As far as I know, the internal memory of the phone is formatted so that about 24MB of the memory is singled off for the OS and the basic apps, and the rest is read as a separate mass storage, as though it were an SD card.

If you're in the US, that would be why. Apparently the phone isn't compatible with US 3G networks. Kinda sucks, but I heard it gets excellent 2g reception which is what you'll have most of the time anyway.

Looks you need a hard reset. Try * + 3 + Green button (holding them) and power on the phone. Keep holding the 3 keys and let go a few seconds after the Nokia logo appears.

if the 8gb is not showing properly you just connect the phone to your pc and update your soft ware using pc suite,you can only update the software if you are having internet.

i have been have been using the n8 for about a year and a half.it is a fon that really disappointed me.the cam is poor,buit quality iz poor,navi wheel worked for abt 6 monts,hangs very often. don no y nokia came up with such a cheap fon. i have been using my e51 as secondary fon. thiz iz realy a gud fon sleek and thin.itz any damn day beta than n8. i purchased n8 and wasted my money.hope nokia doesnt cum up with such cheap fones. jin

i also got problem when i newly purchased it. Then i search it on google. I got answer. Answer is hack nokia mobile. you need hack ur mobile. Dont worry its easy i also hack my n81 8gb. I prefer n82 over this phone. After using for 4-5 hours, the phone get hanged. There is some sort of "ribbon" beneath the keypads which I have to get it fixed after every 2-3 months. One of the volume controller button is not working too and hence I cant listen audio files from the default music player. If you are a person who texts people a lot and use mobile internet a lot then I won't recommend this to you. The keypads aren't really that comfortable for quick typing. This phone cost me 30,000 (Pakistani rupees) and if I have to sell this phone, people will buy this phone for not more than 8-9k :(

i've bought mine the first month it got released, i payed about 670$ or so for it, still have it till now, using the v10 software, never been updated, and it works really good, dropped it like a thousand time, the screen cracked so i had to get a new one, camera could have been better, but i don't us it that much, as for the sound, it's superb, i even stopped using my ipod, the keypad is noisy, each button u click makes noise, but it can still handle my supper fast typing :).. and they should have made the 8gb version with a card slot for extended memory...

i have mine, i really looove this phone because of memories ive had with this baby, tee hee. ok off with my verdict. this is a regular nokia phone, and by regular i dont mean its bad. the only thing bad for me is the camera. POOR . full of noise, and the picture came out pixelated. disaster. the sound is also very good, at the rate.it is fast, no fuss. 8/10 at the time i bought which is about 2007/2008. but as we all know that nokia is best at its versatility, this one delivers it well. the keypad still support me to type fast, and though n81 is a slider phone it doesnt made it fragile. clumsy me i tend to dropped this phone more than 50 times, it is still intact. intact refers to its sliding mechanism, of course.the rim is chipped at many places due to numerous falling to the ground.it still doing good til this very second (been having it for about 3yrs til now)

THE BAD: -slider's edge is out of the phone for like 1 mm - its plastic build material attracts dust so easy - i really hate the camera when using at night THE GOOD: -8gb memory -good sound quality though both loud speakers and headset -music playback buttons r easy 2 use -camera is good in the morning -great software it never reloads or something as i read some people complain about that. i had this phone about 2 yrs ago. I must say that this is one of the best phones ive ever owned. Its the best music on the market even now. How the build quality isnt so good. It fell apart in less than 2 yrs. The screen stopped working. The buttons went. It was jus a hot mess. But for some reason i still liked it. I guess it was the sound quality. Now i hav the n97 and i must say the speakers on this phone sucks. I really do miss my n81

good enough 4 the music.. The browser doesnt support resumable download like n73 have. So its almost impossible to download large file when using gprs.. Great ngage game .. not good enough for the camera.. Its doesnt have Gps receiver too.

Both are same, the only difference is 8gb memory n the color choice between the 2, i have 8gb, no problem except it's color wears off VERY EASILY :( n rarely it hangs. Music is great.

well people i was a proud owner of this phone until it fell apart.it is scratched easily, the buttoms after time doesnt work as they should, then the camera went, then if that wasn't enough the screen went. wow, good going nokia and i had the phone a little over a yr. this phone i admit is still the best phone i have had but its not durable at all for a nokia. nokia needs to step up on product quality and build phones that lasts more than 1 yr. does anyone else has this problem

what is meant by your tech guy is that the unit's circuit board got toasted when you blow dried it. it's a no-no to blow dry your mobile phone when it got soaked wet. replacing the circuit board will cost you nearly the same amount as buying a new unit.

I've had this phn since Feb '08. Overall its 1of the best phns ive had. But a few problems/dislikes are that it fades very quickly especially around the edges. The navi wheel function is not user friendly at all (its turned off permanently. Its more of an annoyance than a help) Considering its a N Series the camera is a bit dissapointing. It just restarts while im in the middle of downloading or surfing the net and once it switches back on programs like opera mini dnt work. The program is stil on my phn but doesnt start up, i gotta download it again and then only will it work. That is the most IRRITATING thing abt this phn. Will a software upgrade sort that out? The 3g and wlan are excellent features though!

nokia should update this phone.but not like n96 and n86.those are high-end models.a mid range n-gage that would be on par with 5730 but with slide out numpad,not qwerty.this phone has a good appeal when closed,with that military olive.those music buttons are in the way,along with the ugly button design in general.maybe something closer to 5730.i think im basically suggesting a 5730 with numpad slideout.

V21.0.010 is hackable, with HelloOX1.3 ,mine has been on V21.0.010 for 4months now,and hacked it a month after getting V21, you need a certificate to install HelloOX though.

i have updated the firmware to the latest (V 21.0.010) it gives good performance and stability to the phone and few improvements with increased security , hacking tools such as binpda etc wont work with it anymore , and the menus work smoothly with a new random transaction popup animations which is very cool . i think everyone should upgrade but dont even think about hacking ur phone after that which means you cant install pirated stuff and hacked stuff on it , i guess its all ok for me to tune up for the latest firmware :-)

I've been using Nokia n81 for about 1 year. It fell and got wet many times and it's still working like when i bought it. It's not very good filming or fotographing (only good if it's to send video messages)but ITS BEST CELLPHONE FOR GAMES. The two keys on top of the screen alow you to play games (emulators for example) like if you had a PSP or a Game boy. I play Super Mario Bros. all the time, fast and with the graffics from the Gameboy advanced

For the loudspeakers... just put the phone on the 'Jazz EQ' for headphones... use the 'Rock'. My own eq worked perfectly... i called it 'Balance', basically... average bass, lower vocals and average cymbals, but you may be different. You will know by listening while yo are tuning.

The N81 is far better than the SE W705, the fact that N81 has 96mb RAM, 369mhz CPU, built-in 3.5mm jack, Symbian S60v3.1 etc. . .gives it a huge advantage over the limited java W705.

Hey Zubair, u can upgrade it to V20. Mine version firmware is V20, when I buy N81, it firmware already V20. Really pratical isn't it? You can upgrade to V20, V 20.0.056, there is no problem at all, u can even use navi wheel at phonebook and messages, and the transition effects looks cool. Well, that's all what I can say. Happy upgrading!

Im currently using Sennheiser CX300s, they are earplugs, with brilliant bass techology and built in audio chip,i get great sound quality from my N81 due to this, they are so loud that i can only put the volume bar 2steps below full volume,any higher and its too loud.

It's a great phone if you are a music freak, camera is only 2mp but since it's a music phone so it's ok. Never encountered any problem in this phone except a few rare like hanging or turn off, very very rarerly. I don like the flatbed keybad though. Over all a Very Nice Phone.

Hi guys, I've been had N81 8GB for 8 months, I'll share something that you guys always concerned, the camera. Some said it's good, some said it's bad. Both comments are true, N81 camera performance is depending of the photo object. If you shoot bright green grass, it'll completely washed out... Pretty annoying. But if you shoot people face, it'll turn out pretty good, as long as you shoot it in good light conditions.

by default navi wheel option is turned off. u've 2 enable it.. u can enable it by goin to tools->settings->general->Navi Wheel. it'l b off. change it 2 on.. i guess tht vil solve ur prob.

hey dude that happened to me too...just hard reset it...hold the green call button, keypad 3 and the * keypad all together at the same time as you switch it on again...ur memory will be plentiful again...and a bit of a tip...dont use so many apps at once cuz ull eat up all ur phone memory nd ram...dont worry this also happens to all symbians phone like n96 95 and more..hope dis helps :)

Never realy understood Gdesk to be honest lol, but then again those types of apps dont exactly fit what i use my phone for which is Mainly Music, Gaming and Web browsing. Yep V21.0.010 ,its a very stable firmware but sumhow brought two hardware failures, anyway didnt use either much, i use my SE K850 to take quality pics. But if those are important to you then stay away from .010.

Oh okay cool bro. Which V21 do you have? V21.0.008 is the one that they removed but last week they released V21.0.010 which fixes the lil bugs that .008 had like not being able to install CorePlayer to the memory card. I had 008 and recently updated to .010. By the way they are now hackable with HelloOX, would you like me to upload it for you?

Hi, man! I've updated the firmware as soon as appears,but some time later it was removed from a website as there was no v21. So i'm stuck with it. The phone is no longer hackable. The only problem i have is activating my loudspeaker during the conversation. The loudspeaker option was assigned to the right soft button. Now it always says "handset", as if the loudspeaker is already activated. I have to go to options and choose "activate loudspeaker from there. Nothing serious but inconvenient enough. No more problems,man, except that.

