Samsung A517 - User Reviews

  • I like this phone except for the fact that i must have a bad one because i have to take the back off and take the battery out a lot. I have a problem when I try to make calls some days it say not allowed and if I take the battery out and put it back in is is o k for awhile.

  • I have this phone. You could really hear its ringtone and vibration (LOL). It's a great phone to not miss a call, unless you have terrible reception or service. Sometimes this phone has poor reception as oppose to the Blackberry 8300 that I used for work. It's slim and very easy to use. It even works well with my Motorola bluetooth headset to listen to my music. The interface is nice, but quite limited. It's not a smartphone so I won't compare it to one. It's a good phone for phone calls and texting-wise. However, be prepared as its call quality is not so great. It can be so loud, that others may hear your conversation, not so great for discreet persons or spies. At least you don't have to repeat to your friends what the other friend said about being late for dinner. The problem sometimes I get is the software. I have Rogers, and it will pop up the rogers music program now and then without my consent. Also the bluetooth headset does not compute with the rogers software, only the phone software, and it is not a good mp3 player, you might as well get a MP3 player. It doesn't have a normal headjack, so you are forced to use its crappy headphones, hence why I got the bluetooth one, although they're not too great of quality either.

  • Umm...i lost my Phone and now im going to get this phone but one thing that im not so proud of is that its so small that you could loose it very easily...And i personally dont like "Thin" phones but for some one with a taste for that then this is the phone for you!!

  • Actually this phone TALK TIME is NOT 3 hours its way more then that, i have it and i charge it once in 2-3 days, its great, i usually talk from 6000-8000 minutes a month and i talk a lot everyday and the battery is just beautiful, usually i talk about 6 hours a day and the phone lasts up to the next day so i charge it once in 2 days usually

  • This phone is 2.9 Ounces or 82g, not 59g.

  • OMG 60g thats great!!!!!

  • It's because this phone was just added, as well as some other T-Mobile and AT&T exclusive phones.

  • Me too :P

  • Hahaha has anyone even noticed this phone except for me? Wow
