Nokia 130 Dual SIM - User Reviews

  • You can do these: 1. Capture the photo using the camera and set it as a wallpaper. Although the camera is very blurry, still an option. 2. Buy a memory card, connect it to the PC, transfer the wallpaper and then set it.

  • Unfortunately, you can't increase the memory by adding a memory card. The messages are always stored in the internal memory.

  • But you can hold the next/previous button while in music player app to fast forward/rewind.

  • Yes you can, just below your post I have posted the same comment. I'm using it with Motorola Ververider (bluetooth headset) for calls and music. You can attend calls while listening to music, pause, play but cannot skip songs. Battery life will be very worse since you will be using a memory card and bluetooth all the time. I get maximum one day with bluetooth music.

  • does nokia 130 have Bluetooth support A2DP? can i use wireless headset with this phone?

  • Are you even for real? i’m Using it for almost a year with Motorola Ververider Bluetooth earphones for music and calls.

  • Same phone Nokia 130 Dual SIM 2 years later. The battery lasts 22 days. The phone is sitting on my desk without to touch it/talk or use it. All the time I had only 1 sim inserted in the phone!

  • please help :(

  • hi voice call is very low ! how can i fix it ?

  • this is just light on !

  • My secondary phone

  • just tap the up botton while calling

  • By mistake my phone has fallen so its screen went black n now nothing is appearing on it

  • For calls it's totally ok - like more then 1 week in silent mode and like 4-5 days of active using(calls, mp3, radio, video) But beware of mp3 functions: It's quite nice that it allows to use 32 gb microSd card, but in the same time Nokia 130 always have the wrong order of songs of music album and(!) YOU CAN'T FACT FORWARD your audio files. For usual music it does not matter in almost all cases but that means that you can't listen audio books normally. Another interesting fact that phone has video player that can do fast forward while playing file. I usually convert my long mp3 files to video to listen them :)

  • Plz tell me my phone only stores 30 msgs and its memory gets full and says to delete msgs in order to recieve new msgs Why is it so? Can we increase msg memory by inserting memory card??

  • I just found out by chatting with Nokia tech support that this phone only operates on GSM 900 / 1800 MHz. This means it does not operate in US at all, as was told by the cell phone sales people.

  • wrong address

  • I just bought my Nokia 130 Dual Sim (in Sweden) and was told it will work in USA also. The manual reads nothing about American frequencies (850/1900 Mhz) though, so I wonder: Can anybody confirm it will work in US also?

  • what is standby screen and screen list in nokia 130 dual sim 2017 can any one tell this. user guide not having such information.

  • The instructions with the unit I purchased are in Italien,a language which I do not understand. How can I obtain an English version.

  • Is it supports internet?

  • Just Search in Internet for "Blinking KeyPad While Showing Nokia Logo" for Nokia 130, then You will Know What a shit is this phone!

  • Yes. It have bt nor high brightness bt enough

  • Strong phone

  • I've been using the phone as a faithful little sidekick for about 2 years now and I can categorically say your writeup is full of cr@p,the device has been excellent in what it is supposed to do and comes highly recommended..I'll buy it AGAIN in a heart beat if I need a new feature phone..

  • New brand phone 130 made in india Good battery life 5 day normal use for call I am using from & purchase 10 day ago ***excellent *** Don't write wrong comments I am waiting Nokia 3 android phone Thanks Nokia 2017

  • Battery lasts more than 3 days,Nokia 130 has loud call volume. I have it more than 19 months and it is still working perfectly... Nokia 130 is the best little phone. You wrote in your comment that battery does not last more than 2 hours...! This is the dumbest lie i have ever read...congratulations... Be careful what you write next time -stop spreading such lies...

  • At the outset ,Nokia 130 has really low call volume . Also, in the beginning the features work fine but after 1 month they start deteriorating eg. battery does not last more the 2 hours , phone start to hang at boot screen, music player gets stuck. Also there is no service provided by Nokia for handsets under warranty and the return period online shopping sites is just 10 days. Go with Samsung guru music 2 which is better in all aspects than Nokia 130.

  • Make sure you push the jack hard because nowadays most of the phones are quite snug and may not let the headphones all the way. So you need to push them properly. After connecting the headphone properly if the issue isn’t solved, check if the phone is muted. To check that go to Volume settings, and if you see a speaker icon displaying there with a line on it, then the volume is muted for the headphone. Increase the volume. Some obstructions at the headphone port may cause the problem as the port is always opened and exposed to dirt. Therefore, check the port and blow into it or you can also use compressed air if anything is stuck there, to clean dirt and dust. For more hacks approach to Samsung Hm1100 Manual-

  • Its a very nice phone

  • On a brand new phone Nokia 130 Dual SIM with warranty, the battery lasts 21/22 days. The phone was sitting on my desk for 2 months without to touch it/talk or use it. First month its switched off on 21th day. And the second month its switched off on 22th day without touching the phone. All the time I had only 1 sim inserted in the phone!

  • Bluetooth does not support A2DP, so you cannot use wireless headset with this phone.

  • Can you use a 128k-4G SimCard with in both the sim1 and sim2 slots?.. And won't have any functionality problems?

  • But is 1100 dual sim?

  • This phone don't have many options in music player. If you want to play the song u want, then u have to scroll it from the beginning. All the music files are automatically update for the music library and you can't select a specific folder

  • Sir, when I make a call or receive any call, It is off self and self on also. I brought It from flipcart on dated 29 - 11-2016.please give me advice for my mobile nokia 130 dual Sim

  • I just used this phone 1 year and 2 months only. Now my phone is dead. When I went to service center they says no parts for this model. So I'll have to purchase another phone. So though this phone is good if some issue occurs after warranty period you have to go for a new phone.

  • I bough my Nokia 130 Dual Sim four days ago i since then I've been experiencing constant problems with connecting to the Lycamobile network. When I switch my simcard (or simcards) to my oldschool Nokia 2610 the network connects in an instant. May it have something to do with a poor receiver sensitivity? Did anyone encounter similar problems?

  • Great performance, long last battery, nice design (black color), BUT YOU CAN'T add new wallpapers other than the 3 provided as default.

