Prestigio MultiPhone 4055 Duo - User Reviews

 • 8 inch, 5000mAh battery, up to -50% less!!

 • official Prestigio service??? Where the hell is that?

 • my prestigio wont charge 3502 duo

 • For all of us if you are encountering problem with the spell checker of the Prestigio Duo 5500 and you can see it is already active you can try to turn off andon the spell checker and it will work.

 • That was hardware problem - changed motherboard in official Prestigio service

 • I cant download there is space but it will say insufficient space

 • when the brightness is low it will be bright what should I do to remove the brightness please help

 • Need opinion and suggestion - I have a problems: 1. In keys - language & input, Spell Checker is turned ON, but when I typing suggestions and spell doesn't work. I use only one language English. Do I need to download some dictionary or? 2. From time to time the OS freezes and no way to restart the phone, unless the battery remove and then install again. Than run about 10 days with no OS lags, slows, or any other problems and again OS freeze, sometimes even in stand by... I appreciate Any suggestions or opinion about solving those problems. Thanks.

 • Front camera is VGA 0.3 Mpixel, 640x480 pixels

 • what about front camera?

 • Hi guys. I'm sorry, I'm talking about Prestigio 5000 but they are all so similar. I have a small problem...or had. I went for a bycicle ride today and it started raining. When I got home I felt my phone vibrating, withoutba pause, continuosly. He had maybe fee drops on rain on and it was itsy bitsy wet on the inside. I took the battery out and as soon as I put it in it started vibrating again even tho it was turned off. I turned him on after few hours and let him vibrate until... well... as long as the battery doesnt run dead. And then it suddenly got weaker and a weird sound and over. It stopped. Could it be like some kind of water detector or was something just not right cause water got in?

 • Just press and hold the Volume Down and Power buttons at the same time. You'll see an animation on the screen, indicating that the screen photo was saved

 • How to make screenshot?

 • How to make screenshot?

 • when I call someone the screen goes all black but I can hear the voice but then I need to remove the battery and reopen the phone to use it again ... what should I do ?? where is the problem ?

 • How do I add or remove (especially remove...) some of the home screens? They are 5 now. I need fewer. How?

 • I've had it for over a year. It works, but the user experience is really disappointing. GPS stopped working long time ago, apps are sluggish at best, even making a phone call or writing an SMS is a challenge (heck, sometimes I can't even pick up a call because the touchscreen doesn't cooperate).

 • Hi to all, ** Skype problems! ** If you running an old version of Skype, and have problems with sign in or receiving error messages about network settings issues, then you must to update to the newer version (the latest version is 5.0.0.52727 about 49Mb size). The best way - how I did below: I go to manage apps < downloaded < Skype < clear cache < clear data < uninstall the Skype app. After that I install the newer version via Play Store, sign in and have fun. Something important and different in the way of Skype's working: In my opinion now the way of working is much better than before, because the Skype now is working in cached background processes and didn't takes the RAM. In this mobile device takes around 30 Mb only in cached background processes, and if you want to release even from the cached background memory just remove the skype from recently used app list on home desktop screen (with sliding to the side). The memory will be released till you get (receive) some Skype IM or call. Or if you want to completely release cached background memory just sing out from Skype. In my opinion on this way of working for sure may be improved battery life, but the time will tell how much will be improved, if we can notice the difference.

 • hello people, i bought this phone on saturday . and today i'm having this prb : my screen touch isn't responding .it works fine for a while and then stops(or works slowly )and then works fine (and then stop, repeatedly ). what should i do ? pls help me.

 • Hello people i need help, i bout this phone on saturday and today i'm having problem with touch screen, for two minutes is working well then it stops for 10 sec, and then works fine and then stops again. what should i do ?

 • I've just bought a Prestigio 4055 Duo phone and want predictive texting but can't find how to turn it on. Help Please

 • g-sensor is limited, only 3 point-left,mid,right

 • thanks, but i surly checked this setting. it is not that, doesn't work. i start to thing it is vibrator itself what is broken :(

 • Go to settings > audio profiles > general > vibrate Be sure that is checked (marked): general and vibrate option

 • Hi guys i have a question about vibration. Phone stopped vibrating. I think, that maybe virator itself could be broken somehow, but before going to service i want to check what exactly and where needs to be ticked to 'vibrate' to make it work. Maybe i am missing some settings, not sure. Can you help? or is there any manu where i can test vibrator? thanks

 • Also don't forget that with 1GB RAM will be excellent phone, and may be OS update to v4.4 and ... ... ha, ha, but with these improvements will be increased and price

 • Yes I agree with you, For me only IPS display is missing in this phone. In same phone size to put 4.3" IPS quality display, and option for auto brightness settings.

 • Only few things are missing: Better display viewing angles, Higer contrast ratio at sunlight, Bigger display size 4.3" or 4.5" and Better camera sharpness at low and dim light. Overall Prestigio 4055 is well done phone, but with this few things will be excelent

 • Low sar 0.5 MAX that's good YES :)

 • No big deal the same behavior in my case I dont know how to off confirmation vibrate for out calls.

