Samsung Galaxy Note9 - User Reviews

  • so galaxy note 9 or OnePlus 7 pro

  • is it normal that the media audio is on low quality while i'm on a call? because i have tried playing some music while talking to someone on facebook messenger and the quality of the media sound is terrible.

  • Note 9 has so many pros against the Note 10. Just buy the 512gb/8gb version to be even more futureproof.

  • October security patch fix the camera issue from Septwmber patch update.. Cheers!

  • My friend has Note 10+ i have Note 9 ,well first impression was whoa..But this was all, later, he started to complain about the finger sensor, about holding it and i using one hand only ,no led light, and NO headphone jack, but he is social media type guy so this phone is mainly used to watch youtube ,netflix and checking facebook and for this its the perfect phone,,,just like iphone, hehe who needs 12gb ram on the phone? For me no reason to upgrade,my Note 9 does good job still and when i wake up at night and my phone is on the stand,i see led notification light, blinking ,and maybe im old school but speaking of headphone jack..i will always preffer wire over wireless..no need to charge just simply plug and play....

  • I've had my T-mobile Note 9 for close to a year during which it finally made the upgrade from Oreo to Pie, received several security and software updates which improved the cameras, brought features from the 10 series like night camera mode, handwriting to text, the ability to export notes to Word/pdf, some swipe actions and the ability to change S-pen ink colors. It is also on the list for the upgrade to Android 10. All these upgrades have really reinforced my decision to hold on to it and not trade it in for the Note 10+. I feel like this is the last no holds barred, everything but the kitchen sink, all inclusive, no compromise Note.

  • i love the note 9 its everything i need big screen easy to read

  • its too much the price

  • Obviously Note 10+ is upgrade phone bt no headphone jack in it other vise nice phone nw choice is urz...

  • Guys,i don't post here too often but, in my opinion Note 9 is the last phone with "old" technology...like headphone jack,or led notification light, if these things are important to you better buy extra Note 9 becasue they are getting rare in the certain color combination and storage /ram soon it will be impossible to find them in brand new condition ..Note 10+ can be called inote 10+ becase for me only diffrence now between Note 10+ and Iphone is..operation system...maybe next one won't have sd card slot I'm staying with my Note 9 us and europe version

  • If you dont care about the punch hole camera and absence of 3.5 headphone jack you should go for the 10+

  • Yes. S Pen doing great job.

  • Hi! In samsung galaxy note 9 and note 10+ which one should i buy?

  • Go to dialer and tap on 3 dots. there if you find recorder, then its good you have call recording option. else it means its not allowed to record calls in your country

  • Call records is an option provided according to the SIM card country for exemple if you put a sim card from north Africa and reset the phone you will find that option otherwise call recording is no longer allowed by google store.

  • Read articles that said so. Let's hope we'll finally get it by next year

  • 1. When I connect to power for charging, phone automatically reduce the ring tone to very low. After charging I have to manually increase the ring tone volume 2. Every time i try to add a contact ,it ask me where to save, every time i have set the default location. Any solutions ?

  • Please tell me ( why ) the good reason., Thank you .

  • no

  • Is it worth buying this phone now?

  • Will get Android 10???

  • I have used my Note9 in rain, shower and even submerged it on a pool and is still like new. Maybe you got a refurbished Note9 or you used it on salt water which is bad idea.

  • Water test not best note 9 water test in life off

  • Why did the battery life become so bad after the android 9 update for the exynos variant? It went from 8-9 sot at 20% to just 6.5-7. Unacceptable >:(

  • It seem than Samsung deactivate the 2x lens of my phone in the 0ct 12 2019 update !!! Now it's just a numeric zoom / crop of the wide angle lens you see when you zoom past 1.999x ..... :(

  • Edit: When I said the Note9 has a great front/ selfie camera, great is too strong a word, I meant very good for a front facing selfie cam/ up there amongst the best.

  • That's because you have it cropped (like zoomed in) for 1 person selfie, select the 2 person icon whilst using the front selfie camera & you'll see it's 8MP, but don't worry about MP's, just use whichever mode suits the situation best, analyze your images after experimenting & you'll see that there's nothing to worry about, the Note9 has a great front/ selfie camera: DXOMARK SELFIE 92 (PHOTO 96 & VIDEO 86):

  • after up date note 9 front camera resulation will be 5 mp. why samsung pls solve this problem. pls take care the customers problems.

  • In the first look it is a great phone with great specifications....but there are some problem with this phone the first one is when you are trying to download over 4g network it becomes really hot that you fill its gonna get fire.....the second problem is software updates..when you update your phone after the update you should do a reset factory setting setup if you not the battery will drain very fast and your phone will get hot easily...and another problem which you may face with it in middle east countries is the VOLTE option that another phones like s8 to s10 plus has but the note 9 wont support.and another big problem is the weight which is 201g and your hand will get tired after using the phone for long time. at last note 9 is a really graet phone but for the people who know how work with a super powerful smartphone.

  • Can’t find any app works on the phone to record calls

  • You can put those 5 icons in any order you want. Go into messages, tap the blue & white text/ speech icon (bottom right hand corner) to start typing a message with the 5 icons showing above the keyboard. Press & hold the icon you wish to move, drag & drop wherever you like.

  • Okay sorry I couldn't help, I'm sure it'll still be worth contacting Samsung support, maybe they can solve your S Pen pairing for remote & give details of authorised repair technicians near you. Also there is Samsung community & Samsung members.

  • Tnx but unfortunately I already did both things. Too bad I cant use the remote and I can always use the pro camera mode. I can't access warranty in my country am in Ethiopia😪. Tnx again

  • Who in their right mind would put a settings button where the emoji button was when typing a text message? Every single update to this phone has made it more difficult to do anything with it. Not just do hard things.. it makes it harder to type a message. And this one thing has definitely just pushed me over the edge! Who was that UI specialist??

  • S Pen remote: Make sure that it's turned on & paired: Swipe down from the top of your screen twice to reveal your toggle icons, look for the S Pen remote icon (it may be on the next page of icons). You can either: Tap the S Pen remote icon to turn it on. Or press & hold the S Pen remote icon to go to it's settings page. Or if for some reason you didn't find the S Pen icon then go >Settings >Advanced features > S Pen. If it isn't paired then follow the instructions (you may need to swipe down from the top of the screen to see these notifications). Camera vibrating: No it shouldn't do this, I've never had any problem with anything, but from looking back in this thread I can see that it is a known issue & they've had the device repaired for free under warranty, please contact Samsung Support, details are on their website.

  • When I upgrade my note 9 into Android Q

  • Awesome phone, I am a heavy user but it still serves me for 12hrs or more. But I cant seem to figure out the problem with the spen remote it doesn't connect even if it is still in, and also the camera why is it vibrating I don't understand. Everything else is great. Only two problems please answers tnx...

  • It gets hot but cools off really fast

  • Point it to sky during the day or light bulb if indoor. Cover it with finger.. You will see your finger for a brief moment and then because of lack of light camera will be switched to the main one and your finger will "disappear". This is still properly working camera. When not enough light phone uses 2x digital zoom from the main brighter camera

  • any news for dex windows integration update for our note 9?

  • Does the front camera set to default 8 mp after September update? Or it's still on 5.2 mp?

  • My model is 960f/ds and first camera from the left doesn't work like tele zoom camera, yet it works like "live focus" camera.

  • After the update of september, 2019, it slow down on booting and restart again. Done the hard reset, still with crappy booting. Is this your marketing strategy?

  • Which model/model number. Mine is 960F/ds and it is working properly after the update

  • Yo I had a pixel 2 xl and then got the note 9. I liked the pixel 2 way more than the note 9 because I really didn't use most of the features but the pixel just felt way smoother and now I'm waiting for the pixel 4 xl to come out.

  • This is true. I just checked to. Even with August update the other camera is not working

  • Yes completely off. Only working in Live focus. Tested all modes. Before this i havent checked or observed.

  • Really?? i m talking about camera not working and you are saying try to shoot in good light? lmao

  • Should i wait for pixel 4 or take note 9? Am really confused.

  • Its natural always.... Try to check in good light, you will be surprised to see 2nd camera back to action

  • After the sept security patch note 9 second camera is permanent off by samsung anyone else has noticed that...check the 2x camera by placing finger on it

  • Is heat dissipation good on this phone?

  • Perhaps because of too much brightness.

  • I have used the note 9 for about a year now and it has been working okay. However, recently my note 9 started having green flickers and whatnot. Disappointed as this is my first samsung phone

  • The Note 9 in Canada is $ 999.99 Can, is it the right price ? The Note 10+ is $ 1,400.00 . ?????

  • They make phones based on what the majority of the people want with the dimensions batterylife features. If it doesn't fit your requirements then go find your dream phone and don't mislead others. That's why Android is better than ios if you didn't find what you want then you can look or wait a couple of months.

  • Got my Note 9 last October. I will be keeping it for now and I remain on Android 8.1 so I can continue to record phone calls easily.

  • Great, I'm glad it worked & I'm happy to have helped a fellow Note9 user :)

  • Hi All, I updated my Note 9 two days back. Next day onwards suddenly i started noticing brightness going up and down automatically. Also in few minutes several lines, patches appeared in my phone. Yesterday i took it to service center they thought it may bcz of update. Today they have updated the phone but problem not solved. NOw they are saying they wil change the Display. BUt after opening phone if there is no liquid damage then only. I told my phone is water proof. They will take another week to get the display and update me. Lets see what happens after buying so costly phone.

  • Thanks very much bro. Your intervention worked. It only needed a strong wifi connection. I turned off all other devices that was using the wifi and it worked. I got the update. Thanks once again

  • Okay, 1st ensure your getting the best (strongest & most stable) Wi-Fi signal possible, use the handset near the router, if still not good signal, then turn Wi-Fi off on other devices. If still no joy then contact T-Mobile, if still no joy & you have one close to you, then sort it out in their shop. Good luck, & let us know what the solution was.

  • Please how can I update my software for note 9 T-mobile. Not working even over wifi.

  • I can't update my software. I just bought galaxy note 9 T-Mobile. I've received notification to update my software but is not working. I'm not sure if it's a weak wifi connection

  • After the Note10+ was released I noticed a surge in Note9 sales but this was quickly followed by an uptick in price. I would wait for Black Friday in November for discounts & bundles, I've also noticed that stock levels are getting low, but it depends where you are. Please only buy from reputable sources including the online high street stores, be careful of 3rd party, so if Amazon, buy Sold & fulfilled by Amazon, (Direct), I wouldn't bother with Amazon Market place either. Definitely be sure to check out your national Samsung website over the Black Friday/ Cyber Monday period.

  • I am not happy with the Note 10+ which has the black hole - camera cut out. I's it the best time to buy the Note 9 now ? ( a 1 year old phone ). Thank you.

  • I prefer note 9 with 201grs than iphone 11promax with 226 grs.

  • I strongly recommended the note 9 and if you have the money then go for the note 10 plus

  • Ive downloaded and install the update so far Everything was ok its also include camera performance update....

  • There is a security patch ready to download a almost 500mb dated Septemver 01 2019. Do i have to dowoad it? Or just ignore it? I am worried if the same what happened on my prev note, all sensor was affected the time when i downloaded the patch.

  • Hi can anyone tell me which one is better, stay use Note 9 or Mate 30 pro coz i kinda like camera Mate 30 Pro. Tq

  • Yes it is. But if you want the latest camera features , performance etc it would be worth it. But if you cant afford it go for s10+. Its cheaper than note 10+. But has all the same specs except for spen and no jack. At least you that with s10+. Just compare the two and then decide which phone you want.

  • But there's a massive difference in price.

  • Note 10+. More features thsn note 9. Better camera and display. Better performance. I would miss note 9 and go straight to note 10+.

  • note 9 is better...

  • Note 9 512gb..

  • Get the note 10+ if you can afford it. otherwise, the note 9 is perfectly fine and more than capable to use even in 2019 (It's also got a headphone jack! :D).

  • I love note 9 it's S-pen is amazing display of note is best and I like the build and quality of phone and processor phone is killer so note 9 is best

  • I am still using the Note 4 . Like to upgrade to the Nore 9 or the Note 10+ .Which one ????.THANK YOU.

  • Thanks very much bro. I appreciate it

  • Nah its not true, the note 9 would at least get updated to android 10 and get an extra year of security updates. So if you got a good deal and know how to take care of your phone it should last you and still be relevant for at least 3 years

  • Is it true that in case there is an Android update after pie, it won't be available on note 9? I've already ordered my phone. Urgent information needed. Thanks

  • If camera is the most important thing for you, then Mate 20 Pro. Everything else, Note 9. Note 9 has a pretty awesome camera on its own now anyway, after all the updates it's been getting this year.

  • any update about dex on windows for our note 9?

  • Mate 20 pro or galaxy note 9? any suggestion?

  • Amazon sell them. But make sure its a samsung led cover.

  • Does any one Know Where i can find Note 9 LED Cover like s10 plus cover tge led one Please Help...

  • That's just cons bro, and u r just not a note guy. This phone is a beast.

  • you compare a fiat to a bmw ?

  • Screen on time is not valid. I just realize there is no way I was that long on phone. I'm thinking samsung timer for SOT is cheating and represent fake SOT.

  • Is a Hardware issue, send your phone for warranty to fix it.

  • Even though , the Note 9 is a year old but it's the best phone in 2019. You get the phone for you ; you buy the phone to use not for the neighbor to look. Sadly.

  • Because the Note 10 or 10+ doesn't have a 3.5 mm audio jack. That's why. Looks like we'll have to stock pile Note 9's or move to another equivalent brand that still has the 3.5 mm port.

  • I hope they release an update soon to fix the camera vibration

  • Here are my pro's and con's for the Note 9 I would not buy it again and have hoped for a better experience - unfortunately as I like to have the S-Pen. Coming from a 2016 Samsung J5 which is just 1/5 of the price (amazing phone for the price) I must admit I expected the Note 9 to be much better in every respect. In reality the upgrade to the Note 9 was more of a mixed experience. Con's: - Curved Screen: Looks very distracting to me as due to the reflections on the left and right side the effective width of the screen is reduced. For me this feature never made sense (when Samsung introduced it, it actually had a sense but now it is pointless). If you read pdf's or use the pen the curved screen is distracting. - Round corners - do not make sense on the note 9 as the corners are far away from the corners of the body. Would be great it Samsung could use a rectangular screen which I prefer. People could still turn on the round corners by software if they like them. - Heavy: I was suprised that the 40g on a smartphone could make such a difference. While the J5 feels great the Note 9 feels to heavy for me. - Screen size: These days a lot of phones have screen sizes larger than 6". However if you read documents you do not benefit much from this as compared with older phones the screen width stays more or less the same. The phone just gets taller. Due to the curved screen the acutal usable width of the Note 9 is actually less wide than on my old J5. - Battery life: not impressive for me / battery seems to degrade very fast (if fast charging is activated - therefore I turned it off) - Too high resolution screen: I do not mind a very high resolution screen: But 1440p vs 1080p makes visually no difference but costs battery life and processing power. Therefore I would prefer 1080p. - With a case the phone does not feel good in hand. This is again due to the curved screens as cases have to try to follow the curved screen edges. Due to this you also have less protection on the sides and less grip. - Hybrid Dual Sim: It is for me like having a TV advertised as having great picture OR great sound but not possible to have both at the same time. I probably would have already switched to Xiaomi if they would offer dedicated SD-card slots in their dual SIM phones. However due to the 512GB it is acceptable to have only a hybrid SD-card slot, still I would prefer to have a dedicated one. Pro's: S-Pen is a helpful feature - 3,5mm headphone jack (sorry Note 10: no headphone jack, no buy in) - gives me flexibility - and although I have a few bluetooth headphones, I do not like the hazzle of pairing and recharging... Apple wired earphones are actually the best. A pitty that two of the three remote buttons are not working with Android. - Stereo Loudspeakers are good (telephone voice could still be a bit louder for teleconferences) - IP68 water proof body is a very nice feature - Camera is good (although I would have prefered wide angle instead of the telezoom) - I do not like the position of the fingerprint scanner at the backside (the new trend of finally integrating this device under the screen is one of the few industry trends I like) I would wish for a Samsung Note 10e which is more a business phone (and has the form factor of the orginal Note 1 and a flat screen): Headphone jack (or even two - one on the bottom and one on top - this could be a nice marketing gag - when everyone is abandoning this feature, Samsung would introduce even more), more buttons on the side of the case (customizable e.g. as a walkman, voice recorder control), dedicated SD-card slot, flat screen (best rectangular and a bit wider) and large battery (5000mAh - if possible removable)

  • Now aday, the one year old smartphone is the old phone, as I think . I got the Note 9, and still learning how to use , the Note 10 came. The Note 11 will be look exactly the Iphone 11 ( ith the notch and the grandma 's stove camera ). Sadly.

  • Note 9 is still one of the best phone, now that the price was cut it's even more better.

  • note9 are not let me down. even now alot new phones coming all of time im happy for my note9! its have all what i need, its fast, connections best kind and screen, audio and userfeel is same as i buy it, super!

  • Still the best in 2019 and most probably 2020

  • I bought it 5 months ago for around $616 in Qatar.

  • When this phone is going to have a price cut? I'm sick of waiting

  • simple: note10 is too expansive!!

  • Thats why i can buy the 128gb second hand version for only 400$ XD

  • Why you DO buy the Note 9 for ?!!. The Note 10 is already coming out to the world. Hold on ! Wait for the Note # next .

  • Depending on what phone you have, i might pick the Note10+ but wait for a drop in price. The Note9 has more hardware features but that already got an android update, so you might not get Android 12.

  • Ah OK with increased $500 !

  • If you didn't have Note 10 plus, go for Note 9 . Its really good by all its features . I prefer even note 9 instead of note 10. Good price good camera good performance good display and good battery with headphone jack and heartbeat sensor... If you find the 512 gb version its more best and very good.

  • I 'ke to buy the Note 9 now - because the price is under $1000.00 Can compare with the Note 10+ over $1,500.00 Can- However, after checking on the Youtube and the comments I confused. Is it the Note 9 good to buy now ? Or waiing for the next one ( Note 11, 12 , or 14 ? ). Thank you .

  • Congratulations! You have done the best choice. Its even more best than s10 plus in my opinion.

  • I had a Samsung S 7 for 5 years all of a sudden is just freeze and wont power up now its a paper weight, decided to purchase a pre owned Samsung Note 9 for $600.00 I have been using for two weeks now so far so good. No complain still trying to learn its function and uses.So far I'm happy but it takes getting use a large handset.

  • I think it more likely to be fake or cloned phone... that why it happen to be not working well..

  • I am sorry that you have faced this issues with the Note9. But I think you have a fake one or have a factory problem. Please contact the nearest Samsung agency to have care on your phone. Good luck!

  • Thank a lot

  • i am addicted to note series of samsung. i found this particular model very bad in term of quality. camera takes time to adjust. there is no 360 built in. battery leaked once and screen got dim on it own. then now its not doing fast charging. it only do cable charging no matter what. really disappointed in this item

  • You need to send the phone to warranty, this vibration on the Telephoto camera is a well known issue.

  • i am facing a problem that when i open camera to take live focus picture then apature cant adjust that n take a while in the mean time phone is vribrating, whats the prblm n solution..

  • Serial number

  • Go for s10 or s10+. More features than note 9. I bought note 9 and took it back for s10 plus. Im glad i did. If you need s pen the note 9. But if dont need s pen then s10 or s10+. Three cameras at the back are amazing. Camera far better in terms of features.. its feels lighter in the hand than note 9. Check both out on youtube and then decide which one suits you. My honest advice to you s10+.

  • How do I lock apps with Pin, password or face ID on Samsung One UI? I can't finger it out yet.

