Motorola Moto X (2nd Gen) - User Reviews

  • How is this mobile in terms of gaming?

  • Yes Moto x2 is awesome My favourite phone 😍😍😍

  • The problem is solved by checking the two holes on the back of the phone. There are microphones used to reduce background noise. If these holes are covered, there are sound interruptions. The protective cover must have holes...

  • I also have this same problem with mine

  • My Moto X will turn 4 in May 2019. It's a good phone except for one problem. I had internal speaker problems from time to time. These got more frequent as the phone gets older. Now, I can' use the internal speaker at all. I either have to use headset or put the call on speaker, which is very uncomfortable for me while in public. It's a really nice phone. But, the sound problem was a persistent pain in the neck.

  • My moto x 2nd gen fell down on it's screen once but it did not get any crack. but now it won't charge or at least the screen won't show a thing. I'm now stranded

  • I used Motorola Moto x for two years now but my glass is broken how I can fix it I live Zanzibar Tanzania.thank you

  • Also I had never broken a screen of cell phones that I had and I broke this twice, but I will clean it again because I loved the device. For the price that I will pay for the repair, here in Brazil I do not buy anything from his resources.

  • i want motrolla x2 touch

  • Factory reset or terinstal. I downgrade my first X because 5.1, because app optimizing every boot, just visit dxa

  • Try LineageOS or Mokee and you will have updated Android, friend ;) Just saw that there is someone developing Mokee 81 (Android 8.1) for this device, after analyzing development recent history I think one owning one of there Moto X should go Mokee.

  • Have had this phone since launch day.I'm not someone that needs storage,so 32Gb is perfect. This phone only lacks in the ram area, where many modern apps require more than 3gb of ram and the short battery lifespan,i have had to replace it twice since getting it.

  • I like this phone more but the big problem it's not upgrading to 6.0 and the present problem is that it becomes hang then restarts.

  • The right question, which version? Asia/erope or us, than ask jio make VoLTE, so compatible device just need visir google play and download

  • Yes I bought it. And its awesome. Superb and marvelous. Battery is just okok Turbocharging is enabled. 4k video recording and playback possible

  • Which app do i use in moto x2

  • I've had the moto x 2nd gen for way over 2 years. The battery started to go bad so had a new battery put in. Really like the phone only wish it had extended memory. That is the biggest fault about this phone for me.

  • Bought mines in 2014 and it's been great except battery and camera. The battery is dying a lot faster but that's due to age and use. I might change battery but it's a pain removing the back.

  • Iam using Moto x second generation for last one year .camera is awesome speed and battery life is perfect.

  • i found today that 32GB edition of moto X2nd gen is sale for INR 8000/- is it for this amount..

  • Mine just stopped connecting to WIFi yesterday.

  • Its almost like you are talking about my phone. It feels good in hand, but speaker in phone mode does not work, only able to hear it when I put on speaker... Need to change the battery as well. It is hardly 1 day life.

  • I use it everyday in 2017 too and it is even better than most new phones. After my iphone broke for 2 nd time i buy motorola x and i could not be more happier!

  • Got this phone in Feb 2015 and by March of 2016, the phone's speaker blew out and I had to use a headset to be able to take calls and hear them. The battery life is also pretty abysmal. The camera leaves a lot to be desired. Feels nice in the hand and the user experience is pretty good but I definitely cannot recommend it as there are way better options in this price range.

  • It's 2017 and it's a great phone still. My only issue with it is a small storage space - 16 Gb.

  • rumors says that AT&T and VERIZON versions are not gonna have android marshmallow update................and that sucks!!!!

  • I am using moto x 2 since Oct 14.This is the 3rd time home button has stopped working.I got it repaired just 2 months back for the 2nd time.Repair agency does not give any warranty. This appears to be inherent problem. Also it gets very hot for no apparent reason. Any answers~?

  • Ummmmmm.....no.....it's got Gorilla Glass, and does not break that easy. You must be thinking of another phone.

  • SoC non GPU will be coller than with gpu, try galaxy y. Motorola so far the coolest along smartphone with GPU

  • The phone does not have a barometer.

  • yes, in my case I'm facing the same problem, and sometimes when the battery is near to 15%, it simply turn off and take a while to turn on again. I think that replace the battery can be a solution.

  • Like most flagship Android smartphones, the back gets too warm to hold. This is very unpleasant and spoils an otherwise great phone. The SD801 was manufactured on the 28nm process, and running at 2.5GHz is simply too fast to keep things cool. If smartphone makers hadn't been so obsessed with speed they could have run the SD801 at 2GHz and turned down the voltage, producing a cool running phone and one that you could hold comfortably without severe discomfort. The battery life would also have improved. Slow and cool running A7 cores are so much better.

  • If it bothers you that much then turn Battery Saver off.

  • battery is draining at much faster rate now, I've been using this phone since 1.5yrs . even though I have turned most of the Moto functions (actions, display, voice) off then too it's not helping. is someone else also facing such kind of probs?

  • Sometimes my phone shuts down after 10% remaining battery and the phone is fully dead .Is there any fault in battery or something else

  • As amazing as it can get. Quick capture feature has achieved in capturing so many beautiful moments. My photography skills are highly appreciated everywhere because of this phone. Sturdy body and Gorilla Glass saved the phone from another mishap. No complains with processor, battery for past 3 years. I wish I didn't had to use the mobile cover. The smooth sleek metallic side is too much of a luxury for me and I had to protect it. Also, I wish Google support Moto X2 and allow upgrade to marshmallow or nougat.

  • Amazing phone as many have mentioned. It does not lag or slow down anytime, as its in Market for quite some time the price have reduced and its a worthy phone to spend your money considering the hardware...the only thing we need to be concerned is the need for a good screen protector to avoid damage as the display is quite brittle and prone for cracks from fall. Having a good mobile protector and a screen protection in place you will really love this thing for a long time. The price have not reduced for a long long time and it speaks what it is.

  • I use this phone for about 1 year right now and this phone really rocks no lags at all and the camera is good if you are skillful in photography so for my experience this phone really worth for your money, and if this phone has a micro S.D card this would be perfect for other person.

  • What a fantastic phone! We've got 3 of them, been using them for 2 years, and they're totally reliable. No reboots, no crashes, nothing. Focussing the camera is a bit annoying, though. Wanted to replace one with a Moto Z, but I had to send that to the service contractor, was broken after 4 days of use. X2 seems to be built to higher quality standards. So, I'm back on the X2 and don't miss ANYTHING. Really! Still worth buying.

  • I love this phone. It is a super performer. No complaints.

  • this smartphone don't have barometer and temperature sensor.

  • While this phone may be water resistant, it is certainly fragile in other departments. I have never broken a phone in my life and I've broken 2 of these...disappointing. Despite the lack of micro SD card slot and the fragility of this phone, I still love it and want another; too bad it's still too pricey for such an old phone!

  • Isn't it a bit unfair to expect spares for a 3 year old device promptly?

  • This phone has been absolutely perfect from day one more than 2 years ago. The only small annoyance may possibly be the lack of a Card Slot. the phone comes either 16 or 32 GB, unfortunately I got the 16 GB one, which has proven to be insufficient for my music and apps at the same time.

  • i submerged mine in my fish bowl wid video playing on it.. was for 3 minutes. phone was still alive and ok.. lol

  • What do you mean? The phone escaped from your palm, jumped and committed suicide? I too bought this phone in 2015 and using till date. It's been a pleasure to use, all this while. You dropped the phone and broke it. Your carelessness doesn't define the phone.

  • Yep thats true, its been 1 month n 5 days still no words.

  • Iam using Jio sim in this mobile it's working excellent all u have to do is to download Jio 4g app from play store

  • hi i'm from iran and i have moto x 2nd gen xt1085 16GB i want to update my phone to android mm by xml file anyone can help my plz?

  • Yes

  • moto x 2 gen. Battery not available. dealer quoted Rs 4000/-. delivery committed 4 weeks. Poor service .secunderabad area.

  • After the latest update.. Jio sim has start working..

  • Great opinion.....hat off

  • One of the best phones i ever used.. im using this phone since 2 years.. no single problem. It fell down so many times. It had got dents scratches but no problem..workz exactly as i want to.. hats off moto

  • I am using Moto x 2nd generation. But it's not supporting Jio SIM.i am confused as it is LTE phone.if some body uses Jio SIM on the same phone.plz let me know how to use it.

  • Moto x (2nd)

  • mine fell right into a clean toilet. I grabbed it within seconds and all was A-OK.

  • It's definitely not waterproof.molorola markets the phone saying it's splash proof. Not waterproof. like rain doesn't do any damage.but immerse the phone in water and your mobile is fried!

  • you don't even know which phone you are using. xD it maybe Moto X Style, its has mmc slot

  • My Moto x2 shows only emergency calls

  • Is it a waterproof mobile?

  • how but here in my mito x 2nd gen its not showing any network

  • Moto x2 suppprt in jio network

  • the second gen moto x does not have a micro sd card slot the one you own must be moto 'G' second gen

  • i dont understand why you say 2nd gen doesnt have a memory card slot. i have a second gen moto x and it has a card slot

  • I like it.. but only 1 time I have let it fall ..the display glass was broken and I couldnt change it

  • it has lte (4g)

  • Good but not 4g

  • Nice One.

  • Why they would make a phone without expandable memory is crazy .. Whoever wold buy a phone without expandable memory is crazier.

  • One of my favorite phones while it lasted. Not water proof like they claim.

  • True, great while they last tho, (except Android 5) mine is having issues with front and back peeling off and the charging port beginning to fail

  • It was amazing on Android 4.4.4 but when Android 5 came around, it was a buggy, cancerous mess, new features were kinda nice tho, also, it is impossible to unlock bootloader on carrier versions (at least at&t (mine) and verizon) so no Cyanogenmod 14.1 sadly

  • I am using moto x2 this mobile is Jio support and super awesome battery backup and super display clarity and back camera is awesome super mobile my opinion is buy this mobile and enjoy

  • Thank you

  • What happens if i put another battery of other companies in moto x2nd gen..is there problem in future

  • This phone supports turbo charger.when you plug turbo charger turbopower written on it.As u can c in specification quick charge

  • Click on 'specifications' (above your post) and scroll down to 'Features' to find the answer. It really is as simple as that! I don't know why you people don't bother to look before asking other people to answer!

  • Does this phone support Motorola turbo charger if it supported please give me reply

  • cant fine the icon of my front camera on the screen

  • Original cord? Mine sometimes does that when I use a different cord, but when I use the one that came in the box it charges normally.

  • Doesn't last more than a year and won't connect to Wifi after a year

  • No..im using 5.0 volt n 1 ampere charger as it charge good n make it 100 % but after that my battery turns of after 95% n i hv to turn on phone with pluggin the charger n after turning on it becomes 52%,thats the problem im facing now adays

  • I think you are using low rated charger. Use 5volt 2ampere charger to charge moto x 2nd gen.

  • Guys I don't know y some of your devices doesn't work with jio..! I am using it for the past 2 months with my moto x2 device.. It works perfectly fine!!

  • Hello please tell me how it's work,i have jio sim but network not comes

  • hi guys what phone should i get moto x 2nd gen? or lg g3?

  • I really hate a mfg. who puts out an expensive product like the motox, and doesn't include a manual to guide you through the infinite possibilities.

  • When the battery reaches 10%, the phone turns off...

  • Same problem

  • Its already on (turn off volte flag provisioned)....nothing hapen.

  • How brother plz tell the steps I'm not getting network of jio

  • I easily get a full day with moderate use. Been using this as my daily for 12+ months now, never wiped.

  • i have a moto x 2nd gen model-XT1092 its show 4g but donot spott 4g i have a 4g jio sim but not sport its a indian device

  • Yes it does.

  • I use to get 1 complete day of charge. 100% @ morning ~~~ 35% by night.

  • How much battery life?

  • i m from india. can i use 4g in india. does this phone support indian 4g bands?

  • no official update to 6.01, now only 6.0 vulnerable to quatrooker attack

  • phone is volte supported no need for 3rd party app dail *#*#4636#*#* then goto phone info and u will get a option to enable or disable volte

  • There are two big problems with this phone. Firstly the camera quality is just total garbage. It has enough megapixels but it really struggles to take focused shots, mainly because the low light performance is awful. If you want to take a picture in any conditions other than bright sunshine you are out of luck. Secondly, the phone is pretty much dead by 5pm each day. You are constantly having to worry about the battery level. I upgraded to a Nexus 6p and I am so glad I did, it is an amazing phone.

  • i have bought jio sim and am having moto x 2014(xt 1092) which supports 4g LTE and i am not able to receive signal and it is showing emergency calls only and i got my sim activated from my friends phone can you suggest any methrod for this problem so that signal can be recevied

  • i have bought jio sim and am having moto x 2014(xt 1092) which supports 4g LTE and i am not able to receive signal and it is showing emergency calls only and i got my sim activated from my friends phone can you suggest any methrod for this problem so that signal can be recevied

  • When I search in setting menu " enhanced 4g lte mode" it actually appears but when i click on it nothing happend.

  • 16GB is not enough for me... I need at least 32GB! For big games like Asphalt 8!

  • You did this with your Moto X? It worked? lol I'm almost selling it...

  • Hi Vigesh.. tell me how were you able to generate code? On my phn, i am not getting code

  • I am unable to generate code for jio sim on my phone. Those who are using jio sim, please help.

  • Yes it has, just click in the first row "Network" on EXPAND to see the specs

  • this is 4g? yes or no

  • Thanks...

  • hello vigesh can u plz help me about telling that how can jio sim work with the moto x 2nd gen xt1092? im resalyy pissed off by plz reply

  • The actual answer is yes and no. As for now the phone is not volte powered though the hardware can support volte. So by a software update can fix this. Thus you cannot call on your 4g network. But jio has a special app called jio join. With this u can call with a non volte smartphone, but u must be connected with mobile data. So yes u can call using jio 4g with jio join

  • Is Rel jio working with this phone?? I mean to make calls etc

  • Is the 16GB enough? It doesn't seem to be enough to me...

  • Go for Droid turbo, More power full processor 3gb ram and good camera..

  • Moro x 2nd gen or droid turbo 1? Which and why?

  • @Kokada Try recalibrating the battery. Use the phone until the battery is totally exhausted (0% - 1%). Then charge to 100% with the phone switched off. Repeat that another two times.

  • Yeah working lohit

  • Yeah Moto x2 xt1092 working jio sim now im using jio only

  • Does Reliance JIO 4g work with this set?

  • No, it's not in battery safe mode... it's always off. When it reaches 10 - 15%, if I'm playing any game(specially Asphalt 8) or using GPS, the phone turns off... A seller at Motorola store told me that this is also happening with his Moto X Style. So now I'm thinking to change to Moto X Play or Moto G4 Plus... :-(((( I'm afraid that it happens to Moto X Play too... On the other hand, I have a friend that plays a lot of games in his Moto G4 Plus and the battery is normal...