 • Hi man, I like your custom home screen look very much:) I install both apps. Chronus widgets offers a lot of customizations, font colors, weather icons set with different styles, Yahoo!, Accuweather, OpenWeatherMap and yr.no weather providers. Clean clock have options for 24/12h and on/off shadows on digits. Your custom style (design combination) is realy unique and resembles and reminds on newer design trends for transparent clocks and weather widgets with monochrome icons - not to much but in some parts similar looks that reminds like samsung galaxy s4/s5 clock and weather widgets in two rows, without widget background and animation (transparent for better wallpaper view). But this clean clock style with bold hours and middle separate line is more fancy and cool look. You done nice promo pictures with different wallpapers at imgur.com. Thanks for sharing:)

 • Somebody knows how to turn off short vibration confirmation which appear at the moment when outgoing call is established? This option should be off when phone is a near to ear (head), but when make an outcoming call and phone is in your hand - far from ear (head), at the moment when call is established should get short vibration confirmation. My phone vibrate even when is a near to ear (head) and screen is off.

 • Accelerometer works in two extreme positions. It is a 2 way G sensor for display rotation, only reacts in two extreme positions - can't fix it is not software problem, it is hardware problem

 • Gyro issue. Not working.I mean reacting very hard. Does anybody has same promblem and if you have solved that ?

 • Now I'm using my custom clock and weather widget on my home screen. This is my custom combination of two widget: Clean Clock set as clock widget and Chronus set as weather widget. You can see how it look at this link: If you like it those two widgets you can find it at Google play store, they are free: Clean Clock Widget have two 4x1 and 4x2 size, Chronus have more widgets, in this case is used Weather widget 4x1 (resized to 3x1). If you tap on clock will go to system clock to set alarm and if tap on weather widget will open additional five days weather data. I'm using this combination more than two weeks, so far works stable, memory consumptions is at low level, Clean Clock use 3-4 MB of RAM in running processes, and Chronus use 5-20 MB RAM but on cashed background processes.

 • For budget phone very good SAR values: from 0.138 to 0.544 W/kg for voice calls. Only for GPRS is little up, but only on GSM900 Here is full Test resuts:

 • Hi Mladja, I use (I have) this phone from July 2013, and worked so far very stable, no OS resets, no OS blocks (freezes), until I installed "Weather & Clock Widget" app, which caused OS freezing. First 15 days worked so good and so smooth, but after that started to make problems. After I uninstalled for now (20 days) OS running without any problems. All the time I running the latest firmware v1.0.28. Sometimes some widget or app may cause OS restarting or freezing. Also I recommended to do firmware update to latest version 1.0.28 may be will normalize the OS. My opinion (suspicious) is that some app/widget may cause restarting like in your case. You may try by disabling (or uninstalling) one by one app/widget to find which app causing the problem issue. Before you decided to install some app/widget first read the comment and experience from users and find out it is good or not for this OS and phone.

 • I appreciate it for you effort , I'll try to instal it , my OS sometimes blocked and i have to reset my phone and i didnt have widget yet :D , but as soon as I buy my SD card i will update system , and see if it is gona be ok :)

 • Unfortunately I uninstalled "Weather & Clock Widget" app, because it caused OS freezing. I report this bug to devexpert support team, and they answer me: "We are aware of the freeze problem on some devices, and it could happen for many reasons. And we are working hard to fix this problem on all devices as soon as we can.. We appreciate your patience.." Only for record for people who use this app and have that kind of experience to know: The app/widget - itself never freezes, only cause an OS freezing. Only solution is uninstalling.

 • Hi Mladja I found your most wanted widget (This particular weather clock widget from prestigio home page). You can install from Google Play Store it is free and try to search with this name: Weather Live with Widgets Free, from "Apalon Apps" developer.

 • I will tell you how I practice to charge/use battery. When I bay a new phone, First few charge/discharge cycles I performing from 0 to 100% to get as much as possible full battery capacity. After that I use how I like, usually (often) I do partial charge from 10-30% to 100%, or rarely from 30-40% up to 100% or 30-40% to 80%. From time to time - once in 2-3 months I do completely discharge 0% (until phone turn off) and charge up to 100%, to refresh and to keep better battery capacity. It is recommended to perform charge during phone is OFF. Then turn phone ON, and if is possible keep charger connected into phone for next few hours - in my opinion not necessary to keep long time, it is enough about 30-45 min. Also you have on mind some things and here is simple guidelines for charging lithium-based batteries: * A portable device should be turned off while charging. This allows the battery to reach the threshold voltage unhindered and reflects the correct saturation current responsible to terminate the charge. A parasitic load confuses the charger. * Charge at a moderate temperature. Do not charge below freezing. * Lithium-ion does not need to be fully charged; a partial charge is better. * Discontinue using charger and/or battery if the battery gets excessively warm. * Before prolonged storage, apply some charge to bring the pack to about half charge.

 • How do I calibrate the battery? 1) Completely discharge the battery. 2) Charge the battery up to 100% when swithced off. 3) Switch on the battery, and leave it connected to the charger for another 5 hours. Repeat this action 3 times.

 • my phone works perfectly.just recently rooted it and works like a charm framaroot

 • Be sure that a some recently installed application or widget not causes any conflict (un compatibility), check in the running processes see if something suspicious. If so uninstall, or try to reset by clearing data and cache. Also you can try to do master reset on factory settings (be sure to make backup of all critical data, because this action will erase all user data from the device memory) Here is steps How to perform Factory Data Reset: Settings > Backup & Reset > Factory Data Reset > Erase All Data ______________________________________ If doesn't help this, contact Prestigio support and help center - may be is an hardware problem?

