Can this phone be used now with a telecom xt sim card? My other phone broke and i was going to use this one but just put my sim card in, but it won't show up with any service? Is there a way to select a current service with telecom or something? If any of that made sense :/

I am still using this phone, which i bought in 2003. It has been 7 years, and the phone is still working great! No problems what so ever. I have to say, its a fantastic phone. Its durable. I have dropped it many many times, and it is still working. The S40 OS is also fast. And, the call quality is very good.

The first color LCD phone. I had it ahead of the official launch! One girl got crazy about me because of this phone. While riding my motorbike, the phone fell twice from my pocket at about 70 km/h the first time, and 35km/h the second time. Continued to work. Died unexpectedly after 6 years of service. The LCD colors at the end were washed out.

Just to add to the many people who have made this point before me: this is a fabulous phone with an amazing lifetime. I've had it over 7-8 years now (can't remember exactly when I got it so it could be even older) and it has never failed me. Sure it's a little scratched and the outer paint has worn off around the edges, but it's still a funky looking phone. My friends just can't get over how this phone has lasted as all of their ones fail on them year after year! Such a shame this has been discontinued!

i had this phone for 5 years and it has 0 (zero) problems. it is small but not to small. it looks great even for today standards. quality of the plastic is excellent. it fell many times on many hard surfaces with no problem for the phone. battery life is excellent too. today i have it stored for a backup of my n95 8gb

This is a ugly phone from Nokia. The key board is really ugly!Mybe the Nokias designer wont to create one original form to fit, but in my opinion this is not works.The other technical data i have not a skill.Im sure that is a good mobile phone, just quite the another Nokia models.

i still use it,and it's almost as new with only 99 hours talktime in the lifetimer(the one on the code)very good,sound,signal reception,super design,very durable,work perfectly...just amazing,all these new phones are just SH** ... i had a lot of them,but the old ones are the best,after all,for what i need a new one?for give/recieve phone calls and sms?with an old one i can do this AS SIMPLE AS IT CAN BE.

missing the 7210

how i miss this phone. we went island hopping in '02, dropped it in the water near the beach one time, scooped it up, guess what? it still worked fine after drying it. was in the middle of a storm last '04, the got wet in my shirt pocket, still working fine after drying it. dropped it countless times, just had nicks and scratches, still functioned well. i lost it in around '06 or '07, our german shepherd bit it and ran away, when the dog came back the phone was no longer with it. how i wish current nokias are as durable! i dropped my n95 as i alighted from my suv, it broke into several pieces.

anyone that claims this phone to not be a good performer all around is completely right...this phone is a great performer! I normally go through 2-3 phones a year, and not cheap ones either, but this one, since its purchase in 2002 has stood the test of time. Water is certain death to Nokia phones, and anyone thats ever took their nokia for a swim knows that, but not this one, mine went swimming 3 times, and went for more than a handful of showers, and still lives. been run over by cars at low and high speeds, and dropped countless times on hard surfaces, and the phone still performs as it did out of the box. And as for the keypad not holding up to the riggers of texting, I text all day long, and the buttons still make a very pronounced clicking noise when pressed, very durable. if you are having issues with keypads, don't press the buttons so hard and they won't go bad on you, they never changed the manufacturing technique of the buttons any since this phone, they are no more durable now than they were back in 2002. I still have, and still use my 7210 due to its very compact size and extreme durability but as of 2007 have moved over to a Nokia N95-8GB as my main phone, will see how this little gem performs, and so far, swims, showers and drops aside, smokes every other phone on the planet in features and usabiity HANDS DOWN! Apple iPhones don't have a thing on a N95!!!

i hv been using this phone since it launched. and now it's 2008 it served me rally long n reliable. of coz comparing to the "new " phones now it has less features but i would high recommand it to ppl who just wan the basics.up til today. i'm still using everything as i got it the first day ( includes battery, covers and etc) and never had to repiar anything.. just some s/ware upgrades only

Awesome phone got one in 2003... got 2 that year in fact the first got stolen :( ... so the 2nd one has like 5yrs now, only thing that works lame after all these years is the battery like 1-2days.. 3 if I don't have calls, need to get a new one and just found the right shop. About covers... I like the orange ones, hard to find one these days around here at least. The keypads last enough, depend on how much u txt message :) After a 5yrs usage I must say I'm impressed, it keeps going and going even tho it had lots of drops, throws etc... I admit I kinda like new stuff like mp3, mp4, document viewer options, but I luv my 7210 been with me in good and bad times lol. I just scooped for some prices the other days for a phone I like... way too much considering its purpose so I'll stick with this one for some more time.

When they first started to advertise this phone, me and one of my friends always used to talk about it, like the keypad is like an alien design and it's a colour screen and what not! Now I look back and think, eughh what a cheap ugly looking phone. The reason for that comment is because we have upgraded technology, we have TV in phones and everything else!

