I current own THREE of the N75's, which I bought NEW, DIRECT from the manufacturer. I am going to sell two of them, which actually have never even been used, I just loved the phone SO much I bought additional for persons I was adding to my company. To start off... there are a LOT of errors in the specifications for this phone listed on this page. It DOES have a jack for sound (the likes of AT&T, etc., REMOVED accessories from the boxes and sold them separately when they sold them as locked phones). The SD card capacity is incorrect, the sim card size is incorrect... MANY MANY of the specs listed here are incorrect, at a DISADVANTAGE to the N75.... the specs listed here seem to be for some other phone... ANYWAY: SOLID, RELIABLE phone. I've had a LOT of other phones in addition to this one and, let's just say, "new technology DOESN'T mean better technology".... in fact, I own FIVE different Androids and TWO different Blackberrys. The N75 IS a REAL business phone with EASY to access and actually USE functions. The one that I actually USED is, IMO, indestructible. Not only have I dropped it MANY times over the years I've had it but it doesn't have that "wicked" USB connection to charge it. It actually has a hole that the charger plugs into (it's been my experience that the demise and malfunction of "modern" phones is that they meet their demise MOST commonly through USB port malfunction and the all too common mistake of plugging them into the wrong charger thus frying the phone... one CAN'T do that with the N75). Additionally, batteries are STILL readily available for the phone AS are SD cards. Photos and Videos and your planner, etc., are VERY easy to upload to your computer device via a beautiflly designed USB cable (NOT a 3.0 or 2.0 like "modern" phones but a STURDY, reliable connection to your computer's USB port). Add on to these great features that a business person REALLY WANTS and NEEDS the fact that the N75 not only has bluetooth but IR too (just TRY finding ANY phone ANYWHERE today that supports IR... you can't.... I've tried) and it's a winner hands down. The ONLY thing that can be mildly cumbersome is if you like to take a lot of video... you WILL HAVE to transfer and save as a MP4 (or whatever format you use) as the one on the phone is an unusual format. It's fully readable and playable but to share or open on some other devices, you have to go "generic" formatting. Battery life when the phone came out was considered sup-par, and for those days it was... but NOT compared to today's phones which are the SOLE REASON that external chargers even EXIST! The battery life is just FINE and extra batteries quite inexpensive. I DO question the size of the sim card taken as indicated in this page as it says "mini-sim"... I'd have to look at my already boxed up and ready to sell and ship phones BUT I'm pretty sure it's a MICRO SIM, not a mini sim.... so beware of that before you start with adapters. ALSO.... if you happen to have one of the (what I call "butchered"... that is, contract phones which ARE ALWAYS butchered with a provider's own software, features moved, REMOVED, etc.) you can still, when unlocking your phone, download (very EASILY, I might add) the full REAL software that Nokia MADE for the phone. Great and SUPER STURDY phone! To be honest... for business people and those that require SUBSTANCE over toys, the N75 STILL stands out. Some carriers will try to insist the phone won't work on their networks... those are the 3G and 4G ONLY carriers. They really ONLY want you to buy their new contracts on phones with built in obsolescence. I've NEVER "purchased" a contract phone (you DO NOT own them at all... your carrier owns them and they are butchered to HECK with nonsense apps you don't want) in at LEAST 15 years and won't EVER do so. If you were to come upon someone who just bought an unlocked, international, straight from the manufacturer version of ANY PHONE at all and compare it not only in what is "in the box" to the functions, features, and useability of the phone... you'll see night and day. SO.... as I write this I AM talking about STRAIGHT FROM NOKIA, unlocked product.

It hs nt gt gps. It is only a gps software. When it searches for bluetooth devices it is actualy searchng for a bluetooth gps reciever since it hsnt gt integrated gps. U cn buy a bluetooth gps reciever if u wanna use in car bt otherwise its useless n bulky 2 carry.

then why does it show the functionality of gps in it..?? it does not show it as any internal option bt when we select the idle screen mode then an option of gps can b selected over there... in this application it tells to connect any bluetooth device to it..bt nothing is happened after it..!!