 • It just started to turn on and off. I dont know what it is. I cant use it normally.

 • Prestigio MultiPhone 4055 Duo User Manuals:

 • I have an idea maybe can help: Maybe you can find This particular weather app (widget) from prestigio homepage on Installer Prestigio (green app icon), create a profile, logon and try to search on-line Prestigio widgets and app.

 • I tried to run an app called "Flip4Silence", but it doesn't seem to work on my phone. I have a Prestigio PAP 4055 DUO. Can someone explain what may be causing the problem? I tried several apps, which also should silence the phone when it lays on its screen, but they all fail to run on my phone. Any ideas?

 • I currently use Weather & Clock Widget and it works quite stable and consumes low RAM memory. I have also used some of Droid27 Widget (Sense V2 flip clock & weather and Transparent clock and weather). Sense V2 works with less memory unlike Transparent clock and weather which consumes more RAM. Links to see widgets: and This particular weather clock app (widget) from prestigio home page I do not know where to find, but you can ask the guys from Prestigio, maybe can you give a link or send you in the mail.

 • Thank you so much i figure it out how to set it with your help. and i instaled wweather clock , but one more thing , can u help me instal this particular weather clock from prestigio home page it is looks awesome :D ty

 • I use this phone more than 6 months. Worth for the money. Main disadvantages are: camera quality especially on low light and dim light conditions, sometimes the voice calls (voice in ear speaker) are not so clear, but sometimes are perfectly clear and loud. Also the vibrations for incoming calls can be little stronger. Battery life is good although the feeling is like 20-30% weaker capacity - may be the problem is in battery procentage sensor, i.e. the procentage showing is not accurate and battery discharge is not linear.

 • This phone still is a good price 123 . I use almost half a year and no problems so far. Good side is battery live, normal usage 4-5 days for calls SMS internet from time to time, and up to 2 days battery live for hard usage. However I believe that direct competition on Prestigio Brand are Lenovo Smart phones - almost the same money cost, but a little better specification and features.

 • Additional info about calls recording and build-in Sound Recorder app pre-installed on original Jelly Bean. In Sound Recorder app You can set Voice Quality (low, medium and high), and Recording Mode (normal, meeting and lecture). File types are: for low quality *arm, for normal quality *3gpp and for high quality *ogg. Recorded voices are saved in following location: *Call Records are saved in SD Card in folder PhoneRecord, (only *3gpp file type) *Sound Records are saved in SD Card in folder Recording.

 • Yes you can do call recording. Make a call and press the list menu button (left down button below the display) will appear in down list "start recording", press start and that's it. It is two way - will recorded yours and other voice. Always you can install an call record app from Google Play if you wont something more, but this native BUILD IN record function is good enough.

 • Can it "2-way calls recording" ? Please anybody answer - i'm interested in that phone.

 • The same situation is with Whatsapp messenger. Whether you phone is single SIM or Dual SIM, you can install Whatsapp messenger application only once via Google Play Store. So, only 1 phone number can be registered via your phone and you can use only 1 number in your dual-SIM phones. However, if you use an Android phone (single SIM or Dual SIM), you can not use multiple accounts and multiple installations of Whatsapp on your phone, because this app do not support multiple accounts or two numbers connected to the same account.

 • Yes Skype works well on this phone. I use Skype version 4 installed 5-6 months ago and it works good. Can be use and video calls too. I haven't try to use Viber on this phone, but can use it - no reason why can not. According to experience of some Viber users on dual SIM phones, you can use a Viber application, but only 1 number/SIM you will be able to register to the application. --------------------------------------- I search internet and as reply of this question: (Is it possible to include a second telephone number on my Viber account?), I found this answer from an official representative of Viber: - Viber currently supports only one phone number per device. We might add an option to have few numbers connected to the same account in the future. (Answer is from 2 years ago, but still nothing is done?)

 • Prestigio 4055 good features: *Solid design and strong body (comfortable and well fits in hand, stylish with ribs back cover to protect sliding and sweating hand, plastic body does not creak under the fingers, and on touch not look like cheap made) *The screen is covered with protection glass, not plastic like some cheaper Xperia *Good SIM Manager, easy and simple to operate *Good headphones (strong, deep and quality sound) Prestigio 4055 bad features: *Not too much of customization choices (very poor finishing - upgrading system from Prestigio, no good clock widget, weather widget, no skins, themes... ...widgets are mostly native Google - must download additional widgets from Google Play Store) *Noise (sharpness grain) and low sensitivity camera to dim light and dark *2 way G sensor for display rotation works in extreme positions Overal rating: 7/10 1. Ergonomics, design and build quality (8/10) 2. The screen and keyboard (7/10) 3. Battery (9/10) 4. Operating system and ease of use (7/10) 5. Technical baseline processor and RAM (6/10) 6. Camera (6/10) 7. Connectivity, memory and multimedia (7/10)

 • Advantages: - Pretty fast and stable operating system Android 4.1.1. - Good classic design and strong body. - Strong battery 2500 mAh (lasts 3-4 days for normal usage) - Quality headphones for music and radio - Two SIM cards with good SIM Manager (only one card is 3G, but easy setup and change card to be 2G or 3G) - Easy and simple to operate Disadvantages: - Bad viewing angles on the screen - Slow and not accurate G sensor for display rotation (2 way G sensor) - For the 8 megapixel camera is not acceptable noise and low sensitivity to dim light and dark (weak flashlight effective only up to 0.5 meters) - Battery showing percentage is not accurate - Widgets are mostly native Google, and it seems poorer than that of Samsung, HTC or Sony.

