am currently a user of the samsung C6625, and i must confess that the phone design is explicit. the only thing that makes me mad with samsung manufacturers is the battery life which they ignored and pay no attention about! now look, i just purchase this phone on the 10th of july which is a week now and battery problem is now the problem! they have made everything on this phone nice and well compacted not only for them to spoil the phone with battery life. samsung should improve on their product or else they may loose their target customers and the market in general. right now, am thinking of returning the phone to the dealer i got it from.

Purchased mobile 2years ago. Battery backup is just for half dat at present. Service centres are unable to providene battery. Cant tranfer the phone book on the Chip inserted in the mobile as no option is given. Really in trouble.

the battery life reaaaally sucks but the internet works because right know I write this message from a samsung c6625 and from opera mobile not from internet explorer' another thing you cant put dot or the exclamation sign etc after a paragraph - you most wrote continiously without it because if you do that it wont let you wrote further such a bad - it's anoying - the messenger doesn't work error even if the internet on the phone works - I had dropped it about 3 times and still works fine even if it has some scratches - big ones ' so again another thing if you want to surf on facebook if your account has any sign in the name when you want to put that sign from symbols it with put you all of it and you must delete all and let only the sign you are interested in' nice screen though I like the colors works better for girls I think ' the camera even if has 2 mega pixels works just fine - nice photos on natural light but not in the dark ' another thing that is anoying when you are called the sound is gradueted beggins slowely and then much louder and until you will heard the phone ring the caller will hang up' you cant watch any video on youtube - again doesn't work - only if you have it on the phone' - it has some kind of thing under the screen - looks like something melt and I serriously didn't do anything this time :)) didnt fall in water or anything like that and didn't stay close to a source of heat just like that anyway maybe it is just mine like that, after you have opened a bunch of programs it is better to go to task end to press end task for all the programs so the battery can have a longer life' I think that's it - Althought Im really dissapointed of this phone do not buy it for this money you can take a nokia C3 wich has a longer battery life and is more resistent - doesn't have such nice colors but still is'way much better

Yes, this phone have multitasking capability.... because Windows inside! every windows either desktop or mobile version basically have multitasking capability. You can open several program at the same time and switching between program to use it. As my experience using this phone.... I ever open more than 10 application at the same time... switching between program such as music player, ms office (read only), Opera mobile, java games etc all work smoothly.... remember this phone have large RAM size inside... this is why this phone can work smoothly while opening several program..... you know reading from RAM is faster than reading from memory card such as MicroSD etc. I noticed no decrease in performance when multitasking. But generally this phone work a bit slowly... because only powerred by processor with 400MHz speed but still acceptable.... please don't compare to 1GHz processor... they have different class and price! if you are not an impatient person, using this phone may be a bit annoying. But remember this is a phone not a monster computer.

hi just reset the phone...& try installing all 3rd party applications on storage card henceforth as some may contain virus & if you install directly...the phone gets corrupt..for a hard reset try doing --- Phone Off, pressing D-pad up + power key...always backup data & scan 3rd party applications before running them on mobile...good luck....

This phone is great.... because power by windows mobile....! Microsoft make gadget more functional and fun either for business or for fun... but this phone processor quite slow... only 400Mhz... this make this phone run quite slowly even though still acceptable.. connect to internet using windows mobile is very easy... just run application 'internet sharing' and choose connect and you are ready to surf internet. I don't know about you, but I'm not experiencing any of your problems. The battery last at least 3 days (if I'm using the internet) and about 4-5 days (sometimes even 6) if only I call and text. To configure your internet, donwload the defined settings of from your network provider (it worked like a charm for me). I haven't tested the camera yet (not a fan of pics) and olso the GPS. The only isue I've got is that the "Z" and "Y" are switched. On my phone it says QWERTZ :D.

yes it can use mp3 ringtone.. click Menu when HighLight the mp3 on contents manager.. and u can set it as ringtone.. for sms alert tone, it a little tricky. u should put the sounds files (mp3, wav or mid into folder named Ringtones). Good Luck!

Yes most of the time it happened to me also that Disconnecting the call, it lock the phone and we have to unlock and check the call status. it actualy happening becuase call disconnect button is also used for lock the phone, and when we disconnect the call, press hard or more then 1 time, so it will be locked. pressing call button, call will be connected with first dailed number, yes, it also happend becuase of pressing hard and unknowingly more then 1 time, as call register open slowly and we think it is not opened so pressing 2nd time. Try to avoid hard pressing and may you not get same problem..