This cellphone sucks, Nokia knows that and that's why they discontinued this phone. Unfortunately I'm stuck with this slow cellphone, buggy with no chance of having software upgrade. If you are even considering buying this cellphone from eBay, don't do it... There are a bunch of better cellphones out there..

I have a Nokia N75 and I, too, am looking for the outer front housing. I have found them on the internet for about $75 but, thought I might find a used N75 that doesnt work and take my old broken housing off and put the new one. anyone have any ideas, of where I might get one? I've had the same battery problem with my N75, it will show full battery life and as soon as i started talking within les than a minute it shuts off. Otherwise the features are great.I hope to see better results when i changed the battery.

Warning to those who plan to buy this phone: This phone has a feature called �Tapping Control�. Supposedly, by just tapping on the screen, it will silence the phone or snooze your alarm. Unfortunately, when you activate or switch on the �Tapping Control�, the phone will automatically turn silent after about 1 or 2 seconds of ringing. Even without doing anything, it will just turn silent. Problem with this is that you will tend to miss calls since you won�t get to hear it long enough. The only way to make your phone ring properly is to switch the feature off thus, rendering the feature completely useless. Really hope Nokia will do something about this glitch. Recall the units perhaps and replace them with properly functioning ones. Or maybe there�s a solution that I just haven�t figured out. I dunno. Please let me know if you know how to fix this. Anyway, I�ve had this phone for just a day and so far that seems to be the only problem. Otherwise, great phone! Hope nothing else comes up.

Yeah this thing kind of got to me too. It was great for a while, but battery complaints are abundant. Some people have even said their batteries have literally exploded. You can get tons of themes online if you want, or even make your own (google myskin).

This phone really really sucks. I've had it for a year and a half and it's become a curse. At first I loved all the features and boasted about a long battery life, but over time I have liked it less and less. The buttons on the outside are touchy and the music player menu is nearly ALWAYS on when I take the phone out of my pocket/purse. The paint scratches off all the buttons, making it look pretty crappy. Also, it only comes with two themes - white and purple. It gets really boring after a while. The worst parts for me are the battery life while talking. The battery wears right out while talking to someone. It's so bad now that I can't talk to anyone for more than 30 SECONDS without it dying!!! I've gotten lost on the road with literally no source of help. I've received important phone calls and my phone died mid-conversation. I always have to talk on the phone while it is plugged into the wall. It's horrible. I cannot survive 5 more months with this thing. I've pissed off too many people with my constantly dying phone, it's pissed me off too!

hi, you have a lot of application running that you need to close, just hold down the menu button for 3 seconds and you will see all the applications you have open, if you'r on an application and dont close it properly it stays open.

love the phone, hate the battery, i have had this phone for 9 months now, the phone works great but the battery life sucks. There no warning, you see the strength on full an as soon as a conservation starts it beeps and cuts off. Taught it was a battery problem at first so i bought another. Same old story. All in all the phone has great features, looks good and works good beside the battery.

I've had my phone for 18 months and I hate that the battery just does not last very long and that is does shut off for no reason. I will even say dead battery but I can take it out and put it back and it will say full charge. You can start a conversation with all your battery bars and 30 seconds later its dead! Fustrating!

Farzana, I think the problem you have is with RAM, not normal memory. The best solution would be to find a program or application compatible with Symbian S60 3rd Edition that checks the RAM usage of the phone and possibly frees some of it up. Restarting your phone clears the RAM. Of the 44 MB built in, only 16 are left after full restart, so you really can't do too much... I know its frustrating. I got rid of this thing a year in and got an Iphone. But thats just me :)

I have N-75 from Jun,2008.I m so frustrated with this hand set coz usually it give memory full error even after deleting txt msgz and applications, this problem remain same with me.I thougt its builtin error with this set.Other than memory error,all other features are the best.After going thru all this may be i m going to sale this one very soon.