  • Couldn't agree more. Small, light and reliable while I'm travelling. Dual helps too.

  • In Nokia 130 .... Is having flashlight...???

  • return it for replacement sir

  • great side phone for calls i simply love it and my OnePlus 3 for internet and other tasks, there are few reasons why i got this phone 1. Its because of its size and weight which is very small and fit in pocket along side my smartphone. 2. the battery backup which lasts 3 days with double sim stand by . 3. Its nokia which means it durable 4. its great mp3 player no need to pick up my smartphone for running early in the morning . Highly recommended for peoples who needs small phones just for call, text, music. peace

  • Hi, problem with dual sim settings? I selected sim1 for calls and sms (NOT ask every time), but it keeps asking me. For example if I get missed call and I go to call back on locked screen it gives me choose sim1 or sim2 (when I go to call back from call registry>missed calls it work ok, sim1 as selected, but if I call back from locked screen it gives me selection, why?). Sms - when answering sms or when choosing number from call registry and going to send sms it always gives me "select sim1 or sim2", even though I made sim1 as my default sms sim... Is this how it is supposed to work, or is it broken?

  • I bought this phone in the UK - and it worked fine, with both SIM cards and respective service providers. However, it does not work in Mexico or Colombia (my old handset works fine) so it must be this particular handset. Can anyone help/advise on this? It is as if it is blocked for international operatations.... Thanks for any assistance

  • Bought it as replacement for my old Nokia 1100 - bad mistake. Used if for a month and find its texting program is awful. The phone will add commas and question marks seemingly at random and there is nothing you can do to stop it. Try to type "is" and it gives you "gr" even after you type a space - predictive program is rubbish, far worse than the ancient 1100. So it's been boxed and dumped in a drawer - I'm sticking with my 1100 - no colour, no radio, no video, but works like a dream!

  • Yes you can use a mp3 to ringtone on Nokia 130... Use the Music player, Options, All songs, Options on your choice, Use ringtone, choice the sim usung this ringtone... That all !

  • Another limitation that much much older Nokia simple phones allow... :-\

  • BAD: - OK key on the center of the directional key is a pain! - Left option key USELESS (could be the OK key has in older models) - No KEY personalization!! - Screen is reflective, poor contrast... - Limited SIM options (ex: BLOCK SIM 1 from making calls to avoid other phone users dialing with that same SIM through contacts menu options) - No grip... falls easily from the hand - TOO many useless functions (radio? music? and those 2 lousy games!?) Nokia... oh Nokia!!!

  • Yes... another fault! I miss my old NOKIA 1209:

  • Screen is BAD, i agree! Contrast is poor, screen is reflective... NOKIA went downhill with this phone. Who cares about 2 lousy games, music and radio? WHERE are is all the customization that could be easily done? BAD nokia... BAD!

  • Both SIM cards are available at the same time when the device is not being used, but while one SIM card is active, for example, making a call, the other may be unavailable.

  • Nice phone but call clarity is very bad on this phone. I bought it just on thursday and went back today to change it., Same issues. Radio reception is not that good either. Flash light on the back is very poor and not comparable to other ones with flash light on the top instead of the back.. I think 107 is better than this though over all, i would rather prefer Asha 208 and Asha 210...

  • good!! ^_^

  • Really Basic Nokia mobile phone. Very Soft/spongy key pad. Only useful for a backup phone in my experience.

  • is there any way to customize functions for special keys !? what really is anoying me is that the main-"enter-functionality" moved from the left button (in older/simple nokia-phones) to this middlebutton which is not really useful to handle (for me at least), as you have to type on it like you type on a computerkeyboardbutton (namely from "above", which is not the way I type these mobilephones normally) as the pressingarea is a little bit to small on that middlebutton. and just as an example: with my older nokiaphones I could easily type and send a sms during riding a bike, which is not possible with this phone anymore. maybe it's a security-feature :)

  • Made in hungry is the best 130 manufactured by vetnam

  • It is normal one sim will be working on the same time .. during the call the second sim will be off . is normal time - the two sim card are ready to receive and send calls . it you would like to receive the call on sim 2 . so you should activate call forwarding on sim2 to the Sim 1 and activate call waiting on Sim 1. but you will charge for call forwarding based on the call rate .

With one eye you see black, with the other eye the black turns gray. If you will turn the phone landscape, the problem don't apear. It's make me sick I like the build quality, the keypad, the shape of the phone and I am sorry that Nokia don't want to put the screens in the normal position / orientation. I have switched to a Samsung E1200 for this reason, and I am very happy with it.

  • I just bought this phone recently as a first time phone for 9 year old son. I'm trying to put songs and videos on it but not succeeding! I bought a 32GB sd card and I assumed I could just copy files from my computer to the phone through a USB cable but it doesn't seems to work. Am I doing something wrong. I'm a little disappointed that Nokia have a section in the user guide as to how to listen to music from your phone but not how to get in on their in the first place! Thanks

  • MUST BUY IN THIS PRICE. Purchased Yesterday.. Excellent basic phone. Good built quality. I'll give it a 10/10 for it's value for money, design and weight. Bought it @Rs 1600 Black Model for ME & RED colour model @Rs 1680 for my DAD It support regular size dual sims (Not MINI sim) You can manage the dual sim setting (To active or Deactive any of the sim) Call quality is also superb. There is NOO voice leak problem in this handset ear piece speaker Good Keypad. The keypad is very soft & responsive the buttons are properly spaced so that you don't accidently press the wrong one. It has a tiny LED light & a speaker on the back don't expect much from LED light, ring volume is loud enough It does come with a music & a video player built in. The only thing missing is a photo viewer although it comes preloaded with 3 wallpapers which you can view on its screen but no support for any JPEG or other picture file formats. It also has bluetooth & a micro Usb port which is used for charging & connecting the phone to the computer. I had put 16GB Hp class 10 sd card and it work well Bluetooth has very limited use only to send recieve mp3. No use for images coz it does' nt hav file explorer. There is no internet connection Battery life is very impressive Contact support only 1 number per contact in phone memory This phone will not disappoint you in sound and call quality. U can go for it. THANX

