Please do not ever buy any Philips mobile handset from any seller on E-Bay India. There is no after sales service on this product in India. They are so dumb that they cannot even guide me to procure a battery replacement for the Model 568. My handset is lying idle and I need a battery replacement which no one can provide.

I have been happy with mine for couple of years now but it seems to have lost divert to answerphone. If I go to Call Info, call settings, divert, unsnswered,set,I get a blank screen that seems to want a number which assume needs to be voicemail number of my provider??? my phone provider confirms the answerphone is set up correctly. My Philips 568 has started giving problem since yesterday. It is not starting. I have charged the cell fully,but when i press the on off switch on the right, it displays the startup scean but as i leave the button it gets switched off again. I tried it again, it get switched in for few seconds and shows searching for EMIE or EMEI no and gets switched off again ... Help help me .. Hi every body, I've had my phone for about a year. the only time it gave me trouble was when the keypad locked and did not function for about some hours. i abandoned it overnight and was pleased to find it perfectly normal the next morning. i said one trouble but there are other problems like: -my manual is in spanish and i live in nigeria and the official language is english -my set did not come with an earphone -i just read about the data cable, i really need that cos i still love my phone and would like to use it for as long as, even if i still buy one with infra-red or blue tooth hi-hi-tech (so i want to know where to buy one in nigeria, port harcourt specifically) -and the specs i just saw in this site, like 40 polyphonic ringtones, i have 12 default and 5 for composer? the rest come when or how? -and the demo mode on the menu, is it possible to make a video like that with the special effects? apart from these the phone is really nice especially the crafting, i have the silver colour and most people still want to have a look at it although its worn now. hope to hear from someone. thanks -

Well as far as I am concern Philips 568 is not performing up to expectation. I bought one here in Nigeria but not upto a year it started developing fault and there was no warranty because I bought from someone that brought them from Europe. The main problem is that it will not boot completely which means I can not use my phone at all. If it come up now in the next few minutes it will hang/freeze up. You on it sometime it will just remain on with the back light and the LCD light. Can anyone please help me out.

if u have a cable and software and can't connect the pc use this steps. 1:connect the cable to your phone 2:go to the menu/games&applications/PC software on/off 3:when u use this you can see a picture like loading panel 4:then connect the cable USB side tu your USB 5:after that you can see a warning about finding your phone. 6:if u will see a panel for searching softare just click next and next for searching the software from your pc.(if you will setup the software to your pc it can find it by itself) 7:and now you can connect to your phone ;) if u have another problem just send me a mail ...

When I first recieved the Phillips 568, I was excited about its quality. All I can say is that I was a little disapointed. If you are a person who cant keep away from their phone, then dont buy it. I would only reccomend it to people who use mobiles for calling, and emergencies. I only ever used the phone forabout 4 months. I have ordered a Motorola PEBL, which I ***hope*** is better value.

the phone is wonderful it has a kool pictures the camera is kool the sound er bam but it can record for 50sec and download the max of 49kb it has small memo fo downloading the worst of it is that it has no infared or bluetooth the phone is one of the best phone ever.

Bought this a while ago. My package came full with software cd, earphone and usb data cable. But had to download the latest version of the soft(phone tools v.3.25) from philips support page. For those of you having trouble to connect with pc, download the latest version of the app, run the installer but don't yet connect your phone with pc. When the installer asks, only then connect the phone with pc, and from your phone menu, go to games& Ap> pc software link and let it run. Your phone will be detected and you can transfer all you need, to and from the phone. But pc soft link should be running in your phone all the time or else you'll lose connection.

friends, this is an amazing cell. it's very easy to connect the cell to PC. plug your cable data to headset connector. choose game&application menu. click on pc software link. let it run. after you install the mobile phone tools on your PC. activate it. choose serial cable connection. connect your cell to the PC. wait for a moment until u see the operator indicator on the PC monitor. finish. have a nice download matey..... let us bring our great design cell with a proud.

Dont care what others think about it, bt, i have a problem. 1.In trying to understand it I activated it as This sim only, now I cant use any other sim apart from the one in it. 2. Ysterday while trying to sitched on it refused, and the display shoed me "APPLICATION INITIALIZATION FAILURE" All tehe technicians syas they dont know how to help me. Pls can someone help? Nice for the price, but it does my head in that once again its impossible to find a USB connection cable for the thing and it doesnt seem to be as compatible with download services as i'd hoped- though this isn't a problem if you don't care about getting new content on there and the composer is very useful for making your own little tunes. Shame the instruction manual doesnt go a little further into how to work it though, it took me a while to figure out how to input a song.

This is a very good phone. Video recording facility is the major plus point. Everyone says nokia menu tree is the easiest but I am surprised at the very logical Philips navigation. Photo quality is better than many higher prices models my friends own. ON a whole a real real surprise for me, i didny expect Philips to design such a beautiful phone. The 568 is a great phone looking at the features and price. Quality is ok compared to other mobile phones. In terms of design it looks a little bit like a SonyEricsson.

A good buy for an ordinary phone. I like to look, buttons, menu, and design (good to hold). Downsdes are: sound quality is not the best. The camera is burry. Also the auto key lock activate too fast (just 2 seconds) and you need three steps to release it.

This phone has a bug... If you write a "�" in one of your SMS, without passing the 160 characters limit, it will count as 3 SMS... Be careful! I don't know if there is a software update yet for it!

A great alternative to Sony Ericsson, Nokia or siemens. The philips brand is at least not so common as the rest of the crowd. Cool Design, great finishings and superb sound quality.....just try Philips as an alternative to competing brands....by the way last year Philips doubled their sales in the GSM market (so maybe a Philips GSM is not so rare in the near future)