Hi, everyone! I'm back after over a month. The phone memory can be occupied not only by messages, photos, music, etc., but also by temporary internet files. If you have a third party file manager installed (Y-browser,Xplore, etc), go to disk C: and in the root of it find the folder "cache". Open it and delete all the files. Or open you internet browser and in options go to "clear privacy data" and choose "clear the cache". That's it! You've got your memory back. Simple as that.

Dear just look the right hand of ur Mobile there is an arrow up and Down.Up increase the volume whereas Down arrow decrease the Volume u can adjust it urself.In this way u can cantrol the voice problem. Just keep the volume of earpiece on Third last And Louder on Middle.Ur problem will be clear.

u mean the navigation button in the middle , no it doesnt change colors unless u get some kind of paint brush and paint it hahahaha ... its plastic and its all good , and the navigation button of n81 also got the navigator wheel around it that makes scrolling down and up ur music playlist and media gallery easy and fun , i got my n81 8gb second hand (and i got it free from a friend of mine just as a small present) its been almost two weeks and im loving it . (im no nokia sponsor & im loving both nokia and s.e. phones followed by samsung lg and motorolas so dont misunderstand) :-D

i dont understand what kind of question u asked back there like is it that ur getting loud sounds than u want in ringin tone or from the speakerphone or the top ear speaker ? u have certain options to level down the volume of such things inbuilt to ur phone ... anyway i suggest you do a hard reset to your phone before doing that backup all ur contacts and messeges and emails ... type in *#7370# when the phone restarts enter the country u live in for eg - usa (english language) and set date or time when it asks to then ur done and good to go ... all ur settings are default (back to original settings) and any viruses or corruptions that have been affecting ur phone have been removed good luck ...

u actually brought a w580 then bad move buddy we both are on the same boat cuz i brought a w580 3 months ago after 1 week the keypad got scratched they replaced it and took another month again it got scratched and damaged ... later on i noticed that everyone who owns a w580 faces the same problem ... and many have faced a signal problem in it ... i really love the looks of the phone but i will never recommend it to anyone ... lol ... anyway moving on the n81 keypad is large and good enough for texting it wont give any problems trust me on this one ... no scratching or breaking buttons in it ...

the phone is great ... the camera is a bit bad when taking photos in dark environments (it gives noicy pics in dark sourroundings) well so many camera phones are the same unless its a xeneon flash equipped phone model , but in day light its doing great so as the video recorder in it ... the 8 gb memory is outstanding so much space for music videos and n gage games ... its running on symbian series 60 so the phone got so many functions than any other phone and so many applications and games to be downloaded via the internet ... symbian phones supports the largest collection of mobile applications in the world ... the 3.5 mm jack is inbuilt which means instead of the original headset it supports headphones from ur pc mp3 player etc. it gives outstanding sounds through the dual speakers and on headphones ... the navigator wheel is very useful to surf through ur music library which will be very long in a 8 gb memory ... ill give the phone 9 out of 10 which means the cam is 2mp and it takes bad pics in night times (not like my sony ericsson k850i 5 mp camera with xeneon flahser and the led flash well its just a camera phone anyway) what you want is music and real mobile 3d gaming with large memory capacity and symbian with a 2 mp ok to use camera this phone is for u ...

you asked about the SE k850i? i can say that it is a powerful camera phone for those who love taking pix.. The camera speed(startup,shooting, zooming,etc) is quicker than my N85. it takes crystal clearer pics, and has better pic editor apps built in the phone than my N85. Its basically a sony cybershot camera with a phone on it. be weary, If you are a heavy texter, cuz the buttons on the k850i are so small and it gets annoying if u are a fast texter....the current firmware has no bugs on my k850i. its frozen up before, but so has my N85! the xenon flash works wonderful, better than the dual LED flash on the N85. the single speaker is much clearer on the k850i than the dual speakers on my nokia n85. it all depends what you are looking for in a phone. The k850i is the milestone of camera phones for SE. much better than Nokia. I like my N85 better than my k850i in many other ways, but thats a different story. I know you were asking about getting your N81 for the K850, but i figured the specs on the N85 are almost similar. My N85 is currently at Nokia for repair on the earpiece.. Google that issue. a lot of people are having problems with the earpiece on the new N85!!!!

today i got a n81 8gb as a present from a friend of mine , i love the large storage capacity of it however im really disatisfied with its 2 mp cam while taking photos in night times or in dark environments , maybe its cuz im used to my s.e. k850i anyway look at the bright side its s60 3rd edition , plus a large amount of features . and a much much bigger display with a navigator wheel makes it fun to navigate through my music using it . the 3.5 mm input is so cool try out a different headset even a bigger sized stereo headset ur ears will get blown away by the sounds of it . i give this phone 9 out of 10 .

is this phone model worth to be exchanged with a k850i ... i brought it brand new and my friends n81 8gb is used as hell it got scratches all over it ... and above all the n81 got symbian but my k850i got too much of a powerful camera (5mp with xeneon flash and autofocus) and i found out that the speaker of the k850i is making so much sound than the n81's stereo speakers ... i must make sure i wont miss my k850i ...

try to go to application then select application manager.all files with a memory card symbols are files that was saved to mass memory.those files w/o symbols are files saved to your phone memory.be very careful on deleting these files.make sure your deleting only those files that you download and never delete other files that was already there.these may disable some features of your phone.(ex. navi wheel function). hope these will be helpful

very simple my friend.1st go to message then press option, go to setting and select others.change the phone memory to mass memory.any data (video or music) you transfer by using bluetut on mass memory will not be shown if you change back the setting to phone memory and vice versa. hope this will solve your question

Ive had the phone for a year. The camera is NOT bad i bought the phone without any expectations about the camera but i compared it with my friends samsung (it has 3.2 mpx) and it was clearly better. The camera isnt like other 2 mpx cameras. i think its because nokia doesnt want to put all qualities in one phone to make more money. Anyway the music is fantastic. The speakers are very loud and the quality of the music is very high. The internet browser is pretty good and easy to use. (I reccomend using SkyFire because it has flash 9 intsalled on it.). It has a lot of battery time (17 days standbye and 11.5 hours music). its a great phone and i think everyone should buy it.

What the hell are talking about?! When i open a video file of 700 megabite? What happens then? Nothing. I'll open a video file and watch it. The size of the document has no connection to ram as you mentioned exept the longer time it loads. You won't be able to scroll quickly as it will take time for another page to load. So, only the current page you are viewing is loaded not all the 90 mgb of pages.

Ok, so this handset is able to handle PDF files, but what happens if the PDF file is, say, 90mb? With the OS alone you consume more than 10mb of memory, I assume, so when I try to open this PDF, Acrobat tries to send it all to the RAM and, of course, it's insufficient, so I can't open it. Does anyone know a way to get around this that isn't splitting the PDF file with the PC?

The problem with smartmovie is that it's not free. You can either buy it or use a cracked aplication. Besides it is big in size and uses alot of system resources. The only good side is that it has a converter for PC. Personaly I'm using DivX player. It's free. Plays DivX, XviD and has the same functionality as smartmovie but uses less space. There are millions of programs for PCs to convert your movie to divx or xvid format and to have the resolution and bitrate optimal to play it on the phone. But if you want a player that plays everything + with a superb quality go for a CorePlayer. Look for it in series60v3.com

I got a new 8gb N81, thinking that the performance would be real good.The phones hungs up sometimes when I listen to music, the picture quality is pathetic though the video quality is good.The battery is not so bad, but my main complaint is the picture quality.I was using a Nokia 5300 before which has 1.3 mp and the pictures I got from it is better than the Nokia N 81, really dissapointing experience.

Yes the antenna is located at the bottom but signal is still great for me, im constantly online on IM and Web browse often without any errors, also i never had calls being dropped even at very low signal areas, so its all good. :)

I heard that since the antenna on the N81 is at the bottom, people that talk on the phone lose signal from holding the phone to talk. Is this still a problem with the newer recently made models? If this is the case..... Also, when I had a N95-4, I only spoke on the headset to keep my music at hand. What you must understand is that the N82 has a CPU with full video and graphics acceleration so it can play higher bit rates and resolutions but theres no point in playing VGA res and 1500kbps bit rate videos on a device that only has a QVGA res. Bit rate is fine a 300kbps there wont be much difference in quality. The N81 can play very high bit rate videos but i see no point in making vids so big. I have my South Park episodes sitting at 300kbps bit rate, 15-20FPS, each episode is around 68-70mb and look great,they play in Real Player without a single glitch and the quality is excellent without taking up much space. :)

I see that you don't have an idea about what kind of software can play video, and what type of video is supported. You can not generalize video. There are so many formats that you can't imagine. Be more specific in your post so people will understand what you mean.

Your clips are not playing well just because you want too much from your phone. First of before playing smth make sure the phone is capable of playing it. For the build in Real Player the resolution should not exceed 320x240 and the bit rate not higher then 600 kb/s for optimal playback. When we say that the phone supports the playback of a high bitrate video we mean the playback in the third party applications, such as DivX Player and especialy Core Player. Have a look at symbian60v3.com for them or Google knows where else.

They just missed out to mention Stereo, it even has a graphic accelerometer & not all phone unit's display is clumsily, may be what you got was unfortunately not well built. The phone is gr8, specially after the new firmware upgrade.