I bought my n75 in 8/2007 and thought it was great. It worked fine for the first year. No more. Do NOT buy this phone. I have deleted all text messages and removed every application and still I get memory errors. I have a memory card and it is useless. The slightest touch on the external key turns on the mp3 and it is frustrating to get the screen back. I hate it. hate it. hate it. I have found no solutions for these problems. I am just going to have to buy a new phone and give up.

i got my n75 around early July of '07. in the beginning, it was a great phone. having mostly nokias my whole life it was an easy choice. it was a huge improvement over my previous phone, but a little on the pricy side. for the first six months or so, i found little to complain about, aside from the battery issues. then it started dropping out of service, giving me an offline icon on the top of the screen. i would "fix" it by pulling out and re-inserting my sim card, which worked for me at first. then came the "shutting off for no reason," and the infamous "broken right hinge." at first i just thought i was a moron and didn't take good enough care of it, but as i've found, on multiple sites, im not alone. the final straw was the battery. it physically expanded... i dont know how better to explain it but it looks like its pregnant or has a pot-belly. it did so to the point where i was unable to put on the battery cover. i wish i could post pictures. bottom line: don't waste your money. it cost too much to have so many inconveniences. i now have a blackberry curve, and am very happy.

Best phone I've ever had. It did have some problems with the memory, and slowed down towards the end. That's the only complaint. Great OS. Great setup. They need to make it available again.

I used to have an N75 and I was relatively happy with in, until I started trying to multitask or do anything really after the memory filled up. With only 16 mb of RAM after full restart, this phone will fill up VERY fast. Multitasking is impossible as it just closes whatever you aren't using to make room, or it'll just close whatever u are doing. Even zooming in will give you a "General: Memory Full" notice. VERY frustrating. I got an Iphone and am very pleased. The N76 is the upgraded version of the N75 if you must get a Nokia phone like this. Goodluck.

Okay I had the replace this phone 3 times over the last year.. This have to be the worst phone I've ever owned. Its completely SLOOOOOOOWWW. Even with basic functions ie texting, opening up contacts and forget about looking at pictures in "my stuff." I had to take off the "tab" feautre because it was just slowing the proformace. Plus the battery just sucks. The MP3 player is annoying because it activate too easily. and trying to get back to its original screen is a pain in the rear.

The ringtones and music is extremely loud, I own one myself,it is not very pretty or small, its rather bulky, but the phone is awesome!! You can even edit videos right from your phone! You can access your music liberary when its closed! pretty sweet huh? Yea!

To lock the external keys, press the left softkey and then the star key, then close your phone. you can then unlock your phone from the outside if you want to do something without opening the phone

Well I love my Nokia N75 its the best phone I have never had and if you want a N75 that wont turn itself off buy one that has the Cingular firmware not ATT it will do that but the cingular firmware hass never gave me problems at all its a little slow and hesitant about opening applications but its still a really awesome cell phone NOkia is the best. and it doesnt turn itself off!!!

N75, started out ok for me, then, the slowness off just functions, it like hesitates before things pop up on your screen, other phone do not due that. Sometimes it gets stuck, and you have to wait for it or push more buttons for it to work again. also, the mps player was good, then while walking around in any pocket, it starts playing music, any where at any given time. No fucking keypad lock? WTF, I have never heard of a phone not being able to lock the outer key buttons, how dumb. also, the Camera & Video turm on automatically, and use up all your memory and battery, not knowing this, you go to use you phone and you have taken 1GB of pictures and video of inside your f pocket, how dumb again. I am so pissed that I am going to make them change my phone out for no cost. This is a shity design, has shity fuctionality, and will be suprised if this phone lasts long for Nokia. We all got had by this crap phone.