  • After August Security update, SPo2 Oxygen measurement removed from Samsung health app. Can someone have idea how to bting it back

  • Theyre awesome, loud and clear.

  • After the update I notice my front facing Camera can only shoot at 5.2MP Max whereas my girlfriend S8 Front Camera can still shoot at 8MP after update Can someone help me out The quality of the picture is not as clear and sharp and detailed as on the S8 with 8MP

  • Does the stereo sounds good?

  • Apple & Samsung updates & slows every thing just to bore u so u will be forced to buy new 1...

  • i bought my note 9 in November 2018. first the screen became dull and then a shade appeared on it own. i gave it for repair - i was told it screen rupture and battery leak. because it was in warranty they repaired it for free but in the mean time i had to buy another phone. then just recently i noticed its not doing fast charging. no matter what ever cable/charger I use it will not do fast charging. SO MY OPINION IS the built has some defective parts

  • Go to near Samsung service center and ask them to software update. After that it will solve your problems (hakuna matata).

  • Agreed... i hate when reviewers label Note 9 as an old phone.. only feature that i find tempting in a phone is 90 or 120 hz display... no i've not used but i would love to have smooth animation.. and experience it... that is something i am definately looking for in my next NOTE phone... as a camera upgrades i'm very happy with what i have now... gone are the days of nokia 808 pureview 41mp oversampling tech.. used it for 1.5 yrs.. i fondly remember my moments and pics i took with it.. still have those samples with me even today ..

  • 7 hrs is awesome... ive been getting 5hrs approx recently .. i feel could have been better... i will try Resetting the phone once... i know it will get better for sure ;) ....its the android way to fix things

  • I got 7 hours screen on time.. it's nevertheless? 😂

  • Note 9

  • Go for note9. It's a power packed mobile.

  • Go for s10 series. Better than note 9.

  • I took note 9 back and got s10 plus. Go for the s10 series. Note 9 hasnt got the featires that s10 plius has.

  • I brought note 9 back and got s10+. Get the s10

  • I can't choose between s10 and note9? Can anyone help me?

  • ur wlc.. im just inclined to favor note 9..also, its a big phone ..so see if thats an issue for U..

  • Thanks for the reply.

  • choose ur ecosystem ( if u have preference if any )....please pardon my english.. i'll try my best to help u ....and only talk about the key things that differentiate them 1. the ecosystem ...having spent enough time on both... Note 9 and Note 5 before.. and iphone 6s and iphone 8 plus..., without doubt ios is smooth as helll, it does not bog down with age of deice since apple is really gud with updates whenever required for improvements,, IOS is simple fast and hassel free...IOS wins no doubt 2. photo and video... video is incredibly on iphone ( nobody can beat them in that department ) photo is id say really gud on both but samsung does saturate their photos a lot still, even on note 9 generally in dark... but is actually very gud in daytime.. 3. design of phone.. although personal preference.. both are gud but for some who may not be aware the note 9 is hell of a solid built phone.. i do admire the weight of it.. so Both are really really gud .... 4. pen im srry for making a special point for it but .. NO i dont use it as much to its full potential but it still makes the phone stand out.. maybe its also one of the reasons ur keeping iphone xs againts it in the first place... by the way i use s pen to sign douctments, doodle in from time to time to release my inner picsso.. ;) 5. yes the battery is really big on note 9 but believe me it is not the best .. its still is gud neverthless.. iphone i say they are also gud.. im srry some may disagree saying its bad which is alright for me... i ve been getting decently gud battery life from 8 plus ..its old and degraded still strong.. 6. aux... hate to disagree i use it and i miss it on 8 plus... 7. i have to say this .. i cannt find covers in stores for my note 9 .. i have to go online for any accessory.. but iphone stuff is everywhere and in soo many variety.. it is something that may be a deciding factor for some.. 8. PRICE... no matter which one u go for .. BOTH ARE REALLY VERY GUD PHONES... NO REGRET --- in reply to Lb9 ---

  • as a NOTE 9 ( 6 gb ram asian variant in metallic copper ) user... id say only if u want s pen .. go for it .. in general both phones are more than powerful for anyone.. besides ur not gonna be playing gta 5 on ur phone are u ?... both are gud still.. id say go fro note 9 .. i use s pen for drawing, signing, and only other thing i use it for is to click on those small pesky options which my fat finger cannot touch accurately.. also i personally like to have a phone that has everything... --this is in reply to a guy who was asking to either choose btw s10e or note 9...--

  • In my country Note 9 & S10e are selling at almost the same price, which one should I go for?? Thanks in advance.

  • Which is preferable to buy, note 9 or Iphone xs

  • Sorry i forgot to mention that August update was security only. Nothing else. Cheers.

  • Deff sure. Didnt get the AR emoji update. AR emojis on s9 plus with the cmc is great. I liked it because i could use my tablet or phone to ring or text friends. Note 9 not updated like yours. Still got the ordinary emojis. Theres more features with the update you got. Maybe i will get it in next update. But thank you for replying to my comments. Cheers.

  • Are you sure you don't have the new features? You got a more recent security patch than me.

  • My model is N960f. Eu model. Uk.

  • Which Note9 model you got and from which market? Mine is from Latam Version: N9600ZHU3CSG7 So if you brought it from a different market, maybe you will not recive it trough OTA, you might have to manually update it using ODIN.

  • Wait for 6 months and buy it for Half the price, like very other samsung flagship or non flagship devices.👍

  • I have it on s9 plus. I also have it on my tab A 2018. So if you got the s10 Armoji then you probably have that feature in your note 9 hopefully. I have just got August update and those features werent in it. When i bought note 9 few days ago i got August update. No july.

  • Thanks for replying. The feature calls and message continuity is setings then connections. If its there you will see it. Can yoi check plz? Thank you.

  • Security update from July 1st 2019. The message continuity feature... i don't know honestly since i don't have a tablet to test it.

  • Also did you get the calls and message continuity in that update?

  • Can you plz tell me was it july or August update that came with those features?

  • My Note9 got the new S10 ARemoji with that update too!

  • its not the fan took it to the store i nbought it and they told me the was a problem with the camera not suppost to do that i asked them if i could trade it in for the note 10 plus and pay the rest since its in the warranty and they gave me the green light not ive got the note 10 plus not a fault note 9 lucky me

  • Thats good. Maybe we with get update soon for AR emoji and calls & message continuity feature which s great. S9 plus got it and camera on it is far better and more up to date then this camera in note 9. And calls % message continuity is great on s9 plus. I can use my tablet to text and calls my friends if my phone is on charger. With note 9 we dont get that which is really really disapointing...

  • Service center will replace the rare canera. The same happened with me. Now my camera is flawless even while zooming

  • Guys! N9600 Finally got Night mode camera and new live focus effects!!

  • Send your phone for warranty, is a issue with the telephoto camera hardware.

  • Hello note 9 users, i have been using the note 9 for almost a year and recently I have updated the software as per the pop up in the phone system to update...recently I have the camera issues...when I zoom in while shooting video or taking still photo it gets wavy and fade...a vibration sound comes while shooting video...I want the solution how to fix it...

  • Note 9 is way more worth it than note 10 and note 10+ is not worth it's price

  • Honestly just get this instead of the Note 10 it's probably like minimally slower, cheaper, and still has a better battery and screen than the regular Note 10

  • Hi. Thank you for replying When did you get it? Do you think i will get it for my note 9? I really hope i do get it soon..

  • Is it still worth buying in 2019?

  • Yes, I also noticed the battery drain, even charging time also increased. Like previously It used to take 90mnts or so but now it is taking 120mnts

  • I got the update

  • I still havent recieved update for improved stability for AR Emoji And calls & messages continuity ? Did anyone else get this update? Plz reply..

  • If i go into my phone and search calls & messages continuity it shows that its installed. But when i look for it in connections it doesnt show up? Anyone know how to solve this plz?

  • I havent got the feature calls & messages continuity on my note 9 yet. Have users got this feature on thier note 9?

  • Then maybe you should take it to service centre to have it checked.

  • I don't use it more nor less. I use it in the same manner as I always did.

  • I dont think the update caused your problem as i dont have battery problems. It depends how often your on your phone.

  • Don't update if u r samsung user.. Galaxy s7 edge mine also happened.

  • Thank you for quick reply. I restarted my phone as i read sometimes that stops lagging. But i will backup my stuff and do a reset. Again thank you for your advice.

  • On Samsung's own website it also states: USB Version: USB 3.1 Gen 1 So those spec's are correct.

  • If you go to the top of this page you will see 'Specifications', tap on it to see the specifications. Scroll down, & under COMMS you will see: USB: 3.1, Type-C 1.0 reversible connector.

  • Did anyone's Note 9 after the last update got a huge battery draining problem? My used to last from 6 AM to 10 PM, and at 10 PM remaining battery life was like 30 % now it drains to 30 % at 4 PM.

  • If you need that S Pen then it sounds like the Note10 would be better for you, as long as you know that it has no 3.5mm audio jack point, microSD card slot, iris scanner, WQHD display, heart rate sensor & it has a smaller battery. Best to return it for a refund, follow your suppliers return procedure, if you bought it direct from Samsung you have 28 days & I can see other authorised & mainstream stores have 30 days, your minimum statutory rights are 14 days in Europe (I don't know about elsewhere). If you paid by credit (not debit) card then contact your credit card provider to find out about additional refund protection/ assistance.

  • I don't think it has any link to the update but if ur phone is lagging u probably need a reset but just make sure to backup everything

  • Hi guys, am having lil issues with my note 9 I haven't gotten update on my phone since June, and I can't seem to connect my Spen to the phone it keep saying disconnected. Pls help a fellow member with a possible solution

  • Thats the fan in phone making that sound.

  • Are you suppose to do a reset after pie update? My note 9 is very slow since updating? Anyone plz reply and suggest if i should do factory reset?

  • ITS so heavy my hands ache!! im not kiding the size is just too awkward i dont even text that much and im like, nope cant reply my hands hurt!

  • Hi S9+ or note 9? which one in better?

  • Yes. Ive mine set to open bbc iplayer. I change it now and again.

  • Yes

  • S10+ or Note9

  • bixby key can be remaped or not ?

  • Hi mr grey. Im gona buy note 9. Does it get the update with the calls ,& messages continuity and nite mode update? Tnx.

  • Im thinking of buying note 9. I dont like the note 10 because of hole in display for camera. Is the note 9 still worth buying and could you give me your review on it plz. Thank you.

  • I dont know why i never recievce OTA update from sptember 2018 , i try many time search OTA update , but nothing happen ..my note 9 is original , not locked to any carrier , i leave in Tunisia , but phone is come from UK SM-N960F ..any idea ??

  • note 9 or s10

  • Go for the 9 if you want a headphone jack, go for the 10 if you want bigger battery and better functionality with the spen

  • Feature-wise and Camera-wise, which is better, S10 or Note 9?

  • Note 9 is much better over all

  • Tell me guys which one to buy? Note 9 or P30 pro?

  • My Note 4 is still working good; however, I like ti get the new one . Should I get the Note 9 or the Note 10+ ? ( compare the price it's a big difference between them ) . NEED the best advice. Thank You Very Much.

  • The Note9 has had Android 9.0 (Pie); One UI since the start of this year.

  • The Note9 was the 1st Smartphone to have Fortnite, so yes.

  • For me the Google Pixel 3 XL wasn't even a contender, good camera but with low battery, low 4gb Ram, huge notch, poor speakers, no 3.5mm jack, etc. I definitely value the Note9 more than this, compare & see the reviews for yourself: Samsung Galaxy Note9 v's Google Pixel 3 XL: I've seen (but haven't used) 360° protection cases for the Note9 from Spigen, Olixar, Tech21 etc, you would only need these if you're in construction or similar, if so make sure its dust tight IP6 rated. Make sure that dust cannot get in between the screen & the screen protector. The Note9 is already *IP68 rated, if your case is for every day use then I use & recommend the Samsung Galaxy Note9 Protective Stand Cover, it's drop proof (MIL-STD-810G-516.7) for £17 if you shop around (or twice that if you don't). I also had a Note9 TOZO tempered glass screen protector (£6 or £7) which came off after 6 months (I fell asleep on my phone, lol), the screen protector is guaranteed for 12 months & had no problem with visuals, touch sensitivity etc, I just prefer to enjoy my screen with no screen protector for every day use. I have no micro scratches. Here's the thing using just a drop proof (MIL-STD-810G-516.7) case will provide your screen more protection than just a screen protector, if you're cautious like I was then you can use both. I've never used & wouldn't use Whitestone Dome, because of all the failed application attempts that I've read about, but you, an experienced friend or trusted shop may think otherwise. Some cases with magnet closures may affect the S pen, read the reviews, but beware of some fake reviews on amazon etc. *IP68: The 1st digit 6= Protected from total dust ingress (dust tight). The 2nd digit 8= Protected for water immersion up to 1.5m for 30 mins, a river is fine, but if anyone uses an IP68 device in the sea or a swimming pool that water is corrosive, so you should dunk & rinse in tap water asap/ immediately after, then shake off excess water & let it dry (can hair dry but only warm not hot) before charging.

  • Im thinking about buying note 9. Is it upgradable to android 9 ? Can you plz tell me? Thank you.

  • Send it in to be repaired yours is faulty my friend

  • Can u install fortnite?

  • back and forth between the Note 9 or a 3xl. Like the jack, sd card, and mem on the Note, 3xl the barebones android/google. Cameras...have seen enough to see there are strong points on both sides. my only drawback to note is the curved screen edge that i can't get a case to protect (I'd like full protection all the way around the phone. I can get the note right now on contract for less than half of what the 3xl cost. any strong reason to spend the extra dough on the google?

  • I have already note 9,it's more beautiful, big displayed better battery than s10e.s pen extra features. .

  • in gaming you are correct poco f1 will beat samsung note Exynos, but camera no way, note 9 has the best camera ever made for phone, better than note 10+ in front camera at night f/1.7 and back camera is f/1.5

  • if you need quality, camera and feature, get the Note 9 if you need gaming get oneplus 7 pro. still you can get note 9 for gaming but make sure you buy snapdragon 845 as have adreno 630 which is basically better for gaming and PSP emulator, but you cannot root it in case you need.

  • Which is better? Note 9 or s10e or oneplus 7 pro?

  • Yeaaa, mine does buzz sometimes.

  • I don't but the many people that have this issue they sent the phone for warranty, send yours to replace it!

  • hi ive been using the note 9 since it 1st came out! the only problem ive had with the phone is the camera sometimes when i zoom in it starts to go blur and does a buzzing sound does anyone elses have this problem?

  • I'd like to see Samsung increase the video recording time from 5 minutes to unlimited. This will be a big selling point for Samsung Galaxy Note phones. Or, say the least, improve the video recording software to give Galaxy Note users the edge in today's flagship phone competition.

  • 10

  • Note 9 ofc, note 8 has pretty bad battery life time

  • Should I go for Note8 or Note9?

  • I own both and my note 9 is absolutely better than my S9 plus, period,it does everything better and the battery life on my note 9 absolutely kills my S9 plus.

  • It is 3.1 since it can output display mirroring and Dex mode.

  • Does the note 9 come bundled with usb 2.0 or 3.1??? I see 3.1 mentioned but I heard it's bundled with 2.0

  • If I were to ask GSMArena for one thing since March; it would be Galaxy Note 9 long term review.

  • Doesn't exist. Gcam is only working properly with the snapdragon versions.

  • does anyone here knows where to get the latest gcam with working nightsight for the exynos model running the latest one ui?

  • My poco f1 beats my note9 exynos in camera( using gcam) category, I just hope someone develops a stable gcam with working nightsight on the exynos variant running the latest one ui...

  • Absolutely note 9 is the better You can do search compare in YouTube between Note 9 and S9+

  • Waste of Money. With lots of love, i purchased. It sucks with Battery life not more than 8 to 9 hours and second sim always closes automatically

  • Dear GSMArena, please can you do the Samsung Galaxy Note9 long term review. It would be especially useful to those whose want to compare it against the new Note10(+). Kind regards & many thanks for your great work.

  • Am in the same situation before I buy my Note9 you will not regret it go for note 9

  • Should I buy the Note 8, this one or pre-order the Note 10? Tbh, I would definitely go for the Note9 over the Note8. If you're not bothered about the price, the loss of the 3.5mm jack (these 2 bother me) or the punch hole then go for the Note10+ 8gb ram (only heavy duty users with loads of apps going simultaneously would need 12gb ram). Just make sure that it's case fits comfortably in your pocket when you're sat down.

  • I'm not sure if you saw this a few pages back from Mr Grey on 02 Jul 2019: "I have been using my note 9 now for just over a month now and it's one of the best phones I have ever used and it beats my S9 plus hands down and with the price you can get this phone now it's a no brainer in all honesty and I haven't used the S pen much but who cares when it lasts all day with no difficulty and it's just a work horse. I know the s10 plus is the latest and greatest but why pay all that money when you can save a fortune and get this for peanuts now.  I honestly think my note 9 is the best smartphone I have ever owned and I have owned alot of phones,go for this phone you will not regret it.". I agree, the Note9 is also the best phone I've used & I got my N960F 512gb from Samsung last November (Black Friday, which I reckon is the best time to buy) with a free 512gb SD card I made sure that it's case* fitted comfortably in my pocket when I'm sat down & surprisingly to me it does. *Galaxy Note9 Protective Stand Cover MIL-STD-810G-516.7 The Note9 is better, but if you find a much better deal/ bundle on the S9+ then that may swing it for you, try hands on with both.

  • I'm keeping my note 9 for sure. I'm not buying the note 10 for any reason. This phone has EVERYTHING I want and need in a phone even in 2019. What a superior engineering feat this phone is plus, it has a 3.5mm Jack!

  • Should I buy the Note 8, this one or pre-order the Note 10?

  • Still best phone

  • Sure is the best overall also zero risk phone

  • need help please! i cant turn on the selfie shape correction because its greyed out. how can i turn it on thanks

  • Note 9 is better overall

  • still,if i can say that way, bcoz its not old model...anyway one of best phones. new phones have too much builded manufactor rulez, note 9 user rulez.

  • Razer Phone 2 for Gaming performance, Note 9 for everything else.

  • Note 9 for sure!

  • Amazing phone best on earth

  • 2%-3% battery loss in flight mode during a 6-8 hours period is not normal for a less than 1 year old phone. That means an 8%-12% battery loss during a whole day which means 10-12 days stand by battery life in flight mode, thats a very dissapointing performance. My 2,5 years old Huawei Mate 9 with the same battery lasts more than 20 days in stand by when in flight mode.

  • Note 2

  • Can somebody tell me how I find July security patch .....I check Manually every day and didn't receive it til now !!

  • Please which is better Samsung S9+ or Note 9 ?

  • What is the refresh rate in Hz?

  • Note9

  • I have Samsung Galaxy note 9, I checked one Plus 7 Pro from one of my friend have it. shortly i checked and found One plus 7 pro display screen is amazing. anybody have used or using one plus 7 pro , which one is better overall Note 9 or One plus 7 pro. ???

  • nokia

  • Got my note 9 last year 2018 and yes the phone brilliant, cant wait for note 10 5G now.

  • Bro you probably have an app sucking on your battery, you should check in the battery manager

  • Ithere is nothing wrong with your phone. Just read my comment.

  • Front camera will normally change it's MP usage since wide angle option will always use the maximum MP available which is the 8MP. And as for the normal portrait one. It will normally use the 5.2pm option to maximise the zoom feature.

  • night i put my mobile on flight mode and when i wake up in the morning I found battery percentage loses 20%.what can i do guys its very bad for me please help me

  • It's 5.2 Mpx in default mode with narrow angle (more close look with an icon of single person). Switch to multi-person mode (wider angle of view) and check in settings - it will be 8 Mpx

  • My overall experience with this Note 9 is not much impressive if i look back to Note 8 there is no difference at all now the are launching Note 10 which is also seems same in configuration except its body structure, 3 cameras on back and basal less and so on.

