Press the volume key either up or down and it will turn the camera around. I've had this fone for 4years and its awesome. I've dropped it so many times and the only thing that broke is that the batt fell out and now i hav to sticky tape it. but really its such a good phone. only the batt doesnt last to long. i can only get v3.1 mxit it would be beter with a mem card but i love it.

The SGH-E340 has a blue backlight for the keypad. As for moving files onto the phone, buy a data cable or blutooth from another phone... This is a nice phone: good for people with smaller budgets... I recommend the SGH-E340E. This model has EDGE... Great for use as a portable high-speed modem...

Hey guys great phone! However does anyone know if you can use the speakerphone to have a conversation without sticking your ear next to it? Songs sound great from the speaker but when trying to hear somebody talking their voice is not loud enough! Am I the only one to have this problem? Thanks

The e340 offers much and has a good quality/price ratio. But to establish a bluetooth link to my zire72 organiser i need the initialization string of the e340. I could not find it anywhere. Could anybody help me out? Thanks

As I know, the main difference between E340 and E340E it's the last one has Edge. I don't know if there is other differences in software but, for sure, in E340E you CAN use your musics in funbox as ringtones! It's an awsome fone!

I have tested this phone with an D500! I have to say that this phone is in video recording much smoother,menu response are much faster than D500.Even if you take the max resolution of 640x480 no blurried images! It has edge(by giving a code you can activate it),bluetooth ,mp3, 40ply sounds (it is moore than sufficient),40MB of memory! In comparaison i really prefered the sgh-E340 much moore than the D500, really. I am gonna sell my d500.....

I recently bought the E340E and well it has edge, and guys quess what works with this phone? The d500 attachable speaker......yes it works, do yourself a favour and get one it really turns your phone into a boom box.

The samsung E340 is very nice and easy to handle however it would be 100 times better if you could set voice recordings and "sounds" (in the funbox menu) as ringtones. But big up to samsung this is a great phone.

This phone is awesome! I got it about 3 days ago and it's just so beautiful, wasn't so keen to get it at the first place but now i'm very happy with it! The only things that bug me is the battery (only last 2 days!), and more space, but it's still a lot compared to the E700

Im going to buy the E340E version that has edge, so as i dont yet have the phone Im just going to post what ive read elsewhere. You can turn the camera image using volume buttons. So if its upside down press volume up and if you want mirror press volume down. At least thats what i read somewhere.

the samsung e340 does have video recording as i got it 2 days ago and the length of the video all depends on how much space you have left on your phone. their is NO specific limit. the phone has 40mb of internal memory. so it has quite a lot for a small phone.

Really, i bought this phone about 5 months ago. I don't have any complaint. The bluetooth works fine, it has 40 Mb shared memory, it plays mp3 as an mp3 player and for ringtones also(great quality!), the interiour screen is colored 65000 colors very nice, the screen outside is not colored but that doesnt bother me, its very clear. I really recommend this phone to everyone with a budget from about 250 euros, it costs already less i think.

Firstly regarding the ringing tones & vibration you can download ringing tone with simultaneous vibration, cant remember the website just now. Regarding the camera, when taking the photo, just press the volume button on the left side of the fone use the top one it will turn the image around.

Another South African entirely satisfied with the new black version I bought for my fiance. Can anyone please advise whether it is possible to have the ringing alert set to both ringing(melody/sound/audio) and vibration simultaneously? I know about the "first ring and then vibrate" setting but wish it could be done otherwise. A bigger memory or MMC provision wouldn't hurt either. Whenever I try and take a self portrait by swivelling the camera around to face me, the picture I take is upside down. Is this normal? Thanks in advance for your response.

Answers ---> The smaller outside screen has a blue light. Locking can be done for MMS, Text Messages, Photo's, Video Recordings, Ringtones, Mp3's, Games, and Voice Recordings. My battery Life lasted 2days with Making calls and playing Mp3's.

I got my fone a few days ago! Its great! The sound quality of the Mp3's is fantastic. And too answer someone's question, the Mp3 player still plays when the phone is closed. U can set the mp3's are individual ringtones aswell. Camera and Video recording is the best i've had so far. Video Recording with sound. My model is is Black with Blue lighting. Anyone has more questions about the fone i'd be happy too answer them

I bought this phone a week ago in Istanbul/Turkiye. All specs satisfact me except battery time. In normal use, it goes 2.5 days now. I'm disappointed for the battery. But, It may be necessary to fully charge and discharge the battery three to four times before it will be able to make use of its maximum capacity. I'll see. Also, there is no built-in handsfree. You can use with head-set or handsfree-set for handsfree speaking.

The Samsung E340 looks great. Its just come out in South Africa. I cant wait too buy mine. The only difference is that it comes in Black only here, which i prefer. It looks so much better in Black with Blue key lighting. It has everything except 3G. Which makes it the perfect phone for me!!! I love it!

I have bought 2 phones, 1st I bought samsung without infrared and bluetooth but with perfect design, then my friends teased on me due to this. A while later I bought another phone, sony ericsson with infrared and bluetooth. After sometimes, I realised that these 2 functions for me is just to transfer ringtones, mp3, pictures and photo, thats all, so I wonder what so good about these 2 additional functions.