The Windows OS is ridiculously slow and often gets confused of what it is supposed to do. The battery is very weak and can often get dry in a couple of hours time. I was so excited when I got this phone last year for my birthday, but it is definitely not worth the money. As per battery in concern! Yes it drain Fast, But i am check that, if we not charge fully means it still charging, we stop for charging it lost long, where as if charged fully (Battery is charged unplug) Screen! it drain fast and within 24 hours we have to charge for minimum use. As per my experience for mail: it delete the earlier downloaded emails if we download emails after 7+ days, it delete earlier inbox mails! and even it delete if we deleted the message from original mail server. may be it check and delete from handset also. skyfire i am using in india! means it is not banned. i am using Opera more as it works fast and downloading is also good, even disconnected download can also be completed in next session. NICE Know! Music sound is very low, even i am using Juke box with Equalizer to higher side! it not louad as i expected. if want to install may tested softwares check my earlier Opinion....

The Samsung C6625 looks great in your hand (black version looks like a Blackberry), but is a let down on functionality. You have to take a number of steps to get to different aspects of the phone for example, accessing files, phone book,camera, internet, even making calls etc. It is not a straight forward thing where you could just click on a key or button, you have to go through a few steps just to get to the thing, and this I find anoying. On many occasions this phone crashes just like a PC, which is not good If you are making calls out on the road or at work. The battery life is total rubbish. Before, when I got the phone brand new (six months ago), in the first week I got about nearly 2 days of usage,now it's less than 6hrs use per day. I have to charge this thing every a few times a day, and Im so afraid of the battery dying out on me during my working day - not reliable at all! Voice quality is poor, many times I had to repeat myself because the person on the other end could'nt hear me very well. The Windows operating system is very sluggish, it lags when you start to add apps and at times freezes, sometimes in a middle of a call or surfing the web. What I like about this phone is the design, camera (good quality pictures + records smooth video at 30fps, which is far Better than sony W300, LG phones and low end phones that only record at a jerky 24fps), Built-in radio(you can also use the loudspeaker), and also the fact that you can manually turn off the internet and leave the phone operational thru one of the menus (in new phones like Samsung Wave, Portal, S etc the internet is always on therefore sucking money from your data plan, you have no control). If you are thinking of buying this phone, don't bother at all, you will be dissapointed. This phone has out-dated windows and Samsung are not supporting it. There are no up-dates to the lastest os version of windows. Why do you think people are selling these phones on Ebay??? After a few months use this phone is slow and unreliable. I'm now seeking a new phone with Android that is within my budget range, I can't afford the new Samsung S or HTC(same price as Iphone 4)! LG phones are no good!

Hi friends i have changed this handset from Nokia E61i to samsung c6625 recently, this fone looks gr8 in style/look. even icons and menu popups are more attracting compare to nokia pone, but i am missing few things which can make this handset tremendous phone in Windows cat. 1- Verry wrost thing is its battery, while full charging of 4-6 hrs, its drain after few calls from 3bars to 2 or 1 barrs, eben if u r using internet/gprs its drained surpringly.) 2-in this phone software there are no such facility of close/quit option directly from any opened page, every time we need to close application by using task maneger) 3-A gps (still am not not able to find the GPS that how we can use it, even installing on pf the third party softare i have installed)

This Samsung C6625 is a nice looking phone with Windows 6.1 standard (non touch), but it can not be upgraded to 6.5 due to a lack of internal memory and processing power. The phone almost looks like a Blackberry,but with a bigger screen size. Resolution is good when using other apps (I will mention the best apps later),sound quality is very good when using loudspeaker, but when it is off, sound is a bit muffled when talking to people. The first time I use this phone the battery was excellent - lasting nearly two days, but now after several charges, to it's full capacity, the battery now lasts less than a day, and I'm always afraid that the phone will cut out on me anytime during the day, and when you need it the most. Using your data plan, internet will shorten the life of the battery even more. For example I was on the internet for half an hour and 2 battery bars out of four have gone down from when I start up the phone - terrible! The camera pictures are good. In fact they are a lot better than my old sony VGA phone. You can adjust the size and quality , which is good, but there's no flash. Day pictures looks better than them taken in the dark. Also, indoor pictures are not bad, but you must have surfficent light for a decent shot and with a steady hand too!! Video quality is good too. At 25fps (depending on settings)it is very fluid with no jerking,and you can record any lenght depending on how much memory you have. This beats back the low-end LG phones. Right! Back to making phone calls. When starting up the phone, it does take a while to get going,you have to wait till everying boots-up, even to make a call otherwise it just hangs! On some ocassions, when moving around on the main screen to use apps or to make a phone call, it has hung on me and I had to remove the battery and re-start the phone. The best apps to use on this phone are as follows: 1) Skyfire web broswer. Forget using flashlite and your MS internet exployer, Skyfire has flash, silverlite, flv and more built into one web brower with sound, and whats more it's free!! It can display full html webpages NOT old WAP. Watch Youtube, MiiTV, Last Fm etc - check it out and download it free (in the form of a CAB file)from skyfire.com 2)Kinoma FreePlay. Kinoma is an all-in-on-one multimedia programme. It plays your media files you already have on your phone as well as play streaming media from your internet - Youtube, audio books,radio stations, pod casts,photos, also from your storage card, flicker, and more. Kinoma FreePlay is very quick in accessing your files. This programme is free, but is limited in that you can not make posts to your twitter or Facebook accounts, nor can you access certain stations. Really a good basic business windows phone. in India we get it for 7k rupees. Battery lasts for one day only requires charing everyday , even when put under automatic power managing mode. headphone doesnot have a 3.5 mm out.