  • guys, note9 or razer phone2

  • Selfie camera only 5,2mpx after update. It is possible to give back to shop? Because it is like a bug.

  • I think the low light camera of note8 is better than note9! Am I right?

  • i'm gonna buy this phone when note10 launches... because price will drop after months or weeks

  • Don't worry about. that's normal, you can always switch it off.

  • is there any solution for battery draining ... at night i put my mobile on flight mode and when i wake up in the morning I found battery percentage loses 2 or 3 % !!

  • Can you tell us how much will cost a mobile phone that works on 5G, two years from now!?! Answer: A lot of money!

  • @technoalexxx, Samsung SAR:

  • FM radio it become a bit obsolite in recent years... And DAB radio, I can assure you is one thing that is definately crap invention.. I'm a electronic engineer and I can tell that on paper the idea is ideal implementation for pure, clear sound transmission through the air, but the rule (regulations, regulators... decided) to send instead, compressed music on air! It is so distorted that if you try to use DAB receiver through a Hi-Fi system it sound really really crap! You draw the conclusion about the world we are live in...

  • Got the phone recently on an Amazon Prime day sale - European, Midnight Black, 512GB Storage, 8GB RAM model, along with a 400GB MicroSD card for it. > The screen is nothing short of stunning! Watching HDR content on it is a bliss. > The performance is outstanding - no delays, no lag, everything is crazy smooth, even though I already have 60GB worth of apps installed on it. > The pen is very useful to me as an artist for editing photos I take via my DSLR on the go (Lightroom Mobile) and to sketch out ideas in Autodesk Sketch, OneNote, etc. > Massive amounts of memory is super welcome for emailing and a stupid amount of apps. 8GB RAM ensures nothing needs to be suspended, making switching apps a breeze like nothing else (I am the kind of a guy that has 64GB RAM on a home machine, 112GB RAM at work, etc - I love tons of RAM!). > Voice clarity during phone calls is stunning (so says my missis) > The battery lasts a full day of heavy usage no problem, 2 days light/medium usage. This is with my screen set to 1440p+ native res, instead of 1080P+ that is set by default, as well as the screen being on near max brightness (I like my displays bright, not dim!). That's pretty impressive! > The midnight black phone model lends itself very nicely to black themes, wallpapers, etc. The way my desktop looks seamlessly blends in with the black glass shell of the phone, making the icons and the wallpaper elements "float" in the glass - VERY nice! > Screw Bixby... Overall - I'm super happy with the phone. This will last me years, depending on how the battery holds up. I've turned fast charging OFF to preserve its longevity, since it's not user-replaceable, like older phones used to be.

  • Didn't receive July security update ....

  • its because of the 1440x2960 pixels display the high the resolution the higher the battery consumption

  • I've been used my note 9 a few week, almost perfect phone.. great display, performace, speaker & camera, but battery doent feel like 4000mah😓

  • Any phone gets hot during intensive use and the battery gets hot while fast charging so is expected. Happends to me too.

  • yeas, still one of best phone. all way, but it is best for audio options and quality, includind headphones.

  • I think S9+'s speakers sound has more Bass than Note 9 (maybe louder) ...Am I wrong !!?

  • I have Note9 Model SM-N960F, problem I'm having that it's battery temperature raises sometimes to 43C. feels really very hot from back of phone. It heats up while charging, using hot spot or watching live videos or updating apps or software.... Is it battery temp. normal to raise upto 42 to 43 centigrade. It feels really hot back side. Please update is it normal with the phone or is it faulty handset???

  • I am also from Note 4 to Note 9. If you are used to S pen, go with Note 9 and you will experience few additional features than Note 4. And if you are a photography lover and can live without S pen, then Huawei P20 Pro is the one for you.

  • Bro buy the note 9. Read the specs of both and compare. I'll take the note 9 anyday

  • I had update firmware with night mode camera update but front camera setting downgrade to 5.1mpx ..the spec lens is 8mpx

  • Hi to all, currently I am using note 4 and am very satisfied! But now i have a chance to change it. I am hesitating between note9 or huawei p20 pro. Can anyone give me an advice? What's your experience? Thanks

  • Seems that it happened to everyone. Now is fine though, mine shows 8mpx.

  • Note 9 is way better to 7 plus but take note when it comes to OS support apple os miles away, note 9 get android q only...who knows....s pen also is not fo everyone.... me im a note user and i find it useful... especially at work....

  • note 9 is note for everyone s pen is handy when you need it especially at work but for OS support iphone is still better...

  • 128 is enough for you and there is also micro sd...

  • For example, PRO mode with video recording, the easier multitasking, etc.

  • switch off group selfie

  • I buy note9 512GB...the camera issue is update latest patch .the front camera setting is max 5Mpx..normally is 8mpx..maybe next update can solved this issue

  • I'm going to buy note 9,I'm confused between 128 and 512gb.2nd issue is there really problems in camera.

  • Yes

  • should i upgrade from iphone 7 plus to note 9 ??

  • Congrats for buying yourself a clone.

  • Nice...

  • ya..I just sell my note9 128GB ocean blue, I m borring with blue color and bought note9 512GB metallic copper..

  • mine too

  • It is a hardware issue.

  • What features are you talking about?

  • Exactly

  • If you like features, don't update to OneUI.

  • Hi guys, after the last update the size of the pictures from the selfie camera is 5.2 Mp. Does it affect the picture quality? Thnx.

  • I planning by this month to buy .pls give some.adviced

  • S10 plus ain't worth it. I have the Note 9. The fact that I can see those punch holes, makes me dislike the s10. For better price I will go with the note 9 and the 8GB RAM version doesn't have much difference with the S10 plus.

  • Galaxy note 9 all d way. I have one and it's simply the best. I have the 8GB 512GB version and it's simply awesome. I can run all my emulator here and d speed is fantastic. I urge you to go for the galaxy note 9 if price ain't a problem.

  • Easy answer, save money and get note 9 and the s10 plus ain't massively better at all

  • do you need spen or ultrawide lens?.. I bought note 9 512GB..I need spen and capacity..the price are more cheap from s10+ 128GB.

  • do you need s pen?..or ultrawide lens?..

  • PLs help note 9 or Xiaomi mi9t

  • Guys, What's your recommendation? Samsung Galaxy Note9 or Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus ? I'm so confused.

  • Yes it Shows 5.2MP

  • That is quite normal for your phone to hear up to that level

  • I have Note9 Model SM-N960F, problem I'm having that it's battery temperature raises sometimes to 43C. feels really very hot from back of phone. It heats up while charging, using hot spot or watching live videos or updating apps or software.... Is it battery temp. normal to raise upto 42 to 43 centigrade. It feels really hot back side. Please update is it normal with the phone or is it faulty handset???

  • After new update the front cam is downgraded to 5mp

  • I have been using my note 9 now for just over a month now and it's one of the best phones I have ever used and it beats my S9 plus hands down and with the price you can get this phone now it's a no brainer in all honesty and I haven't used the S pen much but who cares when it lasts all day with no difficulty and it's just a work horse. I know the s10 plus is the latest and greatest but why pay all that money when you can save a fortune and get this for peanuts now. I honestly think my note 9 is the best smartphone I have ever owned and I have owned alot of phones,go for this phone you will not regret it.

  • Why gsmarena not doing long term review of Galaxy note 9

  • congratulations for having a note 9 clone

  • it's a harware problem,go and replace your cera for free if still under warranty

  • their is issues with the Note9 Camera after update.

  • With WiFi and GPS, I got 3% in 8 hours. If you add Bluetooth into the mix, you will probably get between 5 to 8% in 8 hours, provided that there isn't anything paired. If there is, standby power draw will be higher.

  • After the pie update, my camera has an issue. when zooming there is a clicking noise and live focus no longer working properly. any opinion on this? need help note 9 user thank you

  • Do u feel diff in camera module only? First pls check if it really is note 9. U can use IMEI.info or any other relevant site. Usually, their data is correct. U can match color of product etc as well. Then install antutu or any other hardware app to check hardware. If hardware is correct only issue would be of settings. But if hardware is not ok, I fear mobile could be refurbished or replica. In rare conditions camera module can be out of order but for sure it's specs should match by all means.

  • still this is best phone, and now when its price go little down, top 5 i just buy it and not regret.

  • Does anyone else gets popo from a website from YGMT GAMES. If yes how do you get rid off it?

  • Help... I just Brought Note 9 a few days ago.. All Things are great but the Camera Sucks.. Its like Capturing Images from Samsung Galaxy J5.. The Main Camera image file size goes Maximum up to 1.7mb .. the Auto Focus ..Auto Tracking.. tele .. etc doesn't even work.. The main selfie camera only shows the Option of 5megapixels.. Is this even a Note 9 .. I verified my Note 9 with Original dealers.. What the hell is going on.. Just Today Updated Camera and Security firmware Of above 700mb but noting happened.. It stayed the same.. No 8mp Selfie (Option of 5mp and low ).. Blurry camera and undetalied images of size 1.7mp( taken on 12mp 4:3) with all Used Modes and f*king 20 AI .. (Image taken from 4k Video recording Catches image of above 4mb)

  • Thanks for the nice review, what about the standby time? Let's say 7-8 hours of sleeping with wireless, Bluetooth, and GPS on and just the always on display is off...how much is the battery consuming?

  • Got the june update on sm960f

  • I bought a Note9 about a month ago, model N9600 (Snapdragon 845 version), and here are my impressions. -Solid build and awesome display. Very bright under direct sunlight. IP68 rating is appreciated. -Superb battery life. After Pie update, I got 6 to 7 hours SoT, even 8, with mobile network, and up to 9 hours and a half SoT with WiFi. Typical usage are social network browsing, internet browsing, gaming. But it has higher than normal standby. 3 to 4% in 10 or so hours. -Samsung Experience was a bit sluggish, but with One UI, the phone is very fast, responsive and had no issues whatsoever. -Cameras are great. In daylight, the phone takes very nice pictures. In low light, is still good, but not on par with, for example, Huawei. Tele camera is very good too. I don't miss an ultrawide camera, but that is personal taste. Didn't experience blue tint when shooting indoors with flash. -I didn't test the fingerprint sensor before the Pie update, but I did after the update, and I noticed how fast and accurate is. Didn't miss once. -Very good stereo speakers. Loud and clear sound. The phone actually vibrates at max volume. -The best audio quality money can buy. Very loud and very clear. -And if all that wasn't enough, the S-Pen is now active. I'm a productivity kind of guy, and the Note9 is a perfect fit for me. I bought it at 650 euro, and I consider it's a very recommended device. I was considering to buy the Huawei Mate 20, which was cheaper (520 euro), but it hasn't the same build quality, it has sub par audio quality, slightly worse battery life, worse display (and I'm not that fond of notches), slightly worse GPU (considering the Kirin 980 is newer than the SD845) and, more importantly, no pen. The only two things the Mate 20 is better than Note9 is camera and performance (though in real life you won't notice the difference). And honestly, in my experience, Samsung phones are more reliable. At the end, it all boils down to whether you need the S-Pen or not. I need it. But if you don't, the Note9 is still a very good device, but there are alternatives, like the Mate 20 or the S9 Plus if you are into big phones.

  • both great phones,I had the s10 for a couple of days, couldn't life with that hole in the screen, bugged me all day long, so replaced it with the note 9, Note 9 better battery but diffrence not so big, screen quality equal, camera s10 way better but Note 9 does the job well also. build quality same. for me note 9 was better phone in total. s pen very nice to have. S10 is great but that hole made it a no go.

  • I had battery draining issue.

  • I had battery draining issue.

  • Hey guys, I was gonna buy the S10 but i found that the Note 9 had a 50% discount which was a great deal where I live so I have the option to buy the Note 9 at a much lower price than the S10 (Not the Plus)..So is it worth going for the more expensive S10 or not? I like both phones and I'm pretty sure I won't go wrong with either of them but just wanted to hear different opinions.

  • I am huawei user and i love it. But now i wanna use Note phone due to S-pen. So please suggest- should i buy note 9 at $540 or should i wait for note 10 pro??? and what could be the price of note 10 pro... ??

  • I hate the edge curves glass. Because it is a big weak point . 200 grams going down a note phone with heavy gravity 100 %Crashes glass . I told to samsung don't make notes with edge glass .we engineers prefer safety in our work but always using it in outside dangerous places than a guy sitting on a sofa or laying on the soft carpet floor. I broke always the edge glassess watches too . I was waiting samsung make a note like note 5 old frame kind more suitable to big hands . So look like frames to one plusT6 or note5

  • In normal day I would prefer the mate 20. I think it more value for money and has better screen and camera. but in now days I wouldn't buy a product that banned by google.

  • thanks for your advice. I started to read about it some also have this drain battery issue, but many don't. I guess for now that it doesn't worth to try to force this update.

  • S10+ has more new technology and better features and specs.

  • For people who don't really use S-Pen for their daily life, I believe S10+ is better because it has newer technology. S10+ has 3 awesome back cameras for Wide, Telephoto, and Wide Angle shootings (Note9 doesn't have Ultrawide Camera). S10+ has 2 capable Selfie Cameras better than Note9. S10+ has in screen Fingerprint Scanner, more powerful Chipset and GPU, Dolby Atmost/AKG Sound, and 175g Weight compare to 201g Weight of Note9. If I may suggest you, go for S 10+, unless you want the S-Pen.

  • Should I buy note 9 or s10 plus?

  • I have note 9 since three months... very upset with battery performance... I want change to one plus 7 pro or Huawei mate 20 pro.. suggest me frndsss(battery imp and camera, speaker sound imp).

  • Lucky boy....don't update other than you don't want best battery life.

  • Hello, I bought this model (N960F) four months ago and very satisfied at all, but I have an issue with the updates. My phone still stucks with android oreo 8.1 and doesn't get any updates at all. even not one since I bought it. the details of my phone's software (N960FXXS2ARL3/N960FOXM2ARK2) shown it was originally from Malaysia and manufactured in Vietnam. when I try to update it from the phone's menu it said that there are no updates, and the last update patch is 1 December 2018. I also tried to use Samsung Smart Swich from my PC but still no updates. Anyway, someone can help me please how do I get the updates, including Android Pie without doing root or using Odin, which feel like taking a risk to me for a new smartphone. thank you.

  • If you need S-Pen go for Note9. But if you don't really use S-Pen alot go for S9+ which is slightly lighter, thinner, and more comfortable to hold in hand. In terms of battery, Note9 is only better by 11h gsmarena battery test.

  • its the best phone

  • Does this phone supports band 1,2,3,4 LTE? or I have to buy a certain version?

  • I bought S9+ and return back and bought a note 9 You no why... Because of worst battery capacity of S9+ Now i am using note 9... Only size is irritating

  • Iam desperately waiting for beast battery backup.. but from two months it gives average battery.

  • If you want a small phone, go for the S9 or S10e, for my experience, the Note9 fits fine on my pocket, but at the same time, most people have big phones that has even bigger screen size than my Note9 and they can put then in their pockets.

  • I have a 512GB MicroSD card, it works great, speed is good.

  • Hi, I wanted to ask those who have a Note 9 there opinion on the phone. So,I am unsure whether to get this phone because I am planning on upgrading to one of the more recent samsung phones. I am interested in the note 9, but everyone telling me don't upgrade to the note 9. Since, the note 9 is a big phone and it will be hassle to carry it around because you would need pants with deep pockets. Also, I am told it wouldn't be convenient for my job. So, I am torn between note 9 or galaxy series phones.

  • On the microSD is up to 400GB by recommendation of Samsung. Call brand for confirmation and recommendations.

  • note 9 bro

  • actualy samsung have done this...after note 7 battery problems whn battery tem reaches at its peak it stops charging...

  • Note 9 Or S9+ Which one is better option...

  • 43 degrees temperature in my town ...when phone is cool it charging well

  • check if it has any corosion on usb connector, or maybe its liquid damage, if not, replace battery, its quite easy.

  • or maybe has some corosion on connectors

  • replace the battery

  • wats the temp oy the place wher u charge..?actualy samsung says if the battery temp reaches highest point it stops charging u may try to charge at some cool place

  • I have a big problem with this big brick charging stops when it reach 74% plz Help me guys and some time it’s not showing estimated time of charging ..

  • I don't really need an S Pen but it's pretty cool now that it's Bluetooth integrated. And considering that price drop, I could buy the Note9 and another phone for my mom.

  • Note 9 it's still a great phone in 2019. I had one since november 2018 and it works great. I like the form , the fact that still has headphones jack, great battery, display without notch, ip 68 water resistance, stylus pen, very customizable interface. I think it is better than the new Oneplus 7 pro. It keeps a classical style, videos work great on youtube, makes decent photos, after all it is a good option now that you can buy it at around 600 euros.

  • I have a big problem with this big brick charging stops when it reach 74% plz Help me guys and some time it’s not showing estimated time of charging ..

  • No I have the black one, working like a charm. Hope it does for a couple of years

  • The S10+ is certainly a better choice. But like another user said, if you need the pen there's not much choice. Another factor is the dropping prices of N9. I actually bought one today at 650 Euros. Brand new, EU model, Dual sim.. So with the spare change, I also got an 1+7, he he...

  • The only point to buy it if you can't live without S-pen. Otherwise even smaller S10 is a better choice.

  • Is the Note 9 still worth buying in 2019? Or is the S10+ a better choice?

  • I have a similar issue on my Note9. I have currently submitted my phone to the Service Center. However, I was told that it is not a technical issue and they could not do anything about it. When I stressed saying it is an issue, they stated they are checking with the next level team and will update me on the fix. I have also read a Reddit user saying that the issue happens only with Blue Note 9. Is your phone Blue?

  • I have a similar issue with my Note 9 too. I have found a Reddit user say that it only happens with Blue Note9. Is your phone blue?

  • Turn off all the things you don't use like location and nfc etc.. and use phone optimizer every day. In idle my note 9 loses 3 procent over night and is connected with the wifi and network. Use my phone non stop during the day and when I come back from work always 50% or more left. At home always connected with wifi what uses less battery so more SOT. Average SOT is 6 maybe 7 hours a day with 25% left. If you have 2 hours SOT, your doing something wrong.

  • Hello everyone l, i m a samsung note 9 user.last couple of days i have facing a problem regarding camera issue. When i take photo with flash light then picture will be bulish tone like pictire going to blue color l,is it software issue or hardware issue

  • Ok mate no worries bud :)

  • I meant to post it to someone else, but i accidentally pressed on someone else instead. I wanted to press on BetterThanWorse's reply. Sorry.

  • Plz help me frnz.. my phone is not fully charging when it worm ..Most of times it's not showing charging estimation time also...😭😭😭&amp;#128557; #Rip my phone and my english also😁

  • People who aren't lazy and weak?

  • what is the location of Barometer, Compass and Heart Rate ?

  • It is better to bye the Samsung Note9 because the as the Sasamsung S9/S9+ to not have S Pen and it works so much better then the S9/S9+

  • Go for S10+ because Note9 is heavy and feels like a brick in hand

  • dissapointed really, the phone runs warm a lot, even during light use, the number ona cpu temperature app is normal compared to my huawei mate 10 pro but the bottom of the phone feels warm, battery life is also bad compared to the mate 10 pro, the battery is on optimizied "balanced" mode, it wont last a day on light use, 2 hours screen use, 7 hours idle since last charge and its already on 67%

  • Bro not everyone think same as u do. For me battery life is fine. Nowadays big is better for camera, gaming, chats, fb etc etc SIZE DOES MATTER ;)

  • sold this heavy brick.. didn't give me good battery life at all (that's what i always got with Note), pen is useless realistically (the moment they started making larger Sx the Note was dead). Check it: Note7 and older were nice 170g. Who wants to hold 200g monster?