  • Barometer? I don't think so. Mine at least doesn't have this feature.

  • Great phone, front facing camera is very laggy though and seems to suffer very low frame rate, also the phone doesn't have a barometer, other than that it's a great phone, very fast, good camera and not full of bloatware like Samsung's, torch is not as bright as previous phones such as the Moto G but to be expected from 2 small LEDs, charges really quick with a charger that can supply 1A+ and the main camera is very good indeed, would definitely recommend to others looking for a cheap high end phone.

  • Does this phone supports VoLTE ?

  • Don't downgrade your phone if you havd updated new operating system. You should update every apps that was preloaded to your phone to the latest version. Many users upgrades their operating system but nobody thinks about the phone's preloaded apps and softwares. When you upgrade your operating system, your phone gets new features, more speed and a new working system that is better and more powerful than the older operating system. But, to get these features a operating system depends on a phone's hardware and preloaded softwares. So, although your phone's hardware has capability to get new OS, but your phone's preloaded apps' older version don't support it and can't give enough power to OS. so, to work properly a new OS stretches a phone's hardware. This causes system crash, phone hang and battery problem. So, when you upgrade your OS, you should upgrade your phone's preloaded apps to the newer version. Then do a factory reset and wipe cache. Hope it helped.

  • This happens when you have Battery Saver turned on. Go to Settings/Battery. Tap the menu button (three dots) on the top right corner. Then tap Battery saver. You will see 'Turn on automatically'.. If it states at 15% or lower you can change it to 'Never' or use the slider at the top to turn it off completely.

  • What's app name? Which use for yellowish screen.

  • Anyone else experiencing battery issue problem? My Moto X 2 turns off when it reaches 10% or 15%. Specially when using GPS. Is it worth to downgrade from Marshmellow to Kit Kat?

  • You can download app off gplay store. It adjust the colors to make the screen not so "yellowish"

  • My moto x is still on November 2015 security patch. Why is not Motorola providing security updates. :(

  • Moto x2 has better performance.

  • which cell recommend, moto moto x2 or x play ????

  • Hehe usually

  • No no... It's absolutely normal., I don't know if it is a bug. It can be said as improper rbg calibration if considering as a bug.. but it adds advantage too like blue light filter and battery saver

  • I have a moto x and screen is warm and yellowish...is it a hardware defect? If not how to fix it?

  • Moto X 2nd gen much better than RN3 and LeTv

  • can i get moto x phone any other motorola phones in Nairobi bcz i did t see in the market

  • Any battery problem, while playing Asphalt 8? I did the wipe cache but it looks that it didn't solve the problem... the battery is draining too fast! Also, charging is really fast, but suddenly the battery has moments that drains too fast, even in stand by mode. I'm using Marshmallow 6.0

  • Actually yes you can as long as you have someone that knows how to unlock it well.

  • also have stereo sound record.

  • Just bought 16 gb moto x leather from flipkart .... In exchange for my nexus 5. Hope it is better than n5. Delivery is taking too long though!

  • no way!!!!!!

  • Sorry, does that mean I can buy sim card in Spain and I will be able to text and phone in Spain or elsewhere? I am ignorant about this stuff Thx

  • Is there anyway I can use this phone in Spain to text or phone?

  • This mobile has single sim/double sim

  • Great phone I love this. #good battery #good back and front camera #valuable price #good ROM and ROM ... In my opinion this can easily beat or compiete #Samsung S5 or S4

  • Man yo are right ... This phone rocks

  • I still have this one, and it's great. But I don't find in anywhere the VERSION of the NFC. Is it Broadcom or NPX?

  • I used this phone for 12 days right now, from the moment i open the screen set all information needed it automatically gives me an update which is 5.1 lollipop and this phone performs like a monster super clear and crisp. battery life is great it doesn't hang. run smooth in every ways. #good phone superb, good job motorola. from philippines.

  • Yeah i used it for 1 week and i don't have any problem with this phone it doesn't lag super smooth super clear .

  • Good phone

  • Iam waiting for my package to be delivered.. 😏😏😏

  • I had this phone for 1 year and a half and now both cameras are not working. I suspect, due to other people having the same problem and posting it in forums, that after the upgrade to Marshmallow, something went haywire with the camera. For me, I was recording a video with the main camera, suddenly the camera stopped, I realized that the flash light was on and then the screen went black, with the message the camera is busy or has stopped working. After turning off the phone the main camera was not working, just the frontal camera. After some days not even the front camera was working, I took it to an authorized repair center and they tried changing the cameras, and didnt work. They also tried with a complete factory reset and didnt work, the cameras are not working, the rest of the phone is great. So now they're telling me they have to make a full change of the motherboard, which sounds ridiculous. I loved Motorola, but now I'm seriously reconsidering it.

  • got one for 6 months now and coming from a htc one m8 I have to tell you that the battery doesn't last as much but it will do fine for a day

  • Nice phone, but the battery isn't enough to support a wholeday multitasking.

  • yes it will work

  • Flash new firmware. google "moto x 2nd gen XDA"

  • Finally Motorola has rejected this device from its list. New updates new apps only for new devices :-( Moto x2 won't get any support from its maker

  • Guyz can you please tell me that how to slowdown your media volume in videos (moto x 2nd gen 5.1 lollipop)

  • OMG... Overheating?? It had never happened to me with this device. 42°c max even after heavy games. And 42°c is absolutely normal.

  • Guyz can you please tell me that how to slowdown your media volume in videos (moto x 2nd gen 5.1 lollipop)

  • I have been used this for more than 1 year. But suddenly it got hanged and I turned it off. It is not turning on fully, showing motorola logo all the time. In fastboot mode, it shows, Device is LOCKED, Status 0. Its dead now. :(

  • I really like this phone. The size is nice and the speed is great. BUT it OVERHEATS! I use the Google Map feature and a game called Ingress which operates via the Google Map feature and while on these two apps, the phone gets burning hot. I have tried every "fix" Motorola has suggested and nothing has worked. This is a beautiful phone -- I built it in the Motorola store, customizing it with my name and the back is purple, etc. I really don't feel like I should have to replace it after having it only a few short months, but I'm afraid of using it away from my car's air conditioning to help cool it down. All of the other features are good. Hangouts, another Google app, works great at first. After a couple of months, even with the cache cleared and history deleted, it is so slow. I will write something and it won't show up in the hangout for 5-30 minutes.

  • I've had my Moto X 2014 (unlocked) for about 2 years now. Absolutely love the camera quality, though I almost never use the flash. The HDR just words fantastically. I can feel my battery going bad though. At right around 20%, if I try to run the camera or a resource-intensive app, the phone simply shuts down almost immediately. This especially is terrible after you've been recording a video for example since the video will not be saved and you'll lose that moment (or possibly the whole event). Other than this issue, I really have no problem with the phone at all. It updated to Marshmallow less than a month after the Nexus' got it. Charges very nice and fast, doesn't heat up much and it's super smooth in everything I've thrown at it. I would have gotten a new Moto if they added LTE band 12 (for Tmobile), AMOLED, expandable memory in one device for under $500. As of now, ZTE Axon 7 seems to be the winner for me as my next device. I'll wait till the end of summer though to see all my options.

  • Staples.ca

  • I lost my x2 :'( anyway to track it?

  • It always nice to post yo opinion of the phone after use.How is cam xperience

  • So if I buy a refurbished phone, I can use this to upgrade to 6.0, even if my carrier is Verizon?

  • What operating system and carrier do you use? I'm wanting at least 5.0 and I use Verizon. Thanks

  • Do you know what the latest operating system Verizon WILL allow? Is it 5.0??

  • Got this phons just this morning. The first that amazed was the 13mp camera, auto focus and very good at taking macro and micro shots, so I can say that it is not just an ordinary camera for this kind of phone. Front cam, not that really impressive but its okay with good light. Battery? With a 2300mah, I think this will not really work for me coz I am a heavy user. But Im still investigating the battery capacity while i am writing this one. Connected to wifi, without any other apps opened other than Google browser, got 72% still for the last 4 mins (02:21 @ 72%) now its (02:36 @ 69%). For the UI, some other apps or built in softwares are missing sometimes thats why I downloaded a free version of CM Launcher so I can arrange some of the apps I need. Performance is really great @ Lollipop version, but still upgradable to Marshmallow, (better do the upgrade in the morning). Sleek, stylish, unique and elite design. Some would not notice this, but if you are into design specific, you'd really love this one. Thats it for now, I'll add more of this in the ff days. See yah!

  • The Moto X2 has been updated to Marshmallow if you have the Pure Edition. If you have the AT&T or Verizon carrier editions, the Moto X2 has NOT been updated to Marshmallow and is NOT scheduled to be updated either. The carriers must be to blame since Motorola has released the update for this phone to the Pure Editions, a version that doesn't depend on the carriers for updating.

  • Camera is not that great actually .. you can record hd, slow Mo, 4k videos., and take shots at 13mp. The EIS In this phone is actually very good. It will help you during hd video recoding. In day light u can take some good sharp shots but as the light decreases image quality too decreases. Flash will help you @ night.. I love the flash in this phone. Camera wise it is an average performer, I mean for a premium phone. The same thing suits to the front camera too!

  • Bro can you tell me the camera result of this mobile plz

  • Even me.. I was seeking for 6.0.1 update from February! As for now Motorola has updated all their devices except moto x2 in their x series to 6.0.1 ., So there is a possibility for this phone get the 6.0.1 update. But I don't think that moto will include moto x2 for Android N!!

  • Hello guys, Does anybody know about the next update? I've been waiting for 6.0.1 for a while and it seems like it's not gonna happen.

  • I just read your opinion and bought one. Hope to be happy with it. :) Thank you.

  • I bought mine last 20.05.2016 from www.motorola.com.mx for 100 dollars. Im waiting for it, it arrives next 31.05.2016 from Motorola. I personalizad with Motomaker. And bought a Outterbox case... its going to take time to destroy that phone i think... ;)

  • This looks like a good phone but I cant find anywhere to buy this in canada. Can someone please help me.

  • No its not true its working normally

  • there is something called rooting, root your phone and remove those apps

  • Crappy phone. 70% of storage for preloaded not removable crap. "Very smart" for people without own opinion.

  • Some one please share your experience of recording a slow motion video with this phone.. All the videos I recorded came out not as something recorded in slow motion but as a normal video played back at a slow rate

  • Awesome reply I love this phone too!

  • Moto x2 is better

  • I'm using this phone for 3 months now.i didn't use KitKat and lollipop version of it because when I bought it , I directly update it to marshmallow. After using this phone for 3 months I would have to say that this phone is super smooth in use, no lag at all. battery is OK but fast charging option makes it good. Overall all I'm impressed by its performance.

  • Yes I have used android pay myself with it.

  • Well, answering your question, you should go to where you bought it (as long as it's within the warranty period). Now, regarding the issue you have, I'd like to share to you my experience ans after owning the phone for 10 months, nothing has come to me but joy. Wanna share? Let me know..

  • Burn in mine has a burn in problem. Where can I get a replacement anyone?

  • This phone has NFC, does it mean I can use Android pay for purchases?

  • You are "hurt" because of Motorola decision on Verizon? God, that is so geek !!! How come you feel "hurt" for such a fact, come on!! It's a phone, not the life of a person nor some one who betrayed you or something alike.

  • hi there, i have a Xt1096 too (Verizon) and theres a way to get stock android 6, only you have to unlock your bootloader via Motorola´s web page, you will find all here

  • Don't worry.. Marshmallow and lolipop feels almost the same. Until the device gets a 6.0.1 update its better to stay in lolipop! Just my opinion.

  • In fact..... I was so happy when i read this phone can update to android 6.0 But after I bought it, I realized Verizon versions can't update to 6.0! Since i wanted to have a feel of the android 6.0, my love for this device has diminish to the lowest level! I really love this device..... But am hurt of Motorola's decision on Verizon!

  • thank u bro

  • Great build quality, feels nice in hand. It doesn't have the highest end specs, but overall its a pretty darn good device. I've never had any issues with the software, it always ran smoothly for me.

  • I guess only 32GB is available.

  • You won't find a better phone in the market. This one is the best.

  • Phone is decent, very frustrating at times, a lot of issues that need to be fixed. phone randomly shuts down, doesn't ring all the time, autocorrect is useless and corrects words to ridiculous things like changing like to limes or it's to ITS. I would definitely try to get a different phone. I have a year left on mine and would love to just Frisbee it out of a window.

  • I use moto x2 so that is the one I recommend. Leave any way of contact so we can discuss, if you want. I've been using this model for almost 1 year now.

  • Man I have been using moto x2 for almots 1 year and it's the fr*aking best phone of the world. Super fast, no lags, reliable, stable and handsome. Which one did you finally get?

  • You cannot rely on antutu for the user experience... Yup the other two scored better but I'm sure that they cannot stand up on overall performance..you must accept 800 series of snapdragon is better than those. More over some chipsets perform only on benchmarks not on reality day to day use.

  • If you look at antutu. You see: Snapdragon 801: 50000 points Snapdragon 652: 80000 points Helio X25: 92000 points That means I would pick the LeEco Le 2

  • getting 32GB Moto X 2nd gen for 199$ unclocked. is it a worthy buy? is it better deal than xiaomi redmi note 3 with sd652. i can get that for 240$. or should i go for le eco 2 with helio x25 for 220$. plz suggest.

  • Hi there , after the update if your facing problems , just reboot your phone , delete apps cache and update all your apps.

  • I really like the phone, but the last update is driving me crazy. You'll be looking at an article and it jumps somewhere else. Have to swipe 2 screens to open . my notifications sounds arnt workin right. Anyone else having problems?

  • Yup , phone working great though now after better rebooting , safe mode , deleting caches and updating all apps I m getting a better performance , 800 max RAM free .. Very fluid , yet only the dialer keypad plus the phown brightness bugs me..

  • Yup I did say the same... It gives a flawless performance. But when device is idle system occupy nearly 600mb of RAM and when I run some heavy applications it adjusts freeing up some memory proving topnotch streaming. No no issue. And the brightness is good, it doesn't hurt my eyes. No one can say moto x2's display hurt their eyes coz it is calibrated in such a way(like a blue light filter). Thats y d display looks warmer. But the minium brightness is little brighter actually.

  • @Sam Austin I'm running Marshmallow on my phone and can't fault the operation of it, everything runs as smooth as silk. I can't see the problem with the brightness control that people are mentioning, I always turn 'Adaptive brightness' on at night and it's fine for my eyes.

  • All 3 are more or less equal.. What will u expect from your device? Performance? Camera? Look?