Thank you for your attention, I appreciate that. Unfortunately you can hardly know if you'll be able to remove the theme you are installing. Some of them say that it's not compatible with the phone, but installing and removing fine. They are produced with different software. The one you can trust and even make your own themes is Nokia's made Carbide UI. Or you can make themes straight on your phone with Theme DIY. These themes will uninstall easy. The rest that are not shown in application manager will stay in your phone untill you format the memory, because the uninstall file is automaticaly removed during installation by a theme itself, 'couse it's programed to do so. There is a way to remove all files belonging to a theme manualy with the help of different third party file managers or file explorers. But unfortunately I can not tell you the procedure 'couse i never tried myself. Try to google for an answer and you'll definitely find it yourself.

The phone has serious phone memory issues. Try installing nokia maps 3d but take note of ur phone memory. There are some apps like this dat only install to phone memory. By the way can anyone tell me how to uninstall nokia maps cos it doesn't show in application manager.

Also had the same phone memory problem. My problem solve by changing the message from phone memory to mass memory (menu-messages-option-settings-other-memory in use) AND delete some ngage games that i'm not playing with. Even you saved the game(s) in mass memory, the save data will be save in the phone memory. So just leave the game that you want to play and delete the others. Work for me.

That's bad, I'm afraid you can only change it for another set the place you bought if there is warranty. Sometimes when the battery is totaly empty it takes few minutes untill you can start the phone when it's on charge. If not, the only thing that might be the problem is the battery or a charger. Try to start it with another battery or charge it with another charger.

To empty your phone memory change the message storage to the mass memory. When it prompts you to keep the original messages, don't keep them. Mind that everything you receive via bluetooth stays in inbox untill you delete it. Go to your internet browser and clear the cashe, it's probably full of temporary files. Do not install anything in the phone memory only in the mass memory. The more free space the phone has, the faster it works. That's it.

please help! i have this phone.. its been working great til recently.. everytime i receive text messages it would prompt that i have low memory and that i should delete some files.. i don't have anything saved in the phone memory other than 60+kb worth of contacts and a 3kb for calender stuff, and about 180 bytes for documents.. everything else like is stored in the mass memory, but when i check the phone memory status, it shows me that i only have 150+kb worth of free memory, and for than 20mb being used.. can someone please help?? what's going on with the memory?? thanks in advance!!

I updated a few days ago to V21.0.008. The phone is now no longer hackable, and the update doesnt allow installing CorePlayer in the Mem Card, it has to be installed in the internal mem. Other than all that its a welcome update, havent had a single reboot even during very heavy useage and the phone handles RAM a lot better whilest multitasking.

You can download maps of the place you are going to just by browsing it, lets say at home via your own wifi (they will stay in the memory). And when you connect to the satellite the phone will ask the permission to use the network. If you choose not to use it, then you'll be able only to see your current position on the map you have previously downloaded, without the option of guided navigation. It refers to all Gps enabled phones even with external bluetooth receivers. Standalone Gps devices are using their own software with all the maps and guidance preinstalled. So if you can find gps software for a symbian with all the features in then there will not be any need to use a network.

I saw someone was asking if it is possible to use the GPS Feature on this device, Well it is POSSIBLE! But it will be costly if you want to use it on the go.Because in order to be tracked by the satelite , your device need internet connection which can be made by either using your wireless Wi-Fi or by your using intrenet via your provider. Sorry, man, but every third person is asking the same question over and over again. Why don't you read back few pages. As this is a Symbian smartphone, all files, whether it's a text messages or files received via bluetooth, are going to messages, but not directly to the mass memory. This handset has a phone memory along with your 8gb. So, thinking logicaly, you need to check the phone memory first. It's obviously full. To empty it, save your files already received via bluetooth to the mass memory and delete them from messages. Transfer pictures, video, music etc to the mass memory. Clear the cache of your web browser. After you did all that do the simplest. Go to Messaging/Options/Settings/Other and change the Memory in use from the phone to mass memory. And never again save or install anything on the phone memory if you want the device to work fast and stable.

Firs of all, what do you mean? It has Nokia maps application (you can download actual maps and navigation help over the air by wifi or GPRS automaticaly by browsing the place you are going to). But there is no build in GPS chip. To connect to the sattelite and to see your actual position on the map you will need external bluetooth GPS receiver. Thats not bad 'cause you are going to have much faster and more stable communication with a sattelite, and save the battery on your phone. External bluetooth GPS receivers are the size of a matchbox, so it's not a problem to carry it.

N81 has better loudspeaker than N82. N81 is even better than N82 as a music and gaming device.

The loudspeaker is done to replace the earpeace during the conversations and to play the ringtone. The rest is optional. And it's definetely not designed for enjoying high quality music. Use headphones or connect your N 8... to the amplifier with a subwoofer to hear the "hint" of bass. What do you want from such a small speakers? To shake your guts? I'm done. Thank you.

this is barely opinion-based but i'm telling you this, my friend owns this phone and the loudspeakers are...lousy. Aside from the low volume., the sound is so shrill. There isn't even a hint of bass sound or richness in its sound. Sounds are sharp to the ears and dull to listen at. I don't know why some bash n82 loudspeakers. I'm not a pro-N82 or a bias here but n82 obvioulsy sound better through loudspeakers.

There are no such preinstalled tools in N81 8gb. But I'm sure you can find third party applications to do that. Actualy, there is no need of defragmenting, it's flash memory that is used, not a hard disk. The phone is fast even when the mass memory is full. Just make sure that the phone memory is empty. When you install and then remove an application, some files are still left in the phone memory. When there are to many of them, that's the only reason why the phone slows down and is not stable. No defragmentation is needed for me, I just format everything and use it like a new again.

The same phones. The difference is that one has build in 8gb memory (not upgradable, but you will not need more). Another has a memory card slot and comes with 2 gb card (you'll have to buy another card in case 2gb isn't enought for you), and has a choice of different colours. That's it.

Yes, if you don't mind the downgrade of the camera and its quality. Its speakers are superb but not as loud as your n73 right now but n81-8gb has more sound quality than n73. the battery is good enough. The internal phone memory is only 20mb and the mini hard disk is obviously 8gb. Its up to you if you will follow my advice.

It's very fast for a symbian phone. You can fill the memory with songs, pics and it's still fast. Just make sure you close the applications you are not currently using. Mind that it's not data that slows the phone, but applications you've installed, especialy java. You may notice a gallery slowing down when the memory is full, but the true symbian users are using file explorers. Who cares about attractive interface?

ive been using n91 for all my life and its weight is the least that i notice. actually, its just right that n91 be a little bit heavier than other phones since its only nseries which is made of metal and stainless steel, but n81 which is all plastic to be that heavy is weird.

I think n91 is heavy. One may not have much trouble operating it in the hand, but its a nightmare in the pocket. To make matters worse, its weight isnt evenly distributed. N93i which has the same weight feels lighter.

I have a question. I read a review of the 6210 navigator at smape.com and it was said that it has the same audio quality as n81. The RMAA tests done at mobile-review confirm that they are quite close. (wierd!) Can anyone who has had hands-on experience with both devices confirm how they sound please?

N91 is the best through headset, but it has a really bad battery, a bad keypad, software issues and is really heavy. For music through headset, get n81. Its more stable and firmware updates give it the same music quality as n91 (for those outside europe). For music through speakers, get the 5800xm. It is the loudest nokia phone at the moment in this area. It also has very good audio quality through the headset as well. Just slightly below n81, but better than say 5310xm.

Hi Noname Apparently the N96 and N81 are currently the best at sound, in that case if i can il get a N96, otherwise im now considering the N95-8GB due to its good price and great Hardware. Ive become fond of watching movies on my N81 and think the N95-8GB will be even better to watch movies on due to its 3D hardware acceleraters supporting VGA 30FPS Video Acceleration. The N81 is perfect for you then. Its fast and very reliable. Yes Wi-Fi can be used for anything relating to connecting to the internet. The N81 has fantastic sound quality, great loudspeakers, a lot of RAM to multitask etc. . . .this is far better than a N73.

The equalizer of N81 is only 5-band. It can't achieve a good sound effect by tweaking the equalizer. N91, which has 8-band equalizer, can make a song sounds like pop, jazz, acoustic, rock, hiphop, rnb. But in the case of N81 you can't do it. No matter how you tweak the equalizer you can't make the song sound like jazz or pop, etc.

N81 still has an update coming, V30 im sure is in the works since the N81 is still the Ngage phone being used to test Ngage games by developers and major tech magazines like NAG, who do all Ngage game reviews on N81, NOKIA are certainly not done with this beauty yet.

What do you mean not huge? The differences between the n78 and n79 are many. Better egronomics, better quality materials, better keypad, better select keys, better looks, isnt a fingerprint magnet like n78, lighter weight, keypad lock, tv-out, lens cover, 5mp camera, video at 30fps, accelerometer, at least 10 n-gage demos with an unlock code for one game, xpress-on covers, bright dual led light for video recording, 4gb card in the retail package, need i go on? The n79 is simply an n85 in a candybar form. If you want to talk about the n78, do it in the n78 forum. Stop coming here or the n79 forum.

n78 and n79 are just the same phones. it is just that n79 has 5mp camera, and tv-out plus 32mb ram more. but basically they're the same phones! the gap between them is not that huge. n78 is meant to be mass marketed that's why the price and feature sets suggest so. n81 is not that's why it has a certain market niche only. n81 is not better than n78. n78 may have lost to n81 when it comes to music and gaming, but n78 beats n81 in camera, gps, hsdpa, battery life hands down. n78 is a better buy than n81 because n78 is better than n81!