  • hi... how is ur samsung note 9 doing now regarding battery?

  • What you on about rude, how was I rude what the hell you on about

  • Emm yup true bro but not all can put the fact in their head

  • Note 9 is much better in performance when compared to note 8 while playing big games like pubg.

  • OnePlus has no headphone jack, MicroSD expansion and IP certification...

  • One Plus 7 pro @90hz

  • for the same price which is better ? note 9 or s10e ?

  • Just go into settings and reset your phone. But back up all your data before doing it.

  • Bro, stop being rude, it's just a phone like any other phones these days. Accept it as it is because it might be popular some other day (like the day it got out and it gave the galaxy skin or set away). If you wanna express your rude opinions, do it somewhere else.

  • It might be because you were using a normal charger instead of the charger provided in the box that came with the phone. I always use it and i also use the wireless charger because is still fast, but not as fast as the fast wired charging. I recommend trying to charge the phone with a wireless charger or the fast wired charger provided.

  • Hello, how many screen on time hours do you have in this 1,5 days period?

  • If you will use the s-pen, go for the Note9. If not, go for the S10.

  • Tell me process about adaptive battery

  • guys i have option between S10 (128/8) and note 9 (128 /6) for same price in my region What should i buy. Your detailed opinions will be highly obliged

  • Hey Guyss... This is Shani here. Well i was highly disappointed in my initial when i purchased Note 9. Because of fast battery drain issue. Therefore i read about the adaptive battery feature. But with the passage of time it became awesome really and i cant believe it. Currently the battery of my note 9 is lasting more then one and half day with heavy usage and most of the time with 4G on. This is quite surprising and good aspect for me truly. Because for me the major concern is battery and the processor of phone after that i consider the camera and other features. Ultimately i am highly satisfied with the performance of my phone and its adaptive battery feature actually. Which helps the processor to learn about my usage patterns with the passage of time. Thanks Samsung for such a delicate gadget.

  • Samsung phones have relatively low brightness when you manually bump up the slider to max, you should use auto brightness because then the phone boosts beyond the slider and it gets much, much brighter. Battery life on this phone is awesome, you probably have installed some software that drains it.

  • From 1% to 40% charge it took 2 hours and 15 minute's. What happened to my mobile.

  • How can u do that

  • So disappointing about a battery life and its brightness so dim even set it at high level

  • note 9 is must useful mobile ...this time 16 million people use note 9..i advice you can buy its amazing mobile..no battery issue.i love to much Samsung....

  • The battery issue is solved by just doing a factory reset of the device after updating to Android Pie.

  • Dear All, I am using an iPhone 6S and planning to buy Note 9. Pls advise if battery draining issue has been sorted out on Note 9 which was the after effects of software update. Pls guide me accordingly so that I would make up my mind. Thanks everyone!

  • This happen one time when my phone is full discharge and off and after this happen i think my phone battery is weak due to 0% and off what is your opinion

  • I also updated software and app update. Then why i do?

  • Hi.. now I get 6 hours after may update with 17% left. (Did continuous browsing and watching video's).

  • Do software updates for apps and mobile.

  • Battery back up for flagship model of samsung like s8,s8+,s9+,note 8,note 9 is on avarage 8 to 9 hrs,cz it belongs hige ppi and display resulation with its performance. So,it takes more battery power rather then other set in the market. So,if u want to use flagship model then u have to be considered the battery issue.

  • It will depend upon your mobile data connection level and network signal level.

  • My phone is showing an option of up-gradation of software but i am confused should i go for it or not.. need suggestions please

  • Hy friends most of you are used note 9. I have also Note9 512gb version and my phone's in normal condition temperature is 35°c and when used youtube fb etc temperature is closed to 45°c. This is normal or problems . share your experience with me.reply must

  • Hy friends, I have a note 9. But I have battery health issue. When my phone battery 30% it show battery health 95 And when it cross 55 it show 94.2 and near 80% it show 93.5. Any one tell me detail what is this. This happen after april update. Pls reply

  • Very dissapointing, my 2 years old Huawei Mate 9 gives me 8-10 hours SOT in a 50-60 hours of operation. I am now at 57% with 5.29 hours SOT, 39 operation hours all in 3g and wifi with gps and bluetooth closed when not needed.

  • Well battery is beginning to improve now .... Have you all noticed ? Now SOT is almost closer to 6 Hrs after that "infamous" upgrade. Anything, above 5Hrs 30min SOT ... I can live with it. But I really miss Oppo F7 for best performance overall.

  • There's a bluish color when use flash specially when indoor. But aside from that note 9 still worth it to buy

  • Hi Bob, Thanks for your response. What was your screen on time before the "famous" upgrade?

  • Stick with the Note 9. Huawei has been banned in the U.S.A do to the ongoing trade war with China.

  • Don't do that.. wait for settle down software in mobile. After that note 9 will beast again. Present my screen on time is above 5 hours.

  • Don't do anything, just do software updates for apps and Mobile and wait for settle down the software in it.

  • With all this technologies android phones are still very poor because up till now companys are still producing android phones which do not have full automatic program in setting cameras, what I mean by full camera is Laser Senser. This will help the phone to automatically capture the shape of one's face from a distance even before you snap without shaking and with image cleaner the picture will be more clear and beautiful. An android phone should be able to adjust photos automatically and this can't be possible without the program called laser system which helps it read everything even before you press the snap button.

  • Battery Battery Battery Battery Battery Battery Battery Battery Battery Battery Battery Battery Battery Battery Battery Battery How can I fix it pls anyone tell me

  • Super

  • Note 9 Battery *NOT GOOD* at all :( Just bought it after Pie 9 upgrade and with Exynos ... Bad timing I guess. Is there a way to save my investment to go in (Battery) Drain ? Going back to my Oppo F7

  • Note 9 Battery suc#s big time :( Going back to my Oppo F7

  • But displei 763ppi

  • Note9 is better

  • How is the battery now?

  • Wait for a month. Let's settle down the sw.

  • note 9 or sony xz2?!

  • Hey every one this is Shani here. Guys i am using note 9 with And Pie currently and after updating my phone from oreo to pie its battery has become worse. This is a terrible scenario for me as i am highly disappointed to my phone at this moment because of fast battery draining issue.

  • Is the camera good indoors, just read silver comments saying iPhone eas loads better. The cams quite important to me

  • Why do you hate exynos, I'm thinking about getting a note 9 but want to know best one to go for

  • Thanks a lot for ur help

  • note 9 as its newer, the battery depends on your usage both last 1 day ONLY that is 20-24 with basic usage ( email, whatsapp, FB) and 6-8 hours in heavy use ( games, downloads, live streaming). I have both phones and Note 9 is better.

  • Have the phone for 6 months now and works perfectly . Got the Pie update in March or April and was a huge upgrade . No issues whatsoever . Dropped it a few times too and I found out that the metal frame is surprisingly strong.

  • Hi. I'm a lottle bit confused. I have galaxy s8 and i want to upgrade to note series, i found note 8 has nice handeling in ur hand however note 9 has bigger battery. Any body used both to tell me his opinion about battery of both honestly?! Thanks in advance

  • This phone is way above it's piers. It is a phone worth having. Design is perfect. Operation is so smooth. The performance is 100%. So lovely to use. Great job from Samsung.

  • After major software update...do factory reset and wait to settle the software in mobile...(may be it took one month).

  • Don't do it man.. don't update to pie

  • If you root the phone forget about updates, other options: try with smasung smart switch desktop, reformat your device or contact samsung support.

  • I have a S9 plus but I ordered a note 9 just and the price has fallen so much I just had to do it and I can't wait for my blue note 9 to arrive :)

  • This doesn't work. It's the company's fault for making crappy overpriced tech. Huawei or OnePlus all the way ;-)

  • I have Malaysian firmware phone, made in Vietnam..but yet not get any update to pie9, checked it automatically for software update & manually many times daily. but it shows: " The latest updates have already been installed. current version:N960FXXS2ARK2/ N960F0XM2ARK2/N960FXXU2ARJ1 Security patch level: November 1,2018." please advise whats the issue in my mobile ? why im not able to get software update??

  • I don't really mind the battery quality or the call quality as long as it works and it can run some games i like (like Asphalt 9: Legends, PUBG Mobile and a bit of Fortnite, because that's almost the reason why i got this phone for my birthday).

  • You must go to the settings, go down to the bottom and press on Updates. Press on Download and Install Updates and let it search for updates for a bit. Automatic updates aren't the best thing to have turned on. Manually updating it will work for sure. I hope this works! It works for me all the time.

  • no problem here

  • go to connections and then mobile networks

  • Hello friends i get Note 9 yesterday but it's not Update to 9.0 .can you help me to Update my phone?

  • How can i do pls tell me settings

  • put volte calling off

  • NO

  • I recently bought the Note 9. Then I went for a tempered glass screen protector. The sensitivity of the screen reduced drastically. Then in the options, I enabled something called "touch sensitivity". Now it's fine. My concern is, will it affect the battery life significantly?

  • Very same problem here . I was very happy with my Note9 when i bought it . Now after pie , nothing has good for this phone . Next time i will buy iPhone 11 surely . No one should waste hard earned money on samsung flagships . Thanks 🇮🇳

  • After pie update battery of note 9 is very poor and draininf fast compare to oreo and call quality on IMO is very very bad.why samsung could not think about it. After april security update finger print scanner working very slow some time 3 to 4 second. Pls samsung do some thing otherwise you loose your customer interest.

  • I have same problem with my S8. I upgraded to the latest software of April and noticed that my doesn't off when I place the phone on my ear for call. I also observed that proximity sensor which actually controls it (makes screen go off when placed on the ear) not working anymore. I'm use an S8 flip cover that automatically lights up the screen once you open flip. It stopped working. Pls can someone suggest a solution to this. I'm bored about this.

  • Below features added in new update: 1). VoLTE Calls for Sim 1 2). Camera 3). April Security Patch 4).Download booster Multi Screen option is same as it was before.

  • I recently found that the phone's screen is not turning off during the call, whether it's WhatsApp, or default call without internet using the phone app. Anybody knows how to fix it?

  • Does samsung note 9 have option for multiple users

  • Note 9 live focus problem..buzzing sound and not focusing😞 whats the solution?

  • I recently found that the phone's screen is not turning off during the call, whether it's WhatsApp, or default call without internet using the phone app. Anybody knows how to fix it?

  • all this to split a screen.. ok I will carry my laptop it is easier with a mouse and windows 10 os

  • So now the split screen by pressing menu key is gone It’s now two steps you have to open the app than press on top the app To open split screen it’s backwards stupid No more Samsung good bye

  • 1. Open the app you wish to split-screen on top. 2. Tap (or swipe, if you're using full-screen gestures) the Recents button on the nav bar. It looks like three vertical lines. 3. Swipe in from the right edge of the screen to see your current app. By default in One UI, when you tap the Recents button it pulls up the app opened before your current one. 4. Long-press the app icon at the top of your current app's preview until a menu appears. 5. Tap Open in split screen window. 6. The first app will appear in the top sliver of the screen, with the recent apps menu filling the bottom 3/4 of the screen. Swipe through the recent apps to select one or tap the Finder search to look for an app that hasn't recently been opened. 7. Type in the name of your desired app. 8. Tap the app you wish to split-screen on bottom. 9. The two apps will split the screen 50-50 to start. To resize the apps, drag the blue divider line up or down to your liking. You can use the two apps in split screen for as long as you like, and when you're done with your split-screening, there are two ways to end it: Drag the blue divider line all the way up or down the screen to make one of your apps full screen again. 1. Tap the Home button. 2. Tap the X at the top of the screen.

  • Split screen is under multitasking press the app icon on top it will give split option. Good luck

  • After update the phone the security patch April 2019 the split screen not working anymore by by pressing the menu key anybody know how to get it back

  • with Samsung one has to learn how to use the camera, there are so so many features. Apple is a bit behind today. Android is open do what you like while apple is closed

  • Nothing really spectacular, just the same as before. Solid as a rock. Maybe just maybe I notice that my battery is slighty less, but just have a new game installed, so could be that too

  • I was using iphone 7 plus for 2 years anda now i switched to Note 9. In artificial light iphone's camera is much better. But in the daylight note's is the best. The screens you can't even compare also note's battery is better. In conclusion if i would bind iphone's camera and system and samsung's screen al battery and fast charging.

  • Same problem 😭

  • There is a 3D touch home button, that's missing in the description

  • device maintainice use it to clean the phone

  • yes came yesterday north europe

  • Note 9 as you have note 3. It will last you 3 years no problem

  • Is there any changes with April update? Which you belongs to?

  • Dear All i need your help to decide between 2 phones. (both same price) Mate 20 (non Pro) Note 9 (Exynos chipset - 6 gp ram - 128 GP) i am an average user - average web surfing - social media - playing Pubg 3 times a week - average photo taking) my current device is note 3 (running for the 5th year now - i was able to unlock it and install customs roms without issues) i am looking for a device which can last at least 3-5 years ahead. my only concerns here are related to the screen type and quality and the speed of the device on the long run (after 1-2 years) . while the note 9 has super amoled screen with 515 ppi, the mate 20 had LCD with 381 ppi (my note 3 has 386 ppi). in terms of chipest Mate 20 has Kirin 980 (7nm) while note 9 has exyno 9810 (10nm) i am not using the stylus pen that much at all. (some times months without using it) any advises why i should choose one phone over the other and what are the pros and cons . i want something reliable can be used for heavy gaming sometimes and usual activity youtube, texting, facebook, web surfing , work related emails) thank you all for your valuable help

  • Same problem with me What to do

  • I'm on the april patch, received it 3 weeks ago. In belgium, exynos off course.

  • Not yet i think samsung forget to provide as they are busy with S10 Series

  • I have fast charging problem. Since few days my note 9 is not showing actual charging time, earlier it was all right. But nowadays sometimes it shows how much time it will take to charge full but after sometime this charging time disappear. However if i replug it then also sometime it shows and it does not. Meanwhile my charging speed is also slow down. I have try another charger also, same problem with that also. Please suggest anyone regarding this issue.

  • PUBG have no Mercy for any phone Battery

  • This is perfection at its best, I have used the phone for the last six months and I have nothing to complain about it. Thank you Samsung

  • I dont think there is one yet...

  • Had any one received april security patch for note 9?

  • On fast charging option in battery settings

  • how is this phone for PUBG... exynos version ?????? is there any lag, heating , battery drain issue while playing pubg ?? i seriously hate exynos, wanted snapdragon. but its not available here

  • i think this phone buy seriously. it have excellent screen and sunlight nits, long battery lve, excellent, even best loudspeakers and also speakers quality and power. pen is extra speed and camera are still amazing, you dont need better and what is important no idiotics hole in screen. only bad is weight, but you handle it. im thinking P30 pro, little, just little S10+,and few another, and i go note 9...but i must wait note 10....i buy note 10 IF it had NOT hole type front camera. if it have mynext phone is note 9

  • Had s10e for 2 days, amazing camera and screenquality and ok battery life, but the hole in the screen annoyed me to much. So traded it in for a new note9, for me the best choice. Camera still more then ok, screen is best of the best, battery life best I ever had and overall just an amazing all round beast. And no notch or hole. Try them both in a store and choose for yourself.

  • Note 9

  • If you want performance phone then get Note 9 if you want compact phone get S10e

  • Just upgraded from an old note to note 9, I am really amazed by this phone. I recommend buying it

  • It’s funny that many are expecting to get advices to buy other than samsung, you have to understand that most of them her under note comments are either note users or potential users how you ask them about their opinion about something else like iphone or huawei...etc, even if someone is honest he will be always sided to what he knows better.( samsung owners=samsung better, huawei owners= huawei better, iphone owners= apple is better ......)

  • don't buy p30 it is expensive and it is same like p20pro

  • I am same problem

  • Change your charger

  • Note 9 or S10 please sugget me I think about security note 9 has also iris scan vs s10 face regtion Please reply

  • Just get the Note 9..its a beast...bigger battery...bigger screen ...no notch...SD845 still powerful..still.. im using the note 8

  • To people in the US: I have the Nexus 6P now, and I want to upgrade. Do I get a Snapdragon S10+ or Note 9? I've never owned a Note phone, so I don't know what it's like to miss the S-Pen, but isn't it better to have the S-Pen even if you don't need it, than to realize you need it and not have it? Will I notice a difference between the SD 855 and SD 845? How is the battery life and standby time between the phones? I'm not a heavy user. I don't play games or benchmark, and I only take point-and-shoot photos, so I need a phone that won't lose a lot of battery when I'm not using it. I'm planning to keep my next phone for three years, so I'm not worried about 5G, but I want to be as future proof as possible. What should I do?

  • My note 9 taking 2:30 to 3 hrs to charge 1to 100% From 4 days before 4days it charging time was 1:50mins is that any problem? Plz tell me frnz

  • My note 9 taking approximately 2 - 2 :30hrs to charge 1 to 100% is there any problem? Plz tell me frnz

  • Note 9, p30(not pro) and s10e, which one should I get? I am planning to use this phone for at least 3 years. I concern more about the screen, camera and game performance. Please suggest me and why?

  • Go for Note9

  • Go to setting clic on 🔍, type sleeping apps then 🗑 delete any app you want it to keep running in back groud. This is implemented by one ui to save battery. Hope this will help.

  • If you care about screen size(media consumption) and games and battery life take the note 9, if you care about privacy and user experience take iphone i have both iphone xs max and note 9. I love them both no idea about galaxy s10.

  • Hello everyone. I will be buying new phone this week. My budget is 750$. I am very much confused between iPhone XR, Samsung S10e and Samsung Note 9. Which phone shall i buy and why? Please help a brother out. ps-I am switching from Motorola G5 plus, I know.

  • Absolutely yes

  • Hi. I have a problem with One UI on my Note 9. After some time apps in a background mode are closing up even fixed in the multitask mode. How can I fix it?

  • I have a note 9, and had all notes and liked them all. But since note5, the most frustrating thing about it, is that it is launched on the second semester, with a first semester processor, that had been beaten by the iPhone's processor of the previous year. Since Note 5, it is ALWAYS one year of performance behind the competition launched alongside it. =((( Nowadays, the only thing keeping me on the Note is the s-pen which I need to work. I used to love the fact that it is a mini cintiq by 1/8th of the price. Nowadays I use to hate that it is still the only one.

  • note 9 is far better.

  • Need help because after the pie update. Live focus no longer works. Asking that need 3-5 ft away from the subject due to lightning condition. An feedback will be appreciated

  • Of course Note 9

  • Pakistan - Better go for Q mobile

  • little wait u bro update hits ur phon soon other wise serch ur model latest official update .. and ..

  • Till date buying note 9 is worth or no?

  • Every device should be double sim with micro SD card, &call recording options. This kind of set will be more preferable.

  • Your phone having some problem I updates my phone 2 months ago. Go to service centre and checked your phone

  • i have purchased yesterday Note9 in pakistan, unable to update to pie9 ? when i click on software update, it shown you have already latest version. does anybody update to pie9 in pakistan ?? or my phone have some issue !!! pls. reply. shall be highly thankful.

  • yes it will work fine

  • Very nice phone but don't update to pie

  • Yes. Both have 5V output so it's fine . The phone will "tell" you if it's fast or slow charge. The new adapter has a 9V output beside the 5V (tha's how it does the fast charging.) Qualcomm's quick charge can charge at 12V as well.

  • Huawei p30 pro, new features, better Cameras and best battery life, Note 9 only for styles Pen and design if you want.

  • I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 9 512gb version But after After the update of Android pie, it does not get better if you call it on the Internet or on WhatsApp.How do I solve this issue please answer me soon. I mostly used IMO for call and voice distortion every time. Any one have solution for this problem.

  • i want to know your opinion. what smartphone is better to buy? note 9 or huawei p30 pro?