  • HI.I recently bought Nokia 130(black colored) from a reputed dealer in Rs 1650.I am extremely delighted with every feature of it.Reasons why I purchased it inspite of having a smart phone...1.Smart phones needed to be charged every single day sometimes twice and still I never had the guarantee that I could make emergency calls when needed before my phone switched off.2.I wasted a lot of time on whatsapp,fb,internet and youtube and it was pretty addicting. Hence I decided to buy a simple feature phone with basic features and zeroed upon Nokia 130 after much research on internet. Why to buy Nokia 130? 1.Its very handy and cute and available in many colors.Light weight. 2.Its quite cheap.3.Voice call clarity is excellent.I dont find any voice leakage.4. good brand phone with bluetooth, music player, memory card slot, dual sim, radio, torch light and other features.5.Long battery standby. Excellent phone for..1.Students..prevents wasting of time 2.First time cell phone buyers. 3.Old people..easy to use. 4.People going on a faraway vacation or who hate to charge their phone again and again. 5.people who need a break and want to spend more time with themselves and their family.

  • Anybody can tell me how about voice call quality ? Is it have same voice leakage just like nokia 101 or 105 ? Or this one have good voice call like nokia 109 ? One thing that's making me doubt about nokia low end is voice call quality on earpiece, usually nokia just have one speaker that use for two outgoing voice, that's make voice call are leaked from rear hole speaker.

  • Thank you very much for the info. I've already got 1 buy this in amount of 1,360.00.

  • I wanted to buy Nokia 130 also before, but it's not available in Sm Bacoor, so I bought Samsung B312E instead @SM Bacoor, P1,590 (Dec 27, 2014) @BSD International. Mp3 Can play in background. • The Nokia 130 Dual Sim is already available in Featival Mall Alabang, SM MOA and Robinson's Place. Price starts at P1,380 up. I bought mine by mid-November 2014 as a secondary phone for landline calls. Battery is great (lasting 2-3 days if mainly for calls. For music, video or games is another matter). Display is quite good enough, just do not compare it to a smart phone display for obvious reasons. The Nokia 130 is lightweight so much so it seems it is not in my pocket. The keypad is ergonomically designed and is just right. Plus points go to its bluetooth connectivity and its charger head - similar to its Samsung galaxy counterpart. At the very least, I can bring only 1 charger that charges them all (my Samsung Galaxy S4 and Nokia 130 Dual Sim). Minus points goes to the Nokia 130 in terms of connectivity because my phone does not have any WAP capability. At all. Just bluetooth. =) Overall, I like the simplistic functionality of the Nokia 130 Dual Sim..

  • Not available britness control.so sad

  • Indeed. Got fooled too lol. But nice good looking phone for call and text.

  • The Nokia 130 Dual Sim is a good backup or secondary phone. Both SIM are on dual standby. Making outgoing calls and sending SMS a breeze with this particular unit because I do not have to manually switch from SIM1 to SIM2 & vice versa. There is also a dedicated key (found on the lower left most part of the keypad) for its Dual SIM Settings. Overall, the nokia 130 is a good sturdy phone for someone who relies more on calls and sms.

  • What is the message settings of this phone? I mean is it possible to change the FONT SIZE? I want tiny, or small. And the backlight, what are the options? "normal" and then what? I want very LOW, so battery life can last longer than usual.

  • Earlier I used Nokia 101, I was great mobile, Nokia 130 mobile include a new software version n I was sucked to me, Contacts list dont have multiphone book feature, Then user hv to copy all the sim contacts phone book or should hv to delete all both of sim contacts, If it is not phonebook shows both phone n sim contacts and it was jammed. :/ And when we received a txt msg it doesn't shows the contacts, becoz normaly txt msgs are received with all numbers including country code, but normally we saved our local contacts with country code,! therefore all the uses are confused when received a txt msg.! :( As I feel all the Nokia 130 uses r facing to above problem, Post ur feedback's also, I hope nokia will give a solution to above problem with their next software update.... !!

Keypad: Plastic buttons, slightly hard to press.

  • Radio reception is very good. I live 60 km from FM stations. Only my car radio could capture them, none of the Nokia phones or Xperia U could. This one captured 3 of them.

  • Every smartphone owner should have this one as a backup. Bought this for Rs. 1650/- from a local store. Wanted to buy the red one, but it is in fact flourescent orange, looked ugly. Bought the black one instead. This basically a phone, everything else on this should be considered as bonus. Pros: -Very light phone and micro USB charger. -Uses common sim (called mini sim, full size sim has the size of a credit card). -Unlike other basic Nokia phones, this one is snappy, no lags. -Ringtone is super loud. -Nice form factor. Held in hand like a baby squirrel. -Can be thrown at stray dogs as self defence with the back cover still remaining intact unlike other Nokia phones, but continue functioning like other Nokia phones. Cons: (All minor) -Torch LED oddly placed, not at the head as used to be earlier. Positioned like an LED flash now. -No way to see images in the memory card, only plays vedios and music. -Stop button response too fast for shutdown. -Stop button gives a dialogue before shutting down. -Can not change font size. -Only 500 contacts in phone and may be 200(?) more in sim. -Might break the nail removing back cover.

  • Nokia 130 Dual Sim is Very Nice,Attractive Features.

  • When will be this phone available on Philippines.

  • Unfortunately, the Nokia 130 is restricted to only three inbuilt wallpapers. There is no option to add more wallpapers, especially since there is no photo gallery or photo viewer.

  • does it tell time in voice when we press * button like old nokia phones.....?

  • Does it support wallpapers? Both portrait and landscape ones.

  • There is no voice leakage problem on the Nokia 130.

  • "SMS Threaded view" Is that true? please tell me. On Nokia site "Messaging Features:___" no info there.

  • Voice lik prob wid 130? I min earpi & ringer spikr, r seprt or only 1 spik?

  • Microsoft confirmed that it will continue using the Nokia name for its entry level devices such as the Nokia 130, the first basic phone that Microsoft introduced since the acquisition.

  • Neither. My Nokia 130 has neither voice nor call recording facility. Thanks

  • is there voice recording feature in this mobile ? not call recording, can any one tell me ?