  • Hey are you speaking about lolipop or marshmallow?? Coz my device is running with marshmallow!! System consume a large part of ram when compared to lolipop, but that's not a problem.. It handles everything in the smoothest possible way! And minimum brightness is not as minimum as it was in lolipop.

  • I don't think so , marshmallow is slower than lollipop , if I get any workaround of this phone I will update it here . bdw speaker isn't loud as it used to be in lollipop.

  • After reading your post I checked the same points you highlighted. 1. Free RAM = 0.90Gb Afterwards I cleaned the cache partition and the Free RAM rose to 0.96Gb. Perhaps you have too many apps running. 2. Speaker volume is more than loud enough, in fact I have had to turn mine down to about 80% 3. On the lowest setting, the screen is almost black, and the brightness increases at the slightest touch. 4. No stutter on the dialer. 5. & 6. No problems found. 7. No problem with WiFi on my phone. At home it connects in around 5 seconds, and only a little longer using public WiFi.

  • Marshmallow for moto x2 I bought the phone 12april-16 . yesterday I updated my phone to marshmallows. Lollipop 5.1 was running great so I expected a better stutter free performance from marshmallow . These are the things I noticed -- 1-- avg RAM free =500 MB (before 800+MB) 2-- speaker volume decreased . (exceptionally loud before) 3-- screen is brighter at lowest level and doesn't increase for the 1st 25%of slider volume .hurts to see screen at night .. 4-- stutter in dialer 5-- haven't seen the benefits of doze yet 6-- moto display doesn't respond as quickly as it used to in lollipop. 7 -- wifi problems .. Lollipop was much better and stable , if anyone knows a workaround of these problems let me know . Factory reset not done as I think I haven't filled my phone yet , cache partition is wiped yet I find this problem

  • Hey buddy I want to buy a mobile one plus x r moto x r HTC desire 820

  • My phone is xt1092 and i updated to marshmallow ota. Great device

  • upgrade is only available for x1095 version :/

  • Is good change if i sell this one and get the A5 2016? i really need good batery life and i dont care for games.

  • Stop playing that game

  • I'm using the Verizon version of the Moto x (xt1096) running on android 5.1 pls can somebody help me on how to update to android 6.0?

  • Pls am on de Moto X verizone version android 5.1 and I was wondering if someone could assist me on how to update to android 6.0

  • How much memory does it consume if it is updated from KitKat to marshmallow?

  • I might have used the wrong word there. It gets too warm.

  • Go for marshmallow. Its buttery smooth no lag battery improve much than wid lollipop. Doze mode is awesome

  • Mine works perfectly with Marshmallow - it's the pure edition (not Verizon)

  • Do anyone know that its verizon version will get marshmallow update or not? :( It is a good n I think best device in terms of speed n performance but except its battery timing... which is actually a major factor :/ But still I love it :) Please reply??? :/

  • after avoiding the update for about two months i decided to install it, it is working great, it has been like two week... no lag, no crashes nor anything weird.. you gonna like the now features

  • KitKat or marshmallow, it doest matter much with the performance of this device.. It runs buttery smooth on both. It is much more lag free and smoother than s5, z3 & m8. Facebook, chrome... It supports every app.

  • Moto x2 lagging? Incompatible? Are you kidding?? It was very good on KitKat and it is very good with marshmallow now! No one can say that it is lagging.

  • I have this phone for 9 months now and it's the best phone I have owned so far. It's very good and user friendly for an average user. Battery life is good, taking photos in very light conditions-pictures are very very good..not so much in dime conditions. Love the fact that this phone looks so good and my daughter has an Iphone 6 and she admits that Moto X is a cool phone with a very good keyboard.. I am now on Marshmallow and not seeing any slowdowns at all. Happy user of Moto X

  • I didn't face any such heating problems...!

  • My phone fall down, tempered is fine, screen is broked and got black, with touch is working,And bad is I cant transfer my data. :( original screen around 7K at least..Dont buy this than..

  • Please advice me should i go to Marshmallow or stick with Kitkat, cause I don't believe in Google with the update which cause so many laga and stuter especially to some apps like facebook and chrome, all i want that the phone still has the buttery smooth performance, advice and experience please, thank you

  • I have this phone since January 2016, I have Kitkat on my Moto X 2nd gen, do you think I should update to Lollipop and then to Marshmallow or leave it to Kitkat, I'm worry about the Laggy and Stuter and incompability to Facebook APP and Chrome APP, Anyone that already in marshmallow can u share your opinion and tip and perhaps if you regret?

  • I've had the phone for 6 days now and I still love the phone. I paid full price (since I am on prepaid) and I don't regret it.

  • I've been playing the game CarX drift racing on my moto x 2014 and just after 5-10 minutes if gaming, the phone gets very very hot. Can anyone please try it out and tell me if its normal and would it harm my device if I continue playing it for prolonged durations?

  • 2 months

  • Your phone isn't working because YOU broke the screen, and now you are demanding that Motorola should replace the phone because of your clumsiness. That is ridiculous, that is like asking a car manufacturer to replace your car because you ran over a nail and got a puncture in one of the tyres.

  • I bought the nTelos variant of this phone yesterday and I have to say that I am happy I did. I have dealt with the lower end Android phones for so long and I decided it was time for a change. I am extremely happy with the performance and battery life. I dropped the phone earlier today at work and the phone is perfectly fine. I am going to the store today to buy a case for the phone because I am scared I will drop it again. So far, if someone asked me whether they should get this phone or not, I would tell them to get the phone.

  • Thanks Sam.....!😉

  • Not at all impressed. I purchased this phone about 4 months ago and I cannot wait to get rid of it.. Service will completely cut out, the battery dies very fast and will turn the phone off when it shows it at 15%, I have already shattered the screen on it which never happened to the original moto x I had.. The GPS system is not accurate which may have something to do with Verizon.. I was in love with my moto x so I figured this one would be about the same, but not at all..

  • ~6+ months

  • How old is your phone?

  • I have a Moto X 2014, and i don't have the marshmallow udpate yet...

  • Yes it's battery is smaller when compared to its competitors.. But it will be enough for a day. You can get 4+ hrs of screen on time. It's my primary phone and my daily uses include calls messages music browsing videos and a little gaming. It stands till night if I give it a full charge the morning. It had not gone battery dead till now.

  • Can any one tell me about battery timing of moto X2nd gen because it has 2300mah battery it is quit low than s3 Galaxy s3 contains 2400mah 🔋.

  • Motorolla phones are really great quality noo lag and hang

  • Great smartphone, but... The screen, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 is too weak. After a low impact is tottaly broken. I'm very disappointed!

  • But in my country p8 lite is expensive

  • Moto X 2014 is much better than it because the processor is twice the speed of p8 in the benchmarks(in both graphics and processing power).. Moto X 2014 has more value for money then P8..

  • Moto x 2nd gen

  • I have really confused

  • Guys tell me please huawei p8 lite is best or moto x 2nd generation

  • Good phone, but don't have barometer and the a-GPS have a problem on brazil that make freeze the navigation (isn't fluid), when u use 3G of 4G mode, if u put 2G works around 95%.

  • Guys is the RTN number *#*#786#*#* working on your x2?

  • Both are similar phones... Average battery, average camera, good speaker, good design etc.. Even performance wise both are similar but moto x2 is a marigin winner. Display; super LCD 3 5" vs amoled 5.2". Both displays has their pros and cons. And so the deciding factor may be storage. Sorry moto x2 doesn't support any external SD cards.

  • My moto x don't play batman and say unfortunately stop What should i do

  • Hello, I'am choosing to a new phone, I'm choosing between Motorola Moto X (2ed Gen) and a HTC one m8. Booth cost around the same. So witch you think is better. I don't take a lot photos so I don't really care about camera. I watch a lot of videos, listening music, some time gaming, and a lot if working like web browsing. So witch you think is better. Thank you for your replies :)

  • It is uncertain, as of yet, whether all versions of Moto X 2014 would be receiving the Marshmallow update. Read here: . AT&T, Verizon, Sprint and possibly T-Mobile carriers might not be updated to Marshmallow. Unlocked edition of Moto X (2014) 2nd Gen is getting Android 6.0 Marshmallow as an over the air software update in the United States, Brazil, Canada, the UK, India and possible other regions. I have Moto X 2nd gen (Verizon version) and it is also not getting Marshmallow updates so far. :(

  • Ya I've heard about it and it takes longer than 801 to load apps etc. But when look at it in a long term use perspective that Phone is good. the only down side is it doesn't have NFC and has an IPS LCD Full HD screen. But rest is good. And the cost hear in India is 25k which is 10k more than the 16gigs Moto X 2014. Which is $363 against $217 in US Dollars.

  • The phone that I have is the normal Moto X 2014. And I have Marshmallow pal!

  • Do you think that I don't know how to look for android update? It shows that i'm up to date. Am I doing something wrong? Am I receveing the update? Does somebody tell me if moto x 2014 is receiving the update?

  • Check for the update.. Lol... Settings> about phone> software updates

  • Sagar one plus 2 is good only on paper.. Yes It owns a super Dooper snapdragon 810. It can run anything, even very heavy games very smoothly but only for few minutes., later the performance drops rapidly. When digging deeper they say that SD 810 is the only reason. Thats why many flagships like htc one m9+ and s6 ignored sd810

  • Hi everybody! I bought my moto x online and it said that is carrier free. But on the box it says that is orange Spain. Anyway... What I want to know is will I receive android marshmallow? Help please!

  • I connect my Jabra BT2046 to moto x 2..but whenever i receive or dial a call, can't hear anything..can anyone help me? I try it on other mobile phone but it works, but with my moto x 2 it can't. . Plz help me.

  • Moto X 2014 is the best among all in CPU and gaming performance (In which J7 is nowhere in the equation) so remove J7 and we have 2 phones. To tell you frankly Z1 has a better camera but can't record in Ultra HD like Moto X 2014 and the performance is not as beastly as Moto X 2014 and also the phone will not have Marshmallow. so the better choice is Moto X. But I suggest if your spending 20000k. The better choice will be Oneplue 2 which is 25000k for 64gb. It is the best choice because it has the same performance and camera quality as the top of the line phones have.

  • I just gave an example pal! :) I'll prefer Moto X 2014 over 1s but it's just a bit better overall! I wish the 32gb Moto X 2014 was priced somewhere near it! Because Moto X is an AMOLED screen vs the IPS LCD. And I feel the camera of my Moto X is better than that Phone!

  • It is simply incredible how much value loses this phone if you want to resale it!I payed 380 USD for it 6 months when I bought it and now I cannot even get 214 USD for it although the phone looks and works impeccable. It's like in the first day I bought it!It is in warranty period as well ,untill august 2017!I have all the papers fot it!What's happening?...people prefer to spend more money on a samsung A5 2015 then buy my phone.

  • I want to buy a best phone with best camera and ram plese tell me which is best 1~moto x2nd 32gb, 2~sony z1, 3~samsung j7

  • Out of 3 GB RAM you can get only 1.2gb of RAM inspite of killing all apps. It does have an auto killer.. After 4 or 5 apps been loaded it starts to kill the early ones and when it kills in such way you won't get any notifications too. Performance of snapdragon is far better on real time use. Built quality of moto eats le tv's

  • Le 1s doesn't have gyroscope like Moto x 2014 but has TV output and the RAM and internals are 3gb and 32gb respectively. The Mediatek chip in the phone suppasses the performance in the all the benchmarks against Snapdragon 801 in that phone. The price for Le 1s is 10990 and Moto x is 14999 in India!

  • Le 1s is killing this phone in everyway in exception of the camera, screen and software!

  • For a better battery and camera go for z1 but performance wise x2 solidly rock

  • Moto X 2nd gen is the best choice.

  • Guys which one would be a better buy.. The Moto X 2014 or the Sony Xperia Z1?? I'm looking for smooth performance, decent battery life, good camera and audio quality on headphones.

  • Receive Android 6 marsham.. No found any things change Pure Edith.... Should be receive update so much Not now

  • Upgrade to marshmallow.. Only in lolipop the minimum brightness show pinkish tint... It is fixed in marshmallow

  • I'm sorry but there are many hear who have used this phone and had no issues of the glass breaking! Never dropped it since day one as I know it's fragile! Guyz please take care of it. Put a cover or some. I like it without anycover that's how I keep myself very conscious and focus on it when it's out of my pocket. I know that I will not see even a dent on it!

  • If you have any issues with the phone you can remove adaptive brightness in settings>display. But remember you may lose some battery with that!

  • Yes it is too pinkish i hv replaced it with new 2 times for the same reason... but same result

  • Good phone, But i would suggest NEVER buy it. I bought it when it was 37K priced (2014) but its screen is so fragile that it can shatter easily with a gentle fall. And when you go to customer care center, be prepared to get ripped off! They can charge you any rate from 15K to 12K. Today even when its price has came down to 15K, CC center guys still asking same amount for screen replacement. Morons dnt know that anyone can buy new one by paying 1K extra. Company sucks, they should understand the concern of the customer.

  • how is battery backup on marshmallow???

  • Does anybody know ho to disable tap to shoot on the camera? The camera results is outstanding but this feature is nothing but sucks.

  • No solution you must go with it.. Hope for a better colour calibration on next update

  • Well, I'm 4 days out of warranty, and no surprise, the phone is acting up. Battery has been suddenly cutting out and suddenly saying I had no battery left. Definitely don't get 16gb. it's not enough memory and it slows down a lot when it gets full, and messages stop going through.

  • Does the colors on display bothers anyone? i mean i like the saturation, the only problem is the white color, is a little bit warm, and it kinda sucks (at leats for me) do you guys have any solution?

  • which is batter sony xperia z1 or moto x 2nd ge

  • Moto X 2nd Gen is the best option to go for.

  • Guys don't mistake the whites of moto... Its a feature, called blue light filter.. Good for your eyes!

  • Can I change the back cover? I want the leather back

  • see its very obvious that if you will put your query in motorola forum people will recommend a moto and if you put the same question in one plus forum, people will ask you to go for one plus one. being unbiased I'll simply tell the differences and will leave the decision upto you only - 1st thing - take x play out of scene bcoz its mid range processor phone so it is not at all comparable to the performance of X2 or One plus one. One plus one and X2 both have snapdragon 801 processor which in short means - these devices will be running smooth most of the time without any major lag or noticeable framedrops. Usually with time android phones start to feel slow in performance but with these 2 devices you wont be having this complaint. Screen - X2 gives you very nice amoled screen with good saturation in colors but whites in one plus one seem much better than X2's yellowish white. Check properly this difference before buying because its a matter of personal preference. I prefer moto x2's screen saturation while most of my frnds like whites of one plus one. design - 5.2 inch screen of moto x with very small bezels around screen is packed so well that this phone feels far more comfortable in hand as compared with one plus one. memory - memory is an issue with 16 gb variant in moto x so if you are thinkin of buying only go for 32 gig version. With one plus there is no such issue as you get whole 32 or 64 gig of storage. I cant type all the differences. there are a lot of differences but all I can tell you is that at present moment these both phones are available at a good price and you can't go wrong with any of them but for maximum satisfaction check properly the key differences in video comparisons.