hi there, to disconnect the internet just shortly push the red button, and the connection will be off in about a sec or two, it will automatically reconnect if your apps trying to use the internet, otherwise you might want to install gprs/3g 1or5mins auto disconnect program just google for it, it will save you lot of wasted time and money if you use time based connection. depends on the location and network, this phone is a real fast USB pnp modem, before indonesian provider indosat (IM3) limmits the HSDPA connection speed i could download 90MB In less than 8.5 mins without a wireless broadband subcription. and score about 1300kbps down/64kbps up. Can anyone help? Often my C6625 hangs when I dial someone. It gets stuck on the dialling screen and then no buttons work after that. The only solution is to take the battery out to reboot. This also happens when I have a call waiting and I hang up the current call to answer the new call. All the buttons stop working and I have to wait for the caller to hang up or go to voicemail...then the phone works again. Is this a common problem?

I think I have totally wasted money on this supposed sim free "business" phone and it can't even connect onto the sims internet, which are all internet enabled on pay as you go! I just can't get it to log onto the internet it just keep saying error verify the proxy settings or it hangs in connection for a long time and goes nowhere. I tried 3UK and it's total rubbish-nothing, next I tried 02(UK)and it automatically found all the settings: MMS,GPRS and Proxy, but can't log into the internet. And Finailly I tried T-Mobile UK the phone recognised all the settings too, but still I can't log into the internet. If anyone has this phone, could they please, tell me how to go about this.What do I need to do? What do I need to do in wireless manager,options in the internet browesr,in the phone section and where else do I need to change? I need some help please as I am so frustrated. I have a problem and I was wondering if anyone can help me here, which I would be very much greatful. I inserted a brand new T-mobile UK sim (which includes texts and unlimited internet when topping up �10 or more)into my new Samsung C6625 windows 6.1 mobile phone and I can't get it to log into T-mobile's internet, it just says cannot connect. My old windows pro phone automatically configured it and the internet worked great,but I'm having a hard time with this Samsung phone,which actually has the settings and proxy name of t-mobile, but is not logging into the internet. Samsung's manual is of no help at all. What do I do? I've checked the wireless manager and the phone is on as I can make calls, still no internet. I hope someone can help me, thanks in adavance!

Hi! Does anyone know what the web configuration settings are for the 3 network in the UK, when using windows mobile 6.1 sim free phone? When I use 3 internet it is very limited. I can only go onto google's search engine, but can not view any web pages and links, it just hangs and says that connection was broken off. And besides that, I keep seeing that it changes between 3G and HSDPA very often. Any help is very much appreciated! Hi Guys,I have 2 enquiries about C 6625 I have. 1.I've noticed that the alarm doesn't ring when this phone is switched off.Is there setting I need to do so that the alarm can wake the phone up when it's switched off. 2.with the aim of saving the battery, I switched the band selection tto GSM900/1800 and that was good.the battery could take up to 4 days but now most of the calls go to voicemail even is the phone is switched on. to all c6625 users that feels the battery drains so fast, it is because of some applications works in background which maybe u didn't realise at all.. some even start by itself when u turn on ur phone.. like antivirus.. but if u didn't install antivirus but the battery keep drains so quick.. there is one preinstalled application that cause it.. IT WAS SHOZU! coz when u start it for the first time, it default setting will make it always plays on background & start on startup.. so, juz go to the shozu application then choose setting then uncheck the play on background & start on startup.. it will make u battery stays more longer.. i've tried it! and my battery stay longer.. this was a great phone! reasonable price with great performance & i'm quiet satisfied.. oh, by the way i'm from indonesia.. nice to meet u all guys!