It's hard to rely on ratings when they can easily be manipulated, especially by fanboys. Just go to the N78 forum. You'll find more complaints there than there are in this forum. BTW I've had a feel of the N78 in my local shop. Indeed, it does feel cheaper. And music playback via headphones sound like a cheap MP3 player. After listening to 2 songs, my ears hurt. But the camera is as good as N73's.

how many times will i have to tell you that n96 has no touch sensitive naviwheel! all it has is the naviwheel breathing, not the actual naviwheel. and also, vga 30fps video recording on n96 is fake! the highest video quality is set to 352x288 px @ 15fps only. try to record a video with quality setting set to high, then check the details of the recorded video, its CIF not VGA!!! and also the frame rate is not comparable to a 30fps. the current v10 firmware and processor of n96 cannot support VGA 30fps video recording! if you still dont believe, then go a cellphone shop and try it for yourself!

LOL! Oh thats funny NOW you're making dumb excuses! Actualy buying a Garmin or TomTom device can cost as little as R1500 and a Lil Sony digi cam for R2500, thats only R4000 spent yet n78 is R4300. ATLEAST if i buy a Garmin i get Superior and exact GPS positioning in less than a second, and if i buy a lil Sony digicam i get optical zoom and far better pictures and can still listen to superior audio music in my N81 and play games that are at PS1 level rather than carry around my heavy PSP. Atleast its justifiable to get N81 since audio is louder and better quality than a iPod Nano, and because its lighter, and smaller than a PSP and still offers great gaming, and ON TOP OF THAT i can buy an external BT GPS Reciever at just R500 and have a very quick and exact GPS position in my N81. So i guess you've read what the guys said below, indeed the n78 is the buggiest and worst midiocre Nseries with no solid market, N79 here i come :-P forget poor n78

N96 does have naviwheel and records at 30fps. Have you read the review? They even posted a video sample. N96 isnt really buggy as compared to n78. Its main problem is a few restarts, but is fine overall (software wise). I havent heard/seen any other problems from the n96 forum. As for the n78, well...just go to the n78 forum and see the complaints. Im not sure how many have been fixed by the firmware. As for the unruly n78 supporters shoving their solution down every other nokia phone forum (n81, n79, n82, n85, n95, n95 8gb, n96), stop it. We know you love your phone. Just stop going to other forums and dissing every phone that isnt n78. It is very childish. Every phone has its strengths and weaknesses. Why dont you instead try and help those who want to learn more about the device or those who actually need help?!

If you'd rather buy an iPod Nano and PSP to replace a N81, then it would make sense to just buy a Garmin SatNav Device, a proper Digi SLR Camera or Sony Cyber-Shot 7.2mp digicamera than get a N78 lol!! Atleast the N81 is known to be better than an iPod Nano at sound and FAR more practical than a PSP SO it makes sense to get it. Ive got a PSP and now hardly play it. CIF @ 15fps makes more sense than VGA @ 15fps that the n78 got. A larger res with a low frame rate just doesn't look good. The N96 is as fast as a N95, ive used both N96 and n78. The N96 is a nice quality product unlike the latter which is a public testing of the waters unit. Now run a long back to n78 creaky forum, lots of complaints waiting to be solved yet here you are trying to justify why a poor product like n78 should be bought over a niche product like N81. Sad. Go help the n78 users.

It actualy wasnt going to cost more to put a LED flash or a 240x320 decent resolution. But they chose to keep that and 352x416 for their top devices. The N91's TI OMAP arm9 cpu has a DSP and does do some processing a long side the Toshiba DAC33 chip, everyone knows that. Lol if you felt the n78 was so great then you wouldn't be here talking trash, you'd be helping the other n78 users who are having problems with that buggy device, theres so many users complaining about it, and yes it is cheaper built than a N81. You ex s40 users are realy making me laugh though.

if autofocus shoulda been added to n91's camera, as well as 352x416px screen, 30fps video, then these woulda been added to n91's already hefty price tag! i guess you don't know anything about marketing. n91 was the first s60 3rd edition device to be developed but it took a almost a year for it to be released after its announcement. n81 is not a phone. it's a toy! it's cheap. n78, for your info, is solidly built except for the lil shaky back cover. but n81 feels more cheap to hold than n78. n81 in this age and time is really outdated. and another thing to note is that the arm9 processor has nothing to do with audio output reproduction on n91. the job is done by a dac not by the cpu. only phones without dac rely on their cpu for audio reproduction.

The fact that you say the N91 and N81 use the same hardware already indicates lack of knowledge. N91 uses an old TI OMAP1750 220mhz CPU, whereas N81 uses a Freescale I.MX31 369mhz CPU. What N81 improves on is little and doesnt matter? Yep thats an ignorant statement. N81 has better battery life, larger display, better screen resolution, better ergonomics, better size, better UI, much faster interface, more RAM to multitask, better memory management, better Web browsing etc. . .but offcourse the above dont matter hey? Only music quality? Lol! Actualy the 3250 was the 1st S60v3 device. N91 was announced 1st and took a lot of delays,so the 3250 was officialy the 1st S60v3 to be released with a fully functional s60v3 UI. Actualy QVGA 30FPS video recording was already here in the SE W900, and a few other devices before N91. Cif 15fps was disgusting and extremely midiocre. N91 had a 2mp camera with no Autofocus, no LED flash and a very basic UI, there were already music phones with better cameras. NOKIA put the poor old 176x220 s60v2 resolution on N91 yet were putting 352x416 resolution in their N90 and other flagships. Yep N91 had Wi-Fi but so did N80 and N93 soon after. So no the N91 wasnt realy amazing, im suprised someone who claims to know so much about S60 has made so many mistakes. If you open your eyes you'll realise that N91 already added enough and theres not much else that can be added on top but rather IMPROVEMENTS that have been made, many of you seem too focused on new features instead of IMPROVING the ones we already have, thats what N81 did, and its a great improvement, with an extremely stable and nearly bug free UI, my N81 hardly ever if at all restarts, freezes or slows down. It does EVERYTHING its meant to do PROPERLY as a Smartphone, and Entertainment device, the N91 couldnt, it was great at Music and thats it, even if it had alot of new features it couldnt do them all properly, and its low battery life made it nearly useless. Same is the case of N95 and N85. The N85 is an improvement on N95s mistakes. Yes i know what 1st means. It means BUGS BUGS BUGS and loads of mistakes! Thought you knew that? Yes N81 is plasticky but thats what ALL the current Nseries devices are like, N96, N78, etc. . . All use similar materials, in fact the N78 seems to be using cheaper materials. The N91 was indeed the best at sound quality, it showed us that Smartphones are more than just boring business devices, it showed that Smartphones can also be great at multimedia (music) and for that i have lots of respect for the N91, it paved the way for Music Smartphones and im happy about that but the N91 was nothing special, and s60 regulars waited for the N80 and passed the N91 because it just didnt much else properly and had an old screen resolution. Now please go back to your N91 Forum and carry on praising it there. :)

to the one with the big problem.... just a point of clarification... The reformatting is done by pressing and holding the asterisk key, number 3 key, and the green call receiver key.. Press and hold them before you turn-on the device and don't let go until the country selection appears. that ought to do it.

Lol, N81 was released November 2007, its only rivals being the Samsung i450, SE W910, Moto Z6w and E6. Now looking at all those competitors the N81 was CLEARLY ahead and didnt need things like GPS and 3.2mp camera. I dont understand why you're here trippin kdsf. Its as if those poor kids who weren't able to afford a Nseries finaly got a chance to get a N78 and now they think they own the best thing ever made. Power is a strange thing, give it to the wrong people and they make fools out themselves, thats what NOKIA did with N78, they put GPS and a midiocre Camera and now its little users think they're on top. Lol great MP3 players are the ones that play FLAC, WMA Lossless etc. . .like the Zune 30GB, even iRiver makes great audio players, and Cowon, Creative have amazing audio players, thats what you buy if you want true audio quality. The N91 has a reputation for being extremely limited even for its time a true Symbian S60 knows the N91 was a useless smartphone thats why they bought N80 or N93. The N81 is not outdated compared to its competitors, its still a great fully fledged Gaming & Music Smartphone with other talents, it still passes as a great smartphone with enough RAM to multitask, great loudspeakers, great for Audio Books, great battery life, amazing for Web Browsing, etc. . . Clearly im dealing with imature ex s40 users who finaly got a chance to touch a s60 lol.

no you don't have to buy an n91! it's been in the market for the longest time already and it has achieved its status as a reputable and ultimate music phone till now. and neither n91 users need to buy an n81. it's pointless! the drawbacks you are stating on n91 are excusable knowing that this phone was created 3 years ago where mobile technology was still immature. but n81's outdatedness considering that it's just one of the most recent phones around is unforgivable! what other portable mp3 players around you know that can beat or at least has the same level of sound quality of n91? kindly exclude all ipods, they all sound crappy. now can you at least name one and i'll try it for myself?

Its a true Nseries because it actualy has a proper positioning as a Music & Gaming phone and is the best at it. Thats the Nseries for you all have a proper market position and are the best in it, well except theres one Nseries being used as a market test dummy and a few months after its release its successor was announced, not mentioning its name because its users are so emotional and hell bent on convincing themselves that its a good phone lol! Anyway seems like N81 is still selling a lot of units, due to it being such a great device, the N96, N79 and N85 are going to the same im sure, i dont know about that other cheap and creaky Nseries though lol.