  • is it having voice recording facility not call recording.....? can any one tell me

  • Normal headset or using a speaker of this phone are loud and good. Radio is good too. Mine, I am using a beats earphone, so I'm enjoying it much better than a normal earphone eheh (just sayin' only).

  • No Internet connectivity (No browser, No GPRS/EDGE). No JAVA. Nokia 130, OS: Series 30+ Not Series 30 (theres a little difference on that, "30+" means 1 level higher than series 30). MAYBE if Nokia update this Nokia 130 in year 2015, they will put a Browser, maybe? But I don't think they will. 'Cause Nokia 130 has 4mb RAM only. If you really want a Internet Connectivity on a cheap phone like this, Buy a Nokia that has OS: Series 40, Like Nokia 112 or 208 and so on.

  • yes i think there is not camera available what about s0und quality

  • How about mp3 player sound quality using hedset? And how about radio sound quality?

  • It is a Nokia S30 series phone, hence, it will NOT have any internet services. Such phones are not meant for people who want internet facilities.

  • this is cheap and best mobile who was use net less than talking.

  • I also faced the same . .

  • I bought a Nokia 130 Dual sim phone 2 days ago. Is there anyone using internet by using Nokia 130 Dual sim phone?? Can anyone tell me , can i use SNS applications in this phone?? please help me mydear all

  • is is not having camera

  • Since you like copying other user reviews of the Nokia 130, allow me to copy one such review of the Nokia 130 (single SIM) from gsmarena. It appears though the Nokia 130 may have its limitations, there are people who like the phone very much. ---------- Dabbu: It is meant to be backup phone and you wont get anything better than this. This is the smallest basic phone(considering good companies only) and build quality is just awesome. It is very light (or may be i feel light because of my bulky smart phone) and I find the phone very sexy to use :) It has the old snake game and I love it. Typing is far better than previous nokia basic phones. This is the fist basic phone produced under Microsoft and improvement is quite visible. The call quality is also great and there is no voice leak issue as mentioned by previous immature users. The phone is quite fast to use except when moving from one SMS to another. Contrary to what a few of the reviewers told you can delete SMS as you wish means all at a time, selective SMS deletes etc. If you are really looking for a basic phone then it will be a crime to go to any other phone. i m loving this phone :) -----------

  • a cheap phone for those who love to talk more than using internet...go get it bt it looks cheap too

  • good

  • No Internet connectivity (No browser, No GPRS/EDGE). No JAVA.

  • Good cell phone, not bad at all, but i couldn't find wap browser in this cell phone

  • @misquitas hahahah! If I against the rules here, they will not accept my comments. Bye bye misq, feeling smart hahah! feeling engineer! :p @Jahardukh look at those names "Anonymous" misquitas talking to his self hahahah!

  • My first day with Nokia 130. First impressions: 1. Its way better than my Nokia 105 (better spekars, no leaking voice problem) 2. Keypad is very comfortable. 3. Case is dificult to remove. 4. I can't play videos so far, I've tried to covert some samples into mpeg 4 or 3gp and so far it doesn't wokrs. But still it's a great device. It's like most advanced and cheapest mp3 player on the world. And I can charge it by connecting to my computer. In my opinion it's a great choice...

  • hot of and my wife have this mobile

  • Definitely! Will do... Thanks again for your unbiased review!

  • All the best in your purchase. If you DO like the Nokia 130 and if you DO buy it, please let us know. Thanks.

  • I agree with you. Jamescz seems to have this one-point agenda that Nokia 107/108 is necessarily a better phone than the Nokia 130, even though he has not owned one Nokia 130. I reckon that he has not tried one either. So desperate is he/she that to prove his/her point that he/she is now borrowing someone else's review of the phone. I HAVE the phone and I AM using it. SO, I think I would have better experience than him in using this phone. As said earlier, it conforms to my needs and hence, I is is great phone. If my needs were different, I would have considered the Nokia 105/107/108. Does the Nokia 130 have its limitation? Of course it does. But you need to know if those limitations hinder the experience of the phone or not. If they do, the Nokia 130 is NOT for you. Regards.

  • Its ultimate. Long Battery Life plus clear voice quality. Valuable.

  • Hi again, My humble suggestion, please do not feed the troll... this guy is now apparently trying to bash this page with different IDs [hint: he's leaving 'specific' signatures...]

  • @misquitas This man made me laugh all the time hahaha! but I'm tired. by the way misq, Jahardukh indicate on his review "If you guys wanna buy a basic phone as backup or primary, check first if it's fully pack of all you need or wants." And still Nokia 107/108 much better than nokia 130. Lastly, I'm ignoring your next reply 'cause I'm tired of your nonsense cross comments on me. I better comment/reply of what others need info. Oh, lastly misq, thanks 'cause you really really made me laugh every time you comment hahahah! thanks. It was so fun! hahaha! @Jahardukh I will be borrowing your review if you don't mind.

  • Hi, That seems satisfactory enough... @[trying it out before purchase] This is a very good idea, I'll try to use it before buying it. Many thanks again...

  • I have used quite a few phones with numeric keypads in the past. I quite like this keypad as it gives a reassuring click when depressing the keypad. On the other hand, many other keypads are too soft and you never know whether the alphabet/number/character is entered or not. I prefer a firm click keypad rather than a soft and imprecise keypad. The centre/main keypad may seem small, but it is not difficult to operate it. Composing test should be quite easy. I have typed a few messages on the Nokia 130 and it was very comfortable. If basic texting is your requirement, the Nokia 130 should do just fine. But if possible, do see it and try it out at a local shop before buying it, to confirm that it suits your requirements.

  • Hi again, My requirements are very similar to yours, except I would expect to do a lot of sms with my new phone... Reading different opinions, I see it uses plastic keypads that are little hard to press... (i.e. bit hard keypad)? Is composing sms using this phone easy or hard? (again, I keep my requirements in front, i.e. I'll use this phone primarily for composing all sms/calls). Thanks again for your patience...

  • @jamescz no problem. Yeah my bad, I'll do that next time thanks. @Michellene no problem.