We have had 3 N75s and all do the same thing - turn themselves off with no warning. None of the phones have been dropped, and it doesn't matter whether or not the battery is fully charged. I've had these phones turn themselves off while they we sitting - untouched - on my desk. Nokia says they can't help - seems to be a problem with AT&T/Cingular software. AT&T is zero help - they just want to replace the (new) phones with rebuilt phones of the same model. (I've had 3 different new phones with the same problem - can someone in warranty/service explain exactly why I would want ANOTHER one?) AT&T won't let me trade for another model without paying retail less a minimal discount. Looks like I'm going to be out another $300/phone since I can't use phones that aren't dependable... I simply can't afford to mis one more emergency call because the #$*#*! turned itself off again. Sorry, I don't have any answers for you - just wanted you to know you're not alone with this problem.

I've read several of the comments and I find that the N75 has some very nice features, but it also has a couple of issues. I love the menu set up and the ease of use of the MP3 player. I find the battery life to be poor, uh, very poor in comparison to my last Nokia. I am not a heavy talker, but this phone's battery life is very, very short! I have to charge it almost every day, even without listening to my music, or using bluetooth features. I really think that Nokia had some very good ideas with design of the user interface, but it sucks the battery dry. I have turned off the tab-top and that seems to help a little. If anyone has any other ideas to help preserve the battery life, please let me know! ;)

This is the worst phone I have ever owned, and do not recommend it to anyone. The phone turns itself off 2-3 times daily, sometimes more. I have missed very important phone calls because I don't realize that the phone is even off. MWhen my battery is completely charged, this still happens. I was on replacement #3 phone because AT&T thought it was just defective. However, it happened with all three phones. My Dad had the same phone and had the same problem with it. We just traded ours in because were both at our witts end!

I would not recommend this phone. I am on my third N75. The battery sucks, the camera is hard to use, the MP3 player button is too easy to activate, when not needed. Shuts off at times and does not turn off at times. Spend your money on a string and two tin cans....

The phones sound great; of course we all have our own opinions about anything we buy. Can an N75 owner tell me if there is a place to plug in an external antenna? Most of the phones I've had in the past will have a little round rubber removeable rubber plug and an external antenna (like a magnetic based antenna you would use in a vehicle). In the pictures I have seen, I can't tell for sure. Needless to say I live in an area where I don't get a good signal but a mile away from my home, I get a full signal. This phone is pretty good. However, the battery is horrible, so i recommend that bluetooth users turn off the bluetooth function when not in use. In addition, i would recommend that it be kept in its belt hollister as much as possible; the very nice lcd cover sceen is easily broken. Other than that, the phone is nice, with many, many features.

good phone, the power boton is up wen is close, the dial voice is the rigth soft boton but u need hold like 2-3 seconds, u can run ngage games, nintendo roms, game boy advance games, pico drive, sega games roms, sound play mp3, mp4, wma, acc, amr, wav, if u buy a pogram also ogg, and many more, video play 3gp, mpg, avi, amr, rm, w/core player also stream video many more stuff, also play sfw, (but not in browser) and can screensaver sfw and animated themes, u also use u phone like remote control 4 u tv, vcr, dvd, sky etc. W/program

AMAZING phone!!! Worth every penny!!! Don't listen to the reviewers that put this phone down. I have dropped this phone so many times on concrete, down stairs, in a pool, and it works perfectly! Camera is great! Service is fantastic. Internet is fast.

When first got the phone through at&t loved it, it had almost all the feautres that wanted in a phone plus dont use. However broke it when I dropped it was replacce and not have the tab top feature on it and now it runs so slow, powers itself off, when turn the tab top off, works a little faster but still turns off. Tab top was the worst thing that could have been put on that phone reminds me of a lot of the sony ericssions.