  • dont expect much from a 2300 mah battery. Its a good phone all in all. Using it from quite a long time. Battery life might disappoint you but best part is that it charges very fast so even if its running out of juice and you have not enough time to charge it fully just plug it in for a few minutes and eventually you wont even feel that battery is bothering you anymore.

  • U can get some very good shots under good lighting with moto.. Comparison wise, Moto's camera UI is simple where sony's is too complicated. Both use a good sony sensor where moto's is a 13mp and sony has a 21mp. Both can produce some great pictures. Moto's camera is almost automatic. It can adjust itself to most conditions most of the time but sony's auto mode is a kind of mess. It has all manual controls dumped up. And If u need a good front camera go for sony..

  • is this picture qulity batter than sony xperia z1

  • Ofcource motox play it is the bestest

  • Anyone how about battery life its equal to last gen ?

  • It is not getting Marshmallow from Verizon. This is why i said screw the software warranty from Motorola and unlocked the bootloader, rooted, and flashed the Nexus Experience ROM. It does work with CDMA. If you want help with rooting and stuff let me know.

  • Get a 32gb version

  • Love This Phone Much and Much

  • there is no 16gb internal memory. only 10gb are available in moto x 2gen mobile phone.

  • Moto x2 best

  • go ahead with moto x2 cz it has better viewing angles and an amoled screen...wen compare to x play its TFT LCD not that good than amoled...and processor on x 2 is far better than x play..

  • Moto X play 32gp the best mobile

  • Its on Sale now in UK. Just £199 for 32GB/ £169 if you can use Unidays promo code!!!

  • Moto X

  • This phone had battery problems prior to Marshmallow.. Now my phone hasn't switched off because of low battery ever after the Marshmallow update!

  • how about battery anyone plz tell me i wanna buy this

  • Hi, My phone fell several times already and it is ok, but I am using a cover. This is the one I am using, very satisfied:

  • How could u compare them? Moto x2 is a premium device..

  • Which one of these two is better than other? 1:Moto g 3rd gen 2:Moto x 2 gen

  • Which one of these two is better than other? 1:Moto g 3rd gen 2:Moto x 2 gen

  • Your choices are in the right order..lol Moto x2

  • I am planning to get a mobile and my budget is less than 20,000. I have 3 options in my mind. Help me in choosing the best. 1. Moto X2 2. Moto XPlay 3. One Plus One

  • I have moto x 2nd gen since april 2015.i love my mobile and im really satisfied.every thing is ok and hasn't no problem

  • Hi .no i have used moto x (2nd gen)for 10 month .a lot of times it droped from my hands but has never broke.i bought glass and it protects my mobile

  • What about moto x 2nd gen verizon? Is it getting marshmallow update or not?

  • Yea I did see that reviews.. I hadn't let my phone to fall down so I cannot say anything about that.. But this phone is superly built.. I find it sturdy and strong in hand... If u r very much worried get a shock proof case for it, it might help.

  • yes ,.. it can be update to android marshmallow its really good phone

  • I heard that Display of Moto X (2nd Gen) is very brittle. even if you drop phone form 1-2 feet it will be broken. so, is it possible to prevent this type of accident using Tempered glass... ? , Should i cancel phone purchase ?

  • Yes moto x2 is in their list for 6.0.1 update... We will get it before april

  • I hope the latest software in this year will be in this phone.. Hope Motorola will keep on updating this device!

  • Does any one have an idea about its future updates? Will It get 6.0.1 update?

  • Because moto x2 has some metal and it is bigger than moto x... So obviously it will be heavier.. But I would say that 144g is not that heavy

  • I didn't replace it.. Coz after few reviews and researches I find it as a little adjustment in colour.. In general amoled looks super saturated so moto developers has done some works to adjust in marshmallow

  • No worry.. Battery can support u 1 complete day without any issue.. I didn't find this device heating up more than 42°c even while running heavy games, so heating is not an issue

  • Mine doesn't have that fault.. You can buy it..

  • Depends on your useage. You will have to update it with marshmallow for the best battery performence. If your a heavy user then you have to worry about it. but if your just an office goer like me and keep your phone unattended the whole day your battery will last you the whole day and will lose only about 10-15% of it's battery. It's no problem for me. If your planning on taking it on a vacation do carry a power bank though!

  • why moto x weight has less compare from who had bought at first time moto x 2gen high price.

  • gaiss. i wan to buy this phone. but after read your comments about update android M . now im so scare.. t.t

  • bro ..yes i'm also facing the issue ...do i exchange the product or either it is common con in High resoloution screens ..i'm very much scared of this bug...!

  • It takes 2-3 wave overs for me in the noon for the active display to light up when locked and waved instantly over it

  • 2300mah does it drain fast?while surfing the internet, playing games, movies, etc.is this phone really worth to have it?though its 2years old?what about heating problem guys anyone??

  • 2300mah does it drain fast?while surfing the internet, playing games, movies, etc.is this phone really worth to have it?though its 2years old?what about heating problem guys anyone??

  • hey all . can i use otg external memory for adoptable storage after update andrid M? its working perfectly on this moto or not?? tq

  • But my display is warmer compared to other moto x2's... Not sure whether it is because of marshmallow

  • I never use minimum brightness.. But I don't see anything that bothers me of when I lower the brightness pal!

  • Me too.. I've seen the difference ever since i've update this phone to marshmallow.. U need to unlock 'developer options' to check the real time ram.. You can unlock it by going into 'about phone' in your settings and then tap the 'build number' until it's unlocked and then on go back to Settings>Developer options>Running Services. Here you'll see the real time RAM Note: this is only applicable in Marshmallow!

  • Guys how is the whites looking in minimum brightness? I find some irregular colours in my device.. I have opted for an exchange

  • I recently upgraded my device to marshmallow.. I feel like ram management is poor.. When it was in lolipop I had minimum of 1gb ram free always but now in marshmallow I have only 600-700mb free.. Plz some 1 share your experience

  • It doesn't take much time it does it almost instantly!

  • You don't have to worry about the battery after the Marshmallow update.. If you just listen to music and out at work and especially at work you'll just lose about 10%-20% of your battery if you don't use it!! The whole day. Because of the special dose feature!

  • Is there any delay in the lighting up of the active display immediately after the device is locked with the physical key? It lights up almost immediately in ambient light, but takes time in bright sunlight. Is it the same with everyone?

  • i reall wanted this x 2gen,but i wanna know about the battery,please anyone???

  • Ya its soft on eyes I just wanted to know because other phone display looks better.but movies games and viewing angles are much greater on this device then others.blacks are perfect black.

  • Hey don't mistake.. The temperature sensor reads the temperature of the CPU.. It can't b used to monitor your room's temperature

  • The front camera suffers under low light which seems to be laggy actually.. No issue under good light.. It's a descent camera

  • Yes the colour looks warm but u must consider that x2's display has a blue light filter which might be the reason.... Protecting your eyes..

  • Moto x2 with no doubt

  • Moto x is the best

  • Here are my suggestions 1. Nexus 5 as for brand and durability 2.moto x too is great phone Moto x will be best as it gives much more features then nexus, has premium feel, better specs then nexus. If u want general features like expandable memory dual sim u can choose moto g Turbo. it too has good features but cant competes with moto x. Will give advise not to go with one plus one and j7 J7 has hanging problem. Ucan go with any first 3. My suggestion moto x, is the best and most discussed phone of its year

  • Hey please can anyone help me to choose correct phone around 15000 1) nexus 5 2)moto x (2nd gen) 3)moto g turbo edition 4)one plus one 5)Samsung Galaxy j7 Considering price and brand value and durability......

  • Ya, me too has not to worry I was just wondering may be this could be faulty display. As for normal my grand 2 display looks better then this, but during full hd movies and games this phone has upper hand plus it has great viewing angles then grand 2. Its clear from any angle. Also blacks are perfectly black in night.

  • There is nothing to worry about in it for me watching movies and playing games is an awesome experience on this phone.. This little thing doesn't affect me!

  • Tnks for confirming, I was worried about warm screen.

  • Amazon prime does not give you free shipping. The shipping cost is built into the price. It's a sham.

  • Yes the color is a little on a warmer side.. It's on moto g 2014 and this device too!

  • I've owned three Motorola phones, G, G2 and X2, and more impressed after each experience.

  • Oh Lord. Either you haven't used this unit or you do expect from a phone something no phone on Earth will ever give you. Do research before posting.

  • Ok do so - no need you share it here as nobody cares about those plans :)

  • mine does have a warm yellow tint on display. can anyone confirm that others have or not. i dont recognize it while using but if placed neared any other phone it has yellow tint.

  • Hows the front camera. After marshmallow update is it still laggy. ...

  • I hope some who can edits the specifications see this and removes the barometer and temperature sensors from the features.. As I find they are not available in this phone..

  • Unfortunately Vodafone is the only service that will provide 4G to this phone in Mumbai, India as it supports band 3 the band which is supported by this phone!

  • temperature sensor my a*s,no thermometer application from Play Store could find the temperature sensor on my Moto x 2014!..Where is that sensor?...What is his functionality if not to measure temperature?...where is it and how can I use it?...bull***t!

  • Simple, Login to your Gmail account and use Device Manager to reset the Device Security.

  • I can't wait till my contract is up so I can put this piece of garbage phone under my semi tire and crush it. Next phone will NOT be a Motorola.

  • I've got this device in december 2015, and it's completely meets my requirements. It's very fast, not very expensive (i've got it in my country from huckster, but it was brand new), and powerful enough. Camera even after 20MP in Meizu MX4 is one of the best, and i'm happy with it, also it already has an update to Marshmallow, and it's very, very fast!

  • forgot swipe pattern for lock How do you retrieve this?

  • Why are you comparing this with turbo.. It's like comparing a sports car to a ordinary car!

  • Got this phone used from Amazon Warehouse Deals USA for around $140 US excluding taxes and shipping (because of Amazon Prime). Have to say, its an AMAZING buy for that price. Great screen, very good performance. Only cons: 16GB only has 10GB free, and battery life is fair but not great. Camera is actually quite decent both in bright and dim if you forgive some of its quality for the price. If you were looking at a OnePlus X, consider this phone too -- has lots of support for ROMs and other things as long as you stick to the pure edition (XT1095) model. It has 1GB less ram, but for a much lower price and with much more support from the company (depending on where you live).

  • awesome battary backup now on android M.......

  • How can you say that? Did you see how powerful the processor is in moto x.. It's much more powerful and better for gaming then Turbo! Plus the AMOLED screen makes the dark seem dark.. Please do research before commenting!

  • No difference between turbo and moto x 2nd gen just a price difference i dont think turbo specs make difference and in design terms moto x 2 much better than ballistic nylon

  • The battery is good i got no problem with battery timing really good phone and the display is also good amoled panel is very punchy vibrant color i love this phone

  • I used this phone currently and drop a while got no scratch on screen hard solid built and much better camera than my samsung alpha i am also using htc one m8 and the camera quality of is just awsome

  • I just got this phone, and being over a year old, it's still fantastic and competes well with the latest bad boys. The biggest pro is that it's buttery smooth and rarely has a hiccup. The one front speaker is loud and clear. Camera is just decent all around, but very good in daylight. Front facing camera is not too good, but I barely ever use it, so its not a problem. It's still very usable. Screen is bright and crisp. Battery last me most of the day or more depending on usage. Overall great phone, very impressed.

  • Definitely the Moto X. While the 3rd gen Moto G is newer, the 2nd gen Moto X is still an all around better phone.

  • How is it not good enough? This phone will basically do anything without a hiccup.

  • Nice Phone with bad battery.

  • and the battery backup???

  • Hey..can anyone tell me...how much significant Battery Backup change is there after updating to Android M ? How many Hrs More does phone last ?

  • Hey.. How's is d battery back up after updating to Android M.?? Like....before update...phone lasts for ____ hrs . After Update...phone lasts for ____ hrs?

  • Moto x 2 Best gaming phone ever

  • Hi Friends, I have purchased MOTO X 2nd Gen 32 GB mobile in the month of Dec 23rd 2014, But i am not able use properly , because of display break with in one month. However , Friends i request , any one can help to replace glass (Gorilla Glass) . I approach authorized service center in Secundrabad. They said its cost is 25K +tax. But real cost of this mobile is 33,000. So i decided not to use. Can i get service this mobile.

  • currently using this phone....not good enough :/

  • Just updated my Moto X Pure to Android 6. Wow its super fast now

  • which is a good but x2 or turbo edition???

  • really cool, but the micro sd an battery too small moto

  • moto x 2nd generation is not suport a dual sim ???

  • Perfect phone. You'll fall in love with this device but every device has some drawbacks and x is no exception. So I'll suggest to look for drawbacks for maximum satisfaction that u get for ur money. - 1) limited memory (16 GB out of which 10 GB only is available). For a phone which is super smooth without any visible lag, to fill up 10 GB is not at all a big task. It easily fills up the space in a very short span of time so You have to manage or go for 32 Gig variant out of which around 20 GB will be available (Bcoz of a few motorola's customized features which are quite handy, so I personally dont mind if these features eat up some space). Also I'll recommend to buy a OTG pen drive which always comes in handy. Smooth and fast file transfer between phone and pen drive anytime, anywhere never makes me feel that m using a phone having just 10 GB of space. 2) Battery - Device is constantly listening to your voice and lighting up a full HD display which is very sharp so battery performance obviously is more towards average side. Dont expect much from battery. 3) Camera in low light is quite average but in daylight its too good. Thats all. if you are ok with these shortcomings then this phone can never disappoint you for at least next 2 years.

  • speaker is front facing but not dual and surely better than maximum phones out there. It also gives some good amount of base and is very loud. But remember - Not dual speakers as it seems in first look. do not compare with HTC one M9 and Moto X pure. Surely one of the most impressive speaker on mobiles till date.

  • Hi everyone, i need an opinion. Where I live, moto x 2nd Gen (16gb) and Moto G 3rd gen (2gb ram/16gb rom) are the same price now. My question is: which one should I buy?? My last phone was the moto G 1st gen and I used almost the whole day 3G and played Clash of clans and whatsapp. With the new marshmallow update, what you guys think? which one should I buy?

  • How are the speakers and/or dealing with Motorola if problems?