 • I updated two weeks ago via OTA and I running the latest firmware version 1.0.28. Today I checked in my phone, and the build number is: PAP4055DUO.20131129.v1.0.28 --------------------------- It seems that the latest firmware version (build number) is PAP4055DUO.20131129.v1.0.28 which is release on 17.12.2013.

 • Hi Kate, they ask for firmware build number, I guess. You can find it in: Settings>About phone>Build number, should be:PAP4055DUO.20130418.v.1.0.16 if it not updated at all, or if it previously updated to v.1.0.22 should be: PAP4055DUO.20130715.v1.0.22 For the latest firmware update v.1.0.28 Build number is: PAP4055DUO.20131217.v.1.0.28

 • Struggling to get started and Support asks for stupid things like what is your Build No. Haven't a clue. Support zero if you can't get past these questions. No UK phone support.

 • Accelerometer only works in two extreme positions, Wrong battery indicator, are incorrigible, don't expect to be fix and don't losing your time for discuss! 1. Accelerometer (2 way G sensor for display rotation) only works in two extreme positions - can't fix it is not software problem, it is hardware problem; 2. Battery indicator - do not lean on the pointer of battery percent because is not accurate (percentage does not match the real battery state): - from 100% to 85% sometimes dropping down very fast even when phone is in sleep, - from 85% to 25% dropping not linear with jumps, - from 25% to 0% holding pretty much long (sometimes up to 1,5 day), However not so bad, there are and positive sides: Prestigio 4055 Battery Endurance Rating is 51h (58h) i.e. 51h for battery consumption from 100% to 10% and 58h for battery consumption from 100% to 0%. According to helpix.ru comparisons and tests, Prestigio 4055 has 13% better battery life from Samsung I9500 Galaxy S4 (Prestigio 4055 score = 113%, Samsung I9500 S4 score = 100%) (see more on ). This means that you will need to charge the phone every 51 hours if you do an hour of Video Playback, an hour of Internet Wi-Fi and an hour of Voice calls every day. More for battery live and testing on: My experience about battery life is 3-5 days. Average I do about 20-30 calls per day (total duration for all daily calls about 50-70 min on both SIM), and I use 5-10 times 3G internet only for weather condition update on widget sense clock.

 • Hi i have problem with GPS on Prestigio MultiPhone 4055 Duo. GPS don't want to fix satellite. How can i fix it without root. Thanks

 • I noticed that after last update v.1.0.28, during incoming call screen, the picture (contact face photo) is no longer covered by black area on under side. Now in this update is removed under side black tape-line area. This was Jelly Bean bug and was discovered in January 2013, but solution has been implemented in February on the Google official Jelly Bean update by Google AOSP team. Who knows why Prestigio late with this solution, they could be implemented in earlier firmware version 1.0.16 or 1.0.22. See more about what I'm talking at links below: or see incoming call before: and after update:

 • Firmware update resume from official Prestigio webpage: Latest Prestigio 4055 firmware update from v.1.0.22 to v.1.0.28 - 17.12.2013 change log: 1. Camera's HD mode - enabled. 2. Prestigio apps were updated 3. Some small fixes and system stability was improved. Previous firmware update from v.1.0.16 to v.1.0.22 - 15.07.2013 (release on 13.09.2013) change log: 1. Fix battery capacity display issue. 2. Update system language support. 3. Update launcher. 4. Update system apps. 5. Update desktop layout. 6. Improve system stability. 7. Some small fixes. Link to webpage (go to 4055 / Support / Firmware):

 • I found something on "4pda.ru/forum" about 1.0.28 update. According to this forum here are experiences after last update: Updates are performed one by one (you can not install last update from v1.0.16, only from v1.0.22) The main thing for a successful upgrade (v1.0.28): - More than 100Mb free space on the SD card - Availability Runoff firmware on the device, - Not changed recovery, - Not changed system utilities - Not changed sections - Charge the battery for more than 30%. More for improvements and bugs at:

 • I forgot to mention that in earlier version (1.0.16 and 1.0.22), before this update also could be recorded in 1080p @ 15fps. Which is a new feature (Camera's HD mode - enabled) I do not see and understand?

 • Nothing spectacular in this update. Added a new HD option in the camera mode. Here are the available choice of recording resolutions: HD = 1920x1088@15 fps, Fine = 1280x720@30 fps, High = 640x480@30 fps, Medium = 480x320@30 fps, Low = 176x144px One thing: I do not understand how Prestigio engineers made resolution 1920x1088 when the Full HD standard is 1920x1080(1080p). Why are these 8 pixels more??. Perhaps would be better Prestigio engineers to make 852x480 (480p) resolution which is more helpful because of the smaller memory size and satisfactory quality of the recorded videos. I recommend to using Fine mode 1280x720 (720p) because it has better frame rate (30fps) i.e. better smoothness. I did update v1.0.28 today and how is with other things, still do not know. Are there improved battery life and which are those some small fixes and system stability improvements we will see.