I'd still be using this if it hadn't died last year. Had one for about 2 years - and it was quite second hand when I got hold of it. Tricky to get used to after my easy 3330, but a nice phone once I did get used to it. Keypads tended to wear out very quickly (I am a txt freak). First phone I had that would work in the USA which is good as I travel quite a lot.

This phone had fall down out of my hand to the floor cement more than 20x and yet did not got damage but only the case it replaceable. and one time I forgot my phone to take out of my short pants when I dive on the swimming pool and still working, can you believe that after all of this happenings. i got a nokia 7210 on a plan when it was first released in australia. i have purchased a few phones since then, but keep going back to the good ol 7210. it's great, terrific sound and excellent picture quality. i'm thinking of getting a new nokia phone so i can have a camera(my nokia 7210 came with a detachable camera..but i keep losing the camera!), but will probably end up using the 7210 again. Love it!

When I was a wee lad (16 years old, 20 now!)This phone's keypad had really attracted me, I really wanted to know what then menu looked like, I really loved it. When I went to mosque, this guy had it on him and I really wanted to use it, I was dying to hold it! The polyphonics were outstanding! Then I had a 3310, which was also good. Then I got the N70 in my mid 19 and still have it in my early 20's!

this phone has served me well. it does its purpose of making voice calls and sending sms. it can store a lot of data on your phonebook too. it maybe an old model but the features are great and it gets by with out any troubles at all.

This phone is really great, at first i didn't very much like it but right now i think it's one of the coolest designs Nokia has ever made. Size and weight are what they should be for a Mobile Phone. Simply GREAT, wish Nokia could pay a little more attention to design, i currently want to change my phone but i don't seem to find a Nokia to suit my needs with regard to size, the phones now are too big and heavy. nice cool looking phone. got one of these. its got colour. i've got in in green and black. its got MMS. i've even managed to transfer my library of 5000 handphone/cellular phone games to it. electronic game makes are targeting every electronic device....from TVs, Sattelite decoders, ITV decoders, DVD players, VCD players, interactive multiplayers, DVRs etc...anything thats more powerful than your toaster. they are going strong targetting handphones and portable video games like the Nokia N-Gage. i owned this phone for 2 years before i sold it for another one. i was extremely satisfied with this phone. excellent quality sound, excellent battery life, excellent screen. very sturdy phone too. the key-pad could take some getting used-to for newer users but i got used to it pretty soon - and i send/receive a LOT of smses. not used the FM radio much but it was pretty good at catching signal. only thing missing was a silver face-plate and bluetooth.

For people who are saying this phone isn't that great: for 2005 maybe you are right. But this phone is now 2 years old and at the time was probably the best phone you could get. I still have mine and it is still going strong, it does everything I need it to, its much faster to respond to key presses than any other phone I have used, the battery life is excellent, and so is the reception. I have not had a single problem with it the entire time I have owned it. I can't say the same about other phones I have had since. I have bought two phones (which weren't nokias) since my 7210 and have ended up selling them both. One phone i bought second hand and was the same age as my nokia, it has recently died. The other was only 2 weeks old and was already showing wear signs on the keys, sending sms would often result in an error and refuse to send, typing an sms was slow, and the charger would sometimes refuse to work! I have no idea why anyone would complain about the 7210 - sure it doesn't have all the whiz bang features, but it still does a 10/10 job at actually being a phone!

Those who think that camera is advantage in most cases are kids in other cases "not grown up adults". Want a camera buy real one. I was pondering about what to chose (7210, or 6100)for a long time, but decided to buy 7210 because of its unique disign. 6100 or 7210 are prety much the same, but I admire 7210 for it's innovativeness. Keypad is very easy to use (at least for me). The only thing that I was disappointed is that it can't upload media to other phone through IR. This is far away from being my first phone. I have been using nokia phones for a long time and I have to say it definitely is one of the best I've tried in my hand.

This phone is OK if it is your first but to be honest the features are poor. Not much memory and no camera are the main downfall to this phone. You can fit about 25 pictures on it maximum. The FM radio is the only great feature on it.

I have nokia 3510 and I wanted to exchange it for 7210 because nokia is nokia. A friend of mine has the same and I've tried it. Now I don't want that phone. Most of all it has very NOISY vibration! The display is weak(now we have 65K :)) and the buttons are very hard to press. If I compare it to Samsung x450 or x100(in Bulgaria they have similar prices with 7210) they are better. My mother has a x600 which is x100 with camera and it is a great phone. The display is amazing and it has 40poly sound:) cool ha? Conclusion:Everybody knows that nokia is nokia but if you want a gsm for 150euro(that's it in BG) you should better take x450(very elegant) or x100(with 9MB memory)

I used this phone for years. The phone is still functioning well. Everything works well except for when i try to connect the phone to the computer. It always give me problem when i try to connect it. overall its a good phone. i am now using 7250i and 7210.. i still find 7210 better.. the buttons are easier to punch esp the directonal key.