Nice phone very easy to work with takes great pictures, though my only problem since the phone is flip flop it is very fragile and I broke it 2 months after I bought it. Battery is also low!!!

hinge broke in a week, my buddy's broke the next week (he had it for a few months) and of course that's not a warranty issue because i "must have been too rough on it". stay away from this one unless you're gonna keep it in the box, or you like your screen hangging by the wires harness.

This is the most worst Nokia phone. Don't buy looking at shape & style,u will end up throughing it in trash. 1>battery die for 30 to 40 minits talk time. 2>turn offs regularly, itself. 3***>>lot of strain on the ear,if talked more than 10 min. Takes 5 min for the ear to adjust back to original state after call. 4>difficult to use head phones. 5>sim card flushes out some times. This is a FLOPE model, Don't buy it,don't become FOOL.

Its only available in US if iam right. That why it may seem unpopular but it luks lyk a good phone. Most of the N series or E series phones are either bar or slide but very few flip phones like N71. N71 has the horrible design ever but this one looks more like a phone and is a flip phone. I really wana get it but as i live in NZ and this phone is only available is US its kind of hard for me to get ahold of one of these babys.

Well this phone is HORRIBLE when you buy it through ATT, because of all the firmware crap that they do to it. But if you unlock it and unbranded it, which is fairly easy, This phone will rock your world. When I first bought this phone from ATT it was bad, the OS seemed WAY too slow, and the Stereo Bluetooth was disabled because of the ATT bundled garbage. But trust me with a few mods on it it will be one of the greatest phone you will own.

Phone was locked to AT&T when i got it from the US for 39.99$. Had to get it unlocked for 50$ in a electronics mart in India. Sound quality is good and reception is sometimes in doubt. Phone hangs if any feature using AT&T network is used. battery life is poorer that most other Nokia phones i have used. Came to about 4-5hrs when used for making 6-10 calls of 20mins duration each.looks good and fits snuggly in the hand but not worth the pain!

Somewhat disspointed. The front music buttons are easily bumped to an onposition. This adds the the most serious problem of always having a dead battery. The most time I have gone without having to recharge is 24 hours. This is without using any internet, only 4 short phone calls in one day.. Very bad always a dead phone.

in my experience this is a great phone. i don't have any problems with this. the sound is very good with or without the headphones.... the principal display is amazing... the camera is very good for a cellphone (if you want a high quality images, then use a digital camera) and the time that the battery works is very good for a phone with this features. you can access to the radio, music player and the camera without open the phone using the second display and read received messages too. in my opinion congratulations to nokia for this device sorry for my poor english

I just had the N75 for a week from Wirefly for $39.99 activated through AT&T. Don't know why so much complaints about the battery and other problems addressed here....mine works fine. It's a phone for Pete's sake. Consider the tiny size of the stereo speakers....I would say it sounds amazing. Want the best image quality? Use a real camera.

Have this phone for about 6 month -- got it because of NOKIA -- made a very bad choice: Following are the CONS: 1. Battery Life -- light to moderate usage does not hold for even 1 day!!!! When battery is about to die, phone does not make any noise (like my other nokia phones) -- it just dies! 2. While driving can not activate a speaker on the incoming call -- first press answer button then press Speaker :( 3. SIM location on this phone is not the best possible (it's not under the battery, it's on the side of the battery). It's hard to put in SIM Card or pull it out -- you might need tweezers to do it. Also, phone sometimes looses connection -- had to pull out battery to put back the SIM card that popped up. 4. Camera has a light that is completely useless. Pictures and movies come out good only on the bright day. Nice album application though. 5. Charger for this phone has smaller prong compared to previous nokia phones -- it is very bad, since it keeps coming out from the phone (the end of the prong is not designed to stick in as with the previous nokias). 6. Phone did not come with any included non-demo games (it's not like I am playing a lot of games, but my old 6230i and other nokia phones I owned came with at least couple of included full versions of soft). 7. Full browser is nice, but on some sites does not operate (just closes browser application without any warning).

personally i think this phone is great, i just wish it had more internal memory and longer battery life, it says you get 4 hours but i feel its about 2.5-3 hours of talk time and as for video, it serves as a great media playing device, but for higher quality video, download divx mobile, the sound and video quality is outstanding. camera is nice too, but it looks kinda a grainy until you upload it onto the comp, ive had mien for about months now

Hello I really recommend this phone. The music player is good, the camera is not perfect as mentioned in the other comments but it is okay. The keypad is awesome. Very smooth and makes texting easy and fast. I never had a phone with a better keypad than this. The screen is really good too. I bought it for 20 bucks at AT&T. Go buy before they are out of stock!!