This phone actually is unworthed if compared with another Samsung, such as i780, except HSDPA. The weakness of this phone is the speakerphone is one place with ear pieace. So if you use this phone for music with loudspeaker, there is no separeted speaker to play the music. And beside that, there is no wifi, camera no flash, no auto focus.

guys, for the battery issue, try to make the 3G setting is off....so the signal is only for GSM only, not 3G, it works on my LG KT610, with 3G on, the battery only last for 1 day, with 3G off, it lasts for days...give it a try

explaining threaded sms: in general your sms inbox usually was listed using date as the based for listing, for example the newest sms was put on top of your sms inbox, with the oldest sms will be put on the bottom of your sms inbox, the same will goes in your send and outbox folder threaded sms will group the sms based on the contact, so all sms from e.g John Doe will be group under john doe's name, in this name, your sms reply to john doe will also collected in the same group. so threaded sms will look like chatting, for example: inbox of threaded sms: -john doe -john doe 2 -mommy -friends -etc click/press/select the john doe, and the detail probably will look like this: - 1/1/09 John doe: hi you, bla-bla-bla 1/1/09 me: hallo john, how are you, bla-bla-bla 2/1/09 john doe: I'm fine thanks 2/1/09 ETC * some threaded sms will put the latest sms on the bottom, while other OS will put the latest sms on the top, either way, i guess you got the point right? hence, the inbox style called threaded sms (aka. chatting style inbox) the advantage of this type of inbox is of course the structure of the sms will be easier to be search and you will likely less prone error(for example writing the wrong message to the wrong person), and you can track all your previous sms with a person

(This an update 4 my testimonial) A friend of mine just bought this fone a couple weeks ago (the blue one). She bought it Rp2.500.000 (about US$235) in Indonesia. My impression about this fone : PROs -Above average camera quality (8.5 for C6625, 5.5 for E71) -lightweight -good plastic quality, a bit looks cheapy i think (who cares?) -good QWERTY (but it implements diff keyboard functional than E71, so u need some time to get used to Samsung keyboard if u switched from E71) -GPS (not tested yet) -HSDPA -Video Call camera (not tested yet, cant snap pict) -Youth looking fone (in Indonesia only Blue and Black colour) -Good Screen (320x240, it really does the job) -Light Sensor (keyboard's light turn off in outdoor) -It can run Windows Mobile Profesional apps (Yup, it does. I transfered several PPC .cab app to this phone, and it runs on it) -Nice Transition Effect in HomeScreen (Too slow, the processor is underpowered i think) -It has much better image gallery than E71. (E71 Image gallery is craps, i should scrool over thousands of images which the thumbnails is so small. E71 user will approve this) CONs -No WiFi (yup, of course) -The Max Video resolution is ONLY 320x240. (not VGA @ listed here) -No UMTS and GSM switch options (E71 hav the options, i still confused how to switch to UMTS in this phone if i want to use it as a modem, i cant find the setting in WinMo. In E71 u can switch the phone to works in UMTS/3.5G or GSM or DUAL MODE. Again E71 wins here.) -NO THREADED SMS (it's not WM6.5, it's a WM6.1 BUT with a several registry tweak u can make the SMS threaded. It makes inbox so laggy, so i prefer normal SMS mode.) -Exchange Server Sync problem (what's wrong here?) -The keyboard isn't responsive as Nokia E71 (Yup, for keyboard responsiveness i giv 5.5 to Samsung and 8.5 for E71) -The battery life only lasts 1 day. (1,5day for E71) -It doesnt hav a good processor, it soo laggy when i switch between several apps. E71 never lets me down in multitasking, E71 is a lot of snappier. BELIEVE ME ON THIS!!! Samsung is so laggy,note : i dont hav any apps run in background.) If you want a QWERTY fone that's below $250, go get it!!! Somehow my E71 is alot more better. But Samsung is not bad at all.