I don't understand what all the fus was about with all the people here, but despite all the negetive commennts i boght the phone, I LOVE IT! the keypad takes no more then a day to totally get used to, and the MYTH everyone said here about it being cheap plastic??? NOT TRUE, the same kind of plastic used in all original nokia covers (including 3210 and 3310), the screen is nice and sharp, and has no problems and i personly don't need blue tooth, it's small, compact, and very very light weight, the GPRS is very fast, and there's planty of room (about 750K), the rings are good quality (4 poly is not bad at all), and it's the loud'st ive ever heard a nokia before (way better then the nokia 3510i tone volume), it has a speaker built in (for handsfree) the sounds good, and the vibre is very strong (much more then the motorola timeport and nokia 33xx!) Cons (Like every phone): backlight turns off pretty fast, the clock is the screen saver (or maybe i don't know how to turn it on), and u have 2 wait until it appears, besides that EXCELENT!!!

I have this phone for couple of weeks now, it is really good (I had many phones, different make before this one) I like it's design, it only took me one day to adapt to keypad (from samsung t-100), keypad is acctualy quite ok, it looks difficult but is not (I am an SMS fanatic, I rearly use phone's main purpose :)) ) Only remark that I can give is to display, it is nice but it is not sharp and not colorfull enough (compared to my former phone, samsung t-100). My father has 6100, and the display is INDENTICAL to 7210,7250 etc. so it is probablly general problem with this nokia generation phones...sad but true. Also, not being able to send a poly ringtone over MMS or any other way is a bit anoying, besides that, phone is really ok. Display is ok during the day, comparing to other phones I've seen...

The T68i is a year older than the 7210. The T68i is the first colour headset in the 2g market. Don't try to act smart and say that the T68 was the first. Same thing. Compare the 7210 to what it is up against at it's time. In terms of technology, maybe the 7210 is better. But in terms of feature, the T68i is way better.

Bought one, sold it two days later. Java games are slow and jerky plus the screen kept flickering on and off. Nice facia but the main body is beige, which is vile, why they didnt do it black or silver i will never understand. Nice ringtones and menu. Hissing noise when talking but a nice loud speaker. It seemed to be top heavy as it always ended upside down in my pocket. Phone feels cheap and tacky, like all nokia's do. People who say this is the best phone ever are talking rubbish, it's simply a gimmicky phone which soon get's boring.

I own Nokia 7210, and I think that for this price it is very good. Only problem is memory, they should put at least 800kb, but who you can always delete something. This is not a computer so you can store all you need. Who is not very sattisfied (I am) then buy yourself 7650 or P800. One more thing I noticed are tiny lines over the screen, but you will see that if you come closer. Conclusion: Worth every cent

Its an impressive phone. Cost is a drawback, but once you get it in your hands you forget how much you payed. Stylish, great colour screen & ringtones, and the Loud-speaker does away with handsfrees. Miles ahead of my old Ericsson R320 in features and quality. Only thing it needs is some more Pictures pre-stored, and we are still waiting for that data-cable to be released. Definitely recommend it.

I just had to return my 7210 here in the UK, due to a hissing sound in the earpiece, and also wavy lines accross the screen. I thought this is supposed to be the best. its my 7th nokia phone, but why dont these guys ever test the latest products before adding the damn software. i had a SW version 3.09. Sad though, i think i will wait for a few months now till i know they've sorted out all the problems.

ive got the 7210, only eva had 1 problem with it, when u send a txt sometimes the fone resets just after it has sent, this phone is nice but not as many features as i expected, cant download any GIFF or JPEG or BMp files via infr oin the laptop tho, the JAVA is mint nice and quick WAP is good, the new POP Port system is shit coz the headfone connector moves around and makes the stereo wierd. but overall a decent phone

Had this phone for a week. 2 big complain 1. Power button - almost impossible to activate without fingernails. 2. Headset connector (aka pop-port) too bulky, gets in the way when pressing the button with my thumb and also, it comes off easily.

Recently bought a 7210 (had 6310i). I am so disappointed. Its a neat size but simply does not measure up. Screen is not as good as T68, call quality is poor and it is very tinny. There are no data cables and no software. All in all a poor second to the T68i

I'm lucky to get my hands on my own Nokia 7210. Its pretty well designed, and I liked its features so much. Nokia 7210 comes with its hands free head phones and a charger in the package. it doesn't come with any CD .. you may download the PC Suite 5.0 software from www.nokia.com.