  • Yes! There is technically no difference between the white and black adapter other colour and cables

  • yes it is !

  • More of a technical question than opinion, but maybe someone here knows the true answer since calling Samsung wasn't a helpful as I would have liked. Yesterday I bought a Samsung Galaxy Note 9, I like it alot so far. My previous phone was a Note 4. The "Adaptive Fast Chargers" look the same and have the same model number aside from a B on the one that is black and a W on the one that is white. I know the cords are different but are the chargers actually the same. Under charging on this site the specs for both phones are listed as 15W. Can I safely and appropriately use a USB-C cord with the white charger that was for my Note 4 and have my Note 9 fast charge correctly?

  • you can also try to clear all the apps data (cache/may be other too), becuse they also store old data (this is just a suggestion, no proof)

  • Guys I have a S9 plus but I am considering getting a note 9 because of the price drop and it would also be my first note phone and I really like the whole idea of the s pen thing. Do you guys think its worth it at all and have any of you gone from the S9 plus to the note 9

  • Same happened to me as well. I believe it is because the apps installed in your phone are not yet optimised for Android Pie. So you should go ahead and update each apps once they are optimised for Pie. I noticed that my battery is getting better after updating other apps.

  • After pie update my note 9 battery performance decreased. What I have to do get old one for best one( go back to oreo or waiting for next update?) Please tell me friend's

  • See Photo & Video Comparison for yourself: Mate 20 Pro, Note9 & P30 Pro: Photo: Video:

  • note 9 has a beter video quality and stabilisation and its cheaper and bigger but mate 20 pro takes good pictures and at low lightto and its smaller so.. its up to you what do you want

  • I used the Note9 as a reference & waited for the review of the iPhone XS Max (which was bad value for money) & the Mate 20 Pro (I didn't like display or sound especially when plugged in, the MIUI or it's PROPRIETARY NM Nano Memory cards that cannot be used in any other devices, I like the P30 Pro's low light & zoom camera though). Maybe Apple is better for privacy Idk, if so then Samsung better get it sorted. I checked them out in real life & I'm glad I went for the Note9 8GB Ram 512GB with a free 512GB microSD for less than the base 64GB 4GB Ram XS max! There was no deal for 6GB/ 128GB Note9. As soon as I saw the news of the punch holes in the S10+, I went ahead with the Note9. No I don't need 1TB of Memory but I'm future proof, I never worry about battery either & doubt those that say they have a battery problem. In Europe the battery is guaranteed for 1 year & the phone for 2 years (parts & labour, not accidental damage). Check it, or it's case fits in your pocket. Only buy from reputable trusted sources, brand new, sealed box, contact your local Samsung if in doubt. It's now on Android Pie with One UI which some (now also myself) prefer to stock Android. GSMArena should be doing a Long Term Review soon, but they've been busy with all the latest releases. We're all different, therefore our best choices maybe different too, just know (workout) what's best for you :)

  • Note 9 off course, wider screen, better camera, better screen, amazing battery, and high support from Samsung on update every month.. and off course the pen !!

  • I have been facing serious wifi issue with my device. It starts to show no internet after a while. Only switching it off and on solves this. But again the problem shows up. Is anyone facing this?

  • Guys, What's your recommendation? Samsung Galaxy Note9 or Huawei Mate 20 Pro? I'm so confused

  • Must you update your phone to pie? What's so special about pie? Shut up and stop complaining. Samsung have nothing to do with that. Kids of these days are so ridiculous.

  • Always do a factory reset after os update

  • Ok don't update for pie

  • Not only you bro, so many are there experience like this

  • Change music player

  • Best phone I ever had.

  • After the update i can no longer change music on lock screen even using headset. Badly need help on this

  • Need help! After the update my battery drains so fast. Do you experience this?

  • I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 9 512gb version But after After the update of Android pie, it does not get better if you call it on the Internet or on WhatsApp.How do I solve this issue please answer me soon

  • They shouldn't be putting that infinity o with this one. That infinity o is uglier than the ugliest man alive.

  • N960U1 this is the US unlocked version Oreo 8.1 January 2019 security patch

  • What software your mobile have?

  • Don't update your mobile

  • Hahaha you have to do it first. First of all you have to learn first

  • This phone is so good! I can play all sorts of games on high settings and it works just fine. I really love its resolution and other specs. I personally have the phone (my dad bought it for me on my 16th birthday party which was last year on 16 Nov, it costed £899, but the price doesn't matter as long as this phone is a gaming beast).

  • Note 9

  • Ofcourse Note 9

  • Go To settings Type in search( sleeping Apps) From there you remove the music opp To keep it Running in background. IHope this fixes your Trouble.

  • Songs have started getting stopped automatically without pressing a single button both in default app and in the app I have downloaded from Samsung's own app store (Galaxy Store). This ridiculous piece of scrap gave me very same trouble like month and half ago. It was fixed at Samsung's authorised service centre in Dhaka along with some added other disadvantages. I have started hating Note series I used to love like anything.

  • Why do you updating ? Newer does not always means better.. i dont like android pie at all this phone was made AND OPTIMIZED WITH OREO 8.1 anything above is to make the phones slower etc ,Samsung service disabler did the job done with disabling updates which are basicaly forcing you to upgrade and buying newer phones same thing happened to my tv ,everything was perfect until i decided to update then the problems started... My Note 9 is still on january patch and im totally fine with this...battery almost 2 days without charging after charged to 85% only... I love this phone

  • Few days ago there was a massive system update. After that update Note 9 is successfully proving to be simply a piece of shit. I have been seriously considering to shift to iPhone (though I'm one of THE MOST CRAZIEST user of S Pen - I had Note 3 and Note 4 too)

  • I am not getting update to android 9.0yet.Now I am using android version 8.1 Can anyone help me?

  • Htc u12 plus for 500 euro or note 9 for 600 euro.?

  • note 9 unless it undercuts something severely in your budget but it has a better display being higher resolution and without a notch, IP68 water resistance, bigger battery, better audio(both speakers and a headphone jack), a physical FP reader is more reliable than the optic one in the oneplus, S pen features, and better cameras. The software is debatable though as samsung has a pretty customized software while oneplus uses a much lighter skin close to stock with extra customization features.

  • Thanks. How long have you been using your Note 9? How's the performance? Is there any lag or hang or any stuttering?

  • Note 9 is no doubt one of the best phones in the market but XR is not a bad choice either , it might not have the features note 9 has , but apps runs better on iPhones . I have used android since the cup cake version came out and I still like android but they need to fix a few issues . App doesn’t run as good on android and security concern .

  • Need help please !!! I am facing problem while playing media files like YouTube or any other media file, voice coming through the earpiece only most of the time same like during call. Even sometimes when i open the phone and up or down volume button it show "In-Call Volume"... i tried to reset the handset 3-4 times but i am facing same problem.

  • If you doesn't need the Spen then I will choose Oneplus...

  • nah you're just trolling here :D

  • The note 9 will be getting next years update and possibly the update after that as the Note FE got Android 9 too. Most people upgrade their phones every 2-3 years anyway so they won't need it for so long. Kind of sad how you went from the most feature packed phone on the market to such an overpriced phone and featureless phone for pretty much no reason.

  • Camera is great, not the best but I can take very good photos with it.

  • if this is the last phone without a gimicky notch for the next 2 years,I am happy to live with it. Stop buying samsung for 1000$,it should be priced at 600$. then it will sell like pancakes,

  • Hey guys, I am confused between the Note 8 and the Note 9 because in India, Note 8 is ~36k and the Note 9 is 60 to 67k. Is Exynos 9810 much improved over the Exynos 8895? Also is the Note 9 51GB worthy to consider? Please I need help.

  • I was also confused between both choices and finally i settled with note 9. The display is a big difference. There are comparison video. I was only skeptical abt the charging speed of note 9. Its not much behind than 6T. Charges device from 0 to 100 in hour n 45 mins.

  • 579 Euro Oneplus 6T or 650 Euro Samsung Note 9 ? Which one do you guys recommend?

  • There is a lot of experience in phones, I change once 6-12 months depends on the model. Before this latest s8 were - well, very little of the screen 5.8, it is not as elongated 18.5 9. About this say that for me personally, the sizes are convenient, thought there will be problems to carry in a pants suit and sit in shorts and jeans, but no - everything is comfortable and no discomfort. Took for fun (Snapdragon) version with only 512 GB were available, I wanted a gift for OTHERS has not diminished the memory look - took 850$ grey (23.12.18).

  • go for note 9.. S6 is outdated software with latest software samsung bring better software just restart the phone all the cache will be clear haha

  • dont be upset, relax , suck candy and buy s10+ as its newer

  • let me put in perspective...you don't need 5G unless you are eager to brag in front of your friends; 4G or LTE is more than capable of providing you best streaming experience; yes, I know, 5G will make best WiFi obsolete but this does not mean that I will make my phone a wifi router to prove its capabilities...just buy a device...when you need a device like that - I am not telling you what to do with your money but "process" your acquisition before you decide what and if you're going to buy a device with 5G. Best of luck!

  • Wich is best Note 9 512 GB or S10 plus 128GB I'm in very upset

  • Sorry but think you misunderstood me. I meant that, according to me, it is not worth to spend more than 500-600 euros for a device which doesn't support the 5G (not for a one that supports it). You took my sentence in the other way around.... I perfectly know that a device with 5G is gonna cost over 1000 euros but I am not even interested in, at the moment... 5G smartphones will be interesting maybe as of mid-2020, and what I meant is that spending right now more than 600 euros for a device which does not support it, and then re-spending 1000 other euros next year for a 5G device will not be the best idea. Hope it is clearer.

  • Poor battery life, its draining fast even in standby

  • 1. you won't find a device which supports 5G at 5-600€ even in a new device. 2. few European countries have implemented 5G network, and those that did, only few cities are covered. 3. Outdated specs: Note 9 has more than ample specs for a daily/powerful device. Ergo, if you want a device capable of 5G network, latest specs and cheaper than 5-600 euro...you're on the wrong planet....no offense

  • Thaks Bob

  • Hello! Does anyone know where we can buy an European Version at the best price? The device looks great, but honestly it is hard to spend more than 500 or 600 euros for it when you know that it is already outdated in all specs and also does not support 5G for the future... Moreover: can anyone, who owns it, give a feedback about the camera and quality of pics? Thanks!

  • Yup

  • does samsung note 9 support in both the sim slot 4g in india ?

  • When using the zoom lens, buzzing and vibrating occur. After searching the same problem from the Internet, many Note 9 users have got the same experience about the zoom lens. Some said that the problem can be fixed by clearing data and cache, some have got their component replaced, etc. It is really frustrating and disappointing that the flagship, pricy phone has such problem after using for a few months . I have approached official technical support. I was told to reset my phone to factory default settings with a view to fix the problem. If not successful, bring it to their service centre. I just think that if so many customers got the same problem, the company should seriously and proactively address and rectify it. It is a pity if it is another failure because of problematic battery. Customer trust and loyalty on the product are losing.

  • Hello. I am looking forward to upgrade my Oneplus 5T. & I'm confused between Note 9 & Oneplus 6t. Price difference is not the factor. I really liked the Note 9 after using it for a few minutes in the store. But I am concerned about lagginess & performance degradation that occurs in samsung phones after 1year+ or so. My last samsung was S6 that also had same type issue after long period whereas my current device OP5T doesn't lag at all even after 1year+ period. Its buttery smooth like new. Also I am concerned about battery drain & future update avialability for Note 9. My desire to leave Oneplus for now is only due to the fact that it doesn't have as much as a good camera like Note 9 nor does it look or feel as premium as Note 9. Also the new OP6T doesn't have 3.5mm audio jack which I use a lot. I am not sure how the supplied usb to 3.5mm dongle will perform :-( Which one should I go for? Any honest opinion would be highly appreciated. Thanks.

  • completely agree with you on this one and this is the most sensible comment i've ever seen in this website!

  • If always updated OS is what you're after, then stick to your iPhone. That's the only good thing you can have with iPhones. Note 9 will always better than your overpriced iPhone.

  • I'm coming from Note 9 to iPhone XR. This phone will have no update next year and my iPhone XR will always rock the new OS every year. Guess , invest your money on the phone you can't be buying new phone every year. iPhone XR is an investment. You guys are not teens to look for more features as if you'll have time for them ,,,

  • Best phone I've owned so far. Switched from the lg g5. I do miss the universal remote function, double tap to turn on/off screen, and smart settings the lg g5 had, but other than that the Note 9 is a definite beast. Lasts a day and a half, more if you don't use the AOD, pen is useful for me as an engineer, big screen and tons of features. Glad I chose this over the note 8.

  • This is about after pie update or oreo update

  • best phone , 2 days battery backup god feature everything OK Thanks samsung

  • Note 9 or google pixel 2 xl? Im really torn between this two

  • This is an amazing piece of tech, I have been using this phone for more than 6 months now. even when all the battery consuming services (wifi, GPS, bluetooth, sync) is on, It can last a day without recharging.

  • where do you live , fail faik

  • nonsense, learn to use it first. If u dont use AOD put it off use power saving. I have everything on ( AOD, sync, location...) and it easily lasts me 1 day

  • Just bought it.....still enjoying yet to distinguish good from bad

  • Don't worry my Note9 battery only drain a little bit faster after Pie and and One UI update, but the phone is vey good. I very much hope there won't be any software sluggish in future updates.

  • This phone battery is very poor. Draining very very fast. Please think twice before you buy it.

  • the people who can buy flagship phone usually dont mind with the network data quota and have IoT smart home that doesnt need IR blaster anymore :D

  • Note 9 definitely if mate 20 it must be pro

  • Go buy a Chinese mid range and you'll be more than happy. No flagship has what you want.

  • useless reply

  • Which better note 9 vs mate 20 not pro

  • Just forget about IR blaster.. it can work to TV remote control without ir blaster..

  • Nobody cares

  • im using xiaomi phone to replace IR blaster on my note 4 haha

  • your next phone should be NOTE 11 like I will do after my note 9

  • How is the battery performance after pie update?

  • i upgraded from the s6 edge to the note 9 and i really miss the ir blaster

  • do a backup first and then a factory reset

  • Im using note 4 before than note 9 now and not interested for s10 series which downgraded for security feature haha.. i will used my note 9 until note 15 release :p

  • I must say after having the Note 9 almost 7 mounth this phone is still excellent fantastic performance great carmera excellent batterylife flawless in performance ya and then the s-pen which is a must i will keep the note 9 for an other year dont see any reason to upgrage to the s10+ it is nt that much better.

  • After the PIE update, my note 9 battery drain fast and some feature does not work. very upset

  • No FM radio, no IR blaster, no buy. Goodbye Samsung.

  • Note9

  • Maybe this is the last samsung phone that have best security feature than 2019 flagship

  • if only note9 looks like a8+ (2018) that would be great.

  • How was the camera performance of note 9 compared to s10 plus

  • Compare to S10, Note 9 has much better in battery life. Compare to S10+, still Note 9 has slightly better battery life. See GSMarena battery Test Table below:

  • That's what happens when people only choose phones based on (useless) specs and forget about everything else.

  • The G51 is slower than the G71. Newer doesn't mean better. Like the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660. More recent than RTX2080 but slower.

  • Hi guys, tell me I buy a new note9 last night. And now i download 1500MB pie download but i read comments. Some one tells after pie some problems like battery draining fast call quality very poor. Plz reply me your experiences

  • Which one have best battery backup? Note 9 or s10

  • Almost flawless aka like a night/day compared to note4 (using it since 8/18)

  • Lol. Just look at the mirror

  • excellent I have Note 9 and S10 also. Note 9 is better

  • How is the performance like for Note 9 overall. I am planning to pick one.

  • I totally agree.. I am not sure what's the point is removing bezels and then keeping things as a hole in the screen and sacrificing sensors.

  • If note 10 loooks like the s10+ with dead pixels on the screen with less sensors in front, and only a camera at top. Its really goodbye for samsung for me. The worst point of smartphones is 2019. Everything goes expensive with less sensors, only adding ram and adding storage and updating chipset + adding more number of cameras, and that what a flagship device already. Totally pointless designs also.

  • You have to have 5g signal area where you live. Not all networks are up to date on 5g. Some cant even get 4g. So buying a 5g phone doesnt mean you will get 5g.

  • I have an Note 9 u model factory unlocked i have not received pie update yet. any one tell me when pie update available on u model

  • Which one take better selfies note 9 or htc u12 plus?

  • I have the 512 version. Battery life is pretty good. I'm about 7 months in on usage. Battery does drain if you are running a good deal of apps and constantly using apps but recovers well. What also helps is the battery and its liquid cooler. which is massive compared to others. You cannot go wrong with this phone. The only thing I would say is keep a magnet away from the phone as the pen becomes useless since the signals would be distorted.

  • I want to get me obe of this. Upgrading from note 4 bc i have not liked its battery performance. How is the battery life for the note 9? Also wondering about the dutability.i do not like covers and glass protectors....my note 4 has survived 5years now no cracks wxcept for the plastic back cover...is this possoble with the note 9,with all the glass ?

  • After you update always reset your phone. I mean factory reset believe me it will be the best thing and you will be amazed by the phone performance.

  • note 9 comes with 6/128 and 8/512. 256gb is clone

  • I'm using note9 almost four months ago, now I have just updated to android pie9 I have nothing any causes problems. I love it. Note I'm using global versions. If u have any questions please ask....

  • is there note 9 with 256GB/6GB ram? or its cloned one

  • For the statistics Is your note 9 with snapdragon or exynos?

  • Yes exactly same problem is here even when I want to attach audio file in WhatsApp its showing blank and shows no audio file to send or attach Why is this so ? What should I do ?

  • S10's amoled screen is quad hd, so it would drain battery at about twice speed. Check amoled battery issues on Google.

  • Im a note 9 user since the launch week, and the battery is the best, with moderate use it lasts day and half (for me). So i charge it every two days more or less. My note is the exynos version, not the snapdragon one.

  • Its a true that after updating software some models of Samsung brand creates a lot of problems including S series and Note series. I am using Samsung Note 9 after software upgrading some times hangs, when someone calls, callers detail not shows, if some one calling from social media like WhatsApp screen stayed blank except ringing. same problem is with S9+. So that i request to Samsung to please resolve the issue and launch new version of the software at your earliest. Thanking you

  • Any battery issue with this Note 9? I heard battery drain fast ... need some feedback. Thanks in advance !

  • Yep.Updated from the Nore 3 to 8..now 9.Great phone. It turned itself off last night when i was awaiting a call in the very early hours for a remote area delivery.Missed the call.Strike one.Hit record video at kids graduation..phone says recordimg failed.Need to restart phone(lengthy process).Missed the opputunity.Stike 2.Only one to go..then maybe back to.Apple which i really don't like..esp battery, but anything for a stable phone.Don't care for a multitude of solutions like removing memory cards, checking apps..and factory resets when nothing on the phone had changed before issues. We shall see.Uograde due..but not likely to s10.

  • Battery drains faster after Pie and One UI update. I bought my N9 in mid Oct '18 and the battery life is a little bit better in Oreo (only Samsung knows why ?) Samsung should put 5,000 mAh battery in the Note 10 and do software optimization to have a decent battery life.

  • I bought Samsung galaxy note 9 three days ago stillbi haven't received Samsung one ui software update

  • Open settings/ connections/ mobile networks/ network operators /select manually then select a another network operator (not your network operator) then select your actual network operator... this method works for me

  • I am loving latest one ui But please samsung change the gallery application icon thumbnail it looks ugly please samsung

  • How is the battery backup after one ui update????

  • note 9 cuz s pen

  • Hey guys. I bought my Note 9 about a month ago and back then It suggested me to upgrade to android Pie but I was not sure so I decided to try android 8 with my note for some time. Now that I have decided to upgrade to Pie, it says you software is up to date. (Update is no longer available) Can you guys help me out please?

