Sharp Aquos SH80F

I have Sharp SH-12C (Japanese NTT DoCoMo version of this SH80F) and you know, what? This thing is magnificent, majestic, marvelous! High quality product, just by staring you can feel quality. White version whom I have, has nice pearly finish. It lags only when I switch between 2d and 3d. I'd rate it 8/10 because it has some its own quirks, but I'd say, this majestic thing is way better than S2, S3 mini or Xcover2 whom I had earlier. Too bad, One Seg is pretty much useless.

I have the phone for 1 week and I am very pleased with it. I have only one problem. When I'm walking on the street, I can't hear the phone ringing. The ringtone volume is max. What can I do ? Is this a general problem ? or is my phone "special" ?

setiyo..no,im malaysiangin.. :) im afraid u must use cermin mata 3d. im not very sure about this model since we dont have this model in japan because we have more advance model in our market.We have SH102 in our market looks alike this phone model but comes with dual core,waterproof,12M pixel for camera,HD screen,and of course 3d supported.

Japanese Phones are not Available in Philippine Market Even Samsung Market in Philippines is limited only 60% of Samsung Phones are sold to Philippines and usually downgraded.. For example.. the Samsung Corby in South Korea Is alot better with 5MP camera and radio compared to Corby in the Philippines with 2MP and downgraded stuffs.. Also Japanese phones do not enter Philippines because the network is incompatible Japanese phones requires high 3G protocol CDMA .. WCDMA Philippine network is lagging behind Korea and Japan( who are 90% on 3G) while 90% of Philippine subscribers are mostly using 2G services also Japanese phones are usually locked to Japan until NTT Docomo announced they will not anymore after losing market shares.. So good luck finding Japanese phones anyway even if you do find and buy one many Applications of that Phone will not work in Philippines like(Electronic Wallet, Infrared, FeliCA electronic shopping, There are many Japanese phone functions that do not work in Philippines or any other countries

bluetooth wasn't invented by ericsson. it was a common research with nokia and sony. Nokia owned a messaging sistem who could sent ringtones and pictures between nokia phones. Sony owned even a better sistem. But each were working just between same brand phones. Ericsson came with the ideea to make an universal comunication sistem and the other phone manufacturers agreed with this ideea. It's true that Ericsson put this first on a phone but just because they launched the phone with bluetooth before Nokia or Sony.

..unfortunately Sharp phone has never been marketed in M'sia.. eventhough am one of Sharp audio division employee, Sharp phone never been promoted widely in this region

guys. i been using the phone for about 1 month now. both japanese and chinese version. here is the fact. if you want a cool phone that stands out from all the other samsung GS and moto droid atrix or htc, iphones etc. this phone does the job for you. no questions ask. but if you are hardcore android phone user and want to root this or change that. stay away for this phone. the japanese model and the chinese model of this phone is basically unrootable. if you want a phone just make/receive calls, text, mms. some casual games and plus internet go for it. and the 3D, well.. its cool for awhile then you will try not to switch it on because thanks for the small cap battery.

bluetooth was invented by ericsson and first implemented it in ericsson T36. nokia had it later on. also, ericsson introduced the first mms-capable terminal and first tri-band phone. please check your facts in the future.

This android phone is really giant. It has amazing features and engineered for perfection. Bluetooth was commonly used around year 2000 and first launched by Nokia but still SHARP never missed bluetooth and for a techie guy like me bluetooth is still important. GOOD JOB SHARP unlike other android phone manufacturer. Their units only looks good but features is still lacking.

Sharp is so advanced, guys just see the Sharp 104SH and you will be shocked! :O That phone is 8.6 mm thin, and its waterproof as well. Here is a link: This fantastic Sharp chose to "attack" the European market. First time they "attack" Orange, but after that they will come to the other networks as well.

I don't understand why should I read in specifications "Youtube, Facebook, Flickr, Twitter applications". Is an android phone, isn't it? I want to read about a phone with "Hi5, Tagged, applications". Or specifications like "Angry birds" at games. Anyway, this phone will be available in France first. And if you don't know yet, France is the first country wich banned by LAW, words like "Facebook" or "Twiter" in mass-media. Take a look at Aquos Phone (The Hybrid-007SH-from SoftBank), too!

I am using it from June(model name is SH-12C in Japan). This phone has internal memory 1Gb,in Japan comes with 2Gb microSD card. On the battery is written 1240mAh. On standby consumes less than 1% of battery per hour, on talking 3G/GSM consumes less than 20% per hour(for stanby and light talking lasts for 7 days). If you start using 3d, wi-fi, GPS or other app that consume power will last somewhere around 10 hours. Price should be lower than any 3D capable phones(HTC or LG), I think 400USD is a fair price.

I agree with you, they should NOT overprice this beauty. Sharp has a chance to win many customers, but with a reasonable price and with special features. I suppose, that their next smart phone will be a Dual Core one with waterproof capabilities. :>

Phone seems to be having awesome hardware and software. I hope it is not in short supply and is not obscenely priced. I don't know how the service of sharp is and how easily new batteries are available when the original one gets depleted.