 • I got notification few days ago for this new firmware v.1.0.28, but I have not update yet. Also I asking those who have done this update to tell us whether are everything OK - to do or not?

 • Prestigio 4055 - New firmware (from v.1.0.22 to v.1.0.28) now is available via OTA service. (update size 13,1MB) Somebody can tell more precise what is improved and tell us about experience with new Prestigio apps which were updated? On official web suport page Change log is: 1. Camera's HD mode - enabled. 2. Prestigio apps were updated 3. Some small fixes and system stability was improved.

 • this a good

 • You have just described everything I am facing with my 4055 Duo. So accurate and Not a single thing to add.

 • GSM Arena done mistake at OS published info. So this phone have Android OS v4.1.1 (Jelly Bean), not Ice Cream Sandwich.

 • Done a system update (new Firmware v.1.0.22 from 13.09.2013), because you'll get additional several different prestigio keyboards where there a better solutions. I think that no need to install other app for this.

 • I agree, Outdoor on sun and good light, Camera gives average quality photos which are acceptable. Should be little less grain on pictures and better sharpness. On dark and dim lights pictures often are with unacceptable grain and are blurred.

 • Prestigio MultiPhone 4055 Duo will do just fine for you, battery lasts for 4 days, you got Jelly Bean installed, its fast...only drop down is camera, low light pictures or movies are very low in quality, and there is no compas sensor.

 • Too bad there is not numeric keyboard installed. Only qwerty which is not practical in portrait. If you install app for this then you can be in trouble because it sends what you type to someone (credit card numbers, phone numbers etc.)

 • To change the input method, go to: 1. Settings > Language & input > Default, 2. Choose the desired input method. You can download a input app or use the input method pre-installed on your phone. Use the onscreen keyboard to enter text, such as contact information, mail, and web addresses. Depending on the app and the language youre using, the keyboard may correct misspellings, predict what youre typing, and even learn as you use it.

 • How do I set the T9 in messages? Thanks to all (i have a Prestigio PAP4055 DUO)

If dont have a suffer desire to have a phone with sound brand name, and If evaluate performance and price quality ratio, but assess what you get for the same price then the choice would be clear. Prestigio 4055 is a winner for more performance items, worth for the money and is best buy product. If you want a phone from famous brands with similar performance you have to pay extra for at least 30% to 40%. Actually then you will buy a better product. Another important detail associated with this brand is that behind less famous Prestigio manufacturer, stands very famous brand - ASBIS. ASBIS Group is one of the leading distributors of Information Technology products and solutions in Europe, Middle East and Africa. In addition, a significant part of ASBIS revenue is comprised of sales of IT and consumer electronic products under the ASBIS-s private labels, Prestigio and Canyon. Prestigio is successful more than 10 years in the global IT-market with mission to deliver the optimum mix of the highest quality and advanced technological features with competitive pricing. In manufacturing the smartphones is about 2 years, but promises much with price and quality. If continue in that direction, will get a success and who knows may for shortly will become a sound brand.

 • Follow this steps: 1. Go to contacts, 2. Open the desired contact which you want to block (by pressing on name of the contact), 3. Press on left button below the display to get list of options, 4. Choice from the list: block incoming calls.

 • Somebody can tell me how can block a incoming call? Thanks in advance. So far I'm satisfied with the phone. Price/Quality = 10/10.

 • I understand your complaint totally. Also at the beginning I was disappointed, but after a few weeks everything come to its place. I thought that I had problems with the battery and I accepted and adapted to a slowness and inertia of the G sensor. - Bluetooth working good - no problems so far, Im using the phone 3 months - G sensor is 2 way (2D G sensor), therefore is not precise (for some games it's a big problem) - Battery needs calibration, charging it all to 100%, discharging to 0%, and charging to 100%, to get a better capacity. Do not lean on the pointer of battery percent because is not so accurate. My experience with battery life is: Strange behavior consumption is not linear, sometimes battery consumption from 100% to 85% is very quickly (3-4 hours) even if you use the phone in standby, but sometimes holding quite long (10-15h). My experience when Im using the phone for calls or 3G data is that the battery is consumed quickly (for one hour usage) to 80% and then to 20% holding quite long, but sometimes from 20% to 5% can stand all day. I think that showing the percentage is not accurate. Also with charging is strange behavior from 15% to 100% should be charged for 2.5 to 3 hours and sometimes should be charged for 3.5 to 4 hours. When battery is completely flat charging is up to 5 hours. For my needs and usage I am satisfied with battery live, however my impression is like the battery capacity is about 20-30% weaker (maybe the battery is not with the declared capacity or the phone is not so economical?) After update (new Firmware 20130715.v1.0.22) there is an improvement and Fix battery capacity display issue.