For all of you who complaint about the battery on this phone there is a simple way to basically double the battery time on it. As follows: Menu>Settings>Config.>Connection>Packet data>When needed. DONE! Believe me, it makes a difference. I work for a cell phone company and the Nokia Rep showed us this. So, there. Enjoy.

The AT&T/Cingular version for the U.S. is slow and buggy, but that is because it is preloaded with carrier branding. Once the branding is removed and you reset the phone to factory specs, you gain about 20MB of RAM and applications speed up greatly. I use an unbranded/unlocked Nokia N75 on AT&T and it works amazingly well. For under 200 dollars you cant beat it, and since I hate slider phones, its the closest thing to the N95 available here. Gotta love the 2.4" screen on a flip phone.

Let me start off by saying that i will only use a nokia phone. Love them to death. Best reception, user interface, style, etc. I have to say.....I was excited to receive my n75 because i heard good things about it. Even a buddy of mine has it and loves it. I work for cingular so i get it at a discounted price too! Can't beat that right? Wrong......I want to throw this phone into a wall. What did Nokia do? They almost ruined my faith in them forever with this slow, buggy, falling apart, piece of crap. Good luck texting on it....the application is soooooo slow. You have to pray not to get multiple texts at a time or reply to 2 at once because it takes soooo long to leave the screen. And the pictures/camera? Disgusting! I have to add effects to every picture so it looks normal and is not choppy. Let me also add that the battery life is the worst i ever seen! The Razr has a better battery life than this phone. 8 hours of the phone being on with minimum/medium usage, it is DEAD. If the music is put loud it sounds horrible. I am so dissatisfied with this phone. Time to go back to my 6682 which gave me 0 problems and i loved it! Thinking about purchasing an N73 but can that phone restore my faith in Nokia? It seems that it will but after this i just dont know. I dont need an exremely high tech phone so that seems to be the one to make me happy as long as its not a jalopy like my N75. Battery life, a Carl Zeiss camera, and some tech sounds good to me. I figured that maybe it was just MY phone. I asked 4 other people who had the EXACT same complaints as me. I dont think that its a coincidence. Nokia should recall all of these handsets.

The menu loading is pretty fast, alot faster than some N-series phones. Also, ive never gotten a single hang-up before. The phone is nice but it does not include in the box the head phone for FM radio feature. This phone can function in the philippines as it is a GSM. One more thing is that it has the Flash Player feature but it wont work and cant even play MPEG.

To someone above, 3G has no diffrent frequencies, ask any operator. 3G only uses 2,1 GHZ. Asia uses HSPDA (faster form) of 3G, but most phones can be used on it even if they don't support it, in Belgium it works and I've been to asia, and I haven't gotten any problems there also.

It it a very good phone for the practical person. The video camera mode is fantastic at the highest quality but blurry on the sharing mode. You can share video up to a minute on that mode. You can send normal quality videos clips for about 30 sec. to your email address.But you can't send these types of video to another phone. For a small flip phone I am surprise that it has flash photography. The music part of the phone is great of course, but try using blue tooth head sets from motorola or other non-Nokia accessories. It will not work as well.You can only hear on only one side of the phones. I have yet to try to out the Nokia headsets. Emailing is very good. I have to use the media net way to see and transmit emails. Some pdf ebooks {very small ones} can be transmitted.Using a 2G memory card would the ideal choice if music, photos, and videos capture is what you do the most. Battery quality is another problem....it is very short. Try bying another battery from Nokia because your talk time of user time is very limited. You can edit video with your camera as well. I feel that if you want more quality in your pictures and video.....use a regular camera because you have more megapixals and fpm on them. The N75 has 2mp and a 15 fpm mpeg4 video quaality.