Yes you can create folders. Its a fantastic phone! Very versatile, the extra keys you get with it allow use in any orientation you want it, be it landscape or portrait. Its a very stable phone, runs extremely smooth, has amazing audio quality, it can multitask without slowing down, i ran just over 10apps at once and it just kept its speed. The keypad is great, very easy to use, nothing is loose. With latest firmware it has the complete FP2 Menu Transitions and Effects, its well built no creaky covers or anything, it has long battery life due to its 1050mAh Li-Polymer battery which are the best quality batteries available plus it has On-Demand-Paging for less power consumption and less RAM consumption. Its the best for Gaming and Music currently, it does both plus others VERY WELL, the way its supposed to withov any glitches. Its a great Multimedia device, you'll enjoy it, i'd also look at 6210-Nav, 5320xm,6220c,N96, N79 and N85 since both those are the only FP2 devices worth getting. :)

Excuse me, but TRUE AUDIOPHILES wouldn't want their music processed or anything, so they wouldn't use a N91 either. In the latest Nseries the N81 is the best at audio, i wouldn't buy a N91 just to listen to music. If i was a true audiophile i would get something thats especialy made for extreme high quality audio,and no phone can produce that. The people who use a N91 are not true audiophiles, just "wanna be's". The N91 was useless at everything else, couldnt even run Web and a large Document at the same time without closing something down. Its main purpose was to be a smartphone but couldn't do that.

n81 can only wish it had the same audio quality of n91! when you owned an n91 and used it as your main music player for 3 years, it's hard to downgrade to another music phone as much as sound quality is concerned. no arguments can change the fact that n91's sound quality is much better than n81's! n81 is just a "should've, would've, could've been" device! it always has a sense of incompleteness!

The N81 has far better audio quality than a N78. The N76 certainly has amazing audio quality, it even has true bass in its loudspeakers. The N81 and N91 share the same Toshiba DAC33 audio chip hence why both weigh quite a bit, the difference is the DSP. The N91 has a Texas Instruments DSP in its CPU which is running at 220mhz, whereas N81 has a StarCore SC140e DSP running at 250mhz and the CPU running at 369mhz.

Just realised that the 5320XM is the N81's "younger brother" lol, its also a Gaming and Music phone, just like how the 6220c is the lighter version of the N82. okay, get miserable with your n81. sooner or later you'll feel the need to change that phone. while n78 users like me are content with what our phones can offer. this phone is so much better than what you are calling music and gaming flagship device! and don't tell me that n78 is not good at anything. it produces better pics than n73, better sound quality than n82, longer battery life than n81, faster gps lock than n82/n95. and don't make your statements so conclusive. n78 will still undergo many firmware revisions. it's too early to tell what this phone can become.

No my boy. The N81 is a Music and Gaming Flagship so it makes sense to be named a Nseries, just like the N92 and N77, which are also niche devices. If you look at the history of Nseries you'd understand that each Nseries is aimed at a certain part of the market. N81 Music and Gaming, N82 Imaging, N95 All in One Covergance Multimedia Imaging device, N96 Music,and Video, and the N78. . . .nothing, just thrown in as a test unit. HSDPA, and GPS are not worth the hype you throwing around them, if the N81 was TOTALY missing 3G then it would be understandable why you're b1tching about it, its already got Wi-Fi and at the time of its announcement HSDPA wasnt as widely implemented as it is now.

i have no problem with my n78 fm transmitter. what do you expect? ...that it will broadcast your music in the entire city? it works up to 3 meters. good enough to listen to the songs stored in my phone in our home stereo system wirelessly. and for the record, n85 as reviewed in some russian site has been reported to have the same fm transmitter performance as n78. it loses signal in longer distances. so, n78 and n85 are just equal in this field. about the fp2 thing, n78 is quite buggy but i'm sure new firmware releases are on the way to aid that. even n96 which is the nth fp2 device now is still buggy! fp2 is not only about menu transitions! n81 may already have that themes effect ala fp2 but i doubt that will have the full fp2 suite! there are so many improvements done on fp2 to make this user interface fully usable. you'll never see it until you get to have a true fp2 device! do most consumers like me care about market niche at all? n78 does everything your n81 can do and even a whole lot more! lack of accelerometer doesn't hinder this phone to be used in landscape mode either. just when i bought this phone, its price was even lower than n81 8gb's price and i can surely say that this was a very wise decision and great deal to buy this phone, knowing that it has everything n81 has plus all other features that makes a true smartphone complete! the only things n81 has over n78 are just minor details. i can get away without them anyway! my point is buying this phone when its price fell dramatically 2 weeks ago is really a smart decision considering that there were a lot of other more expensive handsets that offer less functionalities. but anyway, you can't buy it at 290 dollars anymore because its price has gone up to 370 dollars now!

look dudes n78 design is the best, n82 looks very cheap in the plastic all over it! N81 has this light leak everywhere! N78 has all of the best N-series features : 3.2 MP Carl zeiss auto focus cam, WLan, GPS, Fm transmitter, too loud stero speakers, fast bluetooth, 1200ma battery, 3g, navi wheel, light sensor, up to 8gb memory card! Symbian os 9.3 feature pack 2 which a whole new world in the gallery!! has n-gage support that will be realsed soon by the time those two devices n79 n85 realsed! So no other device has all those features! It have it all except TV OUT ONLY! So it can be ALL IN ONE DEVICE! Thanks. I was thinking of getting the n85, but i heard it wasnt as loud as n81. Am not sure how true that is. I saw the n85 review at mobile-review. Its total harmonic distortion didnt look too good; it might affect the bass effect negatively. If thats the case then its n81 for me. I really enjoyed the little time i spent with it plus its much cheaper. I dont need a gps and there's no hspda over here. The wi-fi hotspots are starting to increase. Anyway, i will wait for the gsmarena n85 review before making my final buying decision.

Dan 5700XM is a great device. I was looking at getting one mid-last year until the N81 was announced, then i waited until December and bought my N81. Ive now got a N81 and SE K850 and may get a iPhone3G this December, but my N81 remains my workhorse, its such reliable device, truly Multimedia Computer. A phone like N78 with missing Music Keys yet is supposed to be an allrounder certainly is bad news.

Exactly what Dan said. At the time when the N81 was announced a GPS was mainly made for the very top end devices such a HTC TyTN-II, N95, N82, E90, Samsung i780, Etc. . . These were the very premium devices, the N81 was/is aimed at the 18-25yearld who doesnt need a GPS AND doesnt care for a high quality camera, but wants a device thats primarily made HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE wise for Music, and Gaming, the N81 does extremely well in these, its a typical Nseries thats aimed at a certain niche, and performs well in it but at the same time due it being a Music and Gaming phone its extra amount of keys become useful in more apps, and enables us N81 users to comfortably use this device in the orientation you like. The NOKIA 6220c should have been named N78, and the N78 that we see now should have never been made. The N78 is just pointless, in my country both N82 and N78 dont differ that much in price. Why get a N78 when you can have a N82 which has the great Camera, plus GPS, then get N81 if you dont need those. Simple. The N79 and N85 could have nicely introduced the FM Transmitter. But i guess NOKIA needed a device that was going to be used as a Market Test Unit for FP2,and FM Transmitter. Well done N78 users you are the guinea pigs, il get a N85 or N79 thats stable, has a good FM Transmitter, stable and even better FP2, AND even better GPS, Camera and Build Quality all at your expense. Symbian fp2 mainly improves on visual transitions, not functionality. N81 has updates that give these transitions. Another issue on n78 is that it has far too many bugs. Yes, it is still new, but other fp2 and even fp1 phones didnt have as many bugs when they came out. The n78 may have a better camera and gps (which most people dont use), but thats it. And besides, why put so many things in a handset if your construction is so bad? People who pay over 200euros expect a solid handset. If they experience any unwanted moving parts before buying, they will most likely leave the phone alone no matter what kind of technology it has. In the case of the n78, its major basics are just too weak. It gets even harder because it doesnt target any particular audience. Its just a basic all-rounder thats got everything, but doesnt deliver properly on all fronts. It wont be craved for any particular reason. Other n-series devices go for a particular audience, like n82-photography, n81-music and games, n79-fashion, n96-music and video, etc. To be honest, n78 isnt particularly strong in any of these sectors. And besides, n81 is a year old. How can you compare a one year old handset to one that hasnt even lasted 6 months? How many n-series handsets at the time had things like gps? This phone was considered one of the best n-series of the last year (behind n82 and n95/n95 8gb).

Just because the N78 has a GPS, FM Transmitter and 3.2mp camera doesnt make it more fun,just makes it have more poorly implemented gimmicks. The FM Transmitter in real life use DOES NOT have a good signal The GPS is not that great at locking on to a satelite like my Nuvi. The 3.2mp camera is the worst in its class with a much smaller lens, and with that said how is it more fun with its trashy build quality? The N78 has to be held portrait get the best experience whereas a N81 can be in any orientation. Mark The results i posted are from a N78 with latest FW and N81 with its very 1st buggy V10 FW yet it was still better. In terms of software what the N78 has N81 can, N81 already has FULL Menu Transitions and Effects, the Navi-wheel thats right the hardware is now enabled in more apps. Fact of the matter, N81 is far more fun, with its hardware (Music Keys and Gaming Keys) atleast i can add a Bluetooth GPS reciever and have a better GPS, i can also add an FM Transmitter they dont cost much and the camera, if i wanted a great camera i would have gotten a N82 and not a crap N78 half baked 3.2mp which is making Carl Zeiss look bad. Everything the N78 has is half done,and half works then crashes, the N81 AS a Music, Gaming, Web, Multitasking and Video device is excellent, as said its aimed at Gaming and Music and does them THE BEST, yet N78 is not the the best at anything nor was it meant to be, its just a bunch of cheap chips slappd together in the cheapest way and offered to the suckas who buy it.

no matter what you say and whatever statistics you present, n78 is one of the best nseries! it's based on actual user experience and not just looking on specs! and i am just so lucky that i've got this phone at a very low bargain price 2 weeks ago, because n78's price is now going up. i think because the demand for this phone is now increasing. and for your information, this phone can be used in landscape mode with just a press of a button. your n81's music, gaming and lock keys do not compensate for the lack of better camera, gps, hsdpa, fm transmitter, real fp2 user interface which are all present in n78. and even if you boasts your li-polymer battery, that ain't still going to beat n78's battery life! and are you sure n78 will be stucked with buggy firmware? it's just a fresh device. i'm sure nokia will fix its bugs in the next firmware release. this phone is so much worth than n81! don't even try to compare them! you can compare it with n82, but not with n81, for heaven's sake!

