This Samsung SGH i937 4G Windows Phone worked wonderfully from date of purchase 4/2012 until yesterday 6/23/2013 (two months out of the one year warranty). When I picked up the phone on 6/23/2013 to play my favorite game, there was no sound system. All calls, messages, etc., that I received went unanswered because there were no sounds for alerts or ringing. My GPS system lost its turn by turn voice instructions because there was no audio -- DEAD on sound. AT&T is going to give me an identical replacement refurbished phone, which I hope will last until I am due to upgrade in April 2014. Otherwise, I am out of luck. Could not FIX phone with and without the help of AT&T Technical Support systems. It was a DEAD DEFT Baby. I will NOT purchase this phone again, and I do not recommend anyone buy it. My Samsung i917 Windows Focus 3G is still going strong and looking very good to me after this horrible experience with this i937 phone, which I have babied and taken excellent care of. Looks like NEW, but it sure can't TALK!!!

I have this phone and it keeps rebooting, over and over and over.... cannot repair as I have tried taking the battery and simm card out, resetting it to factory specs.... no luck... do not get this phone.... other people are having the very same problem....

From a person who does not like windows I have to say the focus s with windows 7.5 is excellent. If you are an addict to applications then go android or iOS but for others who want the applications that they will use socially and for work on a daily basis there is loads of stuff. I have the htc one x , iPhone 4s , htc Titan, nokia n9, galaxy note, and I have to say the Samsung focus s is my favorite as the phone is a perfect screen size, amazing battery life, extremely thin and fast and an absolute joy to use. I know a lot of people like who preferred the android software of windows but I am beginning to really like the clarity and set yo and structure of the windows software. The phone is sold unlocked In Dubai where I bought it but not in usual pone shops in the malls. I have been using for the last 4 months it's perfect.

Nokia lumia 900 specs are same as Samsung Focus S i937. Nokia Lumia series is still behind Samsung Focus windows phone series. But only one thing is still missing in SF WP series it is not launch in Africa Asia Middle east.

yes, very much agreed.. i hate it when people start complaining about WP7 while the iOS is simply the same, or even worse (no BT transfer even with other iOS device) and there is no other hardware other than iPhones/iPads.. i mean, WP7 while not being the most used, is actually a capable OS, even though it is only a year old.. it doesn't have multitasking, but switching apps is smoother than iOS (which doesn't have true multitasking also).. it is the same, but better, especially with a range of devices to choose from.. i am thinking of getting the Lumia 800.. from an android user..

i feel like the main thing is the people hub and facebook integration, as well as the live tiles really makes it easier to find the info that i want without having to go into the apps. the onscreen keyboard is real nice with a good auto correct function, though the landscape keyboard blocks most of the screen lol. other then that, it's responsive and the os is reliable. oh and updates come quickly, i got the latest update on the second day when it came out lol

Any WP7 handset is a good enough choice. I did chose between Android and HTC Mozart and i now regret the decision. it`s a good enough phone and ... multimedia thing. the point is that windows will never develop the battery consumption issue. in the meantime android devices upgraded their independence from 1 day to almost 4 days. you will never see that on wp7. is anoing that i have to charge it almost every day. and i don`t even use it that much. in conclusion its a very good PHONE and that`s that. the apps in the market are`t worth 1 cent

Can't decide between Focus S or HTC Titan. Tried Focus S and it's very awesome device. Those people who never tried WP Mango and stock with their UGLY Android don't say anything you look STUPID. WP Mango is a LOT better and smoother then Android ever was. Live Tiles are awesome a lot better then whole bunch of icon like on Android or iOS.

It's simply a Galaxy S2 with window os. Finest hardware and good built quality. I know Samsung uses to manufacture Window os equipped phones quite a while(Omina sesries), so i can trust.

I have the original Focus and everything has been great. I would say it's the best mobile UI experience out there. Screen is amazing, camera and video are very good quality (for a phone). Wifi always connects in 2-3 seconds. Keyboard is easy to use and word correction works better than other phones. Mango features are much better than previous version. Plenty of heavyweight games and apps, without the spam. I actually like Zune experience better than iTuens although I believe Apple has bigger selection. Either way I use amazon mp3 so Zune always detects and automatically loads my mp3s. Very impressed. If MS just put Mango OS on tablet for $200-$300 there would be no more iPad.

Nokia fanboys are revealing their inseurity by trolling everywhere because they know that Lumia can't match to Focus S in terms of specs and built quality. Design of Focus S is totally diffrent to the oudated Lumia series. I respect Nokia, but NOT its fanboys. I wonder they ever hand Focus S for themselves. I had Focus myself and i was satisfied. My contract is finishing soon and Focus S will be on my list.

The regular Focus did have a SD card slot. I had 16GB(8Gb phone 8GB card) total but after 8-9 months the card died and caused all types of hell. While 16GB might not be for music and movie lovers it okay with me.

Most of the users who complain about Android being sluggish must have bought the mid range phones of the respective manufacturers. In my opinion obly yhe high rnd handsets can deliver a respectable performance. I've compared a galaxy ace with a galaxy s2 and its like they were made by different manufacturers. The ace is so sluggish and unusable at times but the s2 is really different. So if you really want the best experience from Android don't buy the mid range or at least make sure that the handset has a 1ghz processor for it to function fluidly.

Its the properties of the OS like fluid UI, ease of use, features, Apps support that makes it worse or better than others. Antroid clearly sucks in above areas e.g. poor and confusing UI, sluggish interface and apps containing virus plus frequent reboot due to unknown reasons and no stability makes it a worse smartphone OS than WP7 and iOS.

It has great specs, but has a weaker OS. I really hope that Microsoft will finally change these basic things, such as the memory card slot, the Bluetooth file transfer. They should change the Menu as well, because it's ugly. At least the phone has a great camera, and has 1 GB of Ram.