I wonder what she'd (Bonnie Cha) know about the phones if she never used one? This phone's camera viewfinder has the fastest reaction time than any other camera phones out there. Picture quality is very good and it's much better than any 3MP camera phones in the market. As always Nokia phones have the greatest reception quality! Eventhough this N75 is not much like the high end N series like the N95, but it is definitely worth the money.

The Nokia N75 from Cingular is a fantastic 3G phone. Bought it last week and am very pleased. 2MP camera works fine. Preferably outdoors in natural light. Video at 15fps is fine, too. Screen is second to none. Calls are very clear & coherent. Internet surfing and shopping is the best, just in my opinion. The FM stereo radio is great. You will still need a Nokia stereo headset and micro SD/Transflash card for optimum performance (not included in Cingular's package). Most definitely the best phone I've owned to date, feature & performance rich. Try one for yourself. I think you will be pleased.

Al, There is no solution for your problem, you see, BMW's software writers didnt write the code for this certain nokia for the cars computer to recognize it. BMW's only recognize Motorola, Some Samsung, Some Nokia, and Blackberry. You will just have to wait until BMW updates the cars computer software which might never happen. Nokia N75 is exclusively for the U.S. markets. Nokia has a similar or should I say better offering for Asian markets, the Nokia N76, which will be released in Europe and Middle East as well.

If you already have N70, then going for N75 is no upgrade at all. You've already got 2 megapixel phone, and this N75 is another 2 megapixel one for a price that's quite expensive. Just a piece of advise, N73 is a better upgrade from N70, with 3.2 megapixel Carl Zeiss optics.

Hang on a minute: the 6290 appears to be very similar to this phone and even has a slightly better spec. GSMArena's technical specifications have not mentioned the second camera for video calls. About the auto key lock... of course the normal, manual key lock's still there, but many previous Nokia phones have had that handy auto lock that you can set to lock the keys after a certain time period of your choice. I guess the designers have decided that these phones that don't have the keypad visible all the time don't really need to have it, as there are only those 3 keys on the cover and then those few on the sides of the phone. Now that the auto lock's there, it locks also the media keys but they were the problem in the first place since the pocket of my bag was obviously perfectly shaped to push them all the time... The auto lock opens automatically as you open the lid but it can also be opened without opening the lid, by using the media keys, which is handy for me :)

Hey N75: Yes it has "menu+*" key lock. Although actually it is not "menu key", but "left soft key". I think VIrdians point was that you have to do this yourself, the key lock does not get activated when you close the lid. Actually this makes some sense, because then you should unlock it if you want use media keys.

I've had this phone in use for a few months now and the more I use it, the more I like it. You can use the camera both with the cover screen and the bigger screen inside. The camera isn't that good really, the pixels could be enough but it has no auto-focus... then again I have a real digital camera for more serious photo taking, this one I use more as an MP3 player/radio. The sound quality (thru the in-built stereo speakers) is rather impressive for a phone (and speakers that are smaller than the nail on your pinky finger). You can get a decent amount of music on the memory card and you can listen to them anytime anywhere, that's what I really love...I have the phone with me anyway, all the time everywhere, whereas I never managed to keep the mp3 player with me god knows I tried... And another thing I like about it is that you can personalize both displays with your own pictures - I took some photos from my computer and put them there, they don't have to be those you take with the phone's own camera. The only bad thing I can say about it is that it had no automatic key lock. There are three keys on the front cover and I noticed that I really need the auto key lock, as the phone was playing music in my bag (and consuming the battery) almost every time I put it in there. Luckily the auto key lock could be ordered to the phone as an extra application.