  • As I said earlier, it all depends on your priorities for a phone. Given your requirements, the Nokia 107 would be a better option. As far as I am concerned, I wanted a cheap Nokia phone that would have microUSB charging capability and double up as a pen drive for emergency use. When I went to inspect the Nokia 105, 107/108 at a local store, all these three phones were immediately ruled out, because of my requirements. Regarding the dust, I will use a phone pouch to prevent scratches and hence, the possibility of dust entering the phone is minimized. Regards.

  • @misquitas my hearing volume is at max. @Jahardukh Thanks Jahardukh, I'll try your advice.

  • Thanks. Next time review specification first before buying a phone. Anyway I copied your post so others can see your opinion and review.

  • @Vicky No use for Images because it doesn't have a file explorer, Photo viewer/Gallery (No support for any JPEG or Other Picture file formats). @Michellene Increase the hearing volume. Mine was fair enough to hear voice on the line, when on the road. Try use earphone if you still can't hear voices or loud speaker it, if you like. @jamescz I think I would agree on you regarding on phone quality. I visit nokia website I saw there Nokia 107 keypad was dust proof. Meaning no dust can go inside the phone, that so helpful. Mine was nokia 130 a different style on keypad, a plastic keypad. It has little tiny space on the keypad button. Dust can easy go through my phone by that tiny space. Nokia 107 and 130 they have a little bit diff. on specs, but on overall build quality I think you were right. Nokia 107 can last longer a year than my 130. I'm little bit disappointed, :( but it's fine though.

  • Bought it a month ago. @local Nokia store in my country. CONS: NO use for Images because it doesn't have a Photo viewer/Gallery (No support for any JPEG or Other Picture file formats). Bluetooth: Limited use only to send, recieve Mp3. No Internet connectivity, No browser, No GPRS/EDGE. No JAVA. Not threaded sms view. Keypad: Solid plastic buttons, hard to press. PROS: (USB Charging, Transferring Data by USB Cable, SD Card up to 32GB, Radio, Mp3, Bluetooth. All Check) Design: Good build quality. Battery: Superb, can last for 2-3 days. Mp3 player: Can play in background. Keypad: Responsive. Speaker and Voice call: High/Good/Clear Quality. No voice leakage. It's good phone 8/10. I buy this phone because I lost my backup phone (Samsung E1282t) and thought it's good than my E1282t. But now, I regret it. Samsung e1282t, e2202 is good than this 130. It's cheap & basic phone too, but it have a fully packed features (gprs/edge, browser) on basic phones than 130. If you guys wanna buy a basic phone as backup or primary, check first if it's fully pack of all you need or wants.

  • You cannot view photos on the Nokia 130 as it does not have a photo viewer or gallery option. Thanks.

  • Is there anyone tell that whether we can view the pictures in Nokia 130 and please tell me how. because it shows in this site photo viewer function but i didn't found any such option to view the pics that i transferred from other cell phones

  • Have you tried increasing the volume during a conversation? I have put my volume on full and the conversation is very audible.

  • It happen to lag sometimes when I'm texting while listening to music. And I can't hear voice clearly, while I'm on the road. Low voice quality.

  • It depends what are your priorities for a phone. For me, the Nokia 130 is great. For you, the Nokia 107/108 is perfect. Is there anything wrong in liking two different phones? You seem to be hell bent on dismissing the Nokia 130.

  • You still haven't answered me if you own a Nokia 130 or not. I still think you do not own a Nokia 130. Whether or not I am busy in my life should not be your concern. As long as I am engaged in a meaningful discussion here on gsmarena, you are welcome to agree or disagree with my comments. And if you wish to continue posting on this forum, could you please improve on your English? Sometimes, it is difficult to understand what you are trying to communicate. For your information, here are some the posting rules on gsmarena, which you could be violating: English only Please no foul language, be polite and use common sense No bashing - deliberately and repeatedly bashing the same brand No trolling - deliberately antagonizing other brand/model users Read before you post.

  • Good point... Just my 2 cents more: *please do not feed the troll*

  • "I speak for myself and NOT on behalf of others like you do" oh come on misquitas, haha! why you mad? "astrologer or a prophet?" are you okay misquitas? "You'll see the difference after a year, because a basic phone that has NO RAM can't perform well after a year/s." I say that because based on my experience, and what others experienced too. Try read the reviews on nokia site reviews, other site brands, or even here @gsm, you'll see what they exp. after using a BASIC Phone that has NO RAM, AFTER a year/s or USED. RAM and Good QUALITY is Important, what I mean in quality, is that can perform better or still good after a year of use. I don't think you have a basic phone that can last 2-4 years that's why your mad hahaha etc. ow by the way, I saw all your comments. And based of what I see, is just like, your not busy on your life. Your acting like a admin here too, because your too active answering all comments of what others comments. Just accept the fact, that Nokia 107/108 far better than Nokia 130, that's all, don't be mad haha.

  • Well am an engineer. No computer related device work without RAM. If ur phn dnt av ram or ur system it wilnt start at all.So my bro all phn has ram d higher d ram d faster d opertn of d phn.okay dnt say wat u dnt no