The n78 is not as 'fun' as you say. I had a chance to play with a few phones for a few days. The n81, n82, n78 and 6210 navigator. When it comes to the n78, its missing multimedia keys for gaming and music, it has software issues like the restarts (which i found irritating). The keypad isnt bad. Its like the 6080, but what i didnt like is the rest of the keys e.g. The call/end keys. They are just too close to the edge. The flimsy back cover is another issue. It makes you feel as though the phone is old and is falling apart. The camera and fm transmitter were the only things i found 'fun' to use. Otherwise the other phones beat it in everything else. The 6210 was even more fun to use because of the better construction, far superior music quality, accelerometer, no software issues, etc.

Im still using the 5700 and 5310, but i plan to sell the 5310 tomorrow. I had a chance to play with the n81 for a few days. The slider is pretty steady, the keypad is decent (just like the 5310, but less stiff), its not as heavy as most people think. My hands couldnt tell the difference between the 5700 and n81. Battery is quite okay. Music is amazing, better than anything else i have ever put in my ear. The UI is just as fast and user friendly as the 5700. The games are really addictive, even though they are demos. Plus i didnt experience any software issues. To sum it up, i loved it. Multimedia unleashed!!

The N81 is boring? Excuse me but the N78 is the one MISSING gaming AND music keys! The N81 atleast can be used wonderfuly in Landscape since its Gaming keys can be activated in different apps to make using it in Landscape fun, the N78 on the other hand just has the same old keypad, when turned to landscape theres no balance your left thumb does all the work. Ever played Fifa or Asphalt on a N78 in landscape? Its useless. The N81 has a good equalizer, 5bars is enough, it gives similar audio quality to N91. Lol THE ONLY thing the old N91 can do is Music its useless at everything else lol! The N81 on the other hand was made to be multifunctional and work in ANY orientation even Up- Side-Down with the Gaming keys on N81 its easy to use. I can hold my N81 at 180 deg, or 270deg and still work with it, if i just want to listen to music i can close the keypad and just have the music keys and dpad available conviniently. The N81 is the more "fun" device to use. The N78 is a clumsy and badly built dummy for market testing, no wonder its price couldnt hold, whilest the N81 held its high premium price like a true Nseries, it does what its meant to do THE BEST IN ITS NICHE.

I got it for R4200 thats around 300 Euro, and i dont regret it, i was one of the 1st non NOKIA Employees to Walk out with a N81 before the major networks had it in my country, despite some of those reviews complaining about the plasticky build its actualy pretty solid. What phone are you using currently?

N78 better than n81, n82 and n96? I wanna know what you've been smoking coz its clearly messed with your head. At the moment, n81 is the ultimate music and gaming phone, n82 is the ultimate camera phone and n96 is the ultimate all-in-one device. N78 has serious construction flaws, badly placed buttons and really horrible looks. No wonder nokia was so quick to announce n79. In fact, nokia used n78 as a dummy to find bugs in the feature pack 2 OS. Quite a few of them were found and addressed. Thats why the other fp2 phones like 6210n, 6220c dont have the same software problems as n78. The only reason its price got lowered is because it would get mauled to death by n82 and the upcoming n79 which possess better construction, better cameras, etc. It just doesnt stand a chance.

A lot of those can be added via Firmware updates. The FM Transmitter has poor signal, there are now N81 contracts that come with a free GPS Reciever that offers far better signal than built in GPS reciever, HSDPA fair enough that is great but then again not many countries have it, those that do have low coverage and for larger downloads Wi-Fi hotspots are there, the Camera is definetly an advantage il give that to N78, the 1200mAh batt not realy, seeing some of those figures are not much higher than N81 which has become even better due to the addition of ODP to it. The N78 realy doesn't add much as ive said, and the loss of Multimedia keys is not good and realy its master at nothing, and the lower OpenGL scores given by N78 are discouraging. Its fine the N79 is worth waiting for.

Well then you'll just have to get over it. :) N81 has the Multimedia keys, the far superior audio quality, an 8GB varient, better build quality, and the better OpenGL scores, not to mention the FP2 effects that were added. Like ive said, the N78 is not an upgrade to a N81 User, rather get a N79 or the real N81 successor the N85.

The fact that the N78 is priced lower than the N81 says it all. :) AFAIK the N79 will be out by end of November just like how the N81 and N95-8GB were last year. Instead of jumping in and getting the N78 id wait for N79. The N78 OpenGL scores are all lower than N81 lol! I thought the N78 was more optimized? Guess not.

The N81 does not have built in GPS so what you'll have to do is go out and buy an external Bluetooth GPS Reciever that will connect to your N81 via BT, you already have NOKIA Maps which should allow you to use the external reciever with it. Vicdiaz Indeed its a fantastic Media device! :-)

WaLDZ Like KCostas said the buttons are big and comfy,the ones on the slide just take some getting used to, the keypad is great for writing long texts and emails only problem is that it clicks pretty loudly. That said, i think go for the E71 if you want a QWERTY keyboard business phone, but if you want Multimedia get the N81

In simple words, when you scan the available networks choose the one without a padlock next to the bars indicating the signal strenth. Thats the one without the key. If other web site opens instead the one you want it means the wlan provider wants you to pay or register.

N81 won't ask a keyword for WLAN the one who asking it must be the WLAN network dude.. find other WLAN network that require no password,charge,login name or blablabla.. enjoy it.. ^^

just open your web browser or other apps that need internet connectivity once you open it,there will be a prompt message wether you choose WLAN,3G or GPRS connectivity or easily from standby menu you can choose and press 'WLAN scanning off' it will show the available networks then you can choose the networks you want to begin browsing

Hi all, I have been trying to connect my N81 8Gb with a 'Parrot easy drive' handsfree bluetooth car kit. The car kit is a couple of years old but worked fine with my old Samsung. I was able to successively pair the N81 with the kit, and it connects automatically when i get in the car, however about 10-15 seconds later it automatically disconnects and won't reconnect. Has anyone else had similar problems with either this kit or other bluetooth devices disconnecting? Thanks

those problems you posted only apply to n78. that's a firmware related problem, not a FP2 problem. n96 which is also FP2 does not have problems like those. n85 and n79 are not even out and for sure will not have problems like that.

n78 n79 n85 are all feature pack "2" which has sveral prob: 1. Sometimes Loudspeakers doesn't work while making calls 2. The Zoom Key in The CAmera Sometimes don't respond 3. No brainwashing at all, man. That's just my own opinion. I still have my N81 8gb (don't want to change it for anything else) along with G900 and love them both. N81 is much faster than SE better wifi and so on, but SE is more complicated thus more interested in usage for me.

Regarding Chinese made N81s... I bought mine on eBay, and I found a major difference between Chinese made N81s and European devices: The Chinese devices do not appear to have WIFI or GPS capability. Check for yourself if you don't believe me...

Hi, I guess the videos you are trying to watch are in mp4 format and you're using build in realplayer. Don't think you converted the video to a smaller size and bitrate. N81 supports playing videos at high bitrates but you need to download the third party software to do this. Try to install "coreplayer". It's the best so far, supporting mp4, DivX, XviD, WMV, 3GP and plenty of audio codecs. It's got a bit complicated interface, but once you configured the settings there is no need to complicate youself anymore. If you can convert the video, go for DivX codec, and install "DivX player". It's free and very easy to use. The minimum conversion video settings for me (without losing visible quality, watching on the phone screen) are 400 kb/s video bitrate, video resolution of 320x240. Make sure to use an appropriate audio codec for your videos while converting (mp3 for DivX, XviD), (AAC for mp4). Hope this helps

actually, n81 is positioned as a gaming (the top priority) and music (second priority only) device. above anything else, it specializes on ngage gaming. music function is added to complete its purpose as an entertainment device. it offers great sound quality but it doesnt have the actual dedicated audio chip installed in n91. its a different audio chip. n91's audio chip is manufactured by texas instruments.. a device that n81 is most likely to replace is the psp. a psp has gaming function as its top priority, music playerand internet browser are just supplementary. n91 replaces the ipod. it prioritizes on music.

In the Philippines, price of N78 has already drops down to P13,900 this week. It's the most affordable Nseries as of today. N81 8GB is still P16,300 and N81 is P14,000. While the price of N82 is stable at P18,100, N95 is P19,400 and N95 8GB is P25,300. To those who will buy one of these phones in the Philippines, be guided by the current pricing.

You must quit being so parenoid. The other 50mb is used by the phones system to boot up other things like Backlighting, Navi-wheel, Stand By, and LOADS of other processes. p$kx The N81 is brilliant at multitasking, its got On Demand Paging, 41mb of RAM at boot up and is extremely stable. I usualy multitask and this phone with latest FW has been able to handle whatever throw at it. :)

hi everyone...i hard formatted my n81 8gb and reinstalled the ngage application and the metro TRK as well..but i can no longer install the security manager coz it always say "TRK not found" even i already followed the instruction...and then i tried to reinstall ngage games and it say "file is corrupted" all of it... tell me what to do..