I am puzzled about Nokia and the N series. They are supposed to be at the cutting edge of mobile phone technology but instead I am seeing gimmick after gimmick. The N75 is supposed to continue where the N73 left off. We are supposed to see improvements both in stability of the softwear and also in technology. Thus we should be looking at 1)VGA(30fps) video recording 2)WLAN capability 3)Xenon flash 4)Internet browsing in landscape mode 5)Stereo Bluetooth(A2DP) 6)TV out mode 7)Minimum of 3 megapixel camera with autofocus. None of these standards have been met in the N75 and yet Nokia clearly has the technology to implement them. The only improvement on the N73 is the 16M colour screen. Why are Nokia holding back on us?? Why are Nokia giving us crumbs instead of the real meal??

for one this phone is a lot smaller than the n80 its dual band umts, and quad band gsm non of that tri band crap. the ui is fast and prompt, the keys are easy to press and the umts data transfer is ungoldy fast as well. this phone is perfect. the camera is nice also its crisp and clean and the flash does it justice, all it needs is a woman built into it then it would be 100% perfect. :)

in a phone, 2-3 mega pixels doesn't make any difference. The pictures look grainy if the picture is taken with large size in any kindof phone. The bigger the size, the harder to you to send it back and forth anywhere.

Posted b4: Okay, I don't get it. How is this thing 50% thicker than a RAZR and heavier going to compete with it? If u had any smarts up in that brain of urs, u would read the specs and see that this N75 WAY out feature's the pos razr. there's nothing impressive about nokia products. they promote their models but they dont guarantee the service you can get from them. they warranty service is poor. you are just throwing your money when buying phones from them. i experienced it myself.

I am waiting for Nokia to announce a clamshell phone with nice design. Now,it's come true. However, this phone will be released in US only. this phone will be first available in the United States in the 4th quarter. cingular currently has it in testing. if the phone sells well in the US, nokia will release it in Asia and Europe. but for now, this is for America.

Yeap Folks, Comments, comments & ............ comments. But no one is gettin' 2 da point dat NOKIA is the "Jack of all trades". Nokia never failed in the (especially N series) which are proven to be great. I got the N70 (good looking and functional phone), now also I onw a N80 for which there is no comparisson on the market. Now the release of the N75 and N95. None of the NOKIA units I owned gave any troubles. At least Vodacom proven its network. Folks, if U got problems, check with your service provider before criticizing any of the NOKIA's products. After all, NOKIA is ........ forever.

nice looking phone. it is obviously position to be going up against sony ericsson's z610i and specifically, motorola's very successfull v3x that's why it will be introduce in th US first, Motorola's bailwick. hope it will not be expensive. if it is more expensive than mototola's then it can kiss it sales goodbye. by the way, why did they put the camera at the back. does that mean the battery is smaller and will not last very long? just asking. :)

The battery is weak. Only 800 mAh. Many things that steal battery capacity.I have got the N73 with 1100 mAh and that battery only lasts 100 hours on stand bye. I luckily bought an extra battery.

i thnk this is a cheaper version of nokia 7390 but with a little bigger internal screen. other than that, 7390 seems to have better features. but i still like it. hope it will not be too expensive like all nokia 3g and n-series phone right now in the market. at least it should have the same price as that of mot v3x which is selling very well here in the philippines right now.

this fone is beauty.. its camera is better than of N73 because of the screen size, pixels and colors. its external display is 262k,(n93 main display is of 256k), outer screen can take very good(nearly exellent for 2mp) camera photos n videos too. its a lady like fone but can also be used by male.

I feel,N73 is a much bettter choice.. Apart from having a second external display which is practically useless... N73 however has a secondary external cam which is necessary for video call (N75 Lacks it). Lastly N75 is a girly phone. So if u ask me N73 is a far more wise choice....