Its easy man just click start menu then content manager then browse for the sound i.e if you have your music on the memory card, then the file or the song your want, highlight it the click menu for options.Option 2 on that menu is 'set as'option then click it then walaaaa there is your ring tone... to set the ringtone with any music you like, just put the MP3 file that you want in the 'my document' or 'my ringtone' folder at file manager. after that, check the sound settings... u should find u'r MP3 file as ringtone!!! hope that help :-)

I have been reading the comments on this phone for quite some time and even after some negative comments, decided to buy it for the following reason: - Price - Looks - Screen size - Good quality qwerty After using the phone for about a month now, I am pleasantly surprised. Here is why: - Quite good photographs in daylight. Blackberrys and Nokia N71s come nowhere close. Bright colourful photographs shows Samsung photo expertise. - Video Quality: 25 fps is a rarity. Most phones have 15 fps video which is jerky. - Battery quality sucked initially. After several charge cycles, now it's lasting more than on day easily. It lasts for a long time even with just one bar. However, I am following several good practices to conserve battery power, like keeping bluetooth off, keypad light for a short duration only etc. - The screen is as large as Blackberry bold (though with a lesser resolution), larger than Nokia N71/63 and many other smartphone models -Very good GPS, instant lock and locking on several satellites (I get 7 mostly) - Software availability: Though there are more software for Winmo 6.1 professional, there are still a lot out there for the standard as well There are cons too, but pros outweight them. I will sometime later post the cons.

Dont forget to install - facebook application (nokia E71/symbian sucks doesn't have this application only nokia N97 5th generation symbian) - nimbuzz(m.nimbuzz.com)or palringo(www.palringo.mobi)dont use ebuddy cause java isn't stable - opera mini and skyfire (installed internet explorer really suck, really slow for internet) - skype for free calling with skype users anywhere - u can use your phone as modem to your laptop (run internet sharing). If you have unlimited internet connection (better turn on 3.5G/HSDPA mode) and it's charging with USB. - better to have GPRS/EDGE mode,if you running your push email because it will really runout your batt using HSDPA all the time.

Windows mobile was divided into two group, windows mobile standard 6.1 (like the one in this phone/non touchscreen) and windows mobile pro 6.1 (touchscreen), sometime software maker just bundled software for these two group in one file, so sometime it looked like a pro software can be installed in this OS, but in reality the software probably just detected the type of the OS and install the right type of software. -Nice Transition Effect in HomeScreen >samsung have some theme/skin for winmo standard 6.1 but I can say that the theme from samsung is too heavy/to much animation that taxing the phone. I recommend to used default winmo theme called slide media. I think that theme is the best theme for this phone. CONs -No WiFi >I used to have phone that have wifi for years, and guess what, not even once i used the wifi, so I think this is a overrated feature, but of course if your home network were using a wifi, no wi-fi is still kinda letdown. -The Max Video resolution is ONLY 320x240. at first time chrge, make sure u charge bout 6hour nonstyop..his is becuse the 1300mah life is longer and bigger, so u need to charge longer at the first tiome.. i also used power batteray sticker and it works, mine last about 3 days. .

Just got 4 new C6625 phones for work, The battery life is dreadfull. We manage about 1 hrs talk time during the day then it dies. We do use it with exchange server mail push system set to update as new messages arrive. Is this what is draining the battery so fast???? Our Nokia and Qtek phones would go for 3 days, I can't believe Samsung would release a phone with windows mobile performing like this. Any body help please.

sorry that one is for win mobile pro. for stndr ed. go to start-settings-accessibility-system font size (only 2 option size avail.) if u wnt other size then u need to hack ur registry.

Hi all. I am the proud owner of a C6625 and so far i am very content with it. it doesn't come with a memory card, GPS is not working, but you need to install a GPS program, as far as i understood. One thing i don't like about it, I can't seem to figure out how to play the ringtones to decide what ringtone i want to use. Other than that, it's a masterpiece!

It can edit Office files actually. What it can't do (as with any other phone equipped with MS Office for Windows Mobile Standard) is create a new document. But there's an easy workaround to this: just create a new blank Word / Excel document on your PC, then transfer it to your mobile phone. That way, you can open then edit the blank document as if it's a new document.

if this phone had wifi it would be the best qwerty phone out there. with the big screen and long battery life makes it perfect. for those who say there is the i780 i had it unfortunately when you want to just use the qwerty and you accidentaly touch the screen it messes the whole text. what i like bout the c6625 is that besides everything else it DOES NOT have a touchscreen. Now we just have to find out if it is coming to the middle east and when otherwise i will just order it from the UK.

This should be cheaper than Samsung i780. Samsung i780 has complete feature, bigger screen(2.55" plus touchscreen capabilities), OS WM 6.1 Professional, WiFi, better battery(1480mAh), Optical mouse and the only missing is FM Radio. Samsung i780 now only 340 USD.