Once again, Nokia released an inferior product with the only purpose of trying to look good and nothing else. It's color screen is nowhere compared to Samsung's T-100 (in other words, it's dull and contains shadows). It's multimedia file management is nowhere compared to Ericsson's T68 (in other words, you cannot transfer files via IR). It's keypads is 100% gaming-unfriendly (in other words, I keep pressing wrong keys during play). On top of all these, the battery and accessories are incompatible with all existing Nokia phones. The only reason I would want to get it is that I want to look different (then again, everyone will be getting his hands on it, so where art thou different?)

For those people who feel that the T68 is a better product, you are saddly mistaken. I carried the T68 for 6 mos and had to warranty the phone out 4 times within the 6 mos. I had an oppurtunity to demo the 7210 and it is by far a higher quality product than the T68. The resolution for the colored screen is twice the quality of the T68. The ringtones are polyphonic so, it sounds very similar to what you would hear if you were listening to the radio. Before anyone makes an uneducated decision or comment on this product you should do some reasearch and you will find that the 7210 is an excellent phone.

Hey, This phone is everything that you need today. People will compare it with the T68i (which only has 256 colors compared to the colossal 4096 the 7210 possesses), but nothing get's in it's way. True, there isn't bluetooth, but for the mean time bluetooth is only used for mediocre situations and is not fully abused. Nokia has two new phones, the 3510i and the 3650. Both are color screen, the 3650 is small (yet 130g) and has a cam corder. I was in Marseille today and I saw them. Of course Nokia says "Early 2003" which means "Late 2003". The 7210 was expected to come out in France this month, however as I was told it's going to come out at the end of this year :( THOSE WHO INSULT THIS PHONE DON'T HAVE ANYTHING BETTER TO DO!

Ok. This is a nice phone. but so is a T68i. Between the two, as they are in the same competition table, the Nokia is better?why its screen resoulation are brilliant, better than Nokia? May be Samsung V100 or S100 I'am not sure but that handset has 56k colour screen. plz before u try to compare iy with a Nokia 7650,the PDA phone, don't The 7650 is a PDA and competes with Ericsson 800. Lol...i've seen remotes better lookin'! I look at this piece of shit... I look at some Docomo headsets and I wonder: what's wrong with this picture? As for the T68/7210 comparisons... Ericsson is slow an fragile, 7210 is aesthetically chalenged and has no (basic, now) features like voice dialling...not to mention that I'm already afraid of it's pricing. Considering the looks of the latest Nokia phoes, maybe they should think about a joint-venture with Toys R' Us!:)))

Hey, with the MMS software upgrade which is already out now, the Ericsson T68 now has MMS, picture phonebook, dynamic memory, large space for voice recording which identical to T68i. But this 7210 doesn't have many things that T68 has, like bluetooth, picture phonebook, voice dial, voice recording..........etc. Plus, it looks very ugly!!!

Ericsson phones always have great functionality - look at T68, but dreadful usability (Look at the T9 in the T68, or the speed of the menus). Nokia may be slow to release, overpriced, and made of cheap plastic - but they work. They do what they say they do - and they do it well. And this phone says it does a lot. It'll do what it says on the tin....

This phone is good but that's because nokia is the no.1 leader. Now the market is different because there are new trends like colour displays and downloadable games. This makes is reliable for companys who play a little role in the gsm phone industry. So i think philips will come in the top-3 phone manufactures and the production of the fisio820 is just the beginning.

this is nice mobile, nokia has been improved her technology to hve trpile band mobile, which can use all over the world, which making life easy and simple, the 7210,and7650 are the same except the camera in 7650, well i think it will cost more, and it is more thicker,but the disadvantages is the battery is not that strong as the talk time is just up to 4 hours comparing to ericsoon t68 is nothing,but in general i will rated 86% , and please guys, dont says it is for gays, as this is not good behave, and i bit all the people who say that bad thing are using nokia , anyway , the cover can be changed to navy,grey,and orange colour,

This phone cant store more than 10 Java applications as it is said on the Nokia site, it's like the amount of spaces you have for ringtones. Only 5. If it was like the Siemens M50 or S45i with Java, those phones have about 500 KB of memory.

i think this is the right mobile to buy, it is better than ericsson , as 87% of the world using nokia, so it will be easy to send and receive message, at the same time , the option in that mobile u wont find it in any other mobile on the same size.

To DmX Actually no, why should he compare it with the P800? He should compare the 7650 with the P800... And the 7210 with the Z700... I'm actually an Ericsson fan (read my earlier post) but I have to give someone credit when they do a good thing, and the 7210 looks great on paper (just wondering if the price will remain, if you consider how grotesqly overpriced rest of nokias products are). Better than Z700, and if it have Nokias usual userfriendly software, then I will buy this one, despite being an Ericsson fan.