  • Just received the Pie update to NZ unlocked device.

  • samsung note 9 or samsung s10 plus??

  • You won't regret it. What an amazing gadget the Note 9 is. The perfect business tool when on the move, it excels at every single aspect. And it's better value for money than any S10.

  • My Note 9 will be here on wednesday the 27th and I can't freaking wait.

  • If video and sound is your main concern than S10+ is so so much better for you. Here we are S Pen gang

  • If you put this question than Note series is not for you. Why bother. There is S10+ so so much better. And more compact

  • Though it is rather large, I myself find it easier to manoeuver one-handed than previous Notes. It is heavy and a little slick however. I like it.

  • I want to buy the Note9.Can someone tell me if the Note9 is too thick and uncomfortable to use?

  • Just wait. Once (if) Huawei has their own OLED display and camera sensors, they would join into 1000 bucks flagship party soon.

  • Samsung has dive into processor, camera sensor and OLED display technologies a long time ago, and their spending rate would rise every single year. Huawei just started it about just a years ago. Dual NPU was sounds good and gimmick at the same time but they still lack in GPU components.

  • Huawei doesn't have his own processor, only Implementation. Did you ever seen any custom core like Mongoose? of Kryo? No, Kirin is a Soc with custom CPU-GPU combination, not Like Exynos or Snapdragon.

  • HUAWEI also has their own processor, called Kirin. And for the Kirin processor, if it is a midrange CPU, then HUAWEI also will give a up to date midrange GPU to it. For example, Kirin 710, it was released on September 2018. The GPU is Mali - G51 MP4, a midrange GPU from July 2018. How about SAMSUNG? Just look at the Exynos 7885, an upper midrange processor too which was released on early of 2018. But the GPU is Mali - G71 MP2, an entry level GPU from June 2016. And the successor of Exynos 7885, Exynos 7904 which was released in the end of 2018, also using the same GPU.

  • I voted against for infinity O display, not it is there. I hope the note series will notnend up like the s10 series.

  • Samsung has their own processors and camera sensors, so it might spent much money to do R&D. While Chinese phones just ordered almost every components and reassembled to be a phone. That's it.

  • Never think that Note9 is waay more cheap than S10E or S10 because of that price listed : 750EUR, that price comes in 6gb ram 128gb storage, and you see the price S10E is about 780EUR and S10 is about 930EUR IN HIGHEST ram and storage. *Remember that 8gb ram and 512gb storage for Note9 is about 1000EUR more way expensive than S10E or even regular S10! - so the point is, S10 is not expensive than Note9 (except S10+ and S10 for 5G model)

  • Need help guys After the Pie update. My headset button no longer works and in the lock screen i cant change music

  • No. You are wrong. My Note 3 Screen still shiny bright and colors are also accurate. Make year of my Note 3 is 2013. So 6 years and still this beast is running in perfect condition. AMOLED screen wants some care, just make sure when you are in sunshine do not use auto brightness, instead adjust the screen brightness manualy to a level where you can see in sunshine. Thats it, thats how you protect your AMOLED screen.

  • My friend, I believe you didn't try the Chinese phones, I had 2 note 5 they were disappointed the worst phone ever in my life and I have switched to Huawei Mate 9 and Mate 10 pro no way to even compare Samsung is the worst brand ever

  • My son. If you want 5G network. S10 will have a version that supports 5G. I hope this will enlighten you. Love, GOD

  • My standard and your standard on video recording and audio quality may be differ. For me, that quality can consider as good but for you maybe it is not so good. The only way you can do is go to watch the online reviews of the phones you want to buy.

  • No. They (Chinese OEMs) don't have incredible devices. They don't have incredible features. They have cheap phones and customers don't care for quality so they go for quantity.

  • It's obvious that you know nothing about photography. Resolution means nothing. Absolutely nothing.

  • may be you are right, i havent checked huawei. i compared samsung phone with mi, oneplus, vivo & oppo.. none of my friends using huawei so not get chance to check out. and other thing is huawei experience store is not available in my city.. my concern was sound get distorted while recording video in any event or function if the loud speaker is near & video smoothness while recording moving person and object... which both things are very good with my samsung s5 other than compared brand cameras. if you have both phones - huawei & samsung flagship.. can u compare n tell video recording smoothness n clearity & audio recording output while recording video near any large speaker.. thanks..

  • There are several battery saving tutorials on the net and YouTube. If that' not good enough, tell Samsung to make Software Optimization for N9 in the next up date.

  • Huawei Mate 20 Pro

  • Hai, I am using note 9 more than 3 months . But battery standby time feel less and also little drain fast. From 100 to 90 % battery drains fast within 6 to 7 hours during night time without using it . So anybody having solution for this. But this problem is not present when I bought as a new ,i think this battery drains fast because of battery life cycle is aged every charging, so is it correct or not . Please give me solution .

  • not bad.but..next note i mean note 10 we want - 4500mah battery - iris scanner off,its useless, 4-5 code Id is enough - front screen fingerprint sensor - qhd screen resolutin is max and enough all, bigger than that is just waiste and eat battery - IR sensor back! itsnot pricey toinstall it. - no round screen, just flat and 6.5" is max,not more and NO 4k resolution!! - strong high quality audio and loud voice, nesr 199db,tx! - and, plz get off thouse ready installed apzz, just half of them even. - back 12mb high quality camera, front camera 5mb is enough. and, make version galaxi 11,note10 or so WITHOUT front camera,or that kins pop upo nes what user can close. last..come on! price,no more than 650$-900$,it is possble that 1st price without iris scanner and front camera,so build it. thnax

  • Huawei P20 is better than this with 40 Mega pixel back camera and 24 Mega pixel selfie Priceless and best

  • You believe that there is no phone can compete with SAMSUNG S series and Note series in camera performance because you never use other phone before. You just go to the nearest HUAWEI experience store and try the Mate20 Pro, then you will know there are many choices outside there for you.

  • Are you being serious on the opinion about cameras!??

  • Go for note9..

  • Oneplus 6T or Galaxy Note9 or iphone 8 plus???

  • I can't say mea culpa as I can't read korean....yet :)

  • and my main use is camera.. as i haven't seen any other phone camera comparable to galaxy s & note series.. i just love it. but than also i want to use all other feature such as 5g service when available, which is coming soon, may be in next year, speed & power of phone to handle all daily activities & games too... etc.

  • thanks for your reply. may be you are right in what you are saying, but as per my experience i still having s5, and screen is good .. not as compared to new one.. but not bad either.. now wanted to upgrade but thinking to purchase. as when i bought s5(3g) phone next year 4g come so i have to set with other phone too to use 4g.. now i m hearing about 5g is coming and s10 is coming with 4g. and i don't want seprate phone to use 5g service after investing more than Rs.80000 on such a beautiful phone.

  • Samsung is in the process changing its China operation to re-focus on components for electric cars, as reported by Korean media.

  • Make sure you understand that the screen of S10 will not last 5 years in its current form. AMOLED screen has a very limited lifespan due to oxidation. You will start to notice brightness reduction and color shift after 2-3 years. This oxidation process will speed up from then on. You will end up with a rather dark screen with distorted colors. Be prepared to change your phone after 3 years. (On the other hand, LCD screen will retain its original form for substantially longer time.)

  • Some foolish people who are only good to use feature phone when buy such a giant super smart phone and don't know how to optimise and use it complaining about battery drain and heating issues. Growup man and be parallel with the world in technology. Its is not good to have a smart phone of 6GB 128GB and a brain of 0.0000000000000000000000000000000001 bit

  • i wanted to buy s10, and i want to keep it for 4 to 5 years. but as i heard 5g is coming so i m bit confuse to buy s10 or wait for another flagship to come with 5g capabilities... can someone make any suggestion... thanks.

  • After pie update many complaints. Battery train fast.fingerprint not properly work. Call quality bad.many times not regesiter network. Heating issues.

  • Those who comment theses performance issue after long run is noob, even iphones stutter, hangs and lag, even with that iphone 8 plus, i use both, and trying to justify that Iphone is better than any note series is like grain of salt.

  • after pie update note 9 battery drain fast... tell me anyone

  • And the remaining 35% are spies :)

  • Samsung is closing its factory in China as sales in that country have plummeted due to low sales as many Chinese phone manufacturers release cheaper devices with incredible features and design. From what I know, that factory was designed solely for China and perhaps moving to Vietnam is to cut loses and combine production for China's market and other countries.

  • If China labour cost is lower, then why SAMSUNG move their manufacturing factory to Vietnam?

  • What I wrote is from an old report. Perhaps since then new deposits have been uncovered. But still China is No.1 when it comes to rare mineral deposits in the world (I'm sure that there's a site somewhere regarding those rare minerals) and, unfortunately, many companies use China's cheap labor force and wages to manufacture their products locally rather than import those minerals and build devices into their own countries. Imagine how much would an iPhone cost if it were to be build in the US

  • My mistake. Read aloud still in alarm which i just found it. So far pie is going okay. Battery not as good as oreo, but on saying that i have been on my phone checking all my themes. So that has probably drained battery quicker.

  • no it wont drop, Note is in another category. It will drop when the Note 10 comes in August

  • It's funny that you are still living in ancient time of analogue radio. Internet radio is all around and it doesn't need the tangling headset wire to use as antenna. It can work with Bluetooth headset not like your FM radio that will not work using Bluetooth headset.

  • Bluetooth headset is better, no need for headphone jack. Internet radio is better than analogue radio.

  • Ha..ha..ha.. I'm still listening my music with my 3,5mm jack though, but unfortunately my High End Note 9 doesn't have Radio. It's funny that my ancient Nokia N8 from 2008 has Stereo FM radio, RDS; and even FM transmitter ?!

  • Recently Most innovative thing in the flagship phones. ios: Headphone jack removal Android: No FM radio

  • Yes, with the upcoming S 10 the price of Note 9 is going to drop. And a second hand Note 9 with a mint condition is cheaper.

  • Thanks for the information.

  • Does your themes work after updating to pie??

  • I'm not sure you own the Note9, but I'll give you the benefit of doubt. In Europe & the U.K., the battery is guaranteed for 1 year, & the Note9 is guaranteed for 2 years & I'm sure it's the same wherever you are. So if you really have a problem contact Samsung Customer Services, & they'll sort you out : )

  • Huawei has the same annual budget of R&D as Samsung's: $15 billions. Huawei has 100+ research centers in 86 countries. 65% of the 200,000+ employees are scientist and engineers, the highest percentage among all technology majors in the world. Annual R&D budget for Oppo mobile division: $1.5 billion. Annual R&D budget for Vivo: $1 billion.

  • Hey guys.. Im currently using s7 edge..but i wanna upgrade to this note 9 but after the s10 series came out..bcoz the price is gonna drop more.. Is it a good plan?

  • Are you sure that just SAMSUNG only has R & D? Are you sure that HUAWEI do not have R & D? Are you sure that other Chinese brands also do not have R & D?

  • No it doesnt! Where did you get that info from? Is it just your opinon or are you speaking for thousands of users? Dont think so!

  • Camera stuuter. Battery draining. Ui not nice. Freezing. And list goes on....

  • Are you sure that your information is correct?

  • Because they made R&D while others not.

  • No problems at all.

  • this is quite a simple answer if you care to look and read more about what a smartphone is made from: rare minerals which China owns 95% of the world reserve. Samsung like other manufacturers has to import those minerals (from which screens and other hardware components are made) thus the higher cost. But also bare in mind that none of them are robbing customers like Apple does...

  • Note 9 performance is awesome speically display resloution and camera quality.

  • SAMSUNG make the processor themselves. SAMSUNG make the display themselves. SAMSUNG make the camera sensor themselves. SAMSUNG almost make all the expensive parts of the phone themselves. Do you know why SAMSUNG sell the phones with such a higher price than other who need to purchase the parts from outside?

  • Hmm..... how does these chinese brands keep their smartphone at low cost? do you know?

  • But the selling price for these SAMSUNG Galaxy phones are higher than those Chinese brands. And SAMSUNG still using some outdated hardware in their processor. They also don't give a LED notification light to their low end phones and midrange phones.

  • Full of problems such as...?

  • Vivo and Oppo define the design of 2018 phones: the bezel-less full frontal screen with in-display fingerprint sensor, as exemplified beautifully by Vivo NEX and Oppo Find X in mid-year of 2018. All the smartphones will be conveniently classified as either pre-2018 style or post-2018 style. Samsung is still learning to catch up with its peers, step by step, as follows: 1) Samsung uses punch-hole screen in S10 as a stop-gap measure to mimic the real bezel-less full frontal screen of Vivo and Oppo. (Other real bezel-less full frontal screens can be seen in Xiaomi Mi Mix 3, Lenovo Z5 Pro GT, etc.) 2) Samsung starts to use in-display fingerprint sensor in S10 for the first time, more than 1 year after Vivo APEX, and more than 8 months after Vivo NEX. 3) Samsung will be using Vivo-style pop-up selfie camera in its future phones such A90, as reported, 1 year after Vivo APEX and 8 months after Vivo NEX. 4) Samsung is licensing multiple AI chip designs from at least two Chinese AI chip companies to catch up with the AI-chips of Huawei in Kirin970, Kirin980, and the upcoming Kirin990. 5) Samsung is buying designs related to optical zooms from the Chinese smartphone supply-chain, following the announcement regarding the 10x optical zoom designs from Oppo and Huawei in early January, 2019.

  • Not! Full of problems!

  • nonsense

  • No Note 9 doesn't have battery issue. Just about normal battery life for common Android phones. See the battery test below:

  • Vintage 2017?! Great nonsense. What was the 2018 design for you? Notches? Yeah no. That's not a design, it's a design flaw.

  • S9+ and Note 9 are Flagship and off course they both are good. The diffrences are Note 9 has a larger 4,000 Mah battery and also S-Pen.

  • Update android pie seem prefect in my note9 without any hiccup.. it went smooth.

  • After having upgraded to Android 9, the camera has troubled the device. Please inquire what to do

  • After having upgraded to Android 9, the camera has troubled the device. Please inquire what to do

  • Whats the use of owning this phone if you have to disable fb and other stuff to make battery last longer. Pie update is really bad.

  • I advice you Dont update! Too many problems with it.

  • When is pie update coming over to malaysia

  • Larger display and higher resolution. Of course it drains quicker.

  • S9 plus still best phone and battery very good!

  • Umm, looking forward to buy a new phone. Confused very much between Note 9 and upcoming s 10 lite. Which one shall i buy? Any suggestions are most welcomed. Any other phone in your recommendation is most helpful. PS-I am upgarding from Moto g5 Plus.

  • Help! My Note 9 just upgraded to Android Pie and since then, every so often, it automatically takes a 'Smart Capture' screenshot of whatever is on the screen, uploading it automatically to my cloud photo services, such as Google Photos. A massive breach of privacy and security. Most importantly, the Smart Capture feature is switched off! Anyone?

  • Thank you so much, for the info.

  • Yes it does.

  • does it have a notification light?

  • Upgrade the software (to Android 9) and minimize facebooking then battery backup will be great.

  • You are right. I have been using Note 9. My phone also has been drained fast even though the battery is 4000 mah.

  • I have had the Samsung Galaxy note 9 two weeks ago. And I used to have Huawei mate 9 which has the same 4000 mah battery , but I noticed that my note 9 was draining battery way more faster, than the mate 9 which was able to kick more than 2 days! My note 9 is barely giving me a day and a half.

  • I have the Note 9 and my phone last all day which include 5 hours a day running gps and browsing throughout the day and streaming music. I only charge every night and not before. Amazing battery for me.

  • yes it does

  • THE PRICE DOES not drop till a note 10 does not come.

  • Yes dear im facing this issue

  • does note 9 really have a battery drain issue?

  • You actually on the phone and are confirm about this?

  • mine too (using wifi) .. using mble data kills the battery life

  • My Note 9 battery level drops 1% every 10 mins. Anyone has similar issue ?

  • Hi my phone just got the pie update but its seem to have some kind of a bug the touch is not responding like it use to do and the is a slight lag does anyone else have this with the new update?

  • You are not getting anything by moving from S8 to Note9 unless you really want the s-pen. (Same design and minor performance improvement.) The future design will be about bezel-less full screen and in-display fingerprint sensor. If you are not sure about the new design, get the first hand experience first before making any decisions. The price for Note9 will drop substantially once the S10 series has settled in. There are several companies working on under-screen camera without punch-holes. If the tech is ready, you may see improved design for new models in the near future.

  • So I should get the S10 because it's got the latest and greatest? What sort of performance upgrade will I see over the S9, or the S8 which is what I currently have (my S8 to my wife's S9 is barely noticeable in speed difference)? Also, I think I stated that I prefer the design and was merely asking from a performance view.

  • Yes it does

  • Both S8 and Note 9 are vintage early 2017 design. What is your point? Since we are already in 2019, Samsung has recognized the need to catch up with its peers in the new direction of smartphone design.

  • Previously I also have the same thinking like you. Besides SAMSUNG, I totally will not consider other brands. But this thinking has changed after I used the J6+ with Android version of 8.1 and SAMSUNG Experience UI 9.5. I found that there is a notable lag when I scroll down or up, not as smooth as Android 8.0 and SAMSUNG Experience UI 9.0 on the A7 (2018). At the beginning, I thought it was a change of Google to Android 8.1. One day, I went to HUAWEI experience store and try the phones with Android 8.1 and EMUI 8.2, I found that there is no such lag with HUAWEI phones. From that day onwards, I am using HUAWEI until now. Regarding the SAMSUNG Galaxy S10, in my opinion, there will be nothing outstanding when compared to S9 last year. Just got one or two ugly punch hole(s) on the screen only.

  • I bought one to see what was the phone like, (crap) that’s the only word I can think of to describe it, I then went back to my iPhone XS much better phone

  • From everyone who owns a note 9, does the phone still have the 3d touch home button as the previous galaxy flagships?

  • Note 9 has the 3d touch home button off of the s9 and other phones? Please reply

  • Hey guys (and girls). I've been anxiously waiting for the S10 hoping for something crazy cool being the 10th year and all but I'm losing interest in the punch hole design. I currently have a Galaxy S8 and am totally comfortable with the top / bottom bezels and edge display (gorgeous phone) but coming from a Note 4 I miss the size of display. What I'm unsure about is the performance gains in waiting for the S10 / S10+ or do I dive into a Note 9 (which is in high demand in my area). Please don't respond with any Chinese brands as they aren't up for consideration at all. Same with the Pixel phones or iPhone's.

  • S9 plus was best phone with terrible battery life

  • Slightly better than the competitors though Note 9 with 4,000 mAh last only 5hrs 21m though.

  • S series great phone - it lasts one yae Note series great phone - after 6 monthes new S series = a way better phone. Note to mention that after 3 months the mate series is a better version of business phone … They should release note series in february

  • To be honest, The Battery Life is not that great.. it is just average.. I charged my phone until 100% at 12 p.m. and I used it to play games.. and 4 hours later.. the battery is 30% I thought it was 60% or something.......... ..........

  • S9 plus best phone of 2018!

  • Thanks bro

  • Please do not buy it .. I got it last September.. battery is too bad and does stay for 24 hours only if I did not use the mobile.. after updating to Pie my life changed to be more hard .. tha battery is aggressively draining and display is shaking while making or receiving a call and stop chalking after got the call answered.. You can go to S9+ it is much better than note 9.

  • S9+ .. I used both of them and note 9 does not worth a cent.

  • I have the same problem since is got it last September but it is aggressively draining after updating to Andriod 9 (Pie) .. beside the display resolution is shacking while receiving or making a call and become stable after answering the call. Realt it was not the good choice.

  • I did not get one ui update for my note ? Anyone else ?

  • My battery draining so fast. Do you experienced the same?? Need help on this

  • note 9 dual sim

  • Guys, should I get the Note 9 128gb or s9+ 256gb??