 • Dear all, I have purchased few days ago one Prestigio 4055 and returned it quickly (after three days of use), for the following reasons: 1. BLUETOOTH. The Bluetooth has been for two days only. On the third day it didn't want to connect to my Voyager Pro headset, under any circumstances. To be mentioned here that after the incident, I have checked the headset with other two phones and it was OK. 2. G-SENSOR. The rotation sensor was too slow. After I rotate the phone sometimes even it refused to rotate the screen. A hand shaking was required to awake the G-Sensor. 3. BATTERY. I have chosen this type of phone for the good commercial regarding the long life battery. It is not like that. Or the battery has no 2,500 mAh or the phone is not well designed in respect of consumption. In similar conditions (

 • Links to these applications on google play not working! Try with searching on the official google play website. Names of the described applications from Droid27 are: 1. Sense V2 Flip Clock & Weather, 2. Transparent clock & weather.

 • Those who want a nice clock with weather on its Prestigio phone, may try some of the clock & weather applications from droid27. If you are a fan of htc sense clock, try it this widget: Sense V2 Flip Clock and Weather. Almost identical to the original htc application, but offers much more customization. I use this application more than 3 months and it works great. The application uses much less RAM memory (5-6MB) and battery. Google play Link: If you are a fan of Samsung S4 transparent clock, try it this widget: Transparent clock & weather. I tested and it works well on this phone, but unlike Sense V2 Flip Clock & Weather consumes more memory (about 11-25MB, sometimes up to 40MB) with Enableed optimizations. Google play Link:

 • Prestigio MultiPhone 4055 Duo user opinion and review: Good side: * Solid design and strong body (comfortable and well fits in hand, stylish with ribs back cover to protect sliding and sweating hand, plastic body does not creak under the fingers, and on touch not even look like cheap work) * Dual SIM, dual standby, * Good SIM Manager, easy and simple to operate, * High capacity battery 2500 mAh, * Good performance and system stability, Android Jelly Bean v4.1.1, (40 nm MK6577T dual-core processor 1.2 GHz), * The screen is covered with protection glass, not plastic like some cheaper Xperia, * Good headphones (strong, deep and quality sound), * Outside on sun and good light 8 megapixel camera gives average images (for better images set in the camera settings: saturation and color to high, and for sharpness, brightness and hue set to middle), * Reasonable price. Bad side: * Display viewing angles and low strength on strong sun, no automatic adjustment of display brightness, * Not too much of customization choices available (no skins, themes, widgets are mostly native Google and it seems poorer than that of Samsung, HTC or Sony), * For the 8 megapixel camera is not acceptable noise and low sensitivity to dim light and dark (weak flashlight effective only up to 0.5 meters) * 2 way G sensor, * Vibration could be a little stronger, * Speaker volume during calls could be a little stronger and better, One more thing: Only Prestigio 4055 offers powerful battery of 2500 mAh, The others Prestigo models: Prestigio 5000 comes with battery of 2200mAh, Prestigio 5300 comes with battery of 2100mAh, Prestigio 5430 comes with battery of 2000mAh, Prestigio 5044 comes with battery of 2000mAh, Prestigio 3540 comes with battery of 2000mAh, Prestigio 4500 comes with battery of 1850mAh, Prestigio 4505 comes with battery of 1800mAh, Prestigio 5400 comes with battery of 1700mAh, Prestigio 4322 comes with battery of 1500mAh, Prestigio 4044 comes with battery of 1500mAh, Prestigio 4040 comes with battery of 1500mAh.

 • One more thing.... I forgot to include the fact that you need to calibrate the battery, which includes charging it all the way up (100%), draining it all the way down (0%), and charging it all the way up. Make several such cycles to get as comfortable as possible battery capacity. (Should be careful to prevent overheating during charging and discharging). After that charge the battery as you needs, but once on a month or two months make one full cycle (100% > 0% > 100%) to get a good battery capacity, i.e. to maintain capacity as high as possible. Do not lean on the pointer of battery percent because is not so accurate. Done update (new Firmware 20130715.v1.0.22) because there is an improvement and Fix battery capacity display issue.

 • First turn off the 3G data, WI-FI, GPS, Bluetooth, Synchronization, etc. Also check if an application consumes your energy, if you install an incompatible application can consume more CPU power (see running processes and battery consumption, see in: manage apps < running processes and see in: system settings < battery). Another problematic may be one of the SIM cards to spend extra power. Had such a case in one of the phones in standby to spend extra power. Solution is (to replace) to try with another new SIM card.

 • Hi. I've got some problem with my Prestigio 4055. It's new, but my battery in stand-by mode support up to 30 hours. What should i do ? Please help.

 • If you use the phone only for voice calls, battery lasts quite long up to 5 days. If you heavy use the phone (3G internet, camera, video, Wi-Fi, games) from 1 to max. 2 days, depending on the needs.(with constant uninterrupted usage might stand 5 to 6 hours) I did tests and I used the phone only for voice calls on both SIM about 15-20 calls per day with a total duration from 45 minutes to 1 hour per day. Battery life was 5 full days.

 • I bought phone 3 months ago. I paid 162 euros + 13 euros for micro SD card 16GB Class 10. In total 175 euros for a phone with a memory card.

