

  • Alexa inbuilt?

  • It should be 712 / 730g processor, 6 gb of ram, super Amoled Display with gorilla Glass Protection, 4000mah battery is except.

  • Because of the processor 4gb of RAM will be enough

  • Didn't mention about the Gorilla glass. Did Motorola skipped that? And, people expect AMOLED dispaly if this one is priced at 13,999 or even 16,999 INR.

  • Moto G4: ships with Android 6 Moto G5: ships with Android 7 Moto G6: ships with Android 8 Moto G7: ships with Android 9 Moto G8: also ships with Android 9 Me: Thank you Moto, very cool

  • My honest suggestions don't buy redmi note 8 pro I am disappointed camera result is very bad honestly

  • I am Moto g6 user and it's only a good for daily use not other than that. So Please go for Xiaomi k20 or Redmi Note 8 pro those are better options than Moto g8. My honest suggestion. 🙏

  • We are expecting the better specifications like 5000 mah battery & Snapdragon 855+ .... Then it will be competitive in the current market situation ...

  • I've moto g6; .... It's now 9 months old .. it is working very smoothly as per my expectation because before that i used moto g, moto g2 & moto g4 ... had got got fabulous services from those .... Those were better than Samsung Mobile in that categories ...

  • Looks are nice, very low specs for 2019, still 4gb of Ram???!!!! Cmon !!!!!

  • I hope that at least a couple of the sensors will get ois like its predecessor.

  • I have a Moto E2 and I might get this

  • I've had two g6 phone. Had issues with both. I finally gave up and got an LG

  • Can't wait for release date. I'm looking for upgrade and I love my Moto G5 plus but now it's very old. If price is right with in its rivals it may be a winer. Stadis

  • I thought they released them all in the US

  • Their past history with G+ US releases would lead us to think it's not going to make it.

  • Why wouldn't it not go to the US

  • On paper, this does not seem like a bad deal if price is correct, although I hope this phone is not going to be in the G plus-line. G7 plus had features which other phones didn't have in its price range, such as OIS and stereo speakers. The only two things it lacked were OLED screen and (maybe) wide-angle camera. Let's wait and see when it gets released.

  • C'mon Moto, please get this G8+ to the US!

  • G series started in 2013

  • G is a budget, not entry level

  • Will this also have AT&T tethering issue like the Motorola One Zoom does?

  • My only guess is G line is the new entry level series replacing E series

  • right

  • No, pls it's not a Motorola. It's a Lenovo.

  • Why not amoled display,it's almost 2020,

  • Since when a 350 USD ( assuming it will launch at G7 plus pricing ) phone become a budget phone ?. There are other phone brands who provides SD 730 or SD 675 along with AMOLED and In-display fingerprint reader in that price range for example Redmi K20/Mi 9T(300 USD) and Samsung A70(370 USD) respectively. Samsung M30s has 6000 mAh, AMOLED panel along SD 665 level processor for 200 USD. So what's so wrong if anyone is asking 5000+ battery AMOLED Panel along with 700 series SOC for 200 USD ?

  • Is Motorola having such low demand of G7's that they'd rather just release the G8 Plus now? I'd rather wait until MWC and have better specs, better cameras, and a clean stock Android 10.

  • For everyone complaining about how you want it to be €200 and to have a AMOLED display and 700 series SoC and a battery bigger than 5000 mAh, stop, this is a budget phone, think before you post.

  • Oh the crybaby comments when it hasn't even been announced yet. If you're looking to moto to equal up to comp, you're gonna have a bad time. How long did we ask for them to put FP sensor in moto logo on the back??? The Moto X, 2nd, and the Nexus 6. LED panel is all you're going to get in a Moto G, suck it up or don't buy it. Apple still uses LEDs and and probably will with their new se 2 when it comes out...no one will complain just like no one didn't buy the XR last year when it only had the equivalent of 720p screen. It has a 4000 mAh battery which is bigger than the pixel 4 XL with a 1440p, 90 hz refresh rate....that's gonna get anyone through a day. It has ultra wide camera, way more useful than zoom, again pixel 4 anyone!? No Gorilla glass? Seriously you're going to put it in a case anyway, spend $16 dollars at Amazon and get a 5pk of screen protectors and a case before you buy the phone so you can put it on as soon as you get home with the phone. This is child's play people and nothing that cant be rectified. Unlike the Galaxy getting rid of security sensors for hole punch cameras, LG making phones literally no one will buy or like Google consistently taking things away from us and charging more for their inferior devices. Wait for it to be announced before you cry yourselves to sleep over the phone you won't be buying anyway because the OnePlus 7T is too good a deal to pass on.

  • Yes. Come on Motorola. Think new.

  • It's prob gonna be €350-€400

  • Moto G is a budget line, when you buy budget smartphone you dont give a flying about design

  • Those who buy stock android who know wassup.

  • every Moto G has had gorilla glass, this one is going to have it too

  • No dedicated sim slot no in display fingerprint no amoled screen no 700 series processor old boring design...come on motorola wake up it is 2020 almost

  • hu buy motorola in 2019-2020 ???

  • Where is our helio G90? O3O

  • depending on the price I could buy. But still no gorilla glass. That sux. Also a bit too heavy for carrying

  • I don't like hybrid sim slot very bad😧

  • No Amoled Screen, No Gorilla Glass Protection, Competitors offering snapdragon 712 in the same price range.

  • Can't*

  • why can motorola provide amoled or oled screens

  • if these goes for 190 euro then i will say yes even if tick is too much