Was just using an iPod Nano 8GB, then my PSP and now my N81 all to listen to music while waiting at the airport to board a flight, been sitting here for roughly 2hours comparing these and trying to find which il use in my flight shortly as a Music player. The N81 won, its sound really packs a punch. Its sound quality is rich, bassy, gives great treble and AMAZINGLY crisp instruments and voice. Reminds of why its said to be one of the best Music devices out. Battery still 100% ,guess i realy dont need an iPod Nano, im giving it back to my mate.

X-Plore cant read ARM11 CPUs So it displays the 192mhz as default CPU speed. PhoNetInfo shows 369mhz. Kenzo Its a TOSHIBA DAC33 Sound Chip, im pretty sure it can handle your headphones.

Problems with this phone(i know because i had one and now my second, which i regret.) navi wheel is bad and doesnt always work well especially in changing temperatures or being on for too long. The gaming buttons have the tendency to crack The slider goes loose and also scratches the cheap plastic film on the keypad. The cheap black plastic creeks a lot when texting etc and scratches fast ( i got my second one already scratched before i even used it) The buttons go stiff or over sensitive Camera is pathetic and video recording max is 320x240, the 640x480 stated on the nokia site is a lie. There is light leakage everywhere around the buttons and edges of the slider and usb port especially in the gallery where all the lighting is on for media keys etc. Buttons can be peeled off when you stick your nail down through the edge. I could go on....

N82, N95 and N95-8gb have a DSP but their sound is not as good as N81. The N96 as far as i know has a similar DSP DAC33 as the N81.

What are u talkin about man??? W960 has wifi and touch screen and a bigger screen and it has a better keys and buttons and a 3.2 mega pixel camera. So dont be blabbin bout stuff u dont know... I am thinkin of buyin this phone but only coz where i come from w960 is 200 quid more expensive than n81 8gb.The only xtra that n81 has over w960 is the 3.5mm jack.but still the whole idea of having the adaptor is to have the fm radio antenna on it and the extenal mic so u can use them with all headphones coz if ur really a music fan u never use the standard phone headphones. But if im travellin to a country where w960 is more price adequate i will definitely get it over n81. theses are all facts but for fairness sake i did try the n81 music with my own headphones and it was excellent.just as good as ipod and sony erricson walkman.So finally nokia has caught up and made a fine music phone. But im betting that the standard headphones are not so good.

You need to update your firmware to V20. The N81 can do all that with V20 FW. Stefanus No the N81 does not slow down,it works very well with transitions and other effects.

I bought N81 8GB in March 08. So far, this phone has been working perfectly albeit there are a few limitations which needs to be come around by Nokia; Hopefull in their new and forthcoming models. I have put some of them below: 1. It has limitations for video streaming. I tried to play a video from youtube, but after approximately 15 seconds it stopped working. It may be because of the processor speed, which tends to be higher in the flagship models such as E90 or N96. 2. Internet browsing experience might not be as perfect as that in Apple iPhone. N81 8GB does not quite support slideshow-based applications such as slideshow albums in flickr. I tried to open flickr from the in-device browser but only the webpage appeared on the screen, not the slideshow. However, I would provide with a 7.3 as an overall rating for this device. If there is anyone who owns an N81 8GB and like to share his/her experience, you are gladly welcome to do so. Thank you, Manna

Mine is made in Finland and had EMEA firmware with EU Volume Reduction but i flashed it with APAC firmware and now the EU Restriction is gone and its louder. I think you should try getting one from Indonesia or Philipenes.

Thats great man. Im actualy a black South African (part coloured though) i look mixed race. But i can understand afrikaans since i take it as my 2nd Additional 1st Language at school. Ye thats very true, the N81 is a great entertainment phone,and unlike some of the others it does what its meant to do the best. During daylight outdoors its camera performs well and thats all i need, for serious photography ive got a SONY 6.1MP Cyber-Shot Digicam as well as my SE K850 if i want to take night pics and dont wana carry a digi cam.

many people criticize n81 because they believe every nseries phone must be a n95 wannabe. but i don't think so. n81 is positioned as a music and gaming phone whose targeted audience are music freaks and game addicts. i believe a music phone don't need much of great imaging powers! i'm a music aficionado and i care the least on camera. for me n81 is the best music phone released to date, much better than n91. i'm definitely going to buy one again especially now that price has come down.

I had n81 8gb for about a month and i can say in overall, it's great... my only gripe about it is that it dosen't have lock as in whenever you turn on the power of the phone, it only has lock if a change in sim card is detected... The disadvantage of the n81 8gb is that when it is spoilt and being sent for repair, most probably you must delete all your personal media if you do not want anyone to view it---it lacks a card slot. here, the n81 micro sd version is better. But on the other hand, n81 8gb good as you can lock the phone in standby screen through the power button---one must know your password if not it cannot be used and view and send stuff inside it(except for n81 micro sd version as people can take out the micro sd and insert into another phone). So it is up to you which one you want...

look man, this phone, i wont never change it. It has better internet browser, really it is so much better! And the navi wheel works almost everywhere! And also it is so soft to use, unlike the n81 where the wheel is so hard to press on! Really u have to try it!! And what really upset me is that n78 don't have gaming keys and no ngage support available yet but i can wait!! Everything else is so dam perfect, and about the music keys i can find in the headset!!

It lagggggs, it is sh*t!|!!!!!! i bought a n78, it is the perfect phone ever made!!! 1. it has a 3.5G which is lot faster than n81 2. the sound!!!! the n78 has a clearer sound than n81!! 3. the browser is lot much better than that sh*t n81 4. it is more upgraded; it has OS9.3 feature pack 222222 5. it is much better in the camera and don't say anything about the lens!!!! N78 doesn't have TV OUT, and if you are in India and in some other M-EAST Countries the FM Transmitter is disabled.

Those who are considering the N78 keep in mind that in some regions like the Middle-East countries the FM Transmitter has been removed or disabled due to laws against Radio Transmitters. It sounds like a great feature i must say,but its not enough for me to get a N78, ive got my N81 and K850 for now and waiting on the XPERIA to come along, i wana get the Black one. Chaitanya Yep try updating, V20.0.056 maybe available for your product code. Tell me what your product code is and il check for you. You'll find it in your N81 under the battery. Look for sumthn that says CODE: Give me that number.

Ive played with a N78,and 1st thing i did was try the Music since it was connected to a NOKIA headset in store. I agree with r.o.c.k that its sound is far better than N82. But the N81 is still a lot better, its more crisp,louder and way more bassy. Although i can say N78 was good,it wasnt good enough for some whos had a N91 or N81 IMO. R.o.c.k You must love the N81,you keep coming back.

To Chaitanya, Honestly, N78 is a lot better than N82 in terms of sound quality. The bass and treble are much deeper, and more pronounced. I've never had N81 'cause I don't like that phone. N78 is really fun to use as a music player. It's complete with all music options - 8-band equalizer, album art, visualization, support of all major audio codecs, ability to play music via any type of headphones using the 3.5mm jack, ability to be hooked to your home stereo system, play music using the stereo speakers and last but certainly not the least, ability to play music to any FM radio receiver using the FM transmitter which is really fun. I can ask my circle of friends to tune in their phone's fm radio to my defined station and I will broadcast my music collection and they enjoy listening to it. Hi Noname It sounds like they gave you a faulty phone, take it back and demand a new one. For the navi-wheel to work in Contacts and Messaging you need to update your N81's firmware to V20. Nilesh Hi there,its definetly worth it. Its competitors are: SAMSUNG i450, Sony Ericsson W910 and Sony Ericsson W960. The N81 is better than ALL of them and its been proven in many tests and reviews. Its great for watching movies on, i watch some Podcasts of tv shows that ive missed and i even load some movies for when i travel. It plays videos at 30FPS very well, especialy in CorePlayer app. Go for it. Celladik Thanx man, ye its a great app for even a 5700 and N91 as well.

Hi all, theres a great app at IPMART called MagicKey. Its a great app for all N81, N95, N95-8GB, and N96 users. Since these 4devices are the proper Multimedia Devices of the Nseries they offer Multimedia and Gaming keys, so what MagicKey does is help re-map these keys in different apps eg: let you use the Music keys on N95 as Ngage Gaming keys as well. Im able to play even non-Ngage games with the gaming keys in landscape on my N81, im also able to use the Music and Gaming keys in portrait or landscape in the Web browser to manage and navigate a web page, as well as use the Music keys as extra gaming,texting,browsing, etc. . .keys. This means you will hardly ever have to slide out the keypad unless you need to dial a number or write a long text message, you can use the N81 in closed mode nearly everything with this app. Thats what makes slider phones so much better than average candy bar mid-ends. Look for this app: MagicKey.

To those people planning to buy N81, pls hold your nerve. Don't buy N81. If you can shed a few bucks more for extra useful features like better camera, better video, better music experience, GPS, HSDPA, better battery life and better software, then buy N78. It's really worth it.