  • Guys i want to buy this but i want such phone that live with me two or three year least is moto x 2 right option for me

  • Moto x 2 is a phone u can easily fal in love with ..from its beautiful amoled display to the superfast 2.5 GHz quad core processor everything is just in perfect proportion.. For six months I have been using it and no complaints whatsoever except its super delicate screen which even after under a tampered glass got a crack when slipped out of ma hand straight onto the concrete road. Go for it guys as there are many pluses over a few negatives(delicate screen, bit slippery in hand) which I think can be taken care of with a case and screen protector.. Rest this phone can handle anything u throw at him..a must buy specially when it's available for a minimal price of 15k..✌peace

  • Moto x 2014 had received marshmallow 6.0 in india

  • I got the update 6.0 two days back and i found few bugs like mobile internet icon is not dhown in status bar even if it is on. Phone has been running smoothly and battery life has increased quite a bit.

  • Moto x 2nd gen released android Marshmallow in india now

  • It depends on what you do. But if you're not into apps too much and mainly use for commication device then look for a 2nd hand z10.

  • First of all I really appreciate moto for this awesome mind blowing metal and glass combination... And and on top of it, the superfine 2.5D gorilla Glass 3 makes this really a deal breaker.. A word to those of you who are interested to buy moto play ,which is available at the same price.comparing Snapdragon 801 quad core to octa core snapdragon 615 is like comparing 4 lions to 8 baboons...as someone as said. Full HD amoled panel to lame LCD display. Only advantage of moto play is of the expandable memory. No 4K in snapdragon 615 . 1 year old 801 has still got it . now you can decide... The only disadvantage in moto x is the support of indian 4G bands. But it will be solved soon as India is also going to have 1800 Mhz 4g band which is supported in moto x.

  • Go for Moto g3 or galaxy j7

  • Please tell me............it supports indian 4g bands....... did you used 4g in this phone............please tell me

  • suggest me a good phone under 15k.pls

  • please suggest.. moto g3/turbo or moto x 2ng gen or OPX???i am looking for a gaming device... budget 18k

  • Que no tenga memoria expandible es imperdonable. :C

  • im Prefore MOTO X 2nd Gen

  • I agree

  • this phone deserves a lot more applaud than what it received the r&d team has done awesome job bringing beauty and putting that to great use( take example its metal bar at sides which looks damn good and increases the signal strength). Those saying its got a bad camera don't know how to use it . can't believe Motorola is offering it at $250. I've used galaxy and xperia flagships but none competes moto x 2nd gen when it comes to value for money and that's by a huge margin

  • How to unbrick hard bricked phone?? Please anybody

  • Moto x any day

  • Moto x vs moto g (3rd gen)? latter looks like it gives a better balance of features. The former is a flagship so I know it will be good enough until at least 2018. he only downer is the 16gb.

  • That isn't a setting on your phone, it is how your supplier operates their service. Talk to them.

  • Would somebody tell me how to make my Moto x ring more than four times before it goes to voice mail.

  • I have ordered Moto x2 32GB for Rs 17999 from flipkart even though I could have bought Moto X Play for the same price. I preferred Quadcore X2 for many reasons over the Octacore X play. Mainly this is ex- flagship model of Moto and they are not going to go low on it. X Play has Snappy 615 - 1.7 Ghz Octacore while X2 has snappy 801 - 2.5 Ghz quadcore. The result is like 8 strong donkeys vs 4 strong elephants. I like elephants btr. (Dont fight over it guys. Thats why Snap Dragon 801 supports 4K while Snappy 615 does not.) Also the AMOLED vs IPS LCD. Admitting the fact that both the cameras are not good, I left that out. I always like a small phone with BIG dispaly (5.2 inch, 420 ppi) than a BIG phone with BIGGER display (5.5inch.. 401 PPI) of same resolution. Read that our eyes' capacity is 360 ppi. making PPI irrelevant. Main advantage of X play is that it has a dual Sim. so a person using 2 sim can prefer x play but a person using 2 whatsapp accounts will need 2 phones(like me). Another thing is X Play has expandable memory which gives a bigger room. Well.. that is a loss for my 32 GB X2, but... who all buys a 64gb memory card?? Well... I bought a 16 GB USB 3.0 pendrive OTG which has dual head.. one for computer and another for mobile USB for Rs 522. Happy... Richer people can buy 64 GB of the same. For me X Play failed due to very low powered 615 which brutally failed before Lenovo K3 Note having a mediatech chip and almost same features for Rs 8000 less... (I am not supporting K3 note)

  • rather pricey little more money and buy lg g4 .Do not throw money on moto x

  • I also had the same question, basically both these phones have same software(except moto x 2014 might not get android 6.0 update in some areas) Moto x 2014 pros faster processor(801) better design better screen moto x play pros bigger battery micro sd card slot better camera i purchased moto x 2014 due to its faster processor and better design.

  • I've been using this phone for a month and I love it! As you can see here from all the comments made, there are three weak points of this phone: - Camera isn't perfect under low light conditions. - Battery is ok for one day. Do not expect more than that. - There is no sd card slot, which is biggest disadvantage of the phone from my point of view. But these are definitely acceptable. I'd recommend you to go for it! Price/performance ratio is amazing, though.

  • I've had this phone for a couple of months. Prior phone was a Samsung Galaxy SIII. On the whole, I like this phone. I complained about the battery life of the Galaxy, this phone is better but it is newer as well. A big negative in my view is not having a microSD card slot. The specs list 16/32GB storage but I don't know how to get 32G. Mine has 16GB and that space includes apps. I've been playing with Google Cardboard and many of the apps are quite large so I don't install them. Otherwise, Cardboard is a hoot! The camera is good but does not compare to the functionality of the Galaxy III camera. It's good enough, though. Looking at the price of the phone, I'm paying approx $13/month over two years for this phone. I think that's a good deal considering most of the popular smartphones go for well over $20/month (VZ).

  • Can someone plz guide me?i m confused between moto x 2nd gen and moto x play....i heard tat moto x play has heating problem and moto x 2nd gen has bad battery backup .....is it true?if so did the battery improve after lollipop update?

  • Just planning to bye moto x play 16 gb Should I go for this ..? Pls suggest me

  • Phone is just getting better and better. since i updated it to 5.1 Lollipop and install latest playstore update my battery last 3 days with moderate use. Best Moto to date.

  • Perfect phone!! Tnx Moto...

  • If you go onto the Nexus 5 forum on GSMArena you will see the posts from other users who are also suffering with battery problems like me. You will also see posts from N5 owners who are rolling back to v5.1.1 because v6.0 is so bad.

  • that is his wish whether he wants doze or anything, you could've simply answered it if you knew or else could've ignored it and I own a N5 too and the battery backup did increase with the doze feature. either you have a defective piece or you don't know how to use a phone properly.

  • @ Avilash95 After reading your last post I went back to your previous ONE sentence enquiry. All you stated was "When will be marshmallow update be available fo Moto X indian variabt?". Nowhere in that sentence do you mention anything about battery optimization or the Doze mode. I will ignore your childish insult and help you with your enquiry. I also own a Nexus 5 which has the Marshmallow OS on it and I can inform you that it is the worst version of Android so far. I used to get 2 days use from a charge on Lollipop but now struggle to get a full day's use with Marshmallow. That, plus other problems I am experiencing has forced me into looking for ways of installing Lollipop back on the phone.

  • First of all I aint crying for marshallow, I was just looking for an update of information from users of this phone coz their was news that Brazil has started getting the update. Secondly their is no point which apps will you use on marshmallow, you can run almost every app even on Ice Cream Sandwich and upgrading your phone doesn't means you ll get special app to run on that version. The thing I am looking forward to is the battery optimization and doze mode on marshmallow which is said to improve battery life of your phone and everyone knows battery life really suks on this one. You are one of the most stupid persons I have came across on this forum, if you don't know about the information being asked then you must not offend others. Get a life dude and stop putting negative responses over internet.

  • Here we go again - All the idiots crying because they haven't got Marshmallow on their phone. Answer ONE question - What app have you got on your phone that wont run on Lollipop? Why is it so important to have Marshmallow. You can't, because your phone runs perfectly well with the OS it has now.

  • Is Verizon version of moto x 2 getting marshmallow?

  • not yet

  • When will be marshmallow update be available fo Moto X indian variabt?

  • Poor camera quality doesnot justify the price . phone gets heated up and undergoes battery flush out even on standby

  • I have been using this for close to an year and still a great phone. Battery is the only problem, difficult to get a full day charge on heavy usage.

  • Go for nexus 5 instead

  • Go for nexus 5 instead

  • Never depend any of sites with the specifications that they are giving about Mobile phones.go to official site, or search in many sites before confirming.

  • Sensors on the phone Moto X 2nd gen..... include Compass/ Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor, Gyroscope.

  • is this phone still a good buy?

  • is this still a good buy??

  • About moto x 2nd gen:1.perfect display 2.perfect clarity 3.good camera i mean all r perfect after using 11 months,except battery life...

  • Yes, it does support LTE in India but not in the 2300 MHz band. Early roll outs of LTE were mostly in this band but lately roll outs are increasingly in the 1800 Mhz band and looking to roll out on 800 Mhz band in the near future. Both of these are supported by Moto X.

  • no

  • Is this device supprt 4g lte in india

  • Moto x or Lumia 830?

  • Moto X 2014 2nd Generation

  • It switch off because wifi hotspot use the wifi antenna.

  • go for moto x2 or u r a gamer go for play

  • has it got marshmallow update?

  • Hi I'm having difficulty with wifi hotspot. when hotspot is turned on wifi switches of automatically, could someone help me with this issue. Regards.

  • That's a feature, not a bug I suppose.

  • You can buy any mobile in Moto... Moto is good and awesome to use... First I bought motox then motog3 and now I m using moto x2...

  • You should check for Ambient Display setting

  • Please tell which phone is better for me i will selected some phone moto x 2 gen, moto x play, samsung galaxy s5, LG g3, sony xperia z2, apple iphone 5s

  • is it true?? even have gorilaa glass 3

  • hi please explain feature

  • yes true i am also facing the same issue, i brought this mobile 4 months back

  • bad battery backup, with heavy heat issue when using the mobile with the charger plug in. During the battery charging (charging up with the motorola charger that came up with mobile) if i do whatsapp / check any mails with in 5-10 minutes i am noticing that the CPU temperature goes upto 47deg. Battery getting dried out with an screen time of 3hrs with moderate usage of Wi-Fi

  • what u think of this mobile

  • Most cases/covers don't offer real protection from drops, anyways...

  • i just bought the 32gb version on ebay for 150 bucks. best.buy.ever! the form factor of this phone is amazing, you have to own it to understand. even though battery life is a little better on the Samsung S5, but i prefer the moto x 2014!

  • Worst phone I have ever used. Microphone does not work properly if headset not connected, volumes through headset is too low at the maximum level to hear voice at the other end. Screen crashes faced two times, headset needs to be inserted again and again when switching from applications to another application to hear the audio. Do you still consider to buy this phone.

  • Well if you did not have your phone protected with a screen protector and a rugged case its all your fault. I dont understand how people carry on their pockets/purses a flagship smartphone naked with no protection.

  • Replacing the memory card ?? What memory card ?? I think you had a false Moto X 2014 ! I have the phone and it works perfect . I don't why everybody is so turn against this phone , it has stock os wich is blazing fast , slim bezels , very nice desing and build quallity . Samsung S6 has huge problems with the screen and battery but I don't see no one bashing it !

  • There is a new bug, screen is automatically turning on in regular intervals, without any touch and notifications.

  • i've bought this phone yesterday from flipkart only after using it for a couple of hours the screen broke down doesn't show anything. i suggest everyone not to buy this phone

  • Pathetic service. My phone fell and got a minor crack. The service center is asking 15000/- for repair and giving no compensation. I bought the phone not even 6 months ago. No help provided from the company.

  • WARNING to ALL who are thinking of buying this phone. Ive had 3 of the same pone Moto X 2nd Gen... And Pfffft. is it a joke, same bug every time. "black screen after swipe to unlock" And so I looked into this and found out MANY people are having the same issue....

  • Two phones in a row stopped being able to use 4G and only work on 3G even after replacing the memory card. Do we go for a third? Not!

  • Just got my moto x2 and to say the phone is worth the hype...the camera is good heating rarely happens as they say and good battery life...turbo charging is cool..design 100%

  • I have been using Moto X 2 for more than six months now ...and this fone is simply superb. Batterty might be concern with 4G for frequent users. Design looks good..back leather doesnt worth of 2000 extra.

  • I'm using this phone for 2 months I have no problem with this . excellent phone

  • 32GB available thru moto maker for additional $50 which is what I purchased and love this phone. 5-star. If heavy user purchase compatable turbo charger.

  • Yes, 3G & 4G

  • Thanks

  • I found a scratch on the screen of my Moto X 2014 after only a few weeks of using it. I didn't drop it, knock it, bump it. NOTHING happened to it. Yet the screen still got scratched somehow. So as far as I'm concerned Gorilla glass is just a big con and the hype shouldn't be believed. It can be easily scratched.

  • Nce phone with aswome fatures

  • I own the Moto X and have noticed (as have several users of the Moto X 2014 and Moto Nexus) it has a terrible burn-in problem, even after a short period of use.

  • This unit is better than iphone6 (omo) very handy and strong phone. Screen size is awsome, very strong signal.

  • Performance wise phone is super, but with moderate usage of phone mobile needs to be charged twice for 16hrs of usage

  • You do not need to spend your money in anyone tempered, Moto X 2nd gen has Gorilla Glass system, against scratches, very effective!

  • battery time with lollipop 5.1?

  • moto x 2014 does not have a barometer !!!!

  • Can anyone suggest a good tempered for Moto X2??

  • hi, i bought Moto X at the time of their launch... now the phone is getting heat and the battery back up is very bad.... wifi is not working... as per my expereince please do not buy moto x ever

  • I bought this phone about an year ago and the first time it fell the screen broke into shards. The customer care asked me to shell out 14k to get the screen fixed and personally recommended me to buy moto g3 instead. The phone overheats on charging. The memory available for personal use excluding apps NAD phone updates is 6gb for a 16 GB phone. The customer services are horrible.Wouldn't recommend this phone to anyone even if you are getting it for a 100 bucks.32 k down the drain.Pathetic phone with useless gestures and sensors. Nightmarish customer services.Simply, buying crap with a huge pricetag.

  • Hi Guys, I bought this phone past one week and updated to Android 5.1 1- Great Display 2- Impressive design 3- Good camera 4- battery life increased a lot after updating to 5.1 I.e I watched a movie it was 95% after completing movie of 2 hours it was 80% 5- Android update 6.0 is going to receive on last quarter of 2015 and expected to receive Android N. 6- The only con is that memory is not expandable.

  • Battery life is way stellar than iPhone 6.