  • Forget about owning a Nokia 130, have you even used a Nokia 130? The keys are NOT hard, as you claim and I find them just nice for my usage. For my usage, the ability to charge via USB and the ability to transfer data to and from the Nokia 130 is a big plus. With this feature, the Nokia 130 doubles up as a convenient pen drive to me. Can the Nokia 107/108 do that with similar ease? I hope so. Whether a phone can work just as smoothly/fluidly after a year will depend on various parameters, including the amount of contacts/SMS messages and other data stored in the phone. I dont expect my phone to lag after a year, simply because I will have the bare minimum data stored in my Nokia 130. Whether or not the Nokia 107/108 rocks in comparison to my Nokia 130 is something that I cannot comment on, as I have not used a Nokia 107/108 to make the comparison. Regards. ---------------------- jamescz wrote: "As I said too, you'll see the difference after a year, because a Basic Phone that has NO RAM can't perform well AFTER a year/s of used (like Nokia or other brands Basic Phones that has NO RAM in this Past few years 2000, even year 2012-2013). • I don't think you own a Nokia 130, so please DO NOT make sweeping statements regarding the performance of a Nokia 130. I speak for myself and NOT on behalf of others like you do. For me, the Nokia 130 is a perfect phone, better than a Nokia 107/108. How can you assume that the Nokia 130 will NOT perform well after a year? Are you an astrologer or a prophet? Phones are designed for a particular purpose and as long as the purpose is served within the defined parameters, the phone should/will work fine. Just because a Nokia 107/108 has some RAM, it does not necessarily imply that the phone will be lightning fast. Regarding the performance of the phone, I can only get back to you after a year. But with a phone costing barely Rs 1750 ($30)), I would be happy if it does last me a year. By then, I would have got my money's worth. Regards. _____________ jamescz wrote: As I saying, RAM is important. Nokia 107/108 far better than 130 because of RAM. Yeah, that's the way you use your 130, I mean you needn't store many SMS or 50+ contacts on your 130. • Well, I have stored 30 contacts so far and there is no lag whatsoever. The Nokia 130 is designed to accept 500 contacts, but I have no intention to exceed 50 contacts. As such, I dont expect any lag on my Nokia 130. I have not typed long SMS messages as yet, but as I said earlier, I dont intend to have many SMS messages on my phone and hence, I dont expect much lag either. When connecting to the USB cable to copy files to and from the Nokia 130, please note the following: 1. As soon as you connect the phone to the PC, you will get an option, "USB charging only" or "data storage". Use the "data storage" option and your phone is now visible on your PC. At the same time, you will get a message on your phone which says that the phone is now connected to the PC. Do NOT press "DONE", else the phone will get disconnected from the PC. Press "DONE" only when you are finished with your work and you want to disconnect your phone from the PC. Regards.

  • his review is about lumia 730 and he goofed it up with 130

  • I have reasons to believe this guy 'jamescz' is a troll... That being said, can you kindly comment whether there is lag while composing long sms, or quickly browsing through all contacts? I want to get 130 but just want to be clear on this first. Many thanks...

  • haha! That's not advance level. Nokia 225/301 better than that (review them again on Nokia site). And they not mentioned RAM, because they really don't have.

  • Since you have read the Nokia 130 user manual before I did, may I also assume that you bought a Nokia 130 before I did? 1. There is NOTHING in my Nokia 130 user manual that states that USB charging is NOT recommended. On the contrary, my Nokia 130 manual clearly states "You CAN use USB charging". I am NOT bothered about some other user manual regarding some other Nokia Phone. That said, did I even claim that I will ONLY be using USB charging for my Nokia 130? I will use this feature only when I do not have access to a normal Nokia charger. What IS important (to me) is that this emergency feature is not available in the Nokia 107/108. With thin pin Nokia chargers becoming scarce nowadays, a Nokia 130 is more likely to have charge than a Nokia 107/108, if a thin pin charge is not available to charge a Nokia 107/108. 2. Your claim "Your 130 will be lag due to lack of RAM" misses the point I was trying to make. I use this phone as a secondary/backup phone which will have about 20-30 of my most important phone contacts. Besides, my SMS folders and call logs will be cleaned/deleted every month or so. Hence, where will there be any lag? If you DO NOT own a Nokia 130, I do not wish to continue debating with a person, who is commenting on the Nokia 130 from mere speculation. Thanks. ++++++++++ YOU SAID: Dude, I already read that before you did. And still Charging PERMANENTLY through laptop/pc via USB Cable is not recommended (You can find that too in any user manual of Nokia or any brand). It's an Option only because of this: "You can use USB charging WHEN a wall outlet is not available. DATA can be transferred WHILE charging the device. The efficiency of USB charging power varies significantly, and it may take a Long Time for charging to start and the device to start functioning." Yeah, you can charge because your transferring data. But when you are done? it's better/recommended to charge on outlet, Not on pc/laptop (Else, if you wanna ruin your cp). Because it's faster on the Outlet and SAFER than via USB Cable always. When it comes to RAM still, you'll see after a year. Your 130 will be lag due to lack of RAM (RAM is important although it's basic phone. I KNOW it's basic man, but still; my point is 107/108 Have RAM, 130 Doesn't), than Nokia 107 and your 108 does.

  • AMOLED and camera? Do you own a Nokia 130 or a Nokia 930? I think you have either got yourself a wrong phone or you are a hoax. I HAVE a Nokia 130 and it has NONE of the two above mentioned features that you claim.

  • Noooooooooooooooooo !!!!!

  • Also, by the way, have a look at Nokia 220, which is more advance level set here: This is the official Nokia page. On this page you can see, under 'Memory' category, no 'RAM' is mentioned. Just because it is not mentioned does not mean it does not exist. Apply the same to 130...

  • @Charging: All modern phones have charging option through USB-even 'if' it is a drawback, all modern phones are to be blamed, not just 130. @RAM: 1) You could have a point there. But just like me, I reckon you have not used 130 personally (or of a friend's), so we are both in same court - so only a person how has used both 108 and 130 can advice better.

  • Dude, I already read that before you did. And still Charging PERMANENTLY through laptop/pc via USB Cable is not recommended (You can find that too in any user manual of Nokia or any brand). • can any one tell how much numbers can be stored in a single name in contacts

  • Thanks for all the insight. I have personally used Nokia 108; one thing i remember-though it is basic set, yet if you are scrolling through all your contact list (like press and hold the 'down' button on mobile), it does flicker from time to time, but never shows any lags (like in older sets like Nokia 1616 which I have also used). So the reason to say all above: if you do the same to Nokia 130, does it lag? If it does not lag, then seriously, having or not having 4MB Ram does not make any difference to me. Kindly provide more insight.. Thanks

  • It depends what is your expectation of a basic phone. For me, the capability to charge via a microUSB charge is important as I don't want to roam with a Nokia (small pin) charger and a microUSB charger for my phones. One charger should be in a position to charge all my phones. Regarding the USB charging facility, dude, please refer to the OFFICIAL Nokia 130 user manual (and not some dubious websites). The OFFICIAL Nokia 130 user manual states as follows: "Tip: You can use USB charging when a wall outlet is not available. Data can be transferred while charging the device. The efficiency of USB charging power varies significantly, and it may take a long time for charging to start and the device to start functioning." Regarding the RAM (or lack of it), it makes little difference to me, as long as it functions well enough for my requirements. For me, the Nokia 130 is clearly a better option than the Nokia 107/108 for quite a few reasons. Use the "Comparison" facility of this website to compare the Nokia 130 with the Nokia 107/108.