 • In fact in Cyprus VAT is 18%. No VAT for non-european countries For non European countries VAT of 18% is not charged, but I think that for Macedonia and Croatia you have to pay 18% VAT. I do not know whether with or without VAT, but The Cheapest offer is in Russia and Ukraine - the price of the phone is from 115 euros. (with or without VAT ??) Also most offer is not currently available for sale.

 • On official prestigioplaza.com market price is 123 euros (without 15% VAT). It means the total cost is 145 euros.

 • In Macedonia price is 9.999 denars (162 euros), also the same price is in Croatia. Currently the online on prestigioplaza.com price is lowered to 123 euros - a good price for dual SIM phone with Android 4.1 and a powerful battery.

 • Prestigio 4055 BATTERY ENDURANCE RATING 51 hours. Also "helpix.ru" have done testing on this phone (see article - ) and the battery consumption results are follows: - Video Playback Time: 7h10min = 13.9% per hour, - HD Video Playback Time: 4h40min = 21.8% per hour, - Games play: 4h40min = 21.8% per hour - Internet Wi-Fi: 8h40min = 11.6% per hour, - Internet 3G: 5h40min = 17.5% per hour, - Voice calls: 11h30min = 8.7% per hour, - White Display (100%): 11h20min = 8.9% per hour, - White Display (0%): 20h0min = 5% per hour, According to helpix.ru comparisons and tests, Prestigio 4055 has 13% better battery life from Samsung I9500 Galaxy S4 (Prestigio 4055 score = 113%, Samsung I9500 S4 score = 100%) (see more on ). According to helpix.ru test and follow calculations the battery of Prestigio 4055 has Endurance rating 51 hours. For 24h = 41%, for 51h = 90% (41%+41%+8%) or from 100% to reach 10% are needed 51h. This means that you will need to charge the phone every 51 hours if you do an hour of Video Playback, Internet Wi-Fi and Voice calls every day. More for battery live and testing on: Conclusion and my opinion: Everyone has their own method of testing. I think the more accurate test is done by "helpix.ru". Also is very important to bear in mind is the following: - Testing should be done on more phones, - Battery must spend more complete cycles of charging and discharging (from 0% to 100%) in order to rich their maximum capacity, - Each battery is not with exactly identical capacity, - It is very important on which level is setting of display brightness. Maybe the tested phone from "news.smartphone.bg" had no full capacity battery or less affected battery. In my experience, my phone while get a full capacity was needed more than 10 cycles.

 • Speed test and evaluation of Prestigio 4055 Good side: Solid, aesthetically pleasing design, Dual SIM option, high capacity battery. Bad side: Display viewing angles, and low strength on strong sun. 1. Ergonomics, design and build quality (score 8 of 10) The device comes in a slightly thicker chassis than other Prestigio model with attractive plastic, but not high quality materials and workmanship. The side buttons are well executed and precise pressure. Everything looks nice and steadily, but it seems to us that the long-term materials are not as good as others. The Prestigio is reminiscent of the Nexus its design. Plastic does not creak under her arms, and touch not even work cheap. 2. The screen and keyboard (score 7 of 10) 4 inch screen goes almost to the edge of the device. Resolution of 480x800 pixels (233 ppi) is quite solid. The viewing angles are the same as with all Prestigio model - see the difference in the movement, especially when the virtual keyboard. Virtual keyboard in turn offers no shortcuts. Assessment raises the fact that the screen is covered with glass, not plastic like some cheaper Xperia. 3. Battery (score 9 of 10) The powerful battery of 2.500 mAh charging a little longer. Us has withstood the test of two full days along with some power for a third. These results came with the use of only one SIM card, and we believe that with the Dual SIM option battery withstood a maximum of two days. 4. Operating system and ease of use (score 7 of 10) From the first installation and integration Android OS v4.1, finishing interface looks nice and clear, as it is a device with higher price points. Modern finishing Jelly Bean Android OS includes the start and a bunch of preinstalled applications. Supports smart dial. Widgets are mostly native Google, but it all seems poorer than that of Samsung, HTC or Sony. 5. Technical baseline (score 6 of 10) With a dual-core (ARM Cortex A9 MediaTek) processor clocking 1.2 GHz and PowerVR SGX531 graphics chip, built just 512 MB of RAM, which means that the OS will work fluidly as long as the device does not cram a large number of applications. Then to be able to feel the difference versus the more expensive and advanced technical base. 6. Camera (score 6 of 10) Built-in 8MP camera (3264x2448 pixels) with autofocus even offers something better pictures than other Prestigio model that we had in the test. We do not know what's the catch, since it would be done on identical camera. Versus middle-class smartphone, missing richer colors in photos, and we'd like to see a little less noise. In any case, fit and well. Video can be recorded in HD (1080p@15fps and 720p@30fps). 7. Connectivity, memory and multimedia (score 7 of 10) With GPRS, EDGE, 3G, Wi-Fi (hotspot) and Bluetooth v4, missing only the NFC and LTE connectivity. Via microUSB cable, data exchange is unlimited with your computer. At 3.5mm audio connector can connect most headphones, because while we only 4GB of internal memory (expandable with microSD) gave a slightly lower grade, but it fixes the fact that the device supports Dual SIM, then simultaneous operation of two SIM cards. 8. Navigation (score 7 of 10) With made A-GPS module, can also use the navigation via Google maps, which in turn means that it is not supported, turn-by-turn voice navigation. For 4-inch diagonal, giving maximum mark 7. Prestigio 4055 - OVERALL RATING (7.1) This speed test is taken from Croatian web page:

 • According to official Prestigio 4055 technical specification the phone has Endurance rating of 56 hours. Here are the calculations: Talk Time: 14,5h = 7% per day Internet Surfing: 7,5h = 13,5% per day Video Playback Time: 7,5h = 13,5% per day Standby Time: 300h = 8% per day Totally for 24h = 42% of battery consumption. It is almost two and a half days, which is a great result, but the question is whether the results can be achieved in practice. However the test results from news.smartphone.bg and my calculations say that Prestigio 4055 has battery Endurance rating 32 hours.