  • Frnd I am not an expert in smartphones but I am sure of course moto x2 is better Decision is yours I am answering after reading a lot of reviews you should forgot one plus one because it lacks amoled display and many things

  • yes its a good device .... camera is average but audio qulity is 5 star...build qulity and thanks to their 1080p display.its stunning. battery back up is ok....no need to worry about.im not a hard user.but im ok with this

  • I have had my Moto X for almost 6 months. Acceleromoter went bad. Was replaced without an issue. Now my ISP has gone IPv6 and the X is all messed up when my router has IPv6 enabled. When I assign a static v4 address or force the router to v4 it works fine. Dual stack is out. Called support to find a resolution without any results. The support person wanted to replace the phone again but that was going to cost me $25 or be without a phone for 2 weeks. Its a great phone. However, Lenovo/Motorola's new return policy is awful.

  • Moto x sekend

  • The worst service provider. Better don't go for moto products

  • moto x is a wonderful mobile its quite interesting to have the speed is super-fast and the charging is amazing but i think the battery is a bit small for this kind of phone

  • Is this phone compatible for 3rd and 4g

  • Moto x 2nd generation is a great phone. Camera is better from another phone and looking in good

  • Hey its a good phone worth spending money. If am comparing certains specs no phones can match its specs. Even 2.5ghz is also an eye catching stuff. The tough problem is the battery life. Am always charging twice a day. Camera looks decent in lights and all. But as u all know the twin flash is giving up a decent show. Pls dont compare this phone with others. This phone is the best on size and performance. Unfortunately sd card support is not there. But am using otg and can connect pendrive or memory sticks. Will be giving 3.5 stars. If battery life better will give 4.5 stars.

  • Great device. Display .audio.cpu speed, everything excellent... Battery life is great LTE connectivity... No any negative feelings about this.

  • Go and buy Moto X 2nd gen. Great phone especially in performance and in build quality.

  • yes it can support otg on the go!

  • Is battery life is that much bad????? wat is the average battery life????

  • Hi Mango, when you have bougth your mobiel ?

  • battery life is great the only draw back on my moto x 2014 is that 16 gb space which is too low for me

  • hahha close cousin of nexus 6... :-) But i m worried about the battery life of Moto X

  • The 3 phones you mentioned are great phones but... In performance, discard galaxy s5 unless you think on avoid your warranty, and discard moto x 2014 if you're looking for battery life. The decision are yours.

  • After getting Lolipop update 5.1 it perform much better just like a new phone everything is just a perfect. Samsung galaxy S5 will never ever come even close to Moto X 2 nd gen performance levels.

  • Which one is better Moto x 2014 vs OnePlus One vs Xperia Z3? I'm talk about performance and battery life...

  • can i bought this plz suggest me . i am using my sony xperiya m2

  • i bought mine too but the battery is ok for me its not like other's 2200 mah batteries which drain fast the only cons for me is that sd card support but as i love my moto x i can give up on sd card

  • Using this phone from past one month. Here is my experience: -Superb build quality -Great design -Blazing performance -Good signal reception -All features work accurately -Clear, bright and beautiful display CONS: -Battery is sufficient for moderate use but could have been bigger at this price. Drains slightly fast during gaming. -Camera is average. Low light photography is a nightmare. -Out of 16GB only 9.7GB is available which is misleading. -SD card slot is missing. If you can live with these cons, this is the BEST PHONE. Period.

  • We can connect pen drive using OTG cable to Moto X2

  • i ordered one in white color and as i had some moto g before i believe motorola is the best among others just one question i have can i connect memory card and usb flash via otg to this phone? i couldnt do that to nexus 5 but want to connect to moto x if possible

  • I want to Know this Phone Price

  • my lcd screen is broken ,but in gujarat state no body dealer / service station have the lcd/screen

  • hey I too have this phone with tempered glass but it doesn't fix in all corners

  • Moto X 2gen is better than S5.

  • Thanx shubham i desided to get this fone

  • Excellent phone. Perfect for average users, when comes to battery life, it is a bit low but it doesn't matter because it is a software level problem and it can be fixed with software updates. The build quality of the phone is excellent. LOVE IT!!

  • Anytime Galaxy S5 is Best.... go for Copper Golden Colour.... Rich impression.....

  • low batery life, better go for LG

  • Do not get it. Go with apple

  • does it have wifi direct ?

  • Moto company is always long lasting than samsung

  • no optical image stabilization, low light performance is poor. moto g and x series must improve the camera features.

  • Confused b/w s5 and moto x2 which is best i used to give priority more to long lasting than perfomance

  • when screen goes time out it shown black and white and then it close. Similarly during lock ,current color image shown as black and white and then it close is that design made like that or its a issue....

  • Purchased 2nd Generation 32 GB directly from Motorola and received it one week ago. Phone was working fine until this morning. When I turned it on, it starts with the Motorola welcome screen and then shows the AT&T logo....then it goes dark and I am not able to do anything with it. The phone then starts to get extremely hot. If I continue to hit the power button, eventually a "power off" window will appear in the center of the screen but nothing else shows. I spoke with Motorola support and they walked me through the different reset options. None of them worked. I am returning the phone and will try another brand.

  • Dear users is tthat really 32 and 16 gb has different lcds

  • From my experience xperia z series produce more heat than moto, and I was in a place where 3 kind xperia had no signal at all, but motorola defy+ (waterproof just like xperia z) still got 4bar edge out of 5 bar maxx. Moro x has better lcd as well. But if u looking for better batery life go to xperia z2 base on gsmarena test produce better endutance ratting and xperia z2 has better camera and sd card. Good luck

  • I bought this phone to substitute my Samsung KZoom, but I ended giving it to my son. The camera is not at par with Kzoom: the night pics are not good, in some places the 4G and wifi signals are not so good like my old phone. In the positive side it is a very lightweight device and it runs Android Lollipop smoothly, but I preferred keep my old KZoom.

  • Don't Buy a motorola.. You can buy better than this. they do look good but service and product quality is not good at all.

  • Nice Phone But only thing is we must be carefull with the display. generally X-2 32 GB is very good

  • Voice command of this phone is very very bad

  • Lousy overpriced phone that overheats after half hour surfing on the net or playing games. Surfing on net can also cause the phone to hang so u need to power off, wait ten seconds before u switch on again. After 5 months use, battery drains out faster so u have to charge it twice a day while using mobile data. Worst choice I ever made. My old samsung galaxy ace plus was loads better with no probs! Maybe thats why it got stolen.

  • great device performs like lg g3 or a oneplus one etc

  • great device performs like lg g3 or a oneplus one etc

  • @ Jebam I wanted a phone that would cook a pizza ans then wash up afterwards. All I got was one that makes calls, sends messages, and takes photos. I feel robbed as well.

  • Yes. Unfortunately I discovered it too late. I bought one. Its useless for what iI intended.

  • This phone does NOT HAVE barometer sensor. I just bought one in internet because I saw the especifications in this site. But when I received the phone, surprise. No barometer. I Google it and seems that I am not alone.

  • Im plneng to buy this 1 ..tel me honestly is it a good choice ?

  • Yes. The screen is fragile. Don't invest in one. And the service is probably the worst one. I am regretting buying a Motorola.

  • This if a great phone i loved it. One day the screen turned to dark. I took my phone and deposited in the repair centre. From Then It has been 18 days they Just tell me they don't have parts and they have placed an order. No One called me back ever. I keep sending them mails and calling them till now no response from them. Don't Buy a motorola. Trust Me Phone are great. But Don't Invest in Motorola. It will disappear again and the company will fall because they only want to sell a phone they don't care abot people who have bought one already.

  • Guys i wanna buy these phone bt i have read user review that if phone even fall frm 2 feet i display is broken n it cost 20k 4 new display is it true plzz let me knw guys plzzz....

  • Does the screen really fragile or its juzzt in case u are nt taking care...plzz tell me i waant to buy this phonr

  • I have this phone, and it's pretty much what you've heard. In good lighting the camera is pretty good, but as soon as your in a poorly lit room or there isn't great lighting conditions the quality drops dramatically. There is a lot of noise/image grain, and it struggles to focus or is often to dark to make the image out, even with adjusting exposure. It's a good camera with good light, but a very poor one without. But this is pretty much the only downside to an otherwise great phone, I swapped to this from a Note 4 and performance is much smoother and quicker, its a great looking phone and Moto Maker is a nice extra touch as well.

  • 10GB

  • From what I've read on the internet, its camera performance is very good on broad daylight. However, it struggles to deliver the same performance in the dark. Its battery backup is a mixed bag; it's not great but it's not poor either. If you're looking for a Motorola smartphone that has AMAZING battery life, check out the Droid Turbo/Moto Maxx.

  • Just wanna ask 2ques?Hwz d camera quality and bateery backup?

  • Crippled by the small battery (for a 5.2" screen) and no SD card. Otherwise a great phone.

  • Hey! ^^ I'd like to know if this phone has the option to film 1080p@60fps... 2160p@30fps is good, but I wanted the option to film in 60fps.

  • WHY can't they ever put an sd card slot in there? This is a PERFECT phone except that it does not have an sd card slot. What a let down every time. I would own one of these but they keep missing out on this one important feature! Come on Moto what the hell!?

  • Is moto x 2nd gen have very fragile screen I have read some user opinions about this prob.plz help is this prob real?

  • Call me old school but I like listening to radio but this nd nexus have same problem , nd this has 2300mah battery that is too low for so many features, if this had 3700mah battery nd fm this would be my mob

  • Does Moto x 2014(16 gb model X1092) has notification light in the Moto dimple on back?? And does this phone has temperature and braometer sensor? Kindly answer as my 30 days return is about to end.

  • According gsmarena review z2 is better battery life, if u looking for better battery life, try moto maxx or droid turbo. Xperia z2 sound level is too low, z2 lcd not as good as moto X

  • How much free ram is available??

  • Moto X 2 Charging time heat Accept but play game and Use Internet ( WiFi, 3G) 10 mins get Overheating This is normal? Please Replay me..

  • No excuse for just 2300 battery in such quite big and heavy body. Customers could easily expect at least 3000 mAh battery, especially considering that noticeably smaller Xperia Z3 Compact has 2600 mAh.

  • Yeah only in washing machine later use drier :-)

  • Dude go for moto x its Google product dude!!

  • Yeah sure plz do dis aftr dat we hv a idea abt d thng dude plzz wash it with WASHING POWDER NIRMA ..

  • Received 5.1 update in India ..size about 433 MB.

  • I have just realized that the moto x 2014 has almost all the same specs as the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact but I have no idea which one to get, this is so confusing:(

  • I have used almost all manufacturing phones till date Sony, Samsung, HTC, Nokia Lumia,Ipod-5G, Asus and Moto..but i simply love Moto series. Its simple and younger brother of Nexus series. I had moto x1, but it was stolen. Risked myself for Asus(dumb fone). My love for Moto has bought me back to buying Moto X2. And o feel its even greater than Nexus. All i love is Moto putting full use of their Amoleds using Active display...the best thing for a phone, with Moto Assist(ur PA anytime u need it) and obviously the Voice controls. The UI straightly comes from Vanilla android. Others make their UI customizable so u feel bored after a gap of time. Asus and HTC have very heavily packed UI which drains off battery. Sony provides a damn boring UI and with minimal software updates. Samsung does great with smartphone, but somehow they are overrated. Iphone have outdated specs.Lumia is also my fav, but i lost to android coz i love to customize my phone my way. Final verdict-Moto X n X2 sit behind nexus with added moto apps advantage

  • Heating is a normal, especially when being used while charging.

  • hey guys is this phone safe in underwater? can i wash it

  • I'm use this mobile 2 weeks every think super but only one disadvantage this is heating , this basic or not? Please reply

  • whats so good about Z2... Nothing makes it different than z1 and Z3. Same old boxxy design. Ya its good to have waterproof product but its not about only one feature that makes you buy a device. Its about overall practicality and usage. Moto x is amazingly smart than all other smartphones. No comparison with Z2. It has very good design which is not so common (in fact not common at all). Voice commands are most advanced. Active display is something that makes it very usable. Its the best android device till date.

  • buy it off contract (by paying full price for the phone but make sure it is a verizon network version). If you are month to month w/ verizon there is a significant discount but you may have to call and ask for it first.

  • hey guys can anyone tell me how is the front camera performance

  • can anyone tell how much this device costs if i buy it on a verizon contract?

  • Motorola is now lenovo's ...

  • superb phone 1.awsome audio loudspeaker (not stereo)but it has very live sound 2.superb build quality 3.super fast cpu no lags no heating problems 4.battery backup is ok with me.depending on users 5.display is awesome .its not super amoled otherwise its not over saturated like samsung great phone .....

  • Some part of the internal storage is used up by the software... Its not only with moto X but with every andriod phone....

  • Motorola is a tiresome brand and is proven to give the best... Other brands like lenovo, huwaeii all are chinese rebranded devices... Its useless to buy these devices... also the moto X has many smart features which you wont get in lenovo or any other devices...

  • Sony z2 definitely !!!

  • U can get a new mobile instead of changing display .display will cost u 22k ..

  • can anyone tell which phone has better bettery backup xperia z2 or moto x

  • hey can anyone tell me how tempture sensor works

  • Restart it

  • does quick charge & water resistance feature work well ?

  • can any body notice how water resistance and quick charge feature work ?

  • HI.. There I cracked my MOTO X2 Glass, Please tell me from where did you buy the display?

  • hi frndz my moto x 2nd gen has some mobile data problem its not conneting plz help me

  • The lastest moto e has the same battery backup even it it 4.3 inch display with lower pixel quality. For this device the battery back up is very very poor though it has powerfull processor, high pixel density wit wide display. Its really better to buy unbranded phones like honor 4x, lenovo a7000 and in focus m330 because those phones are available at low cost with higher most specs such as octa core, 3000 mah battery, 13 and 5 mp camera and 2 GB ram. I have handled honor, lenovo and infocus all having solid battery back up and superb fast performance. Comparing moto x to those phones it should be priced for 8 to 10k.

  • 3000 sar only

  • Howzz its camera quality. ????? I'm willing to buy this device. ......

  • Will it get updates ?

  • Flick phone twice instead of once for quick capture to work properly.

  • what is its SAR value??????

  • No it comes with 4.4 out of box but can get to 5.0

  • Same for every phone I have owned. Just learn to read the specs prior to purchasing.

  • oh god, really? have you ever noticed that every manifacturer advertise the total memory of the device, INCLUDING SYSTEM PARTITIONS?

  • This is how Motorola deceives its customers: Moto X was advertised as with 32gb of memory. Actual phone that I received had 24.78gb or 25% less. This is for Moto X Pure Edition, purchased on 5/5/15. If you want a replacement of brand NEW phone, it is only possible for a refurbished phone, or money back. Beware!

  • Used it for a month now. This is the best Android phone that I have owned to date. It is fast, stable and everything just works. The Moto features are intelligent and nice to use. Not gimmicky at all. Best of all, OS is almost stock. Having come from Nexus 4, Moto X fits my needs to a T.