  • It is because of the cheap paste the continue to use.

  • yes yes and yes and much more better after the Android pie update

  • 1 day with normal use

  • RHR 7D Full Curved Tempered Glass from Ali Express.

  • Does the battery stay long?

  • Bro, Note 9 has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 which is more shatter resistant than previous iterations but as a trade off, it is more susceptible to scratches. I would recommend a screen protector though it is a pain to find one that works fine at the edges.

  • Same here also!

  • I suggest you should go to try the HUAWEI Mate20 series (Mate20, Mate20 Pro and Mate20 X) first before make up your mind to buy the Note9.

  • Hi. I'm using Note 3 since 2013 end of the year. I had compared both phones 3 and 9, and I think just more rams and memory (with expand) can have 1TB. So if worth to buy? New one in Uk about £800, in change at Samsung shop, can get couple hundreds of £ discount. So if worth to change/buy?

  • same here

  • thnx. Very good update clears 2 gb storage of crap

  • I thought Note 9 has Gorilla glass but got scratch

  • I just update my Note 9 to android 9 pie the update is now availlible for all nordic countries

  • All OLED screens have burn-in, it's unavoidable.

  • Need some advice about to maximize the batter of note 9 and better use of the camera

  • I own one of these cases and its very good and sturdy. Greatb thing about it is you can customize the mgs and even have contacts letter of first name show up on this case. You can set diff colours to display . I like the matrix look. Its not girly. It has diff colours.

  • At last got update android pie and Samsung one ui look nice improve plus pretty fast than old version... big download at 1.6GB..

  • the note 9 is the best phone i've owned till now. i've been using it for 3 months now and i totally recommend it. no glitch, get things done when needed and it is durable

  • Smart answer

  • I thought the answer is totally clear till today, if you know how to use google to search smartphone choice from users and tech nerds/reviewers, or smartphone websites like android authority, phone arena, gsmarena etc Note 9 was crowned as the best overall smartphone of 2018. As simple as that! They have included tons of reasons and explanations in details why it was so! Hope it helps you

  • First of all,S-pen has so much more capability and usability than M Pen, they can be used to capture images, videoes, powerpoint slides etc, fast re-charging time with 30 seconds for somewhat hundreds clicks! Yes, if you have really used or heard Note series, you would not have asked like if Note users use Spen or not,it is included just because Note users use it,bruh! You are asking such questions because you only have heard those exact, same, silly questions from Note series haters since day1 of Note :) trust me ha ha....all you got to do now is to try to feel secure with your mate 20 X if you have bought it!

  • 9.0 is better and faster... Enjoy

  • Am not gonna lie its a handy case, its really useful and i really love it, but it looks girlie to me, i don't know maybe yes maybe not, its just my opinion.

  • The screen protector will affect the performance of on - screen fingerprint scanner performance on Galaxy S10.

  • HUAWEI Mate20 X has a pen. But I am curious that how many Note9 users have used the pen and how often they use it.

  • Screen protectors have no problem with Note models. Only thing, take care you don't use a flip cover that has a magnetic lock, this will affect the smooth working of the S-Pen

  • Is there any possibility to downgrade my note 9 to android oreo versin i dont like the camera performance of android 9 overall the selfie quality

  • galaxy note series has a big problem - in february samsung launches its s series and after 6 months they lounch the s+ serie with s pen - when launching it allready is old news and, after only 2 months here comes the mate series - a really improoved p series

  • hi dear dosen't the screen protector affect it's performance ? & is it covering the edged part of the phone? i got my note 9 but still don't apply any protection.. pls let me know your opinion if you tried this case

  • Huawei Mate 20 Pro doesn't have Stylus-Pen a tumb-down specs like an iPhoneXs Max

  • If NPU is useless, I am curious to know why SAMSUNG still wants to develop it in their Exynos 9820 processor this year and even it already has a NPU in the Exynos 9810 last year?

  • If you want a real phone that has it all go for the Note 9 it has excellent batterylife a great camera is rich on functionality and it wont break it is very durabell the mate 20 pro is nt very durabell it may has abit better camera but thats it and the mate 20 pro is more expencive then note 9 so overall the note 9 has also a better screen that is better too look at but of course the choice is yours

  • The Note9. No lies like "Benchmark Mode" or that GPU Turbo con. It has the best, no compromise hardware. And dual aperture camera that actually takes better low light pictures without having to resort to poor algorithms. And no notch. And a headphone Jack. And better quality overall. And better OS support according to carrier data (Huawei seems to give Quarterly updates in my country. Samsung is monthly). And the Exynos model has an UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER. And the Snapdragon 0 model too. This is very important to defeat obsolescence. You can flash a GSI when support is dropped to extend your usage and lifetime of your phone. You'll be able to use Android R,S,T... Huawei has decided not to allow this. NPU is useless though.

  • HUAWEI Mate20 Pro is better. It has a 7nm chip, Kirin 980. The camera can take better photos than SAMSUNG Galaxy Note9 especially during night time. It also has dual NPU and GPU Turbo 2.0 technology. These two features totally cannot find in Note9.

  • Between Huawei Mate 20 Pro & Samsung Galaxy Note 9 whch is better in all aspects overall ??

  • No thank you. If stuff is not working in it yet then i will stay on oreo.. i dont want a phone i cant custmoize . Ive see pie ui and its not nice. Icons are not nice. I will leave it for now.

  • Oh but dont worry...I think you should definitely upgrade because even if you miss the themes the one ui experience is really min blowing...

  • Samsung Note 9 is the best phone I ever had. and I came from an IPhone 8 +.

  • samsung amoled screens have a burn in problem, and in no way will not fix the problem, I've seen the phone service, many samsung phones with burn in problem !!!

  • Thank you for replying. I watched the video amd checked smart switch. It doesnt mention themes. But i think once i sign into samsung account the themes will be there. But i dont know if my themes will work on pie as i tried it on beta pie and themes are not working properly. So thats why im a bit worried if i update my phone to offical pie. I have the update. But ive paused it as im confused wether to update or not....

  • Pl watch his video first, so you can get an idea, all paid themes will be backed up in smartswitch as i got it back

  • Thank you:). Thats good to hear. How do i backup all my themes plz? Do i do a backup before updating through smart switch? Will it backup all my paid themes plz?

  • Yes all themes are working as I did a backup of the old themes also in backup as he said in the video. Now both old and new ones work. Getting almost 8 hours SOT on wifi

  • Hi, Can you tell me ,How much SOT you get now

  • Does your themes work in it?

  • This video seems legit. Even I followed the same way.. Now it's super smooth and unbelievable battery life.. Thanks

  • Hi The DUOS logo just shows that your Note 9 has the possibility to use 2 sim Cards at the same time. ( Eks. One private sim-card and one job sim-card, or one for the wife and one for your second life :P ) It is usually only the 512 GB Phones who has this possibility. Pro tip: get a stylish cover, and you will forget all about it :)

  • friends after updating how is the battery backup u all r getting compared to oreo??? what sot u r geting????

  • Thanks 4 the advice I appreciate

  • Yesterday i got my Note9, but in the back of the phone it's the logo of DUOS. I irritates me. Has someone else has the logo of DUOS in the back of their phone or it's just me?

  • I got in black color note9 problem is that its frame specially sides color is being removed quickly....@ anyone else is facing this issue ?? Plz tell

  • I just followed this guy's video after Pie update on Note 9, I had the same problems as he had discussed in the video after the pie update..but now its smooth as butter...here is the link

  • VS Mate 20pro?

  • Can you plz tell me if paid themes are working on pie?

  • Undoubtedly Note 9 , if your not in hurry wait for one month to get an idea on S10 models than decide

  • Go Head and update no major bugs , I found only auto switch of Dolby when not in use , batter is good getting more 30 mins of SOT on compare with Oreo,

  • for mine note 9 mble data kills the battery ..is that any prblm guys ? :(

  • hello guys please I need your opinion galaxy note 9 or mix 3 which one should I buy I am confuse

  • Thanks to Samsung for releasing android pie to note 9. The os is thick and very smooth. Well done .

  • Get the huawei mate 20X (and the M Pen made for it) you will be blown away!

  • Man, did you know that Apple's display comes from Samsung? and there are a lot of tech reviews that have said that Samsung note 9's display was the best among 2018 phones.

  • wait for s10 and then compare which is a better bang for your buck

  • Umm, looking forward to buy a new phone. Confused very much between Note 9 and upcoming s 10 lite. Which one shall i buy? Any suggestions are most welcomed. PS-I am upgarding from Moto g5 Plus.

  • Just got Android 9 update in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

  • Sometimes upgrading can cause more problems. Better to wait 6 months until its all smoothed out.

  • I wont be updating to pie for now. Oreo is great and i wont take that chance of apps not working. Because they have to be update for pie. Happy on oreo.

  • Maybe you can try HUAWEI Mate20 X. It also has a pen, called M pen and the price is almost the same with Note9.

  • I have stable update since few days and phone is working great...yes there are few things that needs fixing but the developers have to update their apps...for me good lock is not working....with wynk music lock screen audio controls dont work...yest the phone is perfect...ya one more thing...Dolby atmos keeps switch off by its own

  • I give kudos to Samsung on their pie update. It is a very cool OS on note 9. For those who have not gotten theirs check manually pls. Bammy from Nigeria

  • Hi Anyone from India can confirm whether update is stable or not? I dont want bugs by updating. Pls reply

  • Missed some of the best features of goodlock apps after upgrading to Android Pie... Also, after upgrade, I'm getting problem with touch sometimes and little more battery drainage...

  • Did you buy the Notte 9 phone, which costs $ 750 now or wait and buy an average phone

  • Im staying on oreo for now.

  • I have updated to Android Pie and the battery drain is ridiculous bringing back the nightmare of Note 8 battery drain.

  • Excuse me? That a very SEXIIST comment YOU made! Not all girls do that on instragram. Im a girl and im offended by that comment! Choose your words before posting on this forum!

  • same here didn't receive pie in Malaysia

  • When pie will able in Malaysia

  • I love this one. Great battery life. Biomatric Login and other security system work effectivly. Face scanner last longer to match than note8. That is not good

  • man seriously these people complain for everything, i agree with your comment i own a note 9 as well and the battery is superb.

  • A drop of only 2 - 3% over 6 hours is quite normal. This is not excessive at all.

  • you are using the note 9 clone so there is problems like that

  • Received the Stable build in India. Can see a lot of changes but I feel Battery is getting drained quicker.

  • Hahahaha what a joke he just created. Nothing like that has happened to my Note 9. I am using the beta version of Android 9 with One UI and there is only slight difference in battery drain. M sure u must have got a fake Note 9 which costs $99 or $199. Please check if its a legit phone.

  • I got Final Pie Update in India

  • You touch note 9 and you touch the world of technology. The best experience in 18 years of using mobile phone. Thanks Samsung.

  • because i don't want to have a long process before i updated it what i want is just a matter of clicking the software updates & then its boom there already completely updated with its most recent OS.....is that going to be the case in 4 wks time

  • thanks if that's reliable ill be having it by next month just waiting to be updated before i buy

  • lol jaganath, use your hands

  • yes nothing better right now

  • 4 weeks

  • Lol

  • He is just a bot created by Huawei to defame Samsung. Hilarious stunt!

  • Yes you can right. Any bad comments regarding SAMSUNG they will not post straight away.

  • You got the Note9 which made in china, you are better be careful for the next time. Dear.

  • I am also amazed to see this and this is probably the first time I'm hearing this and in this case I would recommend you visit a nearest Sprint repair center or a Samsung store to get your phone checked.

  • It will be out some where at the end of January, Currently if you would like to try the Beta version then you may download Samsung Community app and then you can register yourself for the One UI Beta version. Samsung may send you the Beta version. However please remember that Beta version will be just testing purpose.

  • The battery sucks. Whether you use ur mobile or not. It drains. My Huawei mate 9 battery life which I bought 2 1/2 years before is better than note 9. How the hell gsmarena gave 97 hours endurance rate to this battery life? Just listening to mp3 song in earphones with my Samsung health app is on, the battery drains from 100% to 87 % in just one hour. It is really disappointing from Samsung. Camera performance is disappointing as well. It clicks photos which looks not real at all. Auto focus sucks. Battery charging time is not great too. It takes hours to get 60%. Applications installation takes very long. I regret why I bought this mobile. Gsmarena, be trustworthy. You guys blindly supports Samsung products.

  • when is the pie 9.0 UI one update coming here in the philippines

  • When is the one ui coming to UAE? Anyone received stable build?

  • At least the battery is still better than iphone

  • Thanks, mate.

  • Here many people talking about camera . guys this is not a camera .lol . thare are many things to talk about.

  • I want to make Signature on few of documents using S pen , but unable to do so like wise in Note 5 as I didn't find the same feature on S note while using Note 9 Can any one help and suggest how I can do that in Note 9 now ? Any quick help will be appreciated

  • *itz Exynos! sorry

  • Apparently the snapdragon 845 is a far enhanced chip and the different cell phone companies choosing to put it inside their flagship phones is a testimony. Anyways the Exonys Chipset in the Note 9 does not make that much of difference. I am using an Exonys one and I am really very happy

  • Is the Exynos variant really better than the Snapdragon variant??

  • Yes and now a days a true iPhone has just remained a residue of "Gimmicks". No idea how this brand promises to bring an innovation and value for money.

  • it's the OIS.

  • Yeah true iphone its an iphone you need to do search by yourself to get the answers.

  • I'm using both and both phones are good in there way. But when it comes to screen, camera and apps quality and overall performance sorry iphone xs max win.

  • Battery performance for Exynos version of note 9 is the worst for this price range mobile device, if you're living in region where you're getting Exynos version of note9 please do think twice, you'll probably regret getting this device if battery consumption is important to you. Bought note9 over mate20 pro due to the headphone jack, instant regret :\ i would think mate20 would be a better alternative for value for money compare to this!

  • Note 9 best phone for now for forever.may its a significant.

  • I have tried iphone and frankly speaking I hate it. The only good thing about iphone is it feels good to hold in hands and if we go inside it its like too many boundaries. I am happy with Samsung phones. I have asked the iphone users to tell any one good thing about iphone and their answer is "iphone is iphone" they don't have any explaination beyond this. Better use samsung note 9 and mark my words you will love it.

  • I had the XS Max, too laggy for me. Now happy with the Note 9.

  • I have upgraded to this phone from my laggy SX Max. so happy.

  • The idea is great. It breaks much more easily. ~300 EUR for a replacement. Bonus, you can not mount a screen protector on top of it properly.

  • Friends i want to this monster device but two things are holding me to purchase! First one i heard that its camera gets freeze while taking pics and videos and secondly a rattle sound comes from its camera lens which is very annoying.... So need your advise to make my decision final. Thanks

  • i got one and i have to say this is top 5 on smartphone screens right now

  • Here the Mate 20 pro is still more (just a little bit) expensive than the Note9. Gsmarena should change the price in the specs to 650 euro perhaps. The price has dropped significantly, so that's good news.

  • Most original? You do realize Samsung wasnt even the first company to make a bezeless display? They copied the idea off of the LG G6

  • I never understood the point / concept of the edged screen

  • Try an iPhone first, then we will consider your claim. Until then, stop talking.

  • Have you try HUAWEI Mate20 Pro? If not, then go to try first.

  • In my country it's 600-650 but Mate 20 pro have the same price so it's good deal but not the best one.

  • This phone can be found for only 630 euro brand new, very good deal. You get the most feature packed phone for that price, very recommended to purchase this phone. Go for the blue color or if availbe fr the white, looks good.

  • Note 9 is the best and unbeatable phone still on earth. Apple is just the price, logo, and the name. Apple has very less features and cant attack samsung ever. So apple users change your mythical dreamworld of apple and swich to a SAMSUNG phone that keeps you super coooool....

  • We have not received android pie on our Samsung note 9 in Nigeria. Why the delay? Hoping to receive it soonest pls.

  • I am sure you got a faulty piece.

  • Hello everyone and happy new year 2019 I just bought the 512 gigas ultimate version when I film with the camera the sound has low in the beginning and then the sound becomes high without bass these random but it makes a rotten for a smartphone 1000 euros these really bad the notifications are in mono and when you go in settings they sometimes sound in mono sometimes bizarre stereo but the biggest problem is the camera pickups which at first take the bass and then go on high there is a limiter but even if the sound is weak it does did you have this problem should I bring it back Thank you in advance for your assistance

  • Bad for you, it seems you don't take care of your device, i own a note 9 and it's the best, since i bought it i bought a screen protector and a case this baby,i dropped it more than once but thanks to the case protector, its still new and working superb will change it though for the new s10+, it has everything am looking for.

  • It's the crappy edge screen that keeps breaking for me. Finally left Samsung for that reason.

  • Yes Samsung might not be the first one to introduce you with all those mention features but lets be happy about the fact that they are the ones who are thinking and putting all those amazing features from many phones to a single piece of tech. :)

  • My friend's Samsung Note 9 had this weird Buzzing noise every time he opens up the camera app and tries zooming out. Camera gets a ripple on the display when zoomed out plus the buzzing noise.. Does anyone here experienced the same issue? Is it the OIS which is defective on his device?

  • Front camera its a jock. No one puts a decent front camera any more, I do not care if the f-stop is 1.9 and I do not care if my face is clear. If I take a selfie picture I need the background clear too. Standing in front of the Colosseum take a picture and the monument is blur after the shot why the hell you think I want my self a picture in front of the Colosseum... My Note 3 could take better pictures with just 2MP. These selfie cameras are just for girls to take a selfie picture kissing the air for their Instagram.

  • If you put it in airplaine mode you wont loose the 3 %

  • Battery draining was so fast ..even the screen is off. Every night i slept at 12:00o clock and wake up at 6:00o clock. battery 2-3 % was lost at that time .mine note9 have any problem ? And also i stopped the specifications like always on display, notification light.. etc etc ..but still have the same prob :( can anybody please reply me ? What is the reason behind that ? Am totally disappointed

  • Ikr, that's why if want to buy an android phone. Android one phones always the right choice to choose for frequent updates. For apple, whatever products, they will give updates to male sure you get the latest features and give more supports. People who said, apple slow down their phone is false. It happens when your battery 80% and below but you just need to replace your battery every 2 years. And 59$ every 2 years isn't that much

  • Apple update there iPhone and iPad at least for 4 years. I’m using iPad mini 4 since 2015 and still getting update to date the last iOS 12.1.1, wish if Samsung has there own OS since Samsung make the best hardware of any android phone around.

  • Nope.

  • Is the Alpine White variant limited edition?

  • Im still waiting for Pie or ONE UI update to Note8... This is actually only reason why I could consider Apple. At least they support their phones more than a year. I paid 1000€ for this phone only year ago and I already feel that that they have abandoned it!

  • The one and only best phone of the year Samsung Galaxy Note 9 📱📱📱

  • Samsung didn’t invent any of these features wireless charging introduced first by Nokia lumia 1520, IP68, 67 etc introduced first by Sony Xperia phones even the auto brightness that increase the brightness of note and Galaxy phone to higher level than some LCD panels around introduced first by Nokia lumia 930 through there black OLED technology. I’m not an Samsung hater I love both Apple and Samsung, but there’s lot of features that not introduced by Samsung neither Apple.

  • Unfortunately iPhone XS Max has better camera and better bright accurate OLED than note 9 I’m using both, but note 9 still remain the best android phone in my book second goes to S9 plus and both camera are the best when it comes to android phones camera after my experience with latest android flagship.

  • Samsung is probably the most original android phone company out there (no notch and actually invites such as the hole in display display), if anything, apple is copying them (wireless charging, water resistance) and yet Samsung still does it better than them.

  • Why does it have to be better than the Xs max? It it's good, then it's good and you shouldn't have a problem with it. My one has received some hdr updates since release and some others but it's still an amazing camera.