  • Yes, it does. Thanks

  • I can't connect with my Volvo XC60 via bluetooth.

  • Alongside USB charging, does it also support file transfer via USB cable?

  • I know it's just a basic phone. But my point is, 107/108 can perform better than 130. Simply because they have RAM. And I know 107/108 still uses Pin charger, but no problem w/ that. By the way dude, it is not recommended to CHARGE Any Phone on Laptop/PC through USB Cable. Why? hahah! ask Nokia or Google.

  • Also, in comparison with 107/108, the Nokia 130 has one major advantage. I charges via microUSB cable. The Nokia 107/108 still uses the old Nokia pin charger. Hence, the Nokia 130 can charge through a normal microUSB charger or even via the computer USB port. The specifications information by gsmarena regarding the USB charging facility for the Nokia 107 is wrong. It uses the small Nokia pin charger.

  • This doesn't have threaded view in messages, was disappointed. Otherwise, its a good phone..

  • Kindly note that this is NOT a smartphone, but a bare basic mobile phone. As long as it can store a decent number of text messages (say 100-200) and does the basic tasks, does it really make a difference if the Nokia 130 has RAM or not? Please do not assume that the phone will lag just because it has no RAM/ROM. This phone is programmed to do the bare minimum tasks. If you have a problem with that, please consider some other phone. I have been using this phone for about a week and it is a great second/backup phone. My main phone is the Lumia 1320.

  • Yes, I think you can.

  • Has Nokia/Microsoft died??? no more phones so slow, samsung push out like babies...Nokia release 1 phone every 3month.Not much Variety really sad..what happen

  • This has NO RAM, Go to your Nokia Website! and nah.. I am sure! 'cause i watch VIDEO REVIEWS ON YOUTUBE. You better watch too. you'll see!

  • Such basic sets have hardly usable 4MB ram, so it is not a surprise if it is not mentioned. >>Plastic keypad? are you sure it has plastic, it looks a lot like rubber keypad.

  • No ROM & RAM. Therefore this Nokia 130 is lag, when you reach maximum text messages in inbox/outbox/sent items etc. And I don't think that Plastic keypad can last 1-2 years. Nokia 107/108 has RAM and Tough keypad.

  • is it able to set song as alarm tone or ringtone???

  • can I make my favorite (any) song as ringtone?? does it support this feature or not?? Thanks

  • why??

  • how many SMS text message we can storage in this phone?

  • Put off the notification then messages or logs can't be read

  • Thanks. It is Day 2 and the Nokia 130 still has nearly full battery life. So, it is going strong. With no wifi or 2G/3G and no need for apps to be constantly updated, standby time is awesome. The body shell creeks a bit when pressed, but nothing to worry about. I would have preferred if there had been a facility to change wallpapers or the possibility of changing the right key (it only shows the "music" option).

  • NO,...you are not a dumb...good job done. Basic phone is must. You can't rely on smartphones' battery in case of urgent need.

  • The phone is really good for the price. Excellent battery life, fairly loud and clear voice, loudspeaker is also quite loud and clear. As with Nokia Series 30 phones, this phone does not have GPRS/EDGE, wifi. The bluetooth is only to send and receive files (but you can only view video files from the phone as there is no photo viewer) and not for headset use.

  • how is the mobile?whether speaker sounds are good,is it gprs enabled?

  • Please don't expect smartphone features in the most basic phone. This is a Nokia 130, not Nokia Lumia 930.

  • In the age of smartphones, it seems dumb to have, well, a dumb phone. Or is it? I recently bought the latest Nokia 130, which is microscopic in comparison to my large 6" Nokia 1320. The Nokia 130 really looks nice in flesh and the black keys stand out from the fluorescent red body. A phone with no touch screen, no internet (no WhatsApp, skpe, viber either), no wifi, no camera (back or front), no photo viewer, and errrrr, ummmm, a measly 1.8 inch screen! What was I thinking? Was I dumb? Consider my arguments in favour of a basic phone. For a dual SIM phone priced at Rs 1750, it is a perfect secondary/backup phone. And with a great battery and standby (26-day standby) life, the Nokia 130 will be that S.O.S (swiss knife) phone which will last far, far longer than any windows, android, iphone or blackberry, as these smartphones would, most likely, go into deep slumber within a day or two of usage. Now, many may consider a Nokia 130 a useless phone with no features. But, it does have the basic facilities. Ten of them to be precise: 1. Calls 2. Text messages 3. Radio 4. MP3 player 5. USB Drive (32GB micro SD card) 6. Alarm clock 7. Calculator 8. Calendar 9. Reminder 10. Flashlight With the bare essentials covered in Rs 1750, what more could I want in a backup phone which accepts 2 SIM cards? What I like about the Nokia 130 is that it has bluetooth (to send and receive music files) and charges from a normal micro usb charger, as opposed to the old thin Nokia pin charger. So, one charger is compatible for all our three Nokia phones. Besides, it can take up to 32GB microSD cards and can double up as a USB drive, if connected to a PC. My primary phone is the mega Nokia 1320, but I am extremely pleased to have a simple, basic, effective and useful secondary phone for any or all of the 10 abovementioned basic/essential requirements. Now, am I still dumb? You figure out. Regards.

  • gprs available?

  • Can stored 1,000 messages in Inbox? Threaded sms view? and is it true that, Messages can read lock screen, although security code was ON? anyone who bought this phone, please answer it. thanks.

  • Purchased Yesterday.. Thanks

  • Can you please explain that in detail. Do you mean messages can be read when the keypad is locked OR even when the phone is locked by a security pin code?

  • R U Nuts??? Have Checked the Specification??

  • What is the message capacity of this model and how is the reception quality and far piece volume?