  • All motorola set is the Killer set in their price segment. Whether it is Moto E, Moto G or Moto X.

  • All moto set is the perfect set depending upon your pocket whether you go for Lower range Moto E 1st or 2nd gen, Mid Range Moto G 2nd gen or top end Moto X 2nd gen. You will never feel cheated after adopting Motorola devices as the customers of Samsung and HTC are never happy with their set.

  • Yes, I have had the same experience!! Very fragile!! Mine shattered on a two foot fall, with protective case and screen protector :(

  • Restore ur device. hope to work properly.

  • My "quick capture" feature in camera is not working repeatedly. Can anyone solve my problem?

  • I think as per my perception, If you are looking for Moto-x then you should either go with Moto-x Generation 2 or Moto-G-2 because as i am having moto X Gen-1 and if i would compare it with moto G-2 most probably both are same so instead of paying top dollar for moto x gen 1 you can get these benefits in moto-g-2 in an appropriate prize.

  • We have chosen MotoX 2014 as the flagship phone for our organization (~250 phone users) and are extremely happy. It comes with a very clean Android, without custom junk that other manufacturers pile up on their devices. The phone is of the right size, performs very well and has a decent battery life. To top it all its cost is more than acceptable. A+.

  • Does it come with lollipop out of the box???

  • Moto X 2nd is best in any class either htc or Samsung.

  • I have the older version and I have had it for we'll over a year and dropped it repeatedly even from top of bleachers to concrete...not one crack...it just now got its first crack yesterday when stepped on by accident from a heavier adult woman.

  • Is it really water resistant or they just claim it to be. It doesnt say Certified IP67 water resistant 1m 30minutes officially anywhere.

  • I am using MotoX2 last 3 months. It is a good phone .Only problem I faced is the display got cracked with a fall from very small distance and the cost of display I paid is around 16000/- which is too high.Is the Gorilla glass used is very much fragile ?

  • are you in your senses. moto x is one of the best phones till date. Can you please elaborate how are you comparing the two...???

  • OS is very good optimised.

  • very expencive.. get latest asus zenfone 2 .. with 4GB ram at low prize

  • The best phone

  • Its nice 2 buy Moto x...htc s awst

  • one plus one is hard to get and moto x has best software added plus fast updates active display and moto action plus attentive display .and voice control is just superb.

  • Moto X is a good phone but Oneplus ONE is the best phone to buy in very low budget Display is 1080p FHD Gorilla Glass 3 IPS 13mp Sony Exmor IMX 4K Dci F/2.0 can record slow motion video @ 120fps Flagship Killer of 2015 3gb ram 64gb internal emmc 5.0 can support quick charge 2.0 cause its snapdragon 801 2.5 ghz quad core and lots of features Just 349dollars check out oneplus.net for more

  • Moto x 2 gen is better or HTC Desire 820? Plz help me m gonna buy a phone immediately.

  • excellent phone gives me 24hrs plus always moderate user as for features i am just so in love with this phone ,out of 2gb ram 1gb is free, otg works fine with es file explorer, lollipop updated no issue only weak spot is camera software not best but i can live with it,dont forget to buy cover case if you are careless

  • I cannot guarantee it, but the following information about Motorola UK - Lollipop should be correct: 1: XT1032 G 1st Gen === Lollipop 5.0.2 2: XT1039 G 4G 1st Gen --- Later ( Lollipop ) 3: XT1068 G 2nd Gen === Lollipop 5.0.2 4: XT1072 G 4G 2nd Gen === Lollipop 5.0.2 5: XT1021 E 1st Gen --- Later ( Lollipop ) 6: XT1524 E 4G 2nd Gen === Lollipop 5.0.2 The Part No: XT1524 given by Motorola, is probably incorrect: I queried it but got cut-off before I was given an answer. I was suspicious because - starts with XT15 instead of XT10.

  • No video calling in the diller.

  • Battery*

  • Nice phone, but is a worry. It lasts for about 15-16 he's with regular internet usage. Else every thing is fine. A simple flip cover should be able to provide enough protection to is screen.

  • Good phone but a little over priced

  • Does this phone have video calling option on the dialer and where can one buy this phone? Pls reply.

  • hey guys.! does moto x 2nd gen carries a shit screen with it? user opinions on flipkart state so.! apart from the sucking screen the cost of a new one is 20k.! can anyone with the phone tell me about this.? and which phone is better? htc one m8 or moto x?

  • Do you even Whatsapp bro?

  • The sensors Listing is wrong. The Moto X do not have temperature sensor and barometer. Motorola has confirmed that this device does not have these sensors.

  • Every other phone in TODAYS ERA, is very fragile, many i can name it, but the reason behind it is that it includes many sensitive sensors, and Moto x 2nd gen has one of the most sensitive one, i.e. The IR sensors, for the motion detection infront of the screen. I would recommend everyone to not abuse their smartphones. It is not meant to take blows and bumps, If have to be precise, the only phones I know which take blows easily are the old Nokia phones, but not these smartphones, One of my friends had Samsung Galaxy S5, The phone accidently fell down when he was walking on the road, and a person bumped him from the back ,and because of him the phone fell down, the screen went blank and cracked from sides, He gave it to the service center. Yes i will definetly agree on one point that Motorola charge big money for the repair of the screen, but that is not my point, when the Galaxy S5, came back my friend was happy, but after few days, one day randomly trying out the heart rate sensor, to check his Mother's "BP", Error showed, and he figured out that the sensor is not working, and since then it is not working and the service center also could not help in this matter. So i think you got my point. :) Take care, **CHEERS

  • I want to buy this phone but some reviews on net are showing the display being cracked after falling from a height Of feet is it true should I buy this phone

  • When I got this phone in my hand, I was excited. But it lasted for a few minutes only. This phone does not have group messaging (Group SMS) facility. Ridiculous indeed.

  • Well it depends... Snapdragon's 800 series chipset are among the top end.. 810 was amidst over heating controversy.. Then during a test it was concluded that 810 runs cooler than 801(Google it).. Of course it was just a test & included video playback & an graphic intensive game... But those are just some Tests! Real life usage will differ!!! Then again 810 is 64 bit.. Full compatibility with 64 bit Android Lollipop version! Even u can wait for Moto X 3rd gen.(Hope they will release :D ) It might come with Snapdragon 815 or even 820!

  • thanks,it really helped.

  • is 3g network working in egypt i like this fone

  • It is 4g

  • If 4G

  • It support 2g 3g 4g

  • If its lte its 4g. So the answer is yes.

  • I love the phn but nly prob is abt the screen as I read I prev reviews..it the screen so fragile? And isn't the device available in any store other than online?????

  • Hi phone performance is awesome after lollipop update. Only one disadvantage on this phone, no memory slot. Otherwise great. Grab it.

  • In moto x 2nd gen. the preinstalled camera app, does not feature tap to focus, if we install the default Google Camera app from the store, will it re-initiate tap to focus feature?

  • One question left just to make a this candy more delightful is that should i update "EVA" - My moto x to Lollipop. How does this lollipop update works with overall performance of the phone.

  • ya i got lollipop for my moto x too.. animations look pretty good ,no lag, but i see some google search crash report on screen sometimes, and camera turning on itself in some-screens

  • Moto X 2014 owner since Dec 12th 2014. Sold my HTC One M8 back to Motorola for $250 , and used the cyber Monday rebate of $140 to purchase my Mahogany 32gb Moto X 2nd gen. I previously owned the 2013 Moto X and loved the Touchless features but wanted more power, or so I thought. I got the M8 and loved it, just couldn't get by without the touchless features and 3rd party apps just weren't cutting it. The Moto X's 5'2 inch screen is just big enough, the single front firing speaker is just loud enough, the camera is just good enough, but the voice control and touchless control features are un-paralled in my opinion. Waving my palm to see notifications or touchin the creen to preview incoming texts, emails etc are huge time savers. Using voice dialing with or without my blu-tooth device, or canceling an incoming call with the wave of my hand is more than I could ask for in my mobile phone. As you can see I really like this 2nd generation of the Moto X!!!!

  • Received the 576MB Lollipop updated on my X 2014 on 20th Dec at around 12AM. Noticed slight lag on the first day of usage. Now it's working just fine! More updates later. How about the rest of you Moto X 2nd gen owners? Anybody want to share their experience with Android L?

  • Motorola sent me a 2 lemon phones. I like how easy it is to get in touch with a representative however they fail terrible at resolving the issue. First phone speaker was not working in and out, then the 2nd phone stopped working after 2 week of use. The battery won't recharge and a green LED shows up when I charge, but won't boot up. I've made many attempts to resolve the issue but everytime i speak to a different rep i get a different answer as to whether theyll fix the phone or not. Motorola is trying to copy apple's custoomer service but fail at it from my experience. I hope everyone else has better luck than me

  • i want this phone so bad

  • Does this or any other moto phone have a car cradle like the droid 3, or some way to get audio out through a USB cable with 1/8" phono adapter? I really like not having to plug cables to use in my car. With the droid 3 I just drop the phone into the cradle and everything is all set to go. This is the only thing holding me back from upgrading to this phone.

  • Hey if i buy unlocked pure version from USA can i use it in europe and asia on gsm networks and LTE ?

  • ummm i don't understand what do you mean a htc e8 got more shortcuts than a moto x 2014 ? in my guess both got same number of shortcuts on front screen in a row, i have a m8 it only displays four shortcuts in a row ...

  • I love this phone but they said they will get updates soon but I still dont have the lollipop update and the battery life is shit

  • May I know the reason

  • Umm go in for an e8....its got more shortcuts than a moto x2....my opinion mate

  • this moto stuff is terrible regading battery. This is crazy low performance. I'm looking to switch phone but my LG G2 has a 81h battery rating. Jesus Motorola is total 2011 here.

  • on 21 Nov

  • Did anybody know any latest news about android 5.0 lollipop update for moto x 2nd generation in India (official OTA update).

  • Motorola Nexus 6 ... i think

  • Officially 32gb version is not available in India....16gb is available only on flipkart at around 33k

  • Motorola moto x 2gen....better in every aspect

  • Which is better nexus 5 or Moto X 2gen

  • Does this come with tmobile as the carrier?

  • Just upgraded from the original MotoX, which is a GREAT phone. Honestly I'm a bit disappointed with the new one. The battery life is worse, and it's almost too big for my hand. It's more of a two handed phone now. The other one I thought was a perfect form factor. I wish I could have the new features from the latest phone in the body of the old one. Advice - if you buy this new Moto X, get the Turbo Charger!!

  • Battery i think can be more mAh . 2300 mAh for high performance smartphone not good

  • Had the Moto X for a week now and i love it so much. I had a Nexus 5 before and if the next Nexus phone was 5" I'd get another one. But phablet is to big for my pocket... Next best think is the Moto X pure and I'm very happy with it including battery life and camera performance. Only negative is the slippyness of the body (inc thin sides of the phone) and the volume button being too low down the side. I can see me dropping it unless I'm very careful!!!! Other than that awesome especially in black with ebony back.

  • thumbs up to moto x 2nd generation. I feel very satisfy with the awesome phone's performance and all.

  • Yes it is worth to buy Motorola Moto X. It is nice in performance and battery too. Waiting for android 5.0 lollipop update B-)

  • I am planning to buy Moto X 2nd gen , can anyone tell me hws is it ,, and whether i should but the phone or not . pls tell me as i am in a big mess .

  • Can anyone confirm...does this phone (Moto X 2nd Gen) supports Google Chromecast device to mirror screen ???

  • moto x2 is better in almost all features ,

  • Miss codec ( divx flac .....) and 16gb .... come on no micro sd ....

  • it is good if it has with dual sim card slot

  • both are not good at this price as compared to xperia ZR and moto x first gen.

  • Under 18000 the best options you have right now are - xperia ZR and moto x first gen. If only camera is your priority then I must say that you should go for ZR but if you want a overall well performance in a device then you only opt for moto x first gen as its suree to run android 5.0 lollipop which will carry on its legacy of smooth performance. And also moto x has a no. of practical features like voice control and active display that you can never find on any other device other than a moto out there. If you have other queries you can mail me at - [email protected]

  • xperia m2...htc desire 816g...lg l bello..lg g3 beat..samsung grand prime or grand 2... or i will advise u to buy sony c3(camera fone)..u will get it for 19k..or if u wanna buy windows fone then lumia 730 is great..watch reviews on youtube.

  • Go for gionee m3, coming soon check specifications

  • u should buy grand 2 or canvas turbo under price 18000 .

  • Would you change your Moto G 2ng gen 16 Gb for this phone? Why? Is it so much better? Thanks!

  • my budget is 18000 which one is best to use. I need good camera quality and battery life. plz suggest me which mobile is the best to buy.

  • Which is better? Htc one e8 or moto X2??

  • Can someone please help me out. During checkout in the Moto Maker, it says - Availability: In stock Nov 17, 2014. Does this mean its backordered? But in a previous screen it said that it would take 9 days to deliver. I just don't get it!

  • To be frank Moto x 2nd gen is a fantastic phone. In its price range.

  • How come the official battery test for Moto X 2014 is not in the GSM Arena database?? I know you have alluded to it in the infographic in the review. Pretty much the only reason I have not bought the phone....

  • Shame on Motorola loses the opportunity to sell a geran team ... no FM Radio SD Card without Samsung seems miserable

  • NOT TRUE ... CAMERA IS GOOD IF U KNOW HOW TO USE IT , and battery life is great if u disable some necessary apps and keep the brightness low .. so this phone is awesome and deserves the money

  • Toooo worst, waste of money, battery and camera performance is big issues,I received motox(2014) today 3pm,user memory is 10 GB only, pls don't buy this, its my suggestion, camera picture quality is very poor with flash, ring flash is the big con to the new moto x, moto x (2013) is 10 times better than new moto x

  • I loved your touch And your body That super sensitive response And feather weight feel how can I question your memory And the way you look at me.... The shots were great when I hold touched you rightly, U r the best thing I can hold for entire day. Thank u my new X....MOTO X.

  • is this phone really hav fast charging??

  • Does this phone really have fast charging??

  • Fantastic smartphone, I relay like it. I'm an ex Apple maniac.

  • How can I change ringtone. (Other Ringtones)

  • if u think that camera isnt that good .. i watched some videos on youtube to tell me how to improve the camera and it works now the camera is excellent :)

  • Can the google search bar be removed from every home screen? Can the google pane be removed from the left without turning google off?

  • Help please how can I set which pane is the home screen?