  • No .

  • for Note 9 users ...I watched on YouTube Cameras quality Compare between Note 9 and Iphone XS Max ...and there was a difference in terms of the quality to the Iphone Max...so the question is >>> Is there any Camera updates that make the quality beats the Iphone Max cause I want to buy Note 9 !!

  • 15 jan 2019

  • Soon you won't buy any phone since the jack will be gone

  • It is either purchase the most feature rich smartphone Note9 or sell your kidney and purchase a phone that has less features than even a Nokia 1 that costs 90 euro. So of course go for the Note9. It can be found for 600 euro or less brand new.

  • Very good deal it can be found for 600 euro brand new. Price has dropped so much, so it is a good deal. Soon it will be the same price as the Note8 but with bluetooth S-pen and a year younger phone. So I recommend to buy this Note9.

  • 15th Jan 2019 Samsung will launch its official Android Pie 9 with Samsunge Experience UI One to Note 9. Only the beta program users will first get the update and then Samsung will start rolling out the update to other Note 9 devices. The update will be around 1.6 Gb.

  • Honestly Samsung note 9 has being really nice. It is wonderful. Go ahead and get it guy

  • Because the notch is stupid, and a cop out in my opinion. I'd rather have a larger bezel than a stupid notch.

  • when is android p updates coming up

  • bro you are funny as hell, am not a huawei fan, but remember that the mate 20 pro left the iphone xs max in smoke, check youtube brok, check the speed test between those 2, do it please.

  • Android 9,when we have a chance to get it?

  • noooooooooo i dont have any problem with my lovely note 9

  • Because Samsung want Apple customers that’s why they follow Apple not only Samsung all Android OEM’s copies the best aka Apple.

  • No it’s not I have both phones XS max still performs way better.

  • Note 9 users do you have any problems with the software especially if you've used a Huawei for a long time before

  • "to charge the S-Pen, just plug it back.. it takes a half of minute to fully charge, and half of hour to using it..". Wireless charging stylus? you're kidding! XD This is insane!! There's still so much smartphone until today that doesn't has the wireless charging built on the back, and Samsung was already make it quick charge via wireless charging about 3 years ago since Galaxy S6 :) Remember that is NOT easy making that things (stylus charger) inside of the phone with 3.5mm headphone jack, space for plug-in stylus, and 4000 mAh battery. "How can you do that?", it's.. t's just Samsung can do that ;) #innovation.

  • Dear Samsung, I am your customer since your corby phone and then S1 to Note 9 I bought all the phones and I loved it. The day you start with the notch design and remove 3.5 mm earphone jack I will not be your customer anymore.

  • Yes go ahead..

  • Yes Note 9 is better than iPhone XS

  • You have a problem with your device.

  • Yes, Note 9 is better than iPhone XS and XS Max

  • hi everyone, my question is ...is it worth upgrading from iphone X to note 9? need honest answers please tia

  • Note9 is rock solid im using it since very first minute of launch , 11 hours battery backup , excellent call quality , best speakers and super super display . There is no other phone on Planet who even nears to great Note9 .

  • Because notch is stupid design.

  • That is coz Sammy knows that the customers hate to live in the "Notch City".

  • i recommend note 9 awesome device frm samsung

  • Wait for upcoming S10/S10 plus and note 10 with notch hole and no headphone jack lol.

  • Both are excellent phone, but iPhone XS Max comes with powerful Soc that no phone in the market beat it yet not even one plus 6T maclrin action with 10 gig of ram.

  • Get Note 9! Its total package

  • the same like you , i was dizzy to chose which one the best , but after monitor and check all the website , i founded the note 9 is the best . please, go ahead and chose the Note 9 n

  • Need opinion, what should i buy note 9 or xs max, overall comparsion. Assistance required please.

  • It shouldn’t last more than 1 yrs. U REALLY LCUKY

  • For me Samsung sucks. I've had so far 3 samsung devices (2 phones, one camera) and all died prematurely, besides the fact that their policy of updating the OS is very bad. My last one, Note 4 lasted barely 3 years (camera died first, then the whole thing = infinite boot loop, then no more booting in recovery mode, and now it is worth a brick's value). Reliability is here no more and this may be the result of Samsung getting away from smartphones.

  • Sammy will never leave Apple to milk the cow alonethus its business for them which makes great money.

  • because notches are terrible, I'm so glad sony and samsung resisted using the notch

  • I do not think that the Note 2019 will be much more better than Note9 because smartphones business for SAMSUNG now is no more big profit. They will put all their efforts in Super AMOLED display, TVs and camera sensor as those are their cash cow now. For Galaxy phones, just overprice products with outdated CPU or GPU.

  • You have to spend another $80 on the M Pen, but still cheaper. You have to wire charge the M Pen - yuck. I have been using Galaxy Notes as portable drawing and note-taking devices. I have purchased the separate S Pens for their thicker diameters and to mimic a real pen - however, I end up not carrying them because of the hassle. The 2018 iPad Pro magnetically attaches the Apple Pencil 2 at least - and has the weight and feel of a real pen. I slide out the S Pen when I need to and great convenience that it is tucked away inside the phone. No need to wire charge it - so annoying that you have to remember to keep it charge, like I had with the previous iPad with the Pencil silly plug in charging method.

  • Sorry, I am not brand loyal, just a fan of pressure and tilt input pens being integrated to smartphones. I never even thought of getting an iPad, but now own even the latest iPad Pro that I have paid a lot more than even my Alienware laptop. All because of being able to draw with these portable device. Note9 is the best that Samsung offers in this category, and if Hauwei steps up in this territory, I do not mind at all. This means things become better. Now Samsung needs to do a better Galaxy Note in 2019. Imagine the next Galaxy Note, a 6.7", 5500mAh, 8GB RAM, 1TB internal SSD, memory expansion, better S Pen with 8000+ pressure level input, 2k (at least) Super AMOLED, 120 fps, and yet the S Pen is stowed away inside - way better than the Mate 20X that only has a 1080p, the M Pen has no tilt input and you have to remember not to lose it.

  • Dear Samsung : Why do not you make the phones with the notch like Apple ????. Why ???

  • Yes it support a bunch of apps in dual messenger.

  • Yes. they have.

  • its never gonna be the next samsung, i own a note 9 and is the best phone ever i love the pen, is the best out there right now, you are talking like if huawei took samsung's spot, bro stop spreading false rumours you are the only one that believes that, i will never buy huawei i prefer as a second option sony.

  • yes it does

  • The M pen for HUAWEI Mate20 X cannot store inside the phone because this is SAMSUNG's patent.

  • Yes, Mate20 X is bigger than Note9 but the price is cheaper.

  • Android is hungry for powers. You need at least 5,000 mAh at the minimum to use Android. That's why some Chinese manufactures makes 6,000 to 16,000 mAh Android phones.

  • Does it have dual apps or parallel apps like that of Xiaomi and Oneplus phones??

  • The M Pen does not come with the Mate 20X (in some markets). The M Pen cannot be stored inside the phone, but I am impressed that Huawei is competing with the Note series. I wonder if the M Pen has tilt input as well - remains to be seen, and does not have wireless charging. I have to check it out. I am only interested with smartphone that have pressure and tilt input pens integration. Looks like Huawei is the new Samsung. Only thing left is Apple to have the Apple Pencil 2 (wireless charging) integrated with an iPhone. ;-)

  • As I know only mate 20x comes with stylus and that one is even bigger than note 9

  • You can go to check out HUAWEI Mate20 series.

  • I wanted to buy a smartphone with a Stylus, but they are too big, too heavy, too expensive. It does not have FM or DAB radio. Curved edges make the screen easy to break. €999 phone and the insurance is €200 per year. Why did they get rid of the home button?. I like physical buttons. The midrange phones generally have been cut down and crippled, to justify people buying an S range phone.

  • king of smartphone 2018 Galaxy note9!

  • The Best Smartphone 2018

  • My note 9 drained battery the same time ( 3-4 %) every 10 minutes... Disappointing about the 4000mAh

  • How much does your Note9 battery drain while using Wifi/data for browsing??? Mine, drains 3% in 10mins even with the lowest brightness... Is it normal or its draining faster???

  • It has been 3mnths I'm using the Note 9... and its still the same...

  • A great handset compared to my S7 Edge. Bigger & obviously heavier but the size and weight only take a couple of days to get used to. Not sure about the battery, with moderate use it will last a day & a half. Whilst the screen is larger, its in a 16:9 format, presumably so its ideal for watching video/films but I could do with it being wider to read emails etc easier & make the keyboard larger - just my personal preference. I haven't used the S pen much, as by the time its extracted & reinserted i've typed my notes into the Samsung Notes app, for instance. Had it not been for a Black Friday deal I wouldn't have one on contract due to the monthly cost, I would have settled for the S9 or S9+, albeit looking with envy at the Note 9.

  • yes and a new phone takes longer to set in as the phone is trying to understand your usage. Its better to join one of the Note 9 forums on the internet like android central. android authority etc for help. This site is just info and paid content.

  • Hi, I am using the same model device since 15 days and mine is working great. Its better to do a factory reset once. If same issue persists then visit Samsung service center once.

  • You can make the "recent-home-back" bar always visible. All you got to do is when you swipe up to get it visible is double tap the "dot" farthest to the left. It will always be visible in all that you do. Samsung did this to lessen the occurrence of "amoled burn" from that bar. You can lower the brightness to mimimize also that occurrence. Hope it helps. :-)

  • U go setting menu navigation bar make it visible all the time thats will be ok or add navigation gesture application ( fluid in ) name thats program work very nice no need go down use navigation bar anf fast

  • GREETINGS from the Philippines! I respect all your views and opinions so please do allow me to give mine. There are many factors to consider before buying a new phone or the latest model. 1. What Smart phone will meet your needs aside from using it as a communication device and to take photos? 2. Have you done a thorough research about your desired phone? (Specs, etc.). How it fits your usage and lifestyle? 3. More importantly, can you afford your desired phone? If all of the above is a YES then let us not dwell on comparing this device with anything other than another Smart phone. Also, bear in mind that there is no point in comparing the latest model with a model four models back because the latest model will ALWAYS be far more superior overall. I will be getting the NOTE9 as a Christmas present for myself and I prefer on buying the 8GB/512GB Blue model. At 57, I feel that I deserve owning a flagship phone after being with my old but trusty iPhone 4S which I now only use for call and text. Being retired and out of the house during the day I use my iPad Mini (Wifi Only) for browsing, messaging, email, Netflix and Spotify and use a pocket wifi to connect to the Net. Moreover, I use an Executive Daily Planner for all my activities and notes. Enter the NOTE9. After reading and seeing numerous reviews, I feel that this is the device for me. Why? 1. I no longer need to purchase an expensive Planner to write down important activities, reminders and tons of notes. 2. I no longer need to bring a pocket wifi all the time (only lasts for 6-7hrs max) 3. I can multi-task thanks to split-screen funtionality. 4. While waiting for my wife for long hours, I can watch Netflix and listen to Spotify in a smaller device which has superb audio/video capabilities. 5. I can now take clearer Photos and Videos during important events and can share these on FB. 6. I can now use a smaller sling bag for my Note9, wallet my vape and e-juice. Not all devices are perfect so I hope and pray that I don't encounter the same isolated problems I have read here so far. If I'm lucky then it will be a very Merry Christmas for me and I hope the same for all of you. SEASON's GREETINGS!

  • Hi, I have been using this phone for the past 10 days or so. So far, so good. Have migrated from IPhone, so changes are quite visible. One issue I am facing is the disappearance of the bezel while in an app. So it becomes difficult to come back to home menu or previous page within the app. Every time, I will have swipe up from the bottom so that the back arrow is visible. While in the phone app I have mistakenly dialled may a time. Is there any solution? Thanks

  • I own note9 since September and it prefect as battery took so long from 97% to near 14% for about 11 3/4 hours... so next one I think about note 11 instead of 10... happy with my current just now.. no hiccup or any problems.. I used EE Promo 21GB for just 18 quids a monthly, that run so fast.. my phone is dual sim hybrid 128GB with Samsung Evo+ 256GB sd card as I'm in Samsung upgrade program that a big saving for trade in old phone

  • How much does your Note9 battery drain while using Wifi/data for browsing??? Mine, drains 3% in 10mins even with the lowest brightness... Is it normal or its draining faster???

  • I have problem with low notification volume, and as i see that ia massive problem with this phone and the S9+. Viber and other notification is so quiet that i cannot hear them, very low output. How to deal with it? In the settings, all sounds are at the highest level. When i play media sound is great so this is software bug and they still not fixed it on the phone prices 900euro. Shame on Samsung, really.

  • Lol...I think what the poor chap wanted to say is "This phone's durability will last only for the next one year post which it will start wearing!!

  • Seems like an Exynos version. What UI are you currently on? Oreo or the new Pie oneUI beta?

  • Dear Friends, I am Using Samsung Galaxy Note9 last 15 days, I am facing a problem. Mobile is automatically restart after 30/40 min. I am facing great problem. Can any one help regards this issue. Model-SM-N960F.

  • I doubt Samsung are reading these posts. I like the Samsung Note 9, because I love like making note using a stylus. Except Samsung has gone nuts with the pricing. Every phone, I have owned, I have managed to break the screen. So will I spend €1000 on a phone? The cost of screen repair? Or do I spend money on phone insurance? This phone is too big, too heavy. It means I have to buy an expensive case, to keep it in a cage, which makes the phone heavier. Curved edges make the phone more delicate. I like to go jogging and listen to music, but do I want to carry a gigantic phone on my run? Battery is not replaceable without going into a shop. The LG G5 has a slide out battery. It means the phone is disposable. The price in Europe is €1000 or you can buy an China import model for €650 without a guarantee and which the Chinese open the boxes, so they can remove the appropriate regions locks. Why cheat your European customers by charging more? It does not have an FM Radio. Some of us like to listen to it. Internet radio is not perfect. I doubt anyone at Samsung is listening. They are listening to all the people obsessed about bezels or notches.

  • true I have have note 9 and Note and Note 4 is not rubbish

  • use a clear cover original by Samsung € 13 or others € 2 from Aliexpress

  • agreed

  • 2nd update very fast

  • Sometimes I take my pictures without holding my phone using the S-Pen. It's practical.

  • The most complete phone of the year, for sure.

  • Of course, the pen is an option if you want to use it. Most people don't use the pen as far as I know.

  • So ive bought the note 9 (base 128GB model) and ive had it for a month now, not a lot of time yea but still, i will try to go through everything you might wanna know -Camera: well...honestly i expected more..and thats mostly due to how samsung advertised it (which turned out that they used professional cameras not the phone camera) i mean yea its really great, the videos are awesome, the pictures are clear though the front camera sometimes seems kinda blurry even when you wipe the lense..so it might require quite a stable hand, the super slo-mo is something i tried a couple times and it never failed to surprise me -Battery: all day battery? Well...maybe...depending on the usage ofc but it is noticeable that the battery is huge and it definitely can last a day even with constant google maps usage (location and mobile data), intelligent scan, camera, music and AOD...it really surprised me there as i come back home with most of the times enough battery to play games too or video chat with family and friends -UI: the stock samsung launcher that i think is called touchwiz (not sure though) is great, a few tweaks after you get it out of the box and you'd be using every shortcut and option with such ease to the point where you would think that the phone was pretty much made to fit you, smooth and never lagged on me so far -S Pen: i honestly rarely use the remote button thing..but when i do...it does its job with no problems..moving to the on-screen usage, i usually draw random stuff when im bored and the sensitivity of that thing is mind blowing, its close to a legit pen but not quite...not in a bad way ofc i mean this thing is amazing, the shortcuts from the air command are helpful like the smart select..it makes life much easier and extracting text works almost perfectly 95% of the time unless the font is weird, one of the things i loved about it is the ability to extract texts in languages you didnt add to your keyboard -Sound: yes..it is loud..almost loud enough to play music in the car instead of the radio but theres a small problem im having with it...the sounds are "noisy" like you can hear the music but it feels somewhat odd as if some sounds its not playing correctly compared to earphones..could be me just getting used to earphones a bit too much or perhaps the dolby atmos is doing some weird magic with it...never tried turning it off as it makes the earphones sound great and i rarely use the speaker for music, call wise (earpiece) its doing its job perfectly, can get loud enough to be heard within about 2 meters of you if needed (without turning on the speaker option) though no idea why would you wanna go deaf and let the public know that you are planing a night out or whatever but that would be your choice i guess -Dex:first time launching it i was surprised how such a relatively small phone (compared to a huge TV screen) can pretty much create a OS and transmit it to the TV..it made YT videos much more fun while doing things like cooking, looking at photos in the albums is also great especially with the remote s pen, no lag at all and a quite fun to use! Thats about it now ill just go over general stuff, the screen can get bright enough outside making it visible even when directly under the sun which is a huge thumbs up from me...also this phone never fell out of my hand not even once..YET and the shape of the phone has a lot to do with it...it grips perfectly in your hand, also ive seen people saying that the phone will definitely need 2 hands to use..yep it does...and i see no problem with that...if you need to use it with one hand it is possible but id rather put away the phone and focus on whatever im doing then going back to the phone...one hand operation is still relatively not so "one hand"...even when the screen moves everything closer to your right/left hand you still see yourself using your second hand sometimes (which isnt an issue to me) The glass back got me quite mad with the fingerprints as this is an elegant phone and having fingerprints all over it is like having an S Class Mercedes that has key scratches, graffiti of a mad ex and mud all over it all at once...but at least its really hard to scratch...its been sitting in my pocket with my house keys and it didnt even get one scratch though id recommend getting some cover for it if you get mad cause of the fingerprints on the back or you're a clumsy fella Overall you get what you pay for...elegant, fast and actually keeping up with you piece if machinery..able to take beating with heavy games and make it look easy, a 1000$ price tag? Yea thats not cheap..but honestly..in a world where you have to adapt to things you buy...this is the first item i bought that pretty much adapted to me and it never gave me the though of "what if i bought another phone..could it be better than this one?"..not saying its the best...there is yet more room to get better...but its pretty darn close to becoming a perfect phone in my opinion though theres also a small problem i have..game wise..the graphics of the PUBG on the iPhone 8 seem more crisp than on the note 9 for some reason...no lag, same graphics options yet it feels different...no idea what could that be...just saying this for the mobile gaming community Bare in mind im not advertising it..im sharing my experience over the 1 month course..the flaws are not even noticeable unless you are extremely picky like the fingerprints on the back and stuff

  • Can you use the Note 9 without a pen, IE use your finger?

  • I upraded my Note 9 to Android 9 beta version. Phone UI got a lot smoother and faster. Some apps do crash but its still a bug. Battery life increased to 22 hrs on QHD and phone heats up a lil when playing heavy games. Waiting for 2nd update on beta which will happen in 2 weeks.

  • You're Calling People Boring and you still are Using the Word Rubbish. Really ??? Plus Learn How To Spell. And The Note 4 is a Bad Phone ?? LOL

  • Why should I wait for the Galay S10 ?

  • Why people talking here 4 year old rubbish Note4 . Its 2018 december and some boring people is still living in 2014 , rubbishhhh . Note9 is very amazing phone

  • Galaxy Note 9 is also available in Cloud Silver color !!!

  • I would also like that. If that would happen I'll buy it quickly. I'm also a note 4 user. A month ago I bought a note 9. Although I won't get the 0-100% with replaceable batteries with note 9. I'm getting almost 8hrs sot with it. Whenever my note 9 would run out of juice I just put my sim card back to my note 4 while charging the note 9.

  • Got my Note9 last week. Updated to Android 9 beta program today. Initial impression is its absolutely great. Mobile feels fast and smooth. Lots of changes happened and it feels stable enough to use on your primary device. Hope to get more polished and smoother stable version soon.