 • Prestigio 4055 have battery Endurance rating of 32 hours. Battery live test of Prestigio 4055, according to the results of tests and according to my calculations showed result of endurance rating of 32hours which is weak result for 2500 mAh battery. Although for my needs and usage I am satisfied with battery live, however my impression is like the battery capacity is about 30% weaker (maybe the battery is not with the declared capacity or the phone is not so economical???). Competitors from famous brands realize better results of endurance rating. (up to 48 hours with 1600 and 1800 mAh battery). Read more details below: "news.smartphone.bg" has done testing on this phone (see article - Ревю на Prestigio MultiPhone 4055 DUO from 30.06.2013) and the results are as follows: 1. For voice calls phone served 9 hours and 5 minutes, 2. On internet phone served 4 hours and 46 min (with 61% setup of display brightness ) 3. For video clips 3 hours and 15 minutes (also 61% setup of display brightness) 4. In standby phone served 625 hours. According to my calculations for 1 hour voice calls phone consumes battery of 11 % , for 1 hour WI-FI internet phone consumes battery of 21%, for video clips phone consumes battery of 30% and for 1 hour in standby phone consumes battery of 0.16% (for whole day 3.8%). Totally per day consumption is 66%. If 24 hours = 66% then the other 34% = 8 hours or 32 hours total. So result is that Prestigio 4055 have endurance rating of 32h. This means that you will need to charge the phone every 32 hours if you do an hour of the three activities tested above every day (one hour per day of: voice calls, internet and video). More for battery live and testing on: For my needs and usages battery live is 3 to 4 days while battery level from 100% drop to 10%. Usually I am not a heavy user and I normally use the phone for: * 15-20 calls per day with totally duration of 1 hour per day (I use SIM1(3G) 30-40% and SIM2 60-70%), * 3-5 SMS per day, * 5-8 times per day for synchronization the weather and to see the weather on line 3G data is ON only when I am online (totally duration about 10 minutes online per day), * To made with camera 5-10 images per day, ** Display brightness is low and set between 30 and 60%. When I heavy use the phone, 1 to 2 hours per day internet or seeing video clips or capture images then battery live is 1 to 1.5 day.

 • I bought Prestigio 4055, 2,5 months ago. For the money given can be said that is an average phone of middle class. Advantages: - Android OS, v4.1.1 (Jelly Bean) - (1.2 GHz dual-core processor) - Pretty fast and stable operating system. - Good classic design and strong body. - Strong battery (although I expected more and better backup) for battery backup more below in my comment. - Reasonable price - Quality headphones for music and radio - Two SIM cards with good SIM Manager (only one card is 3G, but easy setup and change card to be 2G or 3G) - Easy and simple to operate Disadvantages: - 512 Mb RAM - Bad viewing angles on the screen and older technology - No automatic adjustment of display brightness - Slightly below average sound headset during a call - Slow and not accurate G sensor for display rotation - For the 8 megapixel camera is not acceptable noise and low sensitivity to dim light and dark (weak flashlight effective only up to 0.5 meters) - Recorded videos (720p @ 30fps and 1080p @ 15 fps) are not exactly smooth and fluent as it should be for a dual-core processor and 8 megapixel camera - Battery showing percentage is not accurate MY EXPERIENCE WITH BATTERY LIFE: Spend from 100% to 16% for 2 days and 10 hours 19 min slightly used 3G internet, use Skype call about 1 hour (from 100% for an hour Skype call spend to 82%), used the camera for a 10-15 pictures per day and few minutes online (5-10 minutes per day on 3G) 3G is on, only when I use internet. For the cycle described above, here's battery log and usage: - Cell standby 41% (time on 2d, 10h, 17m) - Phone idle 39% (time on 2d, 7h, 27m) - Voice calls 16% (time on 2h, 15m, 35s) - Screen 3% (time on 2h, 50m, 41s) - Android OS 2% (CPU total 53m 5s) Until I put the battery for charging I spent plus half a day just with few calls (duration about 20 30 min) and the battery is dropped to 11%. CONCLUSION: Strange behavior consumption is not linear, sometimes consumes battery from 100% to 85% very quickly even if you use the phone in standby. In my experience with this phone is that the battery is consumed quickly to 85% and then to 20% holding quite long, but sometimes from 20% to 5% can stand all day. I think that showing the percentage is not accurate? Also with charging is strange behavior from 15% to 100% should be charged for 2.5 to 3 hours and sometimes should be charged for 3.5 to 4 hours. When battery is completely flat charging is up to 5 hours.