  • Nokia 130 is not pairing with either jbl micro wireless spkr or with iPad 1 a great disappointment to me

  • no forward in music play but u can do in video player

  • no internet connectivity

  • cant be changed

  • lush handset, great sound experience, easy to use, long lasting battery, msg typing fast everybody go for it

  • The Biggest drawback of this phone when you locked your phone you can still read your message.

  • just turn the notifications off from the display settings

  • not

  • Can we send a sms more than one person at same time, if yes let me know maximum limit recipients

  • Can we send a sms more than one person in same time, if yes let me know maximum limit of recipients

  • No its for phone call sms song better for kids to carry it

  • As far as I recall, NO Nokia series 30 phone ever had gprs/net capability. Net features were available only on series 40/60 phones. That said, please realize that this phone is NOT for those who want 1000+ features in a phone which costs almost nothing. This phone is excellent as a second/backup phone with bare minimum features and excellent battery life, especially when a smartphone battery runs out.

  • The main drawback of this set is that anybody can read your massages without applying the security code.. and anyone can seen your massages and reply your massage in-spite of your security code.

  • I bought it and went for outing and it last spoke long and I was having no fear of drained out. Very nice phone. Buy it if you want to use for calls, music. No gprs.

  • Two very important features missing voice recorder & a photo viewer/file browser which are commonly found in other lower priced models. No need for a video player on such a small screen but given anyways.

  • i bought this phone, and it doesn't support GPRS. Correct it Admin. Otherwise its a nice phone for call and sms. With light weight :)

  • nop...this phone doesn't support any data browsing facility..neither edge nor gprs & so not mms also...confirmed.

  • Hey what about Internet. Do 130 support Edge. Some websites says it has and others no. No information in GSMArena. Do anyone know about its internet connectivity.

  • in nokia 107, there is no separate speaker on the back side. ear piece and back speaker are the same. so, sound leakage is the main problem. what about this phone?

  • Few hours back i got this and this is a very impressive phone. There is no voice leakage in this and even this is very light weight and handy. Main thing missing is a File Browser to see MMC content. Overall, best normal phone and yes this do not support 3rd party apps installation.

  • Message memory is same as other nokia basic mobiles.....!!!

  • please tell me how much msg storage ?????

  • excellent sound output excellent shape + light weight first of it's kind usb charging very impressive battery life very smooth avi vİdeo player nb: pls there's no İnternet connection with this device

  • You have to find a fault somehow and malign a stuff...you people are born cynics.

  • Excellent basic phone. Overall very well built quality. Every thing works as it's suppose to. I've come back to use a basic phone after quite a long time & i'm very pleased that I haven't made the wrong choice in selecting one. I'll give it a 10/10 for it's value for money. As per specs it takes normal size dual sims you can activate & deactivate them with just a press of a button. I haven't have any call quality issues with my phone although the network I use in my country is not so good in terms of signal strength. Messege typing is a fun on this phone, I love it, the keypad is very soft & responsive the buttons are properly spaced so that you don't accidently press the wrong one. It has a tiny LED light & a speaker on the back don't expect much from both they are very basic. It does come with a music & a video player builtin. The only thing missing is a photo viewer although it comes preloaded with 3 wallpapers which you can view on its screen but no support for any JPEG or other picture file formats. It also has bluetooth & a micro Usb port which is used for charging & connecting the phone to the computer.

  • Was eagerly waitin for it.. finally placed the order on snapdeal(India).. it's available on snapdeal in 3 colors.. ordered black.. according to me worth buying for basic use.. with options like Bluetooth, music player, its the best basic phone available in market(one without camera). ll be posting my review once i get my hands on it.

  • I don't think this mobile can record calls, because it don't have voice recorder function, it cannot record any voices, so how can it record calls ? because it don't have voice recorder ?

  • A good qualitative flip-phone would have been nice from Nokia for below INR 5000, before they go all out together.

  • No call recorder No voice leakage No internet Center handle button is small hardly to push Message memory is same as normal nokia basic mobiles Light weight Good battery life Worth buying Go for it.

  • is it whats app supportable?

  • The demand for such phones will never diminish...ask the person who does more calls in a day...only he will tell the utility of this phone. Try to call continuously for 30 min with a 5 inch smartphone then only u will realise the need of such phones.

  • This is basic phone to make life easy. I will buy this phone.

  • The battery will last up to 36 days after fully charged and it is left idle without sim card.

  • Features is good ..But 1 @ Camera is missing . Now a days Camera phone s most imp... good feature phone for browsing...

  • when will this phone get kitkat 4.4 ??

  • Seems you don't get it, this is a $25 phone without all the hassle of the smartphones, just for calls and text...

  • Nokia is inventing backwards. I think they are not business minded. And why nokia is still releasing phones? I thought it was sold to microsoft.

  • u want a phone with 5' screen and also keypad? Really? Just look at the price bro..

  • Its $25 in the US but for other places I don't know

  • just mobile plus dual sim.. well thought..

  • how much is teh price ?

  • Nice one there.

  • This phone is not the type of basic phone that people need! Nokia 1520 is the King of all cell phones like some old Nokias used to be. This Nokia 130 phone is a joke and is horrible like the worst Nokia phones that used to be a while a go. Basic phone must have: -4.0 or 5.0 screen size -Large physical keypad -sliding physical qwerty keyboard for easy texting This phone has non of the above! This phone looks like a joke!

  • i looking for this type of model having bluetooth for using in where camera not allowed i am eagerly waiting for it

  • They are still not thinking about customer demand or not working on customer feedback, cell should have an unlimited message storage capacity as well.. its mandatory now.

  • compared to the Nokia 112 that has also Dual-Sim: + has a flashlight + has a microUSB slot for charging + Bluetooth 3.0 instead of 2.1 - less battery, so less standby time (Nokia 130: 1020 mAh | Nokia 112: 1400 mAh - no camera (even not a poor one) - radio without RDS

  • Nokia still know it's customer. We are looking for a device like it. Everybody have a smartphone in their pocket but they still want device like it for general use.

  • Really Good phone in good price...when will released in Pakistan...

  • The specs are really good , so that any person can use this phone without the help of others