N81 does not sell in my country even when it was first released. And now, people are stirred with 6220c and N78. They have completely snobbed N81. A phone without HSDPA is completely an outdated device and should be priced 150 euros if it has to sell a lot. Nobody wants to spend money for a phone that has no HSDPA at least when there are plenty of other options that have better specs that are almost in the same price range. If N81 is priced like 5700, then it will be the best-selling midrange phone ever. This phone costs so much more than 5700 because of wifi and cramped extra keys alone. The N78 pricing is much more reasonable knowing that it almost has everything. Well unless, you want to waste money anyone can always buy N81 if it's still available. But I don't see many N81's in stock in cellphone stores in my country anymore. I don't see a lot of people holding a N81 either. Because for N81's price, you can already buy a 5MP camera phone with DVD like video recording, has HSDPA, GPS, TV-out - 6220c. Or add a few bucks if you want an almost complete set - N78.

Im guessing the 8GB hasn't sold that much, the MicroSD must have sold a lot more because the N81-8gb was realy overpriced whereas the MicroSD was priced correctly for what you get. I dont think the 8GB has been discontinued though. Exceptional APAC is Firmware for Asia. Yep its Louder. The EURO (EMEA) firmware contains the EU Volume Reduction whereas APAC doesn't, so APAC FW makes it louder.

You make me laugh LOL! You've now said the most silly things ive ever heard. The keypad of N78 is better than N81 LMFAO!!! Ive tried a N78 and i know for a fact that its keys are worse than a N82. The N81 keys are flat but big and give great tactile feedback. The equaliser bands don't even matter, the N81 does not need so much equaliser editing. The ONLY thing that made N91 a little better is because it didnt have EU Volume Restriction, ive now got a N81 with APAC Firmware and its seriously loud, on par with a N91. LOL! N81 keypad lighting uneven, mine is very even so what in the world are you talking about? Are you reading some test unit review and blabbing about it here? In that case get out of here you're a waste. :-) the N78s backlighting tends to shine through some edges aswel. You Seem to be very ignorant, i bought the N81 in December, NOT ONLY FOR MUSIC its a great ALLROUND entertainment device with dedicated Multimedia keys BUT with an emphasis on Music, Gaming and Video, doesn't mean it can't do more. As a N81 owner for arounnd 9months now i see NO POINT in getting a N78, its not realy better its just got the poorest 3.2mp camera, an average GPS and ye HSDPA but most of us use Wi-Fi. So if i got a N78 i wouldnt gain much if anything at all. The N81 looks far better than a N78 MOST if not ALL agree with that. N81 is one of the best looking Nseries devices out. LOL 140g heavy? Whats wrong? Are you weak? The N81 is not heavy. Its also smooth. It maybe longer than a N95,but its thinner, and not as wide as a N95. Must be terrible to watch a movie on a N78, its so long, and the loudspeakers are poorly positioned in landscape, atleast i can simply close my N81, and il have the Multimedia keys (Rewind, Pause, Stop, FastForward right) right there and not have to use the dpad. :-)

I like the design of N78 more than N81. N78 is thinner and a lot lighter in weight. The design is very elusive. And I like the look of the front view. It is very neat. You won't notice the alphanumeric labels when the backlight is turned off. On the other hand, N81 maybe short when slide close, but when you slide it open, it appears to be a monster. It's very long, even longer than N95. And it's very heavy considering it's plastic all over. I would prefer the N78 keypad than N81. At least, N78 doesn't have a flat keypad. N81's keypad is actually harder to use. And the backlighting of the keypad is so uneven which spoils the design. Even the edges of the phone illuminates when the backlight turns on.

The ui of n81 is similar to n78. You never had n78 so you think that fp2 is all about themes effect. You turn off themes effect and compare the n81 and n78 ui. It's like comparing windows 2000 with windows vista! I don't see any point of buying N81 for a premium price. It's not even near close of n91's audio quality. The equalizer is only 5-band just like n7x. N81 is the most boring of all current phones. You should not pay 400 euros just for music alone. No matter what angle you look at it, it's really not worth it. I can't even think why I come up with this idea of comparing N78 with N81. N81 is only a crippled version of N78. Pls don't buy N81 or else you're gonna regret it.

No it's not a lot better :-) . LOL! The best 3.2mp camera!!? No sorry thats not true. The N78's camera lense and sensor is smaller than the sensor found in the 2mp SE K750, W800, W900 and P990, and is A LOT smaller than the N73, K800 and K810's, images taken by N73 and K810 look FAR better, so NO. ACTUALY the N78 is using the cheapest 3.2mp camera unit, with a 4.6mm focal length its quality is nearly as poor as the N80 3mp fixed focus camera. Like i said the N78 has average things thrown in to it, its just a mixed bag made for any average joe that wants an all in one package for a low price. The N81 is a niche device aimed specificaly at an audience that dont need GPS, and dont care for a high MP camera, but want a Smartphone that combines High Audio Quality withan amazing sonic experience, great Ngage Gaming in landscape, good Movie player and amazing internet capabilities. Like i said in terms of entertainment the N81 and N78 are not realy different if at all, the N78's camera is very average for a 3.2mp. The N81 with the V20 FW is very similar to a N78 in UI, realy not much seperating these two. Rather get a N82 if you dont like a N81 or vice versa. Dan It seems so,but yes the N81 is more bassy and is slightly louder. Its got an amazing treble/bass balance.

I have been using this phone for about a month now, and I simply adore it.... Iloved the 2.4inch 16M LCD, beside that I love the web browising experience and the music is great too. I do agree with the review of gsm guys that the only flaw in this phone is the camera, which is reasonable for a 2M and the keypad, otherwise its fun using this phone.

Very biased opinion it is to say that N81 and N78 don't differ much in image quality but only in image resolution. N81 has the worst 2MP camera from a Symbian phone. N78 has the best 3.2MP camera backed up by a professional optics and lens, from a Symbian phone. And you will say they don't differ much? Then I would say, an average person wouldn't hear much difference in audio quality between N81 and N78! It's very much easier to spot the difference in image quality than audio quality. N81 should've been named N7x and N78 has all the rights to be an N8x. Anyways, that's just labelling. What matters most is N78 is clearly a lot better than N81 in every aspect.

Found some info about n79 and n85. Apparently the release date is the 18th of August. Check out this site. By the way, could you please tell me the difference between the 5310 and n81 in terms of sound quality. Ihear they are almost the same when it comes to maximun volume,but the n81 has more bass. Is this true?

Tnx 4 ur reply tsepz but i have already cleared my web browsers cache and my messages are stored on my memory card. below are d applications showing on d app mgr dat is installed on my phone memory: 1) Open C LIBSSL - 416kb 2) Nokia Internet Support Package 1 - 1kb 3) Mobile Security (F-Secure)- 249kb 4) Mobile Security Subcomponents - 98kb 5) License Manager - 290kb 6) Discover N-Gage SP - 27kb 7) Symbian OS PIPS - 247kb 8) Share online Upgrade - 1kb 9) Vodafone live! - 27kb items 1 & 2 - are they applications included upon having installed N-Gage on my memory card? if not,what are they & can i delete dem? items 3 & 4 - i want 2 retain. it cannot be transferred on my memory card. item 5 - what is it? can i delete? item 6 - is it d trial n-gage included on d package? items 7 & 8 - what are they?can dey b deleted? item 9 - ? if you would notice, above applications only indicates kb size. so how can my phone mem details show 16mb mem in use and 8650kb free memory, wid only 742b - calendar, 71kb contacts, and 180b - documents? mesages,image,sound files & video clips show 0. pls help!

Oh please. Like Jon said and ive said there is not much difference between these phones. Fact is the N81 is the current Ngage and Music Flagship Nseries so it deserves to be a N8x. Whereas the N78 is just a mid-range where they threw in a lot of average things the FM Transmiter being the only big feature and they made the UI look good. NOKIA no exactly what they're doing. mbbm Clear your web browsers cache, move Messages to memory card and make sure nothing is installed on the internal mem.

but im still worried of d phones internal memory which already indicates 16mb being used.im just afraid dat it may hang anytym soon.any suggestions on how 2 free some space on d internal memory of d 2gb phone?

There's no need for you to swap for N81 8GB version. You can buy a cheap 8GB (or maybe 16GB if available) microSD cards to substitute for the 8GB flash memory in N81 8GB. Enjoy :)

hi guys! i am an owner of an N81 2gb. i only bought a couple of weeks back but am now thinking of selling it again or swapping it with a N81 8gb. d reason 4 such is due to d small phone (internal) memory that d 2gb has.so far, i have not installed anything on its internal memory but d memory details indicate dat i have used 16mb out of its 18mb internal memory.i checked on d app mgr 4 possible applications installed but only found small sized app wid only kb in size installed on it.i have also deleted all files that is being shown on d file mgr but to no avail of freeing more memory. can anyone pls help by suggesting on possible ways on freeing my internal memory and can anyone pls advise if it wud be better to swap my N81 2gb wid an N81 8gb? Please anyone?

Well, you are entitled to your opinion. But the fact still remains that N81's sound quality is a lot better than N78, though N78 has a better camera. Honestly, I tried N78 and didn't notice much difference except for the size of the photo. That's my opinion, and you have yours, I respect that :)

its kinda like ipod scrool wheel. in music player, gallery and some other apps, you can spin your finger round the dpad like an ipod and it moves around. alot handy when you put alot of music into your phone.

N81 is the worst nseries phone. Doesn't have the right to be in the N8x line. The N78 is a lot more qualified to be a N8x than this phone.

Hi Jon Yep. The phone is a lot more stable, it boots up faster, and the Navi wheel is more responive. Theres also been an increase in battery life,although it was already great, and its become lite on RAM useage, even when using the built in Web browse, which has also become faster. All in all a great update. NONAME Theres FSecure, check the Download app in your N81.