  • Bro camera is good enough but can't exactly compare it with note 3 neo bcoz havn't used note 3's camera. dont get me wrong bro but I dont think there are much of noticeable differences in cameras of phones having same price ranges. Most of the time it depends on the prson who clicks it and moreover no camera on phone is even comparable to normal semi SLRs or bridge cameras which are available at very cheap price. But still I kno its good to have better when one is spending some money. But my point is that first of all compare them as a gadget on the basis of overall performance, softwares and UI and then finally look for camera. if camera is very dissapointing in any of the device then it is obvious to drop that one but its not in case with moto x and note 3. Both have almost similar quality but for sure note 3 offers a no. of shooting modes more than x. But I seriously dont think that they make much of diference in picture quality because room for improvement is quite less.

  • are you fine man..??? this phone is best example of innovation. If you think that its not good then please Iwould definitely like to know what phone do you think is better...??? everyone will get to have some knowledge.

  • you are mistaken... they just got reinvented be google

  • howz the camera guys im just confused between note 3 neo and moto x 2nd gen plssss help guys plsss

  • i think the moto company is sitting free so thats y they r inventing such a flop handsets....... these handset is the best example

  • I've owned this phone for just one week, but it has made me feel as excited about it as i was about the initial release of the original google phone. This thing is superb in every way imaginable: it's very fast, very smooth and fluid, the screen is bright and excellent, the bamboo back feels very good in the hand, and the battery life is on a different level from any phone i've had before (most recent was the galaxy s4). This thing will easily pull 50 hours of use for me with about 4 hours of screen on time. That is of course if you disable location services and stop the google play services. With those two on I can get a solid 24 hours with the same use. No complaints here!

  • Moto x is superb. Cant compare sony and moto x . Sony battery back up sucks

  • Just go for Sony xperia z3 compact.superb camera, loooong battery life and gud style.highly recommend

  • Had mine for a few days. I can usually pull 3 to 4 hours of screen on time with 17 hours unplugged. Considering Google Play Services keeps my phone awake for 3 hours per day, the Moto X has surprising battery life.

  • hey guys i am new here and i would please like to know which is better z3 compact or moto x 2014 i am mostly interested in battery life and performance which is the less laggy one pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee reply moto x 2014 user or z3 compact user

  • guys is the moto x 2nd gen battery worse than nexus 5 how much will it last for heavy usage gaming listening to music watching vids plsssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss reply moto x user

  • Has anyone seen if its really water resistant?

  • Is moto x the flagship of Motorola? New droid turbo is now the real flagship. Really disappointed on the specs given to moto x. At least the camera should be given a better one

  • thank u sooooooooooo much i am so happy to know that wish everyone were like yall helpful and ready

  • battery is not a big issue moto has its own technology to make it for a day usage. moreover android 5.0 will give more battery and also low battery charging time (amazing UI too). so don't worry about battery :-)

  • Moto X easily fit in the palm and in pocket too. its performance is nice and the battery backup will come the whole day (more than 24hrs for me) with average usage of 3g internet, gaming, videos etc.

  • Hi! it's about the same size as Nexus 5 - only 3mm bigger. you won't be able to tell the difference! see this pic You can definitely fit it in your pocket (unless you have super skinny jeans)

  • Yes it is .2 Inches bigger than nexus 5.

  • hi guys i am new here hope i will make some friends so could anybody tell me is the moto x 2014 much bigger than nexus 5 plssssssssssssss reply can it easily fit in a pocket

  • Moto X 2nd generation have No radio , too bad .

  • ok please read. the only problerm is that the battery is not so good but its good enough but in other ways is fantastic and i buy it and im shure about my choice

  • Iam a motorola users which is my unit is Motorola defy, im so impressed for the performance, although this unit is too old and cant compare to other unit, and the specification is low, i think moto x much better performance, compare to this unit w/c ihave, iphone, htc, samsung etc... its all have a very good specification tech, i believe that moto x2 also have the same performance with the other android os..

  • non- removable battery, no expandable sd slot,2300 mah battery........... hope fully waste of money

  • Excellent Phone

  • hi guys i am new here hope i will make some friends so could anybody tell me is the moto x 2014 much bigger than nexus 5 plssssssssssssss reply can it easily fit in a pocket

  • I noticed that on the motorola (moto x 2nd generation) website does not appear the specifications of the device as the pressure sensor (barometer) and temperature sensor (thermometer), as the review described in this site. Does anyone have an explanation?

  • Everything just upto date, however the inbuilt storage of mere 16GB non-expandable is just too insufficient, hopefully Motorola will release atleast a 32Gigs version.

  • I don't disagree with you about the iPhone being a solid phone overall and indeed, it would perform better than this phone overall. But you see, if Nexus 6 is out of my budget, even more so for either iPhone 6 or 6 Plus. They're both way out of my budget. If you're referring to older iPhone models, I'm just not into it. My sister still uses her ageing 3GS, it still impressively works but I'm just not familiar with iOS. Sure I could figure out how to call or sms or launch an app on them but I'm not as comfy as others would use them. If you notice, in my previous comment, I jumped from Moto X2 to Holly then to Zenfones as my alternatives. I do not rule out the price into account, too. For the cheaper price, I'm fine with it having an awful camera. Also, in my recent comment, it's rare to never that I take still photos using a phone, and rarely do I record. As for the ring flash, in most of the recent TV series and reality TV shows I watch, I notice pro cameras camermen use have lights/flashes (not sure if LED type) around their lenses or macros. Sometimes their lenses are rectangular/squared-shaped, other times they are circular/ring-shaped. But I mostly see them use the flash around rectangular lenses more than circular lenses. During behind the scenes in TV series and when cameramen accidentally show fellow cameramen shooting in reality shows. Lastly, as you say ring flash making no difference, then I could consider the feature as some cool factor at least by my criteria :-) Also, as I'm not particular with Android version, I considered having Lollipop being optional. I just replaced Honor Holly to Honor 4X in my list.

  • It shall be in great hands with me. I am not much of a multitasker, nor a power hungry heavy user. I'm even more casual than an average casual user. I do prefer having one app at a time running to prolong CPU, RAM, and battery life. Based on others' and my experience, having multiple apps running in the background simultaneously almost all the time causes irritatingly rough, delayed, and laggy experience, not to mention, eventually it would shorten CPU, RAM, and battery's lifespan/life cycle across any type of device; name it phones, tablets, or computers. I'm not the selfie type nor the picture everything type either. I'm fine with low-res cameras on phones, I'm not particular with still picture camera resolution quality. Even if there are some rare one-off moments I stumble upon while on the move, I'm fine shooting them in low-res. Otherwise , if the moment calls for some scenic pictorials, I can always borrow my siblings' waterproof 16.1MP digicam. Of course, I'd need to know about it for me to prepare, still not a hassle. So long as a phone is able to record at least on 1080p@30fps, I'm totally into it. This phone can even shoot at 2160p@30fps, so it's a plus for me as it exceeds my minimum requirement. Also, this phone has an FHD screen display resolution, I could watch 1080p movies or review 1080p-recorded videos (if it has playback features) on it; certainly another bonus for me :-)

  • HTC one M8 or E8 based on your budget. Both have same specs but different body I'm using one E8 since 2 months and can assure you it's the best phone I have ever used

  • What's so special about the stock version? I use HTC phone from 3yrs. HTC one X, one M7 and now M8. So don't speak anything. BlinkFeed is amazing. I can bet that HTC has the smoothest and super fast lagfree ui see antutu benchmark results it's the best among all phones

  • What do you know about the HTC one series before commenting on it's BlinkFeed?? It is the coolest feature one in phone where we can get updates from all areas of our interest n all social networking sites simultaneously. Get a life dude. MotoX can never compare to HTC phones. HTC have premium build best boom sound speakers cam and n the sense 6 UI is awesome. Battery backup also superb. In fact HTC one E8 costs similiar to MotoX n it's better

  • The ring flash doesn't make any difference. Even the iPhone's is better! Besides, the camera is awful, and no great flash would make up for it!

  • a very good phone if you can get along with poor battery and not so great camera, rest is great, doesnt lag, super smooth

  • I just noticed this does not have OTG but still I like the design of the rear. I may not need OTG feature for now

  • If Moto X2 becomes available in my country's shelves by tge end of the year, I'll grab one in a blaze. I love its dual LED flash inside a ring design. If it does not, I'll wait for Honor Holly. But if Holly does not come too, I'll end up with buying either Zenfone 6 or Zenfone 5. Whichever phone I will grab, I can wait for the next Nexus or Silver (if they drop the Nexus line) with a 64-bit octa-core when it gets discounted half its launch price. The chip's brand does not matter to me so long as the device is from the Nexus or Silver line :-) So my question is, will Moto X2 hit Philippine market?

  • why there are no photo/video samples in gsm compare tool?

  • How much ?

  • When did new moto x 32GB version come to india

  • Til 37 is fine actually, human blood is at 37 and anyway even 42 is fine, the concerns come with gaming at 60 on a Note II...

  • Is the USB OTG enables for Moto X - 2014?

  • it takes 3 hours

  • Not able to Sync FB contacts, any idea why the option isn't available. Don't want to use external Sync Apps.

  • Please tell me............. I want to transfer my game's data from internal storage to USB (via OTG) in Moto X 2nd Generation, will the game work? Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaassssssssseeeeeeeeee

  • Dude, its normal for all phone to heat up when playing games.

  • Some people are saying that HTC one m8 is a better device but guys its not true because of the blinkfeed interface but I would say if you guys think that battery can be an issue then look for "droid turbo". For sure its going to set new parameters for android flagship.

  • hi all, using the device for past 3 days.i have general question regarding the battery temperature. mine is usually operating @ 31 to 32c( i dont feel warm) when my phone is idle and when i browse, game temp is going till 37,38 degress celcius and i can feel the heat/warm when my phone is in use. Please let me know is this is normal for all moto x 2014 model. Thanks for you help in advance.

  • I want to transfer my game's data from internal storage to USB (via OTG) in Moto X 2nd Generation, will the game work?

  • i lick it HTC one m8 is not running the stock version of android you will later on feel the sluggishness in the overall performance and also blinkfeed makes em go slow ehere as almost stock version of android running in the veins of this

  • Because HTC one m8 is not running the stock version of android you will later on feel the sluggishness in the overall performance and also blinkfeed makes em go slow ehere as almost stock version of android running in the veins of this device make it go blazing fast in day todays use. for proper idea you must compare it head this device head to head with i phone 6 which is one of the fastest device in market. Only moto x is able to give it some competition.

  • Htc One M8 for sure, currently the best smarphone in the world.

  • moto x gen 2 for sure. better specs, feature and performance at cheaper price.

  • No, is better Moto X(2014), lock to bending test.

  • Super AMOLED produces 20% bright picture than AMOLED Display so users should not compare this device with S5

  • Yeah, but I love this.. the problem with the HTC it has only 16Gb internal memory, in UAE (Dubai) it is coming with 16gb not 16 and 32, thats why I chose Samsung galaxy s5. but i was hoping motorola will enable the SD card in all their phones. thanks for your reply.

  • htc one m8

  • wouldnt it better with 3000++mah battery + energy efficient?

  • Frnds which mobile should i preferred moto x 2nd gen or htc one e8 or m8 or xperia z1 or google nexus 5

  • tell me your screen on time

  • becoz that 2300mah battery works fine . it's 3.8 volt. and phone is energy efficient. which gives full day life :P 2300 on moto x is better than 2800 on other :P

  • Which one is best nexus 5 or moto x 2gen...?

  • whats up with battery .. 3 years ago they wre putting 3400mah battery in a 4.3 inch droid,, and now they have put a 2300mah battery in a 5.2 inch fullHD fone... amazing????

  • As benchmark says , its will charge in 3 hours.

  • Cuz its not HTC ;) they finally did it with M8 and metal body which don't have removable back but still able to put SD Card. I've ordered mine and many others would have.

  • Every reviewer praises for its looks and premium feel, everyone sees its one of great phone, and only con it have is battery timing is not great, but its not so bad too.. I've seen some says no IR blaster I'm using HTC from three generation and One and M8 both have but I don't find it very useful its not easy to change channel or operate tv with that.

  • I am wondering, why such a big company like Moto didnt do such a beautiful phone with card-slot? I was waiting for this, till it came out and then I saw it without card-slot capability. I felt so bad. Good luck Moto ... but please do such phones with different internal memory like 16, 32 and 64 and enable the card-slot please. I really want this phone to come with minimum 32 gb internal memory and it has card-slot option.

  • Popularity at 23% Yet, I can't find one positive review. isn't that rather strange. For a website who supposedly give products the very best reviews lmao

  • Guys anyone please tell me how much time it takes to complete full charge with its box content charger

  • Am so confused between moto x 2014 and htc one m8.. Moto has bigger disadvantages compared to htc.. Cons: -Poor battery life.. Like thats a neccessity and I can't do without my phone lasting me full day with good usage. -Can't expand the storage on this one. -Have heard about the screen having this yellowish tint and being more on the yellowish side.. Even saw in the reviews that when they compare to the galaxy s5, and open the kitkat logo, the white in that logo looks proper white on samsung but yellowish on motorola. -Camera. Have heard though on zooming m8 pixelates, this phone has a very inconsistent camera. Pics tend to blurrr easily. Also am paying 31k for motorola and 35k for HTC one m8 with bill n warranty in India. So price is better but not drastically different.. And also getting this phone is like a gamble when it comes to looks.. Many say it doesn't look good and there's no way to see it before I get it as it's not on display in the stores and none of my friends have it either.. Too big a risk I think.. I think I'll skip this one from motorola as the cons overpower the pros.. And they are big shortcomings.. Major ones.. Couple of features less would do lik FM and stuff as in todays world who listens to FM, atleast I don't.. But things like battery life and storage cannot be changed once bought.. Maybe the next version.. Or the nexus 6 if it comes out soon enough..

  • About 2 hrs

  • In loudness numbers of the speakers, both are same. The headphone volume of HTC is too high. Moto X would give you as loud music as S5...

  • Battery not good, seems like Motorola got now kindergarden small small managers What's the point of the rest specifications???

  • Is it possible to buy it somewhere in Paris?

  • Any one please tell that how long time it take to get full complete 100% charge from 10% or 20% with its inbuild charger(India)?

  • Is it beat htc E8 boomsound? ?

  • Quite good. Not as loud as Moto G 1st gen but a respectable loudness and great quality, same is the case with headphones...

  • Can anyone tell me that how is sound quality in moto x 2nd generation

  • True. Well said.

  • Even I feel so but some times I get very good photos and some times bad. Its inconsistent. But the hardware is definitely there. Should be software correction required

  • choice are need

  • Perfomance is good ! But battery is bad

  • If i order this phone (GSM pure edition unlocked) from motorola website US will it work in UAE, as i want 32gb option? Any body have any idea if it will officially release in UAE, MOTO X (1st Gen) is already available but same issue only 16gb (12gb user) available & with non expandable memory 32gb will be better option for me

  • Why are you even bothering to ask? If someone can dare to say a comment like that then just ignore it.

  • Will u elaborate how is it a better option. Other than camera, what's better in the toy
